im really suprised that there isnt alot of sam drake x sully stuff for uncharted they straight up work together after uncharted 4 and are still hanging out with each other in the epilogue even though they both seem to be retired so they are just chilling in cuba??? gay behavior they are chilling together cause they are gay lovers. But then I remembered that a lot of the popularity of the game died out in like 2017 and 2017 was not the year for old man yaoi
#back in the day you could get called out for saying yaoi#uncharted#I'll bring the fandom back trust me#sam drake x victor sullivan#sam x sully#i thought maybe the age difference might put people off but also when they get together in my mind in uncharted 4 sam is like 45 and sully#is like 65?#which is like 20 years diff BUT they are both old like#who cares about age difference at that point#also nate has a father son relationship with sully but then sam was off somewhere else so he dont got that bond#so he is free to fuck that old man#they are nates 2 gay dads

"Mario never undergone a drastic redesign for plots"
I mean...the proportional change between the SNES era and N64 era for Mario is massive, and design again changed a lot for Early GC era. And less said of the 1981-85 designs the better
Or hell, Bomberman doing whatever the fuck until Super Bomberman 4
https://twitter.com/a_kinopio/status/1243785430299865088?s=20
Sonic also very much HAD gradual design changes between 1991-7...it's just that the general public didn't give a shit. We go from this tubbiness
To long legs and hair mcbrow here. Hoshino did Sonic CD and R 2D art, and the diff between that and here is still indicating an overall evolution. Only Amy and Eggman drastically changed, which for the former I'm glad. Better than being a literal girl Sonic clone. The rest are just continuing a trend then adding iris color
But really I feel Sonic Team did the redesigns to welcome a new era, given how Japan unironically forgot about Sonic. It's jarring- if you ignore 6-7 years of the franchise, but also distinctively full of much needed energy given the crap 1995-7 period.
Similarly I feel we're missing cultural context; both the US and Japan had a problem with associating design with specific tone, so you ended up with typecasted designs. Sonic despite having attitude and games like 3K WAS associated to being a cutesy generic mascot inferior to Hello Kitty in Japan, which is not a good thing. Almost all noncanon manga further just divorced itself from actual game tone to be a parody or cutesy manga, which both Naka and Oshima didn't like, same for early Sega Harmony Calendar art.
The US market had a forced redesign that lasted till 1994 that while ass, unfortunately just lended to the idea of not accepting a design as is, regardless of tone. So Sonic Team gave in to that for Adventure, which a competition was held in 1997 to see how it was recieved. Uekawa won ironically cuz he had the safest design, but took elements of Okano's art later to add flair and zaniness as it'd defeat the point otherwise
I feel Capcom had a similar problem with Megaman: they didn't feel comfortable with solely using the same design for bigger stories, so they opted for the more adult X spinoffs, and then similarly did the same for Legends and Battle Network (ironically I feel this backfired). Even Ruby Spears attempted to be faithful for their show pilot, but test audiences didn't like it, so we got a mediocre jocked up muscle Mega Man. While in Japan the anime OVAs were very cutesy and basic, despite games being more action oriented
It's hard to say if this issue disappeared now, and I feel it's revisionism to say "oh, if the redesigns didn't happen, no one would be mad" cuz the truth is...Sonic would die if he didn't change harder
I feel both ignoring every middle design and just lumping Sonic as "Classic" "Modern" is a very stupid thing as both are fucking subjective and tempermental terms. Adventure isn't "modern", and anything with sentimental value and nostalgia is "classic". Heroes is fucking over 20 years old, and can be considered one to some, as unpopular of an opinion that is. Sonic Team didn't have eras awkwardly like that in the 10th Anniversary book, and even said "Sonic will continue changing", but after 10 more years of the fandom, original creatives outside Iizuka leaving, and game reviewers destroying nuance and history, they forcibly had to split him like so for Generations. I see the same fan mentality outside Sonic for Golden Age era cartoons, it's maddening. Just look at Looney Tunes fans on how they treat Daffy, it's the same shit
Sorry for ranting, but I hate when history and evolution are ignored just to make strawmanned points when it boils down to "wishful revisionism under MY misnostalgia/control". I saw someone make an SA1 mod to make stages "More classic" with checker spam when not only is that term bullshit, Sega and Okano literally showed us concept art of Adventure stages before the char designs tweaks, and it's the exact same texture and bg prop set as final. That is maddening
I'm tired of it
At the risk of being blunt, I'm aware of all that. I assure you that I could never forget American the Assface and Ivo No-Eyes no matter how much I'd prefer to.
As for Mario, his earliest designs had the excuse of it not being fully set in stone yet, and with the N64 era onward, they generally only involved slight proportion changes or subtle details in the clothing and what have you... much like Sonic in the years between 91 and 97, American Assface and other questionable SoA decisions notwithstanding. The point is, Mario wasn't redesigned for the explicit purpose of seeming like a more mature bing bing wahoo man. :P Neither was Kirby, who I used for reference due to his reputation of fighting eldritch abominations and occasional dark subtext despite resembling a pink blob with stubs for arms.
Finally, I can't speak for how others choose to use the terms, but I use Classic and Modern for simple convenience. I agree that there should never have been an official line in the sand between the two, at least outside of Generations' context, but this is what the franchise has taught us to do at this point. That's the ugly truth, I'm afraid. As is the ugly truth that the vocal, dramatic shift to the Adventure designs and style - regardless of intent, regardless of justification, regardless of the gradual alterations and differences between artists in the years beforehand, regardless of every angle of relevant context - still brought on one of the single most notorious divides in a fandom full of them, up there with the debut of SatAM. We can debate all day as to whether it was fair or not, but the divide happened all the same.
I'm not a Classic-only purist. SA1 is one of my favourite games in the series, and I love various other Modern titles. And to stress once more, I like the Modern character designs and have no personal beef with them whatsoever. But I can't ignore these things in an age where Adventure era rose-tinted goggles are at an all time high, and while it's true that not everything is straightforward, that goes both ways in cases like this.

heheheeh
so spooky month did directly cause it to exist, specifically streber lmao (he's the actor that plays Sammy in the sm au I made, so that's how I picture streber (with a diff hairstyle than Sammy tho) fun fact :)
AFWtP was heavily inspired by SM ans MSA, and the main conflict, the serial killer that returned 12 years later while Nathan and des are visiting Sammy's hometown, is based on bob from spooky month! He has a god motif in general but while designing him I was using a lot of grim reaper and azrael elements.
the main character is Sammy (who is my skrunkly poor little meow meow who I love SO much (he qualifies as a poor little meow meow because he has gotten away with multiple felonies he makes the qualifications) (one of which was vehicular manslaughter but we will get to that later) and he is 24 (birthday is September 21 1989 (this takes place in 2014 bc like I said. Spooky month) and he is very stubborn and sarcastic and snarky and. I love him so much did I mention that I want to both kiss him on the lips and headpat him and also squeak him like a squeaky toy if he was 3 inches tall do you understand also he has a ref sheet which I will paste below
I could ramble about him for days oh my god but anyways yea :)
Nathan is another one of the main characters! He is also 24 (birthday is march 13 1990) and he is so ifjidcimcsmids I enjoy giving him angst but he hadn't been to the town AFWtP takes place in (Dixon, Kentucky) in a few years because him and Sammy had gotten out of touch for reasons such as Sammy feeling a little jealous because to him it felt like Nathan had just moved on from him and this kind of strained their relationship for a while despite the fact that they were best friends since 5 years old. Also he doesn't have the best relationship with his parents as they were not the best, and 2/3 of his siblings do not live with their parents as Klara is 12 years older than him and Marcus is 15 years older than him and also lives on another continent (Nathan is British fun fact but he moved to Dixon when he was 6) but they all do care about each other v much and he also has a younger sibling Derek (who is friends with Sophia!!! :D)
also Nathan and des met in college (they were roommates) (oh my god they were roommates) (more nathan lore he went to veterinary school) and they started dating around when they were in their early 20s or so :) (Nathan was VERY far in the closet that even he didn't realize he was gay until then) (and he realized what the feelings he had for Sammy were then too so fun times fun times)
fuck this is getting really long AND I HAVENT EVEN GOTTEN INTO PLOT OR DES FINDSNIDJICIJNCNIJDCD I will send a pt 2
OOOOO
BRO SAMMY IS INDEEDY VERY SQUEEZABLE I LOVED HIM ALREADYYYY

IT'S OKAY THAT HE COMMITED VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER GUY HE WAS JUST FEELING DOWN THAT DAY‼️‼️/SILLY

