The rain patters down mercilessly, the tip-tap sound from where it’s hitting your file awfully loud. You break into a slight jog, holding the black file above your head as if it would offer some sort of protection against the downpour.
You were on the way back from the university, and had conveniently ignored your roommate’s reminders to bring an umbrella earlier that morning, because oh, are you sure you checked the forecast for the right day? and it hasn’t rained in weeks – why the hell would it rain today? Unfortunately, it did rain today.
The dampness soaked through your shoes as you moved, splashing upwards to wet your pants. You let out an exasperated sigh and lift your head, eyes darting around to seek shelter until the rain subsided.
In your peripheral vision, you could see a library – but that was way too chilly, given the way you were trembling. There was a bar, but… that was where your weird neighbour, Carl, went every evening. And you were in absolutely no mood to entertain his rambling. You wrap your arms around yourself, shivering as you trot a little further in an attempt to find a decent place. Wetness was seeping into your clothes, igniting a chill throughout your entire body.
As the seconds ticked by, you felt the frustration building up. Everything was just going so wrong today. Your lecturer had returned your analysis of Pride and Prejudice, and you had done so badly that it had to be redone. Plus, you were supposed to go out with Madison for lunch, but she had fallen horribly sick. And now, the torrential rain seemed to be mocking you – adding insult to injury.
The warm orange lighting of a sign came into view, and you squint your eyes to make out the words. Rubbing water off your face, you realise that the sign said Beanie’s. Well, it was a cafe – that was good enough. As you veered off the pathway to the right, you could smell freshly-baked cookies and coffee from the place. It better be warm inside, you thought. One more screw-up, and you genuinely believed you would burst.
You come to a stop outside the cafe, taking laboured gasps of air to catch your breath. You shake the water off your file and push the door open, stepping inside.
Fortunately, it was warm inside – you could feel the hot air blowing onto your skin immediately, drying your clothes from inside out. But to your misfortune, the heat seemed to be spreading to your face as well when you caught sight of the person behind the counter.
It had completely slipped your mind. But now it was all coming back to you, staring at his chiselled arms as he placed a plate of bagels on a tray. Your incident a few weeks ago, when you’d embarrassingly frozen on the spot and let the hot barista pick your donuts for you.
That had weighed on your mind for days, the way you had humiliated yourself in front of possibly the most angelic person on earth, and how said angel had treated you as though you were some kind of delicate flower.
You glance back out at the rain, drawing your lip in between your teeth as you contemplated your options. Either you went back out there, or you moved forward and ordered from Mr. Super Hot Barista. And you were definitely not going back into the rain.
Sucking in a deep breath, you brushed your soaked hair out of your face and wiped your hands on your sweatshirt. You shake off as much water as possible before walking towards the counter, feeling shivers run down your spine – from the cold or from shyness, you weren’t sure.
“Hi.” It comes out unnecessarily loudly, and you cringe. You actively try not to ogle at him, and your eyes fall on the tag on his shirt. Remus, it said. For fuck’s sake, even his name was pretty.
Mr. Super Hot Barista – Remus – looked up from the cookies he was boxing, his hazel eyes meeting yours. You could have sworn something like recognition flashed in his gaze. “Hey,” he smiled easily.
It was happening again, and you hated it. You felt your throat start to go dry as you held his gaze, and his smile slowly widened. You swallowed nervously, the quick drip, drip of water from your hair mirroring how fast your heart was beating. He very well knew the effect he was having on you, and was taking full advantage of it.
“So,” Remus started, “What would you like to order, sweetness?”
You thought you were going to pass out from the sheer amount of endearment in the nickname, eyes widening and cheeks turning pink. But you were a strong, independent young woman. And you were not going to let some random barista knock you off your feet.
“One small cappuccino, please,” you squeak, horrified at how small your voice was.
“Right,” he ducked his head to key it into the register, and you resist the urge to reach out and brush your fingers through his gorgeous curls. “And would you like any chocolate donuts with that?”
You swore your stomach flipped upside down at the comment – he remembered your little situation. Your hands come up to cover your reddening cheeks as you involuntarily let out an embarrassed groan.
The sound of his soft chuckle only exacerbates the sensation of your heart bobbing up and down in your chest. “Sorry, sorry – just messing with you.”
You let out a strangled sort of noise, still unwilling to look up and let him see just how flushed you probably were. When you press your face further into your palms, his voice softens. “Hey, I’m not trying to put you on the spot, I swear. I’m sorry.”
The slight tinge of guilt in his voice makes you look up immediately as you drop your hands to your sides. You see him standing in front of the coffee machine, preparing your cappuccino. “No, no. You’re not putting me on the spot, I’m just –” you sputter out, letting out a nervous chortle.
“God, you’re really embarrassed, aren’t you?” he breathes out in quiet laughter. “Calm down, pretty girl. I promise I won’t bite.” That majorly sucks, you thought. You envisioned how his lips would look biting into a cream puff, cursing yourself for even thinking of it a moment later.
“Okay,” you mumble, flipping your slightly less damp hair over your shoulder. And the next thing you utter, you don’t even think about it before saying it. “Don’t call me pretty girl.”
You immediately slap a hand to your mouth, eyes widening in shock at your own tongue. Literature students, and the yappers they are, Madison had once complained. Now you knew just how right she was.
Remus let out an amused snort, his lips curving upwards in a grin. “Okay, sorry, sweetness.”
“Don’t call me that either.”
“Someone’s picky,” he muttered, the smile still on his face as he pressed a lid onto the cup of coffee before pushing it towards you. “What can I call you, then?”
“Y/n,” you mumble, praying that your delight at having been asked your name was not showing on your face.
“Y/n,” he lets it roll around on his tongue, a sweet smile playing on his lips. He scribbles something onto your cup. “That’s a nice name.”
“You too,” you say without thinking, glancing downwards to pull money out the pocket of your pants. You look up to find him eyeing you with his eyebrow arched. A giggle escapes you as you point at his nametag. “Remus, right?”
He looks down at his shirt and chuckles, realisation lighting up his face. “Yeah, my name’s Remus.”
Remus glances back up as you drop the money into his hand. And you’re very careful not to let your fingers brush against his palm this time.
His smile was soft and sunny, making it feel like it had never even rained in the first place. “Bye.”
“Bye,” you echo, your heart fluttering in your chest as you offer him a smile. You turn around to find a table, and just then realise that the cafe was as crowded as it was the last time you were here, if not more.
You purse your lips worriedly. It was still storming outside, and you really needed to get started on your failed analysis and your newly assigned one –
“Y/n!”
You swivel back around to find Remus grinning at you. “You can sit here,” he gestures at the bar stools in front of the platform, which were unoccupied. “I get lonely anyway. It’ll be nice to have some fun company.”
“Oh,” you murmur, an unignorable sense of relief settling over you. “Okay, thanks.” You make your way over, setting your coffee and tote bag down on the platform before hauling yourself up onto the stool.
As he picks up donuts and packs them into boxes, you pull out your book and a stack of foolscap. Remus glances up at the sound, his face immediately lighting up. “M.L. Rio?”
You nod. If We Were Villains was the next book you were assigned to work on.
“That was a good book,” he says casually as he begins to work again. “Why, are you annotating it or something?”
You try not to beam. He reads, your brain was screaming at you. He reads and he has excellent fucking taste. Could he possibly be more perfect?
“Not just annotating,” you reply, a pleased lilt to your voice. “Analysing, for a project. Oh – I forgot to mention, I’m majoring in literature.”
“Literature, huh?” he grins as he sets his tongs down, and he looks almost bemused. “Interesting.”
You pull out a pen and begin to write, the smile never fading from your face. He lets you work in silence, the only sound being the metallic clinking of tongs as he packs pastries into bags and boxes.
“Hot take,” he says suddenly, a couple minutes later. You look up, surprised. “I don’t believe James was some sort of tragic hero, as people make him out to be. I think he was the villain.”
“No.”
“Yes,” he snorts, and a laugh bubbles out of you. “That’s a ridiculous opinion.”
Remus rolls his eyes. “As a literature student, I think you need to be more open-minded.”
“The title is ‘If We Were Villains’, not ‘I Am The Villain’!” you retort indignantly, earning a loud bout of laughter from him. He shakes his head indulgently, continuing to stack boxes. “Great point.”
You can hear the deadpan in his voice, but decide to take it as a victory anyway. Grinning, you get back to your book as a comfortable silence settles over the both of you.
It was hard, but you were trying your hardest not to glance up at him every once in a while. The glowy orange light on the ceiling shone down on him, and you felt your curiosity growing towards the pale scars that decorated his face.
Whenever he caught you staring, you immediately evaded his gaze and took a sip of your coffee, or jotted something onto your paper. You thought you may have seen him trying not to smile a couple of times.
You blink as you glanced at your foolscap, which was full of random squiggly lines and words written in an attempt to make it seem like you were concentrating. But it was absolutely impossible to focus with Remus in front of you.
You furrow your eyebrows disappointedly. It really was important that you finished this up by tonight, and you were obviously not getting any work done here. One look outside told you that, unfortunately, the rain had stopped and the moon had come out.
Remus perked up when he heard the shuffling coming from you. He looked up to see you packing your things. “Leaving so soon?”
“Sorry,” you mutter as you pick up your cup of coffee, almost finished with it. “I’ve got more work to do at home.” The stool screeches as you stand up, slinging your tote bag over your shoulder. You rake your fingers through your hair – you had spent so long in the cafe, it was completely dry now.
He smiles, “Nah, you don’t need to apologise. It was fun talking to you.”
Your heart smiled at that. “Yeah, I had fun too.”
He stays silent for a moment, observing you. Your face starts to feel hot again. “Okay then, I’m gonna go.”
“Hey, wait a minute,” he calls out, causing you to turn back around.
You tilt your head questioningly. “There’s a poetry reading happening here, tomorrow, at 5pm. You like poetry?”
“Yeah,” you reply. “Yeah, I like poetry.”
He nods, the hint of a smile on his lips. “Come round if you’re free. I think you’ll like it.”
It felt like fireworks had begun to explode everywhere within you, from your head to toes and even in those little spaces between your fingers. “Okay,” you murmur. Your heart was tingling with excitement. “I’ll try to make it.”
“Great,” he grins, chucking his hands in his pockets as he leaned against the platform behind him. “Cool, then. See you.”
“See you,” you smile dazedly, pivoting and walking towards the exit with your coffee in hand. Your beam widened as you walked out, strolling back home as you sipped your coffee.
Remus had invited you to a poetry reading. A poetry reading.
Your cheeks ached from how hard you were grinning. You drink the last bit of your cappuccino, going to throw it in a bin on the street. That’s when you caught sight of something scrawled in black ink on the side of the cup.
There was a heart next to your name, and a number below it. Call me, pretty girl, it said in brackets.
You skipped all the way home.

