A Nice Dinner Out

Yevgeny was six years old today and his mama told him he could pick any restaurant to have his special big boy dinner. He picked Chili's because he heard Kev and V talk about it once and figured it must be a fancy restaurant. And boy was he right, this place was way better than Patsy's. The waitress gave him crayons he could use to color on the menu and everyone in Chili's clapped and sang to him when they brought out his chocolate cake. This place was the definition of luxury.

Yevgeny was finishing his cake, licking his chocolate covered fingers when he noticed his parents arguing. Again. Yev doesn't mind his parents bickering, Ian told him it was their love language so his mom and dad must love each other a lot.

"What you mean you lost wallet?"

"I didn't lose it bitch, I just misplaced it."

"Misplace it where?"

"Fuck should I know?"

"So it's lost you dumbfuck!"

Yev watched his dad rub his eyebrow.

"Look, you pay for dinner and I promise to pay you back later," his dad suggested.

"I forgot wallet too," mama says avoiding his dad's eyes.

"Then why are you giving me such a hard time?"

"Because now we can't pay for dinner!"

Yevgeny's dad looks around the table and starts putting last couple bites of his dinner in his water glass and mixing it in to create a gross smoothie.

"My mom used to do this all the time when we were young," dad says. He finished making his concoction and slide the glass over to Yevgeny. "Here kid, drink this put don't swallow."

"No thank you," Yev said scrunching up his nose. "I'll eat my cake."

"You want to poison my son?"

"No, just create a distraction," dad answers. "Do it little man and we can come back next month with Ian."

Yevgeny was sad the Ian had to miss his birthday dinner. He had to work but he did give him a new Pokemon deck that they opened together before he left. It had a Metapod which was cool because it looked like Uncle Iggy.

"I have to drink all of it?"

"No, just take a sip and when the waitress comes back spit it out on her and act all sick and shit," his dad explained. Yev was always good at acting sick. His dad made him do it to leave Lip's house early all the time.

Yevgeny did what was instructed. His parents picked him up declaring that they have to take their son to the hospital. In fact it was probably the food that made him sick and they should contact a lawyer.

With a comped meal and a promise to not press charges the young Milkovich family left the fancy dining establishment.

"You like your birthday dinner?" his mama asked when they got onto the L taking them back home.

"Yeah, but maybe next time I don't have to drink dad's weird drink. I didn't like it," Yevgeny yawned as he leaned into his mama.

"Don't worry, I make sure your stupid father doesn't do that next time."

"Hey, you forgot your wallet too bitch!"

Yevgeny closed his eyes as listened to the loving sounds of his parents arguing.

what if nep was a pokemon trainer

now THIS is what im talking about!

that’s an au that would be fun to write and even funner to read. the idea of nep as this trainer with a bunch of cutesy pokemon who seems harmless but is absolutely vicious in battle has me LIVING.

in fact i like this idea so much i uh... might have made a whole comp team for nep? though its less the team i think she’d actually use and more a nep themed team. so i didn’t really even achieve my goal, but i had an idea and i committed to it. i went a little overboard so i put it below the cut to not clog anyone’s dash.

SO obv this has to be an all cat team bc nep and also that’s a fun little challenge to make viable, moreso than just taking any “cute pokemon”

gonna be using the VGC 2021 ruleset on pokemon showdown for this, as it is compliant for the most recent ruleset for VGC aka series 7 rules. this - unfortunately - doesn’t give us a lot to work with! there aren’t many cat pokemon to begin with and swsh’s limited pokedex has even less! BUT...

we DO at least have incin, the 3rd most used pokemon in the format. its pretty easy to see why, as with intimidate, parting shot, and snarl incin make a stellar support mon. i just grabbed an average ev spread for it off pikalytics and slapped some safety goggles on its face cause i like the item, and we’ve got a pretty standard incin. dmg is where we’re going to find some issues as the best i could find was our next pokemon

LUXRAY, everyone’s fav lion pokemon. giving it guts, a flame orb, and boosting its base 120 atk as much as possible it can hit pretty hard! then we just slap the rest in speed and pray the enemy doesn’t have a higher base speed. its not the best the format has to offer, but it works for the most part.

THIS ABOMINATION on the other hand, doesn’t work at all. the basic idea is that if someone goes for intimidate or some other stat lowing thing on me, meowstick gets a boost to SpA via competitive. if that happens - or sometimes even if it doesn’t - i can use calm mind to get a boost to SpA and SpD, and all of this will make stored power stronger, as it scales based off how many stat boosts your pokemon has. this all sounds good in theory, until you realize meowstic’s base SpA is 84 which is PITIFUL. even with a life orb, if i dont get stat boosts i’m going to be tickling the enemy with each attack.

following our theme of things that don’t work, this liepard set! usually liepard’s are a support pokemon with prankster and fakeout, but that overlaps with incin’s role. so instead i have unburden - which gives us insane speed once we lose our item, and a weakness policy that’ll boost our atk and SpA a TON if hit by a super effective move (and also a baton pass to maybe give those stats to another pkmn? bad idea, but a fun one). but how do i expect liepard’s squishy ass to take a super effective hit without dying?

