i think a lot of transmascs are simply new to the community. weve all been new at some point. when youre the only trans person you know, of course it feels like youre the only one with problems because youve only ever seen your own problems. when i started transitioning i only knew myself and a few other transmascs who all shared the same problems, and it felt like the end of the world at times. i thought, how could someone be treated worse than this. it was the worst i had ever been treated in my life, and im also autistic and grew up being bullied for that and neglected by my parents. so when i got online and saw all these posts about how transfems had it so much worse than me, i was frustrated and offended. i had never heard of a trans woman having problems. and how could someone be treated worse than i was being treated? but it’s been four years now, and its true. the transfems in my community are suffering so much worse. and there are so many posts about it because of how many people just don’t understand it. people ignore them because they feel offended or like they arent being aeen or like surely is cant be worse than Their problems- and then ignoring it means that people remain unfamiliar with it.

From an autistic person, Autistic Blaire is so true and real. I get she’s supposed to be malicious about gender but she’s deliberately written to want the best for people but not understand boundaries. If someone sat her down and told her (and the author wants to write her as anything but the ex-girlfriend) and said “hey, you’re cis. So am I.” she’d back off. But nobody can say what they mean despite the fact that they do nothing but talk at each other for 300+ pages. You’re right about the QT collective being more interesting/entertaining but they’re the same 1-2 personality traits as all the other side characters who show up to talk for a few pages and then disappear for 5 chapters. We know they’re not gonna get with either of our leads so they’re just “tall stoic one”, “mom and daughter”, “short buff one”, “misogynist” “crushing on misogynist” “trans guy who wants a boyfriend” etc etc. I get everything I need to know out of less than a sentence so I don’t care where their lack of arcs go. Anyway can’t wait for ballroom night in 2 years where all that happens is Blaire asks that DJ lady what her pronouns are, she doesn’t understand what that means, they all go home after 20 pages of filler dialogue and Riley cries alone or something. And Jaden can finally meet One member of the QT collective in maybe five more chapters if we’re lucky where she’ll continue to not understand gender and nothing will happen.

HELP YEAH she'll spend 500 more pages on edging the readers and introducing 10 new brave radfems who appear in one chapter and are never mentioned again and 5 on jaden and riley (the endgame relationship btw) getting closer (idk riley gets jaden a glass of water and jaden is like HOLY SHIT... what id like to see explored in future games / i fanwork: her identity! we see roxas's frustration and anger about being his own person plenty but we hardly see xion upset at her predicament. i think this is because she wants to do the right thing, not because shes okay with the situation. i really want to see xion's feelings about not having her own identity explored, given that everything about her is based on either sora or his memories of kairi and she was basically created in a lab as a tool for organization 13. she should feel weird about existing in the first place, especially next to roxas and naminé, who dont have the same history behind their creation

in addendum to that, i want to see xions character design change to something more unique. she already has a new outfit, but id love to see her have a new hairstyle (whether she grows it out or just puts it up) so she has something different than a mirror of kh1 kairi's hair. i think ive also mentioned that i think itd be interesting if xion had her own eye color after kh3 (side note its bullshit we never got to see her norted eyes in kh3. she shouldve played a bigger role in the story too but thats another rant) to symbolize that shes her own person now, not a puppet meant to copy sora. lastly she !!! deserves !!! her own keyblade!!! there's so many cool keyblades from days to choose from & theres the weapons from her boss fight - theres no reason for her to still be using the kingdom key and i really hope she gets her own soon.

Quinn joined because of their intrest in true crime

Sol's mom and younger brother were killed years ago and the police said it was a drunk driving accident but he thinks thats bullshit so joined to possibly get some answers

Jamie's obsessed with the idea of ghosts and spirits

Rowan works for the school newspaper and adores horror movies

Ana also works for the school newspaper and shes mainly in charge of notetaking for the group

It doesn't really have any romance however they do have a very found family dynamic that i adore

both the tweels > bpd, autistic. also partially blind in both eyes and wear contacts (morays have shit eyesight), their vision gets shittier the lighter the ambient, + they have shit balance but are pretty fast. they have long hair shaved on both sides, are black w/ vitiligo, notable on their face on the same side of their black hair strand (stolen hc), and have freckles with their merform's colors. oh and their gills never go out so they can breathe underwater + their ears are that shape i drew on floyd always, bc the potion cant take those things away. they have some scars from brawls in the ocean. in my head they also purr. AND theyre both transfem. to me. (they use any prns but mostly he/she) + theyre every gender under the sun & bissexual/panssexual, they date everyone regardless of gender

floyd specific > adhd. gets overwhelmed pretty easily and his meltdowns consist of him whining and crying and breaking stuff and wanting attention. can understand tone when hes in a good mood only + has super control of his tone & voice, not masking just very good w it. he can toletare tight clothing but as long as its 1 item, prefers large ones. also he likes enclosed spaces and needs stimulation 24/7, never stops never stills, either has music or is fidgeting. special interest is fashion (mostly shoes) :3c

jade specific > slight ocd. its not that big but its there. hard to get overwhelmed but when he does he breaks and throws everything around him, even people. has more difficulty w tone and his face + voice is almost always stuck in that customer service one, poor guy. absolutely LOVES tight clothing and tight spaces. hes not very hyperative hes just chillin most of the time. vibrating slightly sometimes when hes vv happy. special interest is mushrooms ofc!

