since i mentioned it in the group, here are scans of nobuteru yuki's concept art book for the Escaflowne film, specifically the stuff that was cut from the scene between young folken and young hitomi at the beginning. (i'm just using the translate function for ease here.) even without the rest of the scene, it's the reason i introduced the film to my partner. it's a really stirring moment, really sets a melancholy tone before even knowing what unfolds... then it just becomes more and more painful hahaha. i love it.

A voice, mechanical in nature, booms from the snow as the large-sounding feet stomp twords the ebony hedgehog stuck in the storm of cold. Who would dare abandon such a useful lifeform in the cold where he could die? Neo was a cruel creature, but not above caring for one that needed it. Red eyes shimmer and brightly glow through the suffocating snow as the glow falls onto shadow. Standing in a way that looks menacing despite neo being entirely nonviolent right now. He was scanning the others biodata to get a diagnostic on how bad the condition was. To see how long he’d been out here freezing into a hedge-sickle.

What was worse? Is creator would do this to others. And it made him feel artificially sick knowing someone else would follow his creators footsteps. Another reason he despised that old bastard.

Left Outside

Shadow's slow trudge through the snow comes to a halt (not that he's walking very fast in the first place) as soon as he hears a voice.

After some thought, he turns and watches the glow, his feet buried so deep and his air shoes so thoroughly frozen that he knows better than to try and run away before the robot can reach him. The hedgehog shudders. Some of the snow that is accumulating on his long quills falls to join the rest. His chest fur is thick, but not enough to save him from the cold. Not even with his arms wrapped around himself.

Slowly, slowly, Shadow wonders if he's having some weird cold-induced hallucination. It's been years since Sonic was "Neo Metal Sonic". Years. So what is... why is...

For Neo, Shadow's biodata indicates that he's been out there for the past hour and a half. He's removed an inhibitor ring to allow his chaos energy to flow more freely, clutching it in one of his hands. Said chaos energy is vaguely starting to weaken, but not fully wane.

His systems estimate that Shadow can probably last another half hour, maybe - maybe - hour before his body starts shutting down on itself.

Hello :) So, I was listening to a song in my YT playlist *cough this cough* and I couldn't help but wonder.... What might (Sources) Eclipse do/how might he react if he caught one of his crew staring at/admiring him as he walked by? XD Like, they try to be polite/professional and be subtle about it but...yeah lol

That song is also on my playlist for Eclipse, so you know, glad we can agree that that man needs some sugar poured on him. Oh he loves it! He is so vain and craves the attention and adulation. If he's in the mood for it he might get a little flirty. Maybe he wants nothing more than a reaction, maybe he wants a little more. But he'll always tease, always bask in it. "Like what you see?" and "My eyes are up here" type of stuff.