THIS IS HOW. is using sylveon maybe cheating bc idk if its really a cat? yes, but hear me out. i need it. with its pixilate and quick attack i can hit liepard with a super effective priority move thus activating the weakness policy. it also makes a decent special attacker in a pinch.

finally, i wrapped up the team with perrserker. mostly bc a steel type is REALLY nice to have and also there weren’t many other choices. assault vest makes it pretty tanky and with a high atk and steely spirit it should do decent dmg if its abysmal speed doesn’t doom it.

so YEAH that’s the team. it’s bad. BUT i played two games with it, won the first and was THIS CLOSE

“As well as Soul Eater”

There’s only one–Fullmetal Alchemist.

It’s hard for me to think of any other anime I like as much as Soul Eater–Fullmetal Alchemist is about the only one that I feel just as strongly about. That’s not to say that other items on this list aren’t also enjoyable, and in ways that Soul Eater is not.

But FMA is like the antithesis to Soul Eater: I enjoy FMA because I really get into its story, I “enjoy” Soul Eater in that I nitpick it to shreds, seeing what it could have done that would have been so much better than what we got.

Both FMA and Soul Eater got me back into anime, at different points in my life. Having some of the same editorial staff as Soul Eater, both at SquareEnix and Studio BONES, a lot of the same sense of humor and sentiment persists across both.

Whether you’re watching the 2003 FMA anime or Brotherhood, you definitely get an epic, in the most classical sense of that word.

Trying to identify any commonalities it has with Soul Eater (distrust of authority) is so broad that it’s hard to find in both works, given how drastically different they are in terms of comedy and sincerity in its messages (Arakawa seems more committed to a message, Ohkubo keeps undermining his own message or being sarcastic).

And below is just all the other tons of anime I would recommend. I’m not saying anything below is stuff I “like as well as Soul Eater,” but it’s all stuff I would watch again.

Speaking of FMA, let’s talk about other stuff I enjoy watching…

Foodie Anime

Silver Spoon: From FMA’s creator Arakawa, this delightful slice of life story about agriculture, horticulture, and cooking demands a viewing.

Restaurant to Another World: I haven’t gotten to the second season, some of the fanservice stuff is tacked on, but episodes are so short, giving a quick crash course on the history and process of making certain meals. It’s the kind of show to put on when cooking or eating.

Dagashi Kashi: I haven’t gotten back to this series, and, yeah, the fanservice stuff is going to be annoying. But just for learning about the history of candies, it’s decent.

Robots

Patlabor: Too much copraganda, but seeing as the show itself is intensely self-critical of police practices, you can stomach it. And it’s a comedy, with most of the story coming out of the characters. If you want a mecha story that is down to earth, similar to what you get in Megas XLR, you’ll like this one.

G Gundam: Aside from how bad the “Captain Nationality” motifs are, this is about the only Gundam series I enjoy, just for how silly it all is, and how awesome the action is. But speaking of Gundam…

Gundam Build Fighters: Like I said, I’m not a Gundam fan, which is why I enjoy this series. If you are a Gundam fan, you’ll love all the Easter eggs. If you’re not, the story works on its own, very much a kind of Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh story.

The Big O: Boy, this was a great one-season series. Sure was excellent how that one season combined all that was great about the gotham noir of Batman: The Animated Series with giant robots. Sure glad Cartoon Network didn’t screw it up with a second season that had its head up its own ass with philosophical bullshitting trying to act like all the world is a stage and that this was all reality warping crap. Sure glad we gave up giant robot battles for pseuod-intellectual muck. (Is it any wonder this series and Fire Force do the exact same things I hate in storytelling? Please, whoever at Toonami is producing anime: get better at this–I can’t think of one anime that Toonami or, hell, even Funimation or Crunchyroll has produced that I thought was super-good. The Big O, Fire Force, but also IGPX, Dimension W, the goddamn FLCL sequels, even In/Spectre which I largely enjoyed, all US/Japanese co-productions that just have so many flaws that just don’t work.)

Zoids: Chaotic Century and New Century: You get Star Wars with giant robots, you get a sports competition with giant robots–what’s not to like?

Other Shonen

Gintama: The series gets the best of both worlds–it gets to embrace sincerity when it comes to loss, grief, and trauma, and it gets to take the piss out of its own overly sentimental moments by being a parody-based gag-oriented farce. Some jokes really do not hold up and are awful, but when there are so many episodes, you can mostly skip those awful parts in an essential-watching marathon. I only value a lot of what the series does right all the more, given that I’ve seen manga really screw up and engage in some of the worst storytelling choices that Gintama was making fun of a decade ago.

Blue Exorcist: The first anime has the same problems you’re getting with Soul Eater–it does its own ending, and it’s so abrupt that it feels like it contradicts plot points and messages that came earlier. The soft reboot continuation manages to do a fun short saga that sticks closer to the manga, but it feels like a tease of more to come–and, unless another season ever happens, you’re stuck with the manga.

My Hero Academia: I hate to say it, but I fell off from watching the anime around the Nighteye arc. Some of it owes to, as far as I can see, the theatrical films taking up resources that really should have gone back into improving story pacing and animation quality in the main series. The manga remains engaging, if not always for good reason (there are some bizarre plot choices), while I just haven’t gotten back to watching the rest of the anime.

