Jumin liked to plan everything in advance, thats how he worked best. So when he had finally visited your apartment for once and seen your two...male...cats, he was incredibly frustrated.

He wanted you to move in with him, hell, you guys were both already planning on moving in together.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that you had two male cats but you had only told Jumin you had two cats, never did you say what sex they were.

You thought it was no bug deal but at this point Jumin was almost sweating, your calm and collected boyfriend had essentially flashed out of existence.

"Jumin you dont have to worry, theyre both neutered" you say with a laugh, you couldnt deny the situation was a little funny.

Jumin still seemed panicked as he looked at both of your cats.

"I cant have them near my Elizabeth, they'll get her pregnant"

Jumin stands close to you, inching closer and closer as your two cats move towards Jumin.

At this point his arms are around your waist and hes hiding behind you, your cats still moving closer to him. Of course they got very close trying to smell him since you usually came hone smelling like him as well.

You call for them to get closer but Jumin hesitates, arms tightening around you.

"Jumin why are you even running away from them?"

Its been a few weeks, you're now settled into an apartment with Jumin.

Yours cats though, werent as settled in.

You were hoping in around a week they'd be able to get closer to Elizabethn Jumin was still hesitant.

Its just they have been under heavy supervision, if Jumin was not there he had a bodyguard watch over all three.

This evening was one where both of you were not going to be at home, so Jumin quickly called up a bodyguard.

"He won't be at home and I currently have to get going to a business meeting, get here as soon as possible. You have the keys to open the door, do not let any of those two cats get close to Elizabeth"

Jumins voice was low and demanding, a little bit intimidating in your ppinion but you didn't mind-

As you take a step forward Jumin looks up.

You'll be honest, it was honestly such a nice view to see three of the people you most love be so close. You felt happy.

You take a few more steps and one of your cat notices that you're getting closer, now meowing at you. You grab him and sit down where he was just resting and isntead put him on your lap.

Now both you and Jumin sat close, one cat on your lap and the other resting on Jumin's leg. Soon enough Elizabeth came in too for some cuddles.

All in all, you looked like a whole family, and you all sat cuddling eachother. One of Jumins arms wrapped around you and you cuddled up to him, phone in hand.

You opened the messenger and quickly sent the photo of Jumin and your cats together before he could demand you to delete it.

So this acquaintance of mine said that Azula being put in a nuthouse was a totally fine outcome for her. Here's her point; No one owes Azula anything (which is true). They could have energybend her and that wouldn't be in the wrong. The psychiatry during the time of ATLA was not as developed as we can brag about in 21 century. Everything Azula underwent though in the asylum was the way people 'treated' mental illnessess back then. And if it hadn't been for this wrong treatment way, we would have no understanding of the normal humane psychiatry we have now. Like it or not but hallucinations can't be treated in a normal supervised hospital without shots even now. It's fantasy. (What?😒) 

And someone who's as unstable as Zuko shouldn't go near even more unstable Azula. Zuko isn't that mature to be able to help Azula yet. He was encouraging Katara to kill Yon Rha and he didn't hurry to bring Azula down to establish peace and order and whatever but rather to put her to her place because of the wIsE WoRDs fRoM UnCLe iROh. Zuko seems to treat Ozai warmer than Azula like Iroh especially according to the comic book 'The legacy of the fire nation"

Zuko had stress with ruling the whole country and holding onto his authority. Stress leads to irritation and anger which is why he shouldnt have come visit Azula in the asylum. Again, he was not against bloody vengeance mere a month before becoming Fire Lord. His stress is partiality Iroh's fault. Iroh instead of keeping drinking tea, should have stayed with his nephew and help him rule at least first few years. Zuko himself needs a long ass therapy after everything he's been through to figure out his feelings towards his sister. Iroh would only continue to turn them against one another. Only then, years later they'd have a normal conversation and Zuko could help her. 

It's only like a half of what she told me but I only translated what seemed the most reasonable to me. What do you make of it?

Please tell this acquitance of yours that I, a mentally ill person who had to read their out-dated, ableist, bullshit opinions, want to punch them so hard in the face that all of their teeth fall off. Modern psychology wasn’t made possible by the barbaric shit that happened in the past - it was made possible because people stopped accepting it as normal. Not only is it cruel and inhumane, it is also unscientific. For example: blood transfusions save lives, but they were super rare and used as a desperate, last resource for a long time because doctors had not yet realized that people had different blood types, so the transfusions would often result in death. They kept studying the subject, and once they figured out what their mistake was, they corrected it. On the other hand, mental institutions of the past (and unfortunately some modern ones) worked under the assumptions that anything and everything they did to their “patients” (victims is a much more accurate term) was justified, no matter how vile AND uneffective. Why? Because they’re ableist pieces of shit who didn’t see the mentally ill as human.

And dehumanization is EXACTLY the problem with how the comics treated Azula. Zuko, and everybody else she hurt, didn’t owe her forgiveness or sympathy, but they owed her basic human decency. “But she was a bad person! Why should we care that she was sent to a place that abused her for being mentally ill?” for the same reason we should care if a black criminal is “punished” by being linched by the KKK, or if a jewish criminal was “punished” by being sent to a extermination camp - they’re not paying for their crimes, they’re paying for being part of a group that is seen as sub-human, and that should NEVER be excused. Somethings are just never okay, no matter who they’re done to.

Zuko’s super fast character growth also falls into the “it’s fucking fantasy, you dumbass”. Hell, their victory falls into this - if you had to chose, realistically, on who would win the war, would you bet on a fucking army that has been winning battles for an entire century or on a bunch of traumatized children?