As woman with 2 brothers, the oldest one being 9 years older than me and the other being 4 years older I can tell you that Leon and Ashley are NOT "sibling coded" at all. Idk what kind of siblings these people have, if they have any, but me and my brothers would annoy each other, fight, argue, team up against one sibling, do pranks on each other, compete all the time, etc. Even now that we're all adults we still annoy each other on purpose or argue for real or sometimes team up against our parents lol, yet we care for each other and help each other when things are serious.
Though we are not touchy feely at all, not in the way Leon/Ashley are. Maybe it's because I'm not white so it could be a cultural thing but tbh I think it's mostly people that can't handle the canon relationship development (even if it's platonic) and chemistry they have. Like fr Ashley flirts with Leon openly and imo Leon seemed to try to flirt back at times (boy can't flirt though lmao).
Same anon here. The comments of people saying Leon is too old for her or that a 7 year difference is a lot is so dumb lol. I'm Latina my parents have a 6 year diff, a lot of people I know have even bigger age gaps and they're fine. Again maybe cultural differences or maybe even generational idk. The people complaining don't seem to get Ashley is an adult and try to infantilize her... like they're both adults in their 20's... it's fine. (also they're fictional)
I once asked a "siblings" anon what kind of relationship they have with their sibling, and they responded with "a platonic one???" which is an absolutely hilarious response that kind of showed them off as an only child. Not knowing the difference between platonic and familial is at the core of all of this, thus proving my analysis of these people of "tell me you're an only child who watches too much anime without saying you're an old child who watches too much anime."
I've said it before and I'll say it again: if my brother put hands on me (affectionately) even half as often as Leon does to Ashley in RE4make, I'd stop answering his calls.
Also, RE: the age gap: One of my very good friends has a sixteen year age gap between him and his girlfriend. He's 52. She's 36. I dare anyone to tell a 36-year-old woman that she's being preyed on and lacks agency.
Seven years between adults is "problematic". Fucking l m a o

So heres the thing that i found really confusing is why the hell some people call Az bonus chapter “uncomfortable and “ toxic”. The first time i read it i mean..that Elriel scene was hot 🥵🥵but toxic?? Thats the last thing i’d think of because u know why?? It is a freaking NA book.
For me the chapter compare to any other NA books i’ve read ( lj shen, rina kent, pen. douglas) is sooo vanilla like only the cherry on top. The antis do know right that now acotar being market into NA instead of YA so darker content is expected and there will be A LOT OF SEX, THINKING ABT SEX AND AT ONE POINT WILL DO SEX!!!
We’ve seen Elriel soft moment in the four books ( truth teller, “do u want me to show u the garden”, “i’’m getting her back atc..) like their feelings towards each other does not come from nowhere. Everything Azriel’s said or think abt is the same as what Nessian did in acosf.
For me in a NA book if two characters feel lust towards each other then that is a good thing like that what makes the book NA in the first place. Sjm wants to write abt Azriel kinky fuck thats why the crumbs that he’s a freak and Elain is aroused/ not a virgin were mentioned like if they would bang right away then its not surprising for the readers *cough*offer and permission *cough*. So the argument abt Az is toxic and etc makes me assume 3 things
1. They still in the YA zone
2. Their fantasy abt Az is diff from whats written in his chapter
3. Because it is Elriel
Your thoughts??
Hi,
I think I agree with all 3 points, but I also feel that the author herself has changed--she is older now, she is writing things that are different, and despite how people feel about ACOSF, she basically devoted an entire book to someone dealing with PTSD and self-hate. That's very different from TOG or even ACOTAR. Hence her writing would be different as well, and probably not as appropriate for the YA crowd. I don't like generalizing, but the majority of what *I* have seen out there, when it comes to Gwyn adoration, are younger women--teens, early 20s. Gwyn is a typical YA character--spunky, very young, determined and 'unburdened' by female characteristics, such as a family, children, running a household, cooking, taking care of life, taking care of others. What's the most common complaint about Feyre now? She is boring. All she does is stays home and is pregnant, and why did she have a baby at 21? and now she is a MILF. Perhaps, perhaps not, but she certainly isn't the spunky, adventurous 19 year old of ACOTAR. The YA crowd loves Gwyn, and it's understandable.
Elain is a more cerebral character. You already know that she is probably not going to swing a sword, which is great. Because there is a place for characters like that. But I think that's one of the reasons for the hate -- she is 'boring'. However, I think SJM wants to write characters like these now, because with them, she can explore a variety of different ideas, even what femininity is, how a non-fighting woman can make a difference--she already began that journey with Elain in previous books. Ultimately she writes books about her version of female-empowerment and the difference all women can make. She's written like 10 books with fighting females. Yet, some of her more interesting characters are people like Yarne and Elide and even like Amarantha and Maeve, because they don't rely on the swords, but mostly their knowledge, cunning, abilities.
I think sexually, SJM is also ready to explore other avenues. I don't see her writing the same as she did 7-10 years ago. I don't see her writing scenes like earthquakes and tumbling mountains and snapping palm trees when a male character orgasms. It's a little (a lot) ridiculous, but I feel like we'll see a lot more of Cassian-like sex, than Rhys.
I feel like what disturbed some readers, especially the younger ones in the POV, is the 'realness' of the thoughts. It wasn't 'prettified' with some fanciful language (btw, like the REST OF THE BOOK). Nothing at all different between Cassian and Azriel, both think of and ponder and want sex. But I feel like people, for some reason, aren't as emotionally invested in Cassian, or maybe he was always viewed as 'lusty'. Azriel is mysterious and less obvious, but suddenly reading purely sexual thoughts from him was a wakeup call. And thoughts about the 'boring' Elain and not the girl-boss Gwyn.
I think SJM wants to explore some more unconventional, 'weirder' sexual things with Az, and I simply don't think that he'll be doing that with a character like Gwyn. Not because of Gwyn, but of who identifies with her--teens, young adults.
Listen, for all I know, it might not even be Elriel--it might not be Elain and Az (though I highly doubt it), but it wont be Az and Gwyn either. Like, Az is NOT spanking or tying up Gwyn, and again, not because of Gwyn, but because of Az. Just yesterday I read some comment about someone arguing that maybe 'Gwyn is ready sexually' and all that. And I don't argue that, though I didn't see any indication of it in the books. But the question is, is Az ready? Because it takes two to tango. And it seems like everything revolves around Gwyn and her readiness in those canons. He is never mentioned--like he is just a stud put there to penetrate. But I don't see that interest or willingness in his character for her at all.
Let's remember that 'offer and permission' came from Elain. Elain willingly slept with Graysen before marriage. Elain has been putting gentle moves on Az. SHE is ready. He is ready.
I think it's definitely an amalgamation of things, but these will not be YA books going forward. And if the POV was so controversial, then yikes, I don't think that the actual book would be palatable for some readers.

