Devara Movie Review: Skip the Plot, Watch Jr NTR Dance
With Jr NTR as the titular hero and Saif Ali Khan as the menacing villain, Devara promises action but delivers more entertainment in its catchy dance tracks.
⭐⭐ Rating: 2 out of 5. Sneha Jaiswal (Twitter | Instagram) Is it a flying fish? A leaping frog? A mythical merman? No, it’s Jr N.T. Rama Rao’s Devara! Who springs out of the sea in his introductory scene, like he is Aquaman himself, without Jason Mamoa’s God-Bod. You’d think Devara is a demi-god like Amarendra Baahubali, destined to be the king of a great kingdom, but no, Devara is a village…

yeah alright I watched Devara, and while I am going to refrain from commenting on the movie as a whole except that it was tarak treat, boy, I do need to comment on that tension between bhaira and devara because well it left a long-lasting impression than the movie itself.
the fight scene: also known as, the scene where I, a village head, and you, another village head, fight one-to-one for the weapons, and by fighting not just punching each other into the next weekend, but touching our foreheads and taking the time to tie our wrists together because? I don't know too? why? to make this fight harder and conclude quicker? are you sure?
the (after) fight scene: the 2 minutes of I, a village head who just beat you, another village head, in a fight, but here is my hand, hold my arms and lean on me, sorry did that hurt?
(I'll definitely bet my money, that during the years (if) Bhaira ever wins, he extends the same moment of support for Devara)
If I wasn't so beaten up by work I would have written a devaira? bhairadev? fic (I still might, who knows)
saw @scarletsabers-blog's post and had to dive in because this is a vision imo

Onyx Storm RECAP ch28-32
Let's gather some lore and resume the journey...
WTF is happening in ch28?
Violet is back in Battle Brief where she's telling the Scooby Gang about her adventure in Deverelli.
Sawyer says that the second deal Courtlyn offered Violet was to "...trade your and Xaden's...services...for weaponry." The word services is doing a nice job of vagueing things up here, especially since it was used in the last chapter as well.
Devara makes Violet analyze the Battle Brief map so she'll stop gossiping with her friends, and we learn the venin have changed strategy and are moving into position in anticipation of the Aretian wards falling. Yikes.
Violet is back in overachiever mode, training with her squad and reading her father's books that she picked up from Narelle. The Scooby Gang are all in research mode, bringing books to read while they watch Signet Sparring in the pit.
Xaden is back from his respite in Aretia, and he & Violet talk down the bond. They're not even flirting...it's more like wistful yearning. He's either reading her thoughts or she's pushing her thoughts into him or...something. Lots of theories out there. (Personally I think Xaden's a full inntinnsic, but it's hard to say because he's been fully reading Violet's thoughts at certain moments since Fourth Wing.)
Carr is running Signet Sparring today, and shit goes sideways when he allows a fire-wielder from Second Wing to terrorize a second-year on the mat. He screams at her to "Wield!" and she drains the mat underneath her. Carr kills her immediately. Violet thinks she turned right there and I tend to agree. She was scared, not vicious.
Does this mean there's a problem with the wards after the rune hijinx? Maybe? We don't know how difficult it used to be for someone to drain for the first time when the wards were at full power. Xaden turned while the wards were down, & we don't know where/how Jack turned.
Did you notice the mention in this chapter about how they're "looking for tales of dark wielders cured by love, or good deeds, or dancing naked under a full moon after drinking the venom of a rare snake found on the farthest isle during a lunar eclipse..." LOL thank you Bex for calling out every fan theory and shooting it in the head right in front of us.
WTF is happening in ch29-32?
Mira has been on leave ahead of the next phase of the journey.
Quest squad is changing a bit. Violet adds Maren and Trager, a griffin flier with field medic skills. Aaric shows up in a swirl of fog and confronts Halden, telling him he won't allow the Continent to fall to dark wielders because Halden can't control his temper.
What the fuck is going on, exactly? Violet & the rest of Quest Squad are flying back to the southern isles to search for more irids (and a solution to the Xaden is Venin problem). They're supposed to visit 1 isle and return to Basgiath to report, but Violet has decided to defy orders and search all the isles before they return home. It's gonna be a long trip!
Where are they headed? First they're going to Unnbriel, the isle dedicated to Dunne, the goddess of war & strength. Chapter headers have described this place in terms similar to Basgiath. Everything is a challenge that begins & ends with blood.
