Need a sims story to read?
Here’s a list of story-tellers you should check:
By @madeofcc
Thank you for tagging me! @sani-sims4 , @giraffesvoice-whalesear , @ladykendalsims @saya-ai-tun 💖
For this I wanted to make a proper list instead of just tagging a bunch of people because I think these story-tellers/writers deserve a shout-out for their amazing work 💙
None of this is in a chronological order, it’s just all the people I am familiar with and think write amazing stories~
@pixelsinmyveins Okay, anyone who doesn’t know her, have you been living under a rock?? You gotta read her brilliant otherworldly stories. Neptune and Revan stole my heart from the start, and Spelltacular with Bella and Vlad. I swear, the pixels in her veins are real 👌 Not to mention her insane building skills. She’s one hell of a queen and a magical bean. Sometimes I wonder how we got so blessed to be allowed to see your fabulous creations at all.
@toskasims I have such a big respect for writers who know how to create a cliffhanger after literally every panel, and then just leave you hanging with even more questions. Her sci-fi+grunge+retro style is anything I haven’t quite seen in the community, it’s crisp and striking to the eye. The way she develops her characters is so precise I’d almost say she’s too dedicated to get it all perfect to the dots. Love your work Jupi. On top of that, her 3D skills make her just a multi-talent.
@fleurlibelle She has a hand for writing, the amount of story you receive after every panel you read is so filled with details that it feels like you are literally reading a book, with a bonus: the amazingly captured screenshots. I fell in love with Star Whisperer the moment I accidentally stumbled upon her blog! Not to mention the insanely talented hitman Phoenix… If you want to follow along with his bonkers missions, you gotta follow this lady! Oh, and did I mention that Malia has a thing for building insanely good looking lots? Well, here you go.
@cosmosim The moment I got into Ethereal I was hooked. It’s so good it’s unreal. Her vivid imagination and story building is exceptionally well executed. Everything, from building sets, to developing the characters, to writing the story, she does it like a professional. And don’t get me started on her phenomenal editing skills. It is what makes her stories stand out even more. I yet have to catch up with her other stories too, but one thing is for sure, you’ll be in for a ride when you follow this wonder woman!
@rebel-daydream I may have said it a billion times already, but this woman’s writing skills are over the moon impressive. The Hybrid Chronicles is one of a hell intriguing supernatural story. The editing she put into her panels are glorious, it feels like you are watching a movie rather than looking at screenshots, it’s so captivating! Not to mention how she just manages to keep your attention in such a way that you need to know what happens after every page. Top notch writing here!
@pirumxsim The moment I found your blog, and not even due to your slider posts, was because of your mystical edits. I realized those were links to your OCs and personas in your story, without a second thought I headed to your navigation page and started reading. I was surprised how deep and intense your story telling is! So much even that I was sad to have arrived on the last written panel, but I keep coming back to enjoy your aesthetic and vibe and to hopefully see another page again. I love your blog!
@giraffesvoice-whalesear Okay I have to be honest here, but this woman, she has the most fantasy-inspiring unique story that I have ever come across in the sims community (and that says a lot from a sims 2 player that used to make fantasy machinimas). When you start to follow along with Elmer’s journey, you find yourself lost in another world, as if you literally jumped in one of those children fairy tale books that are perfectly well illustrated and written in a way that makes you feel like magic truly exists. On top of that, she is the mastermind behind building freaking floating fantasy quarters!
@poetic-falls I once followed their previous account where they write such a disney-ish fantasy-related story and I was instantly hooked (yeah you know how to put a spell on people ;)) Once anew you are blowing my mind with your Forbidden Witches story and I’m so in love with all your characters, they truly all are so individual! I could write summaries on how I love all of them but I gotta hold myself here to blurt out any spoilers xD Keep writing Al, your skills are growing with literally every story progress!
@aniraklova She captures stories through staging (stage-play, could I say?), so perhaps a different type of storytelling than most, but gosh I love it every time when she creates a stage with her main characters and writes a story bit around it. Karina has insanely stunning characters, you would question whether it is actually still sims because her game is mind-blowingly stunning. Secondly, her bachelor stories are probably one of the most dedicated ones I have seen, she puts so much effort into her preparations (from making poses to sets). Karina, you rock.
@sani-sims4 If following along with characters through a diary style is your thing, then you should absolutely follow this lovely lady. She writes about her wonderful characters in a diary/journal type of way, which takes you through the lives of her precious sims. I love reading these from time to time, it’s so wholesome. She also builds such cozy lots, definitely check her out if you don’t know her yet!
@arcanewonder Everything you build and create is just one bunch of magic and wonders. It doesn’t even look like the sims game any more. I feel like we’re being introduced to a well-produced fantasy story development everytime we get to see another post from you. Both the characters and sets are inspiring and evokes quite some interest. I love following along with your process even though I fall behind so often when it comes to reading stories. But you’re so utterly talented, I barely have the words to describe it.
@thedancingleaf While it’s taking me time to catch up with all your previous stories, every page I read more, I just have to say that your sims have such an alluring vibe. And I can’t help but swoon about how freaking fantastic all your builds look. They are so detailed and well designed. I can tell that you only build something when you are entirely sure that it is the way you want it to be. I truly hope to see more from Monochrome too, because both the characters you have created and the sets you are building for it are mesmerizing!
