you should explain it instead of mock people that have a right to be upset. explain what the writers are putting down because I'm still not seeing a valid reason why Eddie was completely almost erased from this episode.

I've seen your other ask as well and I'm answering it here.

I did explain it and I wasn't mocking people - and if it came over that way then its because I'm fed up with my inbox filling up with anons being incredibly rude to me (and others in the fandom) - I've had over 40 anon messages since the episode started - most of them either rude or nasty. Everyone has the right to feel how they feel about things, but they don't get to come into mine and other peoples inboxes and mouth off about there unhappiness over something which I've (and others) have interpreted differently to them - they have their own feed they can post it there - just as I do - our inboxes are not here for hatred - I have no issues saying what I think for everyone to ready - using anon for nastiness is not what its there for. They clearly don't think about the mental health of those whose inboxes they go to and that is never ever ok.

I won't turn my anon because I believe in its value - some people are shy about asking questions that they worry about being silly questions and I've made mistakes in things I've posted in the past and I've had lovely people in my inbox on anon explaining to me why I've got something wrong - its allowed me to learn and be better so I will leave anon on, but is it really any surprise that lots of people turn theirs off?

But to get to the question at hand;

For starters Eddie wasn't completely erased from this episode - we saw his reaction to Buck being in a coma - he was full in crying and trying to stop himself breaking down - not once but twice. I'll go into it in my costume meta, but the fact that he only has one outfit for the whole episode (after his turnouts), despite clearly being in the hospital for several days - thats very telling to me - especially coming from a costume background!

The reason we didn't see much Eddie in the real world, or any in the coma verse is because Buck and Eddies relationship is not a familial one - as in they are not brothers, nor are they a parental figure to one another - that was the entire point of the episode - to emphasise the familial relationships and their importance to Buck (and the firefam as a whole more widely). I don't know how to explain that this episode was about family - about fathers and sons and siblings - in a different way!

The show by not including Eddie in Bucks Coma dream was very clearly saying that Eddie doesn't fit into the parameters of those boxes - that Eddie has his own box - one that is very much separate from any one else in the episode and one that Buck is not in a place to open yet. because opening that box means reckoning with romantic feelings and accepting that he's in love with his best friend. Buck needs to do a bit more work on himself before he reaches that point (and Eddie does as well actually).

Hopefully this has helped you understand more of where I'm coming from. Subtext is a very powerful tool in the writers arsenal and they are very deliberate in how they use it.

i don’t want this to come off as an attack whatsoever but i saw your post re: women i marauders fandom and i guess i have some questions. i personally don’t find mary marlene or dorcas interesting whatsoever because they’re literally OCs. none of them have any basis in canon. JKR literally just sucks at writing women, so i don’t understand why to take that out on the fandom and say they aren’t doing enough for the women characters when there just.. aren’t many? the marauders, reg, hell even barty (who i have no interest in reading about, but serves the point nonetheless ig) have a pretty strong presence in canon, which is why people care about them. same with lily. there are far more jily fics than jegulus fics, for example, and tons of fics that explore lily as a character because she has a strong presence in canon. but many people don’t have an interest in reading about what are essentially OCs. do you think they should?

again i don’t want this to come across as combative or anything like that, i ask this in good faith on my end, i’ve just seen sentiments similar to yours crop up around fandom and i really just don’t understand them. thanks!

well they certainly aren't just ocs, they're canon characters that have traits for starters (obv very courageous, loyal, smart, etc). and it's frustrating to see characters like barty and evan (the latter having even less canon information than the girls) be brought into the spotlight instead of them. Alice even had a decent bit of canon information as far the Marauders go and people elect to ignore that she exists. as for lily, i hardly see any content for her thats actually focusing just on her, and usually when i do the creator mainly focuses on the women characters of the fandom in general. there's also the fact that the Marauders themselves aren't even rooted much in canon at this point, so you really can't say that's the case (for most people at least) not liking them. the only info from canon we have on them is that they're animagi, smart, and got into a good bit of trouble. everyone is always fine with expanding their personalities to the point they're barely like their canon selves but when we do it to the women, now they're just ocs???

