wheeee my first steddie bingo fill!! i have so many of these started and finally finished one tonight 🤗🤗 this one is also partially inspired by this tiktok!

In late October 1986, following everything, Steve and Robin move to Indianapolis.

And one night, in the early morning hours after another round of upside-down induced nightmares, Steve finds himself checking in on Robin’s soundly snoring form in her room of their small two bedroom apartment, leaving a note for her about where he’d gone (just in case), slipping on his shoes, and heading the five or so blocks to their local 24 hour grocery store.

He’s done this a couple times before; the walk helps to clear his head and by time he gets there, he can get the shopping done. Two birds with one stone. Makes his sleepless nights work for him..

The double doors whir open before him and he grabs up one of the mismatched baskets, nodding politely to the woman manning the one open register as he passes.

He wanders the aisles, drumming his fingers on the metal handle of his basket to the somewhat familiar new Fleetwood Mac song that’s echoing down on him from the speakers embedded in the stained ceiling tiles, when he rounds the corner to the most unbelievable sight.

He literally cannot believe what he’s seeing.

At first Steve thought there was no way. That the frizzy head of unkempt waves before him had to belong to someone other than the one person he wanted it to.

But no. The person’s own basket is dropped unceremoniously onto the floor to whisk their dark hair up into a bun.. and there’s no doubt.

The scarred cheek, the dark brows, the same strong nose.

It’s Eddie. The newest, most bat-chewed member of their party, who sped out of town with his uncle as soon as he could (which is more than fair, honestly; he wasn’t going to get anywhere in Hawkins), is dancing. In the middle of the bread aisle. To Fleetwood Mac.

Steve lets him continue, the new bun pulled up in time for Eddie to jump easily into one of the goofiest looking dances he’s ever seen.

He spins around dramatically to the other half of the aisle and snatches up a box of macaroni, using it as a microphone to sing along about “sweet little lies” while he waves his arms wide and steps his feet in time to the beat.

Steve lets him finish, not wanting to interrupt the highest form of art unfolding in front of him, and doesn't speak until the song fades out, “Stevie Nicks, huh?”

All of Eddie’s limbs spasm in shock, “Jesus H. Christ!!” He clutches a hand to his chest and looks down the aisle towards the interruption. “Steve?! What–”

Steve was already on the move though, scooping Eddie up into a crushing hug. “So this is where you ended up! Why didn’t you tell anyone, man?” he questions, setting him back down but letting his hands linger on Eddie’s upper arms; as if he’d disappear if he let him go. 

Eddie seems to come back into himself once his feet touch the floor, his own hands coming up to clutch onto Steve’s arms and a bright smile on his face.

“Steve? How are you— Why are you— You—” Eddie huffs then frowns, starting over again with a new smile, “You’re here!”

“I’m here!” Steve grins back, giving Eddie a shake before shuffling him back into another hug, “You’re here,” he says, softer now.

Eddie’s arms come up around Steve’s waist, squeezing him back.

“What have you been up to, man?” he asks when he finally lets Eddie go, “Besides early morning dance recitals.”

“I’m managing a Sam Goody around the corner from here, actually.” he says, picking up his discarded basket.

“Very cool, very cool.” Steve nods, “And you’re here at 3am because…?”

“I maaaayy also bartend a couple nights a week.” Eddie picks up the box of pasta he’d been using as a microphone earlier and shrugs at it, dropping it onto his basket.

“No shit? How’ve we not run into you before?

 “Beats me, Stevie,” Eddie shrugs, ”Maybe you’ve been getting drinks from those heathens at Searchlight instead of from my humble abode.”

Steve winces.

“I knew it! Traitor!”

“How could I be a traitor if I didn’t know??”

“If you were really my friend, your gut would’ve told you to stay away from Searchlight and their gargoyle of an owner.”

Steve snorts out a laugh, “Gargoyle? What’s wrong with Brad?”

Eddie’s face does something weird. “And you’re on a first name basis with him too! Double traitor!” He smiles again, but it’s flat.

“I hereby vow to never again set foot in the forbidden lands, my liege, you have my word.” Steve says, holding his hand up in fake pledge.

Eddie looks at him in bewilderment, then presses his lips together futilely, a loud raucous laugh bursting through. “Where in the..” another laugh, “Where’d you get that kind of vocabulary, Harrington?”

“The shitheads, of course,” Steve chuckles, “They managed to wrangle me into a game or two after you—”

Eddie’s smile falls back into the flat imitation of itself instantly. 

Steve clears his throat, “Uhm, mostly Erica’s games, actually. She’s got Henderson, Robin, and me contracted into playing with her ever since Starcourt, and lemme tell you man, she’s ruthless.”

He smiles fondly to himself, “Yeah she is.”

Steve watches him think back for a moment before Eddie’s gaze is on him again, studious.

