Rambling some theories about @askoverkill AU~

1) Bodies from the previous loops stay. Not sure if it's just previous outer loops or both inner and outer loops. Currently have this theory is because the skeleton under the rock. Very conspicuous that the spot where Siffrins die first has a degraded corpse. We could be seeing more bodies from now on.

2) Dusk was the previous Siffrin before Dawn. (Which makes sense tbh. Dawn being the one now starting while Dusk is losing). I was trying to figure out their role in this AU, but looking back at the intro, the Siffrin who holds the star looks VERY similiar to Dusk's outfit.

The main differences are 1) under clothes are different (which could be just a design change or just a sign of depression. Who knows) and 2) the flowers on the hat, which I suspect Lupus gave him. Other than that, the hats are both pointy, the hair is placed nearly EXACTLY the same, they both have six eyelashes instead of the usual Siffrin three, the collar is very distinctive, and the triangles on the cloak. And considering how even the background Siffrins in the intro are very distinctive, it can't be a coincidence that there are so many similarities between the intro Siffrin and Dusk. Dusk has to have been the previous Siffrin, but how much Dusk remembers of the previous outer loop.... I'm not sure. (In many ways this makes Dusk more of the Loop parallel than even Loop. Overkill AU Loop has been through so much that everything is detached at this point. Dusk meanwhile... for them the feelings of self identity are probably all still raw).

Also uh. This ask? Anon asks if every Siffrin who gives up loses their he/hims and the answer is "Dusk still has their pronouns despite everything". So uh. Implication that they're a Siffrin who gave up!!!!

3) The Director is a bad end act 5 Siffrin. There's another post that goes more into this, made by 3rd-shrike. I'm convinced this is the case especially since Loop has been confirmed to still have been sasasaap Siffrin. So that means the ISAT timeline very likely has to have happened as well (ie: we're not starting from scratch with the timeline in this au).

4) This has to end with Siffrin choosing self care. The entire AU is Siffrin throwing himself into a death chamber for the sake of their friends, choosing to become meat for the meat grinder despite everyone telling him to stop. This can only end if they choose not to go in.

jade nguyen - norwegian forest cat i was gonna do a different cat for jade (british shorthair) but then this breed popped up on my searches and i was instantly reminded of her in the yj show. why is that actually just. her.

linda park - cocker spaniel i knew someone who had a cocker spaniel once and the dog was so incredibly funny. was a strange little thing and i loved it! so. therefore its linda. she is also a funny and strange beasst <3

wally west - german shepherd i have no idea Why but wally is absolutely german shepherd vibes. do not @ me or correct me. im right. you can argue with the wall i dont caaare!

Jinx's appearance in s2 ep9 is a tragedy for her character. The writing throughout the season already tried its best to destroy absolutely everything meaningful to her and who she is at her core, and now we get the chance to see it visually.

I'll get this out of the way so nobody bothers me about it later: yes, I personally hate the design overall. But despite that if it was truthful to her character and reflected her journey well I wouldn't even squeak. Well, maybe one tiny time, but not make a whole post about it.

Alright, so right now I'm going to lign up all 3 of her designs and compare them in a sense how they represent Jinx as a character. I apologize for using The Wild Rift model because it's actual hell to find her s2 ep9 look in good quality and with a good view of the details.

There's a pretty stark difference between Powder and Jinx. The only element they share is gloves, but on Jinx they are modified and have a different color. There are however also similiar "motifs"(?), like purple stripes on clothes, Jinx's belts are positioned in a way that mirrors Powder's blue...thing on her pants; also Powder has a small braid on the side of her head, as well as golden hairpins, while Jinx has two braids that are waaay longer, but she still has golden elements that support her braids.

Now, the differences. Powder's clothes are layered and are made from different fabrics, covering almost her entire body. This represents that she's a shy, frightly girl with very low self-esteem. Jinx, on the other hand, has waaay more open skin, even to a somewhat inappropriate degree. This shows us that she became confident and doesn't care what others think of her, maybe even to a fault. Her boots in some way resemble jester's shoes, showing us her more light-hearted attitude, especially towards violence.

Also, unlike Powder, who only ever shot from a toy gun and made bombs that didn't work, Jinx is a prodigy bomb maker and a master shooter with (what seems like) a hand-made pistol, and on top of that has an also self-made machine gun. So from all of this we can pick up that this is the same person, but she changed in a huge way, hence why even her name is different.