@ladykendalsims Alright, if by any chance this angelic creative wonder woman has escaped your sight, I’ll just be going to announce here that she has truly the most gorgeous looking sims, which make her edits also top notch. Though her stories is where you can truly capture the depth of her sim characters, the emotions that you feel after every scene, boy you’re in for a ride. So much is happening even in scenes where the characters are only chit chatting I just feel them come alive. You gotta be a story-magician, I swear.
@radioactivedotcom I first stumbled upon your blog by accident when you were doing your scifi story challenge and I was so blown away by the dedication and all the preparation that went into this collaborative story. Where people who signed up had to create a “participant” and we got to see with every story progress how participants could drop out due to certain decisions and events. The writing and set building skills this woman possesses is legendary. I felt like I was watching a netflix series (which says a lot coming from me because I have only ever watched 1 netflix series as I am extremely picky when it comes to watching something altogether lol).
@elfydrell Her fabulous fantasy stories are such a catch for the eye, her characters are charming and the story build up is truly enjoyable, you don’t feel like anything is missing out and you are just caught in reading one page after another. I love it! Elfy has her own unique way of creating her sets and characters too, which makes her page stand out quite a bit! But honestly, if you love elves and fantasy, what are you waiting for? Check her page!
@nemexia-of-the-nightfall Her aesthetic is out of the world magical. It’s captivating in such a way you literally feel like you have been taken by an angel of the night. Which is maybe a little pun because her upcoming story is called The Last Nightingale. The sets she has been building for it so far are magnificent, like it’s from another era. Not to mention the characters, captivating and mysterious. While it’s still in its build-up, I would so recommend to catch up with her posts because everything she does is just pure gold (just like her heart).
@girllovesromance Even though I have only caught up with her story recently, and I am not too read-up with all the character backgrounds yet, the moment I started reading the chapters on her blog from the beginning I was intrigued by the story and how well you formulate the topics through both conversation bubbles and narrator writing! It feels like a well established sims comic. The characters have all their unique personalities too, which makes it an entertaining journey to get to know them all little by little.
@rethdis-love // @rethdis-love-story While I’m not entirely able to follow Russian, I do have to mention that she has absolutely charming characters and such lovely sets. I enjoy looking at the posts you make about the progress of your story characters, and to learn a little more about them every time you post some facts or story-related content to them. It gives me a bit of a Dragon Age feel sometimes. Certainly give her blog a follow if you dig fantasy stories!
@wolfrynn313 (her main account) for the stories: @enrapturementseries @fadeseries I first found her through Enrapturement (or well main account, but then stuck around for her Enrapturement story), whereupon I continued to read Fade, which truly felt like such an unique story here in the simblr community. A different layout, and the writing is of quite high quality. The characters have all their own personality, which really sets them apart. I know many people tend to lean towards following “popular” story blogs, but I really love finding those that are not massively praised and well known. Because honestly, I can’t tell the difference between quality. Maybe style, but that’s to everyone their own. Do check her out!
@saya-ai-tun She has a captivating style, with stunning characters and wonderful sets. From creating poses, to textures, to nowadays even conversions (yes you’ve been learning so much lately, kudos to you!), when she does something she does it right. She’s in the build up of her story, and sometimes shares posts with her gorgeous OCs, so go check her out and support her!
@tashsim She wrote amazingly amusing bachelor panels, which made me fall in love with her way of story telling (it’s so unique with all the text edits and anime/manga effects added!) and her characters. It’s so cute and wholesome. But Tash is a wonderful person overall. And it shows through the way she portrays her sims in these story settings. She’s probably a golden coin in a haystack that you’ll barely be able to find, but I tell you, once you do, you’ll be glad!
Both @minataphy @simusagi - they have insane skills when it comes to sim edits, and while there is less storytelling, they certainly do have characters that portray a story through both their screenshots and edits, and getting to know these characters and facts about them feels like you are going through a picture-book story, not much text, but an immense amount of visual material. If you don’t know these magnificent lovely girls yet, I would without a doubt recommend checking out their blog. They both rock the stars from the heavens.
@vampireacademysims If you enjoyed either the movie or the novel series then you should definitely check her out! She rewrites the novel into a sims 2 comic style. In fullest truth, it is probably the most gorgeous sims 2 comic I’ve laid my eyes on. The editing and paneling is top-notch quality. The pages read smoothly, and the characters are on point. Do check her out!
@bunnytheunicorn Also writes comics, but then sims 4 style! I love her way of rping with maxis sims, but also adding her own OC in it, like Cadfael and Crisiant. Caleb and Morgyn are playing a role in there too ;) She has quite some humor and writes in such a lighthearted way. There is quite some magic involved as well, so for fantasy lovers, give her blog a read :)
Okay so, I don’t know that many storytellers, and if I haven’t added you, please don’t feel offended or left out, I just don’t know about you (yet) or have never been able to catch up with your story. I can’t give my opinion about blogs I’m not familiar with after all. But I do want to give my shout out to those I happen to have stumbled upon these past few years ♥
Due to my again packed schedule I’m a total slacker when it comes to catching up with any stories, but once I do manage catch up I have no regrets. Thank you all for sharing your incredible talent with us! 😊

