Here's something random:
Outside of animatics and speedpaints i want to do fanfiction stories as well or comic book takes.
I love my idea of a dark twisted toon?! A gijinka version of roger rabbit going through a normal education from a high school or college which the character lives a simple wacky life with dreams of being big or atleast an actor.
But i want it graphic take of the movie. With the mystery murders and murders. However, idk how to execute it nice enough that i wouldn't cry about how and it is. And Some what adult.....
I am working that part of myself.
I also want to make a revamped take of how to save a cartoon? This author hasn't written nor update the story at all. For years now and i am really want to see more of it. So if i don't want to wait, i could take the wheel and try driving into a "my version" of the story.
The author is also a spanish writer which i had to translate words to read it
The story basically a repeat of the movie but herman is the villain out of jealously towards the iconic 4 toons from disney and warner bros and want them dead. This takes years after it all happen and years after eddie died. Roger is threaten a 2 road street, 1 give herman the toons or 2 die trying to save them all.
I want to also return to rebirth tudor story too. If i do make it i want to make it into a fun comic. (One day)
(I am listing projects i want to do after my speedpaint ones. Main crew is a simple, i start and you request whatever you want me to do in my style.
I am randomly uploading my romeo romeo and juliet juliet one shot stories.
But i do want to make it into a animatic instead which is easier on telling the story. It is tudor retelling and huge remake of it with disney characters. Aka a tudor au.

A while back I learned about a game that an article said it inspired 999 or was similar to 999 or something like that, named Kamaitachi no Yoru, which was translated to “Banshee’s Last Cry” and released for mobile. And I was like, “cool! I want to try that!” and then found out that it wasn’t possible to play it anymore because it was too old for iOS to let me download it or whatever. So i was sad for a bit and then just moved on.
But then suddenly I was compelled to actually look for a way to play it online and I found it. Anyways, here are some thoughts;
1. I really wish the revamp of the game stayed maybe closer to the original sound novel style instead of remaking it into the contemporary visual novel style. Like, yeah, I’m sure they added some quality of life features that weren’t there back in 1994, but I also feel awkward staring at anime girls and also anime old men. And the silouhettes seem cool.
2. A few things strike me as possibilities for the first murder (Tanaka). First of all, it’s possible that the victim they saw earlier at dinner was not the victim. The characters rightly point out that Tanaka could have been killed earlier than they thought, they just didn’t go the whole way. That he could have been killed earlier, and then the killer impersonated him during dinner and climbed out the window. That potentially accounts for the thudding sound that the protag heard at some point after.
If this is the case (and assuming that this is truly a mystery with no hidden actor) then that would cast something on Mikitoba (or whatever his name is) and the couple that was late. The main reason to do impersonations of victims is to confuse the time of death and give yourself an alibi, and this trick would work best when someone wants the alibi of “I wasn’t even here yet!” If Tanaka is indeed the bank robber, that would also account for the height disparity—the person impersonating him would be a different height, obviously. This also potentially explains why Tanaka was dismembered, as if he was left intact, then it would become clear that the heights didn’t match. However, Mikitoba had a beard, and if I remember right, Tanaka didn’t (I sort of sped through this first round). So unless Mikitoba has a fake beard then it wasn’t likely to be him. Of the couple who arrived late, the husband doesn’t have the right body type and the wife, I don’t think she matches the 5’9” height that the owner cites. (Or many the 5’9” is indeed Tanaka’s actual height and the impersonator’s height is something other than that?)
Anyways I don’t really have thoughts about how the window broke or anything, because I don’t care about that right now.
3. The ending I got for this first run was getting killed by the ski pole (Mari). (By the way there are FORTY-FIVE ENDINGS????? YOU KIDDING ME????) I don’t know how varied the deaths are, if there’s different order of deaths and such depending on what choices you make, but anyways, it strikes me that most of these deaths are probably due to fear or anger as suspicion slowly wears on all these guys. If Mikitoba was Tanaka’s killer, then he honestly might have died naturally from the hit to his head rather than any active murder. I honestly feel like it’s possible he was hit in the head by like. Accidentally knocking into something. Given how low visibility was. Which I guess would be anticlimactic and probably not right, but hey.
The couple that owns the inn likely died because they had the key to the cellar, which is where that husband guy was being held in after being accused as a murderer. Then whoever had the key would go down and kill that guy too. The game really sort of hints heavily as Toshio being that culprit, and then throws a curveball by having him also wind up dead. But if he escaped out the back door to avoid other people, then that would end up explaining why his body shows up at the front door, looking like he was trying to break in. That would mean he died of exposure as he rang the doorbell like an idiot.
Aki and Haruka (or whatever her name was) were killed and their bodies lay next to each other in bed. It wasn’t likely they were killed in their sleep, and instead I guess the killer put them on the bed???? The only real person who had opportunity was Mari for that one, kinda. Which also meant she could have killed the wife as well, who caught her as she was doing the kill and thus had to die too. Though it does make her reaction to the protag killing that other girl sort of weird but then again sometimes things are just weird.
No idea who killed that employee though. I have no thoughts on that.
Anyways I can’t wait to see how wrong I am.

We are seeing some progress in delegations willing to speak out against Israel's participation in Eurovision amidst the ongoing genocide. Keep it up.
Here is the contact page for the EBU itself: https://www.ebu.ch/about/contact-us
And since this is a review for Albania's entry "Zemrën n'dorë" by Besa Kokëdhima, and Albania has not made a statement at this time;
Ms. Kokëdhima's instagram is @divabesa
You can contact Radio Televizioni Shqiptar at [email protected] or [email protected]
Now onto the review:
youtube
As sometimes happens with Albanian entries, I don't think the FiK orchestra was the intended arrangement for the final song, just a requirement for participation. While it sounds right at the end of the song, it feels like it is missing something during the first verse and just completely wrong for the beginning of the second verse. I suspect there will me more electronic elements in the final version of the song (which will also need to be about 30 seconds shorter), that then transition into the bombastic orchestral moment in the final chorus. I think that would compliment the sections of the song the orchestra did not, and would keep the impact of the ending. The style transitions in this song will need extra attention in the revamp process, there is a risk of making it sound like a few different songs that were simply plastered together. If it's done well, however, the ending effect could be really captivating and avoid the risk of being labeled as just another boring ballad.
The lyrics are giving me a hard time in google translate. It seems to be about a chaotic relationship, where the singer is highly emotionally dependent on the object of the song. It's not clear if it is a toxic codependency or if the character of the singer is feeling used by someone who is much less invested. There are several metaphors here that I'm not sure are coming through exactly in the translation, and the musical transitions may be reflecting a trajectory of the relationship over time that is hard to process when you are trying to read along in a different language than the one being sung in. I think this may be one to ride the emotion of the voice and the presentation and not worry too much about what the song is about exactly.
Likewise, I don't think they want to overdo this one in the staging department. Her voice and her body language need to convey the feelings and it will not be useful for a lot of things to be happening in the background. Have some mood lighting that changes to complement the changes in tone, give her some choreography that won't detract from her singing and is able to make the stylistic transitions without being jarring, and get some good camera angles in there. Maybe a pyro shower at the end, since it kinda has that vibe. And then you have a show. The song gives the vibes for a good Sacha-Jean Baptiste project. I for one will not be surprised if she announces that she will be working with Albania again this year.

My handle is from my early Tumblr years (2010) and stems from my made-up "feminized" version of "drawer", as I like to draw (literally translated from the Dutch "tekenares"). And during the time I created my Tumblr, I was a slacky uni student who only thought about partying + anime + memes + fashion and admired the quirky-hipster and boho fashion aesthetics that were in style back then, so I guess that's why I associated myself with a daydreamer.
Years later, I renamed my handle to "SprummerHeart" which is a word play on chillwave band "Summer Heart" and the Spring-Summer transition was my fave time of the year (now I have mixed feelings about this period due to suffering a bit from grass pollen allergies since my late 20s)
When I rediscovered The Sims 2 in 2021 (a.k.a. the crisis that must not be named), I revamped this account to share my TS2 screenshots and keep up with the TS2 CC creators I like. I renamed my handle back to "daydreamingdrawerette" because I got back into drawing and my head was full of TS2 storytelling inspiration. So yeah, having TS2 as hyperfocus kept me sane during an era of uncertainty and limited activites.
But in daily life atm, I'm not a daydreamer most of the time and am actually hypervigilant instead. Thinking out loud, I could change my handle to "hypervigilantsimmerette" or the nickname I use on Sim forums and Discord, but it breaks links and tags on Tumblr 🤔.
📩 Simblr question of the day: What's the story behind your URL?
answer in whatever way is most comfortable for you and feel free to share this SQOTD around, make sure to use the hashtag SQOTD and tag me in separate posts ~ 💛
This question was contributed by an anon ! ~Thank you for the SQOTD contribution~