“Listen, Ed, It was really nice to see you,” he says, reaching into his pocket for an old receipt he’d remembered he’d stashed there a couple nights ago, “Lemme give you my number? Maybe we can meet up again soon?” 

Eddie grins, reaches into his basket and returns with a small pad of paper, a pen shoved unceremoniously into the wire binding. “Sure Stevie.”

Steve takes the offered paper, pulling out the pen and flipping past Eddie’s grocery list to the next page.

“There, this is the number to our apartment,” He moves to hand it over, but pulls it from Eddie’s reach at the last second, “Do you promise to call?”

Eddie rolls his eyes, but concedes, straightening up and placing his right hand over his heart, “I, Theodore Wayne Munson–” 

“Theodore?”

“--Hereby swear to use the precious information given to me this day, November 9th 1986, in a timely manner.”

“Timely,” Steve scoffs as he relinquishes the notepad, “Yeah, sure.”

“A Promise is a promise Steve-o; and Munson Doctrine dictates a Promise may never be broken.” Eddie stuffs the pad and pen into his back pocket, “Though one notable Munson has never kept one in his life.”

“I bet.”

They stand there for a moment longer, before Steve steps away, “Well, the groceries won’t buy themselves, talk to you soon?”

“I promise,”

Steve’s still backing away down the aisle, “Good, you better,”

Eddie shoo-s him off with a chuckle, turning off toward the opposite end.

As soon as Steve’s turned and taken a step around the end toward the next aisle, he gets a feeling in his gut.

He gets them sometimes, pangs of worry, of anxiety; a clenching stomach that he’s just recently been told is his literal gut feeling.

And he gets one now, walking away from Eddie in this supermarket at three in the morning.

Eddie, the man who saved his brother in the upside down, Eddie, who only let Hawkins drive him out of town when his Uncle was threatened, Eddie, who would have endured it forever if it’d meant his only family left in the world wasn’t inconvenienced by the moving process.

Eddie, who it was only after he’d left that Steve’d realized the gut feeling walking though the Upside Down at his side wasn’t nerves about what was going on at all; that it was the same swoop he’d gotten after “Good Luck.”, “For your modesty, dude.”, “That Steeeve Harrington was actually… a Good Dude.”, after the goddamn “Don’tcha, Big Boy.”....

That he totally had feelings for that loser metalhead who helped save the world.

But the Munsons had gone, they were off somewhere and weren’t telling anyone where that somewhere was.

And now he’s here. A grocery aisle’s length away.. And he’s going to let him go?

No chance in hell.

So, Steve turns on his heel and jogs past the bread and pasta and, “Eddie, hey! Eddie, wait.. Wait…”

Those damn doe eyes turn to him, “Y’wanna get out of here?”

After a thorough ribbing for using that line to get him out of the store, Eddie agrees, puts his couple things back, and follows Steve out the front doors and down the street toward the nearby park.

“So.”

“So.”

“You got me out here, what’s up, Stevie.”

Steve huffs a laugh, his stomach doing flips even though he told it to cut it out at least six times by now, “Dunno, just had a feeling I shouldn’t let you go that easy.”

Eddie’s quiet for a moment, and Steve worries he’s already said too much.

“You really know how to make a guy feel special.”

Steve glances over at him, and is relieved to see a smile on his friend’s face. 

“We missed you,” He says, nudging him with his elbow “I missed you.”

Eddie nudges him back, “How could you miss me? You barely knew me.”

“I knew enough,” Steve says defensively, “You’re a part of the official party, Eds. But you were gone before I could get to know you more.”

“Yeah,” he scoffs, “As if you’d actually want to hang around with the Freak.”

“Stop that man; You don’t know me either, not really.” he scoffs, “Not the real Steve. Not the one who wanted to get to know you, wanted to hang out with you, be friends with you…” Steve trails off, not quite knowing if he should say what he’s been wanting to since he found out Eddie and his uncle had skipped town.. Should he risk it all right now and spill his guts? Spill why it was they told him to turn around a go back for him?

“And I’m telling you that you wouldn’t.”

“Ed—”

“You and I both know how that would go, Steve. It’s why we left in the first place. I couldn’t get anywhere in that town and neither could you. Any of you as long as you were my friend.”

That stops Steve in his tracks, watching as Eddie takes the handful of steps left to sit on a bench just off their path in the park proper.

Eddie sighs heavily as he sits down, stretching his legs out in front of him and his arms over the back of the seat, hanging his head back to look up at the stars.

Steve finally follows, sitting half-turned toward the other man.

“Can I talk now?” Steve asks after a couple breaths.

All he gets is a short shrug, so he does.

“A lot about me has changed since ‘83, Eddie. And not just because of the upside-down shit either, though that was a part of it.

“If I had a time machine, I’d do it all again, exactly the same. But I think I would have wanted to try to get to know you sooner.”

