it’s still the tommy-apologist holiday here in the states, so let me say something controversial:
doomsday wasn’t a mutual betrayal between technoblade and tommy, technoblade’s feelings were hurt and he has the right to feel that way but he was the one that had been overstepping tommy’s boundaries from the beginning and got hurt when tommy tried to pull himself back.
tommy only agreed to an alliance on the condition that they’d be causing “minor” terrorism in l’manberg, that l’manberg Wouldn’t get destroyed and that tubbo wouldn’t be hurt, which tommy reinforced multiple times. technoblade intentionally let him believe in that lie when he had no intention of upholding those terms because he Specifically wanted to change tommy’s morals to the point that he’d eventually agree with it. techno may have done this because he genuinely thought that it’d be a good thing for tommy, but it wasn’t his right or his Place to decide that he could do that, especially as time went on and he realized how unstable tommy currently was ("Oh my god, you just have no freewill whatsoever." - technoblade to tommy during dream’s first surprise visit to techno’s house).
technoblade revealed that he’d been lying to tommy about this this entire time, which tommy would’ve had the right to get angry with him about. again, I cannot stress enough that this is technoblade revealing that he’d lied to tommy and had been using tommy to help him get ready to destroy his home, whether technoblade actually needed tommy’s help or not is irrelevant because this makes tommy complicit and changes the entire circumstances around their partnership. This was an actual act of betrayal, the betrayal of tommy’s trust.
it didn’t go that way however, because techno Did successfully manipulate tommy here (and it is manipulation, whether we want to think of it that way or not). techno presented l’manberg in a purely negative light (insisting that tubbo specifically was a bad person who’d never been tommy’s friend), he encouraged tommy’s more violent coping mechanisms, and then when he thought tommy was far enough along he revealed what he’d wanted to do while insisting that he Trusted tommy now and holding the idea of genuine friendship over his head. (”You could actually be useful. You could actually be, dare I say it, a friend.” “That’s all I ever wanted.”)
none of this means that techno didn’t genuinely like tommy or that he wasn’t genuinely trying to look out for him, but tommy was blatantly coerced into joining techno’s cause here when it’d been explicitly against his boundaries. tommy Never wanted to destroy l’manberg, he wanted a relationship that he felt safe and wanted in, he wanted to be happy. techno presented himself as someone who cared about tommy, and then he presented tommy helping him destroy l’manberg as the key to his friendship when he was literally the only person that tommy had (and had made sure to emphasize that). of course tommy agreed.
tommy had tried to convince himself that he was okay with techno’s plans, but as soon as he’d genuinely hurt tubbo that illusion was shattered. he realized then and there that on a moral And emotional level he could not stand to see tubbo hurt without seeing himself as a monster. tommy’s reaction here was inward when it so easily could’ve been outward, could’ve been outward anger at the man who railroaded him into this situation despite his wishes, and it just wasn’t.
at this moment tommy Still trusted techno, he was honest with techno immediately and was Clearly having a breakdown. techno’s reaction was immediately the offensive (asking tommy if he “really wants to do this” doesn’t count as giving tommy a fair chance, especially when techno has Seen and talked tommy down from his panic attacks before), tommy was immediately Dead to him while Tommy was still willing to make a compromise (tommy thought that techno would be receptive to a compromise because he’d been tricked into thinking he was getting one before, but he wasn’t and techno would never settle for that).
techno presented himself as someone that tommy could trust and rely on (and particularly as someone who’d be patient with him during his breakdowns, which the confrontation at the community house definitely was), that’s Why tommy was honest with him and Why he’d felt comfortable enough with him to say how he felt in plain words as best as he could (compare “I’m worse than everyone I never wanted to be” to “Wilbur wasn’t so poggers” and it’s immediately obvious what I mean). On Top Of techno (falsely) presenting tommy’s participation as a choice, he’d already made tommy participate by getting tommy to help with the preparations before telling tommy the truth about what they’d been preparing for, tommy had already been complicit before he could make an informed choice. it also goes without saying that techno immediately partnered with dream with no remorse. that’s strike two and three of betraying tommy’s trust.
tommy had been trying to reach techno all throughout doomsday, it wasn’t until it was over that tommy had been completely disillusioned with techno. his conclusion was that techno had Never been his friend because he could not imagine someone who cared about him ever reacting to that situation the way that techno did or hurting someone who He cared about in the way that techno did.
and even then, even despite all of that, tommy Still cares about him even if he Does genuinely still believe that technoblade never cared about him.
when you actually look at the situation it’s technoblade tricking a traumatized teen into helping him destroy something that techno knew was important to him while further straining tommy’s relationships with people that techno knew he still cared about (by intentionally withholding information) and then getting so explosively angry when tommy tried to pull back that he made him the main focus of doomsday despite the people who tried to literally murder him also being there.
tommy hurt techno by deciding that he couldn’t let him hurt his best friend or destroy his country without severely damaging his own mental health and self worth After he’d made it clear that this was a moral boundary for him.
that’s not mutual at all, there is literally nothing even about their actions towards each other or the power between their dynamic. they were Mutually upset, they were not Mutually betrayed.

Hey! I was binging your work and decided to make a request myself, I didn’t see one for this but if you have please don’t be afraid to decline
How would Techno, Jschlatt, Villain-Wilbur and Dream act when they are jealous of another member of the SMP???
🏵 Your Tea Is Ready 🏵
Warnings: Possesive Behavior , mentions of violence
Characters: Technoblade | Jschlatt | Dream | Villain wilbur
Tumblr media
technoblade
He know's he really has not right to be jealous, he's yet to ask you out afterall
The rational part of his brain tells him that he's enforcing the voices, but their just so loud
' Why is he touching them like that? '
' Were they hanging out alone together? '
' I bet their happier with him '
' Why are they holding their hand??? '
Most of the time he can simply oppress the voices, honestly just happy to be in your presence
Except for when it comes to Quackity
He fucking hates that guy
The way he serenades you in Spanish, the way he stands so close to you, the way he even conducts himself even pisses him off
The thought of confronting either him or you comes to mind, but there's no way for him to phrase it without coming off like some sort of incel
Next best option
Always somehow be with you
Whether it's you wearing jewellery or clothing of his or him physically being with you some part of him is always with you
Probably wouldn't harm Quackity, you are friends after all, that being said he can certainly threaten him with his eyes
Jschlatt
Y'know how Techno is trying not to come off as Jealous or an incel?
Not this guy let's go
Being the fucking president and with an ego sky high he believes he can do anything
Even if you aren't fucken dating
The balls
Despite his usual drunken state his pretty observant, certainly enough so to realize how fondly Fundy looks at you
The lingering touches, the way the furry seems so helpful whenever you need something, the constant compliments begin to grow on the ram
It doesn't take long until he snaps and threatens the fox to leave you alone, to which you're not very happy
"Maybe you can dictate your country but you can't dictate who I talk to!"
"He is clearly interested in you, he's being inappropriate in a work place-"
"And you are?"
The arguement gets pretty heated and eventually you leave, knowing there's no way to win
It isn't until that night when Jschlatt shows up completely plastered that you realize how much the arguement had hurt him
He's sobbing and begging you not to forget or leave him about how much he loves you and needs you
Begrudgingly you let him in and help him to sleep, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead as he drifts to sleep
Dream
Manipulative murderer? Not good
Jealous manipulative murderer? Honestly? You're fucked
Whether you're dating or not expect that person, who could be anyone you talk to who he doesn't find trustworthy, to either eave you behind or go missing
Whenever you're upset about your friends who have left you behind expect Dream to be their to comfort you
He'll never leave you, you know that right? You can trust him!
Eventually people learn better then to even approach you, and the lack of social interaction leaves you crawling back to dream every time
He LOVES it, doesn't even try to hide the goofy smile on his face as you knock on his door
Those who just cant get the message through their thick skulls either end up with one life less or with a pisses off dream on their door step
Both being a horrifying option
He makes sure you never hear of his, less then ethical, stress relief and keeps you as isolated as possible
If it means more time to be with you he's willing to do anything
He adores every moment you spend together, afterall the only thing the two of you have is each other :)
Villain! Wilbur
Ever hear the saying " you catch more bees with honey? " cause he hasn't
Assholes 3/4 Techno's the only one who has his shit together
Similar to schlatt he does nothing to try and hide his jealousy
He openly complains to both you and the rest of pogtopia how much he hates him
Who's him?
Goat boy of course!