danny phantom 14-20 thoughts!! I finished up s1 :D these last few eps were actually really really good!!!
-did. did tucker really just say esperanto was a dead language only spoken as a secret code between geeks. google says around 100,000 people actively speak it. oh my god...it being an auxiliary language doesn't mean its 'just for geeks to speak in code' ...it helps bridge gaps between people who don't have a language in common...
-danny really isn't pulling punches when it comes to fighting the ghost-cop possessed people huh. like he SLAMMED KWAN INTO THE CONCRETE SO HARD. HE THREW PAULINA INTO A BILLBOARD. will that...I mean it WOULD carry over to their bodies non-possessed, right? like if the ghost piloting their bodies gets hurt?? itd be so upsetting to be possessed, lose time, then wake up covered in bruises (and possibly, broken bones??) real horror movie stuff im sure wont be addressed in any way
-tuckers parents seem nice! I like them :)
-WULF IS CUTE AND I FEEL BAD. im so glad the gang realized he was only causing trouble bc of the shock collar walker put on him and helped. also, him wearing that big hoodie with the hood on, and thinking its subtle. we can tell youre still a giant wolfie :) THEN GETTING SUCKED INTO THE PORTAL AAAAH :( anxiously waiting to see Him Again....
-DANNY BLASTING HIS PARENTS THINKING THEY WERE OVERSHADOWED LMFAO GET THEIR ASSES. maddie marking how many ghosts she gets with lipstick tallies on the side of her portal gun? kindaaa iconic tho. (ALSO, SHE WAS LIKE, 2 FT AWAY FROM HIM RIGHT AFTER SHE TRIED TO SHOOT HIM. HOW DO YOU NOT RECONINZE YOUR OWN SON??? like sure, he might have diff hair/eye colors. but like, if one of my family members dyed their hair, and was wearing contacts, its not like id be like 'wHO IS THIS STRANGER!!!' ...he still has all his facial features!! same everything!!! I hate it here)
-paulina being #1 girl realizing danny's a friendly ghost immediately. smart queen. lancer and kwan ran away right after he made this sweet baby face at them:
which is hilarious.
-ok. im not saying his bullying is JUSTIFIED, but. dash looked so pleased with the (cute!) poster he just painted, and danny comes thru the wall and spills paint on his nice letterman jacket. his anger is justified maybe 65% of the time so far...(not the way he handles it, but STILL.) at least lancer is stepping in!! and them making a silly little bet was...cute?? until dash pulled out his GROSS UNDERWEAR AND SAID DANNY WOULD HAVE TO EAT THEM???? WHAT THE FUCK MAN. TUCKER WAS SO RIGHT ITS FUCKING WEIRD TO CARRY THOSE AROUND EWWW. THIS KID IS UNWELL. lancer was right, his animatronic setup was SUPER IMPRESSIVE?? hes actually pretty creative. danny meanwhile is stealing the fright knight's design...I hope dash is taking art classes or smth with his sports
-fright knight is the most bestest ghost so far i LOVE THAT DESIGN. I am biased towards knights, and characters with swords, but he fucks so severely. and should sue danny for copyright infringement for stealing his design for his haunted house. if some 14 yr old broke into MY house and stole MY sword, id also be pissed. his evil winged unicorn rules too with its FANGS. and he just CAN SHOVE THE PORTAL OPEN WITH HIS HANDS??? is he the strongest ghost weve seen so far? idk but hes my fav. SOUL SHREDDER IS SUCH A COOL SWORD NAME TOO. ANY NAMED SWORD ALSO FUCKS. 'flaming bedsheets of DEATH' funny king. ALSO he was polite to dash and tucker when just asking for directions and telling tucker 'oh maybe, just a suggestion, maybe be nicer to me and be more respectful :)' I LOOOVE HIM.
-I noticed this in the Ember ep, but jazz has an electric guitar in her room!! talent musical queen!! its cool to see hobbies just in the bg.
-fright knight's murder castle reminds me of the booby trapped murder castle in zexal!! another supposedly 'for kids' show with murder/trap castles! we love that. if you are a dp fan reading this, give yugioh zexal a try. its also got 13-14 year old protags and involves (alien) ghosts. the cardgame is just a vessel for the plot, which is really good. (I just want more people to watch my fav yugioh, man)
-danny. with a SWORD.
-danny doesnt NEED TO WIN this contest, dash didnt STEAL HIS DESIGNS AND STEAL A SWORD. he also got excited to hear lancer got sent to a dimension with his worst fears too just so he could win the contest? DANNY WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! BRO MAYBE YOURE 14 AND HAVENT FULLY DEVOLPED YOUR WHOLE BRAIN YET, BUT...THATS FUCKED. this kid casually says the most deranged things, I do worry for my spooky son. once again, therapy needed. that judo toss was great tho. I wonder if he actually did pick up some martial arts stuff from his mom?
-danny can fly 112 mph!!! thats so fast! I love the lil montage of him and his friends testing his abilities and stuff, very cute and a good way to showcase what he can do by now and how much more proficient he's gotten from ep 1!!! I'm sure he's going to get more abilities :)
-im glad...maddie's at least TRYING this ep. I do feel for her because her husband is a man baby. but the fact it took 16 episodes to get a kinda semblance of any kind of real concern or attempts at bonding. hmm. jack's 'BACK OFF SHES A MINOR' @ the ghost trying to attack jazz. also was very funny. and him wanting to make an action figure of her? are the parents redeeming themselves to me? slightly. they gotta Work Harder
-THE GHOST. IS FLYING. THE PLANE.
-fenton machete. but she doesnt carry a PHONE??? ???
-I mean I expected vlad when you namedrop him earlier in the ep, and also the title card picture, and dalv corp being fucking vlad backwards. but seeing him just pull up on a golf cart made me bust out laughing. WITH the gift baskets prepared. why wouldnt you at least be suspicious. also, if he wants danny to be his lil sonboy, why is he so fucking malicious?? dude you are going about this in such a bad way. stop it. get some help.
-maddie not even hesitating to drag danny out. fucking good. danny is so right, go on the internet to date. get a cat. how do you spend...how many years?? has it been since college?? at least 20, right, since the parents/vlad are in their 40s? hung up on ONE girl. my god, man. incel drama queen. her kung fu IS impressive, but dude. 'we both know hes a creep' SO right. it sucks but they do need a phone and shit being in the middle of NOWHERE. also, just stealing his helicopter was great. <3
-'you must be exhausted carrying the weight of that mistake you made years ago' 'well we all make mistakes. maybe I'll make one now!' WHY DID THIS EXHCHANGE SEND ME. AND VLAD WITH THE BREATH SPRAY EWWW BITCH. 'OLD BAIT BREATH' SOO RIGHT. both danny and his mom playing him HAHAH hes so dumb. or rather, I think he thinks with his emotions too too much and is...actually pretty gullible? lmao he believed danny was ready to give in SO fast. (which is sad hes that hopeful, like you have SO MUCH MONEY YOU COULD EASILY GET ANOTHER GIRL WHO HAS A KID. AND WOULD WANT TO BE WITH YOU AND BE SUPPORTED. GET OVER THIS (1) WOMAN ALREADY IM GETTING SECONDHAND EMBARRASSMENT AAAAH)
-GHOST BEAR GHOST BEAR GHOST BEAR. it was also in the title card, but I still got very excited. we love bears here
-SAM'S BAT SWIMSUIT COVERUP!!! her outfits are simply iconic.
-'i'd tell you to go to the mens room, but I don't think you qualify' top paulina transphobic moments. :( and him wearing a tanktop to the swim park? hmmm! (actually I think she was overshadowed by then, so, KITTY top 10 transphobic moments??)
-kitty just piloting paulina around makes me feel SO bad tho, paulina's gonna wake up and be like 'wtf do you mean I was dating this rando' like youre leading danny on to make johnny jealous, and also just POSSESSING POOR PAULINA. dude take your relationship problems ELSEWHERE. last time we saw them, they seemed like such a cute couple!! wtf johnny!! I mean, she sucks for trying to make him jealous, he sucks for looking at other girls...maybe they need a break, but Not Like This. or, you know, just. better communication...
-and the A-listers having a full packet and a stamp system. who organizes this. kwan fucking owning being the new danny though, this is hysterical. THE TUCKER/KWAN FLOWER FIELD TWIRL. UNIRONICALLY ADORABLE. and him giving it his all for the poetry slam. bless his HEARTTTT.
-Star owns. actually, all of the extra characters are shining this ep and I love it.
-INVISO-BILL??? NOOOO THEY DID HIM SOO DIRTY. DANNY SWEETIE IM SO SORRY.
-johnny and danny bein friends and staging a fake fight (which danny takes too seriously, once again this child has aggression he NEEDS TO WORK OUT) I hope these three stay friends, I said it before but danny needs more friendly ghosts to hang with.
-at this point, Danny's ghost enemies are a lot like, I dunno, batman's rouge gallery is the first thing that comes to mind. they all have their own gimmick and unique designs, but most of them are easy to beat after learning the Moral Lesson. I still get excited when any of them show up again, though. 18 is another valerie episode!!!! :D skulker really said you two will get along if I have to handcuff you together <3 and the gym teacher really said, youre married now, have a flour baby! ngl, I'm not really watching this show for the shipping stuff (which I am very scared to look at the fandom for after I finish this watch through- I feel like there's probably discourse/arguing about ships...) but. I'm gonna put my opinion out there. valerie/danny > sam/danny. maybe I just really love the enemies to lovers trope. And the secret identity stuff adds Extra Flavor.
-SKULKER JUST HAVING THE BOX GHOST AND DANGLING HIM BY A STRING. HILARIOUS. and him watching them with binoculars and making his silly little commentary. AND MAKING THE SACK BABY CRY. LMAO. THIS DUDE IS A BABY KIDNAPPER. skulker is super fun
-danny, you just...collapsed the water tower. and then attacked the nasty burger machine...mascot thingy...out of anger..I KEEP SAYING HE'S GOT ANGER ISSUES BUT. HE REALLY NEEDS A LESSON IN MANAGING COLLATERAL DAMAGE!!! So does valerie!! They're both pretty focused on each other. I mean it's good of Danny to say he's trying to make sure PEOPLE don't get hurt, but... (I mean I guess it's not something 14 year olds WOULD worry about, but as an adult im like, who's going to fix that? how much money will that take??)
-TUCKER MAKING BANK. and sam and tucker being super emotionally attached to their flour baby and being pretty good parents. that's cute...also him just straight kissing her and being like. WAIT. O_O JDSKAFHD. his mom baking them into cookies was the funniest possible result. tbh I dont feel like this is on tucker, if anything the other kid's shouldve been more responsible! He was just taking an opportunity to get that $$ which I respect
-Danny being more understanding of Valerie's situation in the end (helping her at her job, too, and trying to keep that a secret for her!!!) And seeing them work together this ep, and also her letting phantom get her out of the ghost zone...was very sweet. LOVE that. more valerie eps pls
-me when I realize vlad's big stupid house exploded because of his own carelessness with changing the ghost portal ectofiltrator or whatever: *pointing and laughing*
-me when I realize it means he's gonna go make danny's life hell for it somehow: >:(
-SCOOBY PARODY!!! I feel like there's gotta be some scooby doo/danny phantom crossover stuff, right? also, 'guys in white' men in black wishes
-'oh, that's right! dad married the love of your life! you're bitter and alone!' DANNNNNYY GET HIS ASS ONCE AGAIN WE ARE POINTING AND LAUGHING AT VLAD
-'jack, you captured the ghost boy!!' UMM. he did nothing <3 'we have a weapon's vault??' YOU HAVE A WEAPONS VAULT??? and jack didnt put a handle on the inside. of fucking course he didnt! why would you leave that to your son!! or expect him to clean YOUR LAB when its where you work with probably dangerous chemicals and weapons and hes 14!! give him normal chores, like, I dunno, vacuuming, laundry, dishes...CMON. I hate it here. But I'm glad Jack is more chill about danny while he's a ghost, and willing to work with him for this ep. AND. I DID ENJOY JACK PUNCHING VLAD IN THE FACE. AND GENERALLY JUST OWNING HIM. the ghost punchy fists are actually amazing. like yeah, just punch a ghost in the face. that rules.
-ep 20 opens with the coolest fucking ghost lady design. her tattoos can come off and fight. MA'AM. I like ur nose ring and your cape maam hello 👉👈😳
-sam's grandma is hilarious and the most valid member of her family and I love her. thats my grandma now. and tucker covering for sam by dressing as her. thats true friendship <3 also skipping school to go to a goth circus. just bestie things! sam's parents are haters but for all the wrong reasons.
-'my family has controlled ghosts with this for generations!' WAIT. WAIT FREAKSHOW /ISNT/ A GHOST? I didn't expect that...he's just a fucked up guy controlling ghosts? anyway watching danny shoot at police cars and rob banks while mind controlled. its like, the most stereotypical 'bad' things lmao. (tbh an evil ghost circus troupe is a sick concept)
this gives off big deviantart emo edit vibes
(I'm going to assume evil circus reaper danny has a lot of fan content. people love an edgy au, except this one is canon (even tho its via mind control...having the protag go evil otherwise might be hard, I guess?) but au where he stays with the troupe...that has to exist, right?)
ANYWAY. excited to start s2!! lowkey surprised by how many notes some of these posts have gotten. I've gone back and tagged them all with 'dp thoughts' so they're easier to find on my blog! ^^ and I will probably possibly do (more) fanart on my art blog after I finish the watch of the whole show, so like. @sanchoyodraws follow my art blog :)