Now, onto the Jinx we see in s2 ep9. She cut off her braids, colored streaks of her hair, especially on the bang, replaced her pants, top, and belts, made herself a hood, painted over her tattoos with x-es and Ekko's symbols, fused her machine gun with Fishbones, her recently made rocket launcher (ignore the wild rift picture for this part), and completely remade her pistol. The only things that carry over from her previous outfit are gloves, boots (which are now fully laced), her necklace aaaand yeah that's it. Motifs are left the same, except for her hair of course.

Now, I want to talk about a couple of elements in detail. Her hood is made from unknown material, and resembles some kind of monster, rather than a monkey, raven or shark, her previously established symbols. Like someone pointed out, it probably resembles drawings on Isha's helmet.

Also Jinx has pink markings under her eyes, just like Powder from Ekko's vision in season 1 ep7.

The bandages that replace her top are the same ones Vi has.

So, with all of that information, what can we tell about Jinx at the end of her journey? The obvious answer is that she decided to move on, but in what way? Accepting both "Powder" and "Jinx" parts of her? But then why did she paint over her tattoos? Something permanent, that shows how irreversibly she changed over the years, and will never become the same girl again? Moreover, why didn't she make the new tattoos, pink bullets? Yes yes, pink bullets. Both LoL Jinx and even s2 ep9 skin for Jinx in The Wild Rift have pink bullets tattoos, but arcane Jinx doesn't. Why tho? Well, of course, it's our good ol' pal Silco erasure. Because, you see, Jinx killed Silco with her Pow-Pow, and when she shoots with it, the bullets are seen as pink projectiles. So, not only does Jinx figuratively want to "paint over" her past with Silco, she also in no way wants to capture what she did to him and that in the very same night she finally accepted herself as Jinx. Of course we know that s2 writers didn't want to follow up on this decision, but adding a couple of effects onto her model isn't that big of a job. Anyway

Why did she go back to covering her legs entirely? Is she more careful now, orrr perhaps she seeks protection from someone? No. Why does she have paint all over her, and Ekko's symbols in particular? Is she a part of the Firelights now? Even if that's the case, it was never confirmed on screen. Why did she completely change her haircut, only leaving a bang? I guess hair holds the memories or whatever, so to start a new life you shouldn't have any memories of the previous one? Idk. Why did she replace her top with bandages like Vi's, if the last time they saw each other Jinx told Vi to let her go and forget about her? Idk. Why did she fuse Pow-Pow and Fishbones together? Idk.

The only things I more or less don't question are the hood and markings, but then again, I'm not really happy with the fact that we see Jinx in them in her "last" moments either. That's the part of my biggest problem with all of this, actually. It took around 10 years for Jinx to have such a big difference in how she looks, but the latest change happened literally overnight. No matter how you try to explain this, this is objectively terrible writing. In less than one episode the main character of the series drastically changed her appearance in ways that should tell us about a big character development, but we didn't get a chance to see any of it. Not the process, nor the development itself, because Jinx behaves in ep9 the same way she behaves in the rest of s2.

So, what was that all about? I guess they wanted to fill out the quota of a minimum of two outfit changes per season, but it's in no way justified within the show. And that's why this is a tragedy. Jinx went from the most well-written character in the show with incredible design and conflict to the writer's toy which only function is to be sacrificed.

The line of thinking that anarchists and communists share the same goals, namely the destruction of class oppression, money and the state, is a superficial but nevertheless common and easy mistake to make, one which I think most communists have made at one point. The disagreement seems to merely have to do with the question of the state and how to use it (or not use it), and the velocity with which those abolitions should be sought. But this disagreement is not the real core of the question, it's the main symptom of the actual difference.

The difference lies in the use of two completely different frameworks of analysis. Let's continue using the argument around the state to explain the difference. Anarchists believe¹ that the state itself is simultaneously the cause and perpetuator of class oppression, or oppression in general. Therefore, abolish the state, and everything else comes tumbling down by its own weight. Marxists, on the other hand, hold that the state, while it is a perpetuator of class oppression, it is not a cause, rather, the state fits into a larger relation between the superstructure and the infrastructure. The latter contains everything directly related to the mode of production and its associated processes and relations. The former contains everything else in a society, including the state, but also the police, the media, education, etc. The infrastructure supports the superstructure, while the superstructure protects and justifies the infrastructure. The state protects the mode of production, which is the actual source of class exploitation, but it's the mode of production that supports the existence of the state.