--
Everyone arrives on Unnbriel after eight days of flight + rest. The squad lands in a remote area away from cities, so they can allow soldiers to approach them and set up a meeting with the queen.
Violet & Mira have a super awkward convo about Mira's trip to visit their grandmother. Lilith & Asher were estranged from Grandma, but we don't get an explanation of why.
Unnbriel soldiers show up at dawn to confront the squad. Violet selects Xaden, Cat, Aaric, & Dain to go with her into the city for a challenge and (hopefully) a meeting with the queen.
The squad shows up at the temple of Dunne, where every priest & priestess wears blue robes and has...silver hair. (Wow) Violet spots a girl about 10 years old with hair just like hers, brunette fading to silver, and is desperate to understand more.
The high priestess of Dunne appears to get the challenge started. She slices a cut on Xaden's arm. Then she slices Dain's arm too. She says some cryptic shit to Violet about "I still see us among your potential paths...Dunne will accept you. It is not too late to choose Her." Then when Violet replies "I choose him" (Xaden or Tairn, pick one) the priestess slices Violet's arm as well.
Battle Royale!
Three fights, the weapon of choice is daggers to give Violet the advantage. Violet has her opponent down but the woman won't yield until a lightning strike (!!) hits the arena. (I am almost 100% certain Violet caused this strike but we don't know how she did it. Best guess is...Andarna's power?)
Xaden wins (thanks to an assist from Violet), Violet wins, Dain gets knocked unconscious. Best of 3 makes Quest Squad the winner here.
The queen was Violet's opponent in the match, and she'll only negotiate with the person who bested her. She tells Violet they have no dragons on their isle. When Violet asks for an alliance to help fight the dark wielders, the queen tells her she'll find the cost too high.
Because the cost...is dragons.
Note: this chapter included some super interesting clues about Dunne and Violet's silver hair. I'm planning to unpack all of that in a future dedicated post which I may or may not remember to come back and link here. 🫠

I HATE Pushpa (the character)
Pushpa is a movie that was released during the pandemic and became a massive hit. Even Bollywood stars commented on the movie. The songs were memorable and the song Sooseki got around 100 million views even though the second movie hadn't released yet.
It seems South indian Cinema is getting more appreciated with films like Bhaubali, RRR and KGF Chapter 1/2 and Devara might even gain more attention due to Jr. Ntr's presence. (Which I'm super excited about I loved him ever since I was young, him and Ram charan were one of my favorites so RRR was a pleasant surprise)
I'm just disappointed that Pushpa's story is the one thats getting this attention.
Pushpa has good BGM, the setting is cool and cinematography can be considered good and Allu Arjun is always appreciated but the story is where it lacks.
Can I understand it? Yes, I've been watching TollyWood movies ever since I was 1. I was singing Gabbar Singh songs when I was a toddler. I understand what logic Tollywood tries portraying is it always right? No but its enjoyable and times were different we're evolving we want more complex and meaningful stories now Bahubali and RRR gaining attraction are examples that South Indian movie industry is evolving finally!
So imagine my disappointment when I see Pushpa the next great Tollywood film.
"Pushpa Raj is a self respecting young man who takes pride in his work. He works at a mill, but leaves it when his owner doesn't like his attitude outside of work. Pushpa goes for Red sandal wood cutting in the forest. Pushpa lives in a village with his mother Parvatamma, and is the illegitimate son of a local rich man." That is the story according to imbd.
You'd think the movie gives more context about Pushpa nope. IMBD really summed it all up and thats the problem. Pushpa's character can be summed up in a few words and there's not depth beyond those words in the movie itself.
The thing that makes this film detestable is the main character Pushpa he is not enjoyable whatsoever. It's like one of those Dark Romance ML's but they tried mixing in a few funny liners and tried making him a sunshine character as well but failed?
He's not funny I feel bad for his sidekick Kesava actually no. I like Kesava better than Pushpa Himself. He looks like he has actually meaning and depth he has relatable goals and is actually funny or seems to have some sort of personality. I wholeheartedly ship him and Srivalli's friend actually go Side characters!