And again, he doesn’t have to take over all of this shit (being Azula’s legal guardian and ruling a nation) at all, let alone by himself. Iroh saying he’d go to Ba Sing Se was a mistake the show made because fantasy trope dictates the father figure either dies or leaves. The comics could have fixed that by making Iroh come back to help Zuko once he realizes he was struggling. Instead, they doubled down on it and made it even worse. And for fuck’s sake, if you seriously think that something Iroh said about Azula after she attacked him, meaning he was likely angry, is somehow a completely unbiased view of her and that a silly joke made by a kid’s show is some kind of gospel truth that determines what type of people can or cannot be redeemed, there’s just no hope for you (also, who cares if something was said by Iroh? Even the smartest, wisest, kindest people can also be wrong and be unfair to others. Think for yourself, you fucking sheep)

And about the energy bending thing: that is essentially the Avatar equivalent of a lobotomy AND offers a serious risk of destroying Aang’s spirit. This is something that should NOT be seen as a “easy, safe way to fix everything” and people being so eager to have Aang, a traumatized 12-year-old who lost pretty much everything and had to start his life over, take away the ONLY thing Azula has left (and again, essentially lobotomize a mentally ill 14-year-old) is just fucking gross.

anyway, ball pitch, he cancels izukus quirk and turns to look at shinso, his eyes are dim. izuku looks sheepish but also like hes ready to throw down and its an interesting look

aizawa just sighs "you know what? just throw the ball."

anyway aizawa shows the results, shinso is in the middle, izuku second, hagakure is last and sadly shes not getting expelled bc plot reasons – im sorry I have a thing against her shes perfectly valid probably im just still convinced shes the traitor even tho its totally a teacher

he calls izuku out on it but does admit he didnt say you couldnt help eachother, so its kind on him. shinso looks like hes going to pass out with relief

Things I’ll never understand about this fandom

Sakura hitting Naruto is abusive and bitchy and makes her a terrible person for hitting nice guy Naruto who doesnt deserve it

But Karin hitting Suigetsu just for making her mad is completely fine and nobody bats an eye

Sakura only liking Sasuke because he was cool and handsome makes her love for him shallow

But Karin liking Sasuke for the EXACT SAME REASON is completely overlooked simply because he saved her and she has a tragic backstory

Karin only ever mentions Sasuke’s smile which is a part of his appearance, when she layed dying she thought of wanting to see that face once more, in the databook it said Karin stayed loyal to Sasuke in hopes of seeing his radiant smile again, this fandom loves to claim that she fell inlove with him because he saved her but Karin herself contradicts that very argument with her own words, even in that god awful filler her final request to Sasuke was to smile for her, not be happy like some people claim is what she wanted, just smile for her like that one time referring back to the chunin exams, but nobody cares about that and instead try to twist it into something more than it actually was, a shallow crush

Sakura not knowing or understanding Sasuke is such a big deal and why they shouldnt be together

But Karin knew nothing about Sasuke either as their encounter didnt even last a minute yet we’re supposed to believe she fell inlove with him and stayed inlove with him for 3 years just from that ONE encounter? he didnt even acknowledge her, just what scroll she had and then left when he saw it wasnt the one he needed, he made no attempt to check on her or ask if she was ok, yet we’re supposed to believe that this was enough for Karin to fall inlove with him and stay inlove with him for as long as she did, according to this fandom that makes perfect sense, but Sakura who actually was on a team with him and spent several months with him? totally shallow and no legitimate reason to have stayed inlove with him as long as she did

Everyone loves to ask WHY does Sakura love Sasuke

But nobody asks WHY Karin loves Sasuke, WHY Lee loves Sakura, the only one who needs a reason for their feelings to be legitimate is Sakura

Sakura lying to Naruto about being inlove with him is bad and makes her a total bitch for toying with his emotions like that

But Naruto transforming into Sasuke to trick Sakura into kissing him and also manipulate her into hating Sasuke by making him seem like a bad person so that he can have a shot at her is totally fine

Sakura ‘making fun’ of Naruto being an orphan is horrible and a bitch thing for her to do

But Ino mocking Sakura’s forehead, her biggest insecurity which Ino is more than aware of is totally fine

Sakura breaking off her friendship with Ino over a guy is terrible and shes a bad friend for that

But Ino allowing their friendship to fall apart over a guy is fine, Ino not fighting for her friendship with Sakura instead of letting a guy come between them is fine, Ino being a bitch to Sakura now is fine, Ino making no attempt to salvage their relationship at all and just going along with the whole thing is fine, Naruto fought tooth and nail for his and Sasukes friendship regardless of his feelings for Sakura he continued to pursue Sasuke for his own reasons, Ino didnt fight for their friendship in the slightest and let it fall apart but thats just fine, the responsibility is all Sakuras

Sakura covering up the Taka photo was horrible and a bitchy thing to do after all Karin did for them

But Sasuke not mentioning Karin or Taka to Sarada at all is completely overlooked, its Sakuras responsibility to tell Sarada about Sasukes former criminal teammates that she barely knows anything about to begin with, its not Sasukes place to explain this part of his past to Sarada its Sakuras, everything is Sakuras responsibility

Sakura not telling Sarada anything about Karin or Taka is bad

But Hinata not telling Boruto and Himawari about Jiraiya, Kiba, Shino, Sasuke is completely fine

Sakura is bad for being a housewife

But Hinata is literally the only one of her generation who is still a chunin and the only thing we see Hinata doing throughout Boruto is cooking and cleaning the house, and no Himawari is not an excuse because Boruto was literally her age running around the village with his friends just fine, and the old gen running around even younger, Himawari is well old enough to not need 24/7 Hinata supervision so that is no excuse, but its fine for Hinata to be a housewife and just cook and clean house but Sakura? how dare she do the dishes and clean the house

Sakura falling to her knees yelling for Naruto in the Pain arc was weak and pathetic

But Hinata tripping and asking Neji, her now-dead cousin to watch over Naruto, who she failed to get to by tripping on a rock

Sakura going up against Madara alone and getting stabbed was stupid and foolish and ha what a weak bitch

But Hinata going up against Pain alone and getting one-shotted was heroic and atleast she tried

Sakura going up against Gaara and being defeated easily is being stupid and useless

But Hinata going up against Momoshiki and being defeated easily is seen as brave and heroic wanting to save her husband

Sakura being flat-chested is a running joke within the fandom and anime as Sakura being less attractive than the other females with bigger breasts

But for some odd reason, Karin doesnt get this same mockery even though she is much flatter than Sakura is, yet no one says a thing, not to mention a flat ass too, but again crickets