Primary Survey Analysis Pt.1
As I began to explain on my first primary survey post; I am going to research into the various characters / films ‘ / musicians that my magazine target market currently view as being in the gothic spotlight, to identify if, how and why they are going to be influential in the future of goth.
Wednesday & The Addams Family
The first appearance of Wednesday Addams on our screens was in the 1964 sitcom the Addams family, which followed the lives of a dysfunctional family, their unusual lifestyle and supernatural abilities. Although this was revamped with a new series in 1998 named “The New Addams Family”, the spin off thats really drawing peoples attention is Netflix’s 2022 show “Wednesday” which as you can imagine focuses on Wednesday, daughter of Morticia and Gomez in The Addams Family. The first and only series tells the story of Wednesdays expulsion from her “mainstream” school, forcing her parents to send her to Nevermore Academy, a school for all types of outcasts; where she uncovers the mystery of the monstrous “Hyde” . But why has this show and Wednesdays character gained so much traction? Based on my research on our societies current landscape, I think the polycrisis state we are currently in is causing young people to strive for an outlet to escape, with Wednesdays mysterious, rebellious, lone wolf portrayal acting as the perfect way for youths to express themselves in such confusing times. This is furthered by my primary research in which I asked why people think they associate, Wednesday in this case with goth. Most peoples reasoning was based around her attitude and the way she holds herself, with some mentioning the indisputable theme of black throughout her wardrobe. The combination of peoples association of Wednesday with goth and their allure towards her means traits of hers could begin to present as a trend.
Evidence that Wednesday has become an influential pop culture icon for Gen z is not only proved by my primary research, but also by statistics on applications such as TikTok and Netflix. For example, according to WGSN, the hashtag #WednesdayOutfit on TikTok has 20.8 million views, and includes thousands of videos in which people attempt to style themselves like Wednesday, using items they have available in their wardrobes. Not only this, but the show itself has broken Netflix streaming records, overtaking the fourth series of stranger things with it racking up a whooping 27 million views just 12 days after its release Campione (2023). This demonstrates how known her character is, increasing the likelihood of her long term influence; and this generations longing to mirror her.
Wednesday does exemplify gothic traits such as her taste for the colour black and her uninviting demeanour, but the scene that was most favoured by it’s audience was what she wore at the “raven dance” this amongst the rest of her outfits illustrates a more glamourous goth aesthetic, that encompasses the staple goth attributes such as chunky boots and … but is less rough around the edges.
In conclusion, based on Gen Zs fascination and glorification of Wednesday Addams fashion choices and attitude demonstrated by her popularity and the millions of videos on TikTok imitating her i believe she is going to be a key driver of my gothic trend; with her character informing a portion of gen zs interpretation of future goth. Based on the comparison of Wednesday Addams and a traditional goth, i think this will translate to dark looks that are much cleaner and almost formal, such as the elegant dress Wednesday wore to the dance which took the internet by storm. Something crucial i also noticed was the similarities between Wednesdays fashion and the mourning attire of the victorian era. Not only are the two connected by fashion but the shows typical gothic scenery such as the school is reflective of the scenery in gothic literature as well as the gloomy industrial wasteland of Britain at the time. Therefore i think that Wednesdays added glamour and the victorian periods inherent romanticism with lead to dark but hyper feminine looks, which is furthered evidenced by gen Zs gender awareness that i explored previously. More specifically, i think this will result in a fixation on dresses amongst all genders, and delicate, sheer materials such as organza and lace; with elements seen sported by Wednesday and Victorians.
Monster high, hex girls etC
Combination of nostalgia, looking back to simpler times & trying to escape current societal landscape
Twilight
Still a huge emphasis on peoples association of vampires with goth dating all the way back to the Victorian period and gothic literature

Meaning of Dream about a artwork
Perhaps you had a fantasy of popular craftsmanship?
To be the genuine craftsman in dream is a positive sign that is related with your own imaginative impulses. Furthermore, it is associated with your convictions as well as your imaginative style throughout everyday life. Presently, craftsmanship can incorporate photos, delineations, visual computerization or other non-text based materials which are typically ready for consideration in distributions. On the off chance that you long for craftsmanship, I accept it is related with paying heed throughout everyday life. The implications that I have research consolidate material belongings, achievements or abilities. Now and again individuals have this fantasy to feel better about their lives or that they wish others to see them!
Meaning of Dream about a artwork
In this way, we should move onto particulars! I have explored many dream books and they cover the accompanying: assuming the craftsmanship in your fantasy about is of Local America it implies that you are contemplating things that might end up being troublesome. Attempt to ponder things in a more sure light. To dream of present day workmanship shows that their are things in life that make you pleased with yourself. Try not to attempt to change in your life is the message! Imagine a scenario in which you purchase workmanship in a fantasy. Assuming you dream that you are purchasing a piece of fine art in bygone dream examination it predicts that you like following a characteristic way in your life. Furthermore, it examined that the visionary is great at adhering to guidelines, in this manner, you won't ever come up short! To play out specific errands in life then this is an extraordinary dream to have! It shows you are constantly devoted to your work and this makes you incredible at designating work. You produce results.
Anyway, imagine a scenario in which you sell craftsmanship in your fantasy. A circumstance where you observe that you are selling fine art in your fantasy signifies that you are normally expressive. Consequently, you can communicate your sentiments in the open. You are feeling triumphs throughout everyday life. That's what the positive news is in the event that you have an ability you develop it since it is uncommon. In the event that you imagine that you are imaginative, you ought to attempt to invest some energy delivering workmanship in cognizant existence. Along these lines, get that paint brush out!
Painting an image in a fantasy? At the point when you see yourself laying out an image in your fantasy it shows that you have imaginative capacities. You are attempting to put yourself out there hence you hold an inclination for imagination intentionally. You are by all accounts normally innovative and will generally turn towards additional imaginative strategies for articulating your thoughts. Do you interface with the hearts and psyches of crowds? You may be a mysterious craftsman, yet you are committed to it, which is an ability all alone. It is feasible to make your current circumstance more lovely, and this doesn't expect you to have heaps of cash to accomplish this. Your very own fantasy fine art could suggest that you want to focus on your current circumstance and ensure that you are inventive.
Nitty gritty dream translation: We should go further and more profound into this fantasy! A fantasy where you created your own fine art predicts of progress or a requirement for change. Assuming the variety that you are utilizing to paint is dull (like highly contrasting!) it could imply that you are grieved or annoyed by pessimism or analysis given out by a person or thing in your cognizant existence. On the off chance that you end up painting with splendid varieties, the fantasy is positive. Taking a gander at the instruments for which you use to draw or paint with are significant. A brush implies uplifting news, a pen demonstrates a deferral and a pencil things can be revamped. In outline, painting your own specialty in a fantasy signifies that, you will be satisfied with changes which are going to occur in your life.

