Preparations are ongoing... I'm almost ready to start playing, just setting up a few things and finishing up some lots. In the meantime, you can enjoy reading about Iker's visit to his sister over on @zosa95's simblr.

I figured I might as well share a few things about how I will play the challenge. All is subject to change of course, because that's the Watcher's privilege ;)
Planning:
Submissions are now closed.
The first elimination has been scrapped because I ended up with 11 contestants. I'm gonna use that free day to set things up. Should I need less than a Simday to do that (meaning I can play the masquerade on Spring 1), I'll have a free day after the (now) fourth elimination, when the last 7 contestants move into the Bachelor Pad.
In case the above it too confusing, I'll share the planning of each round in advance.
Gameplay (and related things):
Initially there will be 3 households, one for Iker and Bradley (the butler support bro), one for 6 contestants, one for the other 5 contestants. I didn't want to change the household limit, too risky should I accidentally enter CAS.
There will be a club with Iker, Bradley and the contestants. That way I can have all of them over during downtime. Changing the max amount of club members sounded less risky.
Once the last 7 contestants remain, they will move in with Iker (Bradley will move out for a few days, then return after the next elimination).
All sims will be registered as self-employed (or freelance, should they already have a freelance job). I've removed the career-minded and self-employed TOTOs so as not to be influenced the fact that no-one can work during the challenge. I've left the slacker TOTO active (where applicable) because it says it also works with the lazy trait.
The romance style turn-off has been removed for everyone. Because literally everyone chose gift giving as turn-off. Which means it would only lead me to not use it, instead of influencing romantic satisfaction. And who wouldn't want a hand-knitted pair of socks from Iker?
Hair growth has been disabled for everyone.
All Sims are marked as immortal with MCCC. We're not looking to eliminate anyone by accident.
MCCC will also be used to freeze physique - I really don't want to bother about managing everyone's eating/exercise habits during the challenge.
Relationship difficulty has been set to 5 times as hard as normal (also with MCCC). I need to see how this plays out and might change it. I just don't want Iker being besties with everyone before the first elimination.
I've added a mod that should prevent fears from popping up. I don't want all contestants having the fear of being cheated on (which I suspect will happen). And turning wants and fears off and back on again is just too much trouble (and it resets the wants).
I plan to follow Iker's wants that are related to the contestants. I'll mostly be controling Iker, but I'll control the contestants during the contestant dates. And maybe at one or more other times - I haven't planned in that much detail (surprising, I know!).
I will enable autonomy. I sincerely hope it doesn't drive me crazy. I reserve the right to maintain full control of Bradley, he's my minion in this scheme.
I've not disallowed woohoo, so it might happen autonomously, or from a want. It might also cause drama, who knows. But given the more difficult relationship gain, it might not be that much of an issue (at first).

Legacy superlatives tag game (Bright NSB)
Tagged by @bastardtrait! Thanks for the tag. I kind of just had surgery so I'm a little out of it NGL, but I wanted to go ahead and do this because it looks fun and I love when mutuals tag me :') I'd put in screenshots but it's a minimal effort kind of day, yall
Favorite heir: 100% has to be Clem. Her generation was one I kept thinking about and toying with ideas for through the others, and I think it came to fruition pretty well.
Favorite spouse: While I want to spread the love and not keep it all in one generation, likewise, this has gotta be Silas.
Favourite spare: Florence! She's by far the one I've put the most focus on, and I really quite like her.
Favorite side character: Galatea. She shows up every time it's raining to try and die on me, but she is not permitted. She shall outlast the legacy itself. I love Servos, and her whole deal is just very fun to me.
Mishaps during your legacy: Gray was my fastest generation played, and I fully didn't realize that Floyd was supposed to break up with Lani until after he'd proposed. Really threw a spanner in the works, that one. Also, Violet hired a butler, but had to fire him because he constantly tried to repair Galatea, no matter if she needed it or not.
Largest number of children: I don't tend to do big Sim families, since the extra children always get neglected, both for screentime and in gameplay 😅 Floyd and Olivia having two more after he and Lani'd had Violet (for a total of three) was the most, unless I'm fully forgetting a fourth baby somewhere. Kacie and Rhys (Clem's little brother and his spouse) did have four through story progression, but I don't really count that.
Any surprises: I didn't actually get Lani pregnant on purpose! I went to play her household for a minute after the breakup and realized she was, as they once said on Yahoo Answers, gregant. I think this worked out pretty well for the story, though.
Favorite family pet: I also don't do many pets, but this would be Solar's dog Moon, who I kept aging down because I couldn't let her go 😩

🐍 Draconis Family | Generation 1
I’m starting the #TS4AscendantLegacy challenge by @spacesuitsims. 💫 It’s an incredibly detailed astrology-based legacy which I am really excited to explore! Full rules can be found here.
*I will include rules & requirements for each generation at the bottom of the post.*
We begin with my Gen 1 Taurus Rising sim, Evangeline Draconis, as a teenager living at her family’s mansion in Willow Creek. The Draconis line comes from old money and is rich beyond all reason, which is where her love for luxury is born. 💸

💞 Gonzalo and Selina Draconis are proud parents to one dog, Ryder, and six children: young adult Kellan, teen Evangeline & her twin Ciaran, twin children Sawyer and Arcturus, and infant Tate.
Those two certainly got their wish for a large family and are always extremely busy between raising the kids, working full time (Gonzalo is in business & Selina is in law), leading the Game Makers club for the wealthy and elite, and being there for each other. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Luckily, a full-time butler has always lived onsite to help manage the household.

The Ascendant is always in the first house and their positioning sets up the rest of the chart - much like your founder sets up your legacy family. Explore, grow, and create a legacy of your own. The goal of this Gen is to find your sim’s identity.

Reaper's Rewards - Week 6, Part 1
...I can’t stay away. Not when there’s a task list dangling in front of me when I pop into other files. Did skip ahead to the next day with the Goth family though. We’ve been replaying that Friday too many days! Bella worked and had a munch out by herself. Alex continued with talking to plants and I sorted out the researching ambrosia on another file. TO THE NEXT DAY. But first!
Neighborhood Watch!
San Myshuno: The Zeigler household moved out.
Oasis Springs: The Fujita household recently moved in.
SAVE. Might want to remember to do that this each day. Also we got a slumber party scheduled this day.
...really good idea I saved because hey, game crashed as I was trying to get Alexander to cook.
...aaaand all goals reset. At least I can research ambrosia. Game is buggy! Plants also didn’t grow. -grumble- Orchid first day and then NEVER AGAIN.
Right so once again, I am back to delaying until my pomegrante plant can grow and I get an Orchid. Or else cheat. Feeling and feeling more like cheating as time goes on but give it an in-game week, give it an in-game week. Right so, another slumber party at 7PM. Time to delay until then.
Hmmm. Alexander wants to plant things but we really don’t have the space around this place anymore to do that. Well, unless I want to tear down even more of the pre-made bush and greenery but eh. Let’s see. There is a little garden plot nearby I wonder what plants are in bloom. A pear and oh! Some roses! That would actually work real well with the gardening stuff around those bushes. Let’s get some. Next time also, gather up some lilies and plant them. It would be a good idea to have a few of those around the park as well.
Geoffrey needs to advise someone for his aspiration. Let’s go with Sione Hoapili and...he’s a klepto. We’re going to head off to the park. Successfully advised. Now I don’t have much more to do with Geoffrey. I’m having Alexander research the plants in a planter box and Venus play on the pirate ship. Oh! Garden Gnomes are here! Might as well have Alexander say hi to Moria and join up! It is the gardening + fishing club and what has Alexander been super into lately into that!
Also Geoffrey met Hector Laurent. Turns out, Hector is cheerful, family-oriented, and outgoing. A perfect new friend for Geoffrey and for Bella! Might as well say, “go say hello to my wife!” for that social thing. Let’s see, all three have done enough for their park business. Let’s head home!
...oh snap. We have prom and we asked Alexander’s date out to prom. Weeeeeelp. That’s gonna be bad. Shame I can’t send him to prom off-screen. RIP Prom but you happen every week. It’s time for slumber party!
Chatter is easy enough, let’s have some Sims play a party game. It’s time for Don’t Wake the Llama! Jenga is a pretty good party game, all things considered. Set-up be murder though.
Hmm. All we have is cookies. The cookies are from a previous part and- CUPCAKES! Hell yeah cupcake time. Thank you, cupcakes being free from the cupcake maker!
Hmm, after doing some other things, the sleeping bags were moderately set up. But alas, not everyone was alseep on them. Ah well. This is a haunted house after all. Some would take interest in the ghosties and the butlers.
...and some like Besty, just want to beeline for the tv and wake everyone up! GO TO SLEEP TINY CHILD!

