i'm currently sick with a cold so I'm here to ask what would be your headcannons for Logan & Virgil if they got sick? How would they react, what would they do for the other? What if BOTH were sick at the same time? (gen curious what you'd picture in this scenario!😊)

first off, i hope u get well soon soldier 🫡 get plenty of rest.

secondly, fantastic question buckle up bc this might be a little long.

if logan is sick:

logan would reassure virgil that he is “completely fine, it’s just a cold. there is no need to worry,” but virgil worries anyways. he doesn’t necessarily try to downplay his symptoms, rather he’s trying to make his sickness not that big of a deal so virgil doesn’t start to think he’s dying.

logan would continue to try and do his work, but virgil would keep pestering him to get some rest after giving him his medicine until he finally gives in.

once logan does give in, he would still protest at first, saying that he feels completely fine and is able to keep working, but doesn’t try to continue his work once he’s back in bed. virgil would stay with him the entire time bc he’s worried his symptoms would get worse.

virgil would definitely try to cuddle with logan until he falls asleep, to which logan does warn him not to do at first bc he doesn’t wanna get virgil sick, but whenever virgil tries to leave to get anything for logan, he makes it EXTREMELY obvious he doesn’t want virgil to leave (without talking or anything, he just tightens his grip and maybe pouts a little). and ofc, without fail, the next day logan is completely fine while virgil is now sick.

if virgil is sick:

virgil would try to downplay his symptoms just so he doesn’t worry logan and possibly burden him with his sickness, while logan reassures virgil that he is Not burdening him by having him take care of him.

virgil would secretly be freaking out and gaslighting himself into thinking that his symptoms are a sign of something Much worse than it actually is. but even though he’s freaking out that he might die from a cold, he’s stubborn about logan trying to help him, saying that he doesn’t wanna interrupt his workflow over something so minor.

logan would absolutely have none of it and would take the day off to tend to virgil’s needs, making sure he gets plenty of food, water, medicine, and rest, despite virgil’s protests.

even when he’s seemingly done everything he can to help virgil get better, he still stays nearby and maybe reads to him to help him fall asleep while virgil is occasionally telling logan that he’s fine and that he can get back to his work.

but while he says that logan should get back to his work, it’s kinda obvious that he does want logan around still to keep him company (‘and totally not because he could be saying his last words soon or something’ dramatic ass). so logan, obviously able to pick up on virgil’s hesitation, stays for the rest of the day and night, making sure he’s well taken care of and comfortable.

if they’re both sick:

when they first realize that they both are sick, they would fuss over each other and grab whatever medicine, water, and food the other needs.

they would both try to take care of each other while insisting the other go and rest, which ultimately leads to both of them just staying in bed and cuddling with each other.

they don’t leave the bed unless it’s to go to the bathroom or get food, which they likely just have delivered to them, to logan’s dismay bc it’s probably just unhealthy takeout, but they don’t have much choice bc neither of them have the energy to cook something healthy for both of them.

they fall asleep watching documentaries and/or listening to podcasts/audiobooks, and they’re usually both fine by the next day, if not, just one of them still feeling their symptoms a bit.

tldr; they’re soft for each other and care a lot about one another :)
