I was dying to participate in this, but I put a little twist on it - these are a selection of 100 of my all-time favorite movies that I currently have in my DVD/Blu-ray collection.

keep in mind that when all the Blockbusters, Gamestops, etc went out of business, that was a boon for me.

#polls #when I tell you I spend HOURS in used dvd stores #like... dont bring me to one. we will all regret it #anyway a lot of these are goofy or nostalgic #but again many of them are from going out of business sales!#occasionally i'll splurge on a new release even to this day #if it's a movie i particularly loved #but mostly i just wait until i find them used. it is too wild that until some point in the late 2000nds (sp?) every movie was cut off on the sides and squeezed into a square for home viewing

do ya ever think about that? How when you'd buy a VHS you'd never get the experience that you got in cinemas but a cut-down version

like, look at the top left here and then the bottom two. imagine having to make sure every scene works in two entirely different screen formats.

(And then vertical video attacked sometime in the 2010s and we never recovered)

A movie/series not being available to stream anywhere in a whole country is like?!?!? I'm literally BEGGING you to let me give you money, that feels like something you should want??