Now lets compare 2 films Maari 2 and Pushpa which might seem random but let me explain
Maari in both the first one and the sequel was a gangster however do you know why i like him better than Pushpa? He has redeeming qualities he has morals like he kills bad people but doesn't want to sell drugs because he knows that can make innocent people succumb to horrible diseases like his best friend their situations are very different however Maari is seen as a morally gray character just like Pushpa is portrayed as. Maari also has morals when he kills beeja's brother for attempting to assault Anandhi's sister. He's doing something 'bad' killing a person but he essentially redeems it because of why he does it. He also gives good advice when she talks about no one wanting to marry her because she's ruined maari says she isn't an object to be ruined and its not wrong to wait how long to find a guy that understands that.
He's a troubled guy with not normal values but I can sympathize with him and actually root for him because he's a good person.
A more accurate example KGF Rocky is on a very similar path to Pushpa he only relied on his mother his whole life until she died while in Pushpa his mother and himself suffered humiliation. Pushpa was often beat up Rocky was also beat probably even more. They both started at the streets and slowly climbed up wanting money and power. Pushpa only smuggled and framed and fought. Rocky outright killed but I still like him better than Pushpa do you know why?
Because he has character Rocky's backstory is more compelling wanting to fulfill his dying mother's wishes of not wanting her son to die miserably without money like her even if it meant becoming a bad person? Hell yeah. Also similar to maari he has limits he has certain morals, clear cut morals. in the first KGF movie he outright stops traffic for a mother and her son who wanted to get some food but were unable to because of the traffic and gave her hard advice. That the world isn't gonna stop for you its harsh and not lenient and that we need to MAKE it stop. We have to put in the work and not just hope someone will always come along. This gives us insight into his views further developing his character.
Pushpa's story is he was an outcast because he was an illegitimate son and was unable to have his father's last name? So he makes his name Pushpa Raj. He disrespects his mother at times despite her being the only one there for him. He has too much Pride. He doesn't have much regard for women as we see when he gives his shirt to Jaali's victim he isn't sympathetic to her at all and is kinda indifferent except for looking away as if he's uncomfortable more than regarding her own feelings
And the thing is all of these problems could be fixed if we saw more into his character which we're only given bits and pieces of.
Pushpa isn't close to his mother? Maybe its because he blames her for all the prejudice but still cares for her somewhere in his heart which is seen through the light interactions between the two in the movie. He has too much Pride? well he feels like thats his right because he was denied everything else his father's name, money, and even necklace. He doesn't have regard for women much? Even that can be fixed like in the movie 'temper' where Jr Ntr's character first doesn't care much for other women ends up willing to give his life for them he gets character development. Pushpa could not really see a big deal in Jaali's activities until he's confronted with one of the victims himself and is reminded of the women in his life and starts to detest Jalli which ultimately bursts when Jaali sets his eyes on Srivalli.
Everything I said you can mostly think about happening in the movie but its like a real stretch you have to really put your mind on it to see it happening in the canon of the Pushpa universe its nots showed to us the viewers like in other movies we don't get clear cut shots of these narratives I spoke up being played out. Its what makes these movies lively or entertaining in my opinion because they had depth which is enhanced due to the main character himself.
So see this from my perspective a MAN is able to outsmart the police and insult them, illegally get sandal wood, Act like and arrogant bastard through most of this move, have so much intelligence out of nowhere and still gets a girl?
Reena has more personality than Srivalli I'm actually gonna begin stanning her after this.
And when I say a MAN I mean a MAN because the person Pushpa on my screen is a stranger to me I don't get a clear feel of his character or any connection to him.
I really hope these issues are rectified in the second movie but I have my doubts. Pushpa as a movie feels like a regression for Tollywood and I don't want that for my cinema industry which I know has flaws but I also know that its healing and has really good stories.
Anyways to all Indian movie lovers out hope you're excited for Devara because I sure am. Jr. Ntr in double roles? Its like Adhurs all over again. And one of his roles seems really cute too, I've wanted to see Jr Ntr in action again for a long time.
But thats all for now
Yours truly
Roselle🪷

Now is the time to find a membership at a movie theater chain. Last night, the dude in front of me dropped $81 on 3 RPX tickets for Devara: Part 1. That’s $25 a ticket plus tax! That’s $7 more a ticket than 6 months ago!
And that’s RPX. Not IMAX. Not 4DX. Not 3D. Not on film. RPX, just somewhat better visuals and sound than regular 2D theaters.