Jungkook is an amazing boyfriend. He’s generous, sweet, he cares for the people around him, and most of all he’s understanding and patient with those around him. He’s genuinely a fucking angel sent down to bless the earth. Truly, you were beyond lucky to call him yours.
In a world of hybrids, it wasn’t so abnormal to see hybrids of different breeds together. When you first met Jungkook, you hadn’t even realized he was of a different mix. There was a story for that but that would come later.
Jungkook did his best to tuck his huge bunny ears into a beanie/hood or anything that would cover them— which was really the only way to immediately tell he was a bunny hybrid mix, besides the obvious indicator (his nose would twitch cutely). The bunny never spoke about that around you so from the very first day you had laid eyes on him, you assumed he was nothing more than a sweet, strong alpha (solely based on the way he would carry himself) with big beautiful brown doe starry eyes.
The day soon came where you would find that wasn’t at all true, seeing him outside of college campus grounds. As you stepped inside a local diner to meet with friends, you were drawn to the hybrid instantly, spotting him way too quickly. It was as if you had already imprinted on the man and maybe you had but you weren’t ready to admit that yet. He was stuffing his cheeks with a cheeseburger, chopping it down as if someone would take it directly off his hands. Friends surrounded him, they smiled and patted his back realizing how quickly the younger was eating his meal. The scene brought a smile to your face as you watched one of his Hyung’s wipe the mess around his mouth though it should have grossed you out, it was really endearing.
“Y/N!” Elsie yells from across the diner, ripping your attention from the group of men.
“Hey kitty!”
Elsie was a cat hybrid as if it wasn’t already obvious by her beautiful furry ears and long orange tail always giving her away, well that and her long red-painted claws. People always said cats and dogs don’t mix, but you beg to differ. Elsie is the most caring and outgoing kitty you know.
She throws an arm around your shoulders. “Missed you, pup.”
“I was only gone for a week.” Fall break was typically the time where your parents would beg you to come back home even if it was just for a week and of course because you felt it was the least you could do, you booked the first flight out and stayed for the whole break. Even if it was only a week, it felt long regardless because home doesn’t feel like home anymore. However, it was nice spending time with your family, regarding the fact that you nearly booked a flight back two days after you landed.
“A week too long.” Lira pouts. She’s also a cat hybrid. Sadly, she was missing her tail after an accident she had when she was still a kitten. She didn’t need the tail anyways, her fluffy gray kitty ears stood beautifully on top of her head.
Lira wraps her arms around what is free, basically all space where Elsie hasn’t occupied, while Elsie’s tail brushes gently behind your back.
“We missed you.” Elsie sighs against your neck, her sweet cinnamon scent rubbing into your skin.
“I missed you guys even more.” You feel Lira smile beside you and you know she tries to hold back from dropping her fresh scent into the air, but soon enough peppermint reaches your nose and you are in full delight. It isn’t long before you release your own sweet, calming pheromones. “Seriously, it was so hard to concentrate back home. Don’t get me wrong I love my parents, but it was hell. My sister wouldn’t stop nagging about her brat of a boyfriend all week long. Can’t believe she found a boyfriend before me and she’s only fifteen! What have I done to deserve this?”
The two hybrids laugh, releasing the tight hold they had little by little.
“Oh Y/N, if you would just let yourself love and be loved you too would have found a boyfriend so long ago!” Lira simply explains without much other given context.
“You know she’s right.” Elsie’s tail is now wrapped securely around your hip, the touch is soft but it’s comforting and makes you feel extra snug. “I mean just how long have you been pining for Mr. Can’t-Actually-Say-His-Name-Because-You’ll-Kill-Me.”
Your eyes follow her gaze right across where Jungkook and his friends are sitting and you feel yourself melt into the seat.
“Shut up.” You mumble. “I don’t pin after him.”
“Oh, you totally do.” Lira buts in. “‘Oh Jungkook, if you ever need help with that just let me know.’ You seriously believe that we didn’t notice the way you batted your eyes at him while you basically threw yourself at him.”
“I did NOT bat my eyes at him. And I definitely didn’t THROW myself at him.” You yell-whisper in case any hybrids around are listening in.
Elsie clicks her tongue. “No, you definitely did.”
“See, told ya.” Lira digresses, sitting more comfortably against the booth. “Anyways, did you hear about…”
“Jungkook-ah, slow down. That burger isn’t going to run away.” Seokjin affectionately scolds, wiping the area around his mouth with a napkin. “Messy bunny.”
“So hungry.” Jungkook says with a mouth full.
“Yeah, be grateful Hyung loves you.” The hamster hybrid says with no meaningful threat.
“Love you!” Jungkook smiles shamelessly at his hyung.
“Don’t look, but Y/N walked through the door.” Taehyung informs the table as he watches you walk towards your friends. They all burst into laughter watching Jungkook choke on his burger the second he hears your name being yelled.
“S-She’s here?” He is quick to hide his face behind Seokjin’s broad shoulders but he shoves him back in his seat, happy with his doing when Jungkook’s face turns red.
“Jungkook-ah, my guy, when are you gonna admit you like this pup?” From across him speaks Jimin, his cat ears seem to stand tall, interested in his answer.
“Hyung, I don’t like her.” Jungkook whines, having no choice but to hide his face behind his hands. “I just think she’s very cool and nice, that’s all.”
Taehyung raises a brow. “Jungkook you nearly fall to your knees whenever you see her walk in class. Her presence alone leaves you a stuttering mess.”
“N-No.” The bunny hybrid stutters. “Okay, fine. I like her.”
Hoseok laughs with his body, grabbing onto Jimin’s shoulder. “Why don’t you just ask the pup out?”
Jungkook’s face feels hot and he shrugs. “I don’t know… she doesn’t even know my hybrid mix yet.”
“Uh, I think the huge bunny ears give that away.” Yoongi says and points towards his head.
“Yeah, but I hide them.” Jungkook shamefully admits. He was lucky to be wearing his hood when you came in. Usually the bunny carries his beanie with him everywhere, but today he was out with his friends so he didn’t think it was necessary.
He’s hoping you didn’t notice. He doesn’t think you would mind that much, but he’s still insecure in the way that he wishes he was something cooler like his Hyung Namjoon. A whole alpha wolf hybrid mix. Why did he have to be born a fucking bunny? He’s embarrassed to admit it. What if you turn him away? Laugh in his face? You surely wouldn't, right? You are the nicest pup he knows.
“Jungkook-ah…” Hoseok shakes his head, clearly in disapproval.
“I know Hyung. I know. I said I wouldn’t hide anymore, but I can’t help it. She makes me so nervous.” Jungkook lays back, Taehyung's palm goes to rub circles behind his back. “To be fair, I didn’t hide it at first, I was so used to wearing my hoodie in class so people wouldn’t talk to me…”
—-
Two Months Ago
“Hey.”
Jungkook looks up to find a classmate he seems to have never noticed or seen before. He thinks you must be new.
“I- sorry to bother you. You were the closest person to the door and I was just wondering if you could direct me to room 301. I think I’m in the wrong place.” The stranger (you) pulls her own hood down, revealing the cutest dog ears. He wondered if you were an alpha like his hyung. You nervously play with your strings as you wait for his reply.
“No it’s okay. Don’t apologize. You’re in the right room. Actually, the room numbers are found on a silver plate by the door, but the plate fell off for this room and nobody seems to have the time to fix it.” The hybrid’s nose twitches cutely as he speaks, his doe-eyes glow in the light filtering the room.
“Oh, okay. Do you mind if I sit next to you? The room is pretty packed.” You ask quietly, hoping the cute hybrid will agree. Meanwhile, you wonder about his breed.
“S-Sure. The seat beside me isn’t taken.” He gestures for you to sit.
“Thanks.” You smile. “You must be a wolf hybrid right? Your eyes give it all away, you’re a cute pup!”
Jungkook’s heart drops. One because you think he’s cute and he also thinks you’re cute, but two because you think he’s a wolf hybrid. If only you knew what was under his hood. Now, he’s humiliated so he does what anyone foolish enough would do.
“Y-Yeah.” He agrees and doesn’t say much after that.
“Sorry. Was I too forward?” Maybe he isn’t interested in being friends, you felt so stupid.
“No!” He answers all too quickly and brings attention to himself. “I mean- no. Thank you. You must be a wolf hybrid yourself.”
You smile because he noticed your ears of course. “Yes! An omega.”
So you weren’t an alpha but an omega, Jungkook thinks you became cooler by the second. Even though the classroom is filled with all different kinds of scents. Jungkook thinks he smells a new one. His nose has always been extremely sensitive, but he thinks he smells cotton candy which is new.
“Oh. I’m an alpha.” He lies, feeling extremely guilty. His hyung won’t mind if he steals his identity for a minute (Namjoon definitely will).
“Of course you are. Only someone with a jawline and arms like that could be an alpha.” You smile and turn your attention back towards the front of the room where the professor seems to have just arrived.
“Yeah.” Jungkook lamely replies and fakes a smile. God what did he get himself into?
…
“She thought I was a wolf hybrid Hyung.” Jungkook tells his embarrassing story and his hyungs look back at him apologetically.
“That’s still no reason to lie to her Jungkookie.” Hoseok reasons as usual. “I really think you should come clean. She’s a sweet pup. You wouldn’t like it if the situation was reversed.”
Jungkook pouts, nevertheless agreeing. Of course he’ll come clean. You deserve nothing but the truth. He’s just terrified that if he comes clean, about his feelings and the fact that he isn’t a wolf hybrid that you’ll turn him away and never speak to him again. He should have faith in you, but his insecurities get to him anyways.
“I know I will, let's get out of here before—” Jungkook is interrupted by another person and he freezes in his seat.
“Jungkook?” To Jungkook’s greatest fear, he finds you right by the table, some friends he always finds you with sit across where you had come from and look over with a proud look on their face.
“I- yeah! Hi.” Jungkook’s awkward and his hyungs can’t help but to laugh at his mess.
“Sorry to interrupt.” You apologize, ears flattening in your hair, looking adorable.
“Don’t worry at all. We were just about done here anyways.” The kitty hybrid at the table reassures, you think his name is Jimin and it is confirmed when someone else speaks up. A bear hybrid this time with a deep voice. “Let’s head back to Jimin’s? I’m tired. Jungkook-ah, we’ll catch up with you later. See ya.”
They all stand and Jungkook feels he can throw up when he sees he’s left all alone with you by his side.
“Do you wanna-”
“Do-”
Both of you start at the same time and it makes you both laugh. You don’t want to get ahead of yourself but you think it’s possible that he may feel the same way and that makes your heart warm.
“You go first.” The hybrid says between a smile.
You take a breath before you ask. “Wanna get out of here?”
Jungkook nods eagerly, looking like a sweet pup before he’s up on his feet. “Sure, I know just the place.”
The bunny hybrid doesn’t take you far. After like a fifteen minute walk, a lake comes into your vision and you both find a bench to rest your feet for a moment.
“How-”
“Did-”
Laughter is shared again and suddenly Jungkook is less nervous. He has nothing to worry about around you.
“Sorry, I was asking how was your fall break?” Jungkook asks while playing with the strings of his hood.
“Good good! I went to visit my family back home.” Jungkook smiles hearing this.
“How was that?”
“Honestly,” you wrap your arms around yourself feeling a bit cold, “it went really well! We hiked around a lot while I was there. We all really love hiking and it’s the way we bond as wolves. Though this time we had a new member join our pack. My sister got a boyfriend. She’s only fifteen but she had fun as well. I think he’s a brat but she loves him so I can deal with him for now.”
The hybrid nods attentively, eyes sparkling in the moonlight. “I see. I have an older brother and he’s been with some fox hybrid since I can remember. He’s married though and I love her. She’s really great.”
“How old is he?”
“My brother is ten years older than me.” Jungkook replies in a low tone. “I’ve always been the baby.”
Even in his entire friend group, Jungkook’s the youngest. Not that he minds, he just wants to be as cool as his hyungs. Being a bunny hybrid isn’t an easy life when everyone finds him cute. He can be cute, but he wants to be strong, cool (maybe sexy as well).
“I can tell.” You whisper and his giggle calms the butterflies in your stomach.
“Look there’s something I wanna show you.” Jungkook lets himself breathe for a moment before his hands come to the top of his hood. “I know this is so unexpected and sudden, but I don’t wanna keep lying to you.”
He breathes one last time through his nose, closes his eyes for a second and drops his hood, letting his fluffy ears hit the fresh air. When he opens his eyes he finds you just as shocked as he imagined you would be.
“Jungkook.”
“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry for hiding something like this. I really didn’t mean to. I-”
Jungkook feels arms wrap around him and he freezes before he realizes all his fears and worries have been for nothing. He hugs you back, squishing you into him.
“I’m sorry for assuming your hybrid mix bun.” He feels the whisper right below his ear. The bunny holds back a purr when he feels you gently scratch behind his ear.
Bun. Jungkook knows this is terrible timing, but fuck he thinks he could come in his pants right now. His friends and family call him that all the time but it’s never meant anything. Maybe it doesn’t mean anything from your lips either but he’s infatuated with you and has been for a couple months now. The bunny hybrid knows now more than ever that he wouldn’t want it any other way. He wants to be with you forever.
“I’m sorry.” You pull back to look into his eyes and he shushes you with his lips. They are so soft against your own and you feel yourself hold back your own purr.
The bunny pulls back so suddenly. “I- I’m sorry!”
You don’t say anything but smile and reel him in by his strings and your lips crash against his much faster. The kiss is still soft but he doesn’t hold back this time. His lips mold with yours like if it was always meant to be this way. You drop one last kiss before pulling away. He tastes like cherry chapstick and you feel like kissing it off all over again but you hold off.
“This wasn’t supposed to go in this order.” Jungkook laughs quietly, his hands hold your waist but they are soft to the touch.
“It’s okay. I liked it.” You say, he watches your own eyes sparkle.
“I should explain myself now.” The hybrid murmurs and you push off him just a bit, but you remain close and allow him space to speak. “Back when we first met, I had my hood on. Usually, I do that because I don’t like people talking to me.”
You look at him apologetically but he shakes his head and continues, “you were the exception of course. I thought you were the prettiest hybrid ever and I didn’t want to pass you up so I helped you. I didn't expect anything, but then you called me a wolf hybrid and at the time, I was too embarrassed to admit I was a bunny hybrid.”
“Oh Jungkook, I’m so sorry.”
“No no! It’s okay. It was my own insecurities holding me back. I’m not scared anymore. I thought if I had told you I was actually a bunny hybrid that you wouldn’t have taken me seriously. Most people just think I’m some cute little bunny and I’m much more than my breed.” He admits and you feel sorry he would ever think something like that. You never imagined it was possible for other hybrids to think that of themselves, but you feel for him regardless.
“I believe you. I still think you’re cute but I would never turn you away, Jungkook. You have so many things going for yourself, I wish you could see how cool and attractive you look through my own eyes.”
Jungkook smiles. “You really think so?”
“Of course. You’re perfect Jungkookie.” And this time you both smile. “Do you still think that?”
“Think what?” The bunny looks confused for a second.
“That I’m the prettiest hybrid.” You say, your heart on your sleeve but it doesn't matter anymore.
“Yes.” He answers with no hesitation. “I like you. A lot. I have for some time.”
“I like you too, Jungkookie.” There’s some comfortable silence for some time as you both stare at each other longingly.
“Be my girlfriend pup?”
“Yes bun, a million times yes.”
—-
Once again, Jungkook was the absolute best boyfriend ever. Genuinely the kindest soul and sweetest hybrid. But he was a fucking animal. No pun intended. It was your first time dating a bunny hybrid and you underestimated a lot of things.
First, the bunny was incredibly needy. You had heard of this. Taehyung had warned you and you didn’t even believe it at first because you were quite clingy yourself, but then you realized it was much worse than you had imagined. Jungkook would pout and whine every time you would try to get up from your morning cuddles. He would tell you things like you could skip work or class for today and you would always disagree.
“No. Not this time bun.” Jungkook whined, he would try his best puppy eyes on you which almost always worked but not this time. So much for not liking being cute. “No. I’ll see you after class okay? We’ll cuddle all you want after.”
Jungkook huffs but lets you go anyways. He’ll be waiting for that.
Second, you underestimated how much a growing bunny could eat. He was already in his last stages of maturing, but damn he could eat. You don’t even eat this much after your heats hit and your appetite is huge during those times.
“Slow down, bun.” Jungkook would blush and smile with his mouth full.
“Starving.” He would say even though you had fed him just an hour ago but it was cute. It was just so hard to say no to someone as cute as Jungkook. May he forgive you later for thinking he was the cutest bunny you had ever met but it was true. Jungkook was perfect and he was everything you ever wanted in a partner.
Thirdly, you underestimated his sex drive. At first, you thought you were a match made in heaven. You would spend your heats with a bunny who tended to have a high libido. It would all work out! He could keep up with you and you would take what you needed during your frenzy heated state. It was perfect.
Okay no, you definitely underestimated a bunny’s sex drive because Jungkook was a fucking beast. Your heats would hit every three months and Jungkook was more than happy to help. He was genuinely perfect. He would make sure you always had water and cold towels around to cool you down. The bunny would often check on you between rounds, during rounds, and especially after you had come down from the frenzy wave of your heats.
It was one of those moments where you realized he was much more in need of this than you were. Bunny’s are in need of a lot of sex possibly more than any other hybrid. Jungkook would fuck you to oblivion for ten minutes straight and after twenty minutes as you cooled off, he was ready for more. Sex with Jungkook was beyond exhausting, but you wouldn’t change a damn thing.
“W-Wait Jungkook, oh my god.” The bunny rammed his hips in and out of you at quick speed. His hands forcing your hips up, keeping you right where he wanted. “I’m gonna come again.”
Your voice falls out into whines and whimpers and still, Jungkook doesn’t hold back. He feels the second you start to fall apart writhing against the sheets every time you feel him hit your sweet spot. “Already pup?”
“Nghh.” Nothing stops the high pitched moan that rips through the room while Jungkook fucks into you with precision. “D-Don’t. Please don’t stop. ”
Jungkook loves it when you get like this. All fucked out. Barely holding yourself together. He sees the way you cling to the sheets below, your slick is everywhere but that’s exactly how the bunny likes it. He’s convinced the neighbors could smell it by the way you keep pushing that sweet slick out.
The scent of cotton candy hits his nose by a tenfold and he loves it. You’re coming right on his cock and that’s how it always should be, but suddenly he’s greedy.
The bunny is quick to slip out of you and you want to shove him right back in, but he replaces his cock with his tongue and nothing else matters again. It’s like he’s addicted. Jungkook used to think he hated being a hybrid. Having the ability to smell all sorts of scents used to drive him insane and somehow, nothing is better than smelling your sweet, sweet scent. It drives him fucking insane.
“Fuck!” You scream. The bunny is buried nose deep into your pussy, forcing all your addicting slick to fall into his tongue. He inhales the fucking juices like it’s a meal. “I- I think I’ll come again.”
Jungkook can’t help but to smile even while he’s in the middle of eating you out. He flicks his tongue around your clit, nibbling on it like the good bunny he is. The sensation starts to build all too quickly and another orgasm rips through your body. The world goes black for a second.
You passed out and the next time you wake up, you feel the hybrid rubbing his length behind you.
You both never even bothered getting dressed when your heat would hit. There was no use of clothes anyways. It wouldn’t matter if he would find a way to drop you on his knot every fucking minute he could.
He presses his hard-on between your cheeks and you feel slick start to ready you up for him.
“Again?” You croak, voice still filled with fatigue.
Jungkook kisses your back softly as he caresses your hips (it’s the way he asks for forgiveness). He was a sweet bunny. “Sorry babe. You smell so fucking good. Just like me.”
“Yeah because you’ve been coming all over me. There’s a bugde in my stomach. You’ve ruined me bun.” The bunny smiles against your skin and apologizes again in between kisses along your bare shoulder.
His cock makes his way between your cheeks and you feel the tip against your slicken folds (you don’t know if it’s slick or his come). “Just the tip baby.”
He whispers and you roll your eyes because it’s never just the tip but who are you to deny your sweet boyfriend of absolutely anything. “Go ahead bunny.”
Jungkook sighs as the head of his dick eases into your pussy. He actually keeps his word and doesn’t go any further. The bunny takes his time, slowly rolling his hips into you. You hear him groan against your ear. “So good for me pup. All mine.”
The bunny growls as his hand touches the bulge that formed in your stomach. He would keep his come inside you every single day if he could. Fuck everything else.
The bulge reminds him of what it could be. He can’t wait to see you filled with his own pups. The bunny moans imagining your swollen belly, you would probably taste sweeter than ever. He might just breed you right now. Fuck birth control.
“Kook.” He hears you moan lightly. “‘S not enough.”
He smirks knowing his girl. “I know pup. Need my help?”
You only nod, moaning again when you feel him pick up the pace. He’s still behind you and his hand leaves your stomach to pull your cheeks apart. He thrust himself fully inside you grunting into your ear. “So tight still even after last night.”
You squeeze your walls around him as he picks up his pace again, he tries his best in the position you are both in but he gets frustrated within the second and lifts one of your legs up, fucking his dick into your pussy easier. The bunny moans praises as he continues to ram himself into you. “So pretty. So beautiful. All mine.”
“Yours. All yours.” You agree, feeling so fucked already.
Jungkook pulls out for a second before he pushes you back against the bed and tugs your legs open for him. The bunny sits between your legs while he contemplates whether he wants to eat you out or stuff his knot into you.
You notice this and intervene. “No. Fuck me. Please.”
He supposes he can let you decide for now. Jungkook lines his cock with your pussy and eases himself back inside you. This way he feels much better and he doesn’t struggle hitting your g-spot within the minute.
“Knot. Need your knot bun.” You start to beg as slick falls out of you, your body clearly preparing you for a knot.
“Yeah?” Jungkook breathes harshly, his ears twitch watching you fall into a desperate state. “Beg for it, omega.”
Omega. Jungkook never calls you that unless he knows you are far too deep into it to care. Hybrids do not call each other by their status unless they are a part of that mix themselves, but Jungkook has always pushed his luck. He knows it drives you insane.
“Please bun. I- wan- knot. Please knot me.” Your words start to go incoherent and he loves every second of it. The hybrid pulls out grabs some slick that has fallen into the sheets and covers his length with it fucking it back into you. His pace is significantly faster now, he plants hands into the sheets below as you wrap your arms and legs around him. He fucks into relentlessly, not worried about the noise being made. The headboard keeps smacking into the wall but he could care less. His neighbors hate him for sure but what does it matter when he has you under him. So desperate and perfect.
Your moans are almost yells now and he only goes faster. And faster. And then much faster. This is when you really realize who you are with. A whole bunny hybrid. He’s so fast. Much faster than any of your loser ex’s. They don’t even compare for one second to what Jungkook is capable of. He always keeps you full and sated. It is as if he made for you and you for him.
He feels his knot start to inflate and his nostrils flare, smelling your scent sweeten. Sweat coats his body but he doesn’t let up. “Bun will knot you now, my sweet pup. My omega.”
Your legs start to shake around him as heat rushes down and you come as soon as you feel his knot ram into your g-spot. You are a complete goner, coming and squirting all over his knot. The bulge inside your stomach is beautiful and it grows bigger as he comes deeply into you, holding his knot and previous orgasms.
Even though you definitely feel faint, you are proud of yourself for keeping your eyes open as his knot locks you both in place. Jungkook is careful when laying back behind you, feeling the knot tug at you both lightly.
“You okay?” He asks in a whisper, pushing the hair out of your sweaty face. He kisses your pink cheeks. God he’s so lucky. “I love you. So much.”
“Yes. ‘M perfect bunny. I love you more.” You whisper, and lull back to sleep in the arms of your lover.
Seriously, you wouldn’t have it any other way. Even if dick could kill you, so be it.

y/n and chris being the hottest couple for 5 minutes straight
summary: hot moments caught on camera between chris and his girlfriend
warnings: fluff, little suggestive, request
★ you were chris’s biggest supporter, so when he asked you to model for his new fresh love drop the obvious answer was absolutely. the drop was so big for chris that he went as far as filming the entire design and creative process for his fans. including this photo shoot.
when photo shoot day came around chris kept you by his side the whole time. you walked out in the first design and his jaw dropped. “you’re stunning. holy shit, ma. you look so good.” chris said as he placed you in the light for the photographer.
you were a natural when it came to taking pictures and posing. you did everything to make chris’s brand look good.
you did a few test shots before starting the real shoot. “you’re so hot, baby. you’re doing so good.” you felt the heat rise to your face. you were able to play it off by looking over at chris and sending him a wink.
chris was the best hype man the entire day even though this shoot was really for him. “thank you for letting me be involved.” you said walking away from the backdrop and over to chris. he pulled you in by the belt loops on your jeans and connected his lips to yours.
“you were the biggest help through all of this. this day was just as much about you as it was me.” chris comments, pulling you into a bone crushing hug.
★ you hadn’t seen your boyfriend in over a month due to his touring schedule. after talking to his brothers you decided to suprise him for one of their shows.
you hid in the crowd so when they picked players for their tournament you would be seen. “alright chris you pick first.” nick said into the mic.
you were completely decked out in orange for chris. you went as far as wearing his clothes. chris did a double take when he saw you. convinced the lights were distorting his vision, he walked toward the front of the stage.
“not fucking way.” he said looking straight at you. you could see his pupils dilate from across the room. “guys my girlfriend y/n is here. i didn’t know she was coming.” he started jumping around like an excited child.
you were ushered backstage and immediately were met with chris when you crossed the curtains. he pulled you over to his brothers before finally taking you all in.
“is that my shirt?” he asked tugging on it gently to get your attention. you responded with a nod and a smug smile. “oh my fuck, baby.” he said basically melting in your presence.
the crowd went crazy at your interactions.
★ people from boston went all out for sporting events. if you’re from boston you support boston teams. so you weren’t suprise when your boyfriend decided to drag you to a bruins hockey game.
you sat in between nick and chris while nick kept you company because there was no getting chris’s attention off of the game in front of him. this was until he overheard nick talking about how hot all of the hockey boys were.
“nick, why are you talking to my girl about all of these hot guys when i’m right here. i’m the only hot guy she needs to think about.” the smirk on chris’s face gave away his playful demeanor. you knew he was joking with you two.
“you’re the only guy i think about, baby. don’t worry.” you said as you adjusted his beanie. chris replied by resting his hand in your thigh and placing a kiss on your forehead.
there was a pause in the game where they started playing different commercials and things on the big screen. it was all fun and games until the kiss cam focused on you and nick.
the two of you jokingly went in for a kiss before swerving each other with a laugh. all of a sudden you felt chris’s hand on your chin redirecting your focus to him.
chris rested his hand around your neck in a simple gesture before leaning in to give you a passionate kiss. everyone around cheered for him before the camera focused on another couple.
you gave chris a ‘really’ look with your raised eyebrow. he shrugged before saying, “i had to show all these hockey players that you’re off limits.”