Eddie scoffs, and Steve continues, “You think I’m bullshitting, but it’s true, man; the three most important people in my life are people who, at one point, I thought–or would have thought–to be some of the most annoying types of people in existence.”

He brings his hand up into Eddie’s line of sight, counting off on his fingers, “Robin - band geek, Dustin - annoying know-it-all nerd, Max - she’s that kid that skateboards everywhere, who does that?? Just walk!”

Eddie huffs out a laugh but stifles it just as quickly, like he doesn’t want Steve to know his little speech is working. 

“Every single one of the rest of those little shits annoys the crap out of me on a daily basis, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.”

Steve looks over and sees Eddie turn his face on his shoulder to look at him. He wonders if he should say the next part, if he even can.

“With you–” he starts, looking away from those dark eyes. “And feel free to hate me after this but I uhm–”

Shit, this is harder than it seems.

He opens his mouth again to start, but closes it again just as fast; he does it again before he feels a hand on his shoulder. 

Looking back, Eddie’s sitting up straight now, wide-eyed and expectant, “Go on..?”

Steve lets out a long breath, hanging his head with the movement of his lungs.

“When you left,” he starts again, lifting his head but not turning back, “When I found out you left, I felt hollow. Didn’t know why, and for a long time after I just rationalized it as missing the friend I could have had in you.”

He stops again, his stomach twisting tight.

“I feel like there’s a ‘But..’,” Eddie coaxes.

Steve turns, sits back, and faces Eddie. “But I talked to Robin–”

“Of course.”

“Of course,” he concedes, matching Eddie’s smile momentarily. “I talked to Robin about it and I wasn’t looking forward to a friendship with you, Eddie. I was looking forward to something more than that. Something that I didn’t know was possible until the summer of ‘85, and something I never thought I’d ever get to experience.

“And again, I didn’t even know what it was I was feeling until you were gone, when the possibility of having that with you was gone with you.” He looks away again, not wanting to see the inevitable rejection in Eddie’s face.

“The bottle to the neck, the vest, the ‘Big Boy’ thing, how I couldn't keep my eyes off your lips even though we were in the middle of literal hell..” Steve laughs sardonically, He makes the mistake of looking back at Eddie then, and finds his face flushed red in the light of a nearby streetlamp.

“I think I’ve had feelings for you for a while, Eddie. And it took you leaving for me to realize it.”

Eddie’s eyes are wide, mouth agape; his face is still tinged pink.

“Is that– is that alright?” Steve asks, looking concernedly at the rapid rise and fall of Eddie’s chest. “Are you okay?”

“‘Is that alright?’ he asks.” Eddie rolls his eyes, grinning, “‘Are you okay?’ As if I haven’t been told the best fuckin’ news in the whole damn world.”

“Reall– Really? The best. In the whole world.” he can’t keep the smile off his face despite his attempt at sarcasm.

Eddie laughs, “In this moment, it’s the best thing anyone’s ever heard in the history of forever.” 

There’s a moment’s pause, then Steve decides to be brave for the second time that morning; “Could I maybe kiss you about it?”

“Sweetheart, I’d be offended if you didn’t.”

317 was the only area code in indianapolis until 2016 btw

saw a cherik edit with silver springs by fleetwood mac yesterday and it feels like it has opened a hole inside my brain because yes!!!! time WILL cast a spell on you erik!!!! and you won't forget charles!!! i always think its hilarious how they call each other "my friend" "old friend" left and right and then proceed to have the least platonic relationship EVER but their friendship is so essential!!! like charles is the first person outside of his family that erik learns to know and care about (at least in the movies) charles was there, not just his first friend but his first MUTAN friend!!!! the amount of respect he holds for him even tho he doesn't agree with his opinions and world's views, how charles probably has a special place alongside his mom in erik's memories because he loves him so much. that scene in days of future past where erik is like "all those years fighting against each other, charles. to have a precious of them back." charles was ALWAYS there in the back of his mind, the only person he loves that's still alive, that nothing or no one could make him stop loving him even tho erik himself doesn't believe he has the ability to love or at least to love something or someone without breaking and ruining them because he thinks he's inherently bad. he's full of anger because he's full of grief and charles is this constant reminder of how he CAN, in fact, still love even after everything that happened to him, and it probably terrifies him down to his bones. idk im just having an erik brainrot thinking about how in the movies cherik has spent more time away from each other than together. how they're so silly and were always trying to force the other in their own way instead of meeting each other in the middle, because at the end of the day they're just two different (and extreme) sides of the same coin, they do want The Same Thing!!!! but are too proud and stubborn to admit the other might have a point. and in the middle of all of this, the frustration erik feels because no matter how much he tries to pull charles away, to hurt him with his words and actions, charles is STILL THERE for him. he hates the way erik does things and feels so angry and frustrated all the time they're in the same place but there's nothing erik can do that would ever question charles' love for him. its just there. unshakeable and unbreakable. timeless. and erik doesn't understand how someone so broken and flawed like himself can be loved like this. that whole thing about him having to use his helmet so he wouldn't feel the unconditional love charles has for him makes me SICK to my stomach. they love each other so much and wasted so much time fighting with each other instead of fighting together side by side for their people.