Okay, I've been wanting to ask this for a while now, but it was only today that I dug myself out of a non-tf2-induced-creativity rut, so I'm finally returning to my TF2 fanfiction to entirely revamp it. But there is one eeny-teeny lil' thing that has been driving me absolute bananas. THE RESPAWN LORE???? OR LORE IN GENERAL????
How did you decide what to use and what to toss out in 'This is Where We Are Now'??? I'm so confused. How should the respawn even work in my fanfiction? Should there be a respawn at all? Is there any explanation to why the teams are clones?
Please, kindly bestow upon me your creative process and reasoning purplecompromise. 🙏I legit have no clue what to do.
All right--BUCKLE UP, MY FRIEND, WE'RE ABOUT TO WALK THROUGH THE PROCESS, AND IT'S KIND OF A HEFTY ONE.
Number one, I need to remind you and absolutely insist that this is your work of fiction, and it must be whatever you want, first and foremost!
Now, I will tell you how I approached my own fic, and hopefully that will give you some direction to discover just what it is that you want. As a heads-up, I'm going to be skipping the oc development portion since that doesn't sound like something you're looking for, but if you or anybody else is curious, I answered that here for class development and here for characterization a while back.
When I started TiWWaN, I asked myself one big question:
What kind of fic am I trying to write?
While I knew up-front that this was going to be a self-indulgent fic, I knew also that there were some serious themes that interested me which would be integral to the characters and plot. I had read the comics and seen the "Meet the Team" videos long before deciding to write the fic, so I had a good grasp on the available lore and overarching storyline going in. There were many things about the world that I thought were interesting and went either unexplored or simply unexplained, like respawn and the implications of actually dying multiple times a day and coming back to life. All of these things are more suited for a fic with a serious tone.
I decided I wanted a serious story, for sure. Then, I asked:
How would my personal style translate to a canon as zany as TF2?
The answer I came up with was: "uhh not very well." I was afraid I wouldn't be able to imitate the mile-a-minute, fun, humorous, almost nonsensical vibe of the original canon, and, having already decided on a serious story, chose not to try. Instead, I asked another question:
How can I translate TF2 into my own style?
The answer was to contextualize it within its very particular time period--the late 1960s and early 1970s--in a more grounded and realistic fashion than canon tends to provide. I loved that this was the setting for the comics, and it was one of the things I felt was underexplored... that era in USA and World history is WILD, and nearly every character in the main cast, based on their age, was directly affected by WWII only three decades earlier. You can feel that wildness in the general tone of the TF2 world, but the weight of it is only felt in certain scenes (Heavy's backstory with the gulag, for example).
After that, it was all about digging up everything from the canon lore I could alter slightly to fit a style more grounded in actual history and "realism." I put realism in quotes because this is still very much the TF2 universe, and it was important to me to keep that integrity... otherwise, the fic would just be AU, almost unrecognizable from the source material. In TiWWaN, respawn is an integral part of the plot, Australia is still a formidable world power because of Australium, and magic definitely exists a la Merasmus and Demoman. But, at the same time, you'll find serious references to the Vietnam war, Red Scare, and lingering effects of WWII on Medic and Spy. But, ultimately, the bottom line is:
I picked and chose what suited my interests, what fit best with the story I was trying to tell.
I looked at respawn and decided on how it works based on what made sense to me: a little DNA sample, a bit of fudged medicine, some hand-wavy science, a dash of Australium, and probably magic. I put in just enough actual medical/scientific thought while refusing to fully explain the process that it seems passable. And I get away with not fully explaining because the character through whom we're experiencing the story doesn't understand the explanation being given beyond one or two key details.
On the clone front, I did essentially the same thing: for my story, it didn't make sense for the other team to be actual clones. It would just muck up my storytelling, so I did some more handwaving... I decided that the other team is a separate group of individuals with copycat styles and skills who appear to be exactly the same as the home team during matches. And the characters don't know why, so I don't actually have to explain it! I let a couple characters throw out some theories and, more likely than not, readers will latch onto one, or, better yet, have fun coming up with their own!
A nice thing to remember is that your readers are here expecting to suspend disbelief. They'll have fun theorizing with things like respawn or the ubercharge, but at the end of the day:
It doesn't matter how these things work on a "realistic" level aside from how they affect the characters.
Respawn becomes believable because of the way the characters react to it, how they feel, and how they interact where respawn is concerned. The science isn't important. The inner workings aren't important. What's important is your characters and how they are feeling, what they are doing.
So, that means...... it's up to you. It's whatever you want. You don't have to explain the science; you can just have fun. If your style is quick and zany, you can save your focus for the jokes and the chemistry between characters the way canon does. If you're like me and lean toward a more novel-like, serious style, you can focus on how the historical context informs the characters, on the things that might make them complex and varied individuals beyond what we see in canon--and one of those things might be the fact that the other team is comprised of clones, or perhaps the relationship they have to respawn.
Think about the story you want to tell, and then have a nice, long look at canon. Pull the things that will work well for your story. Nudge the ones you think should be changed into a more useable form, or, don't change them at all. It all depends on what you're here to do.
I hope that helps! Please feel free to drop by again if you'd like me to explain something better or if you have other questions.

OKAY im going to preface rant with this- 1) i know none of yall know this game cuz while its popular enough to get a series, its not really popular enough to be part of the general consciousness 2) I've only played the 3rd and 4th installments, so I dont have an extensive knowledge on the series. What I'd want to see in Girls Mode 5 (Aka, style savvy 4, or new style boutique 4) 1) UPDATED TEXTURES. this game has been going on since the DS days, and they just port the old clothes into the new games to pad out the inventory. It's nice because it means you can pretty much move on to the new games with little to no regrets, however the textures on the 3ds XL screen, and emulator (because emulator is the only way to get HD screenshots lol rip) are really really nasty. It's super pixelly but not in a nostalgic way, and it clashes heavily with the newer textures and clothes, making it harder to coordinate outfits. The new game would be coming out on the switch, so the old textures would be even more noticeable when on a TV. You don't need to update the models itself, just the textures on the models. 2) KEEP THE MINI PLOTS. GM 4 has a really cute system with the characters, making it so a handful of them have reoccurring stories and plots! (Not every single one of the characters, because there are tons). I really like this, and it genuinely makes me play day after day. 3) FIX THE DAYS SYSTEM. GM 3 had a day system similar to animal crossing, where the stores and story would only update on a day by day basis. I liked the stores only updating once a day (made it less overwhelming to check for new clothing) but the story progression was longer. GM 3 did have less plot to follow however, so it made more sense. GM 4 has a day system typical of life sim games, where you go to sleep when you run out of tasks to do for the day. I like this system because it doesn't limit the things you can do in one play session, and it can make the story more engaging. It also updates the stores more often, making it easier to 100% and collect all of the clothes, however, it makes the game less engaging over time, and doesn't give an incentive to play day after day. I think a mix between the two could create a more interesting game, but I'm not sure how they would go about doing that. There are pros and cons to each system. 4) BRING BACK RAINBOW Rainbow was a character in GM 3, where by taking screenshots of the game and showing them to her, she would find and unlock hidden colors. I really like this mechanic and think it is interesting, even though it can be a bit tedious at times. Maybe a system where instead of you showing the pictures, she automatically tells you if you unlocked them + shows you the photo that unlocked it? 5) REMOVE OR CHANGE THE DESIGN CLOTHES The main gimmick of GM 4 was designing your own clothes. The game doesn't really push you to do it at all, and the clothes they have you design don't match the clothes already in the game. Most of these "customization" options in games aren't actually that useful and I personally just ignore them in favor of prebuilt pretty clothes. I think either changing it so that certain clothes can be recolored by you/dyed, or changing it so that you can recycle clothes into new ones would be interesting, and a good way to add the mechanic to future games. 6) CHANGE THE BUILDING EDITING SYSTEM. GM 3 and GM 4 both struggle with a clunky furniture moving system. The design is similar to happy house designer, however the menus feel clunky to navigate through and are overall more difficult to use. I think revamping it a bit to make it smoother would be the way to go. GM 3 had a dollhouse theme, and so changing the furniture and collecting new pieces was referred to as collecting miniatures, which I liked. 7) INCLUDE MORE STYLES OF CLOTHING. One of the biggest draws of the GM series, that brought me to it specifically, was the subculture themed clothing! They have punk/emo, classic/sweet lolita, gothic lolita, "retro", preppy, decora kei, and probably more. Adding more styles, such
as Mori, would be a good move for the series, and also a good way to market it to a young teen demographic, especially as dress up games become more popular. 8) REMOVE/CHANGE THE BOHO-CHIC ITEMS. A lot of the boho-chic items in the game are actually just culturally appropriated from native americans, which while true to the style it is trying to emulate, is a bit weird to see, and could cause controversy later in the line. This game is made by a japanese company and translated to english, so I understand why they are still in a game that came out in 2017 but still, it isn't a great look for nintendo. 9) ALLOW YOURSELF TO CHANGE YOUR PERSONA LATER IN THE GAME. In GM 4 and 3, at the start of the game, you get to design a character and choose facial features, skintone and height. You should be able to edit the character later in the game, possibly through settings or something. Fixed character customization is a bit of an outdated thing anyways, with most modern games allowing you to change your avatar as much as you want. 10) CHANGE ONLINE PLAY. Currently, in GM 3 and 4, online play usually consists of sharing the building and your personas outfit. I think there should be less of an emphasis of sharing the building, and more emphasis on sharing outfits, since that is what the game centers around. Obviously the boutique interior is the place you are going to see the most in the game, but focusing on outfits you have created makes more sense for the series and genre. There are more additions/changes to the series that I'd like to see, such as a larger male catalogue/allowing to pick a male avatar, a range of body types, LGBT rep, or disability rep, however, I know those are mostly too much to ask for a light hearted dress up game RPG made for a young female demographic, sadly. I think marketing the game largely to young teens on platforms such as instagram and tiktok, and emphasizing the subculture styles such as punk and y2k would be a great marketing strategy, especially since those demographics are flocking to online dress up browser games that have a similar focus. Promoting the shareability of the ingame outfits by having an easy/quick to use photo booth and an easy way to crop the photos/videos to fit a phone format would also be a great way to have the game spread through word of mouth. Of course, nintendo can kind of suck at marketing their games, especially more obscure titles like this, so I don't expect most or really any of this to happen.