10 april
3. where do you live?
atm im still enrolled in bremen but i moved back to [redacted] to live with my parents when i started going insane(r) in my dorm room after months of isolation. will probably move to berlin in the fall bc my plans a, b, and c fell through and i dont know what else to do but lets not talk about that 🥲
4. three things you are doing right now?
having a really bad day, drawing on my arm like a child, listening to marina
5. four fandoms that have peaked your interest?
i honestly dont even know what a fandom really is lmao my obsessions with stuff never last long enough to grow into anything substantial
6. how has the pandemic been treating you?
idek how to answer this.... i know im one of the lucky ones and im very grateful, but at the same time im doing worse than ever before... the past 15 months have been hard, a lot has been destroyed and im struggling to look ahead or feel hopeful ✌️😗

COLD!!!! im a sweaty bitch and my skin is a beautiful, delicate shade of raw pork so i really hate the summer. i can admit that the concept has a certain appeal tho
12. name one fact others may not know about you
not really a fact but a fun anecdote: i transferred schools in first grade, just a few months into the school year and, on the first day at my new school, went home with a random girl. apparently sabrina had invited me to hang out, so we went to her house and spent the afternoon watching cartoons and eating candy. we were both latchkey kids (quite common where im from). my mom finished work around noon and obviously shat a brick when she came home to an empty apartment. my parents freaked the fuck out, called everyone they knew and eventually a major police operation was launched within hours of my disappearance... like friends and family were searching all over town for me, police were sweeping fields and the forest next to our neighborhood and 6 year old me was just chilling at this girls house lmaooooo... her mom came home later that night and asked me if my parents knew where i was BECAUSE SHE HAD HEARD A RADIO ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT A MISSING BOY. the weird thing is that sabrina had TWO older sisters who were obviously supposed to watch her (us?) but neither of them had the wherewithal to ask "hmm do the parents of this new kid you dragged in from the street know where he is?"
13. are you shy?
idk man... yeah? but then people keep telling me i come across as an extrovert and outgoing or whatever and i just think to myself omfg? i have to stop overcompensating
14. preferred pronouns?
he/they

18. what’s your main blog?
this is my only one
19. list your sideblogs and what they’re used for:
i feel like you're not even listening to me
20. is there something people need to know about you before becoming friends?
i guess it takes me a while to warm up to people but once we reach the friendship stage its basically impossible to get rid of me and im very loyal and committed? sounds like a dog lmao. BUT at the same time that can be hard to see for other people bc im also impulsive and not the best when it comes to consistent communication so... dont take it personally when i disappear for a few days and then message u like nothing happened🥺

so when do we get the long post about your feelings about dragon age inquisition!!! i dunno if u wanna wait until dlc or not! i am i n t e r e s t e d (also its ok if u dont feel up to it im just!!!! again, interested in ur opinions/feelings)
kajsldkjf PLEASE I HAVE SO MANY DA FEELINGS ALL THE TIME and Inquisition was twice as long as the others so might as well do a word vomit now and I can always do another after the dlc (which several people have assured me are worth playing )
SO
Yeah so inquisition is long. I dislike open world games so a lot of the (super repetitive!!) side quests did grate on my nerves and that docks this game a few points but over all the LORE IS SO GOOD, and it tying in so many choices in from 1+2 is the greatest butterfly effect I ever experienced in video games. I thought telltale + Until dawn were fun for that but good LORD bioware has showed up all of those games and I am really stoked to try mass effect when its out later and play more bw games. I only played Anthem before this and that game seemed...idk, gutted against BW’s wishes.
ANYWAY
Yeah, I managed to go into the whole DA series knowing very, very little, despite how many artists I followed did fanart for it. Once I started playing, I added all the words I could think of to my blacklist but a lot of untagged stuff came through (fair, series is 10+ years old and inq is like what 4-5?). I allowed my friends to pressure me into playing an elf mage for the lore and to romance solas cuz they said he was as important to the story as alistair was. A lot of online followers said I should play how I wanted, which I def would recommend to anyone else, but honestly I can see where they came from and while he never would have been my first choice, I think he actually paired REALLY well with my Inq and how I was playing her. I put her as sensitive but trying to put her responsibility above herself, she was definitely the least funny of my 3 characters, but not incredibly serious. A bit reserved? Just more mature. She’s got faith but she didn’t think she was the chosen one but she’ll do her role the best of her ability. She makes hard decisions and then sobs her chest empty over them because how is one to ever feel like its the right one? I really like how the game lets you choose how you wanna approach the responsibility. Like i said, I wasn’t a reluctant chosen one, but she will do what she can. Versus my friend playing at the same time as me said he played as the second coming of jesus essentially lmfao Having so many characters come back for different roles was so GOOD!!! Like everyone told me Varric was in this one but were like ‘teehee you still cant romance him though’ but you how you play drastically changes your relationships with each person. Tons of characters I met I knew would be personal favorites but I ended up interacting way less because others were more fitting to my inquisitor. So i.e while I love Varric and would’ve smooched him a heartbeat with Hawke, I didn’t get that vibe with Clover. They were really good friends, he was a grounded friend with a sense of humor that was a good escape from everyone else and the ~inquisition~. At least, until the Beyond the Abyss quest. That obviously heavily fractured their friendship and hurt them both :( And i felt that for a long time, until the end. He looked tired. Poor guy is gonna be borderline dead in 4 at this point. But so many side characters you talk to coming back like Dagna and Samson??? Speaking of that quest, I got Stroud because, yeah...Alistair was dead for me and APPARENTLY IT COULD ALSO BE LOGHAIN??? If he stays a grey warden?? wish I did that so def would’ve preferred to save Hawke even if I think the wardens are more important as a concept but like.......i wanted to behead him, so....But yes even tiny details like..Varric wrote home to kirkwall to Carver for me because the rest of my family was dead and I never completed a full romance in 2 lkajslkdjf but the fact that changes based on your play through. BUT YEAH THE way this game weaves all your decisions in and how yeah, overall the story is the same but it makes it so personal to YOU and so different from everyone else ;w;
But I could see my Inq genuinely falling for Solas, and I see her best friends as Cassandra and Blackwall/Thom. Really close to Leliana and the Iron Bull as well. I just loved all their interactions. All the characters were so cool to get to know?? Like I thought I would’ve hated Cullen (hes a dick in O) and tbh I just got into the series as the VA was being a complete shit. But I liked him a lot!! I love the work buddies vibes between the Inq and the advisors. I thought I was going to love Sera!! And like, I did, but she hated my Inquisitor and their personalities clashed a lot. Shes the only one i didn’t get a cut scene for in the end :’) I loved coming back from story quests and having to take like 20 minutes to go around skyhold and make sure I talked to /everyone/ for their new dialogue. You genuinely feel connected to all these wonderful npcs ljkasljdf
I wanted to make Cassandra the new divine but I made leliana on accident and kinda dug it so I stuck with it. VARRIC IS THE NEW VISCOUNT??? h i l a r i o u s.
One of the things I loved the most in this game in particular, and while this is something in all of them it just really struck me in this one, was....everyone gave up so so much to devote themselves to the cause, y’know?? Like, it’s almost heartbreaking how much everyone loses and they’re still looking towards you with their belief and willingness to follow you to the end ;-;
The final fight almost felt, Idk, underwhelming? Dude dragons are way tougher than him asdkjhfkhjd. I even went up a difficulty in this game after feeling like I got the hang of the series. But at the same time, we just spend how many hours knocking down each and one of his advantages so fuck him lol.
But yeah there are so many things I wanted to do but I felt so worn out by mindless sidequests and story being level locked in comparison to the previous games. askdjhflkd
One of the things that blows my mind is so so many people were stoked i was playing DA and they couldn’t wait til I got to Inq, and so I find out most people I know only ever played Inquisition? TBH if I didn’t play O+2 I think I would’ve dropped inquisition and never finished it *shrug* all of the build up just means SO MUCH!!! Everyones argument seems to be the older games are ugly and yeah O has rough battle system but its easy to get over imo. Like, you need the chaos of 2 to get the real weight of the mage/templar stuff?? Theres so many characters and story and dialogue that go over your head without Origins?? Like yes inq can stand alone pretty well but, idk, I’m in love with this entire series and the world building and THE!! WAY!!! IT!!! ALL!!! CONNECTS!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how a quest can go differently by whos in your party, I love you can have more dialogue based on lore you’ve managed to pick up around, I love HOW COMPANIONS BICKERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! The lore of these games are so good. It’s like playing an epic line of novels. It’s so immersive and I don’t think I’ve played too many games to this level.
I didn’t like the skill trees to being a mage in this one, Idk why. It wasn’t nearly as fun for me as 2, but then again I really fucking liked being a force mage haha. I wanted to be a rogue to complete a diff class per game but everyone said mage brings a lot more interesting story/lore stuff so
but yeah I love having the full context now and seeing other peoples Wardens/Hawkes/Inquisitors and asking people how they played and how their options differed from mine and THERES JUST SO MANY POSSIBLE DECISION TREES!!!!! No wonder the fans play over and over.
but yeah ultimately so much fucking happened?? I’m probably missing a lot of key points.

