tired of going on the news to see conservatives saying that criticizing israel's government is antisemitic, while also ranting about "soros-backed globalist woke elites etc etc" like. they. they know what they're doing. right

I'm not jewish but there's this VERY weird and blatant thing people. especially christians. in the american south do #where they romanticize judaism while also spouting antisemitism. usually at the same time #most obviously in the phrase 'judeo christian values' like. they're different religions #with some similiarities but also a lot of distinct differences. including the way they engage with and interpret holy texts #and a lot of them have this idea that they can take closed practices from judaism bc 'jesus was jewish'#and overall treat it like a primitive form of christianity. which it's not. it's a completely separate religion/culture #and like. they act like they respect it. but only as far as the idea that it's a 'stepping stone' to christianity. which it's not