Yu Yu Hakusho: I’m ambivalent as to its ending, but it is seminal storytelling for how to write and build up stakes in a fight.

Dragon Ball Super: I never liked any Dragon Ball stuff–so I was shocked that Super was something I legitimately enjoyed. It took this franchise so long to get to something that I think works in all regards: the animation is more colorful and pleasant to watch, the characters feel like they actually have depth and care about each other, the humor is ramped up, and, hey, more Saiyaman!

Sports Anime

Hajime No Ippo: As I said before, I so do not like sports. So, getting into sports anime is hard for me. While I enjoy something like Haikyuu, I screwed up and skipped to the manga’s ending, which kind of ruins where the story goes for me. Ippo is different: I have seen where it’s going in the manga–and that just has me more excited to see it get an animated adaptation. While I whine so much that an animated reboot of Soul Eater would make things worse, I think an adaptation of the rest of Ippo at least would still have some good boxing matches, and show some real highs and lows that happen in that career. Ippo does not shy away from the good and bad that comes from boxing. I never got into Ashita no Joe, and nothing against Megalobox, but Ippo has the right mix of heartwarming and realism that I can keep going back to it. (Except Takamura. Fuck Takamura–bullying, plot-armored, sexist sack of shit.)

Light and Laid-Back

How to Keep a Mummy: I got into this series late. It’s a relaxing, charming story, basically what I would love to see the manga Magu-chan: God of Destruction get in an adaptation. If you like the supernatural bizarre stuff from Soul Eater, this is like a younger kids version of that, where people just accept that reanimated corpses, ogres, and so on are real, but it’s chill.

Tonkatsu DJ Agetaro: Take the short-form structure of Pop Team Epic, add some foodie stuff, and teach the audience about music–that’s a winning combination.

Ouran High School Host Club: I am debating including this here, not only because of that certain actor in the lead role in the English dub, but also that so much “fair for its day” stuff was, no, it was homophobic and transphobic, that didn't hold up even in "its day." But if you can look beyond that–and that is a lot to “look beyond”--Studio BONES did produce a well-animated, visually stunning, hilarious, heartfelt adaptation.

Other

The Devil Is a Part-Timer: Like the title says–it’s goofy fun, even kind of a reverse-isekai without all the baggage that story motif has had.

Lupin the Third Part 4: As with Dragon Ball Super, it took way too long for this franchise to create something that I found enjoyable, that got over its worst instincts and delivered something that wasn’t just intelligent but had some legitimate sincerity. It takes all that works from The Castle of Cagliostro and adds far more of the heist stories and rough edges from the manga and the anime. Plus, it gave us Rebecca, someone who can actually keep up with Lupin without just being a copy of him–please, bring back Rebecca for a full-length movie or season arc.

Bungo Stray Dogs: If you love the soundtrack to Soul Eater, you’ll at least love the soundtrack to this series, as it’s the same person, composer Taku Iwasaki. Studio BONES brings the same intensity of animation, action, and bizarre character designs and visual choices (the fisheye lenses). This is more seinen, but it feels like a soft transition from shonen tropes to seinen tropes. Plus, if you’re a literature nerd, you get to enjoy the namedrops to various authors and their most famous works. The more comedic chibi series Wan is also highly recommended–and, jeez, for a more comedic show, it is still grim, sentimental, and sad in spots.

Noragami: Another series from Soul Eater’s musical composer Iwasaki and Studio BONES, this is basically Soul Eater if Fire Force didn’t screw up its ending. It says everything Ohkubo was trying to say, only better and before he did: it reflects on what gods actually mean to humans, what roles they and religion serve, and it still has people that turn into weapons. I would skip the OVAs, as they engage in some sexist humor.

Blood Blockade Battlefront: Yet another Studio BONES production–it’s just a wild ride. And since it’s from the creator of Trigun, I should also recommend Trigun for getting a thoughtful meditation on what it means to take a life.

Pop Team Epic: Its short structure means that, if you don’t like one segment, wait a bit, a funnier one is coming up. It is so bizarre and worth one watch.

Space Dandy: I hated how this series started. By the end, it was an intelligent set of one-off stories, each with their own style and story, all of them eventually reflecting on the art of storytelling without getting to Evangelion levels of trying to say something meaningful and smart and instead just saying something superficial about the artifice of stories. It’s funny, it’s bizarre, it can bounce between hilarious and tear-jerking sentimental. And it actually says something about fanservice rather than only “hey, look, boobs.”

Toradora: This romance has pain, but at least it’s a comedy, so you’re not getting some tragic ending that is just a gut-punch with little weight. It’s funny, it’s heartfelt, you are rooting for the main duo.

Duel Masters first English dub: This thing should not have worked. Don’t bother with the Japanese version–just watch the gag dub, it’s great comedic relief.