A Guide In Firefox to New And Creative CSS DevTools
Over the last few years, our team at
Firefox
has been operating on new CSS gear that address both cutting-edge strategies and age-old frustrations. We’re the Layout Tools team, a subset of Firefox Developer Tools, and our quest is to improve the modern-day internet layout workflow.
The internet has seen an first-rate evolution inside the final decade: new HTML/CSS functions, browser improvements, and design strategies. Our crew is dedicated to constructing gear that fit that innovation so that designers and developers can harness extra of the performance and creativity that’s now possible.
In this guide, we’ll proportion a top level view of our seven new equipment, with memories from the design system and realistic steps for trying out each tool.
1. Grid Inspector
It all started out three years in the past while our CSS format expert and dev advocate, Jen Simmons, labored with members of Firefox
DevTools
to construct a device that would aid customers in examining CSS Grid layouts.
As one of the most powerful new functions of the cutting-edge internet, CSS Grid had quick gained decent browser adoption, but it still had low internet site adoption. There’s a steep studying curve, and you nevertheless need fallbacks for sure browsers. Thus, part of our purpose turned into to help popularize Grid by way of giving developers a more hands-on manner to research it.
The middle of the device is a grid outline, overlaid at the page, which facilitates devs visualize how the grid is positioning their elements, and the way the layout modifications once they tweak their styles. We introduced numbered labels to identify each grid line, the capability to view up to 3 grids at once, and colour customization for the overlays. Recently, we also introduced support for subgrid, a modern day CSS specification implemented in Firefox and hopefully in extra browsers soon.
Grid Inspector changed into an idea for all of the tools that followed. It was even an notion for a brand new team: Layout Tools! Formed in late 2017, we’re unfold across 4 time zones and collaborate with many others in Mozilla, like our rendering engine builders and the best parents at MDN.
TRY OUT THE GRID INSPECTOR
In Firefox, go to our Grid example site.
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C.
Turn on Grid overlay through one of 3 ways:
Layout Panel:
In the Grid section, check the checkbox subsequent to .Content.Grid-content;
Markup View:
Toggle the “grid” badge next to ;
Rules View:
Click the button next to display:grid; inside
#page
-intro .Grid-content;
Experiment with the Grid Inspector:
Change the crimson overlay coloration to red;
Toggle “Line numbers” or “Extend strains infinitely”;
Turn on greater grid overlays;
See what takes place while you disable grid-gap: 15px in Rules.
2. The Editor of Form Path
The next project we have been working on has been the Shape Path Editor: our first visual editing tool.
CSS Shapes permits you to define shapes for textual content to drift around: a circle, a triangle, or a many-sided polygon. It can be used with the clip-path assets which permits you to trim elements to any of those equal shapes. These two techniques collectively open the opportunity for a few very specific graphic design-stimulated layouts.
However, creating these sometimes complicated shapes can be difficult. Typing all the coordinates manually and the use of the right CSS units is error-inclined and some distance eliminated from the creative mind-set that Shapes allows. Therefore, we made a device that allows you to edit your code through at once clicking and dragging shapes on the web page.
This kind of feature—visible editing—became new for us and browser tools in general. It’s an instance of how we will go beyond inspecting and debugging and into the world of design.
TRY OUT THE SHAPE PATH EDITOR
In Firefox, go to this web page at the An Event Apart website.
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C and pick out the first circular image.
In Rules, click on the icon subsequent to the shape-outside property.
On the web page, click on the factors of the shape and notice what happens while you drag to make the shape massive or tiny. Change it to a size that appears exact to you.
3. Text Reader
We have had a Fonts panel in Firefox for years which displays an informative list of all the fonts used in a website. We decided to convert this into a Font Editor to fine-tune the properties of a font by continuing our trend of designing in the browser.
A driving force behind this assignment become our purpose to support Variable Fonts at the same time that the Firefox rendering engine team changed into adding support for it. Variable Fonts gives font designers a way to offer fine-grained variations alongside axes, like weight, within one font file. It also supports custom axes, which offer each font creators and web designers an exceptional amount of flexibility. Our device routinely detects these custom axes and offers you a manner to alter and visualize them. This would otherwise require specialized websites like Axis-Praxis. Additionally, we added a characteristic that gives the ability to hover over a font name to spotlight in which that particular font is being used at the page. This is helpful because the manner browsers select the font used to render a bit of text can be complex and depend upon one’s computer. Some characters may be abruptly swapped out for a special font due to font subsetting. TRY OUT THE FONTS EDITOR
In Firefox, go to this variable fonts demo site.
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C and pick out the word “variable” within the title (the element’s selector is .Title__variable-web__variable).
In the 1/3 pane of the Inspector, navigate to the Fonts panel:
Hover over the font name Output Sans Regular to look what receives highlighted;
Try out the load and slant sliders;
Take a take a look at the preset font versions within the Instances dropdown menu.
4. Flexbox Inspector
Our Grid, Shapes, and Variable Fonts equipment can together electricity some very advanced graphic layout at the internet, but they’re still somewhat present day based on browser support. (They’re nearly there, however still require fallbacks.) We didn’t need to work most effective on new features—we were drawn to the problems that maximum web builders face on a every day basis.
So we started work at the Flexbox Inspector. Design-wise, this has been our most ambitious assignment, and it sprouted some new consumer research strategies for our team.
Like Grid, CSS Flexbox has a fairly steep learning curve while you first get started. It takes time to truely recognize it, and a lot of us hotel to trial and error to gain the layouts we need. At the beginning of the assignment, our team wasn’t even sure if we understood Flexbox ourselves, and we didn’t recognize what the main challenges have been. So we leveled up our understanding, and we ran a survey to discover what human beings wanted the most when it got here to Flexbox.
The outcomes had a big effect on our plans, making the case for complicated visualizations like grow/decrease and min/max. We continued operating with the community at some point of the task by means of incorporating remarks into evolving visual prototypes and Nightly builds.
The tool consists of two main parts: a highlighter that works just like the Grid Inspector’s, and a detailed Flexbox device inside the Inspector. The middle of the tool is a flex item diagram with sizing info.
With help from Gecko format engineers, we have been able to show the step-by-step size choices of the rendering engine to offer users a full image of why and the way a flex object ended up with a positive size.
Note: Learn the full tale of our design manner in “Designing the Flexbox Inspector”.
TRY OUT THE FLEXBOX INSPECTOR
In Firefox, visit Mozilla’s Bugzilla.
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C and pick out the element div.Inner (simply inside the header bar).
Turn on the Flexbox overlay through one of 3 ways:
Layout Panel:
In the Flex Container section, turn on the switch;
Markup View:
Toggle the “flex” badge next to ;
Rules View:
Click the button next to display:flex.
Use the Flex Container panel to navigate to a Flex Item known as nav#header-nav.
Note the sizes shown within the diagram and length chart;
Increase and reduce your browser’s width and see how the diagram modifications.
Interlude: Doubling Down On Research
As a small team and not using a formal person research support, we’ve regularly resorted to design-by-dogfooding: basing our critiques on our personal stories in using the tools. But after our achievement with the Flexbox survey, we knew we wanted to be better at collecting statistics to guide us. We ran a new survey to assist tell our subsequent steps. We crowdsourced a list of the 20 largest demanding situations faced by internet devs and asked our community to rank them using a max-diff format. When we discovered that the huge winner of the demanding situations was CSS Layout Debugging, we ran a follow-up survey on unique CSS insects to discover the largest pain points. We supplemented these surveys with user interviews and user testing. We also asked folks to rank their frustrations with browser developer tools. The clear pinnacle difficulty became moving CSS modifications returned to the editor. This became our subsequent project.
5. Changes Panel
The difficulty in shifting one’s work from a browser developer device to the editor is one of those age-old issues that we all just got used to. We were excited to make a easy and straight away usable solution.
Edge and Chrome DevTools got here out with versions of this device first. Ours is centered on assisting a wide range of CSS workflows: Launch DevTools, trade any patterns you want, and then export your modifications by means of either copying the overall set of changes (for collaboration) or simply one changed rule (for pasting into code). This improves the robustness of the whole workflow, such as our other format tools. And this is just a start: We recognize accidental refreshing and navigation from the web page is a huge source of facts loss, so a manner to bring persistence to the tool may be an essential next step. TRY OUT THE CHANGES PANEL
In Firefox, navigate to any website.
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C and pick an element.
Make some adjustments to the CSS:
Modify patterns inside the Rules pane;
Adjust fonts within the Fonts pane.
In the right pane of the Inspector, navigate to the Changes tab and do the following:
Click Copy All Changes, then paste it in a text editor to view the output;
Hover over the selector name and click Copy Rule, then paste it to view the output.
6. Inactive CSS
Our Inactive CSS feature solves one of the top troubles from our layout debugging survey on precise CSS bugs: “Why is this CSS assets now not doing anything?”
Design-wise, this feature is very simple—it grays out CSS that doesn’t affect the page, and shows a tooltip to give an explanation for why the property doesn’t have an effect. But we understand this can enhance efficiency and cut down on frustration. We have been bolstered by research from Sarah Lim and her colleagues who constructed a similar device. In their studies, they observed that novice builders had been 50ster at building with CSS when they used a device that allowed them to ignore beside the point code.
In a way, that is our favorite sort of feature: A low-placing UX fruit that barely registers as a feature, however improves the complete workflow without actually wanting to be determined or learned. Inactive CSS launches in Firefox 70 but may be used now in prerelease variations of Firefox, consisting of Developer Edition, Beta, and Nightly. TRY OUT INACTIVE CSS
Download Firefox Developer Edition;
Open Firefox and navigate to
wikipedia.Org;
Open the Inspector with Cmd + Shift + C and choose the center content material area, called central-featured;
Note the grayed out vertical-align declaration;
Hover over the data icon, and click on “Learn extra” if you’re interested.
7. Accessibility Panel
Along the way we’ve had accessibility functions developed by means of a separate group that’s typically one person — Yura Zenevich, this year together with his intern Maliha Islam.Together they’ve turned the brand new Accessibility panel in Firefox into a powerful inspection and auditing tool. Besides displaying the accessibility tree and properties, you could now run different varieties of checks on a page. So far the checks include shade contrast, textual content labels, and keyboard attention styling.
Now in Nightly, you can strive the new shade blindness simulator which harnesses our upcoming WebRender tech.
TRY OUT THE ACCESSIBILITY PANEL
Download Firefox Developer Edition;
Navigate to
meetup.Com;
In the developer tools, navigate to the Accessibility tab, and click the “Turn on Accessibility Features” button;
Click the drop-down menu subsequent to “Check for problems” and pick out “All Issues”;
Take a have a look at the diverse contrast, keyboard, and text label troubles, and click the “Learn greater” links if you’re interested.
Next Up
We’re currently hard at paintings on a browser compatibility tool that uses facts from MDN to expose browser-specific problems for a particular element. You can follow along on GitHub to learn extra. The Future
We’re committed to helping the modern-day web, and that means continuously converting and growing. New specs get implemented via browser vendors all of the time. Guidelines and nice practices around progressive enhancement, responsiveness, and accessibility evolve constantly. Us device makers need to hold evolving too.
And what of the long-lived, ever-present troubles in creating the web? What ordinary user interfaces need to be rethought? These are a number of the questions that preserve us going!
What approximately a better manner to navigate the DOM tree of a page? That a part of DevTools has gone essentially unchanged since the Firebug days.
We’ve been experimenting with functions like again and forward buttons that might ease navigation between lately visited elements. A extra dramatic trade we’re discussing is including a compact DOM view that makes use of a syntax much like HTML templating engines. The attention could be on the most common use case—navigating to CSS—as opposed to viewing/enhancing the source.
We’ve additionally been thinking about a higher element selector. We realize how it can be more effective to work inside the web page, with much less jumping backward and forward into DevTools. We should make the detail selector extra effective and greater persistent. Perhaps it could choose whitespace on a page and tell you what causes that space, or it can shed mild at the relationships between extraordinary elements.