Queen Lucretzia has delivered of a healthy baby boy. Prince Lucas of House Breckenridge, heir presumptive to the throne of Newcrest!
The king is immediately charmed by his son and spends much of his time in the nursery, marveling over the infant boy.

The baby could come at any time. Lucretzia spends her time practicing the piano while she waits. The court physician worries that the loud music might make the baby fussy, but the queen will not be dissuaded.

“I know you’re anxious, love, but I promise that all will be well.” Duncan assured Lucretzia. “Soon it will be you, me, and our child. I want you to be happy, not afraid.”

The pregnancy is not as easy on Lucretia as she could have hoped.
Meanwhile, Duncan is becoming very anxious to meet his first child. He spends some sleepless nights in the nursery.

Despite how busy his work keeps him, Duncan makes a point to take breakfast with Lucretzia. They often discuss literature and philosophy over the meal and he is always impressed at the breadth of her knowledge on any subject he broaches.

“No one talks about the Queen, Duncan’s mother.” Lucretzia thought to herself, studying a portrait of the late Queen Eleanor. “I know she died in the birthing bed with her second child, but little else. She was so beautiful.... and well loved by the people. If I should be half the woman she was...”
Perhaps her introspection is brought on by the news of her own pregnancy. Duncan is overjoyed at the news, but Lucretzia is anxious. She knows too well the dangers of childbirth.

The young king has always had a passion for art and music himself. As he looks down on the castle grounds, he considers what the subject of his next painting will be.
“Hm, I’m not sure if I like this. Perhaps I should start over.” Duncan muses. “Perhaps I will ask Lucretzia to sit for a portrait...” he thinks to himself.

Presenting King Duncan of House Breckenridge, first of his name, and Queen Lucretzia. King Duncan is newly coronated and newly married. Often underestimated by his political rivals, Duncan may seem to be a fool and an idiot. In reality, he is well read and quite clever and very much enjoys being underestimated.
Their marriage was arranged, of course, and Lucretzia expected to dislike Duncan the Fool, but he proved to be romantic and charming and won her over quite quickly.