By destroying a state in any practical sense, you destroy the best tool the proletariat has to protect its own interests during the process of completely transforming society into a communist one. The state is a tool of class oppression, of any class unto any class. If the proletariat as a class take control of the state, after having replaced the mode of production to a collectivized one, then the state will serve to oppress the bourgeoisie as a class to protect the now non-exploitative mode of production. If you destroy this tool, the proletariat is left defenseless against the still powerful external threats and the extant internal threats.

Identifying the state as a source of oppression in and of itself comes from a liberal framework, in which any expression of oppression becomes the oppression itself, and in which tails wag their dogs. Beyond this superficially narrow but deeply broad difference in frameworks, the actual practical instances of that flawed liberal framework are inefficient, counterproductive and at times dangerous actions. Cooperation is possible, nothing further from the truth, but it benefits no one to do so under the impression that it's a cooperation born of similar outlooks on the world. It's a contextual cooperation born of a common opposition, which is not a sufficient requirement to define a useful and progressive course of action.

because of reasons I could be very mean about, it's nigh-impossible to come up with a deeper definition of anarchist ideas without some anarchist or other popping up about how the anarchism they believe in does not actually contain that definition. For the sake of this post, I'm not going to placate this by amending every statement with "most anarchists", "almost all anarchists", and other such expressions.

Here is why i find it strange that there are some people who seem to think Minrathous specifically is too sanitized:

To be so clear with anyone reading this, i am telling you why I personally do not take issue with there not being *sigh* more slavery in this game.

You don’t see more slaves (other than the ones you explicitly free) because you’re in the poorest part of Minrathous and the slaves, presumably owned by all the altus families, would be living in slave quarters with the altus families in the nicer parts. (Read up on the depiction of slavery debt vs. chattel HERE if you care)

Now that’s the easiest answer. But for anyone making this complaint, that isn’t good enough because we want to see the horror or it Doesn’t Exist. So allow me to continue.

What we learn form Dorian in DAI is that he doesn’t think slavery is wrong because his family ‘always treated their slaves well’. To treat slaves poorly in Minrathous is seen as Bad. It’s a moral responsibility to treat slaves well. Obviously, not everyone abides by this (I’m looking at you, corpses outside if Zara’s bloodbath chamber) but it’s the party line, if you will.

So, no. There aren’t slaves being whipped in the streets. Or…whatever else you might want to see. Because everything that happens in Tevinter, happens behind closed doors. Even blood magic is ‘officially’ frowned upon. Tevinter prides itself on a public stance that often isn’t reflected in actual moral practice. And I could tell you that it feels more indicative of politics as they are in real world now to have the outward stance be very different than the actual beliefs and values/morals held. But this post is about the apparent lack of slavery/racism in Veilguard, so I digress.

I have seen a lot of people bring up up alienages, or the lack-there-of in Minrathous. Which is, in the south, an area where the elves live similiar to ghettos/slums. Alienages were set up by Divine Renata I after the Exalted March against the Dales. They are a direct result of elves being forced into one walled-off part of town and creating a subculture based in-part on Dalish influence/heritage (the tree of the people being an example).

Stay with me.

Tevinter doesn’t have alienages. But Minrathous has Dock Town, which we are told explicitly is the poorest part of Minrathous. And we see that it is the poorest part because there are beggars everywhere and literally shanty towns along the streets where people are living. We are told explicitly by Neve that no one cares about Docktown except her (and the Shadow Dragons). There are demons running rampant, murders, thievery and no one cares because it’s Dock Town. Presumably because the Templars/any other sort of police they may have are a) corrupt and b) who cares about the poors??? They don’t contribute anything to society anyway and we don’t care about them.

In Dock Town most of what we’re seeing are not slaves, you’re right. They’re likely Liberati, freed slave class. Who are graciously allowed to begin a trade or join a Circle. They are not, however, allowed to serve in the military, the government, hold any rank in the imperial chantry. Also in Dock Town: the poorest of the Soperati, who can own property and serve in the military but otherwise have no representation in government or any real rank in the imperial chantry, or in general the ability do any social climbing. So they can never move up, they always stay stagnant, always poor and weak and never ever able to do anything about it.