Outlaw Star: Reboot this, kill off Gene, replace him with Hilda as the lead, you will get rid of 99 percent of your gender-based problems and get a protagonist who isn’t gross.

wrapping things up with some closure  on the ty/cho situation. this is the last time i will be bringing it up. if you’re wondering what i’m talking about, you can see the receipts and the files here. massive content and trigger warnings here include, and are surely not limited to, gaslighting, abuse, sexual harassment, ableism, antisemitism, racism, and most damning of all, literal and actual rape. i’m telling you, it’s bad. take my word for it when i say to avoid ty/cho at all costs. this is not some meager drama; this is a legitimately dangerous individual. what’s worse is there are even more details i know now (not included in the callouts) that i cannot divulge, as they do not involve me, as if this scum of the earth could be any worse. just know that this is a very terrible person and to not read the receipts if you don’t think you can handle the contents. in such a case, please just take my word for it instead and block him, avoid him, all that jazz. he is an actual rapist. avoid.

that being said, the theme i’ve noticed with all of this tomfoolery of his and actual crimes and traumatization of people is the domineering of an entire group of rpcs using intimidation tactics, including over those he’s hurt the worst, in the most reprehensible, objectively inexcusable ways ever.

the rpcs tycho played prominent roles in are beyond just pokemon and sonic. the way i met him was through the smash brothers rpc (which, unlike the general smash fan base, is a darling and kind community). smash is rather all-encompassing for video games even outside of nintendo, and he is plenty aware enough of the fandoms within that umbrella. mario, zelda, fire emblem, pokemon, sonic, metroid, castlevania... you name it, he knows it, and he will therefore have association with it that makes him a danger to these communities as is. his influence cannot be understated. he was a huge influence for a lot of people and groups.

the way he weaponized anything he could get his slimy hands on left so many people fearful and in silence. the worst i’d gotten were some jitters about how... out there and volatile he could be, but i’d otherwise not been suspicious of anything too egregious, especially nothing like what has come forth. i really didn’t get the brunt of it. however, the subtleties were there, and they had unfortunately lulled me into a sense of security that he, in all of his flaws, was a fine person and an admirable man. of course, we all know now how horribly wrong that is... but it goes to show that his charismatic nature had been used expertly to harm many people for his own selfish gain.

he left entire communities and groups of people mum on the situation. no one, no one was able to speak up in fear of retribution, not to mention the fact that his smooth way of manipulating people made it seem like he was on this untouchable pedestal. it was quite the opposite, and we all know that now. the only reason he was on a pedestal was because he brute-forced everyone else away from his level, threatening the worst if anyone so much as dared to find stable ground with him. in reality, though, his pedestal was a farce, a pillar filled with cracks that was destined to fall. it didn’t just crumble, though, no. it collapsed and was promptly blown to smithereens. once that one hunk of rubble came loose from that pedestal, his world came crashing the fuck down. it was an inevitability, and i’m sure he knew it was.

why would i make a statement that bold? simple: when i caught wind privately of what had gone on, i’d blocked him on all fronts. it hadn’t been more than perhaps a couple of hours before i realized that i’d still had him on my twitter, too, but he’d blocked me already before i got to do so myself. it often takes some time to realize a mass-blocking has happened, at least from what i can imagine (as i’ve not been mass-blocked like, ever before in this rpc i think?), but ty/cho was on it fast. it was almost as if he was watching and waiting for the shoe to drop. it was like he knew. it happened so quickly that it gave me whiplash. he was waiting for this.

another fun little detail i found was that he, as he had done to many other people who treated him with nothing but kindness, shit-talk me behind my back. let me tell you that the smash fan base is a terrible place where you can be harassed just for liking your comfort character, thinking they would be a good fit to the roster, even if your behavior is innocent and without harm or annoyance to other smash fans. those who have been here long enough will know that i’ve undergone a lot of bullshit because of my love for geno, and so have other geno fans who have done nothing but innocent speculation. one person i know personally had even gotten his and his elderly parents doxxed with death threats launched his way. i’ve seen people state that they want to, ah... let’s just say knock the wind out of geno’s fans and cover them in flammable material. let’s just put it that lightly. it’s very bad.

ty/cho knew this. i’d vented to him about it once. i praised him for being a competitive smash player that wasn’t as vile as any of the trash in that community (an as an addendum, there are some good comp smash players! the bad ones are just very prominent and very loud!). i praised him for accepting people of their comfort characters, emotional support through way of a character i connected with, not to mention the cases for many other folk, as well.

turns out, he used that information to shit-talk me behind my back, whining and complaining about me daring to like a character that ‘nobody cares about’ as if i was some fucking smegma gremlin on the face of the earth. you know, ty/cho? he did that, yeah? the guy who played nack the fucking weasel? the guy who knew i was sensitive about this shit because of what the smash fan base put me through? the guy who obsessed over and loved his own comfort character, too, and should have understood what that felt like?

needless to say, i’m pretty reviled about that. i entrusted him with this information, and he knew how much it hurt me... so he weaponized it. he specifically picked out what pained me and utilized it for harm when i trusted him. my case is a whole lot of NOTHING compared to everyone else’s, to be sure, but the core concept is chilling. he will find out what hurts you the most and attack you unprovoked with that knowledge. thank god it was just about my fucking comfort character and nothing worse, because others were unfortunately not as lucky. i got out totally unscathed by comparison.