Just like Tubbo you're a spy working in Manburg, only thing is Schlatt takes an interest in you
Because of this you didn't a great job getting Intel for pogtopia, but at the cost of Wilbur's sanity
Soon after Tubbo's death the man has no reservation nor fucks left to give
You're hesitant to keep working for schlatt, now knowing the consequences but at the same time somebody has to do it
Wilbur however doesn't see you staying in Manburg as self sacrifice, he sees you as picking Schlatt over him
The one part of his brain knows you'd never do such a thing, you're faithful to pogtopia
But while sneaking around his once beloved nation he catches Schlatt walking around with his arm securely around your waist
He is pissed, he finally snaps when Schlatts hands begin to wander-
He jumps out of the bushes in a matter of seconds, on top of the goat man in even less time
After that stunt you're fully outed as a spy and well and barely manage to escape execution thanks to Tommy and Techno
Needless to say you were less then happy with Wilbur's behavior
However he couldn't be happier, he got you back into Pogtopia and he got to punch schlatt! Job well done :)

Hello my beloved! ( Can I call you that? And people it's platonic!) I have an idea and this is for pogtopia wilbur and ghostbur! Can you do a reader who loves painting and one morning they find a picture of them with a note about the reader confessing to then but they didn't do it in person because they were really nervous? Thank you!
And please take as much time as you want also could it be a long story? Thank you!
- Your beloved Moosh 🥺
Moosh, darling! Hello! Yes, you have my full permission to call me that, thank you for asking! This is the third time I've written this story because Tumblr just really enjoys screwing me over...
Also. You never clarified whether you wanted fluff or angst, but it's Pogtopia Wilby so I kinda just went with angst? If you want a happy end to this, I'll rewrite this no problem! But it won't be as long because... Well, you'll see. Also also, I didn't exactly know where to throw the Ghosty Bur in, so... Yeaaaah? He's at the end tho!
THE FIRST PART IS LIKE NEW NEW POGTOPIA WILBUR
TW: (Sorry it didn't save the first time) C!Schlatt, bruising, threatened hanging, self doubt
Perfect Picture of Imperfection (Pogtopia!C!Wilbur x GN!Painter!Reader)
Maybe you painted Schlatt's horns the wrong colour? Or his jawline was off? He was furious when you finally showed him your art piece... It was the best you could do with the few hours you were given! Paint physically couldn’t dry as fast as Schlatt wanted it to you… He didn’t seem to care when he threw the wooden frame of the torn canvas at you, giving you a dark bruise right above your eye, or when he started yelling at you and threatening to burn your art studio down to the ground.
Or even when he grabbed you and suggested to Quackity to hang you at the gallows for insulting the emperor of Manberg.
The man you had once been friends with grinned widely and nodded happily, “Yes, sir! Yes, sir!” He said, without a single care that you were a living human being, only giving a cheer as he picked you up so your feet were dangling on the ground, leaving you silent in terror. Tubbo only averted his gaze.
“Aww… You’re like a little fawn, caught in the torchlight of a traveller.” The ram hybrid smiled in a sickly sweet manner, causing the colour to drain from your face, “Come now, darling, I’m not a monster… You’re the only one of Wilbur’s sweet little subjects that he hasn’t gotten back, and here I thought you were his favourite… Or maybe he left you here to act as a sacrifice so they could all be off doing their own thing... Guess he prefers Niki over you…” He whispered as he dropped you, chuckling softly as you scurried out of the building as you quite literally ran for your life.
You called Wilbur when you were safely hidden in your house, gasps and sobs leaving your mouth quicker than tears could pool out of your eyes…
“(Y/n)... You can’t be calling me when-”
“Wil…?” You whispered into the communicator, your voice shaking enough to shut him up immediately, “He… He’s going to…” Hiccuping meekly, you curled in tighter on yourself as you heard Schlatt’s loud and pompous voice come over the speaker system he had hung up all around the once beautiful country, “I think I’m going to die here…”
The dead silence that followed through the line was sickening…
“Is it true…?” You couldn’t help but find yourself wondering aloud, “Is that why I’m the only one left here? Am I a sacrifice so you can live happily elsewhere? ...Is that why you haven’t come to get me?”
“(Y/n), I want you to never utter those words again.” His voice was dark and steely as there was a bit of crashing around that came from the other side as well as faint mumbles which were clearly from Tommy judging by all the swearing, “You are not a sacrifice. Now... Get your Enderchest and Inventory packed up, I’m coming to get you tonight, and then I’ll explain in person…”
The line cut off and you slowly lowered the communicator down from beside your ear. Your heart was sinking one minute, but soaring the next… A terrible feeling really. You were saved! But… He could get caught trying to come to get you… You couldn’t let that happen for sure. With a heavy sigh, you rubbed your eyes free of tears before standing up and beginning to shove any necessary equipment into your Enderchest, including your finished painting of Wilbur that you were going to give to him when he won the election… And finally, confess your feelings…
When midnight hit and the lights of the city finally died down, you climbed up onto your roof and looked around for the president, fear and paranoia flooding through your veins as your mind went wild. What if he got caught? What if he was trying to give you false hope? What if. What if. What if. These sort of questions buzzed around in your mind for an hour as you waited for your saviour to arrive…
Finally, when enough became enough and you decided he wasn’t coming, you stopped pacing and slowly sat down on the roof as the tears began to start again. You could practically hear Schlatt chiding you in the back of your mind, telling you that you were a fool for holding out hope.
“(Y/n)!” A low hiss came from beside you and a hand touched your shoulder. You certainly would’ve screamed bloody murder if another hand hadn’t quickly wrapped around your mouth, “Sh, sh, sh, it’s me… It’s Wilbur.” The voice soothed softly as the hand left your mouth, quickly allowing you to turn your head.
It didn’t feel real… Seeing him after so long… And in an outfit other than his uniform. “Wil...bur?” You repeated, staring at him for a while before giving him a soft smile filled with relief, “You really came…”
“Of course I did!” He almost seemed offended for a moment before his eyes softened as he realized what Schlatt must’ve drilled into your head. Wilbur easily caught you as you flung your self at him, quickly wrapping his arms around you and burying his face in your (h/l) (h/c) hair, “I missed my artiste…” He whispered, donning a temporary french accent for the word ‘artist’.
Holding back a sob, you quickly grabbed his extended hand and followed him as he jumped off your roof, safely landing in a bed of hay that you used to feed your old farm animals that Schlatt confiscated before following him out of this damned country.
After that, things seemed to change between you and Wilbur. He always seemed to be at your side, choosing to personally train you rather than letting Techno train you with everyone else, or even running over ideas on how to expand Pogtopia with you rather than with Tommy. His touches always lingered longer or he somehow wound up leaning closer to you than originally necessary, but you never caught yourself complaining. He would watch you paint beautiful designs along the armour he had gifted you, knowing full well it would chip off and was heavily unnecessary, but he only smiled and let you continue doing it as long as it didn’t interfere with enchantments.
Each day with Wilbur became better and better, but your heart physically couldn’t take it any longer, you had to tell him that you felt this way for him… The way that you had to fight back the reddening of your cheeks when his chest pressed against your back as he adjusted your stance in training, or the way you had to struggle to regulate your breathing every time he complimented you on how far you had come…
He was going to be the death of you…
Your already calloused hands were bruised and blistered, but somehow, you were still able to hold a quill, pinched in between the fingers of your dominant hand. Wilbur had come to your Pogtopia home this morning, but upon realizing that he had knocked you to the ground a little too hard yesterday as you were incredibly stiff and sore, he let you have the day off of training.
This was at least a little chance… You had torn a page from your notebook and sat down at your handmade desk with a bitter sigh. Trust me, you wanted to tell him in person, but you were just too scared… Plus, maybe you could play it off as someone pulling a prank on him if it went south.
Biting your lip, your fingers treated the quill as a brush, delicately running the ink dipped tip over the top of the paper, letting your heart control what words you wanted the ink to form.
Wilbur,
You don't realize how much you mean to me. Although we've been friends for only a year, I feel as though I've known you my entire life. My connection to you is already so deep, and my love for you is already so strong that I can't remember what my life was like before we met. Even more, I can't imagine my life without you now. I can't imagine the future without you, either.
You have saved my life several times already. You have even saved me from myself several times, too! I am so thankful for your guidance and care. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I know that I can just give you a call. I know I can depend on you and, with your help, everything will turn out well.
I want you to know how I really feel. It's time for you to know that I'm ready to admit how much I care for you, how much you mean to me. I know, this isn’t the best timing in our lives, but I trust it will get better through your leadership. I love you, Wilbur.
Please, don't ever forget how much I love you.