Sakura was a bitch to Naruto for no reason even though he was nothing but nice to her and supported her

But Karin was a bitch to Suigetsu even though all he did was poke fun at her and never laid a hand on her Karin was a bitch to him just for speaking the truth, but thats completely fine

Finally, Sakura is stupid and shouldnt have been with Sasuke after he treated her like shit and tried to kill her and rejected her, shes a bad character for being obsessed with Sasuke after all he did to her

But Naruto can chase Sasuke tirelessly despite being told to leave him alone, Sasuke attempts to kill him multiple times, Sasuke rejects his friendship and calls them his ex-team, calls Naruto an outsider, outright asks Naruto why hes so obsessed with him, rejects Narutos friendship again and still threatens to destroy the entire village and kill him, completely fine and true friendship and true love, all of that is completely acceptable and forgivable, but Sakura? downright blasphemy

I could go on but I think I made my point, this fandoms hypocrisy never cease to amaze me

It's terrible for the wildlife in the area. Studies have shown they can decimate bird populations.

NO OTHER ANIMAL WOULD WE JUST BE LIKE "oh, chill, it's okay to let this animal roam free off a leash" DON'T LET YOUR GODDAMN CAT OUTSIDE WITHOUT SUPERVISION

Why am I raging so hard? Because my apartment complex has a cat that keeps crawling up to the ledge of my second floor apartment and harasses my cats.

This has been going on for a month. In part because at first we couldn't figure out who's cat it was, and I really do love animals so I wanted to feel like I gave the owners a full chance to stop letting their cat out. The other part is that I'm allowing my apartment management handle contact the owners, and I've been trying to only call them when the cat actually appears on our ledge, versus the numerous times I see it running around on the ground floor (our apartment looks out on a grassy walkway between buildings). Between the coronavirus and other issues I'm sure our apartment is dealing with, I wasn't about to go crazy white lady on them. This isn't their fault.

But okay, called them twice to let them know it was going on (two different people, who apparently aren't doing well talking to each other. One of them is new and doesn't seem to have as docunented standards as the other one for handling issues), but there's a second cat that we all know is sometimes outside that belongs to a person in a building on the other side of the complex so we were all a bit confused. However, after seeing that other cat (who is sweetie but really shouldnt be allowed outside either- but I choose my battles and the cats that's harassing mine is my battle) as well as Fiancat pointing out that we can see an apartment across the way engaging with our problem cat, we finally pinpointed who owned our harasser.

I've now talked to two separate staff in management and both have said they will contact the owners I identified (the former staffer was not around today so we couldn't confirm if she had ever gotten ahold of them), the latter today confirmed he will give me an update before leaving today. I've informed him that my next step is to calling animal control, and he's requested that I notify the front office first and let them attempt handling it further. Which I will, because I like this apartment complex, and I haven't been given reason yet to believe management is unresponsive.

However, I need to rant about all this because it's so utterly frustrating. Storm and Indy have fought aggressively twice now due to this other cat being around in a way that I've never seen in the 3 years they've lived together. It leaves fur all over the floor, because they are both agitated as hell about this other cat. We have our windows open almost constantly as I live in a southern state where fall through spring, its nice enough to just leave the window open. So, it's an added stresser of this cat being practically in their space. The ledge is only about 6 inches wide until it gets to our balcony.

The last two times I've seen this cat, it's latched into our screen from the outside, and between it and storm being all up against the screen, my screen is sporting more and more scratches (management will send someone to fix it, but we agreed that it's probably not worth it until we know it's not going to happen again). The screen isnt entirely high quality, so I'm worried at this point that it's going to rip open enough for one to get through or pop out and either way my cat is going to get hurt if it can reach this other perceived threat.

The main cat who seems stressed about it the most is Storm, who has met numerous other cats and dogs in his life, and while he's always been one to keep his distance upon first meeting, has never shown this type of extreme agitation.

Considering how many health problems can be linked back to stress in a cats life, the whole thing pisses me off.

No other animal would be allowed just out and about off a leash. Owners can be fined for dogs off their leashes. It doesn't matter how nice you think your animal is. I've seen dogs run up to another dog on a leash and start attacking, because the dog on the leash showed some aggression as it was nearly blind and felt unsafe. I've seen dogs that are kind get aggressive, because another extra friendly dog come up too quickly. Cats are no different. My cats have always shown a tendency to be agitated from afar rather than engage, but now another cat is walking straight up to their home and being aggressive towards them. If you feel the need to let your cat outside, put it on a leash and keep an eye on it. If you don't think that's a good enough life, then don't get a cat. Fund a farm or something that can help shelter cats. Your cat doesnt not belong in a city apartment complex.

Request: Little Door (Jane Volturi x Reader)

Lugging behind Alec, Jane, Felix and Demetri had become something of a routine. You weren’t allowed to walk around freely: you couldn’t be trusted. You were a wanderer and if you had your own way, you’d almost be impossible to find. You felt like a doll that the Volturi owned, forcing your every move and didn't stop no matter how often you pushed them away to leave you alone. You were acknowledged when Alec insisted that you didn't wander. “Not like i can go anywhere without other people anyway.” You muttered. "Don't start." Felix grumbled and you crossed your arms. You were on the way back from a mission the four had and of course you had to join since they refused to leave you alone. It didn't surprise you, you could barely leave a room without someone's supervision. When you left alone, you learned that someone was always near by.

On this particular day, it had been Jane and Alec who were near whilst you wandered through the rooms, counting the same paintings that got old after the first four days. However, you didn't notice the small door that reached your waist in height. Then again, it was hidden by a table which you had to move. You twisted the knob but frowned when it was locked and sealed shut. "Hey Jane!? Where does this door go?" You called out. "(Y/N), I'm busy!" You heard Jane call back. That was always her answer. Spending time with Alec was always number one priority.

Jane stared down her brother, just as he did his sister when they heard your voice. The two hoping you'd take 'no' for an answer. It was quiet for a moment. "Puh-lease!" Was the loud, dragged out response Jane received who groaned and got up.