the way he used puppet strings and played people like fiddles to keep his image pristine was beyond fucked up. he tarnished the trust of so many people. he made entire communities drop and leave because they were terrified of ty/cho ruining their lives even further. they felt unwelcome around excellent people who had done no wrong to them because of ty/cho, when said excellent people more than likely felt the same and feared them because of ty/cho. it poisoned the entire well for these communities and made everything go so quiet. the sonic rpc and smash rpc, in my experience, suffered the most. a lot of my sonic mutuals and sonic mutuals of friends either left or went awfully silent. the once-hopping smash rpc became practically like a ghost town. all. because. of. ty/cho.

he is a danger to both individuals and to entire communities alike. he doesn’t care about what we as people think, though, so how about i pull the nasty, petty card and hit him where it hurts? considering all that he did, i think it’s more than justified. ♡

Gender Headcanon: Male. Just your average guy who dedicated himself to Pokemon and has been traveling the world to stretch his research internationally. (Probably was a Gen 1 fan at first seeing as Oak is his mentor) What an icon™

A BROTP I have with said character:

Oak / Willow = “Wow dad you’re so old.” “Look in the mirror smartass” The two are... Well, one may be the teacher, but both are rivals in the way they’ve studied Pokemon. I’d say Willow is more than eager to surpass his old teacher and learn more, but Oak’s still on the cusp of teaching him that knowledge and wisdom comes with both age and experience, not just talent.

Willow / Sycamore = Sycamore teaches him how to flirt but all he can say in French is Omelette du fromage. Sycamore just gives him a thumbs up and nods. Also likes to talk to Willow about his thoughts on Lysandre and other presumptions of Mega evolution. Currently, the professor has been researching it with me!

Willow / Kukui = Nut Oil 

The two are super super close in terms of being pretty darn compatible! One likes to trek the world, the other likes to TAKE Pokemon moves front and forward. I’d say they’d both pull up at the gym to compare research before getting down to it (Don’t think like that, ya nasties. Unless you DM about it so I can die with you on it.)

I’d say because they’re the most newest professors to be “here”, they’re more than eager to prove their work, but once the Professor told me that he’s worked in Alola for a short while to get a better understanding of Z moves... I wonder if he has a Z ring..? I heard those are WAY special, even for a regular guy like me!

Willow / Juniper = Can you imagine if Willow like, had a past with her / knew her when he was younger and they had a “thing”? Like, maybe not BF / GF but like, openly flirting with each other but neither actually taking a step. They’re close friends regardless and do like to chat when free... But I think internally, Juniper’s greatest “regret” would be similar to Agatha: She never really had time for romance or for being “a simple person” since she’s always gonna be Professor Juniper: Woman extraordinaire. And I don’t mean this in a bad way at all, what I’m getting at is: Juniper is the pillar of stability for Unova as a professor, so, she doesn’t have time devoted to being anything else but that. I like to think that she and willow have that in common; The desire to be unique, yet... Also the desire to be a normal person too. 

In reality, it’s probably Willow who reminds her that everyone can be that too: Self care’s important as if you don’t take care of yourself... How the hell you gonna take care of anybody else can I get an amen?

It’s that reasoning that causes Juniper to take Bianca as her assistant: not just to give her help round the lab but to help Bianca form her identity like she wanted to with the help of the BW protagonist as we see in her Dreamlink battle.

Willow / Elm = He... Doesn’t know Elm much since Elm’s more than happy to take time to simply work on Pokemon breeding and abilities, but the two get along alright. In reality, Elm was the one who gave Willow advice / basics of Pokemon eggs and helps him develop theorems based on what eggs can hatch what Pokemon we have now! TBH, I’d say if given the chance, Willow is literally the “Cool guy” at the party and Elm is the “Hey I’m just here for the dog” dude. They both bond over Candela’s growlithe who was hatched out an egg and had ice fang as a move.

Willow / Masked Royal = Willow keeps a poster of him in his lab! (I had to REALLY get him to get me one too, god, so lucky!) He’s a fave of the professor and even Willow has been “trying” to wrestle! Tho, given how much he’s had to be bandaged afterwards, and Kukui prolly told him how he once got guillotined by a Vikavolt I don’t think it’s a good idea... That said one time the professor showed up to alola to see a match and the Masked Royal invited him to fight against him and boy oh boy I STILL wanna hear what happened! Supposedly the joint said it was one of their biggest events yet! The headliner? 

“Rag-tag wannabe Wrestler sizes up the comp. with the Masked Royal! Blow to blow and and Pokemon to Pokemon, there is no competition without motivation!”

Honestly Willow trusts them a great deal and it’s obvious he’s the guiding hand to their exploits and understandings of their own journeys. Blanche learns about the power of emotion and trusting in others, Candela learns about taking things easier and letting go, and Spark understands the essence of both knowledge and power: He still walks the middle path.

He sees aspects of himself in each of them, but I’d say that’s his favorite thing about them: it reminds him he’s still growing and journeying on his own too!

A random headcanon: Willow once tried out to be a Pokemon ranger, but in regions and times where Rangers aren’t “very well used” globally aside from Fiore and certain other places, Willow dedicated himself instead to research as he was more so interested with reading his Styler’s bestiary rather than to simply befriend Pokemon alone.

Because of this, he can still USE a capture styler, and he’s a fairly good ranger, but in spite of the effort to BE a ranger, he’s much more better and tossing curve balls and getting an “Excellent” on a jigglypuff!