- autistic (we are starting off strong here)

- vocally stims vines sometimes (“road work ahead? uh yeah i sure hope it does”, “look at all those chickens”, “i wanna be a cowboy baby”) (he does that last one in front of rick a lot and rick never understands it’s from vine)

- rick and michonne let him use the garage but it still drives them up the walls when he jams out with friends

- doesn’t understand the superbowl but because his dad likes it he makes an effort to watch it with him because no one else will

- jump scares any unsuspecting victim when they turn the corner of a wall

- to calm down whenever he’s stressed/overwhelmed/overstimulated he’ll either go swimming or ask his grandparents to come over (they own a farm) to ride some horses

- allergic to peanuts (not pecans because they had to eat some when they met Gabriel so)

- hates anything deep fried except for fish

- terrible in any form of skating

- roller skating? keeps slamming into the wall

- ice skating? uses those kid-balance-crutches-thingys

- he just has terrible coordination

- obviously gets worse when he looses his eye

Hey Elwood, I'm just asking if you have any series or movie recommendations. The recent things I've enjoyed have either ended or I'm not into them anymore, and since you know a lot of fandoms. I was wondering if you want to ramble about any of your favourites.

Omg hiii! Im so glad you asked! I love this question and thank you so much for asking! Im happy you came to me for this question! So above you can see most of my fandoms but i’ve been in fandoms for a long time so let’s talk about a few of my favorites!

(they will include where they are streaming but if you don’t have the streaming service then im sure you can find them somewhere else)

starting with the ones on Netflix!

band of brothers and the pacific (you can also find these on HBOmax with the two other series Gen kill and master of air but I don’t necessarily like those) you can find these two tho on Netflix if you’re big into history these are some of the best reenactment shows i’ve seen! Plus they are mini series so 9-10 episodes a peice.

next is transformers. Now you this one tricky because these movies will be off Netflix soon leaving the 31 of December so watch these when or if you can, alot of people don’t necessarily like these movies (the micheal bay ones) but they are my personal favorites.

Next is kaleidoscope, this series was fun to watch it’s another mini series and it’s a heist type show, but the only thing is the episode are named after colors and Netflix will give you an order to watch them in no matter the order of the episodes it’ll kinda tell you what happened leading up to heist, only rule DONT WATCH EPISODE WHITE FIRST.

next is yellowjackets, this show is absolutely amazing/insane season 1 is the only season on Netflix currently but there is a season 2 the show is about a a girl soccer group who plane crashed in the woods and there time there for about almost a year before getting rescued. It shows what happens during their time there and years after getting rescued (there’s a teen and adult story line of the girls as well) and it’s so interesting I would highly recommend this one. (You can also find this on sling or parmout for free)

next is Psycho, one of my favorite older horror movies of all time, it starts Anthony Perkins and one of the better movies for the time, it came out in 1960 (there have been remakes and a show but I don’t recommend those ) there are also 3 other movies after this one starting Perkins so I would recommend those to! (So the first 2 psych movies are on Netflix but will be leaving the 31 of this month)

next is peacock

yellowstone. This is by fair one of my favorite series it recently just ended but don’t worry it has alot of spin offs as well(you can also find this series on sling for free) , it’s got 5 seasons and the acting and storylines are amazing! Now i will warn you there is a r*pe secen somewhere in season 2 or 3 I can’t remember exactly so becarful with that. But the show is still really good and so are the spinoffs.

next is amazon prime

First is fallout for a game to show adaptation it’s so good and im begging season 2 to come out sooner, it has Ella purnell in it it’s a great introduction into fallout and it’s just all around a great show, the effects and acting chefs kiss and it recently won an award as well!

next is Daisy jones and the six it’s a book to show adaptation and it’s also a mini series if you like stuff like fleetwood mac and 60’s -70’s vibes you will definitely enjoy this. Plus the book/show is heavily kinda based around fleetwood mac. And Elivis Granddaughter also plays the lead female character Daisy.

So you might have to pay for this next one sadly or have a premium subscription to sling butt(im also sure you can find it somewhere else without having to pay for it)

The Blues brothers! Starting Dan Ackroyd and john beluish! This movie is so great and just makes me so freaking happy, it’s funny, it’s got great music in it and the acting?? Chefs kiss. I would’nt recommend the second one though.

