genuinely curious how the writers and larger dragon age audience would treat thom rainier if instead of being appropriately* repentant and putting himself in prison he blew up a major orlesian government building to instigate a chevalier rebellion or tried to have someone do some necromantic blood magic ritual involving uncertain danger and possible sacrifices to bring the innocent children he ordered killed back to life

started off as me redrawing some of my initial mairon designs and ended up going on an rpg tangent 😭 i really wish i could have done the portraits in a pixel art style to better fit the aesthetic but my canvas wasnt the right size!!! i ended up changing annatar completely (im still contemplating how much i prefer this one compared to his old one however...!) and adjusting post-numenor sauron a bit when compared to their old 2022 sketches! im probably gonna do more redraws in the months to come cause of all the stuff i wanna change when i look back to some of my old designs haha 😳

As I am on my headcanons bullshit, another one I developed is that even if Konrad is well... crazy, his total gremlin behaviour is just a clever act.

Like that man can be normal as far as his visions of doom let him be normal, but he totally can act somewhat adequate. But acting as completely feral gremlin does creep everyone out *cough* mostly Corax *cough* and Konrad at this point just does that for shits and giggles.

Except skinning people alive. That is done on full seriousness. That man is conasseur of skinning people alive. He has Michelin stars for that.

the most frustrating part abt the scene with alicent and rhaenyra (other than it being ridiculous) is the attempt at portraying alicent as a passive victim with zero agency (TO BE CLEAR she's a victim of both otto and viserys, that's not a question, she had no choice there. she did, however, have a choice in other moments and those are what i'm talking abt in this post). the writers essentially made her go "oh i thought he was talking about MY aegon. well, it's too late. i am a tragic figure who never wanted war. oh no" like ?? some of us have eyes and can see that alicent has been actively trying to gain power, undermine rhaenyra, and divide the family even before the time skip. she shows up to rhaenyra's wedding late and wearing green, she sows discord between their kids, spreads rumors of rhaenyra's children being bastards despite knowing it could get them killed (+ in the book the only ppl yapping abt them being bastards were alicent and criston cole bc the point of spreading rumors was to undermine and hurt both them and rhaenyra, if it was true or not was irrelevant), and she literally hits aegon and insists that rhaenyra will kill him to cement her claim to the throne even when there's been no indication that she would. alicent did not have to do any of those things, she actively chose to

and rhaenyra was willing to leave all that in the past by marrying helaena and jace thus ending the (then metaphorical) war between their sides of the family, but alicent refused bc she wanted power and for rhaenyra to not have any, so she made active choices to ensure that, and didn't care for the consequences. now her son is the king, she never prepared him for it so he's shit at it, she can't control him, she has no power, and the only person surprised is her (and otto). but again, these are choices SHE made or helped make. making an enemy of rhaenyra, and everything that came bc of that, was a choice. she would've helped put aegon on the throne whether viserys quoted the prophecy to her or not, be it usurpation (which it was) or not. that was a choice alicent made. stop portraying her as a passive victim of the dance when that role belongs to helaena

when i was a kid i had braces and for some reason the dentist thought my canines were too sharp so he filed ONE of them down and just kinda... left the other? idk why. maybe the sharpness was just getting in his way. i dont understand the logic. so now i just have one snaggletooth fang like somekind of anime character because of this incomprehensible decision my dentist made 10 years ago. no i dont want it fixed im trying to be half vampire. wouldve liked both but im at peace

nick got traded when she was in college and she was wondering why he's calling her at 1AM when she has class in the morning

his family was all in vegas for camp and had bought a bunch of merch (jerseys, stuff for the house) and returned it all (except for a few suzuki jerseys) after they found out about the trade

they met at 16/17 through social media — "a snapchat love story" which was "very 2016 of us" (caitlin also knew ryan through friends before nick)

they got their first cat when she first moved to montreal because she said she needed something to take care of other than herself while he's gone all the time and he agreed. she's the cat person (grew up with cats) and nick's family never had any pets growing up

julie says it makes sense that they have cats because they both have the "calmest demeanor"

they fostered golden retriever ruby through the foundation nick is an ambassador for in the summer of 2024 and they could be adopting her full time: "maybe she'll be in our future, we'll find out. she's been training to be a facility service dog, which I may have also been doing that since the fall. so we'll see."

everyone says nick's so calm, collected, and mature. they forget how young he is. julie calls him "an old soul" and seeing him play with her kids reminded her that he is just 20 and can let loose too.