This is your alienage equivalent, if it’s not clear. You’re in it. No, it isn’t walled off. But it doesn’t need to be walled off or called an alienage to be that part of town.

And before you ask about the tree of life, Tevinter slaves (and therefore the liberati class) are not just elves. They’re humans, dwarves and Qunari also (this is from World of Thedas Vol. I). All of which have different backgrounds, traditions and would not come together to form such a cohesive culture based on their Dalish heritage for reasons i’m sure i don’t have to spell out.

On a final and a bit of a personal note: i live in the southeast US. Bible belt. I grew up in a majority white suburb, and yes, I’m white. So as I said, if you have a different take, you’re entitled to it and maybe my opinion means nothing. But I grew up constantly hearing about the part of town that we don’t go to. Don’t go to that shopping center, its too close to [part of town where the minorities live]. And i tell you this to say that i never heard any of the adults in my life use a slur, but it doesn’t mean they weren’t being racist. And in fact, a lot of then pride themselves on not being racist and fail to see their implicit biases and the systemic racism.

So yeah, i guess to me, the minorities and the poor people being relegated to the part of town no one cares about, where crime and corruption are rampant is racism/classism as i have witnessed it most commonly in real life. It seems odd to me that people missed it or that it seems to not be ‘enough’ for people when it’s the kind of racism that is the most rampant in the present times (at least where i am) even if it’s not as explicit.

Again, i could get into the 40 acres and a mule, post-civil war reconstruction failures that kept black people down (share cropping) and is still keeping them down now and all the ways that minorities having the ‘same rights’ somehow tricks some people into thinking that racism and bigotry doesn’t exist anymore (just because Dock Town isn’t walled off doesn’t mean the people who live there are reasonably free to live elsewhere). But maybe that’s for another post where we talk about how freeing slaves is good, but not nearly enough to actually help marginalized people. (Government reform, which you know…you get to choose the new archon but that is irrelevant and doesn’t mean anything)

*I’d also like to say that i saw a post which referenced Chantry teachings that say kissing elves is like kissing a dog. I don’t know about this. What I do know is that in The Masked Empire There is a scholar out of the university in Orlais who comes out (on the authority and encouragement of Gaspard) and says that to lie with an elf is to lie with an animal because they’re more like rabbits and follow their baser instincts. I can only assume this is to what that post is referring. You may correct me if i am wrong.

So #1 it didn’t come from the chantry, as i remember. And #2 the schism between the Northern and Southern chantries is widely known, so what applies to one may not apply to the other. Very big rift. So it’s not surprising to me that this doesn’t come up, is all I’m saying.

All One World: I rly adore the characterizations in this fic. Enterily Fred pov. He got insecurities about everyone thinking him stupid and that he can only ever be a comic relife. He also hates how they always talk as if he and George are one person, not different people no matter how similiar. Hermione wears his rule abiding rigid front as a defensive mask. She got more then one and theyre so perfect even Fred in the know sometimes forgets thats what theyre are. She is also sarcastic and witty and very caring and observant. She never fails to identify him right or know the right thing to put him at ease and he does the same for her pulling her out of her flunks.

Band Tees (You're Fucked.): Very bittersweet it literally made me fucking cry by the end. Fred had loved Hermione since the yule ball and he is the only one who knows about her love of grunge punk. They both share their love of punk music. It's just theirs.

Methods: Fred starts a playful flirty banter that Hermione decides to indulge him with joining in. Thats the first time she startles him. She is deadpan and sarcastic and all for teasing him and startling him. They keep up a fluid flirty banter no heed for the audience

A Charming Fairy Godprince: After Ron's mess up before the Yule ball Fred & George takes it into their own hands to cheer Hermione up and be her magical godfathers like Cinderella's. They rewamp her dress and enlist Ginny for her hair. Of course it cant go without over the top very obvious flirting (on Fred's part) and various compliments.

By the Common Room Fire: Fred is sick but still with the usual drama and flair lays across Hermione's lap and demans head scratches like a cat.

Destiny and Chicken: Hermione is sick so Fred brings her soup, tea and potions.

Exploding Potions and Accidental Revelations: Amortia explodes over Hermione in potions class so she smells like what everyone is attracted to. Fred commits social suicide by announcing she smelled the same as usual before knowing what is going on.

Favourite Weasley: The twins invite Hermione out to the Quidditch match. Who's her favorite Weasley? Wrong answers only.