Undo my ESC '21 (semi-final two)
Good afternoon folks, and welcome to the second part of Undo my ESC – my annual quest to make the year’s Eurovision better (at least, for me xD) by making a feasible change in each country – it could be something as small as altering a lyric or a staging detail, or as big as a different artist entirely winning the NF. Semi-final one was here so let's jump straight into SF2!
🇸🇲 San Marino: We're thrown into the deep end here with a fan fav that doesn't do at all for me. I'm one of maybe 5 people on the planet who prefers Freaky by far, I guess? I'm happy for Senhit to be getting so much love and for the diminutive serene republic to finally have a shot at a good result - but I'm not so keen on the way it's been done. There's a bit of cognitive dissonance for me because my favourite thing about Adrenalina is Flo Rida's rap, but I don't like the idea of bringing in famed American artists like "ringers" to elevate a song above one with "only" local talent. I would be so tempted to give the rap part to local artist IROL instead to spit some hot bars in Italian.
🇪🇪 Estonia: I had hope this year, I really did, for my era of absolutely adoring Estonia at ESC to be revived after 4 painful years. There were so many good songs at this year's Eesti Laul, like those of Ivo Linna, Egert, Gram of fun, Heleza - but ultimately, my huge favourite was, as expected, Jüri Pootsmann. Anyone who followed this blog back in 2016 knows how much I adore Jüri and was desperate to see him get a redemption arc at ESC itself. Magus melanhoolia was one of the best songs of the season for me and one of the best stagings. As much as I prefer '20 artists to get their shot in '21, problematic Uku with his toxic ex vibes song will have to step aside and let the Jüri renaissance happen here.
🇨🇿 Czechia: I really dig Benny Cristo - he has personality, presence and his own enjoyable style. At first I was kinda disappointed with Omaga because I was expecting something more in the vein of Kemama, with more pronounced Afrobeat influences. But it has grown on me a lot too. My change? Add more Czech than just one blink-and-you-miss-it line, mate! (Article continues below)
🇬🇷 Greece: I see this being talked up as potential televote top 3 and I just don't get it. Maybe it's the way the chorus rhymes dance with itself three times (and uses the term rockin' romance unironically); maybe it's the way that there are better 80s-inspired songs both in ESC and many fallen tributes in the NF season... it just leaves me cold. I actually preferred Supergirl and my change would be for Stefania to bring something with some actual Greek flair.
🇦🇹 Austria: I’ll echo what I said last year about Österreich – how did they go from Conchita to a guy who wished he wouldn’t have gay kids like this? I find both of this guy's songs insipid in different ways and I would invite Pænda back instead to avenge her getting robbed with the beautiful Limits. Or give a second shot at glory to the incredible Cesár!
🇵🇱 Poland: Unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love The Ride, and I feel bad for Alicja, but I much prefer it to Empires. What started as an ironic fondness for Rafał's cringy uncle vibes ended up being genuine appreciation - it's one of the few 80s-inspired songs that sound like they actually could have come out of that decade rather than like modern pastiches. And Raf actually does have an awkward charisma. My change - insert some Polish! Poland does so well with natural sounding bilingual efforts in JESC, they should bring it to the main contest too!
🇲🇩 Moldova: I was lowkey prepared to be disappointed by Moldova - I actually enjoyed Prison a lot and the news that they were going in a completely different direction didn't sit so well with me. And yet, I also love Sugar. Natalia's power! My changes: get rid of that weird scene with literally egg on her face - too on the nose for me. And incorporate a bit of the stellar Russian translation, Tuz bubi, because I'm always going to be advocating for more linguistic diversity xD
🇮🇸 Iceland: Daði Freyr can literally do no wrong with me. Whilst it doesn't have the same intense extra-fandom hype that Think about things did, I think I like Ten years even more. Nothing to change here.
🇷🇸 Serbia: It's no secret that Hurricane were far from my favourites at Beovizija 20, and that I find this a downgrade for Sanja compared to her powerful '16 song. And yet... Hasta la vista grew on me a lot, and so has Loco loco. It's something that is definitely scratching an itch at this year's ESC and the burst of anarchic energy it'll provide will be amazing. I am seriously tempted to change to the acoustic version, though, which has all the attitude of the original but is more beautiful for me and lets the girls' voices shine more.
🇬🇪 Georgia: Georgia keeps serving acquired tastes, and as a patron saint of marginal genres and I love them for that. This year, they've gone for something that even many fans of Tornike find hard to swallow - gone is the roaring rock of last year, replaced with a much more contemplative, soft effort that reminds me a little of Lou Reed. I enjoy both songs, but I can't deny preferring 2020. At the same time, I admire the chutzpah required to send something so different. I just wish there could be a moment to properly showcase T's powerhouse vocals.
🇦🇱 Albania: It was an odd Festival i këngës this year, outdoors in the freezing cold and without the orchestra that makes the songs soar so much more for me. Karma is a perfectly respectable winner, albeit one that lacks the immediacy and rawness of Shaj, Ktheju tokës and Mall. In my ideal alternate reälity, Arilena Ara would have been invited back. She'd bring a song as beautiful as Shaj - and not do a revamp into English that removes its edge this time.
🇵🇹 Portugal: 2015-2020 was a full on Portugal stan era for me. I want to believe that this year is an aberration and that in 2022, our lusitanian neighbours will produce the goods once again. Because ending a colossal streak of not sending songs that don't include Portuguese for this? I am baffled. I wanted the anthemic Joana do mar, produced beautifully by Luísa Sobral, or the timeless Contramão, which sounds like it escaped a Nouvelle Vague soundtrack. Saudade, Por um triz or a number of others would have been grand too.
🇧🇬 Bulgaria: I wasn't expecting much from Bulgaria - I really didn't and don't like TGS and the majority of songs in Victoria's NF-but-not-really aren't my cup of tea. I was happy she got her second chance, but resigned to not liking the song much that would get picked. And then, my fav, which was last in many community ratings, ended up being her pick. I adore GUIGO and believe it has the possibility to do very, very well at Rotterdam and be one of the 'moments' of the evening.
🇫🇮 Finland: CRIMINAL how YLE treated Aksel - it felt like he wasn't the defending champion, and that Erika Vikman had won the previous year. They also - I believe, deliberately - split his vote by making his just one of a number of ballads, so of course what stood out most were the two decidedly non-ballady songs. Finland only two years ago had a single-artist UMK. They could and should have brought it back for Aksel. I'd hope Hurt would win it, because that song is stunning.
🇱🇻 Latvia: I was, and am, delighted that Latvia stuck with Samanta Tina. The lady lives and breathes ESC, even wrote a university thesis about it, and if she tried so many times, finally won and then DIDN'T get to go to ESC, I would have gone to LTV headquarters personally to remonstrate. I really like both her songs. The moon is rising is poised, powerful and like nothing else this year. The only thing I'd change is adding some Latvian because it's a gorgeous language and we've been waiting for ages to hear it again.
🇨🇭 Switzerland: Gjon's song is once again not really my cup of tea, or tears - but I enjoy it better than last year's and I'm glad he's back. Highkey wish it did include Albanian or Romansch like confused commenters last year thought it did.
🇩🇰 Denmark: There is literally no excuse for Denmark's treatment of Ben & Tan. I'm not even a big fan of their music at all, out to not even allow them to compete in DMGP to defend their win with Iron heart? Even though there are songs that competed in DMGP that I prefer a lot, most notably Står lige her, I would probably have let them have a proper second chance.
And the automatic qualifiers voting in this semi -
🇫🇷 France: For me, France had an absolutely enthralling, sincere, perfectly Gallic entry that hit me so hard in the feels. And whilst I respect Voilà, no, that wasn't it. It was Pourvu qu'on m'aime, easily one of the best songs I heard all year inside NFs or out. I find Voilà a little too mannered and affected, whilst PQM is a shot straight from Juliette's heart into mine. In my dream, it'd have won CVQD and be receiving the same love that Voilà is right now.
🇪🇸 Spain: Whilst it is getting next to no love in the fandom and seems quite forgotten, I find Voy a quedarme one of the best songs sent from this country in several years - and I say that having preferred Memoria. I am proud of Blas and love that he had a hand in writing this song. My change? He said recently that the staging in Rotterdam won't be inspired by the poignant music video despite wanting it to be - I would incorporate elements from it in the live.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom: Frankly, I think almost all the Big 5+1 brought it this year, with the notable exception of Germany. Embers is the banger that I never thought was coming from James Newman, and it's been one of the biggest earworms of the season. I wouldn't change anything about it - I'd just ensure that the staging replicated the energy of the video as much as possible!