And don’t think it’s just “premium” tickets going up. The regular tickets are $5 more than 6 months ago too.
So unless you have mom and pop theaters that aren’t gouging you for money, please look into free memberships with Cinemark and Regal because they have discounted Tuesdays.
Regal Unlimited (if you have participating theaters in your area) is great because RPX and regular theaters are free while IMAX, 4DX, and 3D are discounted. And that’s unlimited movies any day of the week as many times a day as you want for $19-24 a month! (Service fee applies through the app, free if bought at theater)
AMC A-List is 3 free a week for $25 monthly. (I’m guessing service fee applies each visit, idk I’ve never had it)
Alamo Drafthouse is one movie free a day (must pay service fee because you have to buy through app) for $20ish a month (depending on where you see movies). They do have different tiers and it’s needlessly complicated but still worth looking into.
I know these are the major chains I’m talking about, but please look into your theaters and any charities they work with.
Santikos is a local nonprofit chain for me and they do blood drives every month where they give away a free movie ticket, 30 minute game card and other discounts at their locations if you donate. Every fall they do a food drive where you can get a free game card for nonperishables.
I know I’m preaching to no one when I post this, but I love going to the movies and the feeling you get when you see a good one in theaters is exciting just to think about. But there’s a problem with that. Just seeing a movie because it had good reviews doesn’t mean it’s a good movie. It can be the best acting in the world with an award winning dialogue with the most cinematic shots, but if you don’t like 3-hour dramas or action movies or quiet/silent movies, then it’s not a good movie for you.
You know what you like and you’ll go see what you like, but there may be a movie that surprises you. I just saw Transformers One and from the trailers I thought it was going to be a phoned in kids movie with the worst jokes, but it surprised with with the build up, with the animation, with not as bad as I was expecting jokes. I could’ve easily written it off, but I gave it a shot and now understand why Chris Hemsworth was voice casted for young Optimus Prime. And I know that I wouldn’t fully appreciate the story if I was watching it at home while the world moved around me.
Give movies a shot. Go see movies in theaters. And try to save money while doing it.

Summary The Empty Man (2020)
On the trail of a missing girl, an ex-cop comes across a secretive group attempting to summon a terrifying supernatural entity.
Synopsis The Empty Man (2020)
Ura Valley, Bhutan, 1995 - Four friends - Greg (Evan Jonigkeit), Paul (Aaron Poole), Fiona (Jessica Matten), and Ruthie (Virginia Kull) - are hiking on a mountain to reach a spot they have been searching for a while. A text reading "DAY ONE" appears. After he blows into what looks like a flute instrument, Paul then seems to hear something calling to him. He walks until he falls down a crevice. Greg goes in to rescue him and finds Paul sitting down facing a bizarre-looking skeleton while muttering something to himself. The skeleton appears to move slightly, but Greg gets Paul out in time. The friends carry Paul out and spot a nearby house with nobody in it, so they stay there for now. On Day Two, Paul's condition doesn't appear to get better, as he is just lying around in silence. Outside, Ruthie appears to see a figure in the ongoing snowstorm. As she steps back, the figure matches her footsteps before starting to charge toward her, but she runs back inside the house and shuts the door. When she hears pounding outside, she continues to block the door until she hears Greg and Fiona. Ruthie asks them if they heard or saw anyone outside, but they deny it. As Ruthie is sleeping later, it appears as though Paul is whispering something in her ear. Day Three - Greg, Fiona, and Ruthie bring Paul with them as they continue their hike in the area. Ruthie appears dazed until she takes out a knife and stabs Greg and Fiona, throwing their bodies over the edge of the cliff before she throws herself off, leaving Paul by himself while he simply blows into the flute instrument. Jump to Missouri in 2018 where former detective James Lasombra (James Badge Dale) is working in a security store. He frequently hears a voice saying "Where were you?" since it has been a year after his wife Allison (Tanya van Graan) and son Henry died in a car accident. He frequently looks out for teenager Amanda Quail (Sasha Frolova), as he is friends with her mother Nora (Marin Ireland). Amanda hasn't had a good relationship with Nora since her father passed away, so she looks to James as an alternate figure. Amanda soon appears to have run away, and Nora calls James for help. They find a message on her mirror written in blood, "The Empty Man made me do it." After official detectives take on