Love, (Y/n) (L/n)
Sighing, you put the quill into the inkpot and put your head in your bandaged hands. ‘This is going to work. It will work. Go on. Have faith in yourself, as Wil said…’ You took a few deep breaths and stood up, picking up the letter once it was dry and reading it over as many times as you physically could before your mind couldn’t handle it any longer.
Walking to the door, you cracked it open to search for any sign of your president, sighing again as you realized he was likely out helping gather resources. “Is… This enough?” You mumbled sadly as you stared down at the simple letter before looking at your Enderchest in thought. Surely you could give him a few emeralds or some gold… Yeah! That’s what you’d do! Smiling in victory, you quickly wandered over to the chest and opened it, digging through it for a few moments.
It was sort of empty…
You groaned as you remembered that you haven’t really been one of the miners or forgers for Pogtopia. Instead, you were one of the warriors, focused on protecting others instead of gathering supplies.
Going to shut the chest, you suddenly paused as you saw something colourful resting at the bottom. Pushing aside your old L’Manberg uniform, you gasped as you found your old painting of Wilbur from a few months ago. It was old, yes, and a little dusty but you were still proud of it even now! Perfect.
Pulling out the painting, you began to lightly brush the dust off of the picture, smiling at the splashes of paint and colour forming a picture. It was your magnum opus.
It was a painting of Wilbur holding up a massive L’Manberg flag against the sunlight with a wide smile and hope in his eyes… This was the day that L’Manberg won independence from DreamSMP…
Standing up again, you quickly hurried out the door and walked to Wilbur’s room, silently creaking open the door and looking around, even though you were well aware that he was gone for the day. You walked over to his desk and gently setting the painting down on top of the countless sheets of work, making sure not to mix up any of the papers, then putting your letter on top where he could see it before hurrying out before you could change your mind.
Thankfully you got out when you did because, by the time you pulled an already baked potato out of the furnace, Wilbur came down the stone stairs, looking extremely exhausted, “(Y/n), my artiste…” He murmured with a smile, “I’m glad to see you’re still up and going… I was worried we would have to make you a healing pot.”
“It’s not too bad… It’s mostly just my hands that hurt.” You chuckled and held up your shaking bandaged hands, “You want me to cook you up some potatoes and carrots? Or I could maybe try and get some steak cooked up before you go to work?”
Wilbur tried to smile a bit, deciding not to question why your hands were shaking so badly, taking everything out of his inventory and placing them in their designated chests. “No, no… It’s alright. I’m going to go get ready for Tubbo’s report… I’ll see you later tonight, okay?”
You gave him a small wave before Wilbur disappeared into his office. Taking a sharp intake of breath, you quickly followed after him and peeked through the tiny crack in the door where he didn’t close it all the way. He stood in his room silently for a moment before throwing his hat off at a wall, screaming into hands, muffling it heavily to the point where you wouldn’t have heard it if you were still near the furnaces. Wilbur threw off his jacket before plopping himself into his chair with his head in his hands for a few moments, then lifting it to stare at the painting that you had placed.
He was still for a long time, then he slowly picked up the note, his eyes softened slightly before his face broke out into a wide and genuinely happy smile before his mouth twitched and the smile began to fall, tears bubbling into his chocolate coloured eyes. Wilbur held the note up to his chest and slouched back against his chair, sobbing into his hand, whispering ‘I’m so sorry’ repeatedly.
Frowning, you realized that he physically couldn’t return your love because of the stress of caring for Pogtopia and trying to win back L’Manberg. With a sad smile, you stood up and walked to your room, putting your head down as you saw water droplets hit the stone below you, “It wasn’t a no…” You tried to tell yourself, ignoring the tears running from your eyes as you shut the door, sliding down to your knees.
The next few weeks after that were hell, the complete opposite of the Utopia that you were blinded by for the past month. Wilbur asked Techno to pick up your training, and he never even spoke to you about it again… It was the Piglin hybrid that awkwardly told you. During dinner, Wilbur would practically eat as little as possible as he ignored you, trying to make any situation where he would be in the same room as you as short as possible.
“Wil-...” You reached out to the president but watched as he only gave you the saddest gaze before walking past you as if he never saw you. But he would have no problems talking to Niki, or anyone else! It wasn’t fair!
Time ticked by in a haze of fog and you quickly watched the man you had once fallen in love with becoming a complete shadow of his former self… It was sickening… He… Lost it… His mind was becoming twisted… And all you could do was watch in horror…
You knew something was wrong when he crept away from the festival and the celebration… But you just decided that he was going to take a break from the excitement. He was quite old after all…
Then the ground shook with booming roars as TNT blew craters into the earth, sending debris scattering and people screaming, scattering for their lives. Gasps of terror escaped your lips as you realized the cause of it all… You hopped over gunpowder scented broken stone and batted the smoke away as you saw the final picture to paint the last stroke of horror in your heart.
There was a blond man with massive avian wings holding a diamond sword glimmering with enchantments as the brunet clung to his clothing, slowly sinking to his knees. With a sob of despair, you watched the man you once loved so dearly, get stabbed through the chest by his own father.
“WILBUR!” You shrieked, your ears ringing from the blast as you sunk to your knees, sobs racking your frame violently. Wilbur’s head lazily rolled to look in your direction…
And in his last dying breath… He smiled…
-
“That painting…” A light airy whisper echoed through the darkened stone halls of your home, “It’s familiar… Yet so foreign...”
You gave a hum as you hung your netherite armour on your stand before turning to stare at the spectral figure floating in your doorway, “Which painting, Ghostbur? There’s many… You have to elaborate.”
“Right! Because you’re an artiste!” The transparent male chirped happily, not seeming to notice your flinch, “I mean the one hanging above the fireplace, of Alivebur.”
“Right…” You nodded, following behind the eager sweater-wearing ghost down the eerie hallways and into the office, "I'm going to take it down... I think it's doing more harm than good..."
Ghostbur didn't seem to understand your reasoning, but he didn't say much, knowing that Alivebur hurt many people... But he didn't think he hurt you, "It's pretty though... But your art style has changed, in a good way though!" He smiled softly as you opened the large dark oak double doors.
You walked past your grand dark oak desk to stare at your former magnum opus, dangling above the unlit fireplace. "Hey, Bur, if you have a flint and steel, could you light the fire please?" You glanced over and watched him nod as he dug through his pockets. In the meantime, you climbed up onto the mantle and began to struggle to pull the canvas off the wall. With a bit of hassle, you managed to pull it down and toss it onto the ground before climbing down, just in time for your ghost friend to light the fire.
"Don't damage it, (N/n)! It's still really good!" Ghostbur scolded you with a pout once you hopped down and picked the canvas up, "And you used to be proud of it!"
"I'm not, don't fret too m-" You paused mid-sentence as you saw a letter tucked into the bottom corner of the back of the painting. Frowning in confusion, you slowly picked it up and turned it over into your hand, only to discover that it was addressed to you in fancy cursive, sealed with a light red and white wax seal, "What's this?"
He looked over at you and tilted his head, seeming almost as genuinely confused as you were. Ghostbur shrugged as you propped the painting up against the wall before sitting at your desk, using your letter opener for its purpose, "Love letter, perhaps?"
"I doubt it..." You mumbled softly as you carefully unfolded the paper, recognizing that it was probably a few years old, "Let's see... Who wrote this..." You hummed before beginning to read.
My darling artiste... I'm sure by the time you read this, I'm either dead or... Well, most likely dead, if all goes to plan...
I am writing this letter to you to let you know that life without you is not the same. Life without you is very sad and lonely. I have realised that it was you who keep me alive and cheerful.
I thought I would get used to your absence from my life, but every day has been harder when I think of all the good times we spent together.
There are so many things which I want to confess. It's killing me because I don't want you to go another day without knowing how I feel about you.
And I'm not able to tell you I'm in love with you.
What an idiot I am.
And for the past few days, I've been trying to figure out, why there aren't some words to describe it. I want to tell you exactly how I feel but there isn't a single goddamned word in the entire dictionary that can describe my love for you.
But I need that word. I need it because I want you to hear me say “I love You". I want to make the sweetest gestures in front of you which make you feel even more loved.
Trust me... I know... I act like an absolute ass towards you. I'm so scared of your life being in more danger than it was... I really did love you, and still do, but I didn't want it to hurt you more when I blow up L'Manberg...
Darling, I could have simply called you on your communicator and took you out on a surprise date but I couldn't have expressed my feelings. You have become an integral part of me. I want to give you all my love throughout my life.
The painting you made me is beautiful and I will cherish it for as long as I'm alive... It's a perfect picture of imperfection...