And the coolest professor thus far! There’s a lot of things unsaid about him but man... I’m totally here for him! And not JUST because he’s cute as fuck. He’s always a caring character who watches your trainer grow and motivates you to keep on going forward! 

It’s hard not to like that when you’re playing the game and incorporating that in your daily life! 

I think unconsciously I also still have that big dad issues thing where that when I have a father figure in life, I WANNA do things to make them proud because of the little to no relationship with my own father. I’ve done that with my high school teacher, and I’ve cried when I saw that in Lisa’s Substitute from the Simpsons. It reaches into that for Willow to be so welcoming and a breath of fresh air, it’s turned into a “I wanna do this not JUST to be praised for it. I wanna do it because it’s for ME.” instead. I mean, I’ve grown from the person I was, but there’s still the need for wanting to make someone proud and to see that Willow is pretty big now on measuring your journey now with these daily tasks, I think that sorta makes me idk more grateful for a character like that?

My feelings for the dude as a whole started out as thirst, but it’s become more of a psychoanalysis of my own relationships with men and my “types” as a whole. I quite like that, since he isn’t so “detailed” as it stands. It gives me more of a chance to make him out to be instead something I want to be, rather than what I just find ideal.

Pfftt, sorry, it sounds rather complicated, but really saying? Willow is kinda like the new beginning I wanna start for myself for a long time. I’ve reached it, but it’s the fact that he’s such a cool character that it’s really just me projecting wanting to be that cool on a character that COULD really be amazing. I’d say I’ve reached that coolness now, being myself. So, only thirst remains.

For this week, I would like a Bryce/Jose HoH because I think I'd be safe and because they'd go after Blake/Alivia/Lynn. HOWEVER, then next week, I'd like Alivia to win HoH and get Randy out because I do NOT trust Randy. Basically, provided I can get past this week with all the messy twists... SO, tea time with Ali! Except... not really. I'm literally about to set a BB Pokemon record because it is literally week 6 and I'm in 0 ALLIANCES. This is a MESSY MESS MESS. I wanna be in alliances, I want safety. Meanwhile, conspiracy corner... John was given the Jigglypuff, he didn't play it. The phrasing on the wiki & the posts were all.... off. I think Randy gave it to him, but I also feel like everything sketchy that happens is.... by Randy. Like I think Randy is the bot, and Randy is being this cracked mess... According to Sammy at least, the bot is now sending fake screenshots? WHAT KIND OF CRACKED JUJU IS THIS. I dont love this at all asjlkdfa In other news, Bryce & Jose _will_ be this season's F2 and I will not accept otherwise. Bryce is such a solid ally, like he is so sane, so nice, so good. Jose is the love of my life lkjafdsa, he is SO SWEET. like a good, wholesome boy right there is Jose. I LOVE THEM BOTH, THOSE ARE MY BOYS. I am a feminist, but I will convert to meninism if it means my faves make F2. ANYWHOMST. I think I'm going home this week and I'm really worried. Like really worried, I've played badly and I'm now really expendable, and people are gonna send me home i literally spent a total of like 6 hours prepping for veto and I still screwed it up. woo okay soooo i haven’t been able to make one of these in awhile cause I’m on vacation so i apologize if this is long....so to sum up everything I won hoh with the help of zeezo and Bryce. I had to nom ali and ashvika because i knew it wouldn’t cause that much drama. Then....they both got taken off so I nommed Dennis and Randy. I wanted randy gone from the getgo because he is very smart and sneaky. I’m pretty sure he was behind the Nicolas Julia account as well which really made me upset. He also never responded to me but would tell ppl to pm him and yeah. Other than that, the conversations i did have with him were great, and he’s super nice and even made me the birthday video. I just wasn’t too close with him. I just made up a random excuse for Dennis because I had to hide the fact I’m in an alliance with Kat and Jose but also zeezo and Bryce. and alivia and John couldn’t have been nommed....so if i had to make another nomination it would’ve been Lynn and Bryce....so that would’ve been very very bad for me because like I’m also close to blake so i can’t nom him. Anyway randy was crying on call and it made me super super sad and i felt like a bad Person so i was like wow:/ I have to decide which alliance I’m gonna choose but it might be zeezo and Bryce because like Jose and Kat don’t tell me everything and don’t like agree with me about votes and i think ali autumn Jose and Kat voted Dennis. Idk I’m just so done haha 

if one more person tries to build the peace in this house i'm going to throw them through the closest possible window. i honestly feel like ali and dennis might have accidentally stumbled into the wrong game bc this is bb pokemon not whatever snowflake athena series you probably came from. i've tried to help ali throughout this game and explain to him that this isn't some summer camp where you braid each other's hair and make friendship bracelets but the kid just doesn't get it. i give up, and i think we need to focus on getting all the snowflakes and fatties out of this house as soon as possible. right now in the game i think that i might actually be in a pretty okay place. the house seems to be pretty divided vote after vote. there's the scammers, bryce, ashvika, sammy, and zeezo vs. the fatties: jose, john, ali, kat, and autumn. and as of now we outweigh the other house so we have a pretty good unofficially aligned group going here so hopefully we can keep that going!