what annoys you the most with 3H? The fandom or the missed opportunities from the game?
Oh.
The fandom takes the first place, because while it was funny to craugh seeing those bad takes, 2 years after the release of the game those takes are still endorsed and built upon and it’s just impossible to discuss about FE16 without being sure that the person you’re talking to is talking about the game, or the redshit takes.
Still, I firmly believe fandom wouldn’t be that cesspool of incessant drama if the localised version (especially NoA?) didn’t take wild directions with the game. It’s incomprehensible how a game in its OG version can be saying green but the localised version everyone talks about “corrected” it to “blue”.
Scripts are more or less the same, but the directions given to the VAs?
rant under the cut about directions, voice acting and people arbitrarly pushing an agenda despite the media they’re supposed to translate/bring to non-jp crowds.
I pointed it in an earlier post (or earlier posts?) but as a french person I grew up with the 4Kids dub, which was infamous for, uh, “translating” things for western audiences, even at the cost of coherency and let’s not even talk about the source material this thing doesn’t exist. Remember the Shadow Realm from YGO? .
I watched a short anime a few years ago about the anime industry (Shirobako?) and I remember a character trying to become hired as a voice actor/seiyuu - she had to learn and to feel the character - she has to know the character as much as the author who created them.
A few years ago, I didn’t feel as if the dubbing cast worked on their characters as much as the OG!voice actors. For a recet exemples I was rewatching a certain anime with the fr dub - basically a former underling fights against his superior who became a traitor, and even if his superior doesn’t regret turning into a traitor and ultimately became a giant fly, the underling always respected his superior and treated him with proper forms of adress. In the “early 2010 dub” I watched yesterday? Yeah no, guy’s talking to him as if he is talking to his friend in a pub.
Even now, while the quality of the voice acting has improved (and I feel like people take their jobs way more seriously for the dubbing industry) - i was the first surprised with SoV’s VA - we have now directions. Because the manga/anime/game isn’t, uh, good enough or whatever, the dubbing team decides to go off and do its own thing, regardless of coherence or, worse, what was the intent/core of the og game.
I am playing MH:Rise, the game is set up in a more or less traditional “ninja” village, with a lot of old japanese (? feudal? idk) aesthetics. The devs said they wanted to return to the roots of the saga and based new monsters on Yokais, mythological monsters from the japanese folklore. When you meet a new giant monster to hunt, you have small cutscenes to introduce said monster sung with a Noh theater aesthetic (i just looked up on wikipedia i thought it was kabuki but kabuki isn’t the only form of theater whatever the more you know).
NPCs in the MH series speak their own language, often called the MHese (a bit like the sim language). IDK if it is because this opus has a japanese aesthetic, but you can pick a jp voice acting instead of the MHese (same voice actors but talking in a different language). Or you can pick the US/ENG dub, with, I suppose, US VAs. I’m not complaing about the lack of FR dub, I’m rather happy with it tbf. But, for some reason, despite the aesthetic, the yokais, the pagodas in the background, the samurai flagship cat, the katanas and whatever, I thought the Noh style cutscenes weren’t going to change, or maybe someone would try to sing in English. But it isn’t the case, the US/ENG version of those cutscenes aren’t Noh style sung, they were completely revamped, so no traditionnal songs and instruments in the background, instead have a dude describing the monster you’re about to face in a cheap National Geographic imitation.
Why remove this? Was it because US!Capcom thought the western world wouldn’t understand the Noh references (but could still understand the general “aesthetic”, just, ban on the songs?) or some shit? They couldn’t remove the flagship cat’s samurai armor to swap it for a GI uniform, so they banned the Noh cutscenes? Why?
It is the same shit NoA pulled out with the Fates localisation, Suzukaze became Kaze because... reasons?
Maybe I’m biased because I’m french, and apparently Wonder France is one of the biggest consumer of anime/manga outside japan, but the mere idea that something can be changed because it’s not “western enough so the audience wouldn’t get it” pisses me to no end, and this is why, in the beginnings of Internet (YT videos with 4 parts, megaupload etc etc) everyone I knew who watched anime ditched everything dubbed to watch the very same episode but subbed (one of my friends even worked on her english with subs!).
Back to FE16 because this is your question and I ranted enough, I cannot stress it enough regarding Rhea, but while I do not doubt Cherami Leigh made a great effort and worked her best with the tools given to her (to this day I still cannot fathom how she managed to dub Mae and Rhea, they’re so different or not seiros is genki!rhea if only leigh was given that script) Leigh!Rhea isn’t Inoue!Rhea. NoA (I harp on NoA but I suppose NoA oversaw the dubbint process/effort, NoE is inexistent) had an agenda and a reading of Rhea that isn’t the same as NoJ.
“You worthless piece of garbage” doesn’t exist in the og!script - but more importantly, delivering this, Inoue!Rhea isn’t furious, she is upset and desperate. Leigh!Rhea is furious, Cherami Leigh does an admirable job at conveying NoA!Rhea’s fury - but this is not the same character NoJ wrote. If NoA gave the same directions NoJ gave Kikuko Inoue to Cherami Leigh, I’m pretty sure the “Rhea BaD” crowd, the eating babies takes and whatever shit redshit comes up everyday would be way reduced.
Maybe @nilsh13 has redshit take saved talking about this, but if we’re not talking about the same character, what kind of discussion can even happen? (I’m sure someone someday pulled the “well i played the localised game so i’m not talking about the og script with you but with the localised script” to defend some smelly take)
Missed opportunities can be fuel for fanfics.
Discourse based on fandom drama (at this point NoA itself is part of the fandom with their “religious extremis/zealot” take)? Nothing can salvage it. I genuinely like to talk about FE16 (especially lizards), but since every topic became a landmind because of the fandom drama, even making posts in good faith can be used as a fuel for drama, or completely diverted from their original goal to suit, again, some faction war between lizards and a certain someone.
Tl; dr : Fandom.
#not american enough#anon#replies#FE16#fandom salt#redshit woes#to be clear this post is not some manifesto to claim Sub>Dub or anything#and i know word to word translation doesn't work#so localisation teams try to accomodate#and sometimes it works really really well#in 10 years we made so much progress in the dubbing anime industry#same for VG#but I'll never shake away the feeling that sometimes something is changed#because it's#MH:Rise is one of the most recent exemples#people eat dangos ffs why remove the noh style cutscenes??#religious extremist is a more common trope in the west so they went with that#but characters aren't tropes#especially the lizards from FE16#a point could be made for 75% of the students#but not the lizards!#Anonymous