Cherry tree is in full bloom! Let’s graft an apple shoot onto it. And thus, we shall get a spliced pomegranate tree! ...don’t need it but I’d rather not hold onto this spliced plant forever.
...Besty, I don’t trust you heading to the living room! Bella! Run interference! Have her play a game with you! Gold party completed! Next we’ll do the playtime captian for Venus. Should be easy enough since I am more than enough skilled for it. ...though we’re going to need to stick to being in a playful moodlet. That’ll be fun.
Alright, at 10:30, all the kids have finally left the party! It’s time for Bella and Geoffrey to have a museum date! Been ignoring Bella’s aspiration for too long so it’s her turn for the social events. Man, I do want Lovestruck. I am sick and tired of base game dates and want something different and fresh! But that’s another time. Anyway, flirtatious actions and paintings have been viewed! Man, I need to go more museums in real life. It’s so much more fun than doing it in the Sims.
Let’s see, date’s done, let’s have Geoffrey advise on friends and- oh man the artist club is here. Unfortunately, all of the artist club is famous painters and artists so I can’t just say hello! Fan hanging around it is then.
...ooh! And Geoffrey got a random phone call asking for advice so he’s one away from finishing this apriation! Let’s talk to someone and give advice! Ohp, several of the artists managed to say hello as well, including local artist Alice Kim-Spencer! Let’s have her say hello to Bella ...OH IT’S 20 INSTEAD OF 10. Makes sense. This is supposed to last for awhile.
Ooooh, we got the materalistic pop up for Geoffrey. Probably for looking at all that expensive art! ...also nah. Geoffrey is a nice guy who doesn’t care about things! Despite the fact he’s surrounded by things and married into wealth twice over. HMMMMMMM. Mmmmm, still will go with nah. Well Bella needs to go piss and she’s closer to the library and gym than the museum. Let’s go have her work out.
….annnd the death flower thing vanished again. BLARGH. I’m just going to assume it’s travelling to too many lots or something. Ah well. I’ll return home, save, then quit. Been too long anyway. Ohp, local gym trainer said hello, might as well nab a donation from Cooper as we take his training. He’s a lactose intolerant active dance machine. Sounds like a fun guy!
Alright, food and then bed for everyone!

Despite no longer being partners, Morgan Fyres showed up to Belcore's place to give him a gift of friendship! (a faux meat cube; this also happened to Adina once. But he seemed to like it.)

So Belcore's evening meant for kissing as many lady-hands as possible didn't end up very well, but when I had him return home, I accidentally had this one Sim (forgot her name) follow him, and so I utilized this opportunity to advance in the kissing department of the aspiration.

Instead of going again to the nightclub in Ciudad Enamorada, I decided, for a change, to take Belcore to the gym there, and while he was training, the little figure in the street in the back is none other than Eva Capricciosa, whom Belcore tried and failed to charm a couple nights prior (she straight-up said she wasn't interested in a romantic relationship at all).

I was unable to find the option to kiss this vendor's hands, so I instead had Belcore settle for an actual lip-lock.

As part of completing this week's Reaper's Rewards event thingy, I straight up had Dulcamara buy a séance table just to ask the spirits about Ambrosia. Because out of all the characters in the opera, I feel like Dulcamara is the most likely to do that (besides having the financial means).

Also I noticed that his butler (whom I hired right after completing the StrangerVille story arc) is ALSO Adina's butler????? HOW, SIMS TEAM, HOW??????

I also had Dulcamara summon the Grimophone to summer Grim at will. I considered giving this part of the task to Nemorino, since he would most likely want to bring his father back to life, but he definitely cannot afford that.

That day was Neighborhood Brawl day, so I had Adina fight Nemorino (I like to imagine that as kids, they enjoyed playfully wrestling together).

And after the date was over, Belcore decided to fight this one guy who kept inserting himself into the convo and making things awkward between him and Luna. (of course, Belcore won.)

Now that Adina has taken over the property, I thought she would want to update the farm and add in a new cow and some more chickens. Maybe I should also add some sheep and goats now that I have Horse Ranch, but it depends on the space available...

Belcore on a gym date with Colette (don't remember if it's 1 or 2 L's?), a vendor he met while completing his kissing spree at the gym a couple days prior.

When Belcore and his date kissed, I got a popup about the Romantic Boundaries of the gym trainer lady in the background (something that typically appears if a Sim in caught cheating on a significant other), whom I don't think Belcore has ever actually met before.

BUT, as soon as his date was over, he spotted the lovely Tomi Markovic (a former classmate of Adina's, the awkward valedictorian at their high school graduation), and decided to charm her at once.

Sims 4 Legacy Challenge ROYAL EDITION
Adapted from “The Legacy Challenge Lite”
Welcome to the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge - Royal Edition!
I could never seem to find a challenge that I could use to play out a Royal-themed challenge to my liking. The original Legacy Challenge provided the best guidelines with enough restrictions to make it challenging, not so many that it was overly complicated, and enough relevance that it could be adapted for Royalty.
There are actually two versions of this challenge. I decided to use the “Lite” version, as I was not interested in Scoring (but the link to that, if that’s something that interests you, is below.)
The rules of the original Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Lite follow after the Royal Perks I’ve added to this challenge. I’ve struck out anything I felt like didn’t add to the challenge or made it hard to keep Royal-themed.

Now, the fun part…
Royal Perks
Your founders may begin their lives in a palace as elaborate as you wish! Create the Royal home of your dreams - no budget is necessary! You may only use ‘motherlode’ while building your palace; once the challenge begins, this cheat is no longer allowed. You may use any Lot Traits you like, but think about which would best suit this challenge. The palace may be in any neighbourhood (ie. the Kingdom), and your Royal Family may interact with anyone in the game (ie. all worlds.)
You may create, download and/or move-in commoners, Nobility, other Royal families into your Kingdom but you MUST NOT PLAY THEM. You may only play a Sim once they are moved into your palace (ie. when they are married into the family.)
The challenge begins once your founder(s) move in to the Palace. You must set their money to §50,000. This is the last time you may adjust Simoleons. 
Your founder may be male or female (or X, for that matter) and single or married. They must not have any children. (Laws regarding Succession are below.) You may title them appropriately (King/Queen, Duke/Duchess, Prince/Princess.)
You may have as many children as you like! (Keep in mind your home’s capacity of 8. You may not be able to move through the generations as quickly if you have a lot of children.) Butlers and Nannies are allowed - in fact, they are encouraged! This is your chance to live an extravagant life!
Children and teens must attend school as normal. Heirs/spares may also attend University, if they choose. They must pay their tuition in full, without taking a student loan. It can be completed full- or part-time. The heir MAY NOT move into student housing, as they must always remain on the lot. The spares may go away for University, but must return to the Palace. 
When your Sim is the head of the family (ie. King/Queen) they MAY NOT hold a job. Their only job is to reign over their land. The heir (and spares) may hold a job while they are in line-to-the-throne, but once they ascend, they must quit. The jobs your Royals may have are limited to:
Freelancer Writer
Painter
Trendsetter
Photographer
Charity Organizer
Internet Personality 
Environmental Manager
Botanist
Military
During their lives, each generation must host the following three social events*:
Coronation - the Official crowning of the King/Queen. Plan this as a “Black and White Bash.” A solemn event - may take place on or off Palace grounds (typically, in a cathedral or the like.) The dress code is White Tie. Children are typically not invited. 
Royal Wedding - must take place in a church/religious establishment/civic building and have a full reception of 20 guests. Plan this as a “Wedding.” The dress code is Black Tie. You must be engaged first and may not elope. Children may be invited. 
State Dinner - this is an occasion for the Royal Family to show off their kingdom! This event must take place at the Palace. Plan this as a “Dinner Party.” The dress code is Black or White tie. The guest list must be full, however, it is limited to other Royals, Nobility and Celebrities. No children allowed. 
*Other than your founders, who are only responsible for one State Dinner, and one wedding if they begin unmarried. They have technically already been crowned, and thus do not need to have a Coronation. 
The guest list must always be set at the maximum (so make lots of friends quickly!) and you must hire a caterer, mixologist and entertainer. You must achieve at minimum Bronze level to count the party. If it was unsuccessful, you must throw another.
These events may occur in any order - it will depend on your storyline - however, the State Dinner must be thrown by the King/Queen when they are reigning.

