Jake describes shrinking into falcon morph as "dwindling down like a fast-burning candle" (p. 14). You okay there, kid?

"Tobias came zooming up alongside us, zipping around like he'd been born a bird" (p. 16). I mean... y'ain't wrong, Big Jake.

This is one of those books that hinges on the whole idea that things break, even for space-people. Ships crash, because crashes happen. Random weapons malfunctions are a fact of life, if you carry weapons around. Shit happens. Even to alien invaders.

The whole first part of this book lends weight to my hypothesis that Jake is the most, like, aware of being mentally ill. He kind of just accepts that he's hallucinating, chalks it up to "Things I wish I'd never seen... things I'd done I wish I couldn't remember" and then goes back to planning the mission. Marco is the most aware the others are falling apart, that "One of us would snap" (#5), Cassie's the most conscious of the shifting team dynamics, and of course Tobias is the identified patient. But it's Jake who most openly accepts okay, I'm losing my mind; I'll worry about that later. "The good thing about rushing is it didn't give me too much time to think," according to Jake, "thinking meant worry, and worry gets in the way of getting things done" (p. 33).

thinking about Renee colossally crashing out. one of the upperclassmen walking into a room and noticing her staring out the window with her jaw clenched, her fists balled up with a barely controlled shake, her eyes dark and distant. she doesnt look up at them when they enter, ignoring their chirpy greeting. she opts for the kindest “please leave” that she can muster, but the cracks are there, and it doesn’t feel like Renee behind the words at all. Andrew has no interest in answering when Dan knocks on his door, but then she says “it’s Renee,” and he’s already pushed her out of the way to get to her.

even when Andrew walks in, her composure is in tatters, and she’s quiet when she asks him to leave her alone. but Andrew is Andrew, and he doesn’t, of course he doesn’t. What is it? he asks, but he’s not asking what it’s about. he’s not asking what happened to put her in such a state - he’s asking about the feeling, whether it’s anger or fear that’s taken its hold. she looks at him, and if he weren’t himself, he’d step back, to create distance between the Natalie in her eyes and his body. she asks him again to leave, but he asks her to go somewhere else. she’s holding a cross pendant between her fingers like she’s going to snap it.

Look at the way Jinx talks about Viktor in "Jinx Fixes Everything" when she knows his plans could destroy life as she knows it.

Now look at the way Viktor talks about Jinx in the RiotxArcane visual nocpvel when she's threatening to tear apart reality as he knows it.

They're both so willing to extend the other empathy and compassion when they can see the destructive path the other is on. It's so insane these kinds of dynamics are shafted into side media like the minigame and visual novel.

Dorian should have been harder to unlock as lovers like I want him to be a fucking tsundere. I want him to have the energy of an insecure girlfriend who doesn't know how to take a compliment and thinks everything is a threat. I don't know man that key should have traumatized him a little bit more. Like I want to go up to him and say "you look good today " and just have him snap at me like "what's that supposed to mean?" " What do you mean by that?" "Are you Making fun of me?!" "Fuck you!"

And then lock the door preventing you from entering a certain room until the next day in game (which honestly would make the game a little bit harder If you have to talk to certain characters The next day)

I started using Tumblr a little over a year ago, and I remember stumbling upon one of your artworks after searching the “alttp” tag. I was so incredibly happy and excited — I loved it immediately, especially because it’s so rare to see ALTTP-related art where I’m from.

Back then, I didn’t pay much attention to who the artist was and just kept browsing. But over time, I realized that so many of the amazing pieces I loved were actually created by you! Honestly, your art is breathtaking. The way you portray Link and Zelda outside of the game’s narrative makes them feel so real. Your inspiration and creativity seem endless.

Your use of bright, intricate, and emotionally resonant colors fills every piece with a sense of story — sometimes with a gentle sadness, sometimes with tiny, charming interactions that make me smile.

I remember seeing that you draw on a particular site, and I tried using it too. It was really hard 😣 and made me admire your work even more — I’m amazed at how you manage to create such rich, detailed pieces on such a tiny canvas and with such limited tools.

Your compositions and the way you frame your scenes are incredible too — the perspectives you use, whether it's looking up, down, or close-up, show such skill and depth. I’ve been obsessed with your artwork for a long time 🥺🥺

And the outfits you design for Link and Zelda — they’re absolutely beautiful. They’re so different from the classic green tunic, yet they feel *exactly* like something the characters would wear. I don’t think any language could fully express how much I love your costume designs. Please allow me to scream for a moment here.

The idea of TF One Megatron using fanfics to VENT just has me reeling because yes, he definitely is writing Megatronus Prime content because nothings stopping him.

But just imagine he also uses his fics to try to get some catharsis and soon enough there's Optimus fics as well. That vary with intensity especially during the war a h a h a h a plenty of sub Optimus stuff but the occasional oneshots of him being dominant are sprinkled in. Some of this is him angrily typing what accused charged dream he's been having of his enemy to try to banish it from his mind but clearly it just makes said dreams more creative.

The practically minimum if any words in the author notes in those works speaks VOLUMES.
