The thing about TERFs is that they’ll talk about the issues women face and how things are unfair or not designed with women in mind and how society was shaped around men and how it still is like that in many many places.
But instead of seeing that as a system that needs to be changed, they take all of that as Inherent and Biological when that’s not the case. And in fact is just adhering to what the system has been from the start.
More rambling underneath idk I’ve just been thinking about stuff lately
“Men are born hating women. They are born with this instinct to harass and assault and it’s only a matter of time before they do. You cannot transition into a women because you are not socialized the same was a them. You didn’t suffer what they suffered. You don’t know all the True Ways of being a women so anything you do is a mockery.”
And I just have to wonder. Who taught you about women hood? I don’t mean what did society tell you or show you. Who taught you as an individual why being a woman meant To Them.
Because there are a lot of women in this world who wake up and are so happy to be women. Who feel pride in not just their body but their mind and goals and ideals and dreams. Who see womanhood as something to strive towards. Not one thing to earn by doing the right things but panting to gain For The Self. The way they carry themselves and treat others, the way they see and want to shape the world.
I am not cis, but not because I was scared or felt that I was failing at being a girl. I didn’t feel like one. All of that Inherent and Biological stuff I was meant to feel as a girl and future women wasn’t clicking. All the talking points that TERFs and transphobes make about this or that. It wasn’t clicking. I was a Girl no doubt, because I wasn’t a boy and those were my only options. And it was fine for me because I wasn’t taught to hate it. I was surrounded by women who enjoyed being women. I don’t reject my upbringing bc it’s the only one I had. It was fine because My Life more or less wasn’t filled with that kind of suffering.
I do not define my identity by suffering. I tried to once and that almost killed me. I was taught by other queer people that I had to hate my body or I wasn’t really trans. I’ve never been assaulted for being queer but I’m not out at work. I don’t feel safe and I know I don’t look any different. It took me ages to just be okay with My Body being a trans body I’m not sure when I’ll be ready to take that next step. But I’ll make it in my on time if I ever do.
But I’m trans bc I LACK the euphoria of being a woman. There is no joy or pride. I was a Weird Girl bc no other word existed for me back then. I was a human but a girl. I was a person but a girl. And when I discovered there were other words I felt happy. I didn’t need to be a Different from the rest girl or a Late Blooming girl. Nonbinary came along. Trans came along. Agender came along. I had new words to try out and they fit me in the way Weird Girl no longer needed to act as a placeholder.
I say All of this just to reiterate how stupid those biological talking points are. On both sides mind you because the queer community from what I’ve seen is not kind to AMAB people and that upsetting. Because there is no inherent evil of birth sex or body. There is no way to tell who is Good and Safe and who is Harmful other than their actions. This is not me ignoring society structure. This is me saying that
“You don’t know my pain so you’re not a real X”
Sounds a lot like
“If all you need to be X is the desire and genuine euphoria with identifying as such to the point of choosing a scary series of events and possible hatred from others, all because you will be happy at the end of the road, then My suffering doesn’t mean I’m worthy of this title. I am just someone who suffered.”
And it’s fucked up the way we live now. And there is no blank slate. And we STILL act as a group on these issues. But it doesn’t need to stay that way. We as individuals can make that change day by day until we don’t need to fear or resent each other to feel safe. Where we won’t have to fight over scraps. But we won’t get there by listening to people who wish us harm or who make up criteria that even other cis people don’t meet.
#trans rights#trans woman#queer community#trans man#the idea that you have not suffered enough to claim a title is a bad rhetoric that only hurts everyone#we can acknowledge and show compassion to those who were dragged through the mud to get to where they are#but we help them by caring about each other no matter where they started#from those who had no support to those with loving families#the people who want us dead or to stay quiet about how we feel do not care who has it worse#they will use that to divide us further#as for TERFs who hate men but also hate being women#the struggles women face are real and true but how you feel about yourself is not universal#bigots use the boxes to keep people in line and to keep life the way it is#the idea that it can be different but Better doenst even register#they don’t want equality the way it should be and that’s why we need to stop using their ideals to hurt others in the community#gosh dang messed up the first tags ARG#trans women#trans men#I used to k ow how to spell guys

Another thing about Steven Universe as character (and the series) that has been mischaracterized over the course of the years and the source of a good chunk of discourse online is the relationship that Steven has with the Diamonds.
A lot of videos, posts and memes have spread around the idea that Steven went to Homeworld in the final arc of the series because he wanted to ¨be besties¨ with the Diamonds, when what happens in the actual show is very different.
In the episode "Legs from Here to Homeworld"-which takes place after the episode ¨Reunited¨ that Blue and Yellow Diamond find out that Rose Quartz was in fact Pink Diamond- Steven shows to Blue and Yellow one of the corrupted gems (Centipeetle) and helds them accountable for making a lot of gems end up this way and orders them to fix the mess they caused.
Steven: ¨Do it again! It was working!¨ Yellow Diamond: ¨How long do you expect us to hold her together?¨ Steven: ¨I don’t know. Forever! You did this! So you have to do something!¨
Seeing they need White Diamond to fix the corrupted gems, Steven thinks of going to gem Homeworld to see if he can talk to White about the corrupted gems and convince her to come to Earth and help them.
That's the main reason Steven goes to Homeworld- he doesn't like the Diamonds nor wants to be friends with them- he just wants to see if White Diamond can listen to him and help to heal the corrupted gems.
He is aware that the Diamonds listen to him because he himself is a Diamond-Pink Diamond. So he goes along with this little game pretending to be Pink thinking that way White Diamond and the others will listen to him. He believes that maybe as ¨Pink¨ he can make them see the errors of their ways and stop this mini war conflict that he has been caught on in the last few years.
Others have made more detailed analysis about this in the past, that a good part of this arc has a huge trans/queer metaphor for Steven's character- where he keeps being refered to and imposed an identity he doesn't see himself as. He gets called by the Diamonds and other homeworld gems as ¨Pink Diamond¨ and refered to as ¨She¨, when he often corrects and clarifies that he prefers to be called ¨Steven¨.
The final showdown against White Diamond is about this: White keeps trying to play mind games with Steven, making him believe that Pink/Rose is still alive in him and he is in fact Pink/Rose. Because Steven doesn't know this for certain, it proves to be effective for a while, making him feel very confused.
White believes that she is perfect in every way- it is what all her identity is about. She is obsessed with her own perfection so much that she doesn't allow herself to think that she has flaws nor she can't be wrong about something- and because she thinks she has to be perfect, that means that she is right about Pink Diamond still existing inside Steven.
The reality proves her wrong when she takes out Steven's gem and everyone sees that the gem part turns into Steven. As a way of metaphor to a trans allegory and self love, Steven sees that he has always been himself and he shouldn't let other people define what his identity should be, that only him should decide that.
So, in a way, the Diamonds Days arc is intended to be seen as a metaphor to a LGBT+ kid/teenager standing up against their relatives, grandmothers or aunts in this case- and prove them wrong about their identity, that they are what they are and their family can't change that.
Okay, so Steven proves the Diamonds that they are wrong, they change their minds and they help with healing the corrupted gems by the end of ¨Change Your Mind¨.