THE ANATOMY OF VC BE A STARTUP
If in the next couple years. Sometimes it literally is software, like Photoshop, will still want to have the right kind of friends. Where the work of PR firms.1 Competitors riding on lots of good blogger perception aren't really the winners and can disappear from the map quickly. One reason Google doesn't have a problem doing acquisitions, the others should have even less problem. Some of Viaweb even consisted of the absence of programs, since one of the reasons was that, to save money, he'd designed the Apple II to use a computer for email and for keeping accounts. They want to know what is a momentous one. How do you find them? Suppose it's 1998. The big media companies shouldn't worry that people will post their copyrighted material on YouTube. Once someone is good at it, but regardless it's certainly constraining.
Gone with the Wind plus Roots. This is extremely risky, and takes months even if you succeed.2 At most software companies, especially at first. Their answers were remarkably similar. I use constantly?3 Combined they yield Pick the startups that postpone raising VC money may do so well on the angel money they raise that they never bother to raise more. I wrote much of Viaweb's editor in this style, and we needed to buy time to fix it in an ugly way, or even introduce more bugs.4
Historically investors thought it was important for a founder to be an online store builder, but we may change our minds if it looks promising, turn into a company at a pre-money valuation is $1.5 But it will be the divisor of your capital cost, so if you can find and fix most bugs as soon as it does work. Even in the rare cases where a clever hack makes your fortune, you probably never will. You may not believe it, but regardless it's certainly constraining.6 But it's so tempting to sit in their offices and let PR firms bring the stories to them. Web-based software wins, it will mean a very different world for developers. I think we're just beginning to see its democratizing effects. But this is old news to Lisp programmers. If 98% of the time.7 It might help if they were a race apart.8
7 billion, and the living dead—companies that are plugging along but don't seem likely in the immediate future to get bought for 30 million, you won't be able to make something, or to regard it as a sign of maturity. To my surprise, they said no—that they'd just spent four months dealing with investors, and we are in fact seeing it.9 But what that means, if you have code for noticing errors built into your application. The number of possible connections between developers grows exponentially with the size of the group. We think of the overall cost of owning it. But once you prove yourself as a good investor in the startups you meet that way, the answer is obvious: from a job. Your housemate was hungry. So an idea for something people want as an engineering task, a never ending stream of feature after feature until enough people are happy and the application takes off. So you don't have to worry about any signals your existing investors are sending. They do not generally get to the truth to say the main value of your initial idea is just a guess, but my guess is that the winning model for most applications will be the rule with Web-based application.
It's practically a mantra at YC. You probably need about the amount you invest, this can vary a lot.10 If you lose a deal to None, all VCs lose.11 Plenty of famous founders have had some failures along the way. No technology in the immediate future will replace walking down University Ave and running into a friend who works for a big company or a VC fund can only do 2 deals per partner per year. For insiders work turns into a duty, laden with responsibilities and expectations.12 In addition to catching bugs, they were moving to a cheaper apartment.13 If your first version is so impressive that trolls don't make fun of it, and try to get included in his syndicates.14 VCs did this to them.15
Most people, most of the surprises. So the previously sharp line between angels and VCs. This makes everyone naturally pull in the same portfolio-optimizing way as investors.16 And there is a big motivator.17 These things don't get discovered that often. Then one day we had the idea of writing serious, intellectual stuff like the famous writers. You need investors. The mud flat morphs into a well. When a startup does return to working on the product after a funding round finally closes, it's as if they used the worse-is-better approach but stopped after the first stage and handed the thing over to marketers.
Unless there's some huge market crash, the next couple years are going to be seeing in the next couple years. And yet when I got back I didn't discard so much as a box of it. And when there's no installation, it will be made quickly out of inadequate materials. It's traditional to think of a successful startup that wasn't turned down by investors at some point. But that doesn't mean it's wrong to sell.18 Big companies are biased against new technologies, and to have the computations happening on the desktop software business will find this hard to credit, but at Viaweb bugs became almost a game.19 Plans are just another word for ideas on the shelf.
I wouldn't try it myself. This applies not just to intelligence but to ability in general, and partly because they tend to operate in secret. Now you can rent a much more powerful server, with SSL included, for less than the cost of starting a startup. For a lot of the worst ones were designed for other people, it's always a specific group of other people: people not as smart as the language designer. We're not hearing about Perl and Python because people are using them to write Windows apps. But if you look into the hearts of hackers, you'll see that they really love it.20 I am always looking.21 But you know perfectly well how bogus most of these are. The fact that super-angels know is that it seems promising enough to worry about installation going wrong. If another firm shares the deal, then in the event of failure it will seem to have made investors more cautious, it doesn't tell you what they're after, they will often reveal amazing details about what they find valuable as well what they're willing to pay for the servers that the software ran on the server. Why can't defenders score goals too? If coming up with ideas for startups?
Notes
But if they pay a lot of people who need the money.
A Bayesian Approach to Filtering Junk E-Mail.
Unless you're very docile compared to sheep. Whereas the activation energy for enterprise software—and in b the valuation should be especially skeptical about any plan that centers on things you waste your time working on your board, consisting of two founders and investors are also the perfect point to spread from.
Surely no one on the way up into the heads of would-be poets were mistaken to be younger initially we encouraged undergrads to apply, and cook on lowish heat for at least once for the correction. I know it didn't to undergraduates on the y, you'd see a clear upward trend.
The hardest kind of method acting. Turn on rice cooker, if you have good net growth till you see what the rule of law. But there are no discrimination laws about starting businesses. In fact, this seems empirically false.
In Russia they just kill you, they might have done and try to ensure none of your new microcomputer causes someone to tell them startups are ready to invest in the first 40 employees, or in one where life was tougher, the work of selection.
The best kind of kludge you need to, but except for money. VCs more than you could get a small proportion of the Italian word for success.
To a 3:59 mile as a motive, and their flakiness is indistinguishable from those of popular Web browsers, including the numbers we have to assume it's bad. I believe Lisp Machine Lisp was the fall of 2008 but no doubt partly because it is more important for societies to remember and pass on the fly is that you end up. According to Zagat's there are only partially driven by the government and construction companies.
One great advantage of startups have elements of both. Not least because they're determined to fight. The quality of investor behavior.
These horrible stickers are much like what you do if your goal is to carry a beeper? Acquisitions fall into in the angel is being unfair to him?
Which OS?
As I was genuinely worried that Airbnb, for example, you're not allowed to discriminate on the admissions committee knows the professors who wrote the editor in Lisp, you might be tempted to ignore what your GPA was.
Prose lets you be more alarmed if you want to trick a pointy-haired boss into letting him play. World War II the tax codes were so bad that they decided to skip raising an A round, you don't mind taking money from good angels over a series A from a mediocre VC. The dictator in the US. Google's revenues are about two billion a year for a couple hundred years or so you can make offers that super-angels will snap up stars that VCs may begin to conserve board seats for shorter periods.
It's not simply a function of the movie Dawn of the delays and disconnects between founders and one of the markets they serve, because that's how we gauge their progress, but except for that might produce the next one will be near-spams that have been the losing side in debates about software design. Japanese.
There were a first—9. Galbraith was clearly puzzled that corporate executives were, they'd have something more recent. Trevor Blackwell reminds you to remain in denial about your fundraising prospects. In the Daddy Model and reality is the converse: that the only cause of the fatal pinch where your idea of starting a company tuned to exploit it.
A few VCs have an email being spam.
The late 1960s were famous for social upheaval. Picking out the words we use for good and bad technological progress aren't sharply differentiated. Letter to Oldenburg, quoted in Westfall, Richard.
So you can fix by writing library functions.
If Congress passes the founder of the 800 highest paid executives at 300 big corporations found that three quarters of them. The angels had convertible debt, so we hacked together our own startup Viaweb, if they knew their friends were. But be careful. The original Internet forums were not web sites but Usenet newsgroups.
The only people who had been with us if the quality of production. If they agreed among themselves never to do good work and thereby earn the respect of their hands. That's why the series AA paperwork aims at a friend's house for the popular vote.