A couple of questions on my mind about the recent Pokémon Sinnoh remakes, after the page break. I’ll do another one for Legends Arceus soon.
Are HMs gonna be returning, and if not, how is it gonna be replaced? If they are returning, why. And is Defog returning?
With all the extra evolutions being a part of Sinnoh and thus being in this game, it only raises the question of whether Sylveon and/or past regional variants will appear (I’m not expecting new ones nor Hisui variants).
How is Berry growing handled in this game? Is it gonna be the same system ala ORAS, and if so, is there gonna be a dedicated place for you to grow them like the Berry Meadow? And how is Mulch and time gonna affect Berry growth rates with the Switch?
With the advent of 3D models, how are Accessories gonna be handled? Are some/most of them gonna be attached to the model, and if so are they available to be placed on your walking Pokémon?
How exactly is the Dex handled here? For the most part it seems that it’s Platinum Dex at least (thank god), but we’ve also seen appearances of Sentret, Numel, and Lanturn, none of which was in the main game / adventure. Is the Dex gonna be expanded, or is this more for show?
And on a similar note, how is the Pokémon Statue distribution handled? And how reliable is it to dedicate farming for them in a certain time? Is it possible to slowly unlock the chance for them as time goes on / story progresses? Is this how we’re seeing the extra Pokémon then, through statues that are post-game only?
How are Underground Bases handled? Are they gonna be revamped similar to ORAS Secret Bases? And how furnished is the amount of options for decorations outside of statues? (And imagine if Blissey Bases are back LOL)
Are Underground Traps making a return? And how are they gonna be handled in a world where 3D movement is allowed? Are they still tile based or are they gonna operate differently? And how are each one’s minigame translated for the regular Switch screen?
There’s no second screen for Poketch purposes, but are the minigames / options gonna find their way through other means? Are they a simple menu option like the DexNav?
We see a Pal Park like area in the map, but what is the actual purpose for this area? Is this an extra Safari Zone like area, or is it gonna have some other use?
Is the running Pokémon feature for Mesprit / Cresselia gonna make a return? Is it gonna use the XY system of running, or is some other form of minigame gonna be utilized? And are the Legendary Birds gonna be a part of this?
Is the Great Marsh gonna be updated like how ORAS’s Safari Zone was handled?
Are event based areas such as Newmoon Island, Flower Paradise, and the extra Regi rooms gonna make a return? Are they gonna incorporate the Hall of Origin?
Is the Distortion World making an appearance? If so, how is it gonna be handled with the 3D traversal?
Is the WiFi plaza making a return?
With the advent of Contest stats making a return, could we see the reappearance of the Cosplay Pikachu?
Are Honey Trees gonna be updated?
Is Looker gonna be in this game?
The website makes it seems that we can choose the Pokémon who walks outside the ball regardless of party position. I’m just hoping this is true, cuz *yes*. Also is some Pokémon gonna be able to be ridden on like Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee?
With the walking Pokémon feature, how is Amity Square gonna be handled?
Is there gonna be just a generic model for surfing Pokémon, or are they gonna get dedicated models? (probably not)
Is Rotom / Rotom Forms gonna be post game?
With the lack of a touch screen, how is Poffin cooking handled? Will it be similar to curry making in Sword and Shield?
Are the Unown gonna be used as the main method of obtaining most Stickers / are letter stickers returning? (Also I love how you earn some Stickers through defeating Gym Leaders that’s a genius idea)
Are Eevee gonna return to their dedicated location evolution requirements, or are they gonna retain their updates to simple evolutionary stones? And is this gonna be the same for Magneton and Nosepass?
Is the Platinum order of the Gym Leaders gonna be used, or will Fantina be the fifth Gym Leader?
With the outfit system, can we change anything about them in game, like colors and what not? And are the Contest outfits gonna be available to wear outside? Can we get Team Galactic / notable character outfits, aka dress like a Gym Leader / Elite Four? And are we able to change our hair style independent of outfits? And can we wear masks, as they made their debut in the original games?
Is the Move Relearner gonna be the older system of requiring Heart Scales, or is it gonna be the newer system where you can just learn any level up move when going to a certain person?
How are accompany characters like Cheryl, Riley, Myra, etc gonna be handled in this 3D environment?
The map showcases just the Battle Tower, but a part of me is wondering if it’s gonna be changed or updated in any capacity. (Probably not, and be at peace Factory, Castle, Arcade, and Hall; you will be missed.)
Is the Sinnoh Battleground gonna be updated in any capacity?
Is the resort home you earn in post game gonna be updated in any capacity? And is this a new method of earning statues / accessories / items?
How is the level curve in this game? And is the Elite Four gonna be an updated “pick any order you want”, or will it be the same Bug to Ground to Fire to Psychic setup?
Is Heatran gonna get Eruption in this game?
Is the PokeRadar making a return? If not, what other Shiny hunting methods are gonna be implemented?
Is the story gonna be faithful to Diamond and Pearl, or will it have some Platinum additions, like Charon? And is there gonna be any more extras post game?
Please for the love of god let me clean off my badges, I loved that feature please let me do so my serotonin craved brain would love it please please please.
I… think that’s all of them for now. Hopefully a majority of these will be answered closer to release.

Perception Erina's Hiraishin Theory: Teleporting vs Leaping(Traveling)
An excerpt from chapter 4 of 'Perception'
Disclaimer: I do not own JJK in any shape or form.
In all aspects, fuinjutsu wasn't an easy thing to tackle. The very essence of fuinjutsu is that it is the base of all seals. Seals are used to store items. A basic example is storage scrolls. The laws of the previous world didn't apply to this one though the two had their similarities. She had to revamp the entire concept of fuinjutsu into one where this world could comprehend and allow.
It was an effort that took a decade to perfect. Unlike Erina's previous world, fuinjutsu was solely for seals in this world. She couldn't cast a sealing barrier, retrains, or any of the incredible sub-counterparts that fuinjutsu could have offered. For now, at least.
What's more, the hiraishin wasn't originally of her creation. A long time ago, curiosity was eating her away about how the technique worked. So she stoled a forbidden scroll of the original.
Safe to say, whatever she uncovered didn't live up to her expectation.
Her own hiraishin was an improvised version of the original. It took her almost a lifetime to develop to complement her fighting style. For lack of a better name, she referred to the technique as 'hiraishin.' She supposed she could rename it. However, she didn't have the slightest clue on what to call it.
She can apply a specialized hiraishin formula seal with the merest touch onto any surface, granted it has to be tangible. There are no limits to how many targets she can mark with the seal. By placing her formula on her targets or a place, she can 'teleport' to them. Though, 'teleport' wasn't the word she'd have described it.
The word she'd prefer was 'leap.'
It was not like switching places or immediately appearing on the target. Judging by Erina's current location, she would leap to the closest hiraishin seal and the next until she reached the specific mark.
The thing or person transfers to a pocket dimension while simultaneously leaping from nearest seal to seal at high speed. By doing this, it spares minimal cursed energy usage, but there is also the time lag. They would then resummoned at the desired target. That was why most people sometimes get nauseous when they travel with the hiraishin.
In Erina's case, she rarely feels sick due to the numerous times she uses the hiraishin. She compares this effect to how objects sealed in a storage scroll's pocket dimension. It creates a separate space for the person or thing(like a mini domain expansion?). The pocket dimension exists to prevent any damage to the items or bodies kept in there.
To put it simply, the teleportation of the hiraishin and the action of taking out the object were similar. Explaining it any further would be one hell of a theory that was a pain that would bite at her butt.
She rarely utilizes her hiraishin in combat situations. It was more of a form of transport and one-way escape route.
Summing up, fuinjutsu was a literal mind-fuck Erina did not recommend anyone crazy, even sorcerers, to learn unless they are prepared to get emotionally scarred for life.
Her hiraishin does not stick to the English translated name of 'Flying Thunder God,' cause apparently the technique is far from that kind of speed. Fast but not quite.
I'd like to think that the movements are more of leaps and travels than teleportation, which is more automatic and direct. The thing or person is transferred to a pocket dimension at the same time, do not have any recollections of the place.
You would feel that not much time has past even though, it did.
On that note, I've attach a visual representation on Erina's technique hiraishin.