It Looks Better On Me: The twins accidentally soak Hermione and it’s laundry day so Fred throws his jumper at her to wear. Then Fred is sick so he ain’t playing but out to watch the match so Hermione pulls her hat over his head. Later when he is better he flaunt it around so Hermione decides to steal another of his stuff in retaliation. It sparks an all out war.

While You Were Gone: Ron and Harry leave cuz they need a break after the war leaving mione behind which brakes her and the twins take it into their own hands. They basically adopt her as their third. Its rly fluffy and wholesome, warm and fricking hilarious . It also gonna make u wanna murder Ron and Harry :)

A Small Change: Fred got such a good grades in OWLs they thought he cheated but he didn', he is panicked about doing so well and wanna actually try in school so he writes to Hermione and she helps him. They become rly good friends from then and start to exchange letters and meet up a few times. Theyre rly wholesome and his anxiety about school and his family's reaction is just so real

don't you know you've got the best of me?: Hermione meets the twins and their friend group on the train and they meet again at the sorting. She ends up talking with the twins a few more times and they end up adopting her into their friend group. She aint rly that close with Harry and Ron and she befriended them much later. Most of her friends are all of the twins' year. She is the closest with Fred and theyre best friends, he is also very protective and possessive of her.

Whole New Meaning to "Mooning" Over Someone: When you throw something during the full moon your soulmate 'catches' i. Aka a frustrated Hermione throws her book during the full moon which consequently smashes into a poor sleeping Fred's face.

i wanted to see you again, so please be gentle: Soulmates and modern au with under caffeinated disaster Hermione bulldozing over the interaction not even realizing she met her soulmate. Absolutely hilarious first liner.

Straight Into My Arms: Every year since he was five fred asked for his soulmate from santa till one day they literally fell out of the sky and landed in their arms

George/Hermione

Fancy a night in?: Post-war. George finds any excuse to go over to Hermione's and make her smile.

Tango - Venus

Extremely hot, hottest planet in the solar system thanks to it's thick vulcanic atmosphere. Lightning storming firey surface yet calm clouds at higher elevation.

It's surface is partially melted due to vulcanic activity. (Also looks bald without clouds lmao.

Despite this It's called after Venus, ronan goddes of love equated to the greek's Aphrodite. Love and beauty, what does Tango have to do with that?

Hmmm I wonder.

Bdubs - Ceres.

Ceres is a muddy (literally clay) dwarf planet (small) that orbits in the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars. It is full of craters since it stays in the asteroid belt and wouldn't you know it that fits as well.

Also it is named after the roman goddess of nature often equated to Demeter which fits perfectly with his nature and especially moss theme.

Etho - Mimas.

I could give a bunch of reasons for this one like silver fitting Etho perfectly or the icyness fitting with Etho's association with ice. But like..

You see it right?

Also Mimas is a moon of Saturn exactly like his soulmate-

Joel - Titan

This is Titan, the biggest of Saturn's moons. The colour fits that of a swamp and the name titan usually refers to something gigantic despite this being only a moon and not a planet and therefore small. It's also at the temperature where methane has a cycle similiar to water and has a haze of methane vapour covering it like mist...it therefore smells and looks very swampy.

Also also if we do this we can have Lizzie as Titania, which is a different moon named after the fae queen which fits perfectly with Lizzie... Speaking of:

Lizzie - Titania

Not only all that I stated in Joel's bit but this moon is also mostly made of ice and likely has an ocean of water underneath the ice. This means It's both linked to Ocean Queen Lizzie and fae Lizzie. Also It's not completely gray, it has a red-pinkish hue... It's a uranus moon btw.

Jimmy - Europa.

First of all completes the trio with Lizzie and Joel as it is a Jupiter moon (While Titan is a satellite of Saturn and Titania of Uranus).

Second of all It's canary colored with two almost wing shaped patches on opposite sides.

Third of all it has a strong connection with death and dying because it is literally covered in bleeding wounds.

Skizz - Uranus.

Listen, It's a chill big blue planet that spins really funky and has an halo of ice. It's perfect for Skizz, I already said so once and I'll say it again.

Also Skizz would love it because of the jokes around the name.

If you aren't convinced Uranus is named after the greek god of the sky which fits Skizz's making TIES live in the sky and his obsession with wind charges in Hermitcraft.