Does this means Steven becomes friends with them after this?
Well... no
In Steven Universe The Movie, during the song sequence ¨Lets Us Adore You¨ the Diamonds beg Steven to stay with them a bit longer because they miss having Pink around, Steven is seen very uncomfortable around them and wants to get out as quickly as possible to return to Earth.
He sees them as somewhat allies and tries to persuade them in different ways to improve the current situation on Homeworld but he doesn't seem to like them much and doesn't enjoy being around them even if they aren't acting antagonistic towards him anymore.
He has a similar reaction when they come to Earth near the end of the movie. He is very done with them and says that they staying to leave on Earth isn't a good idea on the long run. Instead he shows Spinel to them and Spinel sees this as an opportunity to make a new friend again.
Well, about SU Future? How does Steven feel about them in that series?
In Future is where Steven begins to show real strong PTSD trauma symptoms (something he has had for a while except it wasn't nearly as strong). He knows that he has a problem most of the show but he avoids going to ask the Diamonds for help because he just feels very uncomfortable around them and it reminds him of traumatic experiences he had with them in Diamonds Days arc.
He doesn't go to them until after he accidentally shatters Jasper in ¨Fragments¨ and sees himself as a monster because of this. He separates himself from the rest of the crystal gems, feeling like he is as terrible as the Diamonds were. In ¨Homeworld Bound¨ he interacts with the three Diamonds, asking them for any way they can help him with his powers.
Most of the episode he feels frustrated because A) He can't find a solution to his problem and B) Sees that the Diamonds and Spinel are doing pretty well and he has been getting worse. It makes him get more and more angry the more time he spends in there.
The scene that leaves pretty clear how he feels about them, specially White, is when he talks to White. As shown in the gif above, when White touches Steven near where his gem is, Steven pushes her hand off from him, clearly being reminded of the time White ripped his gem off him in ¨Change Your Mind¨.
White uses her powers so Steven can talk to own self. This leads to an iconic scene that Steven gets angry at himself and White. He has a very strong intrusive thought of crashing White's gem into a pillar for what she put him through. He gets shocked for this and makes him run away scared as result.
This scene leaves clear that Steven has a lot of buried resentment for what the Diamonds did to him, mainly White. Being around them reminds him of his trauma, it makes him deeply uncomfortable and he would rather avoid them as much as possible.
The Diamonds get concerned about Steven and show up during the events of ¨I Am My Monster¨ when Steven transforms into gem like monster. The Diamonds and Spinel blame themselves for Steven feeling this way because of their past actions. White feels it is her fault because of how she hurt Pink Diamond and this brought problems to Steven.
They help with calming Steven down and him returning to his human form. Now there is some argument to be said about why they took part of this hug aside from using their powers to help the gems. I have talked more about this in here but i think it is to represent Steven accepting himself as being part Diamond and maybe forgiving, realizing that he isn't an ¨irredeemable monster¨ because of what he did, that way he stops seeing himself as one and goes back to his normal form.
After this, it is a bit unclear where Steven stands his opinion on his relationship with the Diamonds. I would assume that it is probably not much different than it was before. He still doesn't like them and probably doesn't want to be around them even after all that happened.
In short: Steven sees the Diamonds as allies and post the events of ¨Change Your Mind¨ he shows to be uncomfortable being around them, he doesn't seem to like them and mostly prefers to avoid them. He is glad that they are changing their ways for the better but he would prefer to not interact with them if he doesn't have to due to his own trauma.
The Diamonds regret how they have hurt Steven (and Pink) and care about Steven but he thinks it is better for him to have a distant relationship with them for the reasons i discussed. They can still improve and make amends for everything they did and Steven doesn't have to feel forced to have a relationship with them if he doesn't want to.
There are other things that could be discussed, about how the Diamonds Days arcs should have been longer or how the Diamonds needed more screen time- However, the point of this post is talk about people have mischaracterized Steven's relationship with the Diamonds, saying Steven is best friends with them when in reality he doesn't like them and spends most of Future series avoiding them.

This isn't my art, (it's made by @ TheHearthFox over on Twitter) but I wanted to make a long post about why this work in particular speaks to me so goddamn much. I think such a massive part of the queer experience -- and also the furry experience -- is about the abstract. This can be seen in so many different aspects of furry "culture," from the concept of fursonas to kink and and other fetish content. You and I will never know what it's like to be a werewolf and transform under the full moon into the form of a big hulking furry beast. However, us furries create art and other works about the idea of it anyway. We never will be able to be our fursonas -- our often idealized and "perfect" versions of ourselves -- and part of that really hurts. It hurts so bad honestly, to the point where I can't quite put it into words. In terms of queer culture, I will never know what it is like to be a cis woman, and that also messes with me a lot. Yet, I'm still trans, my identity can change, I can perceive myself as whatever I damn well please. Identity allows you to shape yourself and the world around you in your own image, even if not everyone can see its beauty.
We have ways to get at least somewhat close to how we feel in our abstraction. VRChat allows you to make an avatar of what ever you want, whether it's your fursona or just an ideal version of you. Hell, it doesn't even have to be you, it could be anyone or anything really. We have a whole industry based around creating big ass costumes that allow people to at least look something like their desired character. But it's not enough. It's never enough. I ain't religious, but sometimes I feel like I've bitten the apple, been kicked out of the garden, and now I'm left to fend for myself with an identity that my physicality will never match. When I made my fursona using an avatar base in vrchat and configured it to match my real world body scales and looked down, I honestly started crying. I take the headset off, and I'm still me. Everyone takes the headset or fursuit off and they're still the body they were given, not what they would choose. Our reality is objective, and there's no way to really change that. We can act like animal people online all day, but the moment that screen shuts off, the moment we walk away, that warm, fuzzy feeling (hehe) fades.
To think abstract is to think beyond what you can normally sense. You will never get to brush the knots out of your fur in the morning, or play with your antennae while anxious (I see you bug people). We can still have those ideas, however. I know I'm on the third goddamn paragraph and I'm just now talking about the artwork I linked but this is an important concept to me. Usually, when I think of the abstract, it feels unreal, "fuzzy" so to speak. However, in HearthFox's piece, the objective reality appears out of focus and pixelated. It feels like even if we are unable to fully embrace the abstract, we can still embrace what we can of it, and bring some sort of color to a world that doesn't feel like it is made for us. The colors being outside of the lines could suggest that our abstract perception is maybe just "painted on" to the world around us, but is that a bad thing? Is it bad to take things in from the world around you, but still look at it all in your own unique way? I think not. This also isn't only about therian identity, or furry identity, or even queer identity -- it's also about neurodivergence. You are never in the wrong for thinking about the world in a way that is viewed as "non-standard" by the rest of the world. If you see yourself as a wolf, bee, fox, bear, raccoon, a fucking plane, it's not a bad thing. We can still identify however we want, and this modern way of looking at identity is the best way for us to embrace the abstract.