I Love You, (Y/n), even if by now you'll never love me back.
- Wilbur Soot
"That... That idiot..." You whispered, holding your head in your hands in an attempt to hide the tears from Ghostbur, "He planned blowing up L'Manberg from the beginning... That's why he refused to acknowledge me after I... He wanted me to hate him..."
Ghostbur held a bit of blue in his hands tightly, avoiding your gaze as you murmured to yourself, "Yeah... Most of my happiest memories involve you... That's why I couldn't understand when you said Aliverbur hated you..." He glanced away again as he saw you look at him.
"(Y/n)... Are you ever going to move out of Pogtopia?"
"Probably not for a long time, Ghostbur."

Hello! may i request a c!revivebur who’s walking around the server and sees his (now ex) partner for the first time since he died and he apologizes to them for how he treated them in pogtopia and they just like walk around and catch up please? love your writing!! don’t worry if this gets rejected or you don’t feel inspired i know how it feels!
Hope (c!Revivedbur x Reader)
apologies if it's a bit out of character, it's been a while since I've written anything for the DSMP :) but thank you for my first request from there! I hope you liked how it turned out!
Warnings: none? all lore is pretty outdated I think
Genre: fluff-ish
Word Count: 1220
Dawn breaks.
He stands there, watching the sunrise. His trench-coat feels heavy. The gloves on his hands feel scratchy, and he knows he keeps tightening them; a nervous habit. He’s going to betray them all. Whether they win or lose the final war, L’Manberg is going to go up in flames.
He’s not going to be there to see it all.
“You alright, Will?”
You stand beside him, on the cliff, and he knows that Tommy and Tubbo are probably somewhere behind him, watching over you both. He didn’t have his sanity anymore, but he was still in control enough to think of them and Niki, fighting for a false cause, watching over him, worried.
“Of course, love. Why wouldn’t I be?”
His voice is an odd, jubilant tone. It’s one he’s had for a while, the one he had when Tommy and Techno spared and he pushed them both, the one he had when referring to Dream.
You don’t know whether it’s happiness or madness.
“Wilbur Soot.”
“Y/N, I’m alright,” he sighs. He puts his arm around you. “We’re going to win L’Manberg back,” Lie. “and we’ll be able to have everything we once did.” Lie. “I’ll run the country again as it’s rightful leader,” Lie. “and it’ll be the place to build our future.” Lie.
“I don’t care about L’Manberg as much as I care about you,” you state. “Wilbur Soot, I love you. No matter what happens today,” you whisper, “That won’t change.”
How foolish you had been.
Philza had murdered him, a diamond sword straight through his chest, and the only thing that reassured you that it was what he wanted was the smile on his face. Your word never faltered, though. No matter what happens, you’d still love him.
You’re considering changing that sentiment as you go to visit the same cliff, and see someone already there. Occasionally, it’d be Niki there, or Tommy and Tubbo, sometimes even Ranboo. You’d talk to them, reminisce, or tell them bits of history. It always hurts your heart, but that’s what kept the dead alive, their stories.
It’s not any of them this time, though.
You scan the figure ahead of you. Tall, wearing a jacket, gauze and blood wrapped around his right arm. The height tells you it’s Ghostbur, but the dressing and the vibrant color in his hair tells you it’s his living counterpart.
It’s Wilbur. It’s Wilbur Soot, not Ghostbur.
You pinch at your wrist, but the slight sting tells you that it’s no dream.
Wilbur Soot stands a couple meters in front of you, alive. You want to run, away or toward him, you can’t be sure, but you’re rooted in place. He’s alive. The realization fills your heart with love, with fear- which era of Wilbur has he returned as? Is he the musician who made you swoon? Is he the revolutionary, the gentle and kind leader? Is he the man who spiraled into insanity, who blew up L’Manburg?
“Beautiful sunset, isn’t it?”
He knows there’s someone there. Who, he isn’t sure, but whoever it was, whether it was someone new or someone he had to make amends to- starting a conversation was the best way to find a window to apologize. Personal gains aside, there were a lot of people who deserved apologies from him.
Especially his love.
“It’s nice,” you say, cautious. “I haven’t really taken the time to look at another one since Doomsday.”
He turns toward you, shock in his expression and a hopeful glimmer in his eyes. Your hand rests on the hilt of your sword, and he frowns at that.
Did you think- didn’t you still have two lives? He’s not the man he was when he was last alive.
“Love-”
“Please don’t call me that,” you whisper.
“I’m not going to hurt you. I’m not the person who blew up L’Manberg.” He takes note of the way your expression softens slightly, but your hand doesn’t move. “Darling, I’m unarmed. Why are you- how many lives are you on?”
“One.”
“One? I thought- What happened?”
“The L’Manberg explosion took my second one.”
He notices the way you say L’Manberg and not Doomsday. It was his doing.
He decides that he’s never going to forgive himself for it. Even if you do, he’s going to spend the rest of his life making it up to you.
“Oh, sweetheart,” he says, and strides towards you, throwing his arms around you. “I’m so sorry.”
There’s a small silence, before you speak. “I’m getting over it,” you mutter into his shoulder. “All I have to do is avoid conflict. It can’t be the hardest thing in the world.”
“It’s difficult here.” His concern makes you feel warm. Maybe death has changed him. You hope death has changed him.
“I know,” you respond quietly. Avoiding problems never was the strong suit of anyone on the SMP.
“I’ll find a way to beat death for you.”
You laugh a little, and reach your hand up to ruffle his hair. “Of course you’d find a way. You’re always pushing for change.”
“Especially if it helps the people I love.”
You don’t get a moment to reflect on his words before he’s reaching for your hand, interlocking it with his. You both walk, side by side, throughout the SMP.
“A lot has changed,” he remarks.
“Yeah. A lot has.”
Care to tell me what’s been happening around here?”
“Do you have any memories from Ghostbur?”
“Oh, him,” Wilbur frowns at that. His ghost had been way too positive, quite odd, to be honest. Perhaps he felt the tiniest bit guilty that Ghostbur was stuck in the personal hell that was Jubilee Line, but if it meant he got to live, he would make the same decision again, to board the train Dream had sent out for him.
You’re still staring at him, and he gives you an apologetic smile. “Sorry, zoned out there. I don’t exactly have many memories, but they’re coming back to me, little by little.”
“We rebuilt L’Manberg, before Tommy was exiled. You left with him, as Ghostbur. I don’t exactly know what happened there, but-” you sigh. “It must have been hell. Tommy never really recovered, I don’t think. Tubbo forbade any of us to visit, he said it was too dangerous to confront Dream head on.”
“I remember that,” Wilbur says quietly. “If I were to see Dream again, I’d strike him down where he stood.”
“He’s in prison now, thankfully. I’d say he’s getting what he deserves.”
He decides not to mention how Dream was the one who brought him to life.
You both finally stop at the ruins of L’Manberg, staring down into the glass-covered crater. It’s a swirl of memories, a tangle of old times, a harsh reminder of the past.
“We should look towards the future,” Wilbur speaks. His eyes are focused on the bright of the moon, and the glimmer of the stars above both of you. “A future together,” he adds. He kisses the top of your head and puts his hand around your waist, cautious, but you make no move to stop him. Even if he’s not the same, he’s close to the man you once knew.
You find the constellation he’s looking at, and smile slightly.
Canis Major.
A future together.
Hope.

Dream SMP Recap (June 18/2021) - The Outpost Conflict
---
I’m trying out a bit of a new format today! Let me know which one you prefer, or if there’s anything you’d like to suggest!
Maybe it will stick, maybe it won’t, but since a lot happened today, this recap is less edited-down than usual and it’s put beneath a cut with some extra labels for each big “section.” I’ll probably continue to stick to the normal format for less story-heavy days.
---
The day starts off normal enough, with Ponk building a statue and Foolish working on a gas station.
When Ranboo and Tubbo begin building out a new wall to expand their outpost, though, Quackity comes online to confront them with Purpled and Foolish, getting into a heated territorial dispute.
Tommy meets Slime and begins constructing a railway around Las Nevadas, speaking with Quackity along the way. Slime ends up getting kidnapped over a conflict surrounding Linda the shovel.
After Tubbo tells him about some history that surprises him, Ranboo tries to think through how he feels about it until he comes across a visitor at the outpost.
Ranboo later gets into another lengthy debate with Quackity about the border conflict, after which Quackity speaks with Purpled and Foolish about a possible new plan for Las Nevadas:
An underground district of the city.