BigB - Neptune.

Dark cold and mysterious, the strongest storms in the solar system hidden by a facade of calmness and peacefulness. The furthest planet from the sun it is the one that holds the most mysteries. The one we know the least about between the main 8.

Reginald - I imagine him as a long range guy, who's not good at close combat due to his rather lanky build, never getting close to the threat and keeping his distance. This could be problematic if not for the fact that he has his loyal right hand man with him for most of the time. Reginald specialises in using guns and often is the brain of the operation.

Right Hand Man - While he's seen using a gun in various parts of the game, he seems to like engaging in close combat more, he uses a gun only when he wants to eliminate someone quickly (in most of his battles with Henry he doesn't use a gun, only long range attack of his being the laser in his reborn form)

Reginald doesn't engage in fighting much when he's the leader of the toppat clan, but at the time when he was actively taking part in heists (or after the toppat king ending) him and RHM would form a good duo <- my copperright ass brain thinking about RHM protecting Reginald whenever he got himself into a fist fight of sorts during a heist. Vice versa Reginald would protect RHM from long range attacks, shooting his opponents from farther away. They just got eachother backs i think.

Triple Threat

Ellie - Her and Henry are pretty similiar when it comes to combat I think, but she's more on the close combat side to me, either using her fists or a weapon of choice (think like, the STOP sign or some other metal pipe or pole). She's good at quick planning and is capable of working and bouncing off of others when fighting. She can also use the force, which might be more on the long range side, but she's more of a jump into action kind of girl to me.

Henry - He's actually a secret third option to me, he mostly relies on items or on weird/stupid ideas when in danger, rarely seen doing actual fighting, he's literally just a guy with weird item summoning abilities. But if the situation calls for actual combat, he's more of a close combat guy (Stickmin Pawnch, and the cheap fighting combo)

Charles - He's wayyy more used to being a long range guy and using guns or his helicopter, it's rare to see him outside of it, but he could win a fist fight for sure. He prefers long range though, it's the most comfortable way of fighting for him, he knows that helicopter better than the palm of his hand.

So Triple Threat is mostly two close combat idiots and a long range one, they are either really successful together and pull off crazy impressive stuff, or they create the stupidest plan to exist and explode and die badly💥.

Rupert - To me, he's good at both, long range and close combat, he's an officer after all, with 8 years experience of being a policeman. He's good at what he does and pretty strong, though I like to think that he's very independent sometimes and could jump into a situation in which he tries to bite off more than he can chew, getting himself into a fight with more people than he is able to defeat (thinking about him trying to fix his past mistakes by working extra hard and trying to do more than he can sometimes, does that make sense)

cant get over the fungi on ruidus sorry. i have more to say

its implied that the reilorans are able to survive and farm the fungus, theres at least 347 different species of fungus native (?) to ruidus, and theres also slime molds*. evolutionarily (assuming the life evolved independently on ruidus which is a very bold assumption) this would imply that theres also prokaryotic life (bacteria, basically) and likely advanced eukaryotic organisms in the form of animal life, which we do see! its very possible that the reason theres so little plant life on ruidus is because something about the makeup of the planet is aggressively harmful to plants, if i had to guess its the lack of easily available sunlight due to the constant dust storms and the soil is probably unfavorable for growing. this probably means that fungus makes up the majority of the biomass for animals to consume or animals are much more adapted for absorbing nutrients from the soil/other sources.

i do think its interesting that fungus seem to survive and thrive SO well in the deep caverns because most fungus (on earth, and exandria. probably) are decomposers and need organic material to survive off of. they could be decomposing the crystal corpse of predathos though, which is the coolest idea in the world to me, or they could just do so well that they've created an independent ecosystem underground complete with its own n- and c-cycles.

the fungus on ruidus seem to take more after kingdom animalia in general, since theyre motile (for those unawares, fungus are actually MUCH much much more related to animals than they are to plants, so this isnt that out there) which is super cool. the myceits are somehow related to the fungi's sexual reproduction because we see the sterile mycelium on it's own and it doesn't seem to be producing any spores, where the myceits do have spore producing structures (specifically they have hymenophores, since they are most similiar to hymenomycete mushrooms). so i think its likely the myceits are just advanced forms of spore dispersal and will run around till they find somewhere favourable to drop spores (or passively will drop them as they move) and probably they have very short life spans </3 sorry myceits

also myceit = mycete = fungi kingdom. proof of earth-equivalent taxonomy existing in exandria? possibly why the ruidians call them myceits is because theyve seen botanists dream about mushrooms and refer to them as "mycetes" !