all in all to me it feels like a lot of sexism, misogyny, and fetishing of mlm characters is going on here, and I could very well be wrong, but it all frustrates me to no end

and don't get me wrong, i completely understand if you simply don't like a character, but when people ignorantly ignore the fact the women characters do in fact exist it irritates me (for reasons previously listed)

yes I agree that jkr is terrible at writing women but if this fandom can rewrite the entire story for literal fucking villains to make them "more relatable" then why cant the same be done with the girls that we don't have detailed backstories for?

to answer your question, if people can do it with the guys, they should do it with the girls. if people accept the versions of the men that are more fanon than anything, then I expect them to be able to do the same with the women as well

Rules

This is a roleplay blog to do rps. This is also my side blog…my main blog I dont use anymore. This is a 18+ blog and that means there are going to be dark, mature, explicit, and some twisted themes here. Below are my rules. If you have problems with them that youd like to discuss we can.

3. Please.... I stress this. If I take the time to write long responses dont write one or two sentences. I tend to write one or more paragraphs it gets irritating when I send long responses then recieve one sentence back or worse one word.. It gets me to the point where I'll loose interest or wont want to answer. I'll let it slide once or twice but not every single response.

4. Please when starting a rp with me let me know what you like and what you dont like, if anything triggers you I'd rather not cause you any harm. I want us to have fun after all. This is not just for me to enjoy, it's for the both of us to enjoy.

Example: Lol, ASAP; I can understand some,but not many of these. The thing here is just dont do it please. Confused writers can cause problems for both sides and that's no fun at all.

8. Dont rush me! I'm not as active as I used to be on here. I have a mother I take care of and things pop up all the time. If i cant answer you or it's been two days I will message you and let you know why.

9. Of course since this is an 18+ blog you need to be 18 or older to rp here.

10. Yes a lot of my rps consist of Smut and NSFW content. I just enjoy them a lot, but that dosent mean thats all I'm into! I love dark themes... I really do. I love to plot and think of anything to do as long as it's fun. Of course they dont have to be dark themes either. I'm up for ideas all you have to do is send me an ask or a message. Or a meme!

HOW I RUN MY BLOG.

SPEED: It varies. If i was inspired and motivated, I’ll reply fast, however, i am but a human being my brain farts and even if i have the motivation, words refuse to come out naturally. I won’t use the ‘English is my second language’ excuse, but at times it is really the case. I can imagine the reply in my head but nope what is proper english structure? haha. But yes, my speed can go from SMASH THAT REPLY FAST to um…give me a week?

REPLIES: I can write short and length replies. However, I highly dislike and can’t write the too-much-literature-flowery-language replies. I cannot process what the character’s action is amidst that fancy writing. However, I do not condemn people for writing it because wow that is a talent to be able to write that, believe me. I try to describe things, especially my muse’s feelings, even if there are not supposed to be visible to the other muse, to get my partner to know what they can work within the next reply, or expect at least. But yeah, can’t do fancy writing;; Also, I do not expect my partner to length their reply to match mine; if you can deliver something to work with in one paragraph that is cool by me. I expect the same because i dont like writing pointless things that do not add up to the thread or the character development.

STARTERS: They are cool. I use them to get inspiration when I cannot focus on the main plotted threads. They are a good way to figure out what sort of new threads i want with that muse and mine, or their relationship. Starters whether one line or paragraph etc are cool because they are just set without planning. Cool stuff can happen when winging things. However, I do value plotting because we, myself and my partner would know what we are working with–no sudden surprises that could potentially ruin the thread. So yeah, i like wining and plotting. I take it seriously for plotting things because i wanna know what you are thinking so we can brainstorm; I cannot brainstorm on my own and you go ‘ok sounds good’ and thats it. please, join the idea one-two pass, alright? I don’t mind people suddenly writing a starter if they had an idea and wanted to just try it, though I highly find it disrespecting and annoying when you are not mutual and just write something to FORCE me to interact with you. Plus, using some tropes that are fan-made not canon wise, or just hyper-focus on one trait in a character which could, in the end, paint my muse in a really wrong way. Just, don’t do that, dudes. Really. There are a lot of things in a one muse, don’t butcher the muse’s personality and boil it down to ONE single trait.