the case, James decides to do a little investigation of his own. James visits the high school to find Amanda's friend Devara Walsh (Samantha Logan). She sits in his car and tells her about a couple nights ago when she and Amanda, plus friends Brandon (Joel Courtney), Julianne (Marijke Bezhuidenhout), Meyer (Connor Dowds), Lisa (Jamie-Lee Money), and Duncan (Owen Teague), were walking across the nearby bridge where Amanda decided to summon The Empty Man, an urban legend that takes three days to appear. On the first day, those who summon him will hear him calling to them. On the second day, he makes his presence known to them. On the third day, he finds them. The teens all blew into a bottle as per tradition. Devara also remembers seeing Amanda whispering in Brandon's ear similar to how Paul whispered to Ruthie. Devara thinks she sees The Empty Man in the woods before she leaves James's car. Later that night, James goes by the bridge to continue looking into Amanda's disappearance. He finds the bottle that they were using and he blows into it. James then walks down a ladder that leads underneath the bridge where he comes across the hanged corpses of Brandon, Julianne, Meyer, Lisa, and Duncan. The same message from Amanda's mirror is also written. Meanwhile, Devara enters a spa, and when it is foggy enough, The Empty Man attacks, stabbing her with a pair of scissors but making it look like she was stabbing herself. It is officially ruled as a suicide, but James finds the circumstances too unnatural to be believable. It is now Day One for James. He looks further into the origin of The Empty Man. He reads into a cult called the Pontifix Institute that has beliefs originating from places like Bhutan, which would explain how the four friends came across Empty Man there. James goes to the Institute's location, where leader Arthur Parsons (Stephen Root) speaks before a whole crowd. Afterwards, he talks to James and references Empty Man, referring to him as an entity that provides his followers with what they desire as long as they do his bidding. Day Two - James starts following people associated with the Institute. He is led to a hospital where an older Paul is sitting in a vegetative state, but the people entering his room appear to be bowing and chanting something to him. The other detectives chastise James for getting involved in the case when he is retired. He later visits Nora, who is still worried about her daughter. James asks her if Amanda knew about the two of them apparently being together, but Nora says no. James is led into the woods where he finds what looks like the entire cult hooded like Empty Man, stepping toward him closer and closer before they chase him. James runs to his car and escapes from the cult. On Day Three, James finds Amanda, who is acting under the influence of the cult and Empty Man. She explains to James that an "empty man, with nothing to lose or gain is the perfect vessel to project Empty Man's messages. She starts repeating "Where were you?" to James, as he is forced to relive the trauma that has been haunting him. On the night that Allison and Henry were killed, he was engaging in an affair with Nora. He has since blamed himself for not being there to have prevented it. James, now fully drained of his consciousness and humanity, goes into the hospital to Paul's room. He unloads his gun into Paul's head. The doctors and nurses, all members of the cult, look to James as their new Empty Man.

Dorasani Full Movie Leaked Online In HD Quality For Free Download By Piracy Website Tamilrockers 2019
Telangana story, language and accent themed films are gaining popularity in the audience. The film has become a special attraction as the hero of Vijaya Devarakonda’s brother Anand Devara Konda, daughter of veteran filmmaker Jeeva Rajasekhar, is introduced to the film industry by KVR Mahendra. Antony was fascinated by the teasers, trailers, and audio before the release, as well as the fact that the entire Telangana life story is coming up. With such high expectations, the new generation of actors has to review the cast to find out what kind of outcome the director has.
Dorasani Movie Reviews & Ratings
Devaki is the daughter of landlord (Vinay Verma) of Warangal district. The girl is unknown to the outside world except for Gadi’s life. King (Anand Deverakonda) of a poor family in the same village is a young man studying in Pattanam. Devaki and the king fall in love at the Batukamma festival. To that end, the love of Devaki and the king comes to the landlord’s attention.
Story Of Dorasani Telugu Movie Based On:-
Twist in the Countess’s story How did the landlord react to Devaki and the king’s love? What kind of mischief did the landlord get for his daughter’s love? Did Gadhi resist the elders who tried to break their love? What a decision Devi had made against her father’s will. The story of Dhorasani is the answer to questions about where the landlord and the lover eventually led to the dignity and tooth.