Hannibal(the TV series, you can find it on pluto TV and Sling TV for free) it has 3 seasons but the cinematography, acting, storylines , characters are just a masterpiece that it leaves you wanting more literally. (here’s an overview :Gifted criminal profiler Will Graham has a unique way of thinking that allows him to empathize with anyone, including psychopaths. But while helping the FBI pursue a particularly complicated serial killer, he decides he could use some help and enlists the brilliant psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. The two form a partnership and it seems that there is no villain they can't catch together, but Lecter harbors a dark secret. His own brilliant mind has gone to the dark side and he has more in common with the criminals they hunt than Will could possibly imagine)

Disney plus

so the first show is Darkside of the ring, this is another history based show but it’s about wrestling and the dark side of it and each episode is about different wrestlers/ their families telling their stories. It’s so interesting

(One thing that got me into this was another Recommend movie called “The IronClaw “you can find this movie on HBOmax it’s about the real life wrestling story of the Von Erich family and the sad story behind the. TW for S*cide , Alcohol, and mental health for this movie and show above it)

Next is The entire X-men movie series, i grew up with them and they genuinely really make me happy. (I don’t like the dark phoenix though😭)

SNL. Now we all Know of SNL but I would recommend the first couple of seasons! The early seasons are the best in my opinion (you may have to buy them or again you could find it somewhere else) but definitely recommend, this show helps calm my anxiety when it’s really bad.

so we start, of course, at Eddie's trailer:

Eddie accidentally knocks into an old record player, starting up a Fleetwood Mac album of Wayne's that snaps Chrissy out of her trance (from the ceiling obv)

she screams, loud and long, and Eddie screams with her because what the fuck was that

they sleep in the trailer's living room that night, every light on, because holy shit (no music, tho, bc Chrissy doesn't know if it was that or just Eddie's voice that pulled her out)

Eddie cannot sleep that night, so he gets his acoustic guitar and plays that Fleetwood Mac song quietly to cope with whatever the fuck just happened

Chrissy doesn't know what she's supposed to do, so she goes home the next day to find Jason, her mother, and Chief Powell all on the porch, convinced she'd gone missing

she doesn't tell them where she was, ofc, but she falls asleep that afternoon for a hot girl nap and has another nightmare that basically tells her it's coming for her. first reaction: call Eddie, ask him to come get her

when they get back to the trailer, Max Mayfield is waiting for them, asking why she heard so much screaming the night before

High school boys just give me the ick. They’re disgusting.

I only have some high school guy friends and they’re kind of different from the others. I have Benny, Don, Slater, Tony, Mike and Kevin. There are other guys in my school but I don’t really talk to them, like I say “hi how are ya” and that’s it.

Benny is my best friend since kindergarten. Our parents are friends and every where I go he is there. I used to have a weird crush on him ( I still don’t get why I liked him in 8th grade but thank god I don’t like him anymore ). But we are really close to each other. I know everything about him, and vice versa.

Don instead is kinda my big brother that I’ve never had. Being an only child, he thought I felt lonely so he always stayed with me. He is sweetly overprotective of me, and it’s obvious that he loves me. Don’t get any idea! This is all platonic and he is an enormous play boy. I don’t know how Shannon likes him. Ew.

Slater is my reefer friend. My bestie. The one who makes me feel comfortable whenever I smoke blunts or weed. Kevin too. Pickford tho is the hottest of the whole world. Like man how can I smoke weed and not confess my love to you-

Tony and Mike are my friends and they are literally the only ones I can have a decent conversation with.

Now getting to the main point. I’m a picky person. If I want to have friends, I study them before having that intimate relationship with them. Instead the girls are a different subject. I talk to all of them. Even if some of them are bitches, I still respect and adore them.

The one who I seriously can’t stand at this school is Pink. He thinks that he can fool every girl in this school or in this town. Fuck off man. Arrogant son of a bitch. (I actually respect his mother very much.)

I hate him because one day he wanted to kiss me. Bro had never talked to me before and one day he thinks he can fucking kiss me? Nahhhhh man you got the wrong girl. I fucking slapped him. And since then we had this mutual hate relationship.

Another person that I “hate” is David Wooderson. He actually isn’t in our school anymore. And he is older than all of us.

He was my first and only true love. He was my first kiss.

We were very close friends. At the beginning I used to get weed from him and from then we just clicked. He would always meet with me, stay with me, smoke with me, go to parties with me, hang out with me and on and onnnnnnn. God damn. He was the best guy I had ever met. He was my true AND ONLY LOVE. But all of a sudden he started acting weird.

Everytime I used to hang out with Benny or Slater, Wood would always get upset. He would say things like “You don’t hang out with me anymore” or would straight up act mad at me. I didn’t know if he was jealous or something. But still, that doesn’t justify his behavior. Yes we had kissed before. As a joke. And yes, I loved him. But he didn’t know this. I’ve always been jealous of the times he hung out with girls. He was a fucking player, god damn he’s still a player. And yet, I never behaved like that. So, one day after I was out with Benny at his house, I go to meet Wood at his place. I knock at his door. He opens it after a long time, and I see him with disheveled hair, no shirt on, and a naked girl behind him. And he says : “Who tf are ya, man?”