INBOX: Keep them coming. The only thing I have is if I ever sent you something, please, for the love of god, do not just delete it if you cant find an answer. I will be waiting for an answer. It is absolutely not hard to come to me and just “hey, so i cannot think of an answer so can i delete it? or you can try a different meme or send something else? or maybe try a different approach or let’s talk about this so i can think of something and get inspired by our brainstorming” kind of thing. I find it honestly, quite rude. If i send you something, please have the courage and courtesy to tell me it is not going to work for your muse so i can try something else. I will do the same of course and i always have. Be sure i will notify you if i cannot think of something for your ask, and most certainly inquire about a way to get around that block.

SELECTIVITY: I used to be open for all back in the day but with how time constraint it is, i prefer to focus on the people i follow only. My inbox is always open for everyone but for plotting and having any relation to my muse you have to be a mutual. I like giving people chances because i’d want that too from people, however, if i cant see our muses click or i tried to approach by asks or IMs and you went cold i’d assume you are having me as part of the count and just soft block you.

WISHLIST: I am very open to suggestions from others, especially AUs and the such. I would like to explore more sides of chro/m even the game lore itself, work on the parallel worlds concept, maybe figure more about g/rima and their birth; how came they to be, etc. all these good mwah *italian hand* ideas i may or may have not already cried about million of time. let me explore...LET ME EXPLOOOOOOORE.

HONEST NOTE: notes? maybe. ok. if you follow me for a ship, be frank about it. because god only knows how many times this had happened and when it does not work for them, they quickly unfollow me (and at time block me lol) i respect people who are honest. if you wanna a ship, tell me. i will then discuss things with you and see if our muses and us, as muns can communicate well. **update**and happy fall ;) guidelines

im going to reschedule my blog time. i will delete the app from my tablet because it makes me obsessively refresh and feel like its broken in some way. when its not.

ive been only realizing this now but i had close to 1000 subs (even tho most of them inactive or moved or personal blog who followed me once and idk stayed?) and now i  have 800 something. its not the number that bothers me but the fact that these are all those nasty nude girl bot blogs... i really dont care about the number since i myself follow like 30 ppl at most

i checked the last 3 month activity  and in june i had 50 reblogs on threads which is not too shabby in july i had 28 in august i had 5 (granted  i was off for like two weeks) and since the beginning of september i had 9 (i also counted in the inbox replies i did) 

i dont know how anyone is with it but i follow very few people and i even go back to the day before and recognize where my dash was when i went to bed. its compulsive and its bad because i get myself hyped up then i feel shit when i scroll past so many threads that has nothing to do with me. and im not about that. im about the fun and im glad others are having fun. i also remember sending out memes but dont remember to whom and how many. if it was excessive im sorry and if yall dont feel like answering just drop it and delete it.  same goes for threads if you wont feel like something anymore tag me into a thread drop post and the thread and ill just like it and stop waiting on it. 

and this is me saying literally that i have nothing better to do then sit and refresh when i could be (and should be tbh) doing something else. im not being negative about it but i feel like its pointless for me to reblog inbox meme compilations and the like. 

it starts to feel like less as a hobby then a device to torture myself because even over extended period of time i dont get anything. and when i do its unhealthy how hyped i get about it and drop everything i do to reply. 

i think about my ships even though i wait sometimes months for a thread to move forward. i dont lack in ideas and even tried to do just drabbles but i got scared of those even because i think what if the other party will think i interpret their muse in a way they wont portray and drop me completely. (i did get shit for that a long time ago) 

i dont write headcanons even though i think of them often because most of my muses dont even get requested and if by some miracle i get to try them out its literally 3 notes in and never hear from the new partner again. also if i do introduce myself to new blogs i follow and ive stressed this before so many times.... if i get ignored i get pissed. i get pissed if someone follows me then i follow them back and even chat them up and they ignore me unfollow me (without my dumbass noticing because im not about the numbers) and i like their starter call because they are still on my dash and then they spat out a “mutuals only” message i loose my cool. 

i love the people i regularly play with and the reason why im so hesitant to even accept new followers or follow someone when the mood strikes is exactly because im at the end of my rope here. i dont want to hate coming on here because new people ruin my experience and then my friends who actually do bomb threads with me have to deal with my sour ass because others pissed me off. 

 so long story short;