DREAM SMP RECAP: JUNE 18, 2021
!! UNDER THE CUT !!
---
SECTIONS:
1. Tom Bee
2. Quackity’s Arrival
3. Tommy and Slime Arrive
4. Ranboo and Slime
5. Quackity vs. Ranboo, Area 51
---
-
--- TOM BEE ---
-
- Ponk tells his landlord story to chat at the Thiccatron
- He makes copious amounts of TNT. He goes and places a single piece on top of the rebuilt Pickle’s head
- Ponk goes to the summer home and brings his supplies to his shack there, then creates a giant statue of Tom Bee wired with redstone
- Foolish logs on by where Ponk is standing. He turns around to see the present
- Ponk places down a sign:
---
MOON = FAKE
---
and immediately logs out.
- Foolish tries shooting the target block and the Tom Bee statue blinks. Ponk logs back on to say he passed the test, and the next one will be in four working days. He logs back out again
- Foolish sneaks over to the outpost. Ranboo is there, and Foolish keeps stealthy. He spies on Ranboo from the wall until Ranboo notices and comes over, breaking his cover
- Ranboo tells him to leave. Foolish asks for a cookie and Ranboo gives him some
- They discuss gas stations and Foolish asks if he can have a summer job at the outpost to pay off loans. Ranboo declines, as they already have three employees (himself, Tubbo and the guard fox)
- Foolish leaves to start building a gas station just off the main road to Las Nevadas
- Tubbo and Ranboo begin constructing a new wall for the outpost, expanding it outwards
-
--- QUACKITY’S ARRIVAL ---
-
- Quackity logs on and whispers to Foolish that there’s an issue. The two speak in Las Nevadas
- Quackity looks at the outpost. Foolish explains the new wall came about extremely quickly. The two walk to the outpost, remarking that it doesn’t look like much of a “cookie outpost”
- Quackity has an idea, and he wants Foolish’s warrior experience for guidance. He’s thinking of covering up the river, making that their border, and building up an even bigger wall. He starts placing down cobblestone to demonstrate
- Ranboo spots Quackity building up outside the outpost, putting his armor on
- Quackity says the walls can’t get any closer. Ranboo challenges this
- Foolish starts building up beside Quackity. The two build a tall wall of cobblestone outside
- Tubbo and Ranboo consider blowing up the ugly wall.
- Purpled comes over to join Quackity and Foolish and Quackity tells Foolish about how he recruited Purpled. Foolish’s main experience with Purpled in the past was when he hired Purpled to kill the L’Sandburgians
- As Quackity fills Purpled in on the plan, Tubbo messages back and forth with Foolish
- They join the Las Nevadans’ VC and Quackity asks why Tubbo’s cookie outpost has a giant wall. Tubbo and Ranboo say the wall is outside of Las Nevadas’ border and is on their land
- Quackity is willing to settle it in court. He tells them about some of their plans for new business and billboards. He offers for Tubbo to advertise their cookie outpost in Las Nevadas
- Quackity offers a compromise for them to take down their walls in return for the cobble wall getting taken down as well
- Quackity finds the wall threatening and asks Foolish and Purpled’s opinions on the wall. Purpled explains how the property value is being lowered by the cookie outpost wall. Tubbo whispers to Ranboo that he has several stacks of TNT
- Quackity says that he and Tubbo can have a private conversation, as Tubbo is a lawyer as well
- Tubbo and Quackity go up to the Needle to look over the land. Quackity doesn’t want Tubbo building towards his country. He doesn’t want to fight Tubbo because of their history, though
- Tubbo explains that he builds walls because he knows things he builds tend to be destroyed, and he needs protection. Quackity offers him a treaty of peace as long as Tubbo takes down the extra wall
- While Quackity and Tubbo argue, Purpled, Foolish and Ranboo stand in a circle throwing miscellaneous items at each other
- Quackity doesn’t want a repeat of L’manburg and doesn’t understand why a cookie outpost would need a wall. Tubbo suggests they get a border map drawn up
- Tubbo wants the borders to follow the river, but Quackity disagrees and wants square borders and flat lines
- While Tubbo and Quackity continue to negotiate, Purpled, Foolish and Ranboo play with a red sheep, jumping around it excitedly
- Quackity reminds Tubbo of how L’manburg started as only a drug van that turned into a massive nation. The outpost may seem innocent at first, but Quackity doesn’t want a repeat of history
- Tubbo says he wants reimbursement before he takes down the wall out of principle, since he spent a lot of time on it. Quackity points out he can’t have formed an emotional attachment to the wall already
- Purpled, Fundy and Ranboo contain the red sheep in a small pit in the ground
- Quackity quotes Sun Tzu and says that Tubbo has the high ground. Tubbo says Quackity’s painting him as the enemy
- They get a second red sheep and put it in the pit with the first one, throwing some more miscellaneous items into it
- Quackity says that Jack Manifold taking Tommy’s hotel never sat right with him. He doesn’t like the wall. He leads Tubbo back down
- They go outside to the others and continue bickering about the borders. Quackity is upset that their reunion is a legal dispute
Quackity: “Well why would you come and build this outpost right here?! Especially after not talking to me for so long?!”
Tubbo: “To be close to people -- that’s because you dropped off the radar! What did you want from me?!”
Quackity: “You saw what happened with Technoblade! Why’d you never come talk to me? Why’d you never come try and find me?”
Tubbo: “‘Cause you ran off, and, like, I dunno, I assumed you were going through stuff. So I’d never came and find you or even, like, reached out, ‘cause how was I supposed to contact you.”
- Quackity takes Tubbo into a separate call to discuss things further. Las Nevadas isn’t finished yet, and the walls jeopardize Quackity’s expansion. He’s already had a similar dispute and explains what happened with Wilbur, and how his space has become limited with both Wilbur and Eret boxing him in
- Tubbo suggests open borders. Quackity says that would mean Tubbo would be under Las Nevadas law, but Tubbo disagrees
- Quackity proposes that they consider Tubbo’s outpost an embassy of Snowchester, while everything else is under Las Nevadas’ jurisdiction
- Tubbo suggests Quackity follow the path of least resistance instead of targetting Tubbo. Quackity says he’ll deal with Wilbur and Eret, but he wants to deal with Tubbo with words. He doesn’t want the outpost there
- They return to the others having gotten nowhere. They keep bickering for several more minutes
- Tubbo asks Foolish why he changed his mind from yesterday, where Foolish built a palm tree
- Quackity says that if he doesn’t stop Tubbo and Ranboo from building this place, what’s stopping them from going around and claiming other things if he lets them have this piece of land? He has to put his foot down
- Quackity says they’ll get rid of the outpost if they don’t come to an agreement. He will not allow more expansion
Quackity: “Is that how you want to take it, Tubbo? Is that where you want to take it?”
Tubbo: “Big Q...what’s happened to you?”
“What’s happened to you, Tubbo?! I’m making a really fair request! I have a country in the middle of nowhere and you decided to come in front of my country and build this massive structure, which you call a cookie outpost -- really, it’s a military outpost! It’s a strategic military outpost, that’s what it is.”
Tubbo: “Yeah, that’s what it is.”
Quackity: “Why wouldn’t you choose -- what?”
- Whether it is or isn’t, Tubbo says, is his business. Quackity says it is his business since it’s right by his country
Quackity: “I’ll bleed and die for my country, Tubbo. Whether it be you, Tommy, whoever else, I’ll bleed and die for my goddamn country!”
- Quackity would rather they come to a compromise. Tubbo says it’s hard to come to a compromise with someone who isn’t compromising
- Quackity doesn’t know why Tubbo would want a strategic military position outside of Las Nevadas and he doesn’t have a good history with walls. He doesn’t want there to be conflict
Quackity: "Tubbo, I'm going to get rid of this cookie outpost."
Tubbo: "Best of luck."
- There’s not enough space in this land. Foolish asks about how Tubbo is with Tommy and Wilbur, how they might join them
- Ranboo says he’s never been violent and they aren’t a threat. Quackity reminds Ranboo about what happened with George’s house, and there’s a first time for everything
- Quackity once believed in peace, and it didn’t work out for him
- Tubbo states that whether or not the outpost is a military base, it doesn’t matter, it could go either way. They should take it up at a later date, once he’s thought things through.
- The two speak in private again
Tubbo: “Hey, so you said you play a lot of Civ V, right?”
Quackity: “Yeah.”
Tubbo: “Are you aware of what Gandhi does in Civ V?”