Go wild, go fucking stupid. Love yourself, if you're a fox, be a fox, there are ways you can feel that way, even if it's not all of the time. We can fight, we can love, we can still find ways to elation, even if sometimes existence itself feels wrong to you. This work is but one side of abstract thinking. Look at the color the fox has compared to the objective. Look how the fur drapes, how it runs down the body, or how the snout expresses emotion. Sometimes it feels melancholic, but you cannot tell me that trying your absolute damnedest to live your identity doesn't at least bring some color to your otherwise dreary and unfocused world.
Stay safe, love yourself no matter what.

Any advice for supporting someone who’s being publicly called out in a pretty vile transmisogynist way? This feels worse because it’s something in the local scene (small city where everyone knows each other) rather than purely online. Don’t wanna re-litigate the merits of the callout - this is a girl I know somewhat but don’t talk to and there are a few friends of mine either spreading the callout or who are friends w/ someone who got in a public shouting match with her over it all. Feels fucking slimy and gross regardless of whether there’s merit to the claims - I’ve never cut ppl off before (avoidant & cowardly) but idk. It’s coming off rlly nasty and hypocritical from ppl who espouse a radical politic, i wanna dm her some words of support but I wanna do so knowing I got the backbone to stop fucking with these ppl. Better to talk to these friends abt it or ice them out? How do u talk to ppl who feel they’re doing this shit for the common good / social murder can be justified and is only a problem when it’s not
I'd check in with the cancelled person first and see what it is that she wants. She might be very uncomfortable with the idea of you cutting of a segment of your own social circle as a principled stand in her defense, or it might have broader social consequences that kind of escalates things or creates a sense of different "camps" existing in ways that could absolutely make life way worse for her. Before you throw yourself into this fight, best make sure it's a fight of only your own making and that it doesn't go back to her. Typically, it's the trans woman who gets blamed for fucking everything.
I think it's best to just keep in mind that certain friends of yours are willing to take these kinds of actions, and let that inform your trust of them and your degree of social exposure to them. If they did this to her, they can do it to you, and they might do it to her even further to punish her for whatever you do about it. It's much better potentially to de-escalate, keep yourself out of the noxious feedback loop of the cancellers entirely, not give them any fresh information or drama to become incensed about.
Quietly and *privately* do what you can honestly do to show up for the trans woman herself. Hang out with her. Invite her to private gatherings with people who don't know or care about this dumb bullshit. Help her pay her rent if her living situation is now threatened. Cook her a meal. Just listen to her vent.
Only offer support that you are actually prepared to consistently provide, whatever that might be, don't do so out of guilt or pity or abstract obligation, that will not be sustainable.
To the extent that you can, build social networks that are not dependent upon this scene that is currently cancelling her. Find some older queer people's running club or a book club or something completely divorced from this shit. It will help you see your way over and above the tangled mess of the people doing the cancelling, and less alone in your resistance to it. I understand it is far harder to escape the blast radius of in a small city with a highly interwoven scene, but there are almost always other people out there who don't care about this shit and have a different perspective on life and treat people differently. And you can help build those kinds of social connections, too.

Remember, any Viv Stans who may be reading this, we do not hate Vivienne Medrano for being a Queer POC Woman. We hate her because she has a history of:
1. Being transphobic towards trans men
2. Ditching her less famous friends when they start rivaling her popularity or does something that she deems a personal attack, in that case she refers to them as abusive the second they leave her life
3. Her company, Spindldhorse, being imfamous for having dozens of workplace mistreatment scandals, and is generally unprofessional with a hierarchy of Viv and her friends, the star power she gets to voice her characters, and then everyone else
4. Pigeonholing her mostly freelance staff into only working for her, vastly limiting their income
5. Not paying her animators livable wages even when she has the funds to do so while she keeps them from perusing other clients
6. Being an overall immature and petty mess on Twitter when it comes to any form of criticism or playful ribbing (“My name is Caine, I am your bitch”)
7. Having a proud rape fetishist storyboard a scene where a character is being raped repeatedly
8. Lying about said rape fetishist being an SA Survivor to excuse having them storyboard a rape scene
9. Telling a 15 year old that the rape fetishist sexually harassed that they’re overreacting and need to get over the rape fetishist sexually harassing them
10. Not crediting the people who helped boost up her projects
11. Writing her female characters to more so be accessories to her favorite male ones and then telling her audience that they’re idiots for not tilting their heads and squinting at the most minute character details
12. Festering one of the most toxic, immature, and cult like fandoms in recent memory and actively stokes their fire by supporting to fans that defend and agree with her.
13. Presenting herself as this sweet, inclusive, and benevolent victim while she does all of this

Reviewing past updates
Since the newest Welcome home update (which is just- ahhhhhh so wonderful check it out if you haven't already) and the newest events taking place, I've been combing through some of the older content to analyze it with the hindsight we now have. Mainly Frank and Eddie's relationship and the possible implications of it being hidden. Remember everything I say is just speculation and all in good fun. Feel free to make your own theories!
SPOILERS FOR NEW WELCOME HOME UPDATE AHEAD
Alright so we are all very aware of what happened in the hidden video, particularly to Eddie, who seems to have dissociated and opened his eyes about the reality of the world around him. Do we know if he's aware of specific details? No, it seems for now that he is realizing something is very wrong with the neighborhood and it scares him. This causes him to completely dissociate and become completely unresponsive to everybody except Frank (keep that in mind for later).
With the update, we also get more information about his role in the neighborhood, or should I say the lack of his role. He is very clearly being isolated from the community, and either purposeful or not it seems as though everyone is excluding him. I lean towards it being accidental exclusion, especially in regard to Frank since his ending dialogue towards Eddie in the hidden video implies that he cares very deeply about Eddie and I could not wrap my head around the idea that he would intentionally exclude Eddie unless he had ulterior motives (again keep in mind for later). There's a bunch of theorizing going on about why Eddie in particular is being excluded, the most popular one I've seen being that his relationship with Frank is too outwardly queer for the showrunners or the welcome home restoration teams liking. And while this does fall in line with the previously stated themes of welcome home (Clown had said that homophobia would be a theme) I'm not so quick to jump to the assumption that Eddie is being excluded just because he's a queer character.
Take a look at this artwork, I'm aware we shouldn't take non-canon artworks into theorizing but this is more to point out something I'm not seeing a lot of people mentioning. There are so many queer characters in the neighborhood. From left to right it seems that Eddie is queer, Julie is genderfluid, Poppy is trans and lesbian, and Frank is non-binary and queer. And this is just four of the characters! I wouldn't call it crazy to assume that more of the neighbors are queer as well. So why target Eddie specifically for being queer if there are so many other queer characters? At first, I thought it must be because he's in a canonical queer relationship, and coincidentally his partner is also being pushed into a love interest role with Julie. But what is Eddie doing that is interfering with Julie and Frank's assigned relationship? Honestly nothing.
I could make the argument that Eddie was being pushed out if he was disrupting or otherwise messing with Julie and Frank's "romance" in some way but from what I see, Eddie has done nothing that would imply he and Frank are romantically involved unless someone was specifically looking for it.
Here is where I look into past updates and audio transcripts to point out minor instances when Frank and Eddie are implied to be a couple. Keep in mind a lot of this speculation is done with the thought that Eddie and Frank are in a romantic relationship but are keeping it hidden.