My favourite moment in the game was when I got the opportunity to mutiny. I was in a bad spot on my tribe with the majority of people on it wanting to target me and because of my losing streak I was in a really bad place. - I had to go to every pre-merge tribal other than the one I was exiled for and then the round after I mutinied (not to mention one of the tribals I didn’t go to wasn’t a tribal at all due to kelsey striking out) which proved to me I made the right decision. It also reconnected me with my closest allies, Jackson, Akito and Trixie. Up until the mutiny I was feeling really defeated and getting the opportunity to do that breathed new life into me in this game.

As for which tribal I felt I had the most control of, this is difficult, because Mo’s and Akito’s blindsides were the only tribals I went to where I felt I didn’t have control. A lot of tribals were orchastrated by me and Jackson so I don’t know if there was a time where we were on the same tribe and one of us would have had more control than the other on a vote. I do think however that Jackson is only here right now because of me and how loyal I ended up playing with him. There were multiple opportunities where I could have flipped on him or made moves against him. I could have forced rocks the night Richie left which, no matter what, would have left us with a very different final 3. RYAN M:

I was actually excited at first that maybe this time we would have a chance to work together, but for some reason there was just an underlining distrust between us. Still recovering from your idols in crayola I felt that the smartest thing was to not be completely honest with you incase you did have something you could pull out your ass like tyler did in the Mo blindside. You then decided you wanted to block everybody on our tribe, so I literally couldn’t pm you anyway and to be honest I don’t know if you ever unblocked me? I also know that you wrote my name down at tribals, so there was no point in trying to reconcile with you even if I could at that point. If you want to base your vote on relationships from ebola or who we voted at the end then thats on you, you’re a juror I’m not going to sit here and tell you what basis to make your decision on and as pathetic as I personally think that would be it is entirely up to you. Akito- Skitty, because skitty is one of the cutest pokemon and one of my favourites, "it is very popular due to its adorable looks and behavior."   Ryan M- Seviper, because there is just something about this pokemon that reminds me of you, can’t quite put my finger on it though, "It has been bitter enemies with Zangoose for many generations.” - i must be a zangoose huh.

Ryan P- Unown, because we like barely ever talked or got to know each other so I know virtually nothing about you other than what others have told me, "Unown is an extremely rare Pokémon that lives in its own dimension and rarely ventures outside."

Yes my opening statement sucked, I was blackout drunk at a halloween party and had to find time to write it lol. The reason I let Jackson be the one that everyone saw being in charge was because I wanted to play this game completely different than I’ve played before. I usually play openly making big moves and letting my self be a target, that strategy in the past has only gotten me to the end one time where I lost 7-2 because that was the way I played the game opposed to who I was sitting next to at the time who played a more seemingly under the radar game. With that loss fresh on my mind I knew that in the end phase of this game I wanted to appear like I wasn’t making waves and to let someone be more vocal than me, the best thing I could do was to appear as a goat and let Jackson believe that he’d have an easy time beating me in the end, because I wouldn't hold my ground and express that I actually played a good game. I feel like he bought that and I think I was able to convince everyone that I was just playing for second when thats not the case at all. In the Rocks situation I did contemplate flipping and risking getting rocked out to change the game, but what really was the deciding factor for me wasn’t actually the risk of me going home, it was the fact that I knew 100% Trixie and Jackson were going to take me to the end of this game, although I was still confident in the bonds I had made with you and Bryce these were two people I knew I could trust and potentially beat at the end. If I did take you out in that vote I was taking out arguably the biggest threat in the game, because I knew you had a great shot at winning, I knew that if I was on jury I’d vote you to win so everything lined up and made sense to take you out. This game I focused a lot of gameplay around the social aspect of the game, I met a lot of great people and made great friendships, there was only one real pre-merge tribal council that I didn’t have to go to and I was able to get out of that one because I used the twist of being able to mutiny to my advantage. I survived more tribal councils than the people I’m up against tonight, I feel like I fought the hardest to be here out of us three, of course not competition wise, because I knew I was terrible at comps so I had to make up for that in another way and I do think that I was able to play a killer social game that got me to the end without ever needing to rely on an individual immunity. Out of the 3 of us sitting here I don’t think it would be fair for any of us to take full credit for a move that went down during a tribal council, because that’s just not how they worked this season. Due to the amount of idols in question and strategizing that had to go into these votes they all had to be a group effort. Any one of us could sit here and spout off about how, for example, the Rafael blindside was our move, but it would be BS. Each tribal we all held the same level of control of what was going to happen and we discussed and talked thru each move before it was made. There were only two tribals where I was genuinely shocked at the outcomes and those were Mo’s blindside and your blindside, in a strategical sense the 3 of us played nearly identical games, but as I said before I believe my social game is what made me stand out from the competition.