Getting Started
Your challenge begins in Create-A-Sim (CAS.) There, you must design your founder. Your founder can be just about anything you want (they can even be an alien!) You can pick whatever aspiration you want for them and give them whatever traits you want. Pick out their gender, wardrobe, body shape and color, and even incorporate any custom content or mods. The ONLY two rules are that they must be of the Young Adult age, and they must be the only person in the household.
Take extra care when giving them their name, especially their last name, as many future Sims will have that as part of their name, so make it a good one!
Gender Law
The first component is Gender. You must pick one of the following options:
Matriarchy: The Founder must be female. Only girls are eligible to be named heir unless there are no female children, at which point boys become eligible for that generation.
Strict Matriarchy: The Founder must be female. Only girls are eligible to be named heir. Male children cannot, under any circumstance, ever be the heir to the next generation.
Patriarchy: The Founder must be male. Only boys are eligible to be named heir unless there are no male children, at which point girls become eligible for that generation.
Strict Patriarchy: The Founder must be male. Only boys are eligible to be named heir. Female children cannot, under any circumstance, ever be the heir to the next generation.
Equality: The Founder may be of either gender. Both boys and girls are eligible for the title of heir.
Strict Equality: The founder may be of either gender. However, only children of the opposite gender to the founder are eligible to be named heir. This repeats itself for the next generation (the next heir must be a different gender than the previous heir) so that each generation will have alternating-genders as heirs.
Bloodline Law
The Second Component is Bloodline law. You must pick from one of these options:
Strict Traditional: To be eligible to be named heir, a child must be naturally born from their previous-generation parents and be able to trace an unbroken bloodline back to the founder. Adopted children may never be named heir.
Traditional: Children who are naturally born from the previous generation are eligible to be named heir. Adopted children are ineligible to be named heir unless there are no naturally born children, at which point they become eligible for that generation.
Modern: Both Naturally born and adopted children are eligible to be named heir.
Foster: Children who are adopted are eligible to be named heir. Naturally born children are not eligible to be named heir unless there are no adopted children, at which point they become eligible for that generation.
Strict Foster: Only Children who are adopted are eligible for the title of heir. Naturally born children may never be heir.
The Gender Law and Bloodline Law serve as a sort of ‘qualifying’ round. If either law names a child as ineligible, then they cannot gain the title of heir. However, just because a child is eligible to be named heir according to Gender and Bloodline laws, doesn’t mean they WILL be the heir. The third category actually picks the heir.
Heir Law
The third Category is the Heir Selection Law. You must choose from the following options:
First Born: The oldest, by order of joining the family, eligible living child is named heir.
Last Born: The youngest, by order of joining the family, eligible living child is named heir.
Living Will: The eligible child with the highest friendly relationship score with their previous-generation’s parent will be named heir.
Merit: The child with the most fully completed aspirations will be named heir. If there is a tie, the child with the highest level in a single skill will become heir from among the children who are tied.
Strength: The first born eligible child becomes heir by default… but the tile can be forcefully taken from them if an eligible sibling beats them in a fight. That sibling may have their title taken (or taken back) if they lose a fight to another eligible sibling.
Random: The title of heir is randomly selected from the pool of all eligible children. Every time the eligible pool changes size, the heir must be re-rolled using the new pool.
Exemplar: At the beginning of the challenge, name a single trait. This trait must be one of your founder’s three traits. Any eligible heir that has this trait will gain the title of heir. If a single generation has no children with this trait follow the First Born rule. If more than one child has the Exemplar trait then the oldest child WITH the trait will be the heir.
Democracy: This rule may be used if you are displaying your Legacy Challenge in some public way. Either via Let’s Play, Livestream, blog or other format where people can leave comment. The heir is chosen by your viewers/readers from among the pool of eligible heirs.
Magical Bloodline: Choose the heir by whoever has the strongest magical bloodline trait. If there is no magical bloodline trait (ie in the earlier generations) then the law defaults to first born until magic is introduced to the family. If multiple potential heirs have the same level of magical trait, choose the oldest one.
Magical Strength: Similar to the Strength law above, this one requires two or more potential heirs to have a magical duel. Whoever wins the duel, is the new heir.
Children
Regardless of your succession law, you may always introduce children into your family via pregnancy or adoption. Bloodline law will determine which are eligible to be heirs. (With the addition of The Sims 4 Get to Work alien babies can also be brought into the family via abduction.) Children may only be adopted as infants. You may not adopt if there are any infants (natural born or adopted) living in the house at the time and must wait for them to grow to toddlers before adopting a new one. You may rename the baby, and it is recommended (but not required) that you change their last name to the Legacy Family’s name.
Regardless of their status, when an infant ages up into a toddler, you must roll for their toddler trait (and later their aspiration and their first trait using the calculator found here when they become a child.) Be sure to put the traits of the two parents (even for adopted children) in the calculator because the algorithm it uses factors those in when generating random traits for the children. When the child grows into a teenager, you consult the calculator again for their adult aspiration and their second trait. Finally the calculator will be used to generate the third trait upon reaching young adulthood.
There is an option here to generate both aspirations and all three traits for a sim at once, though the proper method is to wait until the Sim ages up. And remember- No re-rolling! One of the hallmarks of this challenge is getting randomly generated children so you should keep the good with the bad. Since the traits of the parents have an influence on the traits of their children, you can try to engineer children by selecting spouses with desirable traits, but this is no guarantee.
You are allowed to use fruit and/or music to influence the gender of an unborn child, should you choose to do so.
Gameplay Rules
No cheats/hacks/mods that give you an advantage in the challenge over someone that does not use them (ie. no “motherlode” or “kaching” to get more money.)
No restarting the game after bad events. You must let them play out.
You may not move or merge in other Sims into the Legacy Family with the exception of partners/spouses. 
The Legacy Family must remain on the same lot for the duration of the challenge (this does not include vacations.) They are free (and encouraged) to develop their house but they may not move into a new house. Rooms may be imported into the house from the exchange as long as the family pays full price for the construction and items contained within.
A Sim may utilize an anti-aging item ONCE in their lifetime.
You may not change a Sim’s current aspiration. The exception is when they fully complete an aspiration. When that happens, you may choose their new aspiration, as long as it is not one they’ve already completed.
You may not bring a Sim back from the dead once the reaper has taken them. You MAY plead with the reaper in order to save a recently dead Sim.
You may not move/marry out the sim who currently holds the title of “Heir.” All of the other children in that generation (known as ‘spares’) may move or marry out. Once a sim moves out, they are ineligible to be heir, even if conditions change that might make them the rightful heir.
When playing a Legacy Challenge, your legacy family is the ONLY family you may play in that saved game. You MAY move in new families into the neighbourhood during your challenge (keeping in mind that they can be used for friends, but not spouses) but you may not play them.
You must use the Random Trait Generator to get traits and aspirations for all children born/adopted into the family.

Fall, Year 7: The Carpenters
While playing other households Gabriel and Coraline both rolled wants to get married to each other and only each other!  (I think Elizabeth’s marriage narrowed down Gabriel’s options.)  Since Gabriel’s a vampire, I have bide my time and wait until dark when it’s safe for him to come over.  I also played up the Farmer’s lot so the aging would be even, which in hindsight I realize was completely unnecessary since vampires don’t age.
In the meantime, I try to introduce Andrea to some eligible young men that she might like, such as Daniel.

I have her scope the room to try to push her to take action and who does she think is hot and wants to date?  Former butler Ralph.  Well . . . okay.  Ralph really wants to marry Cora Burgos, but I don’t Cora will ever agree to settle down.

Before Coraline can invite Gabriel over, she gets invited on a date with Count not-Ray.  I forget his name.  Maybe it’s Shea?  I gave him a makeover so I could tell them apart and mixed up his personality and aspiration, so some of my sims won’t just get vampires as their potential matches from the crystal ball.
I let her have one last fling (hopefully.) For some reason she thinks playing the piano publicly is a good idea in spite of the fact that she’s never played in her life.  The Count agrees that it was not a good idea.

When Gabriel arrives, Andrea is still on her date with Ralph.  (It’s a working date.)  Gabriel is heartbroken, even though he really wants to marry her twin sister.

Maybe it’s best that they get this out of the way now and fall out of love with each other before there is more drama down the road.  I just hope they aren’t so furious with each other that they have the opposite problem.

After many attempts of me trying to figure out why the proposal option doesn’t work (I never fixed it, I just found a way to work around it.) and my sims trying to get their timing right, Coraline finally gets a chance to propose to Gabriel.

And since they wanted marriage, not an engagement, I see no point in waiting and have them get married.

They both have the same reaction their nuptials, and it isn’t good.  Hey, you two both wanted this.  It wasn’t just me forcing you together.