Spring Love with the Prince (Royal Garden) // Voiced Mini Stories
Well, this event is nice because its contents (the avatars, the voice lines, etc.) appear to be new – as in it’s not all lazy reprinted crud from the ancient BMP1 platform. It seems like for 2020 they’ve managed to get a hold of all the seiyuu and recorded new voice lines haha yes
Translations and Event Fluff Behind the Cut!
Characters are organized by story order (the order you receive them)
Glenn (CV. Ishikawa Kaito)
[G]: “Ah, a hairy caterpillar-! … Just joking with you.” [G]: “…Could it be that you’re upset with me? Sorry.” [G]: “…Huh? You were just pretending to be mad? Haah… Thank goodness.” [G]: “I was thinking that you were upset because I made fun of you, so I got a bit flustered there.” [G]: “Really, I’m too weak when it comes to you. Even knowing that, I can’t change a thing about it and it’s frustrating.”
Zain (CV. Hirakawa Daisuke)
[Z]: “I’m completely mesmerized – not by… the cherry blossoms, but by My Lady mesmerized by the blossoms.” [Z]: “Stay still for a moment. A petal got in your hair...” (kiss) [Z]: “I lied. You standing still among the dancing flurry of the blossoms… was so beautiful, so naturally I simply… was swayed to want to do such a thing.” [Z]: “Would it be all right if I do it… some more?”
hirarin as zain is just……..
also there really was a kiss sfx but I cut it out by accident when editing lol whoopsies
Joshua (CV. Namikawa Daisuke)
[J]: “It is my first time partaking in this supposed ‘cherry blossom viewing’, but I could not possibly think that it would be this much fun.” [J]: “Somehow or another, I tend to naturally smile when it appears that you’re enjoying yourself.” [J]: “You, truly… I’m just no match for you.”
Edward (CV. Okitsu Kazuyuki)
[E]: “The descending, transient cherry blossoms truly are beautiful.” [E]: “Though it is only that way because I get to see something that is, indeed, always more gorgeous than these flowers.” [E]: “I may have never felt such an impression before.” [E]: “’What could that something be,’ you ask?” [E]: “…It is you – my beautiful partner who need not scatter away.”
Keith (CV. Kondo Takashi)
[K]: “Spring at Oriens is also pretty nice, huh.” [K]: “…Just a moment ago, you standing there in the midst of the storm of blossoms was so freakin’ stunning, I was honestly a bit enchanted by it.” [K]: “…Man, I’m all drunk on that blossom-viewing sake.” [K]: “I said something that was pretty out-of-character of me.”
Roberto (CV. Kimura Ryohei)
[R]: “It’s the perfect weather for cherry blossom viewing!” [R]: “Now, the bento you woke up early to make for me is also the best, but–“ [R]: “I missed the taste of your family’s dango!”
…………sir this is not as heartfelt as the others im gonna need u to return home-
Wilfred (CV. Sakurai Takahiro)
[W]: “Apparently in your country there’s a saying that goes along the lines of ‘the dango over the flowers.’” [W]: “From my angle, it’s you over the flowers and over the dango.” [W]: “The cherry blossoms are indeed very beautiful; but when I get to see things with you, simply anything and everything ends up looking beautiful.”
The saying he’s talking about 「花より団子」has a meaning that’s kind of like “choosing substance over style”, or preferring practicality over aesthetics and/or style. Mind, it’s not used as a positive thing to describe someone haha. It’s kind of like criticizing someone for not appreciating or understanding the beauty of something
Yakov (CV. Yasumoto Hiroki)
[Y]: “These ‘cherry blossoms’ come and fall rather fleetingly.” [Y]: “However, simply the scattering of all these petals at once is a magnificent sight.” [Y]: “I like it. I want to see these blossoms with you for next year as well. It’s a promise.”
Brief Event Fluff
This event is in their relatively-new “Royal Garden” format. It’s just a revamp of collection events, but it’s cute bc you can take their pets out to war to bring back some extra points every three hours. This is probably the most official “rendition” of the BMP1 character’s “pets”. They’re not like the BMP2 charas (where most everyone has an actual pet) so lol with some of them:
wil’s is a terrifying prince rabbit doll bc… carrots or something. somebody retcon in a bootleg lassie for him please i hate looking at this thing
keith is his dumb lion fursona like kevin’s. it even stands upright and everything
roberto has a legit rabbit, which i think has been his motif for a long time and was then further solidified with the rabbit doll in his time travel bday story.
joshua’s is Kyuu. idr if kyuu made any named appearances in his English content, but kyuu is that same grey cat ↓
(there’s more but u get the message) sieg’s cat is “Kyuu the Third” where Sieg’s cat is related to this Kyuu lol
glenn has a hamster(?). kuon has a squirrel (and i think shion the chipmunk?) so it might be a bootleg mascot of that
ed has a pegasus-type-looking horse. I think Arionne exists only in the non-social continuity, and the one BMP fansite master I look to claims that the horse is named Raphael. idk I never really bothered to play much ed content so hmmm
yakov obv has Daifuku which still cracks me up bc it is among the smallest and least threatening of the animals. charas like ivan and ryuo have wolves and tigers which are still cool but cute but the guy with hunting and shooting as his listed hobbies has a very small owl that doesn’t do anything cool except be a klepto and bother him at work
zain has a panther-like cat, identical to jin. but if I really want to go wehhh zain master race zain had the black cat motif in his avatar items before they even bothered to make jin a major character iirc. the fansite master seems to think it’s supposed to be a call to Suzu (the cat in Zain’s time travel bday route) but hmmm idk

5D's Episode 27... with an “Uncut” Dub?! (Re-Edited 4Kids Dub/Japanese OST - Revised)
“A World Without Light -- The Dark Synchro Frozen Fitzgerald!”/”A Web of Deceit (Part 1)″
Everybody listen!
Took long enough to finish up and polish (partly because of work and activism life actually picking up a bit), but here’s a brand-new “dub-uncut” episode! With my first few takes in episodes 23-26 newly revised, I was looking forward to working on 27 and starting fresh again, lol. In case this is the first you’re hearing about my mini-project here, let’s get you up to speed:
So, the official Spanish YGO channel on YouTube flubbed a few uploads of the 5D’s dub such that they ended up uploading a few episodes of the English dub instead of the Latin American dub (21-29)–but with none of 4Kids’s background music! Which meant that I could swoop in and re-insert the original Japanese soundtrack (which I did by matching each track to how it was looped in the episode), but I wanted to do more by also tweaking the dub itself so that not only was it matching the original footage, but the dialogue was more in line with the original dialogue timing-wise (since I couldn’t salvage much of what they changed). Hence, the “dubbed uncut” gimmick here. To this end, I’ve also used dialogue from Duel Links where applicable, or even borrowed audio from other episodes with the vocals isolated to lend to that effect.