2024 Christmas Masterlist | Main Masterlist
As friends
“Here,” Y/N hand appeared in front of Bucky’s face.
His sleep-deprived eyes looked away from the windows to discover the cup of tea Y/N was handing him. A smell of orange and cinnamon immediately tickled Bucky's nostrils. It smelt exactly like he remembered Christmas to smell like. One of the few memories he was sure it hadn’t been corrupted by Hydra and that morning he was grateful for it.
Bucky nodded to thank her and watched silently as she took place on the stool next to him. It was one of the few slow mornings the coffeeshop had during the year. With the holidays coming up, busy New Yorkers had slowly started to leave and were replaced by tourists. Those ones seemed to live on a totally different schedule and during those times, the busiest time of the shop was usually around ten a.m. instead of seven.
He quickly detailed her figure. She was wearing her usual green apron on top of a thick sweater. This winter, the weather had been dry, but freezing. Even with a lot of clothes on, a beanie and gloves, it had been pure torture for Bucky to walk the two blocks between the Avengers Tower and the shop that morning. He couldn’t even feel the hot cup in his hands as his fingers were still so cold.
Looking back through the store front, Bucky continued to do what he was doing before Y/N joined him: watching the streets slowly waking up. In the dark, all he could see was the lights of New York. The city was brighter than the Christmas Tree in the Avengers Tower’s lobby. For anyone having seen it, it wouldn’t be possible (yes, it was this bright!); yet, from where he was sitting, Bucky found the sight breath taking.
It looked nothing like the New York he had known. Of course, they already had electricity back then. However, those lights they had given the streets a much more muted ambiance. He had never taken the time back then to study the city – too busy living his life like any young adult; yet he was sure if he did, he would have found the same comfort he felt today.
This was home. His home. And even after all those years, he had finally come back. Damned the guilt or the nightmares that kept him awake so late at night or made it difficult for him to sleep at all. Damned the probation the judge had felt was necessary when Steve brought him back and the fact that he, for now, had to live in a narrow perimeter. He was right where he belonged.
Suddenly, Y/N trembled with joy on his left. Bucky furrowed his brows, and she pointed out to the portion of sky they could see from here. She showed him a small white object in movement that was so small Bucky had to squint his eyes before he finally saw it too.
It was snowing.
“It’s not really a Christmas in New York without snow,” Y/N softly spoke. From the sound of her voice, Bucky could hear the smile imprinted on her lips.
This sentence, he had heard it before. It was exactly what Rebecca – his sister – would say on the few years snow had taken its sweet time to lay a thin white layer on the streets of Brooklyn. Y/N and her were more alike than he had originally thought. Of course, he had thought of his sister when he first met her. Y/N like Rebecca was always content, eager to live and to share with others. One of the few that had kept her innocence even going in adult age.
Y/N had been one of the first person he met in New York after Steve brought him back. He needed a place to escape the tower’s agitation, and he found this coffee shop with a door open and a nice smell he couldn’t quite tell what it was. He had bought a tea, and she had offered him a part of the pie of the day; it was the most delicious plum pie he had ever eaten. He came back every week for six months straight – officially, to try on more pies; unofficially, he just liked being here. He always sat on the same chair, near the window, watching the business of New York while he tried to calm the storm in his chest. Somehow, it was relaxing. He felt like he was in a bubble out of time while the rest of the world continued to run its course. She had been let him be, always welcoming him with a warm smile and she waited for him to accustom before starting to exchange more than a few trivialities.
Y/N was a good friend. Not forcing him to speak when he didn’t want to. Being here in silence to keep him company - they didn’t need many words; silence would speak for themselves. Accompanying him as he worked out his trauma and guilt. She truly was a light full of life, and she was as bright as New York.
Bucky nursed the drink in his hand, watching as the snow seemed to fall in slow motion. As it snowed and it snowed some more, and with every snowflake, the weight on his chest lifted. His thoughts only focus on the present. It was so appeasing that he could feel his eyelids become heavy. At his side, he could feel Y/N’s body heat irradiating and warming him up. He felt so relaxed that he decreed that if he could, he would stay like this forever.
Somewhere in the distance, a church bell rang and suddenly, he remembered what day it was. It was Christmas. A holiday he just knew he would love from now on. Especially if he spent it with her.
“Merry Christmas, Y/N.”
She turned to him and smiled sweetly. One of her smiles that made his heart flutter for some reason.
“Merry Christmas, Bucky.”
As a couple
“What was it like?”
Bucky, to whom Y/N was sitting back against his belly, inhaled, eyes slowly closing. They had stayed in the Avengers Tower today while the first snow covered New York City of its famous white coat. Y/N had watched a couple of Christmas TV show and Bucky stayed cuddled at her side, feeling absolutely content of his situation. She was now reading, and Bucky was slowly falling asleep.
“What was it like Christmas before-”, she carefully chose her words, “before the war?”
Y/N sat up between Bucky’s leg to be able to look at him and his sleepy figure.
“Well, it was much simpler I feel like.”
Y/N looked at him silently. It wasn’t frequent Bucky would discuss his life before Steve got him back to America. While he never discussed his time with Hydra, he also discussed very little of the war and even less of his life before the war. She knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime occasion and that she had to listen up.
“We would have Christmas dinner. Really simple. Tomato Soup. Turkey. Mashed potatoes,” he enumerated. “A bit of pudding- and that was it.”
Y/N nodded. Bucky reached out to bring a string of hair behind her ears. Slowly, she cupped his hand in her own and brought it to her lips to kiss his knuckles. Smiling, he brought her closer, her side now lying on him.
Stroking her hair, he continued: “It was a small dinner, just the four of us. Father, Mother, Rebecca and me.”
One of his hands had started to roll a string of her hair around one of his fingers. It was something Y/N would sometimes catch him doing, mindlessly.
“Would Steve celebrate with you sometimes?”
“Yes, his mom and him did a few times. On Christmas day, we would all go to church.”
Looking up to him, Y/N noticed how his eyes had become clouded suddenly. It looked like ache; ache of not being able to live more moments with his family ever again. He was still grieving his past life and his family; it would always be a part of him missing.
“You know, we would wrap present in newspapers.”
“Really?” she raised an eyebrow. “So Tony wasn’t so much of a pioneer as he thought he was.”
“No, I just think he was just lazy.”
Y/N laughed softly, and Bucky brought her closer to him. In the few months they had officially been together, Y/N had brought him so much. If he did have a lot of regrets about his life, he would never trade what he had now for what he had back then. He wouldn’t even trade watching silly Christmas TV movies with a Y/N snuggled with him on a cold winter day for all the gold in the world.
“We could bring tomato soup and turkey to Rebecca next weekend. What do you think?”
Bucky’s eyes shinned of a special spark; he swore she couldn’t make his heart fuller. “Yes, I’m sure she would like it.”
It was moments like this he would treasure forever.
In their first shared appartement
“That’s way too big!”
Bucky, a few steps away, turned around a smirk on his face, eyes laughing. Y/N rolled her eyes and while he got closer, nudged his shoulder though a smile also drew on her lips. She turned to the pine tree that he had previously shown her. It was enormously large and probably as high as the ceiling in their apartment in Brooklyn. From where she was standing, she could smell its perfume, just like one of the candles she loved.
“I think it would look great in our living room.”
“We don’t even have furniture yet!”
They had both just signed the lease of the first flat that they would live together in. They had gotten the keys when on their way back to the Avengers Tower, Bucky had insisted to stop to the Christmas Tree Shop a few blocks down.
“I have everything I need.”
“But a Christmas tree,” Y/N argued.
He laughed.
Looking around, Y/N reviewed the other trees. Too small. Too few thorns. Not enough dense. Nothing quite comparable to the specimen in front of them.
“Alright, alright.” Y/N consented. “But I am the one to put the star at the top.”
Bucky hugged her, kissing the top of her head before searching for the owner of the farm shop to buy the tree.
A few hours later, Bucky had already picked up the tree and put it up in their living room. It was now the dreadful part – unfolding the Christmas lights they had just bought. They did so as Bucky told her the story of when his parents had brought his first Christmas tree home, when he was not even ten years old. He had stars in his eyes and Y/N was glad to see him this happy. It made her heart swell with happiness and pride to have him opening up to her, trusting her.
It took them a good hour to decorate it properly and after Y/N had put the star at the top – just like Bucky had promised, they took a few steps back in the middle of their empty living room to stare at it.
“It’s beautiful,” Y/N muttered, wrapping one arm around Bucky’s waist.
“It’s ours”, Bucky smiled down at her, “forever.”
Y/N snuggled closer against Bucky, and she tried to memorize the sight in front of them. The sight of their first Christmas tree in their first home. It was like all the pieces of a puzzle finally coming together. It felt like everything at that moment had meant for her to be right here, right then with him.
“I love you.”
On their honeymoon
“This is so odd,” Y/N mumbled as she sat down at the breakfast table.
Bucky was sat in front of her, sunglasses on his nose, forehead sun kissed by the last few days he had spent in the sun. He watched as the fabric of her white beach dress hugged her features and left little to his imagination.
Drinking a cup of black coffee, he eyed her greedily. Though he knew what she was referring to – as any New Yorkers used to white Christmas Days, the sand under their feet and the salty air were definitively disconcerting – he couldn’t help saying: “I could get used to it.”
“Stop it,” she hid her face in her hands. Her left ring finger caught his eyes again. There sat a small diamond and another golden ring holding it into place. It still made his heart flutter to see them, as if he hadn’t realized just yet.
Even after all this time together, her cheeks still got hot when he would praise her. And praised her, he did. Ever since they had arrived in the Bahamas for some well-deserved time off after the crazy year that they had had, they had not left their room a lot. Their time had been dedicated to reminding themselves of how much they loved each other. It was as if they had to prove each other that getting married did not change anything to their love, if anything it had made their love stronger…
Bucky laughed sweetly at how cute Y/N looked when she was embarrassed. And God, did she love his laugh. She could hear it all day long and she would never get bored of it. She was lucky she would be the one to be able to hear it for the rest of her life.
“I’ve got something for you,” she said suddenly, reaching for her beach bag.
“I thought we said we would open the present when we got home?”
“I’ve never said that.”
“Pretty sure we agreed on it.”
“Don’t only say this because you didn’t bring anything,” she teased.
Bucky arched an eyebrow, eyeing her through his sunglasses. She looked pleased with herself, her lips set in a grin. He would normally be the one to smother her with gifts. Always bringing flowers home unexpectedly. Waking her on a Sunday morning with a breakfast in bed. Buying her those lovely earrings just because he had seen them in the window display and had thought of her. He spoke the five love languages, but gifts were definitively his strongest asset.
“Alright,” he gave in, holding his hand out, “give it to me.”
She handed him a small envelope with only his name written on it. He took all the precaution in the world opening it and his eyes nearly teared up as discovered the Polaroid pictures inside of it. Y/N had made a booklet of their couple over the years. It was a book so small he could fit it in his wallet, next to the photo booth pictures they had taken on their third date at the funfair.
The first picture was probably the first picture they had together, on a snowy Christmas, after Y/N had closed her coffee shop to go and have a walk together in Central Park. Little did she know it was at that exact moment he knew she would have his heart forever. It did take Bucky a couple more months afterwards to finally ask her on a date.
The next couple of pictures were a compilation of their best memories together. Y/N posing next to their first snowman in Central Park. Them and their gelatos in Italy. The two of them when they had played the tourists in their own city. Bucky in his Christmas pyjamas all snuggled up with Alpine.
Obviously, the last picture was from only a couple of weeks ago, the two of them walking down the altar. As husband and wife.
“That way you won’t forget about me when I’m not with you,” Y/N smiled softly. It wasn’t a reminder because he needed to be reminded, but more because she wanted to be with him through everything. That was the kind of promise she had made to him that day at the altar.
Bucky sniffled softly, trying to get rid of the frog he had in his throat. Those pictures made him emotional. It wasn’t nostalgia – even if all those years had flown in the blink of an eye and he wished to relive them over and over. Seeing the pictures of them both, smiling from ear to ear, he felt so loved. Loved of a different love he had never felt before. He who had struggle to find his place, it made him feel so complete and exactly where he was supposed to be.
He would cherish these moments forever while continuing to create new memories. He would cherish the person in front of him for making all his secret dreams come true, to have taking him all – even the darkest parts of him – and to love him endlessly.
“It’s perfect,” he kissed her knuckles.
“You are truly an amazing person, Bucky,” she leaned in to kiss him, “I am so grateful for this life with you and all the rest to come.”
Bucky had promised to give her the world and he would. Starting today, on their first sunny Christmas, on which he would take her snorkelling as one of the first Christmas gift for the day – the other ones patiently waiting for her in his suitcase.
With their kid
“You know they won’t even remember it?” Y/N said to Bucky, who was currently tirelessly wrapping up presents on the living room floor.
It was only a couple of minutes past midnight, and they had only managed to put their little one to sleep in their crib. Both of them were wearing dark eyes circles from the lack of sleep, yet Bucky was insisting on wrapping up the presents he had bought a couple of days ago.
“Go to bed, I’ll be right there.”
“No, I am fine. I’ll help you with the sticky tape.”
Sitting up next to him on the floor, Y/N winced when the scar of her c-section was pulled under her downward movement and Bucky was on his feet in an instant, holding her elbow to help her sit up as if she was an elderly person. She thanked him with a kiss, and he sat cross-legged next to her again.
She took the first present on the pile and handed it to her husband. It was a pyjama so soft it made her think of Alpine. The cat that Bucky rescued a couple of years ago. The cat that shown them both that they were indeed ready to have kids. The cat who was currently performing its duty of watching after their newborn – a mission that since they had gotten home from the hospital, she was taking very seriously.
“Can you believe they won’t be this small forever?” Y/N asked, showing the very little pyjama in her hands to her husband.
“I know,” Bucky sighed, looking up from the wrapping paper he was cutting.
“Is it selfish that I want to keep them with us forever?”
“That’s why we are going to celebrate this Christmas like crazy. They won’t remember, but we will. And we’ll cherish that forever.”
Nodding, Y/N started to cut little pieces of sticky tape and handed them to Bucky. They worked together to wrap up all the rest of the presents - a tissue book about vegetables, a rattle for their teething, a cute fairy light… Once they finished, she watched Bucky arranging all the presents under their Christmas tree.
There lied an enormous number of presents – what they had wrapped up that night was only a couple of them, but there was easily a dozen only for the baby. And this was only their presents. Y/N knew more were to be expected as they would gather later that day for lunch with the rest of the Avengers.
It made her emotional to know how much such a little person could be loved so much. When Bucky looked back to her after having put the final touch on the presents next to the food they had left earlier for Santa Claus, she couldn’t help but wipe the few tears that had fallen down her cheeks. He must have known what she was thinking as he only got back to her and kissed her forehead.
“Come Mama, time to sleep.”
Scooping her gently from the floor, Bucky started to leaving the room. In his arms, looking back at the Christmas tree, the room bathing in the Christmas lights light, Y/N realized how lucky she was. To have met this man. To be loved by him. To have him as the father of her child. She had never loved anyone like she loved them.
However, they were half the way to their bedroom when she realized the only last piece of her ultimate happiness had been left under the Christmas tree.
“Wait Bucky, we forgot the cookies!”

icy nights | cedric diggory x f.r
cedric invites you to go ice skating on christmas night, and how could you say no to him?
warnings: kissing, just pure fluff. <3
reminder: english is not my first language so I apologize for any spelling mistakes.
“Where did you even get those?” you asked Cedric as he closed the front door behind him, the yelling and laughing of the people at the living room now becoming a barely mumbling as you both walked.
Cedric was holding two pairs of ice skates, one for you, one for him. He smiled as he talked. “My older cousins. They were the ones allowed to go ice skating during the holidays while I just watched them from my room because I was too young and I could get hurt. Now they get to watch”
You laughed as you kept walking, hands deep inside your pockets as you looked up at the sky. Despite being late at night, the stars were enough to light up the sky along with the moon.
Cedric’s house was a comfy place to spend Christmas at. It smelled just like the perfect amount of pumpkin and gingerbread, with the fire and those amazing cookies that Cedric’s grandma made and basically forced you to eat more than once. His family was nice, more than nice actually, really sweet and caring, and it made you feel like part of the family too, despite only being with Cedric for a few months.
His house was small, but it was located at a rural zone, and it had such a landscape that every time you looked at it when you woke up, the soft sun and orange dawn would take your breath away. Also, it had a lake, one in which him and his cousins would swim during summer and now, skate on during winter.
Only this time, it was just you and him.
“Do they fit?” he asked as he finished tying your laces, and placed one of his hands on your calve as you shook your foot, smoothly drawing circles with his thumb.
“They’re a little big, but it’s fine” you answered. He nodded once, then sat at the bench next to you.
“Let me put on mine” he said as he took off his shoes. “Have you ever ice skated before?” he questioned.
“No” you replied as you looked at him. You loved how soft yet smooth and marble looking skin looked tonight. His cheeks were red, as always, but it contrasted perfectly with the pale color of his face. His lips, plumped and pink, weren’t even dry because of the freezing weather. Unlike yours, you had to apply lip balm every five minutes.
Truth was, Cedric looked good at all times, but something about this particular night that made your tummy flip in a different way whenever you looked at him, almost as if it was the first day you met, in which you felt the exact same.
Winter just went so good with him. The turtle neck, the long coat, almost brushing his ankles, the ridiculously long scarf and his black jeans. His ears were red because he refused to wear a beanie, so you wore it instead.
Cedric thought it looked cute on you. After all, your cheeks were just as red as his and the soft cream colored accessory on your head that combined with your outfit just made you look like a tiny marshmallow to his eyes. He loved it.
“Okay, slowly” he pointed out when you almost fell once you stepped into the ice. You gripped his hands tightly as you closed your eyes even tighter. “Okay, honey, you have to use your eyes” you heard his laugh ring in your ears.
“How can you do this so easily? Skating backwards!?” you panicked. Your feet were moving smoothly along the ice, and you could stay like this forever, if it wasn’t for the fact that the reason why you were moving forward, was because your boyfriend was pushing you towards his body, that kept moving back and back and back.
“It’s easy, you’ll see” he tried to sound as calm as possible to calm you down. After a few seconds he decided to let go of your left hand slowly, to which you didn’t complain as much as he expected you to. “Open your eyes”
You shook your head.
“Come on” he smiled “I won’t let go of you”
He could never let go.
You both stopped your slow skating as you opened your eyes, looking down at your feet. The fact that the only thing that was holding you to the ground was a thin and sharp piece of shiny blade was what made you the most nervous. Staring off wrong would definitely make you fall to the ground and have the worst embarrassment from your life.
“H-how do I do this? I feel like I’ll fall”
“You won’t fall” he laughed out loud. “Merlin, you are so cute” he muttered almost to himself, but he knew you heard. It made your cheeks redder. “Just go slow, I promise I won’t let you go”
You nodded as he took the initiative, smoothly sliding his thin skates through the ice, which made a satisfactory sound anytime the blade cut the thick layer of frozen water.
You then started to do it on your own without even noticing. The cold wind of the night hit into your face sharply, but you didn’t care. Cedric held your hand as you started to go faster and faster, almost as if you tried to race your boyfriend.
“See? You got it!” he encouraged you. “Can I let go now?”
“No! You promised you wouldn’t, Ced!” you yelled as you abruptly turned around. The sudden move made you both trip in your own feet and soon, you fell to the ice.
Your butt hit the hard surface as Cedric slightly groaned when he hit his forearm, but quickly started to laugh.
“I’m sorry” you giggled.
“It’s fine, honey”
He sighed deeply as he let himself fall in the cold ice, coat getting wet and a deep freezing breeze brushing his head and neck. You imitated him, laying next to his body as you felt both sensations, the coldness of the ice and snow, and the warmth of his body.
The sky was shiny, just as every night that you saw this past week that you slept at Cedric’s house. However, seeing it from the middle of the lake, staring directly at it, was completely different than looking at it from a window.
This was much better. It was like your eyes weren’t big enough to look around you, but everything was at your sight. The leafless trees, the house yellow lights, the big and white moon as the stars shinned around it.
You suddenly felt out of breath at such beauty.
“It’s beautiful” you whispered.
“It is” Cedric agreed.
Only that he wasn’t looking at the sky. He was looking at you.
You turned your head when you felt his eyes on you. You thought his words, and hid your face in the thick layer of your coat to prevent him of seeing your poor red face. He laughed as he put his forearm over his forehead, really looking at the sky this time.
“I’m really glad you’re here with me” he said. The tip of his fingers touched yours, laying on the ice and wetting your fingertips.
You gripped your hand around his index finger, holding tightly. He secretly loved it when you did it.
“I’m glad you’re with me too” you answered, then turned your head to him, so you could live this moment one last time before getting back inside, as you promised Cedric’s mum you would so you wouldn’t get sick. “Merry Christmas, Ced”
His dimples showed when he smiled at you again. “Merry Christmas, baby”