First, let's look at Eddie's Big Lift and how Frank and Eddie interact with each other there. So Eddie having Eddie shenanigans is roped into a sort of challenge by Julie to see if he can lift the entire neighborhood. You can pretty much see how Eddie is pretty hesitant to pick anybody up, sort of just going along with it without any enthusiasm. He's very much pushed into it and does it just because other's ask him to (very in line with his character) Check out his reaction to picking up Julie and Sally:
(Julie)
EDDIE: Mail call! I’ve got mail here fo-- oh no
JULIE: [Overlapping him, running off in his direction] EDDIE, EDDIE, EDDIE, CATCH ME! QUICK! CATCH ME!
[Sound of packages hitting the ground and Eddie going “oof!” as he catches Julie.]
JULIE: TA-DAA!! See? See??
(Sally)
SALLY: Well, I’m not convinced. [commanding; Director Mode] Mail-maaan~! Mailman! Center stage, man!
EDDIE: Uh, yes, ma’am--
SALLY: [Snapping her fingers] Up, man! Up! Lift! Higher now-- with your knees-- all the way up-- there!!
EDDIE: [Overlapping with Sally’s directing] What, oh, uh-- yes ma’am!-- [Strained, lifting] oof-- here we go-- uhf-- alrighty-- hup!
Now look at his reaction when Julie asks him to pick up Frank:
JULIE: FRANK NEXT! FRANK NEXT!!
EDDIE: [chipper, Man On The Job] All right then!
FRANK: Don’t you dare.
EDDIE: [Tone exactly the same, backing off] Wouldn’t dream of it!
Chipper. It's honestly super cool reading the transcripts because although the voice actors do a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life we often miss small details like this when we don't look at the script. But back to theorizing. Are you seeing how enthusiastic Eddie is to carry Frank's in comparison to the other neighbors??? Like c'mon at least from my queer perspective this whole interaction gives "I want any opportunity to touch my partner because we are so deep in the closet that it's killing us". Frank's reaction, at least from what we know now, and their insistence on keeping their feelings for Eddie on the down low 100% gives off the vibe that they are stern about being touched only because it could possibly implicate their relationship. It's clear they at least admire Eddie at this point, what with the iconic reaction to Eddie lifting Barnaby:
FRANK: [overlapping others, accidentally being Genuinely Impressed a second] Oh my.
(Side note these two pine like no other it's genuinely so sweet, look how impressed Frank is)
And this is in front of people! Don't get me started on how affectionate they are when nobody is around. In the previous bug update, Frank still calls Eddie "Mr. Dear" in private (though keep in mind Wally is right there) but they are noticeably more affectionate and borderline flirty?? Maybe it's just me but Frank rarely teases other characters unless they're friends with them. And they never tease anybody the way they do with Eddie. And let's not mention Frank switching from Mr. Dear to Eddie at the end of the hidden record cause oh my god does that make me sad. Like the fact, they notice Eddie is stressed and having a panic attack but they only switch to Eddie's name when it is absolutely necessary like Jesus. Frank is trying so hard to keep their cover but ultimately their concern for Eddie takes over and omg does that ruin me.
But these are major instances of potential romantic implications on the website, and we haven't even been through some of the artwork. But the major point of my bringing this up is to say that at the end of the day, a lot of these instances are only romantically coded with the hindsight of knowing they are the only canon relationship in the show. If I'm honest you could make an argument that they are simply close friends for a lot of these events, which is why I'm hesitant to say that Eddie is being excluded for the sole purpose. It's so so subtle, and I feel like if we didn't know these two were canon we would not be looking at this the way we are. I think Clown and the rest of the Welcome Home team did a phenomenal job with the script writing and I love the subtly they put into the website for this.
Now onto why I actually think Eddie is seemingly being written out of the show. Why would Eddie out of this extremely queer cast, who is in a pretty well-hidden relationship with another puppet, be the target? Why not Frank? It's because of two reasons. Eddie is dispensable and Frank is acting out.
What does Eddie really do in this show that any other character is not already doing? Being the butt of most jokes? Well, to be honest, Frank could easily fill the archetype if needed, probably even better than Eddie since they are cast as the town grump. He delivers letters? The neighborhood is extremely small in scale (at least from what I'm seeing on the website) and honestly letter could be delivered by hand if needed. The Scaredy-Cat persona? Poppy has that covered. In conclusion, as much as we love Eddie, he is dispensable.
The previous update is one I also thought was for sure Frank's doing. I think it's pretty clear from the bug symbolism everywhere. In my opinion, I think Frank is aware that they live in a show, which is why they are so much more careful about potential outings than Eddie and why they whisper Eddie's name at the end of the hidden tape. Like they are afraid of being caught. So Frank is acting out, attempting to show the viewer more about the inner lives of the puppets. And as we see in this update, they removed all traces of their interpherence.
So what are they going to do about Frank now? They can't exactly remove him. They play too much of an important role. Nearly all children's media has one character who fills the grump archetype. So Frank has to stay, but they have to punish him in some way. How do they do that? Take away their partner.
And now that Julie is going into hibernation, and Eddie is suspected to be going away...who is Frank going to have now?

Hello! I'm sorry if this is a weird ask, feel free to ignore if you want, but I would like to know how would you think the Sakamaki's would react to Laito strutting in high heels?
(also can I go as ❤️🔥 anon? It's a burning heart if you can't see)
oooooop?
I’m still in bed as I’m typing prolly the first half of this out (just woke up) but this honestly was an interesting ask (congrats, you are now nixxio’s ❤️🔥 anon, you shall suffer like the rest of the anons here//j)
Small little tw I suppose >>> There's a brief mention of homophobia and transphobia in this ask, but nothing detailed or explicit to be known- So just keep it in mind
sorta of a long post below >>>>
OKAYYYYY- I wanna first talk about how Laito got himself into the whole act of strutting.
Kou. That's it, end of ask
No but I feel like with all the clubbing and whatnot, that's how Laito possibly could've found his brief interest in such a thing. Also convinced this man has been to drag shows as well, so that just adds more fuel to the fire. As for where he got the heels...Does it REALLY need to be said with how he does get around with women on a daily?
He doesn't even slip or anything when first walking in heels, he treats it as nothing- A walk in the park simply. Laito prolly has worn high heels to school before and simply nobody took it in (Just to be cunty I guess????)
okay now time for reactions amongst the rest of the Sakamakis
Ayato >>> Finds it the funniest shit alive actually
I don't know, he doesn't find it as it being a trans interest from his triplet, but a simple act of comedy that gets on the rest of the households nerves.
I can probably count up to 6+ times where Ayato purposely tries tripping Laito up//down the stairs WHILE he is in heels, it's priceless.
He sorta wants to try strutting himself in heels just to see how it is.