- While Quackity starts telling him to explain himself, Tubbo immediately hangs up on him. Tubbo returns to the outpost
- Meanwhile, Quackity speaks with Ranboo with Foolish and Purpled. Ranboo warns Quackity to not do anything that would directly harm Tubbo
- Ranboo leaves and Quackity talks with Foolish. For the time being, they’re keeping the Las Nevadas walls up
- Ranboo speaks with Tubbo. Tubbo says they won’t try to fight Quackity. He hasn’t done anything bad towards them yet, and has two other fronts to deal with
- Foolish tells Quackity about how Tubbo lost a nuke, and they aren’t sure who would have it. Las Nevadas isn’t giving into them
- Quackity tells the other two that everyone is going to look for conflict, and he wants to give them a chance to back out now
Foolish: “I’ve been in the sand long enough, and...I think it’s time to change things.”
Purpled: “If I went through all of that just to leave this place, I don’t know where I’d be or what I’d do. I mean there’s not really other options for me, are there.”
- Quackity asks how powerful the nukes are. Foolish tells him he’s seen where they built them and they’ve done a test
- Las Nevadas needs the walls. Quackity wants to run tests with canons to test strength of materials
- Foolish asks who’s a part of Las Nevadas. Foolish hasn’t met Slime yet
- Meanwhile, Tubbo and Ranboo listen to a disc together at the outpost, looking out across the land
- They plan to just let Quackity cool off a bit. Ranboo has no quarrel with Quackity and thinks he’s probably a good person. Tubbo says he’s done some questionable things
- Tubbo tells him Quackity was actually the whole driving force behind Technoblade’s execution. Ranboo doesn’t hold it against him. Tubbo’s worried he’s been on his own for so long that he doesn’t know how the world works anymore
- Tubbo also says that Quackity wanted to execute Ranboo, but Tubbo managed to talk him down
Tubbo: “...Did you know I got executed?”
Ranboo: “Hm?”
Tubbo: “Yeah, I know. Have I never told you this?”
Ranboo: “H -- no, you -- you have -- you -- you did?”
Tubbo: “Yeah. Technoblade. Blew me up.”
Ranboo: “What? He -- why did he blow you up?”
Tubbo: “He was peer-pressured into it by Schlatt and Big Q.”
Ranboo: “Like -- by Quackity again?”
Tubbo: “Yeah, see, I’m starting to establish a pattern of behavior, if you know what I mean.”
- He cautions Ranboo to keep it in the back of his mind in regards to Quackity
Ranboo: “Are you -- are you okay? From that?”
Tubbo: “Yeah, I’m fine. Yeah, you know, a little bit burnt from the firework explosions, but you know, it’s fine.”
- Tubbo’s concerned that there might be something sinister going on beneath the surface of Las Nevadas, which is why he wants to observe. If it’s between violence and nonviolence, though, he wants to do things nonviolently if possible
Ranboo: “Are we doing the right thing?”
Tubbo: “Um...we’re kinda just chilling out, we’re doing our own thing. I mean, right and wrong depends on which side you are. Right and wrong isn’t really a fair way to describe things, like, I’ve done shitty things. You’ve done -- you’ve unknowingly done shitty things, but you know.”
Ranboo: “Am I a bad person because of that?”
Tubbo: “No. Like I said, right and wrong just depends what side you’re on.”
Ranboo: “Okay...you would tell me if I was a bad person though, right?”
Tubbo: “Yeah, I’d tell you if you step out of line. And, like so, you’d do the same for me, yeah?”
Ranboo: “Yeah, yeah, of course, of course.”
Tubbo: “Yeah.”
Ranboo: “We’ll just be...safe.”
Tubbo: “Yeah, if we just stick to our side of the river...”
- And if all hell breaks loose, they have a deterrent
- Quackity takes the Las Nevadans to the side of the outpost and says he wants weapons there. They discuss plans for where to build their wall
- Foolish asks who’s the bigger threat to Las Nevadas right now. Quackity isn’t as worried about Tommy and Wilbur, whereas Ranboo and Tubbo have done rapid expansion
-  Foolish has several stacks of obsidian. He asks if Quackity wants any sabotage happening...
- Quackity says that if they so much as destroy a single block of sand, they will react. But until then, they’ll just create the wall. He likes where Foolish’s mind is going, though
Foolish: “Making me feel young again, Quackity!”
- Sam mentioned having a gunpowder farm. Quackity will speak with him
- Quackity asks Foolish about this thing called “L’Sandburg...” Foolish starts explaining it. He says it’s a similar dispute to this one with BadBoyHalo
- Quackity isn’t sure what Tubbo’s relationship with Tommy is nowadays. Foolish tried asking about it and it seems like they went their separate ways
- Quackity asks Foolish and Purpled at how good they are at PvP. Purpled’s pretty good, Foolish might be a bit rusty. Quackity is awful and asks if they could help him train
- Quackity asks Purpled what his relationship with Dream was back in the day. Back in the days of L’manburg, Purpled didn’t have a strong allegiance to anyone. There was never any point where he and Dream really spoke much. Same with everyone else
- As for who Purpled got along with...not really anyone in particular. There was no one person that Purpled was long-term friends with. He spoke with Punz some, but hasn’t seen him in a while. (Foolish saw him recently making a giant trampoline)
- Foolish talks about the missing nuke and mentions he used to be part of Snowchester -- Quackity, hearing this, presses him on it, surprised to learn it. Foolish joined in his first few days, but they kept things from him
- Quackity asks if Snowchester ever tested the nukes, how much damage they could do. Foolish saw the crater
- Quackity asks Purpled if he was there for the destruction of L’manburg. Foolish wasn’t, but Purpled was. Nukes weren’t used, but it was destroyed all the way down to bedrock. If they could replicate that device for defense purposes...
- Foolish also suggests they put together one of the flying versions of the TNT machines. TNT flying bombers. Quackity likes the idea. He wants to be ready for anything
- Quackity tells them both about what happened with Wilbur
Quackity: “When someone goes and claims a part of your land, you don’t really know how to react. But Wilbur took that plot of land and claimed it as his own. What I should’ve done was prevent it from escalating...”
- Foolish asks if Quackity plans to recruit other people. There are a lot of people Quackity hasn’t spoken to, and if he finds people with potential, he might ask them
Quackity: “We don’t want sleepy people in the country.”
Foolish: “Who’s a sleepy person you’re thinking of?”
- Quackity reminds them about George sleeping through the elections. He asks what’s the last they’ve heard about Niki. Foolish last saw her while working on Kinoko, as she was under there first. Quackity is surprised to learn this
- Foolish tells them a bit about what Ponk’s been doing
- There’s also the new guy, Michael. Foolish has spoken with him and thinks he could possibly fit in
- As Foolish and Purpled continue to work on covering up the river, Fundy comes over and Foolish fills him in on what happened
- Fundy is wearing Quackity’s outfit (he went into Quackity’s closet and stole an outfit that fit him). Quackity comes back and notices, telling him he looks great!
- Quackity tells Fundy about what’s going on. They’re building walls right now
- While everything goes on back at the mainland, Puffy takes down her L’Llamaburg towers with plans to move to a more discreet location
-
--- TOMMY AND SLIME ARRIVE ---
-
- Tommy logs on and goes exploring around Las Nevadas a bit (and running into Purpled) before heading home. He notices that there aren’t many railways around
- He returns to Las Nevadas and sees Tubbo’s outpost. He makes it to the tollbooth and meets Foolish face to face. He passes through and goes to the headquarters. Wilbur said the goal was to upset Quackity
- Meanwhile, the Las Nevadans go over to the edge and see Tommy down there. Tommy speaks with Tubbo and Ranboo, who both come over to Fort Big
- Tommy makes a memorial for Ghostbur
- Quackity still has his Manberg war banner. Fundy shows him his prized heirloom, Shclatt, passed down to him from Schlatt himself as he died. Quackity also has stacks of obsidian from the L’manburg wall, one of which he keeps for history purposes
- Foolish points out how Tommy is traumatized by Dream and shows Quackity how he can put on Dream’s head to scare him, saying they can play mental games as well.
He also has the Wilbur head as well and puts it on
Fundy: “Oh, I’m not too keen on that one...”