You had both hands resting on the door when Jane walked in. "You're being annoying today." You huffed and knocked on the small door. "Promise me that you'll give me an hour of quiet if I do this for you." You nodded. "Done." "Fine." Jane said through a clenched jaw. "I think you might need a key-" you shouldnt have been surprised when Jane grabbed the available corners of the door and tugged, ripping it open. Yet you were pretty surprised but disappointment flooded you when you were met with a slight gap before the opposite wall of the next room. "Wait what? There's honestly nothing?" "Many changes have been made and besides this was probably for maids at some point." "But surely there'd be something to show that. I don't see anything!" "You promised me! I opened it for you now, leave me alone for an hour!" Jane stomped off. 

You scowled at the door before peering in. There was absolutely nothing, there was no need for this door. Still you couldnt help but take another gla-. You froze. You were certain you hadn't seen a trap door previously. Not to mention, how everything seemed a little wider around that door. You couldn't just ignore it. You eyed the surrounding area again, this time reaching for the candle that you sat beside you. Your eyes weren't deceiving you. There was a trap door back there. You weren't fond of tight spaces. However, it would haunt you not knowing what that door would be. You opened it and realised just how bizarre the whole situation was. There was no way that this door could ever fit in between the walls as it did. It was hard to believe anyone would squeeze themselves into such a narrow gap which you nearly didn't get through. You couldn't help but think as you pulled the door open that this was completely impossible. You were certain the dimensions of the space were changing. Impossible things never intimidated you though. As a matter of fact, it only intrigued you more. 

You dropped down and into a dusty corridor the size of a ventilation shaft. Great. More tight spaces. It led to a slightly bigger room, allowing you to kneel down. Light broke through the wooden boards above you. Natural or artificial, you couldn't tell and you just got more confused. You were alone, in the silence with a piece of while chalk. Your question list just seemed to grow.

For some reason, you remembered drawing doors on the walls in your house growing up. You couldn't quite remember why you did it but you couldn't stop yourself picking up the chalk, just like you did many years ago and draw a door big enough for you to crawl through. To your surprise the outline of the door popped out. You crawled out to find you were outside of the castle. Your head was beginning to hurt. You were completely lost as to how the route you had taken had even existed.  You began to walk away and were surprised that you hadn't been stopped. Soon, you were weaving through the streets of Volterra and no one had stopped you.

Your new independence was invigorating but also scared you. It didn't sit right with you that you were able to just walk away. Not to mention that it had been a few hours and you were beginning to want Jane's company. You didn't get much contemplation of the idea however, since you were met with a smirking Alec. "You're far from home, hm?" You scoffed. "Wow. That's just teasing. You've been following me the whole time?" "No. I'm usually out here. If anything, you're following me." You furrowed your brow. "That's a lie. You never leave the castle unless told to." "Maybe your Alec doesn't." "My Alec? What are you talking about?" Alec ignored you. "Are you hiding from my sister?" "Not intentionally but I'm not opposed to the idea. I'm surprised she isn't tearing me a new one for leaving." "I am intentionally hiding from her." There's a sentence you never thought he'd say. "Come again?" "You seem surprised. Your Jane must be very different from mine." "Yours? Mine? Alec, I don't know what you're talking about!" "Come take a walk with me, I'll tell you about it."

When Alec was speaking, you began to piece together that this wasn't the same Alec you knew and there were tiny details of your surroundings that weren't the same. Alec didn't even deny or ridicule your guesses of this being an alternate world. You did a double take. You hadn't turned any corners and had been walking further away from the castle. So how had you both ended up working towards it again? “How can you walk away from something and still come back to it?” You asked, almost exasperated. “Isn’t that obvious? You return to everything when you want to, even if it isn’t consciously.” Alec said. "You know, you're my kind of Alec. I like you more than the other one. He's mean." Alec seemed pleased, taking it a compliment which only supported your theories. 

When you got to the double doors, you noticed that Alec winced. "I should warn you. My sister is very...loud and self centered. I suggest you go along with everything she says. I just nod and avoid her at all costs." Just in that moment, just as you had heard a spiteful screech and Alec muttered "here we go..." Jane stomped into sight, glaring behind her. "I want a new tiara. I want a new tiara!!" The last sentence was literally the scream of a spoiled brat. Thankfully for the two of you, Jane was too busy throwing a tantrum to notice either of you, that or she didn't care.

Alec led you to the throne room and you had the strangest encounter you had ever had. This had definitely been a first that you had seen all three leaders, Aro, Marcus and Caius look excited to see you and squash you in the middle of them for a hug or what was instead, a very tight squeeze. They gushed over you, excited to see you. All three wearing huge grins which was startling to see from Caius and especially Marcus however, not so much for Aro since he could be like that at times. They pulled you away from Alec and even though the conversation started light, it turned into a bicker session between Aro and Caius. The two argued who was your favourite and we're no longer as animated. Instead they were just as welcoming and warm but were easily annoyed by one another, much like brothers would be...though maybe not at their age? You didn't notice Marcus wave for your attention and nodding to an open door, offering your escape. You sent him a thumbs up. Neither Aro or Caius noticing your departure.

You eventually came across the gardens and found Alec there. He wore a small frown giving some glances to the sky that was growing dark. "Are you okay?" You asked him. "You'll be leaving soon." He responded. "... are you sad?" "I'm a little worried. It feels like we won't be here anymore when you leave- even when you close your eyes." Alec said slowly. "I need to go back." "I know...but will you ever come back?" He looked up at you. "I don't know." You twisted under his stare. "I don't even know how to get back." Alec tore his stare away from you immediately. "You know where it is, don't you? You told me the doors here change. You know where it is right now." You asked him. Alec slowly nodded. "Take me there. Please." You touched his arm. 

Alec lead you to the kitchen where there was the same looking doorway. You looked in, the tunnel plunged in darkness. You purposely didn't look at Alec. Everytime you caught a look of his face. He looked heartbreakingly sad. You sighed, unable to overlook it. "Alec, can you not look at me like that." "like what?" "like I'm stamping your heart into millions of pieces." You said, trying to keep your emotions in check. "Don't forget us." Alec shot at you, catching you off guard. "If you don't come back, don't forget us." "I won't, I promise. I won't forget any of this." You promised and pulled him into a hug. It was short and sweet and you climbed in.