bonus riddle > bdp, autistic, ocd. also has depression & anxiety. uses he/she and is transfem bigender sapphilean (mlm wlw) ! the white strand you comented abt on my art (thank you sm for the kind comments btw <33) is a hc that i have about the after effects of chap 6. she ended up having that white strand and cant seem to get it out no matter what... has dyed it before but gave up eventually. anyways she has chronic pain on her wrists bc of writing so much! i also hc that his overblot left burn scars on his arms, legs & face. in the begginings of nrc time he had an ED, but after his 3rd year he was very recovered and is now pudgy. her special interests are books & hedgehogs :D

So he's extra irritable, too many heads are rolling once again, and she's trying extra hard to avoid/ignore/turn down any of Sebek's and Silver's offers to hang out BECAUSE SHE JUST FEELS SO AWFUL ABOUT IT like they really. REALLY need to talk it out. SebeSil go to someone else (can't think of any1 rn, maybe lilia?) to ask for advice on what to do... expirimenting with the kind of relationships im portraying in this new story im working on and wanted to write it out...

there are two seperate narrators:

Helena, a nonbinary transfem (she/her),

and Jonah, who is just some guy (he/it),

these are the other characters: Stella, a cis woman, she/her... Rosa, nonbinary, they/them... Adam, a cis man, he/him... Dirk, a trans man, he/him... and Brandon, a cis man, he/him.

and like first of all I don't generally write characters who are like me very well for some reason... however Jonah is a lot like how I was in middle school. undiagnosed autistic who just fucking hates new people. Helena is less like me but she has like the vibe (actually Helena is the name i call myself when I feel more feminine, lol)

and like the relationships are already interesting cuz Jonah hated Helena because she was new to it but he's like slowly accepting her existing because she's the only one showing sympathy to him (he's a prick and its friends have just kinda given up on it, but she's like "well obviously theres a reason")

and then there's Jonah and Adam, Jonah has a big crush on Adam, who used to bully it in middle school but is now his closest friend, and Adam prefers his twin brother Dirk (who yes is a trans homestuck and named himself after Dirk Strider)

and then like I'm not sure what I'm going with Helena regarding the relationships she has with the group, but I know Stella has a crush on her, which i think will lead to a very casual relationship. but like I'm thinking she might also end up having something with Jonah because I love a casual polyam vibe in my stories. But also i love the idea of them being casually queer platonic besties like me and jaxx

I also want to expand more on the non-pov characters, especially Rosa at the moment because they don't have a romantic link to anyone. I'm thinkin that they're aroace, and so far i've been focusing too much on the romance aspect but i want each character to be well-written and interesting to read about.

Stella also doesn't have much about her yet. So far she's a stoner with pink hair, and even though she has a private scene with Helena we havent learned anything aside from her hobbies. i have to figure out what links her to the others, aside from being queer and punk and a poet.

Adam I think has plenty of info for what I want people to know so far--his attempts to be as kind as possible, his control issues, his goldenboy persona, his people pleasing, and some hints at his issues. I'm doing a lot with Adam lol.

I also want to bring Dirk in more. He's currently in a ward and all we know about him is that he has bipolar depression, he's Jonah's twin brother, and everyone likes him better than Jonah. I want to kind of show that he has some guilt for that and show how much he loves his brother and wants the best for him, while also maintaining him as a character apart from Jonah.

Also Brandon is kind of just a support character for Helena, as her older brother, but I do want him to have a plotline. He's sort of meant to represent my own older brother, which is what makes it difficult to see him as a person outside of Helena. Also, he isn't a part of the main group,and he doesn't really hang out with them much, aside from walking home with Helena and Stella.

Also important is why the group sticks together. Stella, Adam, Jonah, and Dirk have known eachother their entire lives, since they grew up in the small town together, but what made Rosa a part of their group? Why are they keeping Helena around? They're all poets, theyre all punks, and theyre all queer, and maybe that's enough of a connection but I want there to he more ties involved, especially for Rosa, as the one who was an outsider before Helena. What made the group accept them? Why do they stay with the group despite Jonah's assholery and the constant drama between Adam and the twins?

anyways i've only got two finished chapters so far and i suppose i should write character sheets now that i've articulated some of what i want to do with this!