I didn’t even respond. I turned around and went away.

That day I had thought of fucking killing myself. I felt so heartbroken and I felt treated like a fucking toy. I got back home. I had cried all the road to my house. Once up to my bed room, I couldn’t fucking breath anymore. He had been treating me like shit for like forever and I had always respected him because he was my friend. I had his my feelings from everyone for three years because I didn’t want to break the relationship I had with him. And he treats me like shit?

I was panicking. I was in shock and so tired of life. I got up and started searching for weed but I didn’t have any. Or i couldn’t find any, I don’t know. But I remember going downstairs to the phone and calling Slater. He answered and I was crying and saying how I so needed weed and I couldn’t find any. He was so worried behind the phone, I could only imagine his confusion.

After not getting any solution to my problem, still crying and panicking I closed the phone.

I got to the kitchen and I was searching for something that even I didn’t know what. I get a knife from a drawer and I don’t know but I think I stabbed myself with it. And I screamed. I cried and I screamed.

I don’t know what happened after that. But I know that when I woke up, in front of me was Slater. He was fucking crying and on the phone. He was saying something but I couldn’t hear anything. I was dazy as shit.

After that day, I was a different person. Slater got closer to me. And he was always worried but I indulged to drugs and weed, getting my mind out of shit.

I started picking the friends I hung out with and the things I did. I couldn’t trust anyone anymore. And David Wooderson was nothing to me.

Only Slater knows what happened between me and Wood. All the others don’t know a thing. Or i think so. Slater might have told to Benny something about it because I noticed how Benny started ignoring Wood and talking about him.

How can a girl go through so much and still be alive? Only God knows it.

You woke early, light beginning to stream in from the curtains you’d forgotten to shut the night before. You were preparing for a smuggling run today, but you didn’t have to get up to start packing for another few hours, and you needed all the rest you could get. Tess had gotten into a dispute with Robert and his men, which had turned the whole start of the week on its head. 

Rolling over, you expected to find Tess beside you. Upon seeing her side of the bed empty you paused, anxiety flaring in your chest. She always woke you up when she left or at the very least left a note, and she almost never woke up this early– 

The smell of coffee snapped you out of your thoughts. You could feel a smile tugging at your lips, for you couldn’t remember the last time you’d had coffee, but Tess had traded one of Joel’s guns for a small container of it on her last run with Joel (he still hadn’t figured out where the gun had gone, and both of you intended to keep it that way). 

You contemplated rolling over and going back to sleep, but the scent of the coffee was going stronger by the minute, and you knew you wouldn't be able to escape the grip the fantasy of a hot cup of coffee had on you. 

Finally finding the will to get out of bed, you threw on one of Tess’s jackets and made your way to the kitchen. But where you expected to see her standing at the counter waiting for the coffee to be done, there were only two empty cups waiting to be filled, and the continuous gurgling of the brewing coffee. 

“Why are you up so early?” You heard, and turned to see Tess approaching. 

“Why are you up so early?” 

“Couldn’t sleep,” she said simply, making her way to the empty cups on the counter. 

“I couldn’t fall back asleep without you, so…” you trailed off. Though you hadn’t been awake for long you could sense that she was off a little, somehow. Her tone was sharper than usual, and she moved around the kitchen as if the spoons and cups had done something to piss her off. 

She didn’t respond, just poured both of you cups of coffee and slid yours across the counter. 

You sat on the stool across from her, delighting in every sip you took of the coffee. Tess, however, seemed rather unphased by the delicacy. “Are you okay?” you asked. 

“Of course.” 

“I don’t believe you.” 

“I’m fine,” she stated a bit sternly. “I’m just ready to get the fuck out of the QZ.” 

You nodded, standing, done with the whole conversation. “I’m going to go start packing.” 

She didn’t stop you, didn’t ask why you were packing already, and at her lack of concern you grew increasingly disappointed.

Around an hour later, Tess came into your shared bedroom with her backpack, beginning to pack supplies with you in silence. Weapons were typically stashed under the bed, and as you observed her backpack you noticed that she’d already packed your limited medical supplies. 

“How’s your eye?” you asked, breaking the silence. A black eye was the result of Tess’s run-in with Robert’s men, something you still weren’t completely over. 

“It’s fine.” 

“Fuck, Tess,” you swore under your breath, tossing your backpack onto the bed. “What the fuck is wrong with you today? Did I do something? Because if I did–” 

“No,” she interrupted, slightly astonished. “No, you didn’t do anything at all.” 

You nodded, releasing a slight breath of relief. “Okay. Then what is it?” 

She sighed, averting her eyes as she began to pack some of her clothes. “Do you ever think of leaving?” 