Faustaf Analysis Most of the films hit the Telugu screen with the story of Bhooswamy’s daughter, Padini. Otherwise, the film’s Telangana slang, language and native elements have become a special attraction. The first part of the film begins with the Telangana culture traditions. The landlord’s daughter runs the cinematic routine with the usual young girl’s liking and the attraction between them. But the proverbial language and the elevation of the language sequences create some distrust. Clay smells, pumpkins, and batukamma-like scenes found in a variety of characters This is the specialty of the first part of the film. Nothing more to say in Faustaf. Oh Baby Full Movie Download
Positive Points of the Dorasani Telugu Movie:-
Secondhand Analysis Waiting until the second half for the original story feels a bit minuscule in this film. The Secondoff is rife with love and hate. To this end, the concept of Naxalism seems to be new. A twist in the climax to Daurasani’s film takes the film to another level. The climax to the Countess has become an added attraction. The performance of the director Choosing the most common story in Telugu cinema is a challenge for director KVR Mahendra. His directorial talents mirrored that of the screen with the technical strength of such a story and creating a new feel on the screen. Otherwise the writer failed to write great scenes. It is a style that fills the essence of the story. The film’s style is good, with a lot of cast and gestures to the dialogues. Emotional feeling seems to be missed. Otherwise the content would be better and the movie range would have been similar. As a director, he has effectively played a role in bringing complete justice to the story he believes in.
Negative Points of the Dorasani Telugu Movie:-
About Countess Sivattika Shivamti acting as a Devaki in the role of Countess is good. Feeling nowhere as a first contact is nowhere to be seen. Eyeshadow gestures are impressive. The second half featured a mature performance in emotional scenes. Spiritual clothing and make-up are very good. It can be said that the mold caused the feeling of being a dosa. Actually, it is possible to become a good performer with some flaws.
Watch or not? Dorasani Telugu Movie:-
Anand Deverakonda Acting Anand Deverakonda is well suited for the role of King. Still to be admired in terms of acting. Farwal, however, seemed to be the hero of the first film. Impressive, Chalaki was impressed with the scene. The lack of strength in the scene could not elevate Anand’s performance. There is no chance of going wrong in terms of talent. Vinay Varma is seen in the rest of the cast. Emotional scenes appear to be new. The three stars who are friends with the king are another attraction of the movie. These three supporters of the King’s character are attributed to the Fieldgood Factor. Each of the remaining characters was impressed. The role of the asylum will once again be remembered.
Dorasani Telugu Movie Last Verdict:-
Performance of technical units There are plenty of technical values to be found in Countess Cinema. The same can be said for the film. The cinematography provided by Sanni Korrapati is excellent. Locations of Telangana are beautifully illustrated. Prashant Vihari’s music was the highlight of the film. Recording is awesome. The art department, led by Jake Murthy, must first appreciate the work. The editing is still on scope. A few scenes in the first half are likely to add some momentum to the story.
Rating Of Dorasani Movie 5/2.5 Tellyupdates.Me
Telangana slang, language, culture and traditions not only the image of the landlord. The best technical values have made the film extra strong. Apart from the Bee and Sea Center, the film has the potential to attract a good range of films to impress the urban audience. Madhura Sridhar and Yash Rangineni accounted for the success of the film in the film.
Director: KVR Mahendra
Star Cast: Anand Devarakonda, Shivamthika Rajasekhar, Vinay Verma, Saranya, Yash Rangini

What I’m looking most forward to in Game changer
So I’m a fan on Ram Charan have been even before RRR Maghadheera was one of my favorite movies as a kid and not just because of Kajal’s beautiful wardrobe in that movie *cries in can’t wear pretty dresses because of social anxiety*
But we’re not going to be talking about Maghadheera today we are going to be talking about Ram Chatman’s new movie “Game Changer”
Granted I have not seen it because I don’t usually go to the movies and it has released on an Ott platform my family uses but since it’s not in the best quality I’m gonna wait for a bit before watching it and I have exams too so I have to finish that before relaxing.
But Game Changer is a movie I was initially very excited for when it was announced before the trailers and teasers and everything.
It was because it was Ram Charan’s first appearance in a movie after RRR and because the look and style of it , it reminded me of his old movies and gave me the vibe he was going to go the safe route after RRR and give like one of those classic movies but maybe with a more intriguing storyline.