Can you please do something with NUzi for the writing prompt thing? I don't care which one, my only request is some good fluff!
Oh, my turn to decide! Okay! Uuuh, let’s go wiiith…
18. “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen” and 21. “I’m better when I’m with you.”
Genre: Fluff
.
.
.
It had been at least a year since the end of everything. Uzi was learning how to deal with Solver basically being the voice in her head, and N was learning how to fit into the drone colony.
But right now, none of that mattered. N got to hang out with his girlfriend. That’s all he cared about.
The two were walking about outside the bunker, walking up and down the streets of the abandoned city. Ever since the planet had been taken apart and then put back together, it was like all of the radiation dispersed into space, causing their usual eternal winter to come to an end, and giving them seasons back.
A while ago, many worker drones had gone out of their way to plant some trees, though it was mostly the adult worker drones, having missed the look of them before the core collapsed. Even Miss Dorman helped, despite never seeing them either.
The radiation still stuck in the soil had enhanced how quickly the trees grew somehow — though N nor Uzi were going to question it.
Now, it was fall. The ground was covered in dried leaves, and the trees were beautiful shades of orange and red and brown. N loved it. It reminded him of his time at the mansion.
When he’d seen all of the crunchy leaves on the ground, he rushed inside the bunker as fast as he could, flying down the corridors excitedly and dodging around Worker Drones, probably scaring them out of their casings.
His wings disappeared in front of her hab, causing him to crash inches away, though he quickly scrambled to his feet and ran back to it, opening the door.
“Uzi!” He yelled excitedly into the room.
Khan, who had been sitting at the dinner table with Nori on his head, jumped, nearly falling out of his chair.
“Oh my robo-god!” He exclaimed.
“Oops! Sorry, Mister and Misses Doorman!”
“N? What’re you doing here?” Uzi asked, exiting her room.
N grinned seeing her, rushing forward and grabbing her by the wrist, rushing back out of the hab.
“I’m gonna borrow Uzi for a bit! Okaybyeee!” He called into the hab as Uzi yelped behind him.
“N!-“ Uzi exclaimed, “What are you so excited about?”
“Outside! The leaves! It’s autumn, Uzi! It’s autumn!” He exclaimed.
“Oh! In that case— Race ya!” Uzi said as her purple and yellow wings sprouted from her back, forcing her forward and in front of N.
N laughed. “Oh you’re so on!” He said competitively, using the boosts in his wings to send him forward. He heard Uzi exclaim some kind of profanity behind him.
Eventually he made it to the front bunker doors again, accidentally slamming into it.
Uzi landed behind him as he peeled off of it, landing on his back on the floor.
She crossed her arms and leaned forward, above his face.
“You won, but at what cost?”
“The cost of my schnose….” N whined.
Uzi giggled and walked over to the controls to press the button which opened the door.
A gust of wind blasted through the doors as N stood up, autumn leaves being blown in from the outside.
Uzi’s eyebrows raised, amazed by the beauty of the leaves. She slowly stepped out, looking around at all of the colors.
N grinned and followed her out, standing beside her with his hands on his hip.
“Amazing, right?” N said proudly.
“I’ve never seen anything so pretty before,” Uzi admitted blankly.
“Wanna go play in it?”
“YES!” Uzi immediately ran forward, belly flopping into a pile of them.
N yelped, then laughed.
“Where did you go? You disappeared!” N said through his laughter.
Uzi popped her head up from the pile, her sunset eyes reflecting back at him.
“Here!” She said through her giggles. Leaves poked out of her beanie and her hair, her hair dirty and messy now.
N’s core fluttered at the sight. She was so cute and pretty… Time and time again, he’d be reminded of how he would do anything for her.
Uzi dove into another pile of leaves, disappearing beneath them.
“Let me join in!” N said excitedly, leaping in after her.
Uzi yelped and scrambled out of the pile before he landed, laughing.
“You fool! You’ve fallen for my trap!” Uzi announced, jumping on him with her signature cackle.
“Aaah! Nooo!” N cried playfully, giggling as she landed on top of them.
They began to grapple, laughing as they wrestled in the leaves, both of them getting covered in crushed leaves and sticks.
After a while, Uzi ended up sitting on his chest, holding his arms beside his head as their giggles slowly calmed down.
They stared into each other’s eyes, the stars glistening above them. The moon perfectly aligned behind Uzi’s head, giving her a halo of light.
N admired her. She was adorable and goofy and weird and fantastic. Others in her school would call her cringe, but to him— she was anything but. She was wonderful. She was everything. She was perfect.
“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” N said, his voice soft and whimsical.
Uzi’s eyebrows raised, blush spreading across her face. She put her hand on his face and looked away bashfully.
“Shut up,” She mumbled.
N chuckled, gently taking her wrist and pulling it away. “I mean it! You’re so amazing and pretty. It’s impossible to put into words how much I love you.”
“Oh my god N stop!!!” Uzi bapped his face, her blush becoming stronger.
“But it’s true!” N said, putting his hands under her armpits and picking her up. He sat up, placing her in his lap, then cupped her face in his hands.
“You’re my whole world, Uzi. I’m… I’m better when I’m with you.”
Uzi paused for a moment, staring into her eyes.
“Nah, N. You’re better no matter what. And, um… I love you too, dork.” Uzi glanced away, furrowing her brows.
N grinned, then kissed her cheek.
Uzi couldn’t help but smile.
“…Now back to wrestling!” N said excitedly, shoving Uzi down.
Uzi yelped, then giggled. “No fair!”
They giggled and laughed along, wrestling and running around in the fall leaves, jumping into piles and throwing them at each other until sunrise, nothing but joy and whimsy coursing through the both of them.

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch
An Iced Chai Blurb
WC: 900+
Warnings: While this piece is entirely fluff, the Iced Chai Universe is 18+ Only!
The Iced Chai gang takes Hazel to the pumpkin patch and creates new wholesome memories.
The breeze was cold and crisp as they exited their vehicles in the late October air. The sky was a bright blue with wispy clouds streaking across the horizon, colorful pops of red, yellow and orange decorated each turning tree. The boys were bundled in heavy sweaters as they prepared for a day of autumn fun at the pumpkin patch. Lovie pulled Hazel from her car seat, dressed in her thick fleecey orange pajamas with little embroidered pumpkins topped off with a little pumpkin beanie.
Sam cackled as he and Jake rounded the back corner of their car, meeting up with their group,” Are you fucking kidding me, she's the cutest little pumpkin I've ever seen!”
Lovie giggled, positioning her on her denim clad hip,” Isn't she? Cutest one in the patch I'd bet!”
Jake giggles, his eyes taking in his nieces outfit,” Where did you find a teeny pumpkin hat?”
She blushes,” Oh! I made it. A little hot glue and green felt.”
Josh reaches over, adjusting the beanie down on his babies head,” Nothing was fitting mommas vision, she just had to make it for you.”
Kissing Hazel's rosy cheek before kissing Lovies,” Come on, hot cider is calling my name!”
Once inside the gates they rent a little red wagon, piling the blankets and pillows they brought in one half before nestling Hazel in. Danny can't help but smile down at his little girl all snug in her pumpkin outfit as he tucks her into the blankets. Josh and Sam eventually come back over, little togo cups of hot cider in their hands. Josh hands Danny his and reaches out to give Lovie hers,” and a non alcoholic one for our pretty momma.”
She smiles, the warmth of the togo cups already heating up her chilled hands,” Mm you remembered.”
Josh scoffs playfully,” Of course I remembered, who do you think I am?”
As they turn to start walking towards the towering pumpkin display Sam playfully taps her arm with the back of his hand,” He's obsessed with you, remember?”
Her heart swells as she looks around, Josh's brothers enjoying the family time just as much as her boys. Josh's eyes wide taking in every speck of autumn color, while Danny happily pulls the rented wagon with their baby sitting inside. Meandering over to the pumpkin patch display, they can't help but take some photos. A large stack of hay bales towering high to the sky littered with pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors.
Sam eagerly hoists Hazel out of her pillow nest,” Take a picture of us, we obviously match!” He laughs holding her to his body tightly with one arm, gesturing to his outfit with the other. A burnt orange beanie sat on his head as well as a matching burnt orange sweater.
“We're pumpkins!” He exclaims before kissing her pink cheek.
After Lovie snaps a few different poses of Sam and Hazelnut he passes her to his brother,” Okay, Uncle Jake's turn!”
She can't help but smile when she sees his face light up the second she's placed in his arms. After a few different poses Jake giggles,” So if you two were pumpkins does that mean we are a jack o lantern, since I'm wearing all black?”
Danny chuffs, “ Why are you wearing all black to a pumpkin patch?”
“Just wanted the baby's outfit to stand out.”
His comment makes everyone giggle. Once she starts wiggling in his grasp he hands her to Josh,” I think it's family picture time before she loses all of her patience!”
A few different variations of poses and he snapped some sweet ones, his favorite one being when Hazel squealed loudly and all three of her parents looked at her with loving but amused gazes.
After pictures they wandered through the pumpkin patch, picking a few small ones to bring home. As they were meandering through the packed dirt pathways Josh gasped, bending down he picked up the littlest teeny tiny orange pumpkin he had ever seen. Quickly he turned around with it in his palm to show Lovie and Danny,” Look! It's Hazel if she were a pumpkin.”
Lovie let out a laugh/ sob, “ Well, we have to get it! It's perfect!” Gently plucking it from her husband's palm and nestling it in the best of blankets surrounding their baby. Eventually Jake and Sam came back to the wagon with a few more of their picked pumpkins and loaded them into the wagon, much to Danny's dismay. Sam bends down his hand outstretched about to pick up the littlest gourd.
Danny yelps,” Don't! That one is Hazel's.”
Sam juts out his bottom lip before tugging her pumpkin beanie back down on her little head,” Sorry Hazelnut, I won't touch your pumpkin.”
After what felt like a much longer walk back from the patch they stood in line at the stand to purchase their pumpkins. Josh couldn't help the smile on his face as he watched his baby laugh and smile at her mom as she made silly faces to entertain her. Pulling his phone out to take the thousandth picture of the day, he snapped one of Hazel with the biggest smile on her face, her two gapped front teeth on display, nestled in with all of their pumpkins. Softly he nudges his wife as Danny and Sam load the pumpkins onto the checkout counter,” Cutest pumpkin in the patch huh?”
Looking at his phone seeing the snapshot he captured, her heart melting,” Most definitely.”

Santa Baby
Summary: The cutie who tells Christmas stories in your library, dressed as Santa is completely endearing.
Oneshot
Fluff, Coworkers to lovers au
Word Count: 2,402
Requested by @jinkoh
Eric X Reader
Prompt: 1. A festive storyteller
[A/n: I live for shy/awkward Eric ngl. Is there no such thing as mango ribbon candy? Maybe not. But we can pretend that the orange ones are mango flavored here.]
------
You’re working at the library’s check-in counter when it turns to two-fifty on the dot, and in strolls Santa. Or well, a man dressed up as Santa Claus without the beard, Eric. He waves to you with a big smile as he heads to the toy bin. He pulls out a red cushion before setting it on the floor and getting a selection of three Christmas stories. You’ve watched him over the weeks, and his mannerisms endear you. From how he expresses the stories with such jolly, you swear he has to have Christmas magic in him. Or how he takes care of each of the kids, always making them feel safe and making sure they leave with their guardian. To the plush Christmas dog, Olive, who he uses to demonstrate the reindeer in stories and passes around for the kids to hold for comfort. Or how he makes a point of greeting and talking to you every day even though he doesn’t need to. You scan in another book as you watch as all the kids gather in front of him.
You notice a new kid in the mix, and Eric happily introduces himself as one of Santa’s little helpers. The kid anxiously nods, and Eric smiles, “I think I have a friend just for you to talk to while we read!” He pulls out, “Olive, the other reindeer.” You shake his head at his joke, and the kid happily wraps around it and seems more comfortable. Eric gets them all settled and begins his story. You’ve heard it a million times, but it always feels as if you’re hearing it for the first time again. You smile as you listen to him while you check through records and ensure everything is correct before heading to put everything away. You smile as you push the cart around, watching the pompom on his Santa hat bounce around as he reads and enacts it.
The kids start leaving with their parents as Eric finishes the last story. You grin and wave as you tell them goodbye, and they tell you both to have a good day. As the last kid is picked up, you click through a few more things when you hear him come over, and he asks, “Did you enjoy today’s stories?” You look up at him, “As always. You did excellent, Mr. Claus.” He grins, “Thank you, all in jolly days' work.” You shake your head with a smile at him before asking, “So, where are you off to now?” He hums, “The candy shop.” You tilt your head, “Oh?” He smiles, “I asked the parents last week if their kids were allergic to anything, and the newest parent today, too. So, I’m heading out to get ‘em some candy.” You smile, “That’s sweet of you.” He shrugs, “It’s the least I could do for them.” You look at the clock. A minute until you could leave, “Do you mind if I tag along? I could use a few stocking stuffer gifts.” He grins, “Not at all.” You clock out as the minute turns, quickly fetching your stuff.
When you return, he’s no longer wearing his Santa hat and red cape with white trim. He’s wearing a nice thick puffer jacket and a gray beanie. “Oh? I thought you wore your outfit home?” He shakes his head with a laugh as he tells you, “No…” You guys walk to the nearby candy store, talking about anything that comes to mind before entering. You both part ways as you look for ribbon candy for your loved ones while he finds some candy canes for the kids. You stop by the fudge, look for your favorite flavor, check the price, and sigh, deciding against it until after Christmas. You finally find the ribbon candy area. It didn’t take long to pick out the flavors you wanted for everyone, and shortly, you were in the checkout lane. You wait for Eric to finish ringing up and leave the store with him. You move to be in front of the store's window.
You reach into your bag and hand Eric the mango-flavored ribbon candy you bought him, “I notice you’re always drinking something mango so…” He smiles brightly, thanking you as he takes it when his eyes light up. You tilt your head, and he reaches into his bag, “Oh! I got you something, too! I noticed you stared at it but didn’t get it, so…” He hands you the fudge you were looking at earlier, and you gasp, “You got this for me?” He grins, “Yeah.” You smile as you thank him and happily put it in your bag. When you look from your bag again, he says, “Now, we both have something sweet to eat!” You grin and nod.
He asks, “Would you mind if I walked you home?” You shake your head ‘no’, and he walks you home as you both talk about your Christmas plans. When you approach your apartment, he says, “You live in this building?” You nod, and he smiles, pointing at the adjacent apartment buildings, “I live in 1222 over there!” You gasp, “No way! We live so close! If you came in at the same time as I did, we could walk to work together.” He hums, “Well, I can’t do that… But I think it’s just as fun to walk you home.” You grin, “I agree.” You don’t wish for the conversation to end, but you know you’ll see him tomorrow, so you say, “I’ll see you at 2:50 tomorrow?” He nods, “Yeah, I’ll see you then, (Y/n).” You nod and wave goodbye to him, and he waves goodbye until you head inside your apartment building.
—
Like clockwork, he’s there at two-fifty, and you couldn’t be happier to see him. He has lensless golden-rimmed glasses to fit the Santa image, and they make him look even more handsome. He visits your counter, “Did you have any of your fudge?” You grin, “A little piece, and it was delicious. Did you try the ribbon candy?” He nods, “Yeah! I had a small piece. It was good!” You nod before you ask, “What are you reading today?” He grins, “‘Twas the night before Christmas.” You smile, “I love that story the most.” He tilts his head, “Really? Even though you’ve heard me say it like… at least twenty times now?” You smile, “You breathe new life into them. I love how you tell them.” He looks down, his ears red, as he thanks you. The library door opens, and he looks up, “I gotta run!” He quickly dashes to get everything set up for the kids. As he gets all the kids settled in, you push around the cart, putting away the checked-in books.
You catch him handing out the sweet treats for them to eat as he tells the story. He reminds them to clean up after themselves as he does. And they thank him for the presents. You smile as they all eat their candy canes and diligently pay attention to him. You hear him start the story, “‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.” He makes little mouse sounds, and the kids giggle. You watch from the aisle you’re putting your books on to see his arms stretch out as he describes Santa and the actions he does to look like he’s going down a chimney. You can’t help but giggle at his antics, and all the kids turn back to look at you. You didn’t realize your giggle had been so loud. He looks up at you, the pompom on his hand bobbing up as he blushes. “He looks just like Santa! He has rosy cheeks!” A kid exclaims, which makes Eric even redder. You mouth a little, “Sorry.” He shrugs and smiles at you before he continues telling the story theatrically. It makes your heart feel all fuzzy as you check in books and do your job. You happily listen and watch his antics when you can. And even though you’ve heard the story a million times by now, and at least twenty times from Eric himself. Yet, you can’t help but feel as if you’re hearing it for the first time all over again. You finish up putting the books away as the poem nears the end. You sit in your chair and decide to watch him for a little break. He hops up and exclaims, “HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!” If Eric wasn’t supposed to be a storyteller for the library, you’re sure your compulsive ‘shh’ would have come out. All the kids giggle and cheer at that, and you can’t help but giggle again.
He grins at you before he looks around the library as if checking for on-listeners. You tilt your head, and he sits back down, “Do you kids wanna know a secret?” You shouldn’t try to listen, but you desperately wanted to know, wondering if it was about you. He leans down as they all lean in, and you hear a hushed whisper before they all break apart and start exclaiming, “When will you ask!” And one kid goes, “Won’t you catch cooties from dating?” That makes the rest of the kids gasp, “You won’t catch cooties, will you?!” He laughs, “No… No, you can’t catch those when you reach my age. And someday soon, I’ll ask.” The kids make various noises of disappointment before they whisper amongst themselves. One kid cheers, “You should ask now!” And the rest start chanting, “Ask! Ask! Ask!” You’re so confused by this point. What did the kid mean about catching cooties from dating? And why were they all chanting ‘ask’? And you see him turn redder and redder by the second. It looks like the confidence that he usually has completely evaporated. Before he takes a deep breath in, catching your eyes, he smiles, garnishing whatever confidence he has left, “Okay, I will!” All the kids cheer, even the one who was worried about cooties does.
You tilt your head as he approaches your counter and see the kids all whispering and looking over at you. Did all of that have to do with you? You catch his hands fiddling before he puts his arm on the counter, trying to look all cool. “I um… Hi.” You smile, “Hi.” He pauses, turning his head to look down, and you notice a kid tugging at his red and white cape. He holds out his hand as they give him Olive. You smile, knowing the kid was trying to make him feel better and less nervous, and he tells them, “Thank you, sweetheart.” Before patting their head, you watch the kid rush back to the circle. All of them are craning their heads to listen. You raise your brow as he squeezes Olive a few times before placing the plushie on the counter. You give it a little wave, and he waves their paw back. He gulps, “I was wondering… if I uh… If we could- if you’d like to go on a date with me?” Your eyes dart to the clock on the computer, “Well, what do you say when my shift ends, we do?” His voice squeaks, “Really?” Before he clears his throat, “I mean, uh… Really? You wanna go out with me?” You nod, “I’d love to.” You hear all the kids cheer and giggle with themselves. He giddily walks over to the kids, making Olive’s jingle bell on her hat ring as he shakes her in excitement. You grin as he walks away, happily typing into your computer, excited for your date later. He reads a new Christmas book just as theatrically as his last reading. And your heart melts endlessly at how much joy he was bringing the kiddos he was watching.
When it’s time to leave, all the kids wish you a good day as they rush off with their parents. When they’ve all gone home, you see Eric standing there fiddling with Olive’s ears when he asks, “You sure you want to go on a date with me? You weren’t just saying that to please the kids, were you?” You smile as you clock out from your computer; instead of telling him, you ask, “Can I see Olive for a second?” He nods, handing her over before moving to fiddle with his cape’s toggle button. You pretend to have a little conversation with her and have her speak for you, “(Y/n) says that you’re very cute. Mhmm.” You have Olive nod and continue talking in a higher voice, “And they’ve wanted to go on a date with you for a while now.” He looks at you with shock, “Really?” You nod, look directly at him, and in your normal voice, you tell him, “Watching how caring you are with the kids and how much you make them and me laugh. I couldn’t help but fall for you.” He grins, and you come around the counter, placing Olive back in his hands. He smiles before he whispers to Olive and makes her speak, “Eric finds you very cute, too. And has wanted to ask you out since you first giggled at his storytelling.” You blush and follow him out after he exchanges his accessories for his regular clothes.
—
As you walk home together, hand in hand, you ask, “If we were to start dating, would that make you my Santa baby?” He hums, “Yeah? But only if you say yes to dating me.” You laugh as your cheeks turn red, “Maybe… If you ask properly.” When you stop in front of your apartment complex’s door, he asks, “Would you like to make it official and be mine?” You scrunch up your nose, acting as if you’re thinking about it before saying, “Only if you get to call you mine too, Santa baby.” He gives you a hearty chuckle, “Deal.” You both laugh and you kiss his cheek, “I’ll see you tomorrow?” He tilts his head, “But tomorrow’s Saturday…?” You wait for him to get it, and his eyes grow wide, “Oh yeah, of course!” “Does 1 pm sound good to you?” He grins, “Perfect! I’ll see you tomorrow, baby!” He kisses your cheek goodbye. And you both excitedly head to your apartments, ready for this new beginning.