Sims 4 Monarchy Legacy Challenge
Hello, simblr! I have finally fine tuned my Monarch Legacy Challenge rules until I feel comfortable releasing them!
I know I am not the first, nor will I be the last, to develop a kind of monarch challenge. I have never seen a challenge similar to mine, however, so hopefully this offers some new and unique fun!
Tag #monarchlegacy so I can check out your progress along the way!
Rules beneath the cut.
General goal: to keep the same family in power for 10 generations!
Rules:
* Only biological children may inherit as heir. Legitimate children take preference over bastard children.
* Choose the heir however you like. Oldest? Oldest son? Oldest daughter? Best/brightest? That’s up to you!
* Monarch can adopt, but adopted child cannot inherit.
* (Optional) At least one child each generation must be fostered out to another noble family from childhood to teen. You cannot control the child during this time.
* Money cheats are allowed at set up! For a tougher play through, don’t use money cheats after set up.
* Lifespan set to normal.
* I recommend using a mod that will allow sims to reproduce independent of your control such as wicked whims. If not, you will have to pop into noble families and try for baby every so often to ensure that these families also continue to reproduce.
Set up:
* Create a royal sim. They should begin unmarried and childless. It does not matter if they are male or female. Choose any traits or aspirations. All children born from this point on should have randomized traits.
* Create several noble families. I recommend one noble family for each neighborhood to keep blood as diverse as possible and to create competition. Nobles should begin childless.
* Make a castle - use as many money cheats as you like!
* Hire a butler. No monarch does his own dishes.
Gameplay:
* Monarchs cannot hold jobs. Collect taxes once a week. 10k simoleons per noble family once an in game week.
* Must try for baby every time any woohoo takes place.
* Death was a real danger to childbearing women and young children. Every time one of these situations arises, roll the dice to see if the sim survives. - When giving birth, the mother has a 20% chance to die for her first child and an additional 5% for every additional child she has given birth to. (Ex: 20% chance for first child, 30% chance for her third child, 45% for her sixth child, etc). - A baby has a 20% chance to die at birth. - When aging into toddler, 20% chance of death. - When aging into child, 10% chance of death. - When aging into teen, 10% chance of death.
* An heir can be chosen at any time before they are a young adult. The heir must remain in the monarch’s household once they are a teen. If the heir dies, another heir can be chosen.
* All non-heir children must be married off within 5 days of becoming a young adult. Child must marry into another noble household or they can no longer be considered a part of the royal family.
* Daughters should move to the neighborhood of their new husbands. They can then be moved into their own household in that neighborhood (granted their own “lands” to rule). - Daughters should receive a dowry of 20k simoleons from their own parents when they marry.
* Sons should remain in their own neighborhoods and be moved into their own household (granted their own “lands” to rule). - Sons should receive a dowry of 20k simoleons from his wife’s parents when they marry.
** If no new households remain available to move the new couple into, they must continue to live with their parents.
* Monarch can take as many lovers as they like. If their spouse takes a lover and the monarch catches on, the spouse must be exiled or executed.
* Monarchs can take a same-gender spouse, but this does not remove the requirement that their heir be biologically related.
Generation change:
* Monarch remains in power until they either die or abdicate in favor of their heir. The heir must be at least a young adult before the monarch can abdicate, but they can inherit earlier if the monarch dies.
* If no legitimate child is available to inherit, a bastard child can try to take power. This causes a civil war. - Bastard child has a 70% chance of successfully taking power. If they fail, another noble family inherits and the challenge restarts.

Five posters that require the Get Together game pack. This is a tiny gift for my 61 followers that have stuck with me for the last few months of my ever changing Simblr. Hope you all enjoy them, even if you’re not a fan of the manga/anime. I think the art is quite gorgeous to have for any sim that loves anime.

I think I’m going to give this challenge a go. Been itching to get back into the Sims anyway.
TOS
You must credit me and link back to this post if you repost this challenge anywhere or write another version based on mine. Thank you!
Story
Due to economic decline and poor government funding of social programs, the population of many Sim-inhabited towns and cities have all but disappeared. Everyone has moved away to find greener pastures elsewhere, leaving their old homes nothing but a ghost town. Out of desperation to boost the population and get these towns thriving again, the United Nations has hand-picked two Sims who are willing to participate in a re-population program, tasking them with bringing the population back up through natural procreation while living the best, most fulfilling lives they possibly can. The project’s name? Operation BFAM (Be Fruitful And Multiply). The subjects? Adam and Eve.
Objective
Start with two Sims, one that can become pregnant and one that can impregnate other Sims and use them to fill a completely empty world. The challenge ends when every household in the world is occupied by at least one direct descendant of your two original Sims.