Ayato sprained his ankle within the first ten minutes of being in the heels (It's not for everyone)
Ayato also uses Laito's ability to strut in heels for his own media uses, he'll take videos just to post them and gain attention (taking all the credit in fact of putting his triplet in heels)
He seems pretty cool with it, finds it entertaining every time w//Laito, but he also enjoys it because it's something Laito does for Ayato to get him in a better mood at times, despite it being...Silly. He doesn't judge his brother for wearing heels other than jokingly calling him a queer or a drag, doesn't care what Laito does either way
Kanato >>> Hates it
He has no interest whatsoever in the art of strutting, ESPECIALLY when it's coming from his perverted brother.
Kanato in fact finds the noise of heels against the floor annoying, whether it's a spike or flat platform. Sure, he's into the doll aesthetic of clothing with the cute heels and stuff, but least they don't CLICK CLACK CLICK CLICK CLA- (i'm shutting up)
Not to mention how Laito is already taller than Kanato, the heels just add more which Kanato takes STRONG offense to as seeing it as a way to taunt Kanato for being 5'5
Laito has offered Kanato try the many pairs of heels he owns (stole) but Kanato wants NOTHING whatsoever to do with them
Shu >>> Ehhhhhh?
He doesn't really care what Laito does, or any of his siblings overall. He barely keeps his eyes open, so why would Laito strutting be entertaining?
I guess the times he is awake and it happened to be when Laito is in heels, he'll take a moment or so to watch him, but that's really it.
You guys know the fucking drama cd where everyone is drunk to FUCK except Subaru (I have a yt link to the Vampire Juice cd if anyone is curious) And how Shu is just a laughing hysteric mess drunk?
Yeah, drunk Shu + strutting Laito = Pure madness
It's like a literal circus, Shu looses his voice drunk with a flushed face seeing Laito and heels, and it gets better when Ayato trips him and stuff too.
Reiji >>> "You're only tarnishing the Sakamaki name"
Doesn't appreciate this side of Laito, thinking him wearing any form of female clothing is disgusting nonetheless (Hi I'm one of those DL blogs who is convinced Reiji Sakamaki is homphobic and wants nothing to do with queers, trans people, etc...)
Has probably yelled at Laito wayyy too many times for him to not walk in heels around the mansion, as the noise disturbs the peace. Reiji also has a thing for finding markings on the floor from when Ayato attempted to try sturtting and tripped and scratched the wooden material//other material of the floor up (Which now he has to get rid of all over the place)
When it comes to wearing heels out in public, Reiji doesn't care, just as long as he isn't in the presence of Laito himself. As they enter the limo to get to school, and Laito comes in wearing the heels, you can hear Reiji heavily sigh and rub his face under his glasses.
Subaru >>> Fucking fed up
If Subaru hears "She's a super queen (duper queen) She's droppin', she's flippin', she's winnin'" ONE more time, he is blowing the mansion up.
He has nothing against drag queens and stuff (Because he doesn't seriously care about them) But the music makes him want to fucking kill himself
When Laito strunts, Subaru is his target to tease and bother the most.
And don't get Subaru started with the heel noises too, he hates them MORE than Kanato.
Subaru was resting in his coffin one time only to hear those fucking heels pranching and struttig on the LID of the coffin. (He sent Laito flying when he opened it with full force)
When he hears just one click clack from the heels, Subaru knows it's over for him and his patiences, right out the damn window. He gets headaches rather easily, and Laito strutting DOESN'T help them.

POLARIS TRANS*
A poem for Pride. Continued under the read more.
As I grew from a little girl to a teenage boy, They said I should call myself trans*, with a star at the end: A star for something unfinished; a star for possibility.
As I grew from a teenage boy to a femme young adult, They said I should call myself trans, with no star at the end: That the star’s sharp points only served to cut and divide.
As I grew from a femme to a gloriously butch dykefag, I thought again about the star of my youth And about all the things it can stand for:
Trans* is for transgender— It’s for language that grows and shifts Like a living being; like a tree; like a child; For Sylvia’s Transgender Action Revolutionaries And for the kids at their high school GSA Walking into the club with their hearts in their hands.
Trans* is for transgressive— It’s for shattering expectations Shattering societies, boundaries, and binaries Like panes of fractured glass; The glass was breaking already, you know, But now we can turn it into a mosaic.
Trans* is for transsexual— It’s for those who pick up an old word That they’ve been told is “outdated” And brush the scorn off of it Like dust off of fine China To display it with pride on the shelf.
Trans* is for transformation— It’s for the little girls who became men, For the little boys who became women, For everyone who became everything, For everyone who became nothing, For everyone who became.
Trans* is for transvestite— It’s for shedding the skin you were forced into Like a snake shedding too-tight scales And growing something that fits you better; Making something new and beautiful, Wearing something beautiful and yours.
Trans* is for transitory— It’s for those of us whose gender shifts Like the phases of the moon; For people who fall asleep a femme fag And wake up a butch dyke And repeat the process again in a week.
Trans* is for tranny— It’s for picking up the stick they beat you with And sharpening it to a spear; Holding it up to defend yourself, To defend your kin, and saying: “You really wanna mess with us?”
Trans* is for those who reject the New Queer Binary— Who answer “Are you transfem or transmasc?” With an annoyed “Neither, actually”; Whose gender is not silence, but absence of noise; For men who are also women, For lesbians who are also gay men; For people so outside the binary That “nonbinary” feels like a chain around their throat; Maybe you can’t be cis and trans But I know you can be cis and trans*, And I know that you can’t draw a line between genders Like the respectable queers pretend you can.
Trans* is for all of us— For boydykes and girlfags, For queens and kings and crossdressers, For masculine women and feminine men, For my oft-excluded intersex darlings; For FTMs who wear suits and MTFs who wear gowns, For MTFs who wear suits and FTMs who wear gowns; For those on hormones and those who eschew them, For those who change their name and those who don’t; For those who want surgery to get a penis or a vagina, And those who want surgery to get both, And those who want surgery to have nothing.
Trans* is for everyone who marked the path we walk on now— It’s for Lili and Dr. Barry, For Roberta and Christine, For Marsha and Sylvia, For Stormé and Miss Major, For Leslie and Lou; And for so many others whose names we do not know Because they were blessed with the safety of privacy Or cursed with the violence of erasure.
If you asked me to name trans-with-a-star I’d tell you to call them Polaris Trans* The gender-variant community’s guiding light.
Trans* tells us where to go— To follow the paths cut by our predecessors, While keeping their drive to explore untrodden ground. To offer our hands for each other: Both to raise each other up when we fall And to fight when we’re under attack.
Trans* tells us who we are— We are faggots and dykes and sissies and queens, We are a bunch of rowdy queers who won’t shut up; We are armed with bottles and glasses, With bats and pens, with guns and paint; We are the people who have only survived Because when nobody would take care of us, When respectable queers treated us like a stain on their flag, We took care of each other.
Trans* tells us who to be— It tells us that we must be so brave and so strong, And so scared and so soft. That we must save our anger for those who hurt us, And not turn it on each other. That we must hold each other accountable for harm, But understand we are all flawed humans, And that mistakes are not unforgivable. That we must not hurt our trans* siblings For daring to be trans* in a way we cannot understand, And that you don’t need to know exactly what stars are made of To love how they shine in the sky.