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch- Charles leclerc
Charles leclerc x reader
This one is long I hope you guys like it
The crisp autumn air hung gently over the rolling hills of the French countryside as the Leclerc family made their way to the pumpkin patch. It was a perfect fall day—the kind where the sky was a brilliant shade of blue, and the orange and yellow leaves danced in the breeze. Charles had been looking forward to this day all week. With Formula 1 keeping him busy, moments like these with his family were precious, and today was extra special. His entire family was coming along, and little Cole, their 4-year-old son, was more excited than anyone.
As you, Charles, and Cole strolled hand in hand through the field, Charles squeezed your hand gently, a smile lighting up his face as he glanced at you. "Tu es prête pour une journée pleine de citrouilles, mon amour?" he asked, his eyes twinkling.
You smiled back, adjusting Cole’s little beanie on his head. "I’m ready, but I think Cole’s been ready since last night. He couldn’t stop talking about pumpkins!"
Cole ran ahead, his tiny legs bouncing with excitement. His eyes were wide as he spotted the first row of pumpkins. “Maman, Papa! Look at all the pumpkins! Can I pick the biggest one?” he shouted back, his voice filled with awe.
Charles chuckled. "We might need a bigger car if you pick the biggest one, Cole."
As you approached the patch, Charles’ family arrived—his mother Pascale, his brothers Arthur and Lorenzo, and even some close family friends. The warmth of family added to the already perfect day. Pascale immediately scooped Cole up, peppering his face with kisses as he giggled, his eyes—identical to Charles’—sparkling with joy.
"Tu as grandi tellement vite, Cole," Pascale said with a smile, brushing his messy brown hair from his face. "Aujourd'hui, on va choisir la plus belle citrouille, d'accord?"
“Oui, Mamie!” Cole beamed, clearly loving the attention from his grandmother.
The group wandered through the pumpkin patch, everyone laughing and chatting as they selected the perfect pumpkins. Cole, of course, insisted on picking up pumpkins that were almost as big as he was, but Arthur and Lorenzo were quick to swoop in and help him lift the enormous gourds.
Charles stayed close to you, his arm wrapped around your waist as you both watched Cole. "Look at him," Charles whispered, his voice soft with love. "I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up."
You leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder. "He’s got your energy, that’s for sure," you teased, looking up into his familiar green eyes. "And your eyes."
Charles smiled, squeezing you tighter. "Et toi, tu as son cœur," he said softly. "He’s a mama’s boy, and I love that."
Cole ran back to the two of you, proudly holding a medium-sized pumpkin. “This one’s perfect for carving, Papa!” he declared, his face flushed from the excitement.
Charles bent down to inspect the pumpkin. "You did a great job, buddy," he said, ruffling Cole’s hair. "Let’s take this one home and make the best jack-o’-lantern ever."
As the afternoon passed, the Leclerc family enjoyed every moment. They took hayrides, sipped hot apple cider, and let Cole explore the patch, his laughter echoing through the crisp air. Charles’ brothers played with him, lifting him high into the air as he shrieked with joy. Pascale took pictures of the whole family, capturing the precious memories.
When the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, the group gathered around a picnic table they had claimed earlier. Arthur had brought a thermos of hot chocolate, and Pascale handed out cookies she had baked earlier that morning.
Charles leaned over to you as Cole sat on your lap, tired from the day’s excitement. "I wish I could freeze days like this," he said softly, kissing the top of your head. "Just the three of us, with family… it’s perfect."
You smiled, brushing a strand of hair out of Cole’s face as he rested his head on your chest, eyelids growing heavy. "Me too," you whispered. "These are the moments I want to hold onto forever."
As the final glow of the sunset faded, the group packed up their pumpkins and began the journey home. Charles carried Cole in his arms, the little boy’s head resting peacefully on his father’s shoulder. The cool night air had set in, but you felt warm, surrounded by love and family.
Back at home, after Cole had been tucked into bed, you and Charles sat on the couch, cuddled under a blanket, reminiscing about the day.
"I think Cole’s going to dream about pumpkins tonight," you joked, resting your head on Charles' chest.
He chuckled softly. "Maybe we’ll wake up to him asking to go back tomorrow."
You smiled, feeling content and at peace. "I wouldn’t mind that."
Charles pressed a kiss to your forehead, holding you close. "Je t’aime," he whispered, his voice full of love.
"I love you too," you whispered back.
The warmth of the day lingered long after you closed your eyes, knowing that days like these—filled with laughter, love, and family—were what made life truly special. And with Charles by your side, every moment felt like the perfect adventure.

Master list
‘What are you doing?’
‘Getting dressed, what does it look like’ you uttered, adjusting your bra strap before pulling your underwear up your legs. ‘Where did you throw my dress?’ You asked the man, who’s name you couldn’t seem to place, and he nodded his head to the left where you saw it draped over the back of the chair in the corner of the hotel room.
‘So what, you’re just gonna leave?’ He asked, as you stepped into it, the silky material now cold as it clung to your skin and you shivered lightly as you pulled the zip up.
‘Yeah? You can’t tell me you haven’t done the same before’ you told him, your tone cold and distant and you could tell he was baffled by your sudden change in demeanour.
‘Well yeah but-‘
‘It was nice meeting you’ you cut him off, pulling on your jacket and slipping your shoes on as you walked to the door of the hotel room. He sat up in the bed, the covers slipping dangerously low on his waist and you took one last appreciative glance over his body before grabbing the handle.
‘Wait. Are you not gonna give me your number? Or even a kiss goodbye?’ He pleaded but you shook your head gently.
‘It’s easier like this, you’ll thank me for it one day’ you explained, ‘you got what you wanted, as did I. No need to drag it out any longer.
‘But y/n-‘
‘Sweet dreams’ you smiled, pulling the handle and leaving to room.
The corridor was quiet, and you took a second to take a deep breath before taking in your surroundings. You’d followed him up here so you weren’t exactly sure what way it was to the lift and you were looking for a sign to tell you which way to go when the door opposite opened suddenly.
You were met with a pair of big brown eyes looking back at you, shock written all over their face as they clearly didn’t expect anyone to be outside their hotel room this late at night, so you gave them a small smile to appear friendly in hopes they could help you out.
‘I don’t suppose you know what way the lift is? I’m a bit lost?’ You asked and their face softened instantly.
He was good looking, you couldn’t deny it. A mop of messy brown hair on his head poking out of an orange beanie and a scattering of stubble adorned his face. But it was his big eyes that made your tummy flutter in a way you don’t think it ever had before, and when he finally smiled at you, you almost lost your breath.
Fuck, he’s pretty the voice in your head announced, but you pushed all those unfamiliar feelings down. You hadn’t felt like anything for a boy for a long time and you weren’t about to start now. Not after what you’d promised yourself.
‘I’m heading there myself, I’ll show you’ he uttered, his voice making you shiver. Being in Leeds you expected him to have some sort of accent but he sounded like he came from your way and you followed him down the corridor once he’d locked up his room. You both stood in silence as you waited for the lift to arrive and when it did, he motioned for you to get in first before joining you. ‘What floor do you need?’
‘Just the ground, I’m trying to get out of here’ you told him and he nodded lightly before pressing the button for the ground floor. You’d made it down past two floors when you felt the lift shake and suddenly come to a halt, gripping onto the metal pole to keep yourself upright but the panic set in almost straight away.
‘No no no, fuuuuck don’t do this’ he ranted, pushing all the buttons on the panel as if that was going to magically make it work again.
Enclosed spaces, especially lifts were never your favourite but you willed yourself to stay calm whilst he cursed under his breath, finally pushing the call button that connected him to reception so he could explain the situation.
‘I’m so sorry sir’ the voice spoke into the lift ‘I’ll get someone on it right away. Is it just yourself in there?’
‘No there’s two of us’
‘Okay well just hold tight and I’ll call someone to fix it’
He thanked the man before turning to face you, noticing you holding onto the side for dear life but he was unsure as what to say to make anything better right now.
‘Are you alright?’ He asked gently and your eyes snapped up to look at him.
‘Am I alright? I’m trapped in a lift with a stranger, what do you think?’
‘I’m trapped too, remember?’ He scoffed, but his face settled when he saw how petrified you looked. ‘I meant are you cold or anything? You can have my hoodie if you want?’
You were about to send him another snarky remark when you thought better of it. He was right, you were both in this together and by the looks of things he was trying to help you feel more comfortable. Plus you didn’t know how long you’d be stuck in here with this man for and there was no use making an enemy out of him.
‘I’m fine. Thank you, though’
‘That’s alright. I’m Mason by the the way’ he told you and you felt yourself ease up as he tried to relax you a little bit.
‘Y/n’ you told him and he sent you an appreciative smile.
‘Well it’s nice to meet you, I wish it was under different circumstances’ he laughed shyly and you were about to reply when the receptionist’s voice suddenly rung through the lift
‘Hello? You still there?’
‘No, I’ve climbed up the lift shaft and escaped. Of course we’re still here’ Mason told him and you couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle.
‘Sorry sir. I just wanted to update you, I’ve called the company to come and fix the lift and they should be here in about half an hour’
You felt your legs go weak as soon as the words left his mouth, flopping down onto the floor as you didn’t feel like standing up in these shoes anymore.
‘Are you serious?’
‘I’m sorry sir, but it is 2am on a Friday so it’s the best I can offer you’ he explained and Mason gave a little nod to himself.
‘Okay, yeah I get it. Sorry mate, just let me know when they get here’
‘Of course sir, and feel free to speak to me anytime’
‘Thanks’ Mason huffed before looking down at you on the floor with a small smile. ‘You alright down there?’ He asked, sitting himself down opposite you. The lift was only small, both your legs almost touching the wall opposite. He sat close to you, his leg almost touching yours and you could feel the heat radiating off him which made you shiver. You tried to play it cool though, knowing his eyes were on you as you shrugged at him.
‘Better than standing in these shoes for half an hour’ you told him, wiggling your ankles for some sort of relief. ‘What are you doing up at this ungodly hour anyway?’ You asked, trying to get a bit of a conversation going so it wasn’t too awkward but you got the vibe he was friendly and fairly easy going.
‘Couldn’t sleep, thought I’d go for a little walk and clear my head’
‘Something on your mind?’
‘Just work stuff’
‘It’s Friday night. Why are are you thinking about work?’
‘Some of us have to work weekends’ he told you with a small smile and you rolled your eyes playfully. ‘It doesn’t matter anyway’
‘You sure? Nothing like telling a stranger who you’ll never see again all your problems. I promise what’s said in the lift stays in the lift’ you told him, your hand over your heart but he just shook his head as he gave you a shy smile.
‘It’s fine honestly. Anyway, why don’t you tell me what you’re doing wondering the halls?’
‘First of all, I wasn’t wondering the halls. I’d just come out of the room opposite yours. And secondly, it’s none of your business’ you winked and he let out a little chuckle.
‘Oh so you wanna know the inner workings of my brain, but you can let me know what you were doing? What happened to what’s said in the lift stays in the lift?’
‘Because I feel like talking about my sex life is a little bit different to talking about work’ you told him and you saw his face flush immediately.
‘Oh shit, sorry’ he laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck, but you sent him a little smile to let him know it was okay. ‘What do you do for work then?’ He asked, clearly trying to change the subject and make things less awkward.
‘I work in an office’
‘Do you live round here?’
‘No, I’m just visiting a friend. She studies up here but I live in London. What about you?’
‘I live near london. Well technically Surrey I guess, but I’m just here for the night’ he told you.
You carried on making small talk but he was a hard one to read, he seemed to be open with you but when he felt like he’d said too much he’d pull back, eyes never quite meeting yours, but you blamed the small amount of alcohol running through your system for over thinking things.
Time flew by, and you hated to admit it but you had enjoyed his company more than you wanted to, but you were bought back to the reality of the situation when the receptionists voice shrilled though the speaker.
‘Sir? The engineers have arrived. If you could both just stay where you are they’ll start moving the lift shortly’ he spoke and you shut your eyes as you balled your fists in order to keep some composure. The lift jolted and you let out a little squeal as it moved, thinking you were plummeting to the floor when in reality they were just moving you down to the ground floor so they could open the doors.
You kept your eyes shut but you felt Mason move towards you, resting his hand on top of yours as if to provide you with some comfort and you opened your eyes, instantly to look into his.
‘Your hands are freezing’ he whispered and you tried to suppress a smirk as his much larger hands dwarfed yours.
You couldn’t deny you felt a pull towards him, and the thing that scared you the most was that fact that you didn’t seem to want to fight it. That was until you heard a bang on the outside of the lift door.
‘You good in there guys?, two minutes and I’ll have this door open’
‘Thanks’ Mason called, rising to his feet and holding his hands down to help you up. He was surprisingly strong for his frame, and you grabbed his biceps as he held you at your elbows. His arms felt hard under your touch, clearly he must be a gym guy and you gulped down a nervous lump as you felt him through his clothes. Your bodies were now flush against each other as his dark eyes captured yours. You could feel his breath fanning over your face and your instincts were telling you to move closer, but the sound of the doors being prised apart made you pull away.
You quickly dusted yourself down and moved yourself passed Mason. The doors were open now, and you kept your head down as you moved through everyone, your eyes glued to the floor as you focused on getting out of there, but you felt a hand on your wrist that stopped you in your tracks.
‘Wait, where are you going?’ Mason asked as you turned to him, and you kept your expression blank as he look at you confused.
‘Back to my friends house’ you told him, and you watched his eyes flicker all over your face.
‘Oh, well when can I see you again?’
‘Mason’ you breathed, ready to let the second boy of the night down it seemed, when the receptionist who spoke with Mason over the speaker approached you.
'Mr Mount? i'm so sorry about the lift, i had no idea it was you in there' he started and you gave Mason a funny look, wondering how he knew him so well but you didn't wait around for a response, quickly turning and leaving the hotel and into the cold night.