*gaz, the source for the # of fungus, seems to consider slime molds a kind of fungus, so its unclear whether all the species are actually true fungi, but i digress because slime molds are closely related to fungus anyway. also 347 is a really low number of species for an entire planet, but whatever.

Gaz, my golden boy, a bit clichê, but he would definitely be a model, I can't see him anywhere else. This man would be in Vogue, and if someone questioned, he would be like "That model really looks like me".

Ghost it's extreme, we would either be a butcher, just there to pay rent, or he would do like, theater/musicals, at t first he was just there for the joke, someone like him doing this, but then he just found out he has a great voice, then he's making "colleagues" they're friends he just doesn't want to admit, then he's full on making tours.

Soap, a little bit controversial, but he at frist would try something "More like military", cop, etc. then he tried being a kindergarden teacher, and now he's full on making little activities with the children. This man loves kids.

I wanted to say firefighters, cops, and the like- but its lowkey similiar to military. So if i had to think anything way different, id say he'd be a headchef at a high end restaurant.

Its stressful, working in cramped space with the heat and all, they need someone level headed like him who could also command people.

Gaz being a model just made sense, ofc- but for some reason i had this idea that it would be a cliche where he never even think of working in that field.

He just be minding his own business and then suddenly this guy scouted him, offering him a job as calvin klein model or something. Which sounded like a scam, Gaz thought it was a scam, but apparently not.

That, or one day he agreed to model for a friend's little online shop. It was nothing big, but somehow he went viral and now there are a lot of people seeking to recruit him, offering a hefty amount of money.

That, or he would be working at a job that work directly with people to help them.

He's also very kind, empathetic, and always wanted to help people. So.. (again if its not fireman and smtn similar to miliatry) he would make more sense to work in the hospital, he'd work in ER or be a pediatrician. EMT also works for him

Some other things i think he would do.. are stuff that's not too extreme, idk why- but compared to the others, outside of the military it made sense for him to have a comparably chill job. BUT- just like musical, I could actually picture him doing stand up comedy on the side LOL

Soap being kindergarten teacher would be great, coz i HC him having a big family and so he was used to handling children (cousins, nephews, nieces, and all). BUT the thing is- he treated every children like they were part of the MacTavish, which means he often play too rough with them. The kids are having fun, they're fine, but parents don't like that. He would also do great working as a football coach for kids.

And, I feel like he would need a job thats often stimulating, he's also very smart so I can picture him being a detective actually, or high-end engineer (aerospace, biomedic, nuclear, etc)

This will probably be my most controversial design for now, but i think i have nice explanation. So, i drew fan favorite ✨Regis✨

Regis is one of the best people in witcher universe, but he is still a vampire. Geralt always felt weird about him, and when he found out what he was, he was terrified. Fringilla was also catious around him, so i figured that his very presence is intimidating.

In my headcanon, Vampires are similiar to dopplers, they can turn into various animals but only one person. And their tranformation is much more painful and grotesque which we can see in this drawing. I relied on uncanny valley, i don't want vampires in my drawings to be just another pointy thooted undeads, i want them to be smthg else. His human look should look human, but with a very small unnatural feeling, so guess what i used for inspiration. Botched plastic surgeries! Like Simon Cowell, Donatella Versace, etc. I wanted to focus on creepy smile, since in the books in the scene where Dandelion hurts his head, Regis is described with a huge scary grin. When he transforms into huge bat like creature, he basically rips his human skin off revealing horrifying, gorey insides. I think it's very interesting for Regis to look uncanny, since it's a very nice contrast for his great personality. Plus, it creates very unique dynamic between him and readers, since you will never know if he'll end up being bad, which makes his sacrifice in the end much more meaningful imo. My idea for vampires is that they can mimic human shape, but not what makes us humans. Bcz they do not understand our emotions, our mannerism, social gestures and basic human experiences, so even tho they can look human, they can never capture humanity, which causes uncanny valley.

Another subtle detail is that i tried making him look similiar to Geralt, almost like a demonic version of Geralt. And that's mostly bcz we all mimic people we like. We copy their movements and their speech when we feel comfortable. And i assume, Vampires are no different. Except instead of movements and speech, vampires borrow faces. Think of my Regis as a parody of Geralt, an extension maybe. So that's another neat detail i added.