At least Coraline’s father is happy about it.  He congratulates Coraline on the engagement.

Andrea has moved on, this time with Daniel.  I took a look at his relationship panel and was reminded that last round I assumed he and Roy Shankel would pair up.  Maybe things will go in a different direction than I anticipated.

and they grab some dinner.  (A little bit.  The date ended and their table was cleared before they really had a chance to eat.)  It was a nice time, but neither seems interested in a commitment yet.

LemonJellyy’s Off The Grid Challenge
Introduction:
There are so many different rules on how to play the Off The Grid Challenge that I decided to create my own set of rules to play with. This specific variation is designed to be played for one generation only and is a “short” challenge. I played with two brother Sims to start, but it could be played with one if you prefer more of a challenge.
The story is: Your sim(s) were on an ocean liner when the ship suddenly veers from it’s path and heads straight for a waterfall. Your sim(s) jumped off the boat and started swimming away from the waterfall and towards safety. After lots of swimming and sleeping on random tree stumps, your sim(s) finally washes up on the Island of Sulani. Their wallet and all other belongings were lost at sea. 
Objective:
The objective for this challenge is to get a balance of 100,000 simoleons without having a job, selling paintings, or writing stories. You must also own a four-walled house, complete the aspiration “Beach Life”, master the fishing skill, and master the gardening skill to ‘win’.
Getting Started:
Create a sim (or play a sim) with the aspiration “Beach Life”. 
Move into one of two lots: 
Tangled Flat (20x20) - If you choose this lot, you must bulldoze it before moving in. You must set the traits to be “Off-The-Grid” and “Oceanic Paradise”, with the third being your own choice.
Key Point (40x30) - If you choose this lot, you may not change the current lot traits, but you can select any lot trait for the third.  
When moved in, ensure there is a mailbox.
Reset household funds to 0 with the “money 0” cheat. Begin playing.
Hard Mode: Add a pet you must take care of. 
Rules:
These rules apply to everyone, unless you do not have the pack that the rule belongs to. Remember that no cheats are allowed in this challenge. 
General
Your sim may not leave Sulani and venture into other worlds until they live in a four-walled home. 
Your sim may not begin building their own four-walled home until they have at least 10k simoleons in their pocket.
You cannot attend festivals until you live in a four-walled home.
You may participate in holidays and even create your own holiday as long as none of the traditions violate challenge rules. Feel free to edit any existing holiday.
If you are forced into leaving Sulani (ie. need to see a vet), you may do so without paying for a ferry but you may not collect any collectibles while there.
No quick meals - you must catch or find your own food and cook them on the bonfire or campfire. 
Hard Mode: Use the Child of the Ocean trait and then you cannot eat fish.
House Set Up
You may begin to build your home only after you’ve reached a balance of 10k simoleons. 
If you have tiny living, your sim must live in a micro home until they have a balance of 50k simoleons.
If you do not have tiny living, your sim must live in a house with no more than 80 tiles, until they have a balance of 50k simoleons. (The house allowance is bigger because you are missing out on all the benefits a micro home gives.)
You may expand on your home to any size you desire only after you’ve reached a balance of 50k simoleons.
A home includes, but is not limited to: a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen area.
Your sim does not want to sleep in a tent forever, so once you start building your home, you must ensure every sim in the household can sleep inside it.
You are allowed to buy whatever you want when you want, but you cannot build a walled house until you have 10k in your pocket at the same time.
Aging Rules
You can play aging on whatever setting you prefer.
The faster the lifespan, the harder the challenge.
If you have children, you cannot age them ahead of their birthday.
If you are playing with aging off, you may not age toddlers/children/teens until they have mastered at least one skill. 
Babies can be aged up once the “New Baby” moodlet disappears from their parent’s moods. 
Money
You may not have a traditional job/career.
You may only earn money by doing odd jobs, beachcombing, playing for tips, fishing, gardening, woodworking (no more than three a day), and selling other collectibles (and only with the yard sale table if you have City Living).
No selling selfie photos for extra money!
Hard Mode: Only one odd job per day.
Extra Hard Mode: No odd jobs until you buy a boat for travel.
Hard Mode: Must use planters and find seeds to garden, can’t buy them.
Hard Mode: Only one woodwork per day. 
Relationships
You may begin dating once your sim reaches a balance of 20k simoleons.
Your partner may not move in with you until you reach 50k simoleons. Any money they bring must be immediately deleted with the “money” cheat. 
Your partner must follow all the same money-making rules as you. 
You may not marry or have kids until the challenge is complete.
Hard Mode: Have kids right away. When you have a baby, you cannot leave the lot at all. When the baby is a toddler, they must come with you everywhere. Childs and teens can go to school and stay home alone. 
Items
You may not use the hand-tool to move tash, plates, books, toys, or laundry. A Sim has to do it. 
You may use the hand-tool if the game messes up and places a plate on top of a cupboard and your Sim cannot get it. Why does the game do this?? I don’t know, but it is frustrating. 
You may not replace items when they break down, you must have a Sim repair it. You cannot hire a repair service.
You cannot purchase an Outrigger Canoe until you have gotten the fishing skill to level 6.
 You may never purchase a Patchy the Straw Man. 
Services
You may not hire gardeners or nannies at any point in the challenge. 
You may not hire repair services at any point in the challenge.
You can hire caterers, mixologists and entertainers only for parties.
Butlers are also off limits.
You may adopt a child or an animal if wanted.
Rewards
All in-game rewards from completing aspirations and social events may be used, except for Money Tree.
You must turn Celebrity Off for your household.

Accidental yet Disturbingly Accurate Things That Have Happened to My Sim Version of Child Tony Stark
So when I play the Sims, I tend to do a sort of role-play lite thing where I set up Sim versions of characters with the traits, personalities, and careers of their canon selves as well as I can inside the game, set them up in household groupings that make sense, and then when I play I may nudge them a bit to keep them from getting too terribly OOC but I usually leave Free Will pretty high because I like to see what they’ll do.
I have a mostly-Marvel save on my XBox, and on console achievements are disabled if you use cheats, so this is a no-cheat save. This means that to properly create Tony Stark, I had to create the Stark household a generation earlier than the rest of the Avengers. So Rhodey and Pepper are young adults in other households, ready to be sent to college, but Tony was created as the toddler son of Howard and Maria. The other member of the household is Jarvis, who is a proper Sim instead of the hirable butler so that I could have an appropriate level of control over him.
I set up Howard as a Scientist, and (in a slight deviation from canon as there is no “socialite” career in the Sims) made Maria an actress, while Jarvis dabbles some in work from home careers like Writing, Gardening, and Flower Arranging. I also set Jarvis as one of Tony’s Primary Caregivers. I then played the game more or less as normal, focusing Howard and Maria on building skills and careers (because Tony needs a lot of wealth to inherit!)
Tony is now a Child (elementary school) and the following is true:
When he needs a parent (to ask advice, get hugs, show something he made, or run to when he wakes up scared in the middle of the night) his first choice is almost always Jarvis, followed by Maria.
He has experienced a known bug that can make Sims get stuck in a childhood phase. Therefore, he always wants to wear a costume of a yellow bear with a pineapple on its tummy and gets a Sad moodlet if he isn’t wearing it. Due to the bug, none of the parental figures can talk to him about the phase. He turned up to Steve and Peggy’s wedding wearing the bear costume. (Apparently the only way to fix this without cheats is to just wait for him to age up to Teenager.)
Literally the only friend he has his own age is Katie Coulson. The other people on his Relationship panel are some of his mom’s co-stars who have been to the house for networking events, his parents and Jarvis, Father Winter, and Rhodey, Maria Hill, and Peggy Carter, who he met in the neighborhood and I’ve encouraged him to talk to for meta gaming reasons.
When I was playing the Coulson household he called Katie in the middle of the school day to try to get her to cut class with him to go to a club.
He is a straight-A student and has maxed out all the childhood skills and started working on some of the adult skills: Logic, Charisma, Piano, Video Gaming, and Violin. He completed the childhood Aspirations “Artistic Prodigy,” “Whiz Kid,” and “Rambunctious Scamp” without issue, leaving him with only “Social Butterfly” left.
He hasn’t been able to finish “Social Butterfly” because one of the last steps is “become friends with 3 other children” and he has literally only one child friend. He only knows Katie and only ever asks to invite Katie over. I keep hoping Katie will bring her little sister Skye with her but she hasn’t so far. 
He’s finished all the Scout Badges except the one related to doing outdoor stuff.