stitches and stuffing
and the acquisition of wings by one (1) grian [1045 words]
-=-
"Scar?" Scar blinked at the sudden voice, then wheeled over to the edge of his train and looked down. Grian stood there, staring up at him with a face as blank as ever.
"Well hello there, Grian!" Scar chirped.
"I need your help," Grian said.
Scar hummed. "Of course! What do you need?"
Grian pulled out a pile of fabric. "Can't reach my back."
"Ohhhhh, sure thing!" Scar immediately knew what Grian needed from him. "Come on up!"
Grian didn't hesitate to climb up the ladder, throwing the fabric into Scar's lap. The zookeeper picked up the material - soft and fluffy, in orange and blue and gray hues. The fabric was sewn into wing shapes, already stuffed with cotton.
Scar dutifully dug out a needle and some thread from a small compartment by his bed. "Surprised it took you this long to come up," Scar mused. "You usually get me to sew your wings on as soon as you get an elytra, and I noticed you don't really have one yet!"
"Taking things slow this season," Grian hummed, tapping the floor with his foot. He was dressed in big brown overalls and boots, and there was an odd patch on his arm. He was really into the fishing thing this season. He even had a ratty old beanie on his head.
Not to mention… "What's with the… uh," Scar motioned at Grian's face.
Grian looked away and poked at his new facial hair. "Thought it'd fit the vibe. I was fishing for so long, I just took some hair from my head and glued it on my face.
"Wait, wait, wait," Scar laughed. "From your head?"
Grian groaned and pulled his beanie off. A bald spot appeared from under the hat.
Scar cackled. "Oh, Grian there had to have been a better way!"
"I was BORED!" Grian blushed, face digging deeper into his collar. "I can glue it back!"
"All the stitching I did for that waffle, gone?" Scar gasped in mock hurt, putting a hand to his chest. "How could you?"
Grian rolled his eyes. "Yea, yea, can you help me or not?"
Scar chuckled. "Yea, G, come here."
Grian chuckled too, and turned to go sit on Scar's bed. "This might work better."
"It might work better if I could actually work on you," Scar rolled his eyes and wheeled over to his bed.
Grian blinked, then realized. "Oh. Right. One sec."
Before Scar's eyes, Grian completely changed. It wasn't a gradual thing, it just happened all at once. What was previously a 5 foot something fisherman in a red sweater was now a 3 foot tall plush doll. Grian shrugged off the suspenders of his overalls, which were now big and slumpy. He flopped down on the bed, his back pointing up. "That good?" he said, his voice not even remotely muffled by the bed. It never is.
"Perfect," Scar said, and lined up the wings where they usually went. He also placed the tail in its appropriate spot, though he did have to pull the overalls down slightly. Grian's usual black pants were underneath. Not like he expected anything different.
"I'm surprised you still need to ask me to drop the illusion," Grian commented, not even flinching when the first needle broke his sweater-skin. "You've been doing this nearly every season for me."
"I work with glamours, not illusions!" Scar huffed, tightening a stitch. "They're completely different!"
"Aren't they the same, like, conceptually?" Grian asked.
"Not at all!" Scar smiled, always ready to go on a rant. "Illusions trick the brain into thinking something's there when it isn't. Glamours cover something, like a pretty face or sparkly sparkly wings!"
"Ohhh, so illusions add while glamours subtract?" Grian realized.
"Something like that, yea!" Scar said, finishing up his stitch. Grian's right wing was now sewn on, and the doll gave it a little test flutter. At his thumbs up, Scar moved onto the second wing. "What bird are you this time?"
"Kingfisher," Grian replied.
"Makes sense," Scar nodded. "Why not something like a seabird?"
"I like the colors of kingfishers," Grian chuckled.
"Fair enough!" Scar said.
They worked like that for a while, Scar filling the air with rambles about Star Wars or the train he was working on, while Grian relaxed and let the air be saturated with his friend's voice. Eventually, they finished, and Grian hopped off the bed.
"You look amayzing!" Scar clapped.
"Thanks to your sewing skills," Grian complimented, turning around in a circle. His soft footfalls barely made a sound. "I look great!"
"They aren't even elytra'd yet," Scar frowned slightly. "Are you not gonna fly?"
"Like I said, I'm taking things slow," Grian turned his beady little eyes to Scar and tilted his head. Scar knew how a smile looked like on his friend. He didn't have a mouth, after all. "Slow like a snail."
"Ohhhh are you the one who sent that snail to Gem's base?" Scar chuckled, looking over at the beautiful lighthouse nearby. A tiny teal speck was barely visible from here.
"I did no such thing," Grian said innocently, in that exact tone he had when he was definitely not innocent.
"Mmmmhm, sure, G," Scar laughed. Then, he snapped his fingers. "Oh, what if I give you little snail antenna?"
Grian gasped and his wings flapped in excitement. "YES!!! That would be so cute!"
Scar smiled at Grian's enthusiasm. "How about you go fishing, see if you can get that mending book-" he stifled a laugh at Grian's groan "-and I'll whip up little feelers for you?"
"Oh, that'd be great, Scar, thank you!" Grian said. Then, the air around him warped again, and he was back to looking at least somewhat real. Scar could still see the ethereal thread that held his limbs together. He stretched his wings, real and feathery, and flapped them once. They propelled him slighly forward, and he laughed. Scar's own wings, hidden under several layers of glamour, fluttered.
"I'll be back!" Grian said, jumping off the train and gliding back to his dock. Watching him run, it was hard to tell he wasn't really alive in the first place. Scar rolled his eyes and tooted his train's horn. Well, time to work on those antenna!

Unspoken Love: My Safe Haven
Nanami Kento x Reader
Previous: One Year Later
(Song Inspiration: Need 2 by Pinegrove)
Yuji noticed a big a change in Nanami. It made the student happy to see Nanami more like himself and not reading in the library most of the time when he’s in the school. If anything, he seems happier to the young boy.
“What do you think, sensei?” Yuji asked Gojo quietly when they watched him from afar. Nanami was on the phone, a smile apparent on his face. Nanami brushed his hair back, a small chuckle escaping his lips. Gojo shrugged.
“He doesn’t usually talk about what’s going on in his life,” Gojo replied. A playful grin appeared on the white-haired man’s face. “But we’re about to find out!” Footsteps were coming closer and closer to them. When they looked up, Nanami stood in front of them, a hand resting on his hips.
“You two are up to something,” he said.
“I think that you are the one up to something,” Gojo said and peered in closer to his face. “You look happy.”
“Yes, I am,” Nanami replied. Gojo jumped back in surprise. “Am I not supposed to?”
“Nanamin, what’s been bringing you in a such a good mood?” Yuji asked happily and curiously. Nanami softly smiled, your name escaping his lips. Gojo’s mouth was agape while Yuji gasped with a wide smile forming on his face. Nanami chuckled again.
“I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” he said and walked away.
The drive to the hospital wasn’t too far from the school. But twenty minutes always felt too long for him. By the time he arrived, he parked by the front at the outpatient area where you were waiting patiently, body covered with your black peacoat and hat, along with his scarf that he wrapped around you this morning. Your backpack hung on one shoulder and your hand holding your phone. He’s assuming you were playing your mindless phone games while waiting for him.
He smiled and quickly got out of the car. You looked up finally and a smile appeared on your face. Nanami opened your door and you thanked him. He took your backpack before you entered the car and Nanami carefully placed your bag in the backseat before he took his seat. When you looked out the window, some of your fellow classmates stared in shock. You couldn’t help but chuckle and wave at them as Nanami drove away.
You wouldn’t say your relationship with him is complicated. If anything, it was more than you could ever asked for. You two reciprocated everything back to each other. The way you two treat each other and spoke to each other. Texting and calling each other good night and good morning and still meeting up almost everyday. The title remained unspoken and the two of you are content.
Nanami slowly reached for your hand. It was the first time he did and you squeezed his hand with reassurance. Nanami smiled, his eyes remaining on the road. This time, you laced your fingers with his and rested both of your hands on your lap.
“How was clinical?” he asked softly.
“I got to go to the ICU today!”
“You seem extremely happy about it, darling,” he said with a small smile.
“I got to do and learn so much!”
You sat up straight and turned to face him, animatedly talking about your day. All the medical terms you included, Nanami just smiled and nodded, asking questions here and there so he could understand more about your day. And he could hear the happy tone in your voice as you answered all of his questions. Listening to your voice, the excitement and passion you have, it has his heart going and going. He could listen to you all day long.
“Darling,” Nanami called.
“Yes?”
“Will you go on a date with me this weekend?” he asked.
You stood in front of your mirror. You straightened out your warm tights and rustic orange corduroy dress. You adjusted the belt and checked your make up one last time. You made sure your hair was perfect in the beanie you wore. With content, you smiled. You picked out your knee high brown boots and placed them by the front door. You went on your laptop and quickly submitted the last of your assignment of the semester before you heard the door of your apartment open. You smiled.
“You look beautiful,” Nanami said breathlessly.
It was only two days ago when he officially asked you out. He remembered the nerves and the fear of rejection running through his mind. He didn’t remember how he mustered up the courage to ask you out on a date. He just remembered the question escaping his lips. He remembers feeling your hand freeze on your lap. He couldn’t tell who’s palm was sweating, but he assumed it was his. He remembers stopping at the light and finally looking at you. Your cheeks were pink and a smile was apparent on your lips. And when you said yes, he was elated.
When you turned to look at him, Nanami was still in his beige suit, blue button up, and orange-black spotted tie. You can’t complain though. You love a man in a suit. It was seldom that you see him wear sweats or jeans. Either way, he remained handsome in your eyes no matter what. His blond hair parted and pushed back. His shoulders broad and his built figure fitting perfectly in his suit. His soft brown eye and smile made your insides melt.
“Well, you look extremely handsome today,” you said with a blush on your face as you closed your laptop. You walked up to him with a smile. “You look like you’re glowing.” Nanami softly laughed.
“I get to have my first official date with my favorite girl,” he said softly, his fingers brushing softly on your cheek before he cupped your chin with his fingers. “Are you ready, darling?”
He treated you just like any other day. Today was just another step to your unspoken relationship. He is more intimate and you returned the intimacy. He held your hand all day and kept you close to him. You leaned your head against his arm and would consistently wrap your arm around his. He remained chivalrous, and of course, you couldn’t let him pay and do everything until he says:
Don’t worry, darling. I got it.
“How was dinner?” he asked. Your arm was wrapped around his arm while the two of you walked in the crowded Tokyo streets.
“Delicious! Probably the best pasta I ever had,” you answered happily. Nanami chuckled. “Where to now?”
Nanami brought you a museum. It wasn’t your typical art museum or science museum. This museum displayed the human bodies and various diagnosis and its history. It made him very nervous, but after seeing you reading several books on various pathologies, he hopes you would find the museum exciting. Safe to say, the two of you were there for several hours. You read everything and examined everything you saw. By the time you reached the end of the museum, your stomach immediately growled. Loudly. All Nanami could do was laugh and take you out to the planned restaurant.
“I want to go to my favorite place,” he said when you two finished your late dinner. You smiled and rested your head on his arm. You followed his lead and looked around the familiar surroundings. And then you caught sight of the cafe. Nanami opened the door for you and you thanked the gentleman as always. Nanami placed his hand on the small of your back and lead you to the corner you typically reside in.
“This is really your favorite place,” you asked curiously. Nanami nodded. He mentioned that he’ll be back. You watched him pick up two drinks, bringing a smile on your face.
“I got us tea,” he said. You felt relieved with the hot cup warming up your cold fingers. Nanami did warn you to wear gloves, but you claimed that you don’t own any before the two of you left the apartment.
“So, how did the cafe become your favorite place?” you asked after taking a small sip of your tea.
“This is where we first met. And if I didn’t meet you, I wouldn’t be who I am today.” You looked at him surprised, cheeks pink as you felt shy. “I was very insecure and felt that I didn’t deserve to have someone like you in my life. I doubted myself and felt that I just needed to be alone. But my body reacted differently from my brain because I wasn’t going to help you get the book you were jumping up and down for.” You couldn’t help but laugh at his statement. Nanami smiled. You weren’t offended. But why would you?
“I took the chance to invite you over to sit with me that first day and I had a good gut feeling you were going to be there before me again, so I mobile ordered tea that one day and wrote my number on the cup,” you confessed. Nanami smiled. He reached out and held your hand.
“Have you ever been ashamed of me? Felt embarrassed to be around me?” he asked curiously and seriously.
“Never, Kento-kun,” you answered. “Not even once.” Your answer meant everything to him. The look he held in his eye made you feel weak. You suddenly blushed and shyly looked away. Nanami stood up so he could take the seat right next to you. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders and you leaned on his chest. “I enjoyed today.”
“I did too, darling. Are you ready to go home?” You shook your head and pouted.
“I never want my day to end,” you said. “I love spending time with you.” He felt his heart flutter.
“You’ll see me tomorrow for sure,” he said. He stood up and held out his hand. You grabbed it and he pulled you up to your feet. “You need your rest.” He took your empty cup and wrapper and threw it away before he brought you back home.
You cling on to him tightly on your way back up to your apartment. Nanami couldn’t complain. He always thought he wouldn’t be a fan of physical contact like this. Maybe holding hands and a quick hug would’ve suffice, but with you clinging tightly on to him made him feel loved, needed, and at ease.
“Are you up for a second date?” Nanami asked. You blushed and nodded.
“I’ll go on all of the dates with you, Kento-kun,” you replied happily. Nanami blushed.
“Then, would you like to come over tomorrow for dinner?” he shyly asked. You don’t often go to his place. You remember it being very neat. He has a modern, contemporary style. White couches with yellow and white patterned throw pillows. Marbled black countertops with white cabinets, white walls, with a light gray wooden floors.
“I would love to,” you said. “Your place is super nice.”
“You think so? I thought you hated it.” Your eyes slightly widened.
“N-No! Th-That’s not it. It’s just…I’m scared to even make a mess. Your place is so clean.” You blushed at your answer. It sounded so lame. But Nanami squeezes your hand and chuckled.
“It is clean but I’m not typically home,” he said. “So, it would be nice to make it more homey, don’t you think?” You knew what he tried to implied, and it made you blush even more.
“Y-Yeah!” Your voice was a higher pitch, he noticed. Nanami smiled.
By the time you two reached your front door, Nanami pulled you in for a hug. You melted in his arms. He found comfort holding you. Nanami pulled away slightly and cupped a side of your face while caressing your cheeks.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said softly. “In so many ways, you’re beautiful.” You felt a leap in your stomach. You watched him lean in slowly to you. Before you knew it, his lips met yours. His kiss is soft, the way you thought your first kiss would be. When he pulled away, you looked at him dreamingly. Nanami couldn’t help but let out a small giggle. “You alright?” You nodded, your mind in a daze.
“I never kissed someone before,” you said. When you looked at him, his whole feature softened.
“I haven’t either.” You felt so happy hearing that from him. You immediately wrapped your arms around him happily.
“Tonight was amazing. I had so much fun.”
“I did too, darling. I’ll see you tomorrow.” With one last kiss, he watched you walk inside and left.
Your winter break fell too short. But you spent it everyday with Nanami. Nanami provided everything for you, no matter how much you protested. And right now, Nanami is walking up to your campus, finding the academic building you were in. He made sure he was early enough to find and surprise you.
He stood by the trees, leaning back against it with his arms crossed. A sudden rush of students started leaving and entering the building. Many of the females eyeing him in awe. He couldn’t help but smile to himself. Thinking how right you were and him admitting that his insecurities were getting the best of him.
“HES SO HOT!” one of the female students exclaimed. A group of female students looked at him then turned back to each other as they giggled. He couldn’t help but let his confidence grow.
“Those scars make him hot. I wonder what happened.”
“Such a mystery. So sexy.”
Nanami laughed while his focus remained on you. He finally found you. Black peacoat with your thick tights and sweater dress. His eye caught the large brown scarf he wrapped around you to make sure you were warm. He found you talking to a small group of other students. Two males and a female. He was in awe as you laughed. He patiently waited for you to hopefully notice him. He watched you scan the campus. And once you saw him, he watched you stare at him a little longer. He couldn’t help but laugh as he started to walk to you. You quickly said bye to your classmates and ran to him.
“Kento-kun!” you yelled out happily. You immediately hugged him before giving him a kiss. “Aren’t you working?”
“I’m free right now,” he answered and kissed your forehead. “How was your last first day of class?” You groaned but still smiled.
“Overwhelming already,” you answered.
“Come on, do you want to go to my place and relax?” he asked. You nodded excitedly and reached for his hand. He intertwined his fingers with yours and kissed your hand.
“So I still have my Thursday clinicals,” you explained.
“Tomorrow morning?” You nodded.
“Yeah, so I probably shouldn’t stay for too long. I’ll have to get ready and sleep at a decent time, if I can. My sleep schedule is pretty wonky at the moment.” Nanami nodded.
“You didn’t get sleep last night, right?” You yawned and nodded your head.
“7:30AM,” you replied tiredly.
You softly thanked him when he opened your door. Once he closed the door, you leaned your head against the window and closed your eyes. Nanami paused before he stepped inside. He took his jacket off and covered your body with his jacket before leaving to your place instead of his.
You didn’t stir at all when he lifted you up from your seat. Your head rubbed against his chest for comfort as he walked you two to your apartment. Nanami gently placed you on your bed before removing your shoes and coat. He covered you warm with your blanket and set your clinical alarm on your phone.
He did it all. He found your uniform for the next day and placed it on your computer chair. He plugged your laptop to charge right next to your backpack so you don’t forget to pack it the next morning. He made you dinner and packed leftovers for lunch, making sure your lunchbox had your snacks and a water bottle. He set up a new K-cup in the machine with your thermos next to it. Finally, he left his credit card on the counter in case you wanted breakfast for the morning.
He didn’t want to leave. He planned to stay until you woke up. But his phone call from Gojo made him sigh. Quickly, he wrote a note and quietly placed it on your nightstand. With one last kiss to your forehead, he left.
“I love you, darling,” he whispered softly.
You couldn’t help but brag to your classmates. All the females questioned about Nanami when they saw him waiting at campus. You excitedly talked about him. About how you two met and how your relationship is with him.
“So, he never made it official?” a girl asked.
“It is,” you said.
“But he never asked you!”
“He doesn’t have to. It’s…unspoken of but it says a lot,” you answered. You smiled widely as you took a bite of the food Nanami prepared.
It was around 7PM when you woke up from your long nap. You were confused at first. You remembered being with Nanami. But once you read his note, you immediately sat up in bed and turned on your lamp. You saw your uniform and bag all set up for you. You walked in the kitchen, and your lunchbox was set along with dinner. A note was in a fridge on a filled bento box for your lunch and another about the new K-cup on the machine. And when you saw the credit card and a note that says In case you want breakfast, your whole being just melted. He text you goodnight and sweet dreams before he went to sleep and you text him good morning before you got ready. So yeah, you didn’t need verbal confirmation on your status with Nanami.
“Girl, it’s cute,” another classmate said. “I wish I have that.”
“Is he like rich? His car looks so luxurious!” You shrugged, but you would assume so with his job. But you never bothered to ask.
“Older man too, right?”
“By like three years.”
“Is he picking you up today? I wanna see him again!” You laughed. “You’re so lucky!”
Again you laughed. You checked your phone. You smiled. Nanami finished his mission safe and sound.
“If he’s not working. You girls are crazy.” The ladies groaned with a pout. A small chuckle escaped your lips once more before you ate your food again.
“Wait, I always thought you had to ask them to be your girlfriend?” Yuji asked curiously after the mission he and Nanami were on. The two of them were waiting for Ijichi. Yuji was curious about you and surprise hit him when Nanami happily spoke about you.
“We know,” Nanami said as he fixed his eyepatch. “It’s common that you would ask. But I don’t have to with her.”
“Why’s that, Nanamin?”
“Action speaks louder than words, Itadori-kun.”
“Have you ever said ‘I love you’ yet?”
“Once but she was asleep. But I will. I want to at least tell her that.”
“Mmmm, so if I like a girl, should I do what you do?” Yuji asked innocently. Nanami chuckled.
“You do what feels right, Itadori-kun. If you want to ask her to be your girlfriend then you ask her. Every relationship is different.”
“So, when did you find her to be your girlfriend?” Nanami blushed. He didn’t know. He wondered if you thought of the same thing or if you found him to be your boyfriend at a certain time. He cleared his throat.
“Maybe it was when I asked her out on an official date. However, to me, it felt like it was earlier than that.”
“Can I meet her?” Yuji was excited. He always wanted to meet you. He thought maybe you were the one that helped Nanami. And he wanted to meet the one that saved him.
“One day,” he said. “She’s almost done with school in a few months. So when she’s done. She’s a busy body.”
“I bet she works overtime unlike you.” Nanami raised an eyebrow at the young, pink-haired boy.
“She actually does.” Yuji laughed. “She technically works three jobs with her full time job, going to school, and studying.”
“Nanamin, how’d you find her?”
“I’ll tell you that another day,” he answered. “Maybe she’ll tell you. If you like details at least.”
“Worth waiting for a few months then, Nanamin!”
Months passed. It was a big day for you. You searched the crowd left and right, trying to find your tall, blonde boyfriend. You groaned. You thought he would be easy to find, especially with his tie. After taking pictures with your close classmates, you ventured out more in the crowd to find Nanami.
“Darling!” You smiled and turned around. There he was holding a large bouquet of your favorite flowers with a small teddy bear that wore a small stethoscope around its neck. You ran to him and hugged him tightly. “Congratulations, darling.”
“Thank you! I can’t believe it was hard to find you. Your tie sticks out!” you exclaimed.
“I would think the eyepatch would more,” Nanami said with a chuckle. You blushed.
“That to.” Nanami laughed and kissed you softly. “I want to take pictures.”
“Yes, my darling.”
You met his friends and the young sorcerers a couple of times. You were surprised that he invited everyone to your favorite bar/restaurant to celebrate your big day. It was the first time celebrating with a bunch of people. Something you mentioned to Nanami once.
“We could’ve just had a small dinner,” you said.
“I know. But you deserve a big celebration. I’ll get us a round of shots,” Nanami said and got up.
“So what’s the plan now?” Ino asked.
“Is Nanamin going to propose? Should we expect a wedding soon?” Gojo asked with a wide grin. You blushed.
“I-I got accepted to work in the ICU as long as I pass my boards,” you answered happily.
“When does that happen?” Nobara asked.
“Hopefully next month,” you answered. The thought of it made you nervous.
“I’m sure you’ll do fine,” Shoko said. “Nanami talks very highly of you.” You blushed again.
“Nanami-san is happier with you,” Megumi added. You giggled.
“I would hope so,” you said in a joking matter. Nanami finally returned with a tray. Gojo smiled.
“Nanamin, when’s the wedding?” he asked. Nanami gave him a blank stare. “Oh come on! I bet you got a ring somewhere.”
“Oi! Shut up,” Shoko yelled.
“Stupid,” Maki muttered under her breath.
You returned back with Nanami to his apartment. He watched you arrange the flowers while he hung your gown and cap on the hanger. He hung it up in the coat closet before watching you again. You wore a white dress with brown heels that now lay by the front door. He watched you admirably before he came up behind you and hugged you from behind.
“Kento!” You lightly laughed. “You scared me.” Nanami chuckled and kissed your cheek, his lips then trailing down your neck. You closed your eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips on your skin.
“I love you,” he said softly. Your heart began to race. You turned around to look at him. You couldn’t explain what you saw in him, but you can see all the love he has for you. You always have.
“I love you, too,” you replied back and kissed him softly on the lips. Nanami’s hand was on the back of your head while the other rested on your waist. Nanami slowly pulled away and pressed his forehead against yours. He looked at your now glowing face. He wondered if that’s how he looks right now in your eyes.
“W-Would you…Would you like to move in with me one day?” he asked nervously. “Whenever you’re ready to. I—“ You patiently waited for him to continue, a soft smile appearing on your face. “Or I could go to you. Darling, you became my safe haven. I wouldn’t be who I am now if it weren’t for you. I want to be able to wake up with you every morning and hold you in my arms and fall asleep with you at night. I love you so much.”
“I would love to move in with you, Kento,” you answered softly. “I thought you’d never ask.” Nanami chuckled and kissed your lips again and again and again that you started to laugh in the kiss. You yelped when he suddenly carried you in your now shared bedroom. He laid you on the bed and he lied down next to you, holding you close to him. He held your hand, admiring how small it is compared to his.
“I want to marry you one day,” he confessed. You giggled and turned around to face him.
“You think so far ahead into the future,” you stated. You watched him blush. “I do, too.”
“What do you see?”
“Well, I see you coming home every time and myself running up to you and give you the biggest hug and kiss. I see us eventually buying a house. I see us having a small wedding. I can see us having two daughters. I hope you’ll be a girl dad,” you answered with a giggle. “I see us growing old together and being happy just like like this.”
“And your gut feeling?” A wide smile spread across your face. You kissed him passionately.
“I’m not worried about where we’ll be going.”
“Were you ever worried? I don’t say a lot with our relationship.” You shook your head.
“Action speaks louder than words, right?” He is elated. Elated that you thought of the same thing as him.
“You never doubted me?”
“Never, Kento. Have you ever doubted me?” Nanami smiled and shook his head. “Take off until next week.” Your sudden request had him confused and surprised, but either way, he was willing to do anything and everything for you.
“Anything for you, my love.” His new nickname for you made you smile widely. “What did you have in mind?”
“Moving.” He chuckled.
“And we’ll go out to dinner to celebrate.”
“Celebrate what?”
“I just want to celebrate us.” You blushed. His cheesiness had that effect on you. You love it. “And you deserve to be treated out.”
“Kento, what about you? What do you want from me? Because you give me everything.” Nanami kissed you.
“Just keep loving me the way you do. Stay by my side forever. Be my safe haven.” You nodded and kissed him this time. “Now, let me run you a hot bath. You had a long day.”
“I’m a lucky person.”
“I’m the lucky one.”