The further you got into the tunnel, the louder things became. You heard a man and a woman talking from the floor above you but they were muffled, you hadn't a clue as to who it was. You squeezed your way out and had returned to the room you were in, just as you had left it. It must have been a while because the candle was out but it didn't look like it had ran out, instead it looked like it had been extinguished. 

You heard yelling on the floor above you and decided to investigate the emotion. You got to the stairs when you realised it was Jane you had heard yelling. “Where could they have gone!?” you heard Jane scream. “You’re a tracker, how could you not find them!?” “Jane-” You heard Felix tried to calm her but to no avail. “Shut up!” There was a pause. “What am i supposed to do!? Do I need to go out and find them myself!? Huh!? Answer me Demetri!” You had never heard Jane so angry and once you got to the top step was when you were noticed. Alec was the first to see you, quickly taking his sisters arm and her attention turned to you not to long after Demetri and Felix saw you too. Jane stared at you for what felt like minutes. You weren’t sure what was wrong with her to be screaming so loud and so angrily but you were quickly given a hint.  “Where the hell have you been!?” Jane screamed, marching towards you. You took a few steps back but Jane caught your arm. “Upstairs, now!” There was no room for argument and you heard her stomp her way up after you. she just about dragged you into your shared room and slammed the door. “Where have you been!?” “Here!” “Don’t you lie to me! I am the last person you should be lying to! Are you suggesting that we’ve all just walked past you!?” You didn't answer, shifting your weight. "(Y/N), I asked you a question! Where were you!? We looked everywhere. Demetri couldn't track you. It has been hours. I can't believe this! This is why I can't trust you to be left alone!" "I'm sorry!" You shouted over her, hoping she'd hear it. She did so, she paused, staring at you. You had never apologised. You were like her, you never apologised. Yet you did this time. "Apologise to me by telling me where you've been." Jane said, holding her stare on you. Perhaps she thought you'd disappear before her. "You'd never believe me..." You said weakly. She blinked but didn't budge, it was apparent that she wasn't taking no for an answer. 

As predicted, she didn't believe you. You tuned her out after that, just to spite her. A part of you wished you had stayed in the other world. Before you knew it others had joined the discussion. It got so crowded that you had to excuse yourself because there were so many people. They thought you were mad but maybe one day they'd believe you. At least you had the option to come and go as you pleased. Whilst you thought about the little door and a smile rested on your face.

hp update: time to see how well i remember the various subplots of the O.W.L’s event. i will go through each npc kid an describe their plots, more or less in order of when we see them. 

Jae: slippery to the end. i meet him in sandwich hell detention. pitts is shown once again to have no real power over the kids he supervises because jae is straight up organizing his contraband in order to sell it to other kids specifically so that they can cheat on the tests. he tells you most of this stuff will just get you caught cheating, which is worse than failing, but his clients dont need to know that. pretty good business practice, right? ;y. i agree with him.

penny comes in, looking to buy. again, this is the middle of jaes detention. mc has a overly moral reaction to penny trying to cheat. jae is like hey what the fuck. im trying to make a deal here. 

i dont remember him having another level devoted to him. unlike other kids who the mc tries to convince to study, the dont try this on jae. probably because jaes not scared he just doesnt give a fuck. i do remember seeing him with his head down after the charms exam. 

Penny: penny has good reason to be looking to cheat. SPOILERS her little sister has been trapped in a painting all year END SPOILERS. after she tries to buy from jae and you stop her, she decides not to cheat. i have little moral issue with cheating on a test like this and had less issue with it when i was in high school, but its true that cheating is much more likely to end in getting caught when the test proctors have magic, so still a wise choice. you study potions with her on her level. 

Andre: charlie calls you in for emergency friend services; andre has not studied at all for his exams because he says hes going to be a professional quidditch player and doesnt need to. you have a butterbeer with them in hogsmead and do a friendship level with him, trying to convince him that he shouldnt blow the tests off.

 in the cutscene beforehand, charlie is there sitting at the table with you. as soon as the level starts he disappears. we get a nice talk about non-academic magical careers. when the level ends i dont get any friendship exp with andre for some reason?? at the end andre concludes “well, shit.” 

Rowan: already detailed most of this one. we get a study party for all the kids in your house. rowan has studied herself to death. chiara knows whats up, takes you and rowan out to the forest to pet perma-wolf form werewolf pup borf for awhile. it helps. 

Tonks: we meet tonks at zonko’s joke shop. shes freaking out, upset, becuase shes worried shes not going to get good enough grades to be an auror. mc tries to cheer her with jokes and pranks. doesnt help. ben shows up and says something about helping other kids cope with pressure. 

her plot coincides with tulips, ends with some sneaking into filches office to simulate the skills an auror would need: sneaking and turning permanent records into rats. it works! she gets her mojo back. >:D

Tulip: T girls study sesh is in the library. tulip wants to prank people instead of study. tonks is like no actually... must take this seriously. tulip complys but gets a little upset. at age 15, she doesnt know what she wants to be when she grows up yet. all she knows is that she doesnt want a boring ministry job like her parents have. its very relatable. i ultimately choose to follow tulips lead and stay undecided at the end of the event. a good solidarity moment. 

Barnaby: barnabys plot was especially hard hitting for me because i could see it in motion. earlier, during the charms exam, i saw him just doing the confused animation while the other kids did their lumos’s. at the end of the test, you can see him putting his head down on his desk. jae does this too, but i didnt see him actually do it. 

later, during the transfig exam, i see the weasel on his desk suspiciously not changing shape. and there was the line earlier in the year where he said he didnt know what owls everyone was studying...

his level is in the woods. all 3 weird animal loving kids are hanging out in there, as they do; barnaby, liz, and charlie. barnaby is upset because hes worried he wont make good enough grades to become a magizoologist. i forget his exact words, but they seemed both really sad and really relateable, it was something like “im not very good at taking tests...” it was like admitting to your parents that you dont want to go to the party because you dont have any friends. barnaby knows hes the dumbest kid in the friend group and thats an awful feeling.