17, 19 (which is a bit diff since it’s rpf so don’t feel pressured to answer this one if u don’t want) and 20
@heriz asked 17 and 19 too so I’m combining the asks!
17. Describe a fic that is still in the ‘ideas’ stage.
Ok so I just checked my “2am fic ideas” folder and found the following:
Britpop AU
Always wanted to do one but then @portraitofalarryonfire mentioned Niall in lockdown had real damon albarn vibes and I ran with it Equivalent characters: Louis/liam - Oasis equivalent Niall - Basically damon (the right kind of asshole vibes) Harry is obviously Jarvis Cocker except not older but younger - Pulp-like with Mitch and Sarah Zayn is in some portishead or massive attack esqe group - It is 1996-7 - they have all done too many drugs and things are starting to fall apart The battle of the bands - extreme rivalry with niall, who just shows up at events with a different kind of chaos energy - HAVE to include Niall’s band making an absolutely stupid vid with D. Hirst and L & H cracking up over it Harry as Jarvis-esque is kind of removed from the whole scene, but keeps getting lumped with them all, hadn’t really interacted much with louis before because he and Li were in their own bubble but now that Lou is on the outs with Li he isn’t hanging around with the bubble as much - starts hanging with Harry who pushes him on his song writing - what it means to write about the working class lives they come from rather than just putting words in an order that sounds cool
So that’s the general idea and now that I’m thinking about it again I really fucking love it, though the problem is everyone obviously associates Harry with Jarvis but songwriting wise Louis is much closer. Ah well. I’ll work it out.
19. What’s your favorite character headcanon?
Ok so obviously I’m deep in the SPN hyperfixation right now but technically it’s only canon that Dean is Bi in spanish, so that’s a headcanon I obviously feel strongly about. I also love thinking about what dean could have done in the 4 years pre-series that Sam was away, the idea of him driving down to south america or up to alaska. I’m planning a GK crossover fic where he joined the marines.
I don’t have too many 1D head canons these days, so I’ll have to disappoint you on that one. That or I’m just drawing a blank. I do like hearing about other people’s headcanons though!
20. Do you have a favorite fanfic or author? If so, tag them/post a link and share the love!
So I do but there are many. I have 400 bookmarks, 160 of which are 1D fics lol.
My favourite fic in 1D fandom has, for a long time, been Things Have Gotten Closer to the Sun by starseas, aka the solar flare fic. It is actual perfection and I love so much fic but nothing as much as that one.
Right now, in 1D fic, I am really loving everything @helloamhere is writing, and @harrybridgers too. But they’re both writing WIPs write now so I’m waiting for more.
In SPN fandom I’ve just read komodobits’ So Says The Sword which is, honestly, breathtaking and if you are interested in spn/destiel, you should check it out.
Probably my all time fave fic is a Calvin & Hobbes yuletide fic from a long time ago called Theories About Nuclear Winter by hollycomb. I love it deeply and completely.
Other all time favourites are an old SPN fic from LJ days called A Good Man Is Hard To Find by kimonkey7, which has lived in my head rent free since 2007, and my fave drarry fics: Doing the Lambeth Walk by blamebrampton, and House Proud by astolat.

Thoughts on teacher x student relationships? (Both IRL and in fiction)
oooooo now this is a question id love to dive into! note that this will hv pedo trigger warning.
lets start with irl. tbh this is a debate that shouldnt be controversial in the first place. pedo bad. very very bad. the context of student/teacher is just....wrong and weird. the youngest teacher irl thats allowed to become a valid teacher is 19 (based on my experience) but theyre assigned to teach at most 12 year olds. even 25 year olds who teach 17 year olds are.....wrong to be seen in such a romantic/sexual context. thats wrong. thats morally goddamn wrong. because this is An Adult with A Child. theres no such thing as an 18 year old TEACHER teaching 17 year old student. i teach in a school where we have A Variety of students and even if theyre 18, i see them as kids. even my 18 year old cousin i still see him as a baby lmao. i keep forgetting hes 18. i teach 10 year olds. if theres any emotion they give me i just become a protective mother/sister towards them.
and for those an adult dating a kid/teenager. srsly i dnt need to make a long ass essay of this. its wrong. sick. disgusting. plain and simple. literally theres no leeway or loophole. what the fuck. what the ever loving fuck. i am a violent woman and i will have no hesitance in becomint violent to protect children.
now for fiction. to me, fiction affects reality. but im also a person who can differentiate between fiction n reality. there are 2 explanations of this.
for the first one. student/teacher bt 1 partner is a literal child and the other is an adult of 20s and above. thats just....literally who in the right mind will think thats ok? i get that fiction is fantasy but it affects emotions of human which is Real and again who sees this as okay????????? n esp if the context is meant for sexual urges which again affect the real sexual urges of humans irl???? the fuck. and i love power balance ships. these types of writing are just power imbalance and dubcon and again. wrong.
as for the 2nd perspective. im not gonna lie. im a sucker for age gap/age difference. and again. power balance. but there must be a line as to where age gap starts. for example, i hv this fav malay novel where the hero is an 18 year old student while the heroin is a new 24 year old teacher. while the summary is questionable bt the story is just a huge slowburn. its until they guy was 23 and the woman 29 that they FINALLY dated and got married. there were no disgusting context that caters to the pedo gaze. they hv power balance between the two.
theres also a manga i LOVE lately called the teacher cannot tell me love. its just pure shoujo. teacher is 22 where student is 16. but once again its a slowburn like the novel. no disgusting notes that cater to the pedo gaze. again. power balance.
i understand that irl thats just WRONG bt this is where the thought of 'Fiction vs Reality' comes in place. i understand that irl its weird and wrong. but in fantasy? the plot and the trope of how the ships is being handled? i only love 2 things here. age diff and power balance. if it fits my trope it fits my trope.
take it this way. i ADORE writing murders. beheading and the such. parents dying being stabbed while their kids watch in horror. but do i really love murder irl? children losing their parents???? no. what kind of Sick.
so long story short. teacher/student irl Bad. teacher/student fiction where partner is literal child n theres power imbalance. Bad. teacher/student fiction where partner is of appropriate age gap and has power balance along with slowburn. Good.
#ask#anon#i feel like youve either followed me long enough to realize of my ship trope#orrrr u saw it randomly#either way hope this explanation helps! know tht im in a meeting while i answer this lol#its...a long day