Now after watching the trailer and teaser I still do believe that to some point but after hearing a person on my fyp talk about how the formula this movie used was too much like those old 2015-2018 Telugu movies I’m a bit skeptical but I think I still might enjoy it somewhat.
When I first watched the trailer though I was really excited because I could for the life of me not know what was going on there was a suspense that made me want to watch the movie more. And I couldn’t tell if there was gonna be two or three versions of Ram Charan in the movies because of how different he looks in different parts of the trailer. I’m assuming it’s two but I guess I have to see.
I’m not gonna be comparing my opinions on my first look of Game Changer to Devara at all because they’re clearly very different types of movies Devara is a movie that gives off a lot of dark vibes while Game changer does have conflict but has a more bright color scheme.
Also I do feel like Devara had a good premise the execution and storyline in the end was just . . . meh.
Don’t really know what to expect in the sequel if Devara himself isn’t alive in my opinion it makes it way less interesting and the romance was not there at all.
Back to Game changer
As the title suggest I am going to be describing what I’m looking forward to in this movie.
First of all I’m interested in what the plot would be I know there’s a politician vs police officer plot in there because one of Ram Charan’s characters stated he was an IAS Officer till he dies and after reading the subtitles (don’t bully me I’m not fluent in Telugu) the villain so revealed to be the prime minister of Andhra Pradesh and honestly that itself isn’t really interesting I’ve seen the plot where the corrupt politician steals money from the people a bunch of times I’m just wondering what they’re gonna do with it because I remember S.J Suryah the actor who plays the villain in the movies was also in Saripodha Sanivaram and I really loved his performance in that because of his backstory and dis likable character so I hope “Game Changer” properly utilize him in this movie as well.
Also I’m curious about how the Rangasthalam version of Ram Charan will play a role in the whole IAS officer thing, by Rangasthalam Ram Charan I mean the version of Ram Charan in this film who lives in the countryside or village area with his family a wife and kid since there’s like four versions of him in this film (they decided to really milk him out). Im assuming he’s going to meet the IAS version of himself to talk about the injustices his village is facing and from a scene I accidentally watched while my parents were watching the movie (*Spoiler alert kinda*) Rangasthalam Ram set up his own political party to benefit his village I think but that was like hinted in the trailer as well.
I know the IAS Ram Plotline will be the main plotline because of how many scenes we have of him compared to Rangasthalam Ram but honestly I’m looking forward to scenes with Rangasthalam Ram way more.
Rangasthalam Ram in this movies seems so honest and hardworking and sweet and IAS Ram is also honest and hardworking but there’s something relatable or endearing about Rangasthalam Ram he seems like he isn’t a natural leader and struggles to help his village in family to get through their tough environment but pushes through because he deeply cares for them. And that’s true bravery fighting to protect the people that you love even if it isn’t with fists but other actions this is what Mass hero movies gloss over and since “Game Changer” seems like a Mass movie I’m very glad that this type of character is included in this film and as a main character too even if he isn’t the ‘main’ ‘main’ character.
Oh-OH!
edit: So I just watched the song Arugu Meedha from Game Changer. Initially when watching the trailer I thought Rangasthalam Ram’s relationship with his wife seemed way cute than IAS Ram and the conventionally attractive heroine Kiara Advani who seems to be used to fill in the box-
oh well we got a fair skinned heroine let’s check that out and give her no role whatsoever and possibly make her relationship with the Hero incredibly one sided when it comes to affection and probability of working in an actual relationship.
She was also in Vinaya Vidhaya Rama and they did the exact same thing Unlike Devara though where the most screen time we got from Janhvi Kapoor was in the songs I think “Game Changer” will try to decently build up IAS Ram and Kiara’s character’s love story but it probably won’t be anything new or exciting.
Okay so back to my “OH!” I watched Arugu Meedha and in the trailer I thought Rangasthalam Ram’s relationship with his wife is something I’d like better even if I saw like maybe one scene of them together where his wife played by Anjali rested her head on his back as he rode their bike with them and their child which I found very domestic and cute especially since we don’t get a lot of Telugu mass movies where the characters are already married and have this domestic bliss
ARUGU MEEDHA IS SOMETHING ELSE!!!
THIS IS A SONG DEDICATED JUST TO THEM, and sure it isn’t an item song but I don’t freakin care!!! This is cute!