Sage of Mastery Magic + Mastery Spells + Ghost Butler
3rd mod, but a big mod.
The Sage of Mastery Magic Mod adds a new Sage into the Magic Realm. This Sage specialise in all Schools of Magic.
Just felt like adding a new sage to spice things up. This sage can teach all spells, ultimate spells and all potion spells. Even a played sim can be the Sage.
Note: The game will choose a random townie or spawn a NPC to be the Sage. S4S is having issues trying to convert my sim into a Sage. 
Create Magic Sage Situations
This section is created to help force the game to give Situation Jobs for magic sages. Apparently the game hates Sims that are created with an Occult for no reason and only likes sims that had no Occult, odd.
You can use this to force the game to give the Magic Sage Situation Jobs at other places.
There is a hidden feature for regular Sages to be of their respective sage jobs which requires the XML Injector, provided if you play with sages, though you need something like Zero’s Play as the Sage mod to access the option for the 3 sages, or you can mod the trait and role to be non NPC.
The Mastery Spells mod and all of it’s addons
Adds 16 spells into the game. 9 of the spells are from my SpellCurses Mod converted for this mod. (I’m getting bad at naming spells)

Extra notes: For some reason, How I implemented the learning stuff allows regular sages to teach spells to Mastery Sages.
How to Learn Mastery Spells
You will need to be a High Ranked Spellcaster with one mote, have 5+ Logic Skill and have Good Relations (70+) with the Mastery Sage. Once you meet the requirements, the sage will then request you to get 15 death flowers. After submitting the death flowers, you can now learn Mastery Spells.
To learn a Mastery Spell, you can speak to a Mastery Sage to learn the spell. If you don’t like talking to Sages, you can buy a tome at the Wands Shop to learn them. Or if you like some fun challenge, you can battle it out with other spellcasters with Magic Duels.
This feature is only unlocked once you have done the fetch quest.

You will need to learn both spells in order to cast the spell.
Note: EA’s commodity motive for eco footprint shows Green to be negative and Industrial to be positive, All interactions are made as Green as positive and industrial to be negative clarity’s sake.
When one of the spell is cast, based on your option (e.g. Greenify +100), the commodity will move to its proposed value (Green 100) regardless of its original value.
Since the eco footprint commodity is too slow, there will be a separate debug mod for you to tune it.
Ghosticus Servantus [VG]
I’ve always liked Ghost Butlers, so here’s my take. Basically a butler but a ghost.
You need to know the Minionize and Necrocall spells before casting it.
Vampires can also summon a ghost butler, but they need the perks: Manipulate Life Spirit and Command.
Non Spellcasters and Vampires can hire a Ghost Butler from the phone through Household. Vampires and Soellcasters can only summon a ghost butler by a tombstone or urn.
This features requires the XML Injector.
I’ve also overridden the butler trait to make it non NPC useable alongside the ghost butler trait. However in order to give the Sim the butler career, NPCC may be needed to assign the Sim the job.
Note: My method of having a ghost butler is to use regular butlers and an action tuning will turn them into ghosts. These ghost butlers can become a butler whilst still having the ghost butler trait due to the ghost implementation in the game. 
Soulus Wraith [RoM]
The night wraith is a special ghost, so I made it that spellcasters can be them and can scare sims around them. Plus the ghost effect is cool.
The real Night Wraith is always sad while the Night Wraith I implemented has a Fine +50 moodlet to not make it too depressing for that Sim.
Just like the real Night Wraith, the screaming is available, and will scare sims and they will get the tense moodlet. Usual stuff.
The Killing Curse - Or you know what its name [RoM]
Literally a HP spell. Sims who are killed by this spell can be revived by a Restoration Spell.
I did not want tap in to Dedeathify for the sole reason that I have to update the spell often when new deaths come in.
Dark Apparation - [RoM]
With this spell, you can teleport like a dark lord or the grim reaper.

Sims 4 Monarchy Legacy Challenge
Hello, simblr! I have finally fine tuned my Monarch Legacy Challenge rules until I feel comfortable releasing them!
I know I am not the first, nor will I be the last, to develop a kind of monarch challenge. I have never seen a challenge similar to mine, however, so hopefully this offers some new and unique fun!

Rules beneath the cut. 
General goal: to keep the same family in power for 10 generations!
Rules:
* Only biological children may inherit as heir. Legitimate children take preference over bastard children. 
* Choose the heir however you like. Oldest? Oldest son? Oldest daughter? Best/brightest? That’s up to you!
* Monarch can adopt, but adopted child cannot inherit. 
* (Optional) At least one child each generation must be fostered out to another noble family from childhood to teen. You cannot control the child during this time.
* Money cheats are allowed at set up! For a tougher play through, don’t use money cheats after set up.  
* Lifespan set to normal.
* I recommend using a mod that will allow sims to reproduce independent of your control such as wicked whims. If not, you will have to pop into noble families and try for baby every so often to ensure that these families also continue to reproduce. 
Set up:
* Create a royal sim. They should begin unmarried and childless. It does not matter if they are male or female. Choose any traits or aspirations. All children born from this point on should have randomized traits. 
* Create several noble families. I recommend one noble family for each neighborhood to keep blood as diverse as possible and to create competition. Nobles should begin childless.
* Make a castle - use as many money cheats as you like!
* Hire a butler. No monarch does his own dishes.
Gameplay: 
* Monarchs cannot hold jobs. Collect taxes once a week. 10k simoleons per noble family once an in game week. 
* Must try for baby every time any woohoo takes place. 
* Death was a real danger to childbearing women and young children. Every time one of these situations arises, roll the dice to see if the sim survives.  - When giving birth, the mother has a 20% chance to die for her first child and an additional 5% for every additional child she has given birth to. (Ex: 20% chance for first child, 30% chance for her third child, 45% for her sixth child, etc).  - A baby has a 20% chance to die at birth. - When aging into toddler, 20% chance of death. - When aging into child, 10% chance of death. - When aging into teen, 10% chance of death. 
* An heir can be chosen at any time before they are a young adult. The heir must remain in the monarch’s household once they are a teen. If the heir dies, another heir can be chosen. 
* All non-heir children must be married off within 5 days of becoming a young adult. Child must marry into another noble household or they can no longer be considered a part of the royal family. 
* Daughters should move to the neighborhood of their new husbands. They can then be moved into their own household in that neighborhood (granted their own “lands” to rule).  - Daughters should receive a dowry of 20k simoleons from their own parents when they marry. 
* Sons should remain in their own neighborhoods and be moved into their own household (granted their own “lands” to rule).  - Sons should receive a dowry of 20k simoleons from his wife’s parents when they marry. 
** If no new households remain available to move the new couple into, they must continue to live with their parents. 
* Monarch can take as many lovers as they like. If their spouse takes a lover and the monarch catches on, the spouse must be exiled or executed. 
* Monarchs can take a same-gender spouse, but this does not remove the requirement that their heir be biologically related.
Generation change:
* Monarch remains in power until they either die or abdicate in favor of their heir. The heir must be at least a young adult before the monarch can abdicate, but they can inherit earlier if the monarch dies. 
* If no legitimate child is available to inherit, a bastard child can try to take power. This causes a civil war.  - Bastard child has a 70% chance of successfully taking power. If they fail, another noble family inherits and the challenge restarts.