They're Ontario's top-billing doctors, but for years their identities have been kept secret. Until now

Hes Ontarios highest billing doctor: Narendra Armogan, an eye specialist with a bustling Mississauga practice, has charged the Ontario Health Insurance Plan an average of about $6 million a year, the Toronto Star can finally reveal. Armogan billed OHIP more than $42 million since 2011 for providing services and treatment to his patients, according to Ministry of Health data. His name and those of other high-billing doctors can now be shared publicly for the first time following the Stars successful five-year quest to pull back the veil of secrecy on physicians who receive the most from the public purse. Seven years of ministry data obtained by the Star identifies 194 doctors out of the 31,500 across the province whose annual billings from a high of around $6.9 million to a low of $1.4 million placed them in the Top 100 at least once between 2011 and 2018. Nearly half are ophthalmologists or radiologists. By comparison, the average ophthalmologist gets about $724,000 and the average family doctor, about $307,000, according to the most recent figures from the Canadian Institute for Health Information, an independent research organization. These costs come out of their billings. In this story, the first of a series examining the data, the Star is seeking greater transparency on how health-care dollars are spent in the province. Armogan, who was the top-billing doctor every year except in the 2016-17 fiscal year when he ranked third, did not agree to an interview. In one of a series of emails to the Star, the ophthalmologist said he does not concern himself with the ranking of physician incomes. What matters to me is the care I give to my patients, wrote Armogan, who operates out of OCC Eyecare, with its main clinic located in an industrial area near Pearson Airport. I save sight. Armogan said in his email his overhead expenses include at least 50,000-plus square feet, over 70 staff and probably more equipment than any other practice in Canada. He added his patients approval ratings consistently exceed 95 per cent. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW With an aging population and ever-increasing demand for health care, all physicians need to not only work harder, but smarter and this is what we do, he wrote.

I put in long hours, am passionate about my work and constantly striving to improve. In collaboration with outstanding colleagues and caring support staff, we have built an eye-care practice that we believe provides top-quality, patient-centred care and does so in a way that allows us to reduce wait times. Of the 194 top-billing doctors in the ministry data, Armogan is one of about 180 currently licensed to practise. Two doctors have died since appearing in the top ranking and 11 have either resigned or had their licence revoked. The name of one doctor, who is independently fighting to stay anonymous, remains secret. Most of the top billers, including Armogan, have no record of cautions or discipline with the College of Physicians and Surgeons the regulatory body for Ontario doctors. There are some with histories of overbilling or professional misconduct. In 2017, the college ruled that Kitchener anesthesiologist Kulbir Billing could practise chronic pain management only under supervision for a year, disciplining him for professional misconduct related to improper record keeping, sterilization and overbilling of a pain treatment called nerve blocks. That same year he billed OHIP almost $3.5 million, making him the eighth highest biller. In late May, while still being investigated by the CPSO, Billing resigned, agreeing to never again practise in Ontario. Stefan Konasiewicz, a neurosurgeon working at five private pain clinics in Greater Toronto and Hamilton, ranked second in 2017-18 with a total of about $4.6 million in billings to OHIP. Last year, he was featured in the Stars Medical Disorder investigation, which revealed how doctors criss-crossed the U.S.-Canada border while keeping their medical histories secret. It found Konasiewicz had been sued for malpractice in the U.S. at least 12 times following surgical mishaps that left patients severely injured or dead. Patients in at least three of the lawsuits received settlements totalling $1.3 million (U.S.). Konasiewicz also faced disciplinary sanctions in three states, before returning to Canada to practise. Those disciplinary sanctions in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Texas were all imposed in response to a 2010 Minnesota medical board decision on what it concluded was the unprofessional and unethical treatment of four patients. Chatham ophthalmologist Christopher Anjema, who billed about $4.1 million to OHIP in 2017-18, has been a top biller every year in the data provided by the ministry, ranking as low as sixth and as high as second. He is also the subject of a current investigation by the CPSO, which is examining his standard of practice. In the meantime, hes agreed that when he performs cosmetic blepharoplasty (surgery sometimes referred to as eye lift or eyelid tuck), he will only do it under the guidance of a clinical supervisor acceptable to the college. Konasiewicz, Billing and Anjema did not respond to repeated requests for comment through letters and phone calls from the Star. In publishing data about these doctors, the Star is revealing how tax dollars are spent and pressing for greater accountability in a cash-strapped health system. Physician compensation costs Ontario about $12 billion annually, and amounts to about 8 per cent of the entire provincial budget. You want to make sure that people who contract with the government are behaving in a way thats ethical, that theyre not double billing, theyre not doing unnecessary work, said Christine Van Geyn, Ontario director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. The majority of them in every field are behaving ethically. But of course you want to catch the people who arent. Ontarios Sunshine List makes public the names and salaries of public employees earning $100,000 a year or more. It includes some doctors, such as those who work in community health centres and for boards of health. But the majority of physicians are not on the list. Michael Decter, who served as deputy minister of health during Bob Raes NDP government in the early 1990s and has advised various governments on health care over three decades, doesnt see why something similar shouldnt exist for physician billings above a certain threshold. There is no reason that the public shouldnt know where their tax dollars are going, he says. We publish tens of thousands of names of people who get paid by government. Doctors get paid overwhelmingly by government. I dont know why theyd be exempt. In April, the Ministry of Health said it was starting discussions with the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), which represents the political and economic interests of the provinces doctors, about making all physician billings publicly available. This has required a legislative act in other provinces, but ministry spokesperson Mark Nesbitt said it does not require one in Ontario. Brian Golden, the Sandra Rotman Chair in Health Sector Strategy at the University of Toronto and the University Health Network, said releasing a Sunshine List for doctors would be more about public intrigue than public interest. He also thinks it could cause in-demand doctors in smaller communities to cut back on hours if we get to the point where we start to embarrass physicians with posted billings. There are physicians who work extreme hours because they are the only provider in their community, Golden says. I dont think we want them to cut their provision of health care because of this. Dr. Sohail Gandhi, who recently became president of the OMA, did not agree to an interview with the Star. He said in an email that physicians are not government employees but independent contractors with small businesses. Most doctors in the province including all those in the ministrys Top 100 get at least some of their compensation under a fee-for-service model, one of three ways they can be paid from OHIP. (They can also earn additional money both privately and publicly.) Billing under the fee-for-service model is more common with specialists and less so with family doctors, and made up more than half $6.7 billion of all physician billings in 2017-18. Under this model, doctors bill OHIP for each service they provide using a unique fee code. This is done on the honour system. Mobile users click here to view how doctors get paid in Ontario There are more than 8,000 fee codes for every procedure, test and consultation a physician can perform contained in a public document called the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees. Each fee code has its own unique number, price and description. They range from fee #E126, laser surgery for premature babies with an eye disease called Retinopathy of Prematurity ($1,245 for both eyes), on the high end, to fee #G005, a pregnancy test ($3.88), on the low end. Fee codes are set through negotiations between the Ministry of Health and the OMA, and are supposed to take into account how difficult a procedure is and how long it takes to perform. The billings submitted by physicians to OHIP arent salaries, Gandhi wrote in his email, rather they are gross billings out of which each physician must pay all the overhead costs necessary to run their practice and provide patients with the care they need. Overhead costs can include everything from salaries of professional and administrative staff, to office space and supplies, medical equipment and ongoing training. In a 2018 decision to release the OHIP billings to the Star (and later appealed to the Supreme Court), the Ontario Court of Appeal noted that billings are business information, not personal data, and not a reliable indicator of the individuals actual personal finances or income. For example, Dr. Ron Linden, CEO and medical director of the Judy Dan Research and Treatment Centre in North York, and among the top 100 billers since 2011, estimates his overhead expenses amount to more than $1 million a year, almost half of his 2017-18 billings.