The way Anjali’s character looks at Rangasthalam Ram when he comes home looking upset?!?!?
Tumblr media
It gives off why her very attentive husband brushes past her not out of anger against her but the way he’s so preoccupied with such a troubling matter coming into their once simple life.
AND BY ATTENTIVE I MEAN ATTENTIVE He legit fans her feet when she looks like she’s sick without her asking too like- and he looks so worried it’s so adorable ughhhhh.
Tumblr media
Looking like it’s the last time he’ll see her when she probably got the flu. (Cries in loneliness)
And the fact is he’s probably still in the beginning of his political career after he started his political party for the villagers but he’s still such a caring husband.
And it’s not just him! Anjali seeing him upset uplifts his chin and seems to try and ask him what’s wrong even if what we’re actually hearing is her singing the song. He then turns away because he doesn’t want to subject his wife with his troubles even if he knows she’ll try to help, Especially knowing she’ll try to help the best she can because she loves him so much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we see the bicycle scene again which is nice but I like it more in the trailer since we see her rest her head on her husband’s back and seeing a woman so in love with her husband brings tears to my eyes (because we do NOT get that in Telugu cinema often)
And then more Angst- Anjali ,for some unknown heartbreaking reason, is crying the tears are simply falling off and then Rangasthalam Ram upturns her chin (what in the hell is with all the beautiful eye contact!?!?!?) holds her head in the palms of his hands wiping her tears with the thumbs of his hand before holding her shoulders and gently bringing her closer to cry freely on his shoulder holding the back of her head carefully like a child
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND TO TOP IT OFF WE GET A RANGASTHALAM RAM VERSION OF THIS TOO
with Anjali rushing over to her husband’s side seeing something is wrong
Tumblr media
She holds his head gently and asks what happened
Tumblr media
AND THIS TIME HE ACTUALLY OPENS UP! because he feels safe around her and wants her comfort and views her as his equal to tell things too. A true soulmate
And then after realizing what happened and why he’s sound defeated and heartbroken with how he can’t bring himself to look at her (out of guilt maybe) she brings his head closer to her shoulder to rest on it so he had the feeling that he’s okay that he’s safe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Right there in her arms there is nowhere he’d rather be.
it just shows how endearing and TWO SIDED their relationship is with both of them deeply caring for each other.
Tumblr media
And this scene where Rangasthalam Ram is happily carrying his wife and son off in the sunset shows that he’s not a masculine mass hero he’s just a guy. A guy who loves his family, his wife and son to the moon and doesn’t want anything to happen to them because they’re his life.
Um so that was definitely not tear wrenching (I’m crying as I type). Now this again is just what I’m imagining is happening unfortunately their relationship probably will be watered down thrown under the bridge or etc. but I what happened in Raayan with Meghalai (Aparna Balamurali) and Muthuvelraayan (Sundeep Kishan) from a previous post I made is less likely to happen because Rangasthalam Ram is still a main character more or less and his story matters in “Game Changer”.
So Excluding my whole Im very lonely montage im also curious about the woman in this picture for the movie “Game changer”
Tumblr media
Who is she? And why does she matter?
I actually didn’t realize there was a little bit in the photo at first but I’m hypothesizing this has something to do with one of the character’s childhood trauma specifically the IAS Officer or maybe the “Collector” ,I don’t know how many Ram Charans are in this movie.
And that’s because he’s yelling for his mother in an abandoned building in construction. Then again the villain the minister might’ve actually kidnapped his mother and family who knows.
The woman whose face is blurred is probably either a reference to the woman in this picture or her herself
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or wait- that might be Anjali! The necklace and dress design matches the blurred woman but maybe it’s her husband’s mother’s attire and she’s wearing it for some special day but something unexpected happens.
God the theories you can make with the smallest things the movie better be feeding these theories.
Anyway that’s all I have to say for today I might or may not make a post after I watch “Game Changer” since I still haven’t made another post about Raayan after watching the movie. It’s mostly because I didn’t have a lot of complaints except for uh, ruining my hopes and dreams about Meghalaai and Muthuvelraayan but yeah we’ll see if Game Changer ends up not being an utter failure and ‘Rajamouli’s curse’ running in production then maybe I’ll make another post dedicated to Rangasthalam Ram and his story or maybe about the absurdity of having like 4 Ram Charan characters in one movie.
Yours truly