The Sims 4 | Royal Legacy Challenge
Hi! I know there are some challenges like this around, but I really wanted to create my own version and decided to share with everyone! This challenge is heavily inspired by llazyneph’s Royalty Mod – the mod isn’t required to play the challenge, but both fits really well together.
In this challenge, your objective is to play with a Royal Family for ten generations and build up your lineage’s prestige with actions and decisions you will make during the course of this challenge. Good luck!
 Concepts
 Monarch: the leader of the Royal Family. This title is inherited by his offspring when he/she dies. Monarchs may only work in the Politics career.
Heir: the child of the Monarch who will inherit the title of Monarch. The heir is decided by the Kingdom Laws. Heirs may work in other careers until they become Monarch.
Consort: the person who will pair with the Monarch and bring in the next generation of the family. Consorts may work.
Royal Family: the family of the Monarch. They are considered nobles, but not every noble is royal.
Noble: Sims from families/households selected by the player. Must represent the minor part of the world’s population. Nobles may work only in the following careers: Politics, Secret Agent, Astronaut, Business, Military, Doctor, Social Media and Style Influencer. Teen jobs are not allowed.
Commoner: Sims that are not part of the selected households. Must represent the major part of the world’s population.
Prestige: the points in this challenge that represent the reputation of the Royal Family.
Setting Up
Your first step is to create your Royal Family. You Monarch must be a YA, Adult or Elder (if male) or YA or Adult (if female). You may create other Sims to be Consort, parents or siblings of your Monarch, but he/she must not have an offspring yet. To start, you’ll have $ 500.000 (use cheats for this) to build or buy your house. Choose wisely because you must not move during the challenge.
Second, you must choose, download or create other noble families for your save. Since you set this families as nobles, every other Sims in your save are now considered commoners. I suggest at least three or four families for your kingdom. Also, I suggest you to mark the noble families as Your Households, so you will always know who they are.
Finally, you may choose, download or create other Royal and noble families. They’ll represent the noblemen of other kingdoms. In my game, I created a Royal Family and three noble families for each world available. This is not mandatory, but will help you to have a fitting dating pool for your Sims.
 Basic Rules
You must not use cheats or mods that give you advantages on the challenge. I recommend using the Royalty Mod and MC Command Center.
Lifespan must be normal and aging must be on for active and inactive households.
You must only play with your Royal Family in this save. Again, I recommend MC Command Center to create some sort of story progression in your save. If you don’t use mods, you may access the other noble families really fast just to marry and procreate Sims (or you can do that using CAS in Edit Household on the map view).
Before start your game, pick your Kingdom Laws below and stick to it. There are conditions to change your Laws that will be explained below.
This challenge ends when the 10th generation’s heir ascend as Monarch. Your objective is to build up your lineage Prestige until this point. If your Monarch dies without any heir or if your Royal Family reach -10.000 Prestige Points, you fail the challenge.
Marriage & Inheritance
Marriage and inheritance are very important aspects of monarchies. You may marry your Sims as you wish as long as allowed by your Kingdom Laws, but keep in mind that marrying commoner will have a great impact in your Prestige. The Laws also will say if your Sim will move out of the family or if the partner will move in.
There are also Laws that will discuss the matter of inheritance. The Heir will be the first eligible child of your current Monarch. If your Monarch dies without any child, the throne goes to a younger sibling – this, however, will not count as a new generation. If there is no one to inherit the throne, you fail the challenge.
Children born outside of marriage are considered illegitimate and can only become legitimate if the Monarch marries the non-royal parent. Only legitimate children can be named heirs. You may legitimize a child if your Monarch and the child have 100% relationship, but it will cost you some Prestige.
Optional: It is expected that Royal children will have the best education. Toddlers must have at least one skill level 5 or 3 skills level 3, while children and teens must have at least B grade in school. If you fail this, you must randomize a new trait in the moment of the child birthday. You may only pick traits if your kids study hard enough.
The Kingdom Laws
You must pick an option for every category below – those will be your kingdom laws. You may change your laws if you meet some conditions. It will also cost some Prestige, of course.
Lineage
Matrilineal: girls come before boys in the line of succession. In addition, when a Sim marries, he/she will become part of the family of the wife.
Patrilineal: boys come before girls in the line of succession. In addition, when a Sim marries, he/she will become part of the family of the husband.
Equality: gender is not considered in the matter of succession. In addition, when a Sim marries, his/her partner will always move in to the Royal Family.
Marriage
Arranged: members of the Royal Family may only marry if the Monarch have at least 50% relationship with the fiancée and his/her parents (if they have).
Free: members of the Royal Family may marry as they wish.
Succession
Traditional: only Sims related by blood to the current Monarch are eligible to be heir. Royals may adopt, but adopted kids won’t be in the line of succession.
Modern: adopted kids will be in the line of succession after blood-related kids.
Inheritance
Birth: the first eligible child of the Monarch will be heir and become Monarch once his/her parent dies.
Merit: the most talented child will be the heir. This means that when a Monarch dies, you must sum every skill point his/her children currently have (example: 7 logic + 3 culinary + 2 piano = 12 points). The new Monarch will be the child who have more skill points.
Strength: when the Monarch dies, every eligible heir must fight for the throne. The one that defeats every other claimant will be the new Monarch.
Taxes
Low: the Royal Family can collect $2.500 in taxes in Sundays. However, it will cost -50 Prestige Points.
Medium: the Royal Family can collect $10.000 in taxes in Sundays. However, it will cost -100 Prestige Points.
High: the Royal Family can collect $50.000 in taxes in Sundays. However, it will cost -500 Prestige Points.
Rulership
Democratic: You may change the Kingdom Laws if you have 100% friendship with all the leaders of the noble families of your Kingdom. It will cost you 1.000 Prestige Points. In addition, Monarchs will be deposed if they have 10 negative relationships or half negative reputation.
Moderate: You may change the Kingdom Laws if you have at least 50% friendship with at least half of the leaders of the noble families of your Kingdom. It will cost you 1.000 Prestige Points. In addition, Monarchs will be deposed if they have 20 negative relationships or full negative reputation.
Authoritarian: You may change the Kingdom Laws whenever you want. It will cost you 3.000 Prestige Points. Monarchs can’t be deposed.
Prestige
The Royal Family will start the challenge with 500 Prestige Points. Some actions and decisions made during the challenge will add or remove Prestige Points from your family. Prestige Points will only be earned and lost by members of the active family. Remember: if at some point you reach -10.000 Prestige Points, you fail the challenge.

+2 for having a Maid

+5 for having a Butler
+5 for each fully-upgraded item in your house

Wrongly Committed Sim Asylum Challenge Rules:
This is inspired by idea of “what if someone who wasn’t crazy was sent to a mental ward and had to prove they were sane” popping into my weird ADHD brain. It’s also loosely based on the existing asylum challenge. (Link below) In this challenge however, your sim is falsely sent to the asylum when they are not Erratic and they must prove themselves to be sane and able to go back into society.
Disclaimer 1: I am not minimizing mental health here. The scenarios described are exaggerated for dramatic and fantasy effect. If you feel lonely or have mental health questions, my ask box open to all. I am not a doctor, so it is likely that I may refer you to other resources, but I will always listen.
Disclaimer 2: I have been playing Sims 4 for 4 years but live on a very tight budget and as such, I do not have every single expansion/game pack/stuff pack available. As of the last time this post was updated (02/28/20) I have only the following:

Setup:
* Must have an Asylum lot (I have one in the gallery you can use) that features the following:
* Must have private dwelling lot trait if applicable. Other lot traits that are allowed are ones that increase skill building such as Homey, Natural Light, Great Acoustics, etc.
* The main building must have:
* 1 bedroom for each sim (minus the doctor) so 6-7 bedrooms with only a cheap single bed.
* 3-6 toilets in stalls (that’s at your discretion. Choose wisely.)
* 3-6 showers in stalls
* 3-6 bathroom sinks
* A full kitchen (stove, sink, fridge, counters and trash can) and dining area made from appliances on the low end of quality. If you have seasons and one of your patient sims is gifted a better item on Winterfest you can replace a cheaper item.
* Cannot have the money-making trash can in the main asylum building.
* A large dining table with chairs enough to seat all sims on the lot.
* 1 couch
* A chess table & chairs
* 1 musical instrument (a violin or a guitar)
* A book case
* Either a TV or a computer. (If you pick TV, then the doctor must have a computer for ordering medicine and upgrade parts.
* A painting easel.
* A workbench
* 1 piece of workout equipment.
* 2 garden plot boxes
* If you have the laundry day pack you can include laundry things but your sim must make sure that laundry is kept up on.
* The Dr. will live on the lot but has their own office/house separate from the main asylum building. You can design that however you wish. Your main sim must be able to be in the doctor’s office area but none of the patients can enter the main home of the doctor. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A WASHER & DRYER IN THIS BUILDING. I lost a doctor pretty early that way when I wasn’t paying attention and they didn’t clean the lint trap.
* Your main sim must be A Teen or Young Adult. Teen is recommended for Easy mode if you want more time and want to move them on to college.
* Lifespan must be set to long for easy mode or Normal for medium and hard modes.
* Must have Dr. Character (mine will be in the gallery) in the medical career. They must have an office where your main sim can have visits with the Dr. On days your Dr doesn’t work. You can cheat the Dr. Character up to level 7.
* You can only control the Dr. And your main sim. Send the Dr alone to work every day they work.
* Other 4-6 patient sims must be set up such that there is no possibility for baby-production. Any gender identity is fine but no babies!
* All but Dr and your main sim must have Erratic trait
* 1 sim must be evil, mean, and erratic. Two others must have 1 be mean and 1 be evil. All other trait combinations other than erratic are at your discretion. It’s recommended that at least 1 have the neat trait.
* Your sim must complete 1 Aspiration for easy mode, 2 for medium mode and 3 for hard mode. They must be from the following list:
* Painter Extraordinaire
* Musical Genius
* Freelance Botanist
* Writer Aspiration (only if you get a computer instead of a TV)
* Nerd Brain (get Rocket Scientist to level 6 then cheat the aspiration for the rocket stuff. Or buy the rocket, but fence it off only for your sim to get to and you can only build and upgrade, no launching.)
* Bodybuilder (Hard mode only, has to be the last one and jogging can only be done during daylight hours and only for aspiration purposes).
* You can use aspiration rewards EXCEPT the relationship ones (beguiling, great kisser), or career ones, re-traiting potion or the potion of youth.
* In addition to Aspirations, your sim must have the following skills at level 10 to prove they can be a decent member of society and can care for themselves:
* Logic
* Homestyle cooking
* Gardening
* Handiness
* They must have the following skills at least to level 5 for the same reasons:
* Charisma
* Fitness
* One creative skill such as a musical instrument or painting.
* Your main sim must have a positive relationship with the doctor and 2 other household Sims.
* If you haven’t completed all the tasks by the time your main sim becomes an adult, you fail the challenge.
* If your sim ends up in solitary more than 5 times, you lose the challenge.
* If your main sim dies then you fail the challenge.
* If the Dr sim dies you must replace them with another Dr. Sim.
* If one of the patients dies, you must replace them with another patient with the same traits.
* If you use cheats for needs or relationships, or for money to buy new items for the asylum you fail the challenge. But you are free to continue it as a let’s play anyway.
* The bills come out as part of the Doctor’s Salary since the doctor lives on the lot, so money shouldn’t be an issue.
* No maid/butler/pizza services at all.
* Mods/CC: the following mods are allowed, however cheating with them will make you lose the challenge.
* Slice of Life
* MC Command Center
* Faster Homework Mod is okay.
* Better Schools Mod is okay but you must set your sim to “Listen to Teacher” every school day.
* When it comes to CC obviously the style CC for CAS is fine. If you have custom traits, you can only use ones that don’t OP your sims (don’t use God/Goddess or Muse custom traits) a good rule of thumb is, if you have to question it, better skip it.
* Build CC is okay for the Doctor’s dwellling. The main building should be only Base-game/expansions/etc (EA stuff).
* Daily Rules:
* No visitors allowed.
* No sims other than the Dr are allowed to have a career.
* Fame must be turned off for all household members.
* Teen main sims are not allowed to socialize with classmates as they are taught in a special room away from the “normal” students.
* All sim bedrooms must be locked for its assigned Sim at all times. When Solitary is in effect it is locked for everyone.
* Any decorative items must have been made by a sim in the household.
* No emotional aura items are allowed, if a sim creates one, you are not allowed to turn on the aura for it.
* Any visits outside the asylum that aren’t for school must be to a park, library or museum. (No bars or lounges) and all sims including the doctor must go.
* If your sim is a teen they must get to and maintain an A in school. If they miss a day or drop a grade, they must spend the next non-school day in solitary.
* If any of the sims fight, both sims go into “solitary” (see solitary section for explanation) this also applies to the uncontrolled patient sims and this is the only time you’re allowed to control them.
* If the doctor sim enters the asylum at any point and becomes uncomfortable due to cleanliness/disrepair issues, your main sim has 12 sim hours to get it back to tidiness or they go to solitary.
* Solitary:
* Each sim patient must claim a bed. That is their room and if they are in solitary, they must stay locked in that room for 12 sim hours, only being let out temporarily for bathroom breaks. They are served food in their rooms. No books or fun items are allowed in solitary. (Clean out inventories of books and instruments)
* Once all your aspirations, skills, and friendships are complete, your sim must have a meeting with the doctor in their office. During the visit with the doctor, you can only control your main sim. The visit must have 3 socializations and cannot be less than 1 sim hour. Both sims must be in a positive mood at the end. If you succeed at that then you can be released from the asylum and you win the challenge!

Objective
You must raise a Sim from a baby to a young adult and max out all five character values without ever taking control of the child. It is solely the responsibility of the parents to guide the child’s character values. The parents will need to raise the Parenting skill in order to influence their child to perform character-building actions and scold/punish them appropriately for doing things that lower character values.
Getting Started
Create two young adult Sims in CAS. The gender customization and occult type of these Sims do not matter. These Sims can have any appearance, walk style, voice, traits, and aspirations you want. You may choose to make these Sims married in CAS or not, it’s entirely up to you. You may use CC on your Sims. You may use Sims from the Gallery as long as they are both young adults.
You may use the in-game personality quiz to determine your Sims’ careers, traits, skills, and starting funds if you like. You may also opt out of this option if you prefer.
If Cats & Dogs is installed, you can add pets to the household, but you may want to limit it to one or two. Your Sims should be primarily focused on their child during the challenge.
Move your household into any lot in any world that they can afford. These can be premade Maxis homes, a house you built yourself, or a house downloaded from the Gallery as long as your Sims can afford it with their starting funds.
Once your household is moved in and set up the way you like, you must add a baby to the household either through pregnancy or adoption. The gender of the baby does not matter. Babies cannot gain character values, but the time spent caring for the baby will help your parent Sims get a head start on their Parenting skill. If you opt to add a child to the home through pregnancy, reading Parenting books during the pregnancy will give your parent Sims additional time to build the Parenting skill.
Challenge Rules
Game Settings and Third Party Content
Lifespans must be set to Normal with aging turned on for your active household.
Mods that give you an unfair advantage over other players are not allowed. This is left up to your own judgment, but to give an example, a mod that adds snow or fall colours to your game is fine because it’s a cosmetic change that does not affect gameplay. A mod that gives all beds max energy gain or any other mod that makes it easier to manage your Sims’ emotions and motives is not allowed because these mods make the game easier for you. Mods that give you more money in any way, shape, or form are not allowed, either.
CC that does not affect gameplay is allowed.
Cheats and Game Restarts
NO CHEATING! Unless otherwise stated in this section, all cheats are strictly prohibited. No money cheats. No motive cheats. No emotion cheats. No character value cheats. No cheats that affect school or career performance in any way. No. Cheating. Period.
The bb.moveobjects on cheat may be used for creative building purposes.
The resetsim cheat may be used ONLY when your Sim is stuck or otherwise glitched in a manner which makes you unable to control them. You cannot use it whenever your Sim does something you don’t like.
No restarting the game to bypass unfortunate events. Your Sim died in a fire while cooking? Lost their job? Got eaten by a cowplant? Oh well, too bad. Roll with the punches and continue.
In the case of glitches or other technical issues that cause you to lose significant progress, you may use whatever cheats and mods necessary to get back to where you were before you lost your data.
Birthdays and Aging
Your Sims’ baby cannot be aged up until you get a notification saying that today is their birthday.
No Sims in your household can be aged up until it is their birthday.
Pets cannot be fed age up or age down treats. They must be allowed to age naturally just like your Sims.
You cannot resurrect dead Sims or pets. You cannot invite ghosts into the household. Once a Sim or a pet is gone, they’re gone.
You must randomise the traits and aspirations of the child as they grow up. I recommend Pinstar’s Random Trait Generatorbecause the child has a chance of inheriting the traits of their parents, but createarandomsim.com is fine to use as well.
Live Mode
Your parent Sims can make money however you choose in order to provide for their child. They can stay at home and make money from one of the skills or they can get a job from the phone. You may delegate child raising duties as you wish. One Sim can stay home to care for the child while the other Sim works or they can both work or both stay home. The parenting dynamic is up to you.
You may NEVER control the child. The child must rely solely on their parents to nurture their character values and needs. You may click on the child to look at their information but you can never assign any tasks to the child or cancel any of their actions. If you want the child to do something, you must influence them to do it through a parent.
Your Sims are free to do whatever you want with their lives as long as you are not controlling the child. Other than raising the child’s character values without controlling the child, the rest of the challenge is very open-ended.
Other Add-On Packs
You may use any features and objects that come with any other add-on packs you have installed. I expect this rule to remain the same for all future packs but if it changes, it will be clarified in this section.
Your child can do any activity from any add-on pack that affects character values as long as you are not directing them to do these activities. For example, they can take care of pets (Cats & Dogs) and do laundry (Laundry Day Stuff) to raise the Responsibility value, but only if it’s done autonomously or if they’ve been asked to do it by a parent.
NPCs
You may hire any NPCs your Sims may want or need, including the nanny and butler (from Vintage Glamour).
Completing the Challenge
The challenge ends as soon as the baby grows into a young adult.
If you played using the point system, refer to the points section to see how well your parent Sims did with raising their child. Every positive character value trait adds points while every negative character value trait deducts points. There are other ways to gain or lose points as well.
If you did not play using a point system, just raising a child from a baby to a young adult without any negative character value traits is technically a win, but you did well if the child has grown up with at least 3 positive character value traits.
You fail the challenge if your child dies before their young adult birthday or if they are taken away by social services.
You fail the challenge if you controlled the child even once during the challenge, even accidentally.
You fail the challenge if the child grows up with all five negative character value traits.
Point System
Playing for points is completely optional. Disregard the point system entirely if that makes the challenge more fun for you.
TOTAL: 100 points
+10 points for every positive character value trait gained at young adulthood +10 points for gaining the Top-Notch Toddler trait at childhood * +5 points for gaining the Happy Toddler trait at childhood * +1 point for each childhood aspiration completed +1 point for each childhood skill maxed out +10 points for finishing elementary school with an A grade +10 points for finishing high school with an A grade +5 points for each parent that maxes out the Parenting skill +1 point for each parent that is Good Friends or BFFs with their child at young adulthood
-10 points for every negative character value trait gained at young adulthood -10 points for a D or lower grade in elementary school -10 points for a D or lower grade in high school -1 point for each parent that gains a negative relationship title with their child at young adulthood -1 point for every tantrum/emotional outburst -1 point every time the child resists discipline or influence -5 points every time you get a warning about your child being taken away
* These points do not stack. You do not get 15 points if you got the Top-Notch Toddler trait. It’s one or the other.
Handicaps
Handicaps are disadvantages that make the challenge harder. You can play with all of these handicaps, only some of them, or none at all. Playing with a handicap gives you point boosts, however, so there is a reward for making things harder on yourself. Depending on how well you play the challenge with these handicaps, it’s possible to finish with more than 100 points.
Play with a single parent household (15 points) Play with more than one child that you do not control (*2 points per extra child) Play without either parent working in a traditional career (5 points) Play with pets (2 points per pet) Play without using satisfaction rewards (5 points)
* Any extra children only provide the 2-point handicap boost. They cannot earn points for the rest of the challenge but must remain uncontrollable, just like your main child.