“Leaving what, the QZ?” 

“No,” she said carefully, “leaving me.” 

You were taken aback. You stepped towards her, placing a hand on her shoulder, and after a moment her gaze shifted and she finally met your eyes. “Why would you ask me that? You know I’d never leave you.” 

It took her a moment to respond. When she did, you could hear the tension in her voice, the weight of her words coming down on you. “But you might want to, someday,” she said. 

“What are you talking about?” 

She briefly ran her fingers over her black eye, hesitating. “Things have been rough, lately. Resources have been more scarce, I’ve been going on more runs with you and Joel. I’ve just been noticing how much of a toll it’s taken on me. I look so much fucking older, you know? And then the black eye… and you’re younger, you’re more beautiful, and I just can’t help but think that you deserve better.” 

You shook your head, momentarily at a loss for words. You hadn’t been expecting this at all. She was so gorgeous, your Tess, and you knew it so thoroughly that it came as an earth-shattering surprise that anyone would think differently, even more disheartening that Tess herself would think of herself so lowly. “First of all, I think your eye looks badass,” you started, and if you were correct you thought you saw the hint of a smile flash over her lips. “Secondly, you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I’d never want to be with anyone else but you.” 

She nodded, but then a second wave of dismay overtook her. “But we’ll never have a life here. I can’t give you anything like the old world. You’re involved with a fucking smuggler, so we’ll never be safe enough to, I don’t know, adopt a kid or something. Not that we would have to–” 

“I don’t want the old world,” you interrupted. “I just want you. I don’t care about the rest of it, I don’t care whatever future is laid out for us. If I have you, that’s all I need.” 

She suppressed a smile, giving you a quick kiss before going back to packing. “You’re so fucking sappy sometimes.” 

“Oh, you love it.”

Nico Hcs bc I have wayyyy too many

He likes fruit snacks. Not bc hes gay or anything he just likes fruit snacks. That’s it.

He can play violin like his mother, Maria. He also learned the acoustic guitar at camp (Will likes to suggest the Star Wars theme track for him to play and Nico rarely does so for him). He also can play piano bc I think it goes with the whole “I grew up in the 30s/40s” thing.

The lord of darkness, controller of shadows, the ghost king is so ticklish. Him and Bianca used to have tickle fights and when Will tickles him he feels melancholy and happy at the same time.

This hc is very popular, he can sing beautifully. But it doesn’t end there, he can only sing good in the shower and he sounds decent at the camp fire but since hes 15 going thru puberty, theres lots of voicecracks.

As much as everyone loves the hc that Bianca would accept him for being gay if he could still visit her, I disagree. They grew up in the 30s/40s and you all saw how Nico was closeted for 4 years before being outed. He obviously grew up in a place where it was heavily discriminated against and that included his home so I think Bianca would be hesitant/taken aback at first but after some time, she eventually accepts it (I like to think this because of how she saw Achilles and Patroclus interact in Elysium and started to reconsider her homophobic acts).

After Will introduces him to 80s rock, he is invested and involved and geeking out about music more than Will atp. He also likes calmer artists tho like Fleetwood Mac and MAYBE Lana Del Rey. Idk tho.

His first job would totally be a haunted house operator. Also his dad and Will would force to get a job to build social skills too lol.

Everyone thinks his eyes r creepy and dehumanizing but if you actually, like, LOOK into them carefully, his eyes are full of a lot if pain and misery but they are kind and gentle as well. Also, after meeting Will, you can start to see some sparkle in his eyes.

His favorite types of movies are the ones with big plot twists. You would think his fav genre is horror and he likes it but he actual fav genre is actually like tender and loving romance and coming of age movies. But as I said, big plot twists. Like Sweeny Todd, The Village or Pan’s Labyrinth. Idk if he would watch those specifically but movies like those. Especially Sweeny Todd, tho, he would watch that.

He is so soft for his little sister (cannon) and he gets her any candy she wants from a nearby store or gas station when she’s on her period. And usually, Hazel doesn’t tell anyone bc that how it was in the 30s/40s but Nico can see the change her mood for a few days straight or here a pad opening in the bathroom before bed or something. He also doesn’t just go like “bought you chocolate for ur period” and hand it to her in front of everyone, no. He is actually very understanding after living with Bianca for decades and gets her a red show box or something and puts candy, a heating pad and a new stuffed animal every time in there for her and sets it on her bed bc Hazel’s last, like, a week as a personal hc. So yeah, he’s very soft and loves his little sister rjrnrbbebe.

ONE MORE, some solangelo for the heart ig. He likes to personally teach Will how to play the guitar bc he wanted to learn and Nico helps him tune his guitar and all of that. aw, you missed me :) that’s good to hear, i was worried you almost thought of me as a ‘tumblr writing assignment’. anyways, for the next rant, i’ll give you some creativity. i wanna hear your top three (or less, or more) MESSIEST heroes moments. don’t be shy in the hatred/confusion, give me a full on dissection of the best of tim kringe.

