Burnt out

#initially this was meant to be something else entirely #but i wasn't really liking how it was going so I scrapped the idea and opted out for something a bit more personal #ive been really suffering from burn out for the last few years and just barely keeping my head above water #there are times where i seriously feel like ive failed in every aspect of my career #like if i were good enough i wouldn't have burnt out #i love my job and i love my trade i love every skill ive gain up until this point #but its been hard not to take it personally when all the effort you've put into honing those skills #are abused or exploited #life is difficult enough already and and time is fleeting #taking time for yourself is above all the most important thing you can do to help your work flourish #taking a break isn't failure #its health #we aren't machines despite our industries treating us as such #just waiting and hoping that itll pay off #ive certainly learned my lesson #and im looking forward to brighter horizons #and healthier more respectful ones #ill be okay ive learned how to love my art in my personal time again #but i certainly need to let my mind rest and my body to recover #these tags are lengthy anyways #unionize and dont work for nothing from large companies #be gay do drugs love your friends make art for yourself too #my art #scuttles out of here #i hope these long ass images actually show up in full resolution #i did draw them fucking TOLL as hell

started thinking about the okipara museum artwork and i just realized what flower 18!kara is holding in it.

those are alstroemeria, which can mean perseverance and yearning for the future in hanakotoba....

Not me listening to this and always imagining how when Karlach ( @infernaliscor ) chooses death, the scenario in my head is that she shoved Minthara away from her so she wouldn't burn up with her. Then Minthara crying outright as she crawls back over to her and pushes her hands into her ashes and collapses onto her knees. Staring down at what's left of her love, her darling love, and just cries before she barely has enough lucidity to gather as much of her ashes as she can into a leather pouch. Where she then has two swords made from them, two swords that she carries on her back as she goes into Avernus herself, just as she promised Karlach, and enters the blood wars to make Zariel pay for ever laying eyes on her. With Karlach protecting her back just as she did in life ... swords she will plunge into the Arch devil herself, still killed by Karlach even in death.

Someday I will put together my thoughts on what it means to me that the entire persona 5 fandom loves goro akechi. That we all seem to agree that he is not the villain of the story. That people write so many fics where he gets to be better. Do better. Where one thing Changes and he gets to have the same happy ending as everyone else. Healing him is rotten work, but not to us. my healing arc will be the story of me mending my relationship with the colour pink

#i used to love pink as a kid #i dont remember the reasons #as to whether because it was society imposed #or just a personal preference #but then overtime when i realised how mainstream pink was #and how overly feminine and girly it was/is #it lost its appeal in my eyes #pink went from being just a colour to the flag bearer of feminity #and as a masc who is too fem passing it felt hurtful to my energy to associate myself with anything pink #i ended up hating pink to judging everyone for loving it and for it's extremely gender imposed overuse #but now when i realise that irrespective of its social or cultural background #pink as a colour has always made me look aliver and brighter and me-er #despite it being only so because of the colour chemistry it has with my physical figure and NOT because pink is my colour or vibe #I've learnt to grow on it and accept it #and that i don't have to conform to gender norms to like a colour for what it is #it provides a fresher perspective looking at things as an artist who understands colours and their significance #now i accept and love whatever pink that works for me as i do with my feminine energy and counterparts #in the end pink is just a colour #bisexual #masc lesbian #pink aesthetic #pinkcore #pink moodboard #pink #pink blog #coquette aesthetic #coquette angel #coquette

#;about #about #;self #self #/i think it was a really neat concept to make the puppeteer look like a puppet and the puppet to look more alive than the puppeteer himself #/its that contrast; when i first saw him i was like; i have to know what is going on in here #also i just really like the theme of puppets in media in general #the line 'what once brought him wealth and fame now traps him forever' is a banger #another thing that was so spot on is how when he came out; the attention was immediately set on louis (the puppet)#and its like;;; that's exactly the point of his design; i just think that even without having to write these notes #one can perceive this constrast between the two immediately #and of course louiss catches ur attention more in comparison bc of the brighter colors and such #(putting to the side the fact he looks funny and scary of course)#but its that instant storytelling through design that i really like about i.dv characters #its the lil details that make u want to knowmore about each of them and reveal clues about them #like how m.atthias looks like he's decaying; the burnt parts; the stuffinf coming out of his arms; the pins trying to hold one side in piec #i wish they kept the stuffing on the head part; but perhaps it would be too obvious #from the detail of matthias' hair looking messy and torn and louis' hair looking tidy and combed #and u can tell the puppet has a resemblance to him; their hairstyles are essentially the same #its about the decaying man- like a flower no longer receiving the sun; shrinking and loosing its color