Historical Notes
The figures referred to in the thirteenth stanza are, in order: Lili Elbe, Dr. James Barry, Roberta Cowell, Christine Jorgensen, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Stormé DeLarverie, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, Leslie Feinberg, and Lou Sullivan.
Sylvia Rivera is the same Sylvia mentioned in stanza four. In the 1970s, Sylvia and Marsha founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries together. They provided housing and care for homeless gay and trans* youth while working towards broader goals of achieving trans* liberation. Sylvia and Marsha kept their kids fed and housed through funds they raised via sex work.
Sylvia would later say that the death of STAR came at the 1973 Christopher Street Liberation Day Parade, where trans* activists were told they couldn’t speak on stage. Sylvia and drag queen Lee Brewster physically fought their way to the stage and criticized the gay community for abandoning the trans* community after the trans* community had spent years fighting for rights for all of them. Lesbian activist Jean O’Leary verbally attacked them both, claiming that drag was “misogynistic” and “demeaning”, and that trans* people had no place in the gay rights movement. Receiving such a devastating rejection from people Sylvia had considered friends pushed her out of working in activism for many years.
Marsha was tragically murdered in 1992 at the age of 47. Eight years later, in response to the murder of trans woman Amanda Milan, Sylvia resurrected STAR as the Street Transgender Action Revolutionaries. While Marsha and Sylvia were both integral to the initial work of STAR, I refer to it as “Sylvia’s” in the fourth stanza to make it clear I’m referring specifically to the later incarnation, which used “transgender” in their name. You can read more about Sylvia’s life in her essay “Queens in Exile, the Forgotten Ones”, written just before her fiftieth birthday in 2001. The closing paragraphs of the essay are, in my mind, both a profoundly valiant rallying cry and an agonizing indictment of our community’s failures:
Before I die, I will see our community given the respect we deserve. I'll be damned if I'm going to my grave without having the respect this community deserves. I want to go to wherever I go with that in my soul and peacefully say I've finally overcome. Editor's Note: Sylvia died on February 19, 2002, from complications of liver cancer. She was 50 years old.

mtf barty? i don’t think i’ve ever seen that before, color me intrigued
she goes by Bee mostly. it’s feminine enough for her liking but in her mind got a badass edge to it due to the sting factor which she likes a lot. she started growing out her hair starting high school and was always the weird loner kid with the long-ish hair, dark clothes sitting alone at lunch with a fuckin pocket knife leering at everyone that came too close. so much fucking rage and resent in her body it makes her physically look sick, pale skin, always dark shadows under her eyes. junior year she came out and obviously that was a fucking mess. she keeps getting sent to the principals office/into detention for starting fights or mouthing off at other students being transphobic. obviously the arguments with her dad only get worse from then on out to the point where Bee punches walls and shit, destroys picture frames or like stuff in Bartemius’ office and he gets all up in her face about it
warning for child abuse, misgendering/deadnaming kind of (and general trans and homophobia) uuh and knife violence but like no cutting
“Stop, Barty!” her father roars just as Bee picks another picture frame off his desk and volleys it into the corner of the room. “I said Stop!”
“Or fuckin’ what?” Bee spits, temples throbbing with anger, “You already treat me like scum! How’s it supposed to get any worse around here?!”
She blinks furious tears out of her eyes, breaking his gaze to look for something else to let her emotions out at. Before Bee has the opportunity to get her hands on something else Bartemius is there, fingers clasped harshly around her biceps. “You keep doing that and see where it gets you.”
His voice is dark and it reminds Bee of the few months after her mum died.
Her father would come home late from whatever shit hole bar he drank himself half to unconsciousness after work. Bee would microwave the leftover dinner and make sure he’d fall asleep sideways on the couch. Unless he came with questions. Half delirious, a tennis match of back and forth between What did you get on your English test? and Where’s your mother? and Why not full score? and Why do you always wear your hair so long? You look dirty. Like a queer. And he’d work himself up, get angry until he’d backhand Bee across the face if she made the mistake of standing too close.
But Bee isn’t 14 anymore and she’s frankly at her fucking limit.
Today they’re about the same height. “You don’t scare me anymore,” she growls, trying to tug free.
They both jostle in place but Bartemius’ grip is iron resolute.
A muscle in her father’s jaw flutters, “You’ve lost all respect. So long as your under my roof you listen to my rules, son.”
His words are like embers to the gasoline mess that’s burning in Bee’s bloodstream.
“I’m not your fucking son!” she rips her elbow back with enough force to make him stumble and just as quickly throws her arm back out hitting her fist right against his cheek.
Bartemius’ head whips around at the impact as he staggers back and onto his desk and Bee has to suppress the violent urge to pick up the chair next to her and throw it after him as well. A strand of hair is stuck in her mouth, fringe fallen into her eyes, and her chest heaves up and down with the absolute frustration boiling inside her.
Her father rolls his jaw, swiveling to glare back at her. “Now that wasn’t very ladylike, was it?”
Before she knows it Bee has reached into her back pocket and flipped out the blade of her pocket knife, held precisely against the aorta of Bartemius’ throat. “You’re just bitter you got your shit rocked by a girl.”
“Careful.” Her father growls, tone warning but Bee is done listening.
“Leave me alone or watch yourself choke on your dinner on a random Thursday night from rat poisoning,” Bee hisses, shoving the blade deeper before turning on her heel and storming out. One more second in his presence and she would find herself with a one way ticket into juvie.

Hey, real quick, need this person to actually do some research into the 4b movement and recognize how unhelpful and actually harmful and detrimental to the furthering of civil rights in South Korea it actually is or shut the fuck up (maybe they should just shut the fuck up if they think comparing a hateful terfy-esc politcal lesbianism ass "movement" to aroace people is any way appropriate or accurate in any type of way)
Because like, the crazy part is I found this person when I was terf blocking and they had posts on their blog in supprt of trans people and seem to not be drinking the terf coolaid, but they are putting the full force of their posting power behind supporting the 4b movement and it's like, buddy, my guy, do you have any modicum of self awareness 😭😭😭
The 4b movement is a transphobic, homophobic mess that is basically the same as the American political lesbianism movement that was full of cishet women using spite as their main motivating factor forcing themselves to be lesbians, because they just hated men so much they decided to make a bunch of actual lesbians and queer women hella uncomfortable for a hot minute, and just like political lesbianism the 4b movement is built to fail in a way that will only serve to hurt queer people in South Korea and will ultimately be completely ineffectual in achieving any boons to civil rights for women in the country
It's not just a movement full of bigots, though that should not be understated, it's also just like ... not an effective tactic for furthering the cause
Like yeah we can talk all day about how 4b is basically a combination of old political lesbianism ideology and recent terf ideology mixed together with some of their own brand of crazy thrown in for flavor, for hours on end, but like it shouldn't be understated that it's also literally an extremely ineffectual political movement with ineffectual tactics that will only serve to set back the fight for women's rights in South Korea rather than doing what they promise to do, there is never going to be a case of civil rights fighting where you have to throw one minority under the bus for another and have that be a good thing in the end. By being a queerphobic movement motivated by spite and hate existing mostly for the purposes of revenge and punishment towards cishet men rather than being one motivated by the hope and the belief that the society around them can change and get better for everyone, including the cishet men that are also being subjected to a societal ordering that harms them in their own unique ways, the 4b movment has already failed in their stated goal of furthering the civil rights of women
No movement can survive solely on spite and revenge, it's just not possible, if you want a better world you have to start with better intentions and the 4b movement is nothing but a bigoted reactionary group of slighted human beings who turned around to become bigots and bullies in response to the bigotry and bullying they were on the receiving end of, they are not aspirational, they are sad and pathetic and one day the 4b movement will dissolve and all that will be left are the people they hurt, I hope you recognize which side you should be on

The radfem-fueled firestorm of hate Erica Moen(the author of Oh Joy Sex Toy) got on this site really is so fucking messed up to think about, like for a while there everyone decided it was just totally fine to vitriolocally loathe an openly queer woman who used to be a lesbian before realizing she was bi and used her platform for sex education and to uplift the voices of marginalized and/or kinky people including talking about taboo/weird kinks even when she got attacked for it.