*dont expect me to give you more than 3 weeks waiting time to interact and get something going on if you are new,  * ill come online once a week do all my replies put them into queue and maybe at the most lurk and reblog pictures tagging my partners whos ship it may concern * i wont reblog inbox one liner meme anymore. its pointless and just makes me get upset with myself. (although i will participate in tags if someone tags me) that being said my inbox is open (and empty) and everyone is welcome (yes anon is also welcome) * i wont put out and wont like starter calls. those are the things that break my spirit the most. i dont need a starter to have 3 notes in and never continued.  * i WILL literally drop a thread if i write an extensive reply and get like at the maximum 3 lines of reply. that is the biggest disrespect in my book and im done making exceptions even if we are years long partners. its just rude and you can move your brain a little to write more than a paragraph.  * i WILL block you if you ask for a starter and let it sit after 3 notes in because fuck you thats why.

sorry if you answered something like this before, but do you have any tips for someone who's thinking about getting a bird?

forgive me if i sound harsh at any points im not yelling or being rude im just trying to emphasize points here and there, but i am very serious in taking care of birds and i refuse to give advice that is just positivity because my literal general opinion is to NOT GET A BIRD. Mr Beepy wasnt bought or chosen by me, i was forced into taking him. it was a terrible forced adoption situation and i dont at all support breeding.

I’ve already given my thoughts about getting a bird  (tldr is a huge DO NOT UNLESS YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TAKING CARE OF THEM BECAUSE NO BIRD IS A “STARTER BIRD”)

But if you’re going to refuse to listen and still get one then well there are a ton of things you need to take into consideration.

first off flat out, if you cant afford vet checkups, DO NOT GET A BIRD. SERIOUSLY.

If you can’t keep up with daily routine (ie. you cant do chores every day) then dont get a bird. They are HUGE responsibilities and you pretty much need to clean their cages EVERY DAY so they dont develop illnesses. Even just missing a single day can be super harmful to a bird.

You pretty much have to be a stay-at-home person in order to properly take care of them. Birds need HOURS upon HOURS of social activity per day and getting a bird that youll ignore or be forced to leave for most of the day to only interact with it for a few hours when you come home or feel like it is actually considered mentally abusive to the bird.

You NEED proper bird cages. The ones they sell at pet stores are NOT AT ALL GOOD ENOUGH AND ARE ALWAYS WAY TOO SMALL. A cage for a SINGLE budgie needs to be about the size of what they sell for large parrots… possibly even bigger tbh (with smaller bar spaces so they dont get their heads stuck).

and guess what? that isnt even the best cage out there thats an “ok” cage.

a cage like that will cost you well over $300. so yeah if youre not prepared to buy PROPER supplies for even a budgie, then DO NOT GET A BIRD

you need proper toys for a bird. not mirrors, mirrors are harmful to them. but rather take a look at what i said was a good cage above. you need a HUGE variety of SAFE toys which can be costly and expensive.

you cant use flat dowels for their perches or else theyll develop foot abnormalities from standing on the same surfaces all day. you NEED to buy them safe and non-toxic “mimic branch” perches that mimic how tree branches act.

You have to get rid of all teflon or non-stick frying pans/pots (the fumes from cooking on them will kill a bird and make them very sick). This is expensive and costly.

You have to understand that some air conditioning units have chemicals in them and are toxic to birds so you have to research that shit and potentially buy an entire new unit.

You can’t just buy your bird a bag of seeds and think it’s good enough. They NEED fresh fruits and veggies every day so if you can’t afford fresh fruits and veggies (since I know they can indeed be very expensive), then don’t get a bird.

If you or anyone you live with has ANY form of respiratory issue, do not get a bird. Birds have literal dandruff issues to keep their feathers healthy and streamlined for flight and they will leave dust and dander and down everywhere they go.

If you have literally any other animals (but especially cats and dogs) dont get a bird. The germs that cats and dogs possess can literally kill birds by themselves – especially from saliva.

I could go on and on but as you can probably tell, no bird is truly a starter bird and getting a bird with 100% proper and healthy supplies will cost you a lot of money. Mr Beepy’s now proper set up including toys, a large enough cage, and vet bills were about $1300 total and the cost is still increasing what with annual checkups and food.

so there’s my thoughts on the matter. i suggest if youre able to follow through with all of this, that you then come back to me and ask for tips on getting a bird because really it all depends on whether or not you can adhere to these guidelines.

im sorry but i take animal care extremely seriously and i refuse to give general tips or positivity or advice until i fully know that you are indeed able to at least follow these general guidelines first to give a bird a good home yknow?