Hi!! You know I love a rant lol, thanks 😂 and best of Tim Kringe? ohhh my god. WELL. Trying to not just say ‘all of season 3’, lol, but season 3 is a MESS and hard to watch. S2 gets a lot of flak but it’s mainly just fucking boring (the feudal Japan stuff is interminable) and I’ll give it some leeway bc writers strike etc. and it has goooood Nathan angst so yay. Season 3 is just fucking Wasted Potential City tho. Like they keep kind of bringing up the kernels of ideas that COULD be interesting but then just dropping the fucking ball or never doing anything good with them or leaving stuff unresolved for no reason or just veering wildly off the road and it’s just ????

Not to turn this into a Sylar rant again lol but this is the point when all of the stuff surrounding him just gets truly stupid. They invent a new retcon backstory for him to try and make you feel sympathetic (infamous ‘my dad sold me to one direction and The Chain by Fleetwood Mac is my trigger’ lol), they flipflop around on him like hell, the Sylar is secretly a Petrelli wait no he isn’t stuff is at least kind of fun in an ‘Angela causing drama and problems on purpose for no real reason’ way lmao but it does lead to him killing Elle when she was in no way involved in any of that and I love her so I’ll never forgive him sry ANYWAY… (he already forgave her for her actual actions of helping the company push him into becoming a killer but then he kills her over something that’s nothing to do with her?? Make it make sense!)

they have the stupid bad future plotline which goes nowhere, is never explained or resolved and is just baffling, plus the return of Gruff Badass Future Peter, my fucking BELOATHED (I’m that rarest of things a five years gone hater tho, lmao), sylar is nice?? In the future bc he has a kid and he can control The Hunger, but Peter like, catches The Hunger from him and now he’s A SCARY KILLER AHH (for all of 2 minutes before they just like, drop that completely and then never mention it again. Much like the rest of the clusterfuck that is s3.)

Okay so all of that mess but actually The Hunger top one Tim Kringe moment, it just truly makes no fucking sense as a way to try and explain why it’s actually not poor Sylar’s fault he’s a serial killer lmao. It’s truly just nonsense pulled directly out of their asses with no relation to what came before it. He already has a motive, I understand why he does what he does just fine! He’s fine as a villain just stop this!! Stop. This isn’t healthy. Lmao

Anyway. Next up how Nathan’s villain arc makes no sense. I’ve said this before but I can absolutely see villain!nathan working as a concept and I would have enjoyed it, he does already have that deep self-loathing of his own powers and just does not really understand what the ‘right thing to do’ is, understanding morality on an innate level is a real struggle for him and I actually love the scene where he asks Peter, he of fierce moral convictions and Nathan’s only real arbiter of morality, what he should do. He’s so sincere in that but future!peter just says ‘do the right thing’ which is no help at all lol, anyway so having him get to the place of helping to oppress people with powers would not be a stretch!

But they do this bizarro world version of it where Nathan buys into his dad’s plan (I get it, Nathan has always been subdued/controlled by his father and the ‘I made you’ scene makes me shiver too. He’s truly just a tool to Arthur.) but then. Then peter scuppers that plan (which is to CREATE MORE powered people with the serum or whatever), Nathan is so angry that Peter knocked over his Vats Of Stuff that he commits some very (IMO) OOC violence on him with a pipe, then turns around and does a complete 180 and now instead of saving the world by making more people with powers because he believes that’s the only way to stop bad things happening - I believe that he’s made himself believe that - he now suddenly wants to lock up all the people with powers instead. Again, I understand how he could get to that point theoretically, but it’s like they did a mad libs telephone version of that plot arc! It’s like the season is missing a bunch of scenes that make those actions make any sense!!

Also don’t get me started on his death, like I enjoy s4 for all the angst it provides that hinges on this, but they do the truly stupidest thing possibly imaginable… they have established Claire’s blood can bring people back to life already, she’s IN THE BUILDING and they still try and?? Get Matt to try and put Nathan’s thoughts into Sylar’s body instead?? I understand Angela might be momentarily crazy with grief but Noah is complicit, should have some common sense and ALSO WAS LITERALLY BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE WITH CLAIRE’S BLOOD. It makes you want to shake everyone involved by the shoulders lmao

Listen I do actually love this show and even s3 has some great stuff to chew on (flashbacks to Petrelli family/Arthur backstory drama, Company founders flashbacks and lore, delirious religious mania Nathan who’s having mental breakdowns live on television and hallucinating) and like I said, a lot of stuff that COULD have been great, so that’s why all this mess annoys me so much lol.

Also for a sin that DOES belong to s2, both Niki’s but ESPECIALLY DL’s deaths are absolute bullshit, and DL deserved so much better Jesus Christ