Like yes there were legit slip ups at times, do not get me wrong, but I never saw anyone talking about anything other than the furry piss kink comic, one comic where she made a joke about having IBS, jokes about her husband for listening to podcasts while doing anal prep, saying she was fetishizing and disrespecting trans people bcs she made a comic about enjoying packing despite being cis, and calling her a creepy predator for *checks notes* finding women attractive. Proves that it was never about actually dealing with the issues, it was about hating a bisexual "traitor" who openly embraced kink.
We all talk about how the shit John Green went through was messed up but no one ever talks about Erica Moen and how she was(and still is in some corners) treated like a horrid monster for trying to help people and being honest about her experiences.
#make absolutely no mistake the hate against her was a lot of radfem anti-kink biphobic bulllshit#this also happened at the hight of ace and truscum discourse so like yeah

i'm just gonna leave this here... CW!!!!! my advice is unfollow/block me if any of the following upsets u, i'll know there's no mind changing that can happen...
At this point… i don't fucking care anymore… I REALLY FUCKING DON'T! Times HAVE Changed…
i've been on here for a few years, but i felt like i wasn't allowed to express how I REALLY WANTED TO FEEL about alot of things because i know i wouldn't be on here if i did. so i'll put it here…
I don't think drag queens should be representing stuff meant for CHILDREN!(like Care Bears and "drag queen story hour") I don't think LGBTQ+ should be persistently and insistently pushed/inserted onto content that's always originally been meant for CHILDREN!!!(Like CARE BEARS!(and it's not just care bears btw believe it or not)) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer; What the fuck do you think that stands for?????
You can't look at me with a straight face and tell me, "trans lives matter" WHEN I DO KNOW MINORS ACROSS THE WORLD ARE GENUINELY SUFFERING FROM GENDER DYSPHORIA!(individuals confused about their "gender identity") it's messed up. IT REALLY IS! Sadly alot of people have been manipulated to genuinely believe that if they're born a man (parts n all), they're REALLY A WOMAN because their "feelings" told them so… ("pronouns" play a part in it) There are generally 2 sides to arguments like this where people say "think about the children"… I don't think YOU KNOW what that means…
it means let kids be kids!!!
it means no matter how subtly you try to phrase it, you PROTECT the INNOCENCE of children's content, not give corporations (even if they DON'T pay attention), ideas how to present certain characters i.e. Superstar Bear is Non-Binary, or Funshine is Transgender (it was a marketing decision back in the early 2000's, i doubt they ACTUALLY sat in an office room and explicitly pushed this idea that Funshine IS IN FACT transgender). (YOU'RE ALLOWED TO THINK WHAT YOU WANT TO THINK BUT PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE EXPOSED TO IT AND END UP HAVING TO THINK ABOUT IT). Wouldn't you THINK if MINORS are on the internet in general, they PROBABLY shouldn't see "nsfw" themes and ideas unless they're ACTIVELY searching for it? "shudders" i don't care, LGBTQ+ is OVERALL "sexual identification", IT'S NSFW, stop fucking lying about it and trying to distance it from what it ACTUALLY IS with what YOU WANT IT TO BE!
Do i think EVERYONE who's pro-LGBTQ+ is bad??? (Drag is part of it too, please don't lie…)
FUCK. NO!!!!!
i'm aware of "Gays Against Groomers", and respect what they're trying to do, which is to prevent the "inappropriate grooming" of underaged individuals while also being part of the LGBTQ community and embracing their "pride"!
I just think people have been psychologically scarred by the rhetoric that's been pushed and are in many ways mentally destroyed by it and in need of some SERIOUS HELP!
Some might say "get a therapist"; I say, FIND A CONSERVATIVE THERAPIST! Someone who "morally knows" right from wrong. (i know you'll probably think this, but religion is part of all cultures wether you like it or not; rolling your eyes to the back of your head don't help.)
i wish people were more aware of how fucked up WE, as humans, have truly become, but i guess collectively we may never understand what that means and it's a damn shame…
just because you were told as a kid, "you can do whatever you want as an adult and be whatever you want to be", doesn't mean that there is absolutely NO rules, standards OR morals you have to follow.
FIND GOD! FIND SOMEBODY!! JUST…SOMETHING!!!
I GET IT, PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO HEAR "THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY" AND CARE SO LITTLE TO WANT TO HEAR IT THAT THEY JUST, don't. maybe it's time to look in the mirror and start to consider the possibility that, maybe, we are all PART OF "THE PROBLEM"… (personal thoughts be damned to hell)
"The Problem", in that, so many people are becoming more and more of an ever-growing, degenerative culture/society that cares SO MUCH about ourselves on an individual basis, that you don't realize that in the end, you don't CARE ABOUT YOURSELVES AT ALL, OR THE FUTURE, OR ANY THING!!! You wanna do/believe things that's odd/weird to others??? Go the fuck right on ahead, BE YOU! Just don't remind the rest of us, unless we (on an individual basis) are curious about it ourselves. sorry if this all sounded "transphobic", idk what else to tell you, it's my opinion, i believe in "free speech", sorry if you don't.
#care bears#rant#not just care bears but kid-friendly stuff in general#probably not gonna post for a while#i'm done tolerating this kind of rhetoric

Call to a tag list for "About a Girl"
Hey guys! Don't worry, I'm not starting a new series until I finish FTLT and awakening AT LEAST but I wanted to see primitively if anyone wanted a tag.
Joel Miller x transfem!Reader
90's no outbreak au
Summary: Joel is a busy man. As a farmhand, the hours can be long, especially during busy seasons and this makes it difficult as a young dad with an ex-wife who is unpredictable as Texas rain. Lucky for him, he has lots of help. His brother lives with him, partially because he's an alcoholic whose gotten evicted 3 times, partially because Joel needed help. His friend Tess and coworker Tess is like family, and although Bill and Frank live out of town he can trust them with 6-year-old Sarah in a pinch. It's chaotic, Joel barely getting by with his sanity.
When Tommy convinces Joel to take a night off, Joel begrudgingly accepts and says it'll be just an hour or two. That is, until Tommy drags him to a local show where he runs into a friend...