Chapter 11:
Slowly I came into consciousness after what felt like one of the deepest sleeps I have ever had, absent of any dreams or thoughts throughout the night. The first sensation to hit me as I regained my senses, was throbbing pain in my head. Keeping in tune with the beating of my heart, sharp pain wrapped itself around my head like a beanie. Next was intense thirst, it felt like my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth and I hadn’t seen a drop of water in years. Cracking my eyes open, I can feel they were crusted over, painfully plucking on my eyelashes as I regained my sight. Blurry at first, but slowly my hungover brain started piecing together the visual input I was receiving and I started connecting the dots.
My hand timidly ran through hair, pulling the rogue strands stuck to my forehead with sweat, away from my face. I rub my eyes, noting that I must have been dead to the world, as once I have the opportunity to look around, I do not recognize where I am. I feel panic seeping into my blood as I look around, my headache reacting to the increased beating of my heart, fed by the fear of being in an unknown place. I see a dresser, enormous in its build, which had bottles of perfume, lotions, boxes of what I can assume is jewelry, & a few miscellaneous items like hair ties and clips. I see the curtains are drawn so I have no idea what time it is. A few pieces of decor are scattered on the wall; a mirror, paintings, a windchime or two & other trinkets. To my right, a bed in the corner of the room larger than an olympic sized pool, already made. A brown comforter with forest green and rust orange pillows, neatly arranged. At the end of the bed, a cream colored knitted blanket, seemingly strategically placed by the owner of the bed. Looking around, I had no idea who the owner of the bed even was.
I think about last night, memories of being tossed into a pool of beer and being sucked on by a giantess, in between tequila shots, come flooding back. I feel a cold sweat break out, fearing I might be in Myra’s place. What was she going to do with me? She ‘claimed’ me as her ‘drinking buddy' during the party, could she have chosen to take me home as well? Was I now ‘hers’? My stomach dropped at the thought of being used by the giantess again. I look around within my immediate vicinity and see I am shirtless. I look beneath the blanket I am under & see I am only wearing my boxers. Closing the opening in my blanket, I look around to see my clothes are immediately next to my ‘bed.’ My bed seemed to be a folded comforter, or maybe even giant towel, further deepening my fear that Myra took me home with her. To my relief, a few cups of water have been placed next to my bed, the plastic cups look like the ones my friends & I brought for the party to have our drinks in. Without much hesitation, I down 3 cups of the water left for me, the cold liquid soothing my dry & irritated throat. Once I had my fill, my next task was to find my phone. I did not see it around me, so I stuck my hands in all my pants pockets, hoping to locate it. No such luck. My breathing became shallow as I realized that Myra may have taken my phone, intending to keep me here against my will. I thickly swallow and grab my pants, slowly standing on weak & wobbly knees to put them on.
I stand on the uneven surface of my bed and look around to see where I can get out. My headache continues to pound, reminding me of its presence behind my eyes, makes finding an escape that much harder. As I look around from a new angle, I see I am on the nightstand of a giant’s room. I walk to the edge, seeing a carpeted floor 30+ft below me. A fall from this height would undoubtedly kill me. That is, if being Myra’s property didn’t kill me first. I froze as I felt the familiar tremors of giant footsteps. Panic freezes my blood and I try to find a place I might be able to hide. Nothing is available, besides the bed I was once laying on. Without any other option, I slid myself back under the covers of my bed and hid there, like a child would hide from the ‘monster’ in their closet. Except, I was hiding from a real monster. I steadied my breathing and laid still as stone as I heard the creaking of the bedroom door slowly open. I dared not look up at Myra, keeping my head under the covers, remembering that the fear I had in my eyes last night just egged her on. I could hear her breathing over me as I balled myself up.
*************************************************************************************************************
I woke up about 8:15am this morning, as seen on my phone screen that sat charging on the nightstand next to Cain. My first concern was to check on Cain, ensuring he had not vomited in his sleep & choked on it. Gently lifting the blanket, I saw he was still clean from last night’s bath. He was still out cold, however not moving, but breathing slowly. He needed to sleep this off, so I quietly creeped out of my bed, making it quickly to give Cain some time to sleep. I grab my phone and close the door behind me, leaving it open a crack in case he wakes up. Walking into my living room, I see the party ended up leaving my place a complete mess. Discarded lime carcasses, cups of stale drinks, salt sprinkled on my table, wrappers from food left scattered and plates with half eaten food on them; all left for me to clean up. With a groan, I grabbed a trash bag from underneath the kitchen sink & started discarding all the refuse in my apartment.
The entire time, my mind wandered back to Cain & how upset & scared he was. My heart panged with guilt for not being there, for being foolish enough to think the Humans under my care would be safe around my brother’s friends. My hands got sticky as I cleaned up the empty soda cans and sweet wrappers. After about 20min of sorting through personal belongings & garbage, I was able to get everything thrown away. Before I start wiping & disinfecting everything, I check my phone’s notifications to see about 7 messages from various part go-ers, ranging from 9:21pm - 3:44am. Some read “Thanks for the party, sorry it got cut short.” “Heard what happened with Myra & your Human. Hope he’s okay” Others were not as kind “You touch Myra like that again bitch & I will beat ur ass i stg” “Idk why u brought humans to a party when they can’t hang Vi. Lame ass party...”
I blocked the contacts who were being assholes & stuffed my phone back into my legging’s pockets, starting to clean up once again before Cain woke up. My mind raced at what he would have to say to me once he did wake up. My mind imagines the worst case scenario as I dread having to confront the Human I had hoped to befriend. I felt my hopes being dashed against the rocks, remembering how Myra treated him last night, my anger rising as I recall her arrogant attitude.
Wiping the sweat from my brow, I see that my apartment is as good as new, smelling lemon fresh once again and not like weed & stale beer. I figured that I would check on Cain before starting on breakfast. If he was awake, I would see if he would let me make him something to eat, or if he wanted me to let him go home. Either way, I would not judge him or resent him for his choices. I crept down the hallway and slowly entered the door to see a lump on Cain’s makeshift bed, moving. Pulling my hair back, I slowly walk up to him and crouch down to be closer to him. “Cain?” I whispered as I gently peeled back the washcloth I had wrapped him in last night. To my utter surprise, I heard a scream emit from the ball of cloth I was slowly peeling away! The sudden yell shocked me so much, I fell onto my back with a loud thunk, finding that in the next moment I was laying on my carpeted bedroom floor, staring at the ceiling. My heartbeat was felt in my ears as I regained my composure. I pushed myself up by my elbows, looking up at the nightstand that stood taller than me in this moment as I recovered from the jump scare. I see Cain’s head pop up & look down on me, laying there with my face pale. “What the fuck, Cain?” I ask breathlessly. “Vi?” I hear him ask with relife in his tone and my face falls in annoyance as who the hell else would it be?
I sit up, staying at my lower vantage point on the floor, as I look up at Cain “Yea, just me.” I confirm. But I wondered if I had startled him while waking up. “Did I scare you?” I asked genuinely and Cain’s face faltered. “I didn’t know it was you.” He admits, which confuses me. “Who else would it be?” I asked, wondering who in the world would have him scream like that. Cain clears his throat “I- I thought you were Myra. I thought she brought me home or something…” It clicked for me that Cain does not remember anything after Myra’s assault on him. I shook my head “No, you’re in my unit. I kicked Myra & all my brother’s friends out when I saw what they were doing..you know, to you...” I did not want to say it outloud, fearing that I would make Cain re-live it if I did. He nods “Yea, about that…thanks for being there by the way, Vi…” He says with venom in his words, but I deserved that. I hung my head down and nodded “I fucked up, I know I did.” I admit. I look up to Cain who has somehow pulled himself from his makeshift bed and is now standing at the edge of the nightstand without a sound, arms crossed and face red. “I called & texted for help over & over. Where the fuck were you?” He asked me. I felt shame cast its shadow over me. “I’m so sorry…I was outside smoking with a friend and we lost track of time. My phone didn’t have its ringer on and I didn’t see-” I was immediately cut off by Cain “So you left 3 Humans with a ton of drunk & high giants & you thought that was a good idea?” He asks and in hindsight, it wasn’t.
I shook my head “I don’t know what I was thinking, I-” I got cut off by Cain “No, because you weren’t thinking, Vi! Why would you leave us with your prejudiced friends if you knew that’s how they saw Humans? As playthings?!” I sat up straighter and my face hardened. “My brother decided to invite a ton of his prejudiced friends that I didn't know about. I never expected they would do that. I thought they’d behave, I didn’t think it would turn out this way.” Cain scoffed “That is an understatement. Do you know how scary that was Vi? To know my one lifeline at a party where I am surrounded by beings 100X my size, was nowhere to be found all night?” I could hear a shaking in his voice as it cracked on the last word. I sat up on my knees and shuffled over to Cain who sits on the edge of his ‘bed’. His head is now in his hands as he breathes deeply. “I thought I was going to die..” He admits and my heart shatters. I wanted to reach out and hug him, to apologize, to hold him in that moment, but I kept my distance. I am sure he didn’t want a Giant touching him right now. I hang my head and feel my chest tighten as I watch Cain reeling over the party “Cain, I am so genuinely sorry. I didn’t know that my brother was inviting those kinds of people. If I knew, I would never have left you alone with them.” Cain doesn’t respond, instead focusing on managing his emotions & breathing.
As I sat there, waiting for Cain to say something, I remembered something in my pocket that I picked up while cleaning. “I have your phone. I found it on the coffee table..” Gently I place the tiny cell phone at his feet, which he grabs to inspect. He scrolls through a few things, probably checking notifications like I did earlier. I sit down on my bedroom floor and just watch him look at his phone as he scrolls, answering people. Eventually he pauses his scrolling. He watches something intensely & I can barely make out the sound coming from his phone as music and some screams. I didn’t ask him what it was, but periodically looked back over at him as he watched the video. Once finished, he looks at me, with raised eyebrows.
“You choked Myra?” he asks with a serious look. My heart drops & my face falls as I recall last night’s events & how angry Myra made me with her flippant attitude over harassing Cain. I just stared at him blankly, not sure what to say. Without explanation, Cain flips his phone to face me, where I get as close as I feel I reasonably can, to see what was on the screen. I could make out a couple figures that looked like me & Myra arguing, shot from a POV of someone at the party. More specifically, a Human POV standing on my kitchen counter. The music was too loud to hear what we were saying, but a few moments in, I am on video grabbing her by the throat before my brother steps in, blocking & ruining the shot. When the video ends, everything falls silent between us. After a few beats, I nod “Um..yea..” I confess and wait for Cain’s response. He was quiet for a few moments, piecing together what happened.
*************************************************************************************************************
It was weird seeing Vi worried, especially worried over me. I didn’t give an answer right away, but I could sense she was waiting with bated breath to see what I thought. But I didn’t know what I was thinking at this moment. Was it cathartic to see Myra being tossed around by a ragdoll like she did to us? Yea, a little bit. Was I also still royally pissed that Vi completely left us behind and at the mercy of strange & intoxicated giants? Absolutely. I just stared at Vi as she stared at me, letting the silence blanket us in awkwardness. Her eyes are sincere, almost saying aloud “I’m so sorry..” begging for my forgiveness. I sighed and realized that she was really sorry, but that didn’t immediately fix my anger towards her & the other giant party goers. A small whisper coming from the edge of the nightstand caught my attention though as Vi asked me “Can I make it up to you with some breakfast?” My interest was immediately caught as my hollow stomach begged me for something to eat. “It’s a start..” I say with a lighter tone, which seems to relieve Vi’s anxiety. I sat there, realizing how silly it was that I was unintentionally comforting a giant in this moment.
Vi slowly stood to her full height once again, towering over me & reminding me just how unbalanced the power dynamic is with giants. Nothing in her gaze & how she looked at me changed though. Her face & eyes remained sincere & full of remorse. But something in my chest felt different. Slowly, I changed how I was feeling towards Vi. Any other giant hovering over me would have felt domineering and threatening, but not with Vi, not right now. Her desire for my forgiveness and approval really put her in a different light, a more equal light. I was not used to a giant valuing the thoughts and opinion of a Human, let alone myself. Shit, it was difficult to get other Humans to respect each other. And I never expected it coming from an 85ft woman. As I ponder this new feeling, her hand slides up towards me, offering it. My blood, once again, ran cold at the idea of crawling into a giant’s hand. In an attempt to avoid that option, I asked “I figured you could bring me breakfast?” and Vi got low to be level with me once again “You’re going to need to get off this nightstand eventually. Don’t worry, I will go slow. I cleaned you off & carried you in here last night with no problems, I will be super careful.” She promised, hoping I would trust- wait. “Wait, you what? Cleaned me off? Is that why I woke up in just my boxers?” I asked surprised, realizing I had been sitting here without a shirt on, the entire time. Quickly, I grabbed my shirt, which was a little damp and squeezed what water I could out of it, confirming to myself that Vi did in fact, take it upon herself to wash me & my shirt off.
I watched Vi’s face grow red and she sputtered out a quick response to explain away, bathing me while unconscious “Well yea, you threw up on yourself & I didn’t want you sleeping in vomit, so I washed you off while you were blacked out.” I felt myself reeling at the image of Vi bathing my unconscious body without my knowledge. After a moment or two & some vivid imagining, I decided I didn’t mind it all that much, actually. In fact, I kinda wished I was conscious for that part, disappointed that I wasn’t. I stopped what redness threatened to cross my face as I looked back up at her. All I managed to say was “Thank you.” as I still debated getting into her waiting hand. Knowing I had no other real choice, I stood up and walked over to her where I stood next to one of the hands that bathed me & cared for me last night. My hand only covered the tip of her finger. I felt a slight twitch of her skin when it met my palm, undoubtedly she did not notice the twitch. I look at her hand, remembering how callous and dangerous the other giant’s hands were last night. I pull back a moment, looking up at Vi who's been watching me intently this entire time. “It’s okay. Take your time.” She assures me and I take a breath or two before re-trying. I thought of it like an amusement park ride & Vi was the operator.
Slowly, I step into her hand, feeling the warmth on the bottom of my feet as her skin shifts beneath me. As I step, the skin feels warm and squishy. I use her thumb as a hand-rail and do my best to find my balance as I inch to the center of her palm. I can feel her pulse underneath me, as the weight of where I was rushed over me. I was sitting on a living platform, in the palm of someone’s hand. I looked at my own, imagining from Vi’s perspective what I must look like to her. The one word that comes to mind was “insignificant.” I put my hands down to hold myself level, realizing I’ve shot my own ego down and look up to Vi who gives me a smile. “You ready?” She asks me. I wouldn't have felt ready if Vi hadn't given me such a beautiful smile before asking me. I quietly request “Be gentle?” knowing that my hangover wouldn’t be able to take moving very fast right now.
With all the care I can imagine Vi could take at her size, her hand slowly lifts me off the nightstand I was trapped on, and into the air, closer to her person. I couldn’t help but look over the edge a little bit, knowing that we are just going to get higher from here once she stands straight. I watched the floor push away from us as she stands, taking me with her all the way up. Once stationary, I look around from my new perspective and take in the view. From up here, everything looked almost to scale with me. I took this brief moment to imagine myself as a Giant and how normal Vi’s room looked from all the way up here. I imagined flopping down on the bed, or being tall enough to grab one of the perfume bottles from her dresser top. I imagine myself being eye-to-eye with Vi and being able to face her without the primal fear of Giants chipping away at my resolve. I turned to look up at Vi, who I see was watching me look around the room like it was the first time. I look away as I become embarrassed for being so interested in her room & my surroundings, it must have looked dumb to her to see the puny human in her hand was so easily entertained. “S-sorry..”
*************************************************************************************************************
I watched Cain tentatively walk into my hand, unsure at first, but pushing forward anyways. I admired his courage while holding my breath as he settled into the middle of my palm, afraid that any movement would spook him. Once he was still, he looked up at me to give me the ‘go ahead.’ This felt different, this felt much more..intimate to me than last night did. Last night, Cain was unconscious, unaware, & unmoving. He didn’t need to trust me last night, he didn’t even know where he was at the time. Now, he had to literally put his life into my hands, choosing to do so even after Myra & her friends were so cruel to him. I felt grateful that Cain was still willing to give me a chance, still interested in making our partnership in the apartment work. I bring him close to my chest, being careful not to bump him with my chest. The thought made a rosy red color creep along my face and I felt embarrassed for even thinking of that. Quickly I ignored the flashing images of Cain in his boxer shorts from last night, hair wet and face soft & peaceful…”STOP” I scream internally at myself. Looking down to see if Cain saw my embarrassment, I noticed that he was looking around my room like it was the most interesting thing to him, like he was studying it. I didn’t want to break his concentration on whatever it was he was doing, but it didn’t last long before he turned to me and acted like I had caught him doing something he wasn’t supposed to. “S-sorry..” He says quietly, but just loud enough that I can hear him. “It’s weird being so high up, it feels like I am a Giant just standing in your room, everything looks so normal up here…” He explained and I smiled, “Maybe I should get on the floor one of these days to get an idea of what you see?” Cain didn’t seem opposed to his suggestion and nodded “Wouldn’t hurt.” he says as I turn to leave my room.
I walk out into the hallway & to my kitchen, holding Cain steadily. “Are you a fan of pancakes?” I asked him before setting him down on the countertop. “Absolutely! You do have syrup though, right?” He asks with a tone that tells me we are going to be okay.