In the upper image, he is simply discussing poetry and art with Dandelion, regardless of his creepy smile, Dandelion knows that Regis is harmless...

In the middle is my favorite scene in which when he was challanged by that priest. Here we see his petrifying and vampiric side where he walks towards the priest while scaring him shitless with his mandela catalogue type face.

And then at the bottom are simply few of his faces, mostly during the Stygga battle.

We see our canon Octavinelle, and we immidiately think of some sort of business, either if its more legal or less legal one

We see this ver serious vibe and when we go through story, we see this manipulative nature, that may be even just a covering mask

Now we see this theme, obviously I couldn't do anything similiar to that, since it doesn't sit right with Ariel's character

At first I was thinking of theatre, which idea I really liked, but design making was HELL. So I needed something that would give not only acting creativity, but also childish like dreams and gullibility

And the first better idea was circus theme

Circus does not only have clowns that can symbolise gullibility and childish nature, but also acrobats, scenes, and action that is made to be watched by any ages

This... Is also gonna be a very specific reference to this one movie, ,,Butterfly Circus", a movie that somehow made me percieve circus as a symbol of dreams and freedom (I really recommend to watch it btw, its very good)

Because our dear Azul has a dream, and also sort of disability (which I wont specify for now, who knows, then know).

I only have one solid theory/idea from the trailer and its that we're NOT getting the coup this season but they want us to think they are/are setting it up

this shot very clearly wants to hint at it, but I'm fairly certain that this is Liandrin and Lanfear, NOT Elaida and Alviarin. And its probably in TAR. I'm pretty sure a lot of this trailer is in TAR or is weird Rhudiean visions

and since we all but know for certain that Elaida has been cast and who is playing her, we can rule out the "They're making Liandrin into Elaida" theories

And then we have this shot of Liandrin, which I'm guessing is in Tanchico since pretty much everyone in this shot has a veiled face. They all also appear to be women, there are at least ten different people that can be seen and you can see large rings on some of them. So I'm guessing its the 13 Black Sisters that fled White Tower after committing crimes that include theft and murder!

And while some are garbed in what might be Tanchico fashion, some clearly aren't, which makes sense for a group of Aes Sedai of different origins who may have very different opinions on adopting the local fashion versus doing whatever they want

Then we also have this shot of Moghedien and she is clearly with Liandrin who is dressed similarly and in a similiar location to the previous screen shot, but I'm pretty sure this is a separate scene due to Liandrin's hair. And we know that Moghedien takes control of Liandrin's group in Tanchico after being undercover as a maid for them for a while.

Given Liandrin's reaction, if there is an undercover period, I'm guessing that this is after she takes control and reveals herself.

But they didn't flee in the show yet and Liandrin is with Lanfear in the first shot so how does this make sense?

Well let's look at these other shots that very clearly what us to think "coup"

Alanna and her warders fighting in the streets of what appears to be Tar Valon. It seems like it might be coup moments and all but later we get this shot

its very clearly the same scene and very clearly only Alanna and Liandrin fighting.

So I don't think this is the coup. I think this is Liandrin fleeing Tar Valon after being given orders by Lanfear which included the Black Sisters leaving as well and eventually ending up in Tanchico

And the orders either fail or they proceed to get ignored by Lanfear because she's too busy homoerotically chocking out Moiraine in the desert or something and when its clear Lanfear is distracted, Moghedien comes in to try to take control of Liandrin's group and the White Tower

which makes sense because we can assume that the role of Mesaana is being taken up by another Forsaken or maybe divided between Lanfear and Moghedien. And it also makes sense because in the books, Moghedien only takes control of the group because they were basically abandoned by whoever was initially giving them orders and it became a point of confusion that Moghedien started focusing them on conflicting matters to what they were originally tasked to do.

so basically, I don't think the coup is happening this season. I think the coup is going to be set up this season, but they are very specifically not showing certain faces or events in relation to this. I think that early in the season, Liandrin and her Black Ajah group are going to cause whatever this is in the White Tower and flee to Tanchico, and based on the voice over we hear from Siuan, I think its her sending off the girlies to hunt them for sport after this happens. but I think if the coup does happen this season, its gonna be a fucking cliffhanger for the last episode lmao