You.
Joel is quickly smitten despite the aesthetic difference between you. You wear leather and ride a motorcycle with a blue streak in your hair, edge compared to Joel's dirty country boy look. The one commonality? You're both wearing flannel. Grunge and country find common ground.
It's not until after your first date that Joel finds out you're trans. Joel's not a dick. He's friends with Bill and Frank after all... but he doesn't know what anything means, he has 1000 questions and he's not sure he should ask any of them. It's the 90's, there's not really the same resources in small town Texas. Despite his awkwardness and confusion, Joel knows one thing.
He wants to be with you.
Warnings: Lots of talk of gender and sexuality, there will be smut don't worry, reader is post-op, Joel being akward and sometimes saying the wrong things but its genuinely out of not knowing. He loves reader very much and is ready to learn. There will be some transphobia bc it's the 90's but we don't dwell on it and Joel protects reader <3 nothing physical. Alcoholism and Tommy being a mess.
I know this isn't everyones cup of tea but I wanted to think beyond afab!fem!reader and try something knew since I am trans and queer.
Comment or reblog if you want to be tagged!!!

hey, what the fuck is happening over there [hungary]?????
oh, god hi fens it's a mess
europe is having eu parliament elections, which are kind of a big deal and every party here is campaigning to have their candidate sent so that they can influence eu policy or whatever.
At the same time, there's a new party called "Tisza" (both the name of a major river and an acronym for "purity and freedom") lead by a young former government politican called Magyar Péter. He's ridiculously popular rn. Dude knows how to move crowds and wants Hungary to catch up to eu standards which we are definietly not reaching under Fidesz (current govt. party) Obviously I don't trust him entirely but they've got a legit chance of making things better and that is GOOD.
Other parties exist as well, but they've got no relevance, no voter base, and nobody wants them: These include Mi hazánk (nazis) and Kétfarkú kutyapárt (two tailed dog party) who are there for the meme and nothing else, their candidate showed up in a leather jacket to a debate and made jokes the whole time. (iconic) There's also a bunch of others but no one likes them all that much
Still at the same time, Fidesz has been at power for 12 fucking years. (one thing Tisza wants to do is limit this to 8 years max for future elections) And they've got this fucking country in the middle of a mass hysteria episode.
Their talking points include:
George Soros/Soros György is sending (arab) immigrants here to rape women and do crime and he pays leftist politicans to do this for him. And this is good for them because...? (they are cartoon villians dont question it pls)
2. Bruxelles (eu parliament) bad because they do gender and immigration (because of George Soros)
This George Soros thing got to the point where the current eu rep. went to a debate and accused all other candidates there, to their faces, of being paid by him. like, to their faces live on public television.
3. THE WAR -> according to our prime minister Orbán Viktor, all other parties except them want to bring back the draft and send hungarian boys to Ukraine to fight (absolutely deranged idea, no party wants this, they keep saiyng they don't) and also he's saying that Europe is heading towards a third world war and they are going to change this if they get into the eu parliament (they are in, right now, too.)
This has gotten to the point where they've got posters and ads about how there is going to be war and only they can save us. Magyar Péter appeared on tv saying he's been approached by a teacher whose students, 9-10 years old, were afraid that a burning house across the lake from their summercamp meant we were being bombed by Russia. (He's a politican so take this anecdote with a grain of salt)
...Anyway the chatch is that the govt. has allegedly been sending hungarian soliders to Chad this whole time so theyve got 0 right to say anything about them potentially being sent to Ukraine maybe.
4. Child protection from i guess queer people..? This one was big until recently, they banned mentions of queer people from schools, (before florida did btw) removed self-identification for trans people, ect.
This child protection "GENDER IDEOLÓGIA" (no we don't use the word gender in hungarian, they just left it in english) campaign ended when our president pardonned a pedophile children's home headmaster a few months ago, sparked an outrage, and had to step down. They've yet to apologise to the kids, btw. (The president in question, Novák Katalin, what a fucking girlboss, belonged to that far right Mi Hazánk party i mentioned before btw) They haven't been talking about protecting the children since, strangely.
there's also going to be a battery factory in Debdrecen (2nd largest city) which everyone hates and nobody wants and it's polluting the farmlands and the groundwater around there.
SO. YEAH. yay for hungary this is barely scratching the surface

i love your blog so so much ty for being a f/f safe space in the m/f and m/m dominated dgrp fandom 🫂 pls drop some maki or celes queer hcs i love my little red eyed girls
ofc!! <3 Already did Maki, so here's finally the chance to get into my Very Thorough And Specific Celestia Gender Headcanons, Buckle Up
(Warning for discussion of internalized transphobia throughout!)
This is going to be a curveball even for people who share the trans girl Celestia headspace, but I actually don't think that Celestia realizes she's a girl at any point we witness her in canon.
Celestia. To Me. Is engaging in high school equivalent of drag. Because she's playing out a persona she was in roleplay forums as a middle schooler. If you're a Young Teen, going on the internet, finding a roleplay website, and going buckwild was a lot of people's Baby's First Queer Experience. There were so many websites. They used to have sections of the Quizilla dedicated to it.
And Celestia is...obviously the type of person who lived on those forums. Look At Her. Look At How She Acts. This is a girl who is committed to The Persona. Celestia had a Twilight OC with eight names that she religiously played as daily until everyone collectively decided Twilight wasn't cool and she summarily locked it up forever. She loves a guise.
"Celestia" is an extension of that. Hope's Peak is a brand new place! No one knows her name! No one knows who she is! It's the perfect place to practice her Roleplay Craft. Look at how Feminine TM "she" is! (Wow wearing these dresses is so nice. Celestia loves these dresses. Anyway TM) Look at how prim and proper "she" is! Celestia is a character come to life, V3-style, except her GM is completely aware and in control.
I don't think, in THH proper, she ever gets past this. I think in Celestia's head she's always Faking It. She's always Pretending To Be A Woman, Haha, JK! She's always got the out to recede back into when one day someone learns she Isn't A Real Woman. It was just a play! You all just got played!
There's only one time I think we ever see a hint of Celestia who truly understands and embraces that she's a girl. And that's here.
This is my favorite art of Celestia, because it's the most genuine she's ever been in her entirely life. She's blushing! She's engaging in silly antics instead of just demanding they stop! She's doing silly teenage "I am YANKING YOUR FAKE EYELASHES OFF" threats instead of sexually charged adult "I am STEPPING ON YOU PIG" threats! This is the only glimpse we ever get of a Celestia who lets the mask slip in a real sense, not just because she's angry. This is a Celestia who's willingly let her guard down enough that she can get flustered and mess around.
And I really think that would be the catalyst for her. I think Celestia being forced to acknowledge "Actually I love this life, and I love this long hair, and I love make-up and dresses, and I love being called Celestia and grouped with the girls" is one of the biggest steps towards vulnerability she'll ever make.
In a world where Summer Camp and UTDP really explored their own implications, we could've seen more of this Celeste. But since we didn't, I cling with love to my headcanon that, even though it's not where she changes her name or buys her wig, This is where Celestia starts to heal.