So, this one was fun to do particularly because overall, save for the, er... butchering that happened on explaining the Dark Synchro mechanic (4Kids wut) and the rewrite of Carly’s interaction with her Editor-in-Chief (and making Carly a “blogger” lol), the dialogue was already more or less in line with the Japanese version, which meant that I was more or less just removing a lot of the fluff as I added back the OST. As I did in 22, 24, and 26, I added subs for the scenes where 4Kids rewrote things a bit too much for my taste (so, the scenes I mentioned above, but also the occasional line or a few), but of course these subs will be optional in the MKV I release on NAC for this. I also added back some SFX and tried to remove the dub’s replacement SFX in most cases, though I had to swap out the SFX as Speed Warrior was tuning with Junk Synchron since 4Kids had a tendency to add some new one over the original SFX and made it too loud to work with the Yusei chant I put there. And I translated the OP/ED credits in Last Train and CROSS GAME, revamping my singable lyrics a bit for Last Train while drafting new ones for CROSS GAME which I’ll post soon; you can see my Last Train translation in the second WIP video and CROSS GAME’s here. Full process breakdown below the cut.
Also, major thanks to yugidmx5 for providing A+ rips of the “The Day Begins/Tenpei” theme in the Carly/Angela scene, the “Vision of Tragedy” theme as Yusei and Ruka talk about the Satellite’s future, and the alternate “Dark Signers” tune which plays as we first see them and then again between the Dark Signer drones recruiting and Yusei chasing Dark-Signer!Dick down (before it transitions to the OST-released version once Yusei gets to the building under construction); I know that since these came out well, he’s working on better rips for some or most of the unreleased OST, so stay tuned there (I also drafted up a full version of the alternate DS theme, but had to get creative since they didn’t play all of it in this alternate style; will post soon). And thanks to Tiny Spider Productions, who provided the “shock” SFX playing as Carly sees Yusei’s arm actually glowing in her car, some inspo here/there for dialogue fixes, and provided CurtisH from CastingCallClub’s recording he did voicing a line from Tanner translating the original line about the four Signers they know which 4Kids cut short.
I hope folks enjoy! Just breezing through 28 often for lines to use here, I can tell it’s going to be a headache because they did throw in a lot more jankiness in the dialogue... So, fun. 🙃 Once I handle finalizing my subs for GX 56 (and possibly 57 due to how long this took), I’ll start drafting it out; stay tuned~
(And if you're able to reblog for visibility, it’d be appreciated given Tumblr’s suckage with links 🙏🏽)
Breakdown, breakdown~
So, I used Duel Links audio for the twins to handle the Noteworthy/Showcased Cards bit (we’ll see if I still can in 28... And as the twins are voiced by Eileen Stevens in Duel Links but not yet in 5D’s [that happens in 65], bear with me lol), and I also translated the sign for this hardsub in Photoshop, masking in the Fitzgerald card and Rua and Ruka’s heads over it in Sony Vegas.
Moving to the episode proper, a second was trimmed from the shot of the stadium in the TV Rally/co are using once it tunes in, and I couldn’t properly loop the “Yusei!” shouts to cover it, so I just filled in the audio with the crowd just cheering. In the Carly/Angela scene, I removed Angela’s extra lines about her makeup and hair while Carly was getting ready, then tweaked Angela’s line on camera to remove her last name (which we never learn originally) and move her lines about “Fusei Yudo” winning to play sooner while removing Carly’s “one journalist to another” as she walks up to correct her (as this scene was rewritten, there are subs to show the original dialogue). Looped chants of “Yusei!” to remove his internal “pointing out the obvious” monologue before the OP.
After the OP, I used the JP audio to keep the doctors moving Jack quiet (hopefully you don’t notice the chants changing lol), then as Yanagi runs over, I replaced his bit about Yusei having “a brand new enemy” in the media with “we should all get going” from 26. The Godwin/Lazar scene stays the same since it was accurate, but I did have to put the end of Rex’s “that’s the only thing that matters” line on another track so Lazar’s gasp would play when it should (they added a second to his talking in the dub). The Yusei/co scene in the tunnel stays mostly the same, just switched to the JP audio as the flashback to the Satellite vision happened, then as Yusei had a quick one before gasping, I recycled a gasp and a “hmm” from elsewhere to cover the commercial-inducing monologue they gave him in the dub. For the press conference scene, I thought about removing the one “That’s right, Ted” reporter’s line since he’s quiet originally, but thought “whatever,” and then I spaced out Carly’s line as she reads her fortune to match her Japanese line’s pace and remove some of the fluff. I switched to the JP audio after Carly asked about Yusei’s arm glowing to remove Rex’s comment over it, then stitched up a “Perhaps; still, I didn’t see that” mixing his line there with a “still” from 23. Carly’s line as she’s excited about Goodwin dodging her question (originally just “I’ll keep moving forward too!” [she references her fortune a lot more]) was longer in the dub, so I cut out the “which means I’m onto something” for use later. For Carly’s chat with her Editor-in-Chief, I included subs because of the rewrite, but I did shorten Carly’s line just before “bring some dirt and you might still have a job” which was lengthened by 4Kids. Removed a lot of Carly’s fluff as she began to watch the Yusei duel footage via the JP audio, then stitched together “Goodwin tried to give me that bit but [the whole world will know what Goodwin’s trying to hide]”, the latter bit coming from Carly’s monologue as she’s running at the end of the ep, then switched to the JP audio to remove Carly’s fluff about living in her car. Then, as we see the Dark Signers looming, because 4Kids removed the commercial break here, I kept only Demak and Kalin’s chuckling and Roman’s “lower the curtains” line over the desk shot, then looped some of his laughing from after the eyecatch to lead into it.
After the eyecatch, I made use of his “Goodwin assembled his Signers” bit, recycled a little chuckling, then cut Roman’s reference to Shakespeare to just the “tangled web” line (thanks to yugidmx5 also providing the SFX for this scene, I was able to move Roman’s laughing to play where it should after he releases his spiders). Moving to Yanagi drawing the Crimson Dragon, I only kept his “saw it the once” line while using Japanese Rua and Ruka’s interested gasps to fill a fluff gap, then combined two bits of audio to get a [slightly] awkward “t[ail]” to fix 4Kids’s dumb error claiming he had the Head birthmark; accordingly, made Leo say “What about it?” instead of “What about the Head?”. CurtisH’s line for Tanner comes in here, with a slight tweak or two to match the lip-flaps more, then JP audio as we see all the Signers so far to remove Leo’s dialogue. Meanwhile, for Jack’s hospital scene, I translated the “No Visitors” sign Mikage walks past (along with fixing “Atlus” to “Atlas”). The Dark Signer recruitment scene also gets some subs, then I used the JP audio from when we see Dark Signer!Dick walking to Yusei’s birthmark beginning to glow; yugidmx5 providing the SFX was a big help here, too. Yusei runs out to chase Dick down, and then when he sees him inside the under-construction building, I took “Who are you” from later in the episode, but added a more question-ending “u?” to flesh the sound out a bit (since the line was “Who are you and what’s going on”). I took “Fine, then” and “What are you planning to do to the Satellite” from 28 (which I’ll likely cut as it was added offscreen dialogue), and TSP provided a vocal-isolated cut of Dick’s line about his master (because 4Kids cut his shot short by a second or two and played it as the SFX for the zoomout as his Disk activated played).
They begin the duel, and here I just kept “What’s going on?” from the line I noted earlier, recycled some laughing from Dick to match the JP script, then shortened his line about their being offered up “by the light” to work with the new timing. Dick begins his turn, but I recycled an “It’s my turn now” line from later for accuracy, then his setting-a-card line is cut short at his ending his turn as Yusei looks on. Carly, driving nearby and seeing lights from the duel off in the distance, gets her reference to the Goodwin “sheen from Yusei’s Runner got in your eye” line that I cut replaced with the “I’m onto something” I noted before. Yusei gets a recycled “It’s my move!” line from 24 to start his turn, tweaked to remove the drawing SFX that happens in it, then to remove a dub SFX I used a Duel Links line to fill out “I activate the Tuning [Spell Card]”. “I summon Junk Synchron” comes from 24 (and “Level-2-or-below Monster from my Graveyard” comes from his Graceful Revival explanation in episode 3), then--thanks to Arian over on NAC reuploading some HQ dub episodes--a better-quality vocal rip of his “Level-3 Junk Synchron, tune with Level-2 Speed Warrior!” line from 87, along with a better-quality rip of his “From two come one” chant and “Form the road of light!” from Duel Links. Yusei shouts “Battle!” from Duel Links, then I slowed down his line at “[Attack his Blizzard Li]zard” to end it there (and remove the “warm Satellite welcome” fluff). As Blizzard Lizard’s effect activates, I combined an “I activate,” “Blizzard Lizard’s special ability,” and “now” for a better line than “Blizzard Lizard’s special ability is going on.” Yusei’s lines after being damaged and realizing he damaged Dick too are spaced out to match the JP script, then I borrowed Yusei’s line on setting two cards from episode 3. Then, when Dick plays Ice Mirror, I stitched up an explanation (since the Card Interruption does it for him) combining Call of the Haunted’s explanation with a few other pieces of dialogue (thanks to TSP for the inspo). I cut Dick’s “Now I’ll play” line there to remove the dub’s zooming-in SFX, and then made Dick’s line about his third Blizzard Lizard end right before the split-screen with all three of them to remove the dub’s split-screen SFX. I thought about replacing Yusei’s “three’s a crowd” line with “What’s that all about” from later, but couldn’t figure out a way to fill the line in before that, so I left it, but didn’t let Dick acknowledge it by just recycling “With that done” to replace “Well, how about [I release]”, then after Yusei reacts to his Dark Tuner, I recycled some chuckling to match the JP script and trimmed his line about its “power to extinguish;” the Dark Synchro “explanation” gets some subs to actually explain it, then I looped Carly’s panting as she runs to cover the “Goodwin’s trying to hide” line I moved to earlier, and recycled/amplified Dick’s laughing at various points through the ep to remove Yusei’s episode-ending monologue.
In the preview, I just recycled Yusei’s “No way...” and “A Dark Synchro Summon?!” while borrowing Carly’s lines about the Dark Tuner from 28, then Yusei’s line about getting his answers to end it. I had to speed up the OST version of the preview tune to match the pace here, then trimmed it and ended it with the JP audio for the quick fade-out.

Darksimz’s ALL PACKS Save file download V1.0
Whatup Tumblr! I’ve been a lurker user, albeit an active one, both on here, as well as in other social media. But I’ve been an avid simmer since I know myself, and that translated to my online interests as well. And inspired by some of my favourite kickass youtubers and bloggers, and by the growing digicts on my Sims 4 playtime I decided to create a new account where I can be an active member of the community, and share my creations. And that begins with sharing my Darksimz Save file.
While not 100% complete, its at a state where I consider it completely playable, enjoyable and immersive. The save uses every pack released to the date of the posting of this file, in a way completely integrated in every world.
My style is still maxis match, but integrated with the dark humor of the original The Sims, and The Sims 2, filled with personality, story progression and detail. I revamped every lot of every world, some in a more complete way than others, but the community lots, and the places you should visit the most, including all hidden lots, I consider finished.
New households, old ones from previous iterations of the game, and the ones that should simply be in the game in the first place, all complete with descriptions and fun stories to continue or interact with. This is the way I play my game. There’s no telling how much time it took me to reach this state, as I’ve been working on it, on and off, ever since I got the game back in 2016, and its been through many states and iterations.
I could continue rambling, as this has been my pride and honor for a long time, but for that I will soon post a video of a quick rundown of everything, and to show some of the creations I included, on my youtube channel.
DOWNLOAD LINK
TO INSTALL:
Download the file, unzip, and place it in Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves.
If a pop up appears saing you already have a file of that name, change the slot number. (Ex: Slot_00000222.save ⮀ Slot_00000900.save)
Open your game and enter the save. It’s named “DARKSIMZ1.0”.
Once you have the save loaded, “save as” and create a new file for your own game, so you can use the save again without having to re-download.
! DISCALIMER !
The screens you see above of all the maps uses DerShayan’s and NoirSims’s mod “Sims 4 Fanart Maps”, which honestly I cannot play without anymore.
Even though every lot in this save is renovated by me, I often use inspiration of other creations, as this is my personal save. That includes builds and sims created by lilsimsie, simlicy, plumbella, deligracy and others. Some I use the shell of builds, other I copy completely with a change here and there. They’re just too good not to include, its not my fault.
If you try the save file, please send my way any little mistakes, or bugs that you encounter so we can better it for the next release.
See you laterz. 🤟