Ahh thank you!! And, as someone who isn’t a pre-plotter myself I might not have the answers you’re looking for. However, I can give you the perspective of the people not wanting to plot.

But it could be a couple things, the worst option is that they’re ignoring you, which is rude the least people can do is message saying they’re not interested in plotting. 

I’d also check the groups rules, and that muns intro post. An issue I find myself running into quite a bit that always is an awkward position to be in, is that in my own groups I have a rule against pre-plotting, and I also always put in my intros that I’m for chem not plotting. So it’s awkward  if someone messages to plot and those things have been stated cause you have to find a way to turn it down and not hurt their feelings or make things awkward, I personally always just ask to get a thread going opposed to plotting, but other people may not know what to do and just kinda...try to ignore it. 

Either way, don’t take it to personally, other people not  wanting to plot is not a reflection of your own worth, or how amazing your characters are, it might just be their personal preference not to, or they can’t see any connections right off the bat with your muse. In both cases I do believe they should message you at least saying that, but they might be afraid to offend you by saying no. But honestly, I’m sure your characters are amazing, so don’t let that get to you!!  Instead of messaging again just try replying to their starters, and see what kind of chem picks up naturally, sometimes that’s even better than anything you could have plotted before hand.

Basically my hubby took out insurance about 10 months ago with a new insurance company. He had 4 years no claims with his old company so informed the new company of this. I live in California and I will be 20 years old when I have my baby. I am currently still on my parents health insurance plan and all of my prenatal visits are covered and I believe my hospital stay is also. My boyfriend and I are not married yet and we live together I am not currently working. And I am aware I need to get insurance for my baby from her being born on but does anyone have any suggestions of what company to use? Could I still be approved fr a low income plan?

So Friday morning, my fiance' and I were headed to New Jersey to visit his family for Christmas. On the way there, I was driving his truck so he could sleep a little before we switched places. Early morning when we were in Virginia, I pulled off the highway to go to a McDonalds to get some coffee. When I pulled off, it was a weird exit and I had no clue where I was going. I stopped at a red light, which had another light very close behind it which turned green, my idiot self was looking at that light for some reason while our light was still red...I hit the gas and then slammed on my breaks realizing what I was doing but it was too late and I hit a guy on the side of the door. It wasn't a big wreck. The guy didn't fly across the intersection. He didn't even move, his door was just dented and it will definitely need to be replaced but the man said he was not hurt at all. The truck we were driving in barely had damage, just a little dent in the hood that was very small to the eye and a bent license plate. We were in much better shape; but again, he was not in pain and his door was the only thing that seemed to be damaged. ANYWAYS, I received a traffic ticket for failing to obey a traffic light which I totally accept because this was extremely stupid of me and I am planning on mailing the fine to the court. So since I was driving my fiance's car, which is under his parents insurance, I assume my insurance is not affected. The trooper just told us that the other guy's insurance will contact my fiance's insurance. So I am thinking all I have to do is just pay this awful fine. Well my fiance' called me this morning and said that Statefarm (the other guy's insurance) called him asking for my number. Why would the other guy's insurance need to contact me if my fiance's parent's insurance are the ones who insure the truck? I just want to know what's to come when they call me. I don't know much of anything about insurance. I just want to know why the other guy's insurance would contact me when, yes, I caused the accident but my fiance's father is the insurance holder of the car that was wrecked. Thanks!""

Last year I really got into motorcycles and after riding a couple on back roads, I want to get one this year. I like the look and feel of an older motorcycle. I want to get something from the 80's. So far my most favourite bike I've ridden is a 1979 Honda with a 125 motor I believe. I don't care for speed, I like cruising. I'm more into chrome and chopperish feel. I'm a full time college student and I found that they offer motorcycle driving training there in the summer. Since I'm a student I will get a good discount. On top of that the parking at school for motorcycles is only $20 a month whereas I pay $7 a day for car parking. I live in Ontario, Canada which probably has the highest rates in the country. I currently pay $100/month for secondary. It used to be $150 but since I've proven to be accident free, they brought it down for me.