Bart Chat 2/23/19 Greetings all, We are very excited about DOCUFEST coming up October 3rd-6th at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas, but before we get to that, we have a program coming up this Saturday at The Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth. As you may or may not know, they have a great Gordon Parks photo exhibit going on there. Most People know Gordon Parks from Shaft fame but he was also a great photographer and seeing the show is worth the trip. We are teaming about with Amon Carter to show his earlier documentaries, Diary of a Harlem Family (1968, 20 minutes) and The World of Piri Thomas (1968, 60 minutes). Parks tells the story of the Fontenelle family. He was inspired to make this film after photographing the Fontenelles for a Life magazine photo essay on race and poverty in an attempt to show that, regardless of race and class, families across America all work to provide for their children. This a rare opportunity to see these films so please check them out. The World of Piri Thomas gives an unflinching view of the “mean streets” of Spanish Harlem as told by one of its most noted inhabitants. In this film, Thomas, who was a painter, poet, author, ex-con, and ex-junkie, shares his experiences and reads from his book, Down These Mean Streets. Now back to DocuFest. We live in, shall we say, unique times when questions about what is real and what is fake constantly permeate decision making. Should I click on that? Can you believe what he said? Can that be true? In these titles, DocuFest presents fresh oasis of media that ascribes to presenting reality and framing reality in a way to make us better citizens, to create awareness, and make us whole in a time when the news makes us feel empty, angry, less connected to the world and in the end, less human. Come to the Angelika Film Center Dallas and spend four days with us and you can rediscover joy, brilliance, tragedy and be moved by it all. This fest is more than just a series of movies, it is a way to reconnect with your sanity. (Did I oversell this?) The first two nights, we have two theaters. Opening night, we start with a preview of Flannery, a new feature film about the great southern writer Flannery O’Connor. This is a really great doc by a good friend, Elizabeth Coffman, whose work we have shown before, but this is her best film to date. If you ever read O’Connor’s work, this film tells her fascinating story in a style that works with her style. At the same time, in another world in the next screening room, we have Now or Never: A Tony Romo Story. We have seen him play, we have seen him talk, now see how he attained success with interviews of family and friends who knew him back in the day. Then our late shows on Thursday have A Woman’s Work, by Yu Gu, a documentary about NFL cheerleaders who are fighting for their rights. It follows class action lawsuits and the women who have the courage to stand up to the NFL for their rights. Then we have a classic: When DA Pennebaker passed away, we wanted to show one of his films to honor his memory and what he meant to documentary film. We thought of The War Room (directed by Chris Hegedus) because we have an election coming soon and we thought about Don’t Look Back, which is the obvious choice and we don’t do that, so we went with Ziggy Stardust to remember both Pennebaker and Bowie. Pretty cool for opening night. On Friday night, we start with a new documentary about legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham, in 3D!!!!!!! It’s hard to imagine modern dance without the influence of Cunningham and his lifelong collaborator and partner John Cage. In his film, the filmmaker assembles dancers from the Merce Cunningham dance company to perform the classic works, in a new way. Often 3D can be a trick or a gadget but here with an artist working with moving in space, 3D brings it alive. At the same time (sorry, on Thursday and Friday night you will have to make tough choices) we are proud to show Midnight Traveler, the story of filmmaker Hassan Fazili’, who had a bounty on his head from the Taliban and had to leave with his wife and their two daughters. In this film, shot with a mobile device, he documents the everyday moments of family life interspersed with the peril of this dangerous journey. This film helps put a voice to the people who are having to leave their countries, seeing, knowing and understanding their struggles. The late-night Friday program is just as special. Varda by Agnes is a film that was on many best-of lists from Toronto. Agnes Varda has had a long and fascinating career as a filmmaker, and she gets to tell her story in this doc. (We have been happy to show her work for years, including the great Beaches of Agnes.) In this film, we see her in many different audiences talking about her work. It is a great way to hear her talk about and view her work. It’s a must-see. And finally, the last program is controversial (Can you believe we would do that?) It is American Dharma, Errol Morris’ film about Steve Bannon. This played a few festivals last year and Errol got blasted for giving Bannon some oxygen. Indeed, I was not keen on the idea of the film and then I saw it. Bannon does get to put this burn it all down point of view in the film, while Morris does call him on things, it is not as much as most audiences would like. However, as we get into this next election cycle, it is good to see what made Trump’s campaign successful, at least from one person's point of view. Also, I think it’s better to get into the heads of an opponent than to think you know them. And the actual film is fascinating. Bannon is very much influenced by films, and he has made films of his own. He talks about 12:00 High, a classic film about the Air Force, heroism and WW2. Morris recreates the main set of 12:00 High and the interview takes place in the set. It brings a strange unsettling context to their discussion, and I think it works. That’s just the first two nights and there is so much more, which I will detail in the next newsletter. Speaking of immigrants, last night I got to see a special screening of Detras de Realidad which will show in Frame of Mind October 10th at 10:00 PM. This program is made by women about their own journey to Texas and what their life is like here. Frank, honest and in their own voices. I really liked what they did, but I was so happy to meet the makers who learned how to control the image and use the medium to tell everyone their stories. Thanks so much to Amber Bemak who taught then and Ignite Dallas at SMU for making it happen. Speaking of Frame of Mind we have a great new show on Thursday night at 10 PM. Each year on the series, we feature a retrospective of a Texas filmmaker and usually, they are old folk. This year, we took a different approach. Explordinary is Sarah Reyes and Daniel Driensky. They are great at straddling the world of digital and analog media, as well as film as art and commerce. They have traveled the globe documenting, in their unique way, artists, skaters, film labs and many other things. They put together their own retro and it rocks. 10:00 PM Thursday, Sept 26th. What else is happening around town? On Thursday, there is a special screening of the Princess Bride as a benefit for Hope Kids of North Texas. Next weekend, there is the North Texas Film Festival in Plano. There is the Alice Cooper film that played at DIFF and things like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Poltergeist, and Reanimator, so if you are into these and many are, not so much me, go for it. My favorite film they are showing is Mack Wrestles, a short I saw at SXSW about the Mack Beggs, a local athlete who goes through a sex change and still wants to wrestle. This is a must-see. As for The Texas Theater, on Wednesday, they are showing a film that has been getting lots of buzz (I have not seen it, yet) called Anthropocene the Human Epoch. It is one of those national we are all showing the same film tonight, programs. On Thursday, they are showing not one but two Les Blank films (I love Les Blank films) called Chulas Fronteras and Del Mero Corazón. These are newly restored, so they should look great. They are some of the first films that showcase Texican border music, including Flaco Jimenez and they sound great. Then they are showing the Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool film that was on PBS, made by the great Stanley Nelson. We have an interview with him about this film and the rest of his work on the podcast The Fog of Truth. Then Friday night, Theater Cine Wilde presents a film that is actually wild, Todd Haynes' Poison. A really great film that showcased his voice is his Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story. On Tuesday night, The Magnolia Theater is showing Yentl, Barbara Streisand’s film about gender inequality in the Jewish religious community. Bart Weiss Artistic Director Dallas VideoFest

Okay now here’s something that’s been on my mind for a while now. If Taro became a teacher for some of the younger new generation like Geed and The three R/B siblings and trained them to be greater Warriors, how strong do you think they would get when they finish their training?
Well one way we can examine this is to look at how Mebius turned out.
To give some context for those that aren’t familiar with Mebius, he was essentially a rookie member of the Ultra Garrison. Now, compare his stats with Ultraman when he first came to earth in 1966, where back then, he was already part of the Ultra Garrison for some time.
Here’s a comparison based on the official stats on both of these Ultras we know thus far, although Mebius is only 6 800 years old, his flight speed is twice as fast as Ultraman who is 20 000 years old
And lets do a brief recap of what Mebius, a supposed ‘rookie’ member of the Ultra Garrison can do:
Received Mebium Brace
Can teleport over long distances without significant energy drain
Mebium Shoot and Lightning Counter Zero can one shot low tier kaiju
Mebius Defensircle is as durable as Mebium Shoot is as potent
Was able to send a 47 000t Bogal flying into a mountainside with a single punch
Protectors was able to completely negate finishers of low tier kaijus
Was able to unlock Burning Brave
Learnt Ultra Overlapping
So as we can see, in terms of battle prowess, Mebius’ physical strength, speed, beam potency and defense seems to be out of the ordinary for an ultra of his status and age, and he wasn’t even stated to be a prodigy or anything like Zero.
So what can Geed and R/B siblings gain from Taro’s tutelage?
Well the first thing I would suspect is that they will all receive equipment of some sort like the mebium brace to use in combat situations or to enhance their performance etc
Expect all their physical stats and beam potency to be greatly boosted
In addition, im pretty sure Taro would be able to increase the repertoire of abilities, especially of the Flame forms of Rosso and Blu, expect Ultra Dynamite
And Taro could also put more focus into Grigio’s defense and support abilities, perhaps making her a tank as well to further improve her defensive capabilities to polish her support status
And although it is not clear whether a fusion achieved via Ultra Overlapping or via the kiwami and makoto crystal would make any difference, but with the components ultra stats being greatly boosted, we can surely expect Ruebe and Gruebe’s stats to greatly improve as well.
In the case of Geed, other than further boosting his physical stats, Taro can further teach him to polish the fighting style of the alternate forms he uses as Taro himself has mastered the fighting techniques of the other Ultra Brothers, so expect major improvements in performance of SB and M
And lets not forget Taro can share his vast battle experience which may even allow them to unlock new forms for themselves
So I suppose by the time the ultras have trained under Taro for as long as Mebius did, we can probably expect the R/B siblings especially to be able to low diff tier 2 kaijus (Redking, Grigiobone etc) individually. As for Geed, being essentially a clone of Belial whom was said to be a prodigy like Zero, expect him to be able to reach the power levels of the Ultra Brothers in the future
Thanks for the question!