His clinic uses hyperbaric chambers to treat wounds. The treatment, which can help save limbs, requires the use of expensive equipment, as well as several staff, said Linden in an interview. Linden, who has a spotless record with the CPSO, said he doesnt think physicians billings should be made public. The problem is that the public will misunderstand it or misread it, he said, adding he thinks physicians could also be targeted by local criminals. According to a 2012 article in Healthcare Policy, a Canadian peer-reviewed journal, doctors self-reported average overhead ranging from 12.5 per cent in emergency medicine to 42.5 per cent in ophthalmology. But, according to Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario executive director Marcia Kim, overhead costs can be as much as 50 per cent for ophthalmologists, who specialize in diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders, as their equipment needs to be replaced as often as every five years. Its hard to tell exactly how much physicians are spending on overhead. The ministry doesnt track these costs, spokesperson David Jensen said, as physicians are independent contractors. Thats not the only place where oversight is lacking.

A 2016 report by Ontarios Auditor General called oversight of the physician billing system weak, and found serious issues, including that the ministry doesnt even bother to go after a lot of doctors with questionable billings because its too resource-intensive. An internal Ministry of Health audit dug into questionable billings of the 12 top billing doctors that same year. The audit flagged concerns involving seven doctors over upcoding, charging OHIP using fee codes for more expensive procedures, or charging for services that werent provided. But little has been done to improve the situation since a followup report came out in December 2018. Gandhi said the OMA sees the current system as structurally appropriate, but agrees that the audit system could be improved through proper resource allocation, bilateral work between the Ministry and the OMA, and a comprehensive implementation of recommendations from a 2005 report by Justice Peter Cory on Ontarios medical audit system. It suggested, among other things, that a new and independent board be responsible for audits, and the Schedule of Benefits be revised and interpreted flexibly. Gandhi declined to comment on individual billings. But he said physician billings reflect the needs of the growing and aging population. As the demand for health-care services continues to increase, Ontarios doctors are responding and delivering the care Ontarians need. Their priority is to respond to the needs of patients, meaning treating and caring for more patients, not less. These growing demands put pressure on negotiations between the province and the OMA for a new contract. After a four-year battle that went to binding arbitration, doctors finally got a new fee agreement in February, effective to March 2021. A three-member board of arbitration rejected the provinces request for a hard cap to be placed on the total amount physicians can bill the province annually, and eliminated unilateral fee cuts for all doctors. But it did call for a working group to eliminate $460-million worth of inappropriate medical services. That group is currently finalizing its work, according to the OMA. Another hot-button issue during negotiations was the big pay gaps in medicine. A September 2018 report from the OMA acknowledges income relativity disparities between specialists such as radiologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists known as the Big Three and others such as infectious disease specialists, neurosurgeons and geriatric physicians. Two months later, specialists from eight highly paid disciplines, including the Big Three, voted to break away from the OMA, unhappy with the way the organization had been representing them in contract deliberations with the province. The Big Three also made up a large part of two smaller groups of doctors who, along with the OMA, tried to block the Stars legal bid to get details of the top billers. The next phase of arbitration, which the OMA is currently in the midst of, will look into how the pool of money for doctors is divided, and the gaps between different specialties. This controversial process is known as achieving relativity. The list of the Top 15 billing doctors from 2011 to 2018 includes six ophthalmologists, two radiologists and three cardiologists. Two OB-GYNs, one anesthesiologist, who was working in a private pain clinic, and one internal medicine specialist make up the rest of the group. Radiology procedures have a lower average fee code price, but a very high volume of services, according to the 2016 Auditor General Report. Radiologists doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating patients using medical imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs have overheads of 70 per cent or higher, according to a written statement from the Ontario Association of Radiologists, in response to questions from the Star. Almost 50 per cent of our services are delivered after hours on a 24/7/365 basis, the association wrote, adding compensation reflects additional training, which takes a minimum of 10 years after undergrad. Overhead costs for cardiologists, who diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the cardiovascular system, are also significant, added Tim Holman, executive director of the Ontario Association of Cardiologists, in an email. This imbalance between specialties plays a part in a serious gender pay gap in the field, says Ivy Bourgeault, professor in the Telfer School of Management and the Institute of Population Health at the University of Ottawa. Thirty-nine per cent of physicians in Ontario are women, according to the most recent figures from CIHI. But only nine of the 194 overall top billers are women less than 5 per cent. The fee codes for procedures are the same regardless of the gender of the person billing, Bourgeault notes. But procedural, task-based specialties like ophthalmology and cardiology are in general better paid than more cognitive specialties such as pediatrics or geriatrics. Women as residents are channelled into the more cognitive, lower-paid areas either implicitly or explicitly, she said, calling for a review of the fee codes from a pay-equity perspective. The more highly remunerative specialties have fewer women in them and in the more poorly remunerated specialties you have more women. Gandhi responded that pay equity is an important issue. The reasons for this are not completely clear and investigation into causes is the first step in addressing it, he added. These kinds of discussions about health care spending have traditionally been behind closed doors. But Kathleen Finlay, CEO and founder of the Toronto-based patient advocacy group, the Center for Patient Protection, believes more transparency in billings would contribute to public debate about where health-care dollars are going. Transparency helps to build the trust the system must have if its going to meet the needs of patients and families, she wrote in an email. And, to be honest, if we dont get a better handle on where all our health-care dollars go and everyone is able to measure that return the system at some point will become unsustainable. I use aluminum sulphate, although you can acidify your soil with sulfur, oaks leaves, pine bark and needles, peat moss, and use of an acidified fertilizer, etc. Your local garden center can recommend the best thing to use. If you want to go strictly organic, peat moss is your best bet. Aluminum sulphate is being used for my blueberries. It has done a good job.