- Fundy presents the Las Nevadas shield to Quackity
- Tommy drinks the invisibility potion and sneaks over to where the Las Nevadans are standing. They know he’s there, but can’t see him
- Tommy shows himself to them as a pair of pants, introducing himself as “Trousers.” He asks if he can join and gamble. Quackity shows him a gambling machine: a pit of lava he can step into
- “Trousers” asks why they hate Wilbur. Quackity says it’s because Wilbur was one of the reasons L’manburg was destroyed (he read it on a Wiki somewhere)
- Tommy notices his time running out and quickly runs back to Fort Big, getting away from them and speaking with Tubbo and Ranboo again. Slime is there watching by the restaurant as he runs by
- Tommy explains Karl Marx to Ranboo while the Las Nevadans discuss what happens “when two pants love each other very much”
- They introduce Slime to Foolish while Tommy comes up with an idea to build a railway around Las Nevadas
- Slime is wearing a new outfit -- a green version of Quackity’s clothes
- They clarify to Slime that pants do not have sex and Quackity goes to ask Tommy what he’s doing. Tommy tells him he’s creating a free railway that costs no money. Ranboo says he’s not involved
- While they talk about Slime’s fear of pants, Slime refers to Foolish as “Foolish From a Long Time Ago”
- Quackity threatens to destroy Tommy’s country the same way Tommy destroyed his house all that time ago
- Quackity brings Tommy over to apologize to Slime for scaring him
Slime: “Hey Tommyinnit From a Bunch of Places, thank goodness you’re not pants!”
- Tommy tells Quackity that he knows Quackity was trying to manipulate him into joining Las Nevadas, and he doesn’t stand with him
- Quackity asks his relationship with Ranboo and Tubbo. Tommy says they’re friends. Quackity apologizes for what happened with Wilbur the other day
- Meanwhile, Slime and the others talk about flowers “breeding” and Foolish asks if earthquakes are mitosis
- Tommy and Quackity talk about Wilbur. Quackity says he’s just returning the favor by rejecting Wilbur from his country. Tommy tells him two wrongs don’t make a right. You can’t just exclude people
- Quackity asks, what if Dream one day walks out of prison and wants to join Tommy’s country? Tommy says it’s different, Wilbur’s changed and Dream hasn’t -- but Quackity asks how exactly Wilbur’s changed
- If Tommy ever wants to have a conversation, Quackity will be in Las Nevadas. He holds no grudges. Quackity leaves and Tommy works on the railway
- Quackity comes back to the Las Nevadans to find that they’re having The Talk. He tells them that Wilbur was manipulating Tommy into joining him
Slime: “Manipulation? That sounds bad!”
Quackity: “Manipulation is bad, Slime!”
- Quackity says goodbye and heads out. Slime sees in full panoramic vision
- Slime digs himself into a hole. Then he tries to teach Foolish how to do mitosis
- Slime asks Foolish what “among us” is and asks if he is “Susicle”
- Tommy comes over
Slime: “Tommyinnit From Nowhere in Particular!”
- He asks them to come to the casino, explaining that he lost something through gambling that he needs to build his railway: his “romantic shovel”
- Slime gives Tommy a loan to gamble for her back. He asks Tommy what “sympathy” is. Tommy scares him away by pretending to be pants
- Tommy tells Foolish his shovel was named “Linda.” Foolish goes to check the system (going outside and retrieving Linda from his Ender Chest)
- Tommy won’t leave until he gets the shovel back and threatens to “take the boy,” turning to Slime and offering to lead him to a box that he can sit in forever. Foolish has Linda, but he wants something in return for spending his money gambling to get her
- Tommy takes a piece of Slime and starts walking away with Slime following to retrieve himself
Tommy: “You’re going to be such a good prisoner.”
Slime: “Like Dream!”
- Foolish puts on the Dream head and Tommy starts running, telling Charlie to follow him. He brings Charlie to Fort Big and puts Slime in a hole
- Slime starts doing mitosis. Tommy tells him to not do it and asks if he would like to betray Foolish, telling him that “betrayal is good.”
Slime: “Dream From Manhunt ate him!”
- They drop some bars
Tommy: “My name is Tommyinnit and I’m here to say, I keep prisoners in a different way! I - am - immoral!”
- Foolish starts digging Slime out. He gives Tommy a fake Linda but Tommy notices the difference. Tommy reminds Slime about betrayal and tells Foolish to leave
- They ask if Slime is having fun
Slime: “I have just been having a time! Since I was sludge! None of it has been good, none of it has been bad, it’s all just been time! Oozing onwards to the inevitable destruction of everything! One day we will all be soup, so in a way I’m not so different than the inescapable future!”
Tommy: “What he means is he’s having fun.”
- Foolish leaves. Tommy keeps Slime’s gloop, which gives him 33% control over what Slime does. The Prisoner Hole in Fort Big will be Slime’s home, and they’ll upset Quackity
- Slime says he’s (definitely not) a pile of goop that’s been in the ground observing everything. Tommy notes that they seem quite alike
Slime: “Tommyinnit...I haven’t been exiled!”
- Tommy asks how he knows. Slime saw. Why didn’t he help? Slime says he glooped around a little.
- Tommy leaves Slime in the hole. He has the idea to threaten him as the legs later
- Foolish worries that if Tommy gets Linda back, he’ll lose the one bargaining chip he has over Tommy and Tommy will just manipulate Slime, who is very impressionable
- Maybe next time he should just fight back instead of trying to work through tricks all the time. He did say he would be changing things. Or maybe he should just get rid of Linda?
- He can also just work on his Dream impression. He ends stream, hoping to finish the gas station tomorrow
-
--- RANBOO AND SLIME ---
-
- Ranboo thinks to himself at the outpost. He and Tubbo just wanted to expand their area for a wheat farm, and now Quackity’s gone and gotten in the way as well as covered up the river
- He has no ill feelings towards Quackity, except possibly -- well, he learned that Tubbo was executed, found out that Quackity wanted to have Ranboo executed
- He’s not sure how to handle this. Should he say something to Techno? He wants to stay peaceful
- Ranboo spots the shadow of a nametag moving behind the wall. He pauses work on the farm
- He comes to the gate to find Slime behind the lava wall. When Ranboo lowers the wall, Slime starts running. Ranboo confronts Slime outside and questions what he was doing
- Slime asks who Ranboo is. Ranboo tells him simply, “Ranboo”
- Slime tells him that Tommyinnit From Nowhere has 33% of his “meat” and that he was put in jail
- Slime says he’s from the ground before correcting to “the womb.” Ranboo says it’s nice to meet him and asks if he’s human, noting that he’s “slimy”
- Slime tells him that he was with Quackity From Las Nevadas, but now he is with Tommy From Nowhere because Tommy can control him with “meat”
- Ranboo tells him he -- Ranboo -- is not human. Slime directs him to spin around and jump before referring to him as a “brother slime.” Because if Ranboo is not human, he must be slime
- Slime tells him the truth: he is actually goo. They enter the outpost and Ranboo gives him a cookie to eat. Slime hasn’t seen any other slimes up here. It took a long time and a lot of watching for Slime to look like this
- Ranboo doesn’t think, genetically, it’s possible for him to be Slime’s brothers. Slime tells him genetics are a lie, they must be brothers, and tells him “I forget too”
- Quackity has taught Slime how to be friends! Slime demonstrates by digging himself into a hole and telling Ranboo that he’s going to kill him, then Ranboo will work for him, and thus they are best friends
- Ranboo tells him that isn’t what friendship is, and that friendship is based on kindness. Slime hands Ranboo some bones to keep up his disguise
- People can’t find out what they really are. If they found out, who knows what would happen? Slime has seen what they’ve done...
- After learning that Ranboo has been speaking with the others, Slime asks what he has learned about friendship (he refers to Ranboo as “Ran-goo.”
- Ranboo explains it with acts of kindness, like cookies. Slime tries this by charging interest on the cookie
Slime: “How else is the house supposed to win?”
- Slime learns that people don’t get things back necessarily, but rather trust and friendship. A “bond” (he confuses it for the investment definition)
- Ranboo tries explaining it by talking about an emotional attachment to a pet -- if the pet died, one would feel sad. Slime asks how?
- Slime gives Ranboo some goo to patch himself up. Ranboo “does so,” and Slime says he is now a part of Ranboo
- Ranboo tells him that someone telling them they’ll kill you isn’t a good thing. Slime asks why not -- everyone will be dust eventually
- Ranboo continues to teach Slime about friendship. Slime wants to understand why people do what they do
- Ranboo tries to tell Slime that he’s not a slime, but Slime still doesn’t believe him. He’s part Enderman and part...he’s not slime and he’s also not human
- Ranboo gives Slime his parts back. Slime tells him about how Fundy From L’manburg ate a part of him and now Slime is part of Fundy forever. Slime hands Ranboo more slime and asks if he has a mouth. They can have “a bond”
- Ranboo tells him he’ll keep it on him, but not eat it
- Slime says he hasn’t seen Ranboo. Ranboo hasn’t seen him either, since he seems to be new
- Ranboo tells him he’s been here since after L’manburg got destroyed the second time (which Ranboo refers to as the first). Slime notes that that place got blown up a lot
- Ranboo shows him grass blocks. Slime tries to pick one up, but he can’t
- Ranboo notes that Slime is one of the only people that he can look right in the eyes
- Slime tries to give his cookies back to God. When it doesn’t work, he gives them to Ranboo
- He tells Slime to not hurt people, even if other people tell him to. Slime has to think for himself about what he wants to do
- Slime goes into the ground where he will commune with the gravel to think about what Ranboo has said
Slime: “When I come out, promise you won’t be dust!”