Coolsville
(1,413 words)
At a Halloween party during college, Evan's friends ask him a question that gets him thinking. 🎃🕷🍫👻
Evan hadnt expected to enjoy the party. College parties in the movies were always so loud and rowdy, and everyone would always be drinking and being obnoxious and-- its almost like a buffet table of everything Evan doesn't like.
He almost hadnt even gone, but of course, Gregory had somehow wrangled him into going, even without him there by his side, having to stay home to finish his comic page before his deadline. "Come on, Evan, you have to take risks every once in a while. What's the worst that could happen?"
And Evan had truly tried his best to find the answer to that question on the way there. His friends from college, people he met in classes and activities around campus who invited him, were the ones to pick him up.
But it somehow didnt cross his mind that these are his friends, and they-- they know how he is, and they're good friends, so maybe the party wouldn't be as bad as in the movies.
It ended up not being, when he finally arrived and there werent even that many people. The music hadnt shaken the walls or hurt his ears, the place was covered head to toe in halloween decorations, jelly window clings on every glass surface, streamers and balloons and ghost and gravestone shaped cookies layed out, tropical punch food-colored radioactive green on the counters.
It hadnt been like the movies, which are like Evans worst nightmare-- it was fun.
He'd danced badly with his friends, the number of attendants small and not overwhelming. The music turned from techno to spooky quickly, as soon as people in costume started showing up. Evan himself is starting to run out of ideas (so many Halloween's going all out with Gregory is making his internal costume bank run on empty), so he'd had to settle on one half of his homemade duo costume with Gregory; two beanie baby bears, The Beginning and The End.
Any tightness he'd felt in his chest dreading every second he got closer to arriving at the party slowly but surely ebbed as time went on. He munched on the sweet treats, colored frosting turning his tongue orange, and talked with his friends. Norman, who he met joining a birdwatching club, talked about some drama with his ex-girlfriend back in high school, and Kenny, who he met simply after being partnered with him in a group assignment, told an elaborate story about when his dog went missing as a kid and how they brought her home.
Any uncomfortable-ness that could have lingered is nowhere to be seen by the time everything's said and done. Evan's shocked to see the time at 11:28pm when he'd arrived at six, so he shoots Gregory a quick text letting him know he'll be late home.
After reading Gregorys enthusiastic response, Evan heads back into the living room, where the TV is playing some cartoon on mute, Lo-Fi Halloween music is playing softly on the speakers, and everyone except Evan and his friends has cleared out. The cookie plates are empty, the punch bowl almost drained, and Evan's face hurts from how much hes been smiling all evening.
After he settles on the couch, they all get to talking again, Evan seamlessly re-entering the conversation feeling like he never left. He doesnt feel like a burden here, not like he did with his 'friends' in high school. He laughs boisterously as Kenny recounts an inside joke.
At some point, everyone tired and their batteries draining, they switch the topic to something that's just as childish as Evan likes it; Twenty Questions.
The questions are tame at first, like favorite foods and colors, but they get more personal and in depth as time goes on. They ask about first crushes, most embarrassing moments and history with friends.
One question gets Evan to pause, though.
"Okay, okay," Joshua, whos-- great, really, super great and awesome, starts after the giggling dies down enough to get any words out. "I've got one. Let's say you walk into a room, and everyone you've ever known is there-- who are you going to find first?"
Evan blinks, not even having to think. They go around the circle, like they have this whole time, until they reach him. "What about you, Evan?" Joshua asks.
"My brother." His mouth says so quickly he almost surprises himself.
"Really?" Joshua asks, smiling. He's met Gregory before and they got along great. "Why him, out of everyone?"
He only takes a second to respond, but he doesnt think anything he saying has any thought behind it. The words are already in his mouth, so sure when they spill out.
"Who else," Evan says. "if not him?"
Everyone seems to take that as answer enough, Joshua nodding before revealing his own answer. It's like background noise to Evan, who's still staring at the same crumb-riddled Frankenstein shaped paper plate that's been sitting on the coffee table this whole time.
Who else, if not him? Evan doesn't think theres one person in this world he would choose over Gregory. Not Cassidy, no matter how much he loves her, not Cassie, not his family, and certainly none of his blood family.
He tries to think of a scenario where he does. He can't.
It always circles back to Gregory, who found him almost ten years ago now and changed everything. Gregory, who is the sole reason hes here today. Gregory, who did more for him than anyone else. Gregory, who he cant imagine living without, who he wouldnt want to. Gregory, who's always been there for him. Gregory, who caused Evan to become the person he is today.
Gregory, whos the only reason Evan came to this party, met people he believes are real, true friends, had fun on his own, took a risk.
He took a risk over a year ago, when he ditched his family and hightailed it to the Fazbears when he was eighteen. He took a risk when Gregory convinced him he was capable of college, when theyd made plans when they were so young that college felt infinitely far away to Evan. He took a risk when he mumbled his name to Gregory that day, the chance of getting it spat back in his face a real possibility.
Who else, if not him? Evan cant think of a single one.
He gets the sudden urge to text Gregory, and the moment he sets a hand on his phone, it vibrates with a new text message.
Gregory: if u dont come home soon im gonna be asleep when u get here lol
"Evan?" Joshua asks suddenly. Evan jolts, glancing up to look at him. The chatter has stopped, and Josh is staring at him in a way where Evan can tell it's not the first look he's sent. "Are you okay?"
A smile creeps up on Evan's face, wobbly but enough to make his cheeks hurt. "Yeah," He says, rubbing at his thankfully dry eyes. "I just-- think I'm gonna head home soon, yknow?"
Joshua smiles ever so slightly. "Yeah."
Norman and Kenny start awwing, and it makes Evan smile even wider. Joshua grabs his keys after they're done hugging Evan, and they head outside and get in his car together.
Its quiet when they start driving, and Evan sends a text to Gregory before looking at Joshua. "I'm sorry if it seemed like I wanted to leave at the end, there..." He feels the need to say. "I just-- got to thinking."
"About what?" Josh asks.
Evan smiles instinctively. "My brother."
Joshua chuckles, shifting to just one hand on the steering wheel. "I get it. Yknow my parents had another kid when I was like, twelve?"
Evan's eyes widen. "Wow, really?"
"Yeah." Joshua says. "They were worried we wouldn't get along, but... even if it was hard at first, we got close." Evan looks at him from the passenger seat, and the smile on Josh's face is all genuine, pure love.
"Hes nine now." He says. "I think... I think nowadays, I'd do anything for him."
Evan smiles, it's a small, soft smile, and he thinks back to a twelve year old Gregory, a lightning bolt of a kid who struck Evan very suddenly and swept him up in a way he'd never forget.
"Yeah," Evan almost whispers, turning on his phone and looking at the photo of him and Gregory when they were fifteen as his lockscreen. "me too."

an: i luv luv shoyo he is so sweet and special. i thought he would be perf for this!
pairings: timeskip!hinata x fem!reader
warnings: none, fluff fluff fluff!!

the cloud of vapor that swirls from hinata's lips causes him to shudder. for the first night since high school, he stands at the bus stop in the middle of winter.
the sky paints a beautiful picture above him with vivid streaks of pink and orange. those that pass by offer him a friendly smile or nod, and the sun sets with a warm goodbye.
if he didn't know any better, tonight almost feels hopeful.
hinata can't help but smile. really, today couldn't have been worse. not only did his car not start this morning, but he lost his wallet as well. he missed almost every serve at practice, and he's pretty sure he rolled his ankle at some point. the cherry on top was when every teammate of his left, leaving him stranded at the gym.
which is where he finds himself now, standing at the bus stop with nothing but the keys to his apartment. he chuckles to himself as he pictures his wallet, resting in the middle of his kitchen island, where it always is.
a habit he can't seem to break.
thankfully public transit is free, or he would really be stuck. he fixes the beanie on his head, one that he found at the very bottom of his gym bag, and checks his phone. it's friday night, which means the start of a small break for MSBY before their next trip. hinata grins once more, remembering his plans for the night. a quick shower, grabbing something to eat, before heading to bokuto's for some movies and hopefully, drinks.
the hiss of breaks grabs his attention, pulling him away from the group chat on his screen. he steps on, finding a spot quickly, and lets out a sigh of relief at the warmth. his cheeks turn pink, nose a tad rosy, but he feels at ease.
when the bus pulls away from the stop, he feels a bit more relaxed. he's already mapped his route home, only six more stops to go. his fingers come up to run his hands through his hair, completely forgetting about the hat. it slips off, slowly falling to the bus floor. hinata's fingers reach to grab it, but he's met with something much warmer.
"oh-"
"sorry-"
he looks up and meets your eyes, and can't help the gasp that leaves his lips. how he didn't notice you before, he's not sure. you're breathtaking.
at this rate, he's never fixing his car. not if it means he can see you again.
"here," you gesture the hat towards him, and he accepts.
"thanks. y'know, i forgot i was wearing it," hinata smirks. "i just don't wear hats very often."
"you're welcome. i know the feeling."
a silence falls over the two of you. with only the isle between you, but it feels like yards away. you were dying for an opportunity to talk with him since he walked on the bus. his bright smile, soft red hair, and cheery attitude were almost magnetic.
"so," you clear your throat. he looks in your direction with his eyebrows raised. "do you take the bus often? i don't think i've seen you on before."
his arm reaches up to scratch the back of his head. "almost never, actually. you see, my car wouldn't turn on this morning, and i didn't have time to fix it today. i was able to get a ride this morning, but i was left on my own tonight," he shakes his head with an airy laugh. "but i don't mind. i used to ride it a lot in high school."
you hum. he points to you.
"how about you?"
"oh!" you suddenly feel nervous with his warm brown eyes on you. "the bus stops right in front of my work, so i just take it in every day. much easier than driving through downtown during rush hour."
"right!" hinata turns his full body towards you in excitement. "i absolutely hate when our coach schedules practice for those times-oh, my name is hinata shoyo by the way," he reaches his hand out, and you share your name while you shake. "my teammates never seem to care though. i just get so impatient,"
"tell me about it," you sigh. months of trying to navigate the stresses of the parking lot come to mind. "you mentioned teammates, right?"
"yep!" he beams. you could melt on the spot. "i play volleyball, um, professionally," his words trail off at the end with a polite, less enthusiastic smile.
this is the part where hinata usually falters. the conversation goes one of two ways after this; either they perk up at the sound, suddenly interested in the word professional, or they roll their eyes. no matter how he delivers it, it's never received in the way that he hopes.
"wait, for MSBY right?"
his ears perk up. "yes! how-"
"i've seen you before. there's a billboard right outside my office."
he nods, almost a little embarrassed. he really hopes that it's at least a good photo.
he only has a couple stops left, and he really doesn't want to blow this. you're the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, and he is positive that this isn't by chance.
"w-well, i could get you tickets if you would like. i mean, if you're into that sort of thing,"
you smile. "i would love that! i've actually always wanted to go to a game,"
"what! now you have to go," he laughs, a real laugh and you can't help but feel warm inside. you can't seem to remember the stresses of the week, not with him beside you. "here, if you wouldn't mind."
he hands you his phone, contacts already opened and ready for your information. you fill it out quickly, sending yourself a message before handing it back to him.
"we're actually headed to tokyo next week, so our next home game won't be for a bit. but, i promise i will let you know when i find out!"
"you're sweet."
hinata blushes. his mouth opens to speak, but he's cut off by the hiss of the bus breaks once again.
"well, this is me," you stand up, grabbing your things.
his stomach flips.
"mind if i join you?"
you giggle. "to walk off the bus? is this even your stop?"
no, it's not.
"why not?"
you think for a second before nodding. he gives you a toothy grin. the two of you thank the bus driver before heading off, one right after the other. hinata hits the pavement with a sigh.
"it was good to meet you tonight," he says your name with a smile.
"you as well hinata. got any fun plans for the evening?"
"i was going to see some of my teammates. how about you?"
"oh my gosh," you stretch, looking up at the light dancing of stars. "order take out, watch a show, go to bed late," you shake your head. "nothing too exciting."
the two of you stand in silence once again. hinata kicks at a rock on the sidewalk, and you pull at a thread on your jacket.
"hey-"
"yeah i-"
the two of you look at each other with shy smiles and quick laughs.
"i have a few days off until we head to tokyo. would you want to get some dinner with me before then?"
"i would like that," you eye him as he starts to turn on his heels.
"okay, then it's a date!"
"see you soon, hinata. text me!" you shout with a giggle and he turns around to give you a wink.
"you can count on it!"