For your second question, I feel like it could definitely apply to multiple people on the jury for me. Firstly I’d say Ryan M, because in the last game we played together we were always working against each other even though he seemed like somebody that I would have actually been able to click with, unfortunately feelings from our last game carried over and we still never got to connect, especially after the whole blocking incident. RTP is someone that I heard good things about before coming into this game, and I feel like we also never got a chance to connect so he is someone I would have liked to get to know more. I feel like everyone else on jury I had built good relationships with, I would say too though, that if I had Bryce and Richie on the same tribe with me from the jump I feel like I wouldn’t have been as down in the first few rounds of the game as I was and, on a personal-nongame related level, it would have been nice to spend more time with them as well. So overall if I have to just pick one I would say Ryan M, because I really wish we could have squashed any beef we had had prior to this game. LINUS:

1. Social butterfly!! Never met anyone with such a stellar social game, you left me quaking! Competitions? King! You carried our tribes, honestly idk how you got out, it had to have been a rig. Strategy? you were the master of flipping! you full on murdered akito at tribal! Ruthless, cutthroat, iconic, unstoppable, legendary! also.. "Now listen here, thot! Why would I want your smelly vagina when my best bud’s anus (no homo) is right around the corner for fresh tasting and sampling!” that earned you the win day one.

Here’s a comp of all the shit dreams I’ve had since the beginning of the year.

1/30/17 I was at school again. Again, as in this wasn't back in time, I graduated and had to go again. During my time this day, I had heard from a girl that she liked me and was being uncharacteristicly flirtatious. After lunch happened, they refused that I was there, citing an attendance sheet, despite the fact that I was there. I was furious. I hated this place so much, and was so close to entirely giving up, if I hadn't already. I left the building, and for whatever reason my dad was waiting for me. When I got into the car, my cousin was there. We went to Burger King, and there we had to have a car with identification as to our religon. We were branded as atheist, with little devil horns on the car, even though as I'm an atheist, my dad is a christian. We saw some christians there, but I saw the Amazing Atheist, branded with False Prophit.  When we pulled up, my dad was gone from the car and my cousing started my order. The casheer started insulting us, and I called her a bitch and told her to do her job. My cousin got my order wrong. When we pulled up and got my meal, my dad was out near the street with a camera. We got him back into the car and the dream ends. (Note from 7 months later: What the fuck???)

1/31/17 For the first part, it's very vague and forgotten. I do, however, remember browsing 4chan and it seemed to be covered in the CGs for a new H-Game. NSFW CGs. It seemed to be a KS thing. This wasn't in the dream but I imagine whoever made a full sequel VN would get C&D'd to hell and back. Part 2. I was in a very large game store with 2 friends, one of whom being k1ngz, and the other of whom I forget. We were there with my father and I had told them if they wanted something I might get it for them since I didn't have anything particular in mind, and the one I forget got a $50 pair of headphones, to which I said no. Looking around for a while, not finding anything, someone walked by with 2 chihuahuas. One was calm, but the other one tried to attack me, and had to be pried away by the owner. Eventually, I ended up looking at a bunch of Kingdom Hearts games.

5/28-29/17 This was almost a compilation of dreams. First was me playing some kinda multiplayer lego game and being kinda pissed at what some people were doing. I don't quite remember but we were building and floating above some sort of sea. I remember some weird guy there who kept building the same structure again and again, it was some sort of place you'd see casually but I don't remember. Next is the most vague part, where I'm looking at 8 playlists Youtube has generated for me, but I decide I don't like it and X out the playlist until I get a music one. I realize some of the music is Metroid music, a game I've never played, and in fact quite a lot of it. Then was me watching some One Piece movie despite me not having even finished the first arc. I remember that at some point, Kaiki Deshuu showed up and got really fuckin' cut up, like real bad. He was taken aboard a pirate ship where Luffy saved him by destroying the entire thing and catching a very convinient boat to safety with Kaiki. This transitioned to a scene in a road. From the right side, roundabout could be heard. A car drives up. It's the Griffin family. This goes to a part where I believe I am in the Griffin house, in the perspective of Peter. I later realize that it isn't, because what the fuck this house design couldn't even exist. It was a weird setup where you had to move the stairs, which were very frail but somehow didn't show it by stepping on them, down, or moving around the hollow stairs to get to a tent flap that led to the bathroom. At this point I thought "Wait, is this MY house?" Which was even more insane because my house only has a single floor and my bathroom obviously doesn't have a tent flap. Suddenly, I'm in the perspective of Dory from Finding Nemo, who goes in and it isn't a bathroom, its some sort of TV room, where I see a scene of her and a Minion. Finally, I'm doing some sort of investigation of this dude who looks like Mimzy from South Park and is wearing a red track suit. I forget what we talked about but it probably had to do with the fact that he saw kids in the place's arms falling off and was supressing laughter. Like, they weren't even that shocked or bummed, they were kinda like "Aw man, really liked those arms, this sucks dude."   What the fuck.

I don't remember this one well at all. Basically, via playing some kind of game I met Fither. He decided for some reason to take me onto a podcast, which was actually a podcast that already existed by different people. For whatever reason, my room had a huge box in it. I got in this box to do the podcast. I think it was for the mic I was using to pick me up well. In this podcast we tell a story about how, somehow, Fither, the other guy, and I ended up at a muddy lake, with me holding a bow which I played music on. Like, a bow and arrow bow. This is when the other guy in the podcast mentioned that this led into the next podcast wherein the speak about how a certain Pokemon song was written. I was not on the next podcast, despite the dream implying I had a great deal to do with that. I remember one of my last thoughts being something like "Man, Fither must really hate K1ngz to invite ME rather than him."