Right! Back to Gunther. I got skills to level on him and I’m a bit tired of lingering around this house. So! We go to where there are chess tables out and about! Library or park! Or perhaps...the Von Haunt Estate? I mean, I would, but that has a knight’s club that Wolfgang is in! I don’t think he wants to associate with his brother. So off to the library with us!
By the by, Gunther is in a club still that values writing and such. And yet, I stick him at home when he writes and at the library alone. Across from the place his club meets up with. Alas. A lot has to do with having no relationships with Maike Haas or Hugo anymore so I don’t even think about them. Also Maike is currently not in any home sooooo, that’s fun.
I set Gunther to ponder those logical moves at the chess table and then headed up the stairs to research logic. All the while, continuing to be his very glum self.

I’m not initiating conversations in his gloomy mood, that’ll be up to him. Anyway, here’s Leila Illes, who gained logic purely for the sake of her career growth as an artist. And fellow Rising Star celebrity! No introductions pass and she wins the chess game. Alas! Time to mope around, nab some fries for a munch, and then head home to sleep. All the while, narrowly avoiding chatting with another vampire. SO MANY VAMPIRES AROUND HERE. I need more werewolves to balance it out.
So he arises from his sleep at 9PM. The time of ghosts. Gunther has become nocturnal over the course of this weekend. Alas. He has work in 14 hours. So I’ll send him to bed again at 10 hours til work and see how things shake out.

...and I seem to be running into an issue here. Normally, when you’re unable to cook a group meal, the game points out what ingredients you’re missing. But this time, it doesn’t seem to be popping up? -shrugs- We’ll see if this continues to be an issue. I like making leftovers to eat at other times so...this is disappointing.
And Gunther also reached level 10 Gourmet Cooking! Nicely done!
And thus do I send Gunther to slumber...which only lasted until 2AM. Dude’s well-rested I suppose. Perhaps I’ll take a nap before work happens. Or it could just be another bump in the night that disturbs him awake. Ah well. His whim is to skill up so he and Guidry can play a chess match together. And flirt a little. And smooch. Hehehehehe. But enough of these boys it’s time for-

Blakely Harp in the Harp household has died. Blakely got a little too angry and exploded.
Blakely...Blakely. I recognize that- OH! She was one of the butlers! Dang. RIP to her.
Maximiliano Villanueva in the Villanueva household has started a job as a New Hire in the Salaryperson career.
Brayden McCauley in the McCauley household has died. Brayden experienced more embarrassment than any Sim can handle.
Anyway, let’s get back to the smooching boys and-

...I suppose this is to be expected. You know, it’s nice that Gunther found love again. With quite the ghostly fellow! Who will likely smooch anyone but hey, it’s not as if woohoo with a ghost is dangerous! But how does it work? Is it more of a mental thing?
Anyway, another round of chess with Gunther and Guidry. And then, after smashing some hands, a quick nap before we head to work. Our bills also came in and we’re at 5,196. Yeesh. But double checking his career and how much money Gunther makes per hour and he can still afford it. Still really need to get water managed.
Anyway, our assignments are to paint a mural for 2 hours, not what I expect from a food critic but hey, and to write a book. And thankfully, we still got Fizzy Fizz Fuzz in the works for us to finish up. A mural though… I tend to like putting those within the local worlds of the person that lives there. But where would be ideal?
While I ponder this, we sell our latest book and check the NAPs again. 10 for Performing Arts and 9 for Foodies. Hmmmmmm. How much does Gunther want this? ...he wants it. I push for three more votes in the Foodies ballot. With two hours remaining, it’ll definitely win.
Still had the ingredients thing when making a Ceaser Salad for lunch. It wouldn’t bother me if I didn’t have ingredients, but I don’t know what ingredients I’m missing that annoys me. Hmm.
Anyway, still debating between Old Platz, the old historical neighborhood, and the Lykke Centre for where to put the mural. My first instinct is around the library, nighclub and cafe of Old Platz so I headed on over to the Narwhal Arms to scope out the venues for any inviting walls.

And what I found was a good spot to seemingly put a garage door at. Just right behind where the dj would be. Nice nice. Hmm. City? Or Cultural? Let’s go with City and see what we get. ...honestly graffti would be best but the job thing says mural!
And there we go with the Foodies Unite winning the vote. Nice nice! We also completed our job of painting for two hours, but we ain’t yet done with the mural! No we must finish this work! I demand it!

Hmm. It’s nice and all but I don’t know if it fits Windenburg’s vibe. Perhaps cultural next time? I was going to order a drink in celebration but then I remembered, drinks are NO GOOD! So instead we go home to a ghost-free home and get some rest. Well, until something spooks Gunther awake. As things do. I spot a spectre out so I go ahead and cook some food for them. But before the results of attempted spectre appeal,

Stanley Crouse in the Crouse household has started a job as a Sales Floor Clerk in the Retail Employee career.
Del Sol Valley: The McHenry household moved out.
Couldn’t take the ultra expensive lot.
Today is the last day with Gunther and since we report into work today, I don’t feel like it’ll be especially long so, extra-long post! We make some asparagus which we ate and also appeased a spectre with! Nice nice! And received a gift!

...so we’re going to drink someone’s essence. Interesting. With it, we gain a bunch of painting experience, as he gained memories from a previous life. Also we can sell the glass, which is nice. Back to snoozing though! Snooze until an hour until work! And then work hard! Work hard, make money!
Returning from work, Gunther’s whims are to read a book, and cloudgaze with the librarian he met awhile back. Well, he works until 8PM and also, it’s cloudless in Windenburg. Summertime and the weather is hot. I at least wanted to get to know the guy a little bit better and make some light chatter  before I head off to find a book. Romance novel, it looks like. Finishing off the book, I make for the Research Station to research more logic. Very close to a level and that’ll nearly be done with the aspiration then. We instead level Research and Debate up to 3 and also get the prompt to go “do you like doing this?” To which I’m basically like, hmmmm, maybe but ehhhh nah. Not a special like with him. Means to an end.
We’re also hungry. I would go to the nearby food stall but all it has is parfaits and hamburgers and hot dogs and this is Gunther! We want fancy feasts! And there are two restaurants that can fulfil that whim. An Italian one and a fish based one. Which does he feel like? I’m always down for noodles so off to Willow Creek. Mostly Gunther was right next to a vampire couple arguing all the while. And other patrons being very scared for some reason or other.

Oh dear. Food is aboslutely horrid. Be grateful Gunther’s not at work chefs! But someone is going to have a very bad day. Primally Gunther. You can send insults to the chef and so I do so. Because he DEMANDS better.
And so we send Gunther home, with a bad meal in his stomach. And so we end this run of the Munch household. Where shall we go next? We’ll find out after…