heya i think i have given you advice before, So is your rabbit indoors i asume get your rabbit to do its business in its cage you dont really have to have a litter box my aunty did't but here is some advice from someone with a bit more exsperiance in rabbits then me:Rabbits usually take well to litter training, although some flexibility may be required by the owner. Rabbits naturally pick one or more toilet areas, and owners can take advantage of this in litter training. First a suitable litter is needed. You rabbit will probably like to lay in the litter box and may even nibble on the litter, so something absorbent and safe is necessary. Rabbit urine also has a strong odor, so something that absorbs odor is ideal. Do not use clay or clumping litters, or cedar or pine wood shavings. Organic or paper-based pellets and litters are a good choice (brands include Critter Country, Eco-Straw Pellets, Gentle Touch, Cell-Sorb Plus and Yesterday's News - see Top Alternatives to Cedar and Pine Shavings for more options) Some owners simply use rabbit pellets as litter. These are economical and safe, but are not a good choice if your rabbit continually eats extra pellets from the litter box and/or is overweight. For litter pans, cat litter boxes work pretty well, although smaller pans such as cake pans may work for smaller rabbits. If your rabbit tends to back right up to the edge and deposit outside the box, some creativity may be required. A covered cat box is a good option, or a dishpan that has higher sides can work as well (an lower entry can be cut into one side). The larger size of corner litter boxes might work well for smaller rabbits too, as these usually have fairly high backs. If your rabbit tends to tip the pan or kick the litter out, try a heavier litter. To start, confinement and supervision is the key. If a rabbit is allowed to urinate and defecate wherever it likes from the beginning, it will be much harder to train. At first, keep your rabbit primairly in his (or her cage), which should be fairly small at first, with a litter pan. Place a litter box in the cage, and note where you rabbit eliminates. He (she) may start using the box, or may be pick another corner of the cage as a toilet. If this is the case, then move the litter box to the area your rabbit seems to prefer. Flexibility on litter box placement may be necessary both in and out of the cage. Once your rabbit is using the litter pan in the cage, allow the rabbit out of the cage in a limited area. Provide a litter box within this area, and perhaps make it enticing by placing a a treat or favorite toy in the box. Watch your rabbit for signs he is about to urinate or defecate (they usually back up and lift their tail slightly), and try to herd him to the box immediately (if your rabbit is very calm about being picked up it should be okay to place him right in the box). If your rabbit uses the box, give the rabbit a treat (food, toy, petting, or praise) right away. If you notice your rabbit tends to head to one area to do its business, consider putting the box here. Accidents will happen, and punishment has no place in training a rabbit. Your rabbit will absolutely not be able to make a connection with physical punishment and elimitnating outside the litter box. If you catch your rabbit in the act calmly and gently take him or her to the litter box immediately. But, if your don't physically catch your rabbit urinating or defecating, it is too late for your rabbit to make the connection. Just clean up and watch your rabbit a little more closely next time (clean the spot diluted vinegar, or a commercial pet stain/odor remover). The key is to get your rabbit to the box before he goes, so a trip to the litter box every 10 minutes during playtime can be helpful. Over time, your rabbit will probably develop a preference for using the box, and amount of freedom you give your rabbit can be increased. You may need to provide more boxes as you allow your rabbit acces to more space (rabbits may not go far in search of a box so have them handy). Again, if your rabbit repeatedly chooses one place in he room to eliminate, consider putting or moving a litter box there. Try to work with what your rabbit naturally wants to do, but if the location they "choose" is inconvenient, you can try putting a litter box there for a while and then gradually move it to a better spot. Sometimes, placing a bowl of food where you don't want them to go works too. The process sounds daunting, but usually goes pretty smoothly as long as the owner works with the rabbit's natural tendencies and provides undivided attention to the rabbit during it's free time in the beginning. Establishing a routine with your rabbit will also help. I remember my first garden. The first thing I learned was a lot of respect for farmers and for my mother. Now I have a garden probably a tad smaller than yours. Here in the Northwest, where we get more rain than sun, weeds are a problem. Keep pulling, don't let the weeds get a good start. At one time I thought that being on my hands & knees pulling weeds & mucking in the dirt was good therapy after a day in an office. I still believe that but after I reached senior citizen status my back disagreed with that notion. Next year try mulching with bark or sawdust or leaves (never tried newspaper but I'll try it). DO NOT use pine needles for mulch. Tried that one year and found out that they are highly acidic and my veggies hated it. Try to use little or no chemical bug killers. Liquid fertilizer is a good idea. Soon you will be harvesting and will be really proud of your efforts. Enjoy, there is nothing better than a home grown tomato.