- Ranboo watches Slime, who remains in the hole. Slime begins whispering to himself about the nature of existence while Ranboo stands there listening
- Slime comes back up, saying he was just “processing.” Ranboo tells him he used to go to an obsidian room when he needed to process
- Ranboo tells him that if Slime ever needs advice, he’s free to ask him. Ranboo also tells him that friends aren’t supposed to be controlling of you. Slime won’t let people control him
- Slime leaves to return to prison, telling Ranboo he won’t let anyone keep him down again!
- Ranboo hopes he’ll learn about free will soon. Something tells Ranboo Slime should probably be protected
- When Ranboo met Slime, he saw himself in him. He used to be like Slime back in L’manburg, going along with people and things
- Ranboo just wants to be supportive of Tubbo. He thought the scars came from Tubbo just testing something. He doesn’t know how he feels about Techno doing it
- He hasn’t seen Techno in a while...
- Ranboo heads to the strip club to visit the place he made
- After thinking some more, Ranboo leaves some signs with a gift chest saying he’s sorry to Quackity that they got off on the wrong foot, and would like to talk some more
-
--- QUACKITY VS. RANBOO, AREA 51 ---
-
- Bad and Skeppy log on, Bad planning to possibly build Skeppy’s statue
- Quackity logs on in Las Nevadas and finds some food. He notices the gift box, reads the signs and finds the Yeezys and cookies. He’s not impressed
- He runs into Ranboo coming up from the tunnel and tells him to pay the toll. He gets Ranboo to come back to the toll booth and then blocks off the tunnel, saying Las Nevadas is closed for the day
- The two speak. Ranboo tells him he has no ill intentions. Quackity asks why his partner threatened to nuke Las Nevadas. Ranboo tells him the nukes were decommissioned, but Quackity still took it as a threat
- Quackity tells him the only way they’ll be on a good foot is if they relocate the outpost. Ranboo tries to explain, but Quackity hangs up and walks away
- Quackity explains his thinking, how he feels threatened by why a cookie outpost would need such a massive wall. Quackity has to protect his country
- Foolish logs on. Quackity intends to continue building up the wall until it encloses the entire area
- Quackity speaks with Foolish, who tells him about Tommy taking Slime prisoner because Foolish wouldn’t give the shovel Linda back
- Quackity starts running as Foolish continues to fill him in. Foolish shows him Linda in his hand. Quackity is outraged that Tommy would hurt Slime over a shovel
- He’s also mad that Foolish would let it happen. They get to the tollbooth and spot Ranboo running around again
- Quackity tells Ranboo that if Ranboo wants peace, they’ll have to compromise. Foolish was inspecting the outpost and found gunpowder. Quackity doesn’t like the area that they’ve used to build these farms that are heading towards Las Nevadas
- Meanwhile, Skeppy and Bad argue and Skeppy pricks himself to death on a cactus
- Quackity tries to explain his position to Ranboo again. He wants it on paper that they’ll have no issues, and he wants compromise
- They continue to argue. Las Nevadas has plans of expansion
- They keep arguing and eventually, Quackity tells Ranboo to talk it out with Tubbo and to stop expanding. They part ways and Quackity asks Foolish’s thoughts on this. They talk about the expansion
- The subject returns to Slime, and Foolish explains how Tommy came barging in asking for Linda. Quackity tells him to just give Linda back. He trusts that Tommy’s a good person and won’t cause more trouble if Foolish just returns it
- Foolish asks if another situation like the one with Tommy and Slime happens again, how should he handle it.
Quackity: “You know what we need, Foolish? ...We need laws. We need jurisdiction.”
- Purpled comes over as they start taking down the extra cobble wall they built earlier
- They finish and Quackity speaks with Purpled back in Las Nevadas. Quackity points out that the country is very exposed right now, and they need a backup plan: an underground city expansion
- Purpled tells him about the underground part of his base beneath the UFO he used to have and Quackity asks for him to show it to him. They go over there
- The underground area could be where all of the functional things are, away from the flashy tourist attractions
- They reach “Area 51,” the underground area. Quackity remembers how he and Tommy used to smuggle drugs through the sewers there
- Purpled shows him around through all the secret rooms. They figure out the combination lock
- Quackity also directs Foolish to place more sand, since that’s where people assume the borders stop
- Purpled fixes the entryway to Area 51. Quackity wants something similar done in Las Nevadas
- With regards to conflicts, Quackity trusts them to act on their own judgement. He leaves them with that and heads out

A Bit More than You Can Chew
Sbi x Reader Family dynamics
Request - hallo! i just wanted to say how amazing your writing is (i just read your wilbur x reader, sbi fam au and it’s amazing) and was hoping to ask for a family dynamic where the reader is a sibling that goes through something requiring big brothers protective moments + how they would react differently? thanks :D
Summary - You tend to get a tad overconfident in picking your battles and that leaves your brothers to pick up the pieces.
Word Count - 1.9k
TW - blood, fighting, death
A/N - So a few parts here I paraphrase because quite frankly, I’m too lazy to look up the exact quotes. Same with the order of the events.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Tommy
You had been blissfully unaware of the decision that Tubbo had on his shoulders. When the news had come to the council of New L’Manburg, Tommy had insisted that you be kept out of the loop. Tommy knew that you were still struggling to cope with the loss of Wilbur and he didn’t want to burden you with the fact that he might be exiled or even killed by Dream. That all worked fine until the day that Ghostbur had brought up that Tubbo was deciding at that very minute on whether to exile Tommy or not. Your immediate reaction had been anger at the fact that everyone had kept this secret from you until the weight of the news fully settled in. You grabbed your armor and weapons and ran as fast as you could to the obsidian wall with Ghostbur trailing behind you, begging you not to get involved.
The sight of the men on top of the wall was enough to make your blood run cold. You could hear Tommy yelling about how they could get Techno involved and finally bring an end to Dream’s rule. Then Tubbo stepped in and said possibly the worst thing you could have ever fathomed.
“No! Tommy, don’t you see? It’s too late you threatened the safety of L’Manburg! I have to exile you,” Tubbo said and the distress of the situation was clear on his face.
You stumbled a little bit at that but quickly composed yourself to climb up the wall trying to ignore the way that Dream’s crossbow was now trained on Tommy. You quickly pushed Tommy behind you and raised your sword towards Dream.
“If you think that I’m just going to stand here and let you run my brother out of his country, you are more insane than I originally thought,” You spit out looking around for more help, it couldn’t possibly be just you and Tommy against Dream.
Your eyes scanned the group and almost immediately Tubbo and Quackity averted their eyes. Fundy just stared back at you with a sad look in his eyes before slowly turning his eyes to the ground. You scoffed a little and turned back to Dream with a death grip on your sword.
“We fought against you for independence and then you betrayed us by siding with Schlatt. I’m tired of letting you push us around. Dream, I am not letting Tommy leave L’Manburg,” You said confidently despite the fear that was currently swirling around in your stomach.
Dream laughed softly and took a few steps towards you and Tommy, “You really think you have the power to stop me? You have no one!”
You fought every urge in your body to flinch at the raised voice and simply stared back at Dream with your stance unwavering. Tommy was pleading with you to just drop it and let Dream take him. You shook your head and kept your eyes trained on Dream’s every movement. The moment Dream raised his finger to press the trigger of the crossbow you pulled yourself and Tommy down. The arrow whizzed over your heads before you rushed forward and brought your sword down. Dream was just as quick to raise his shield and block the strike. You grunted softly as you yanked your sword free from the wood of the shield. After a few moments of practically silent fighting, a hit was finally landed. You brought your hand down to your side and pulled it back to see the red that stained both your skin and fabric around it. You stumbled a bit and fell onto your knees. Tommy screamed out your name and immediately put himself in between you and Dream.
“Leave them alone just have them come with me please Dream,” He pleaded before he fell to his knees to assess your wound.
Dream looked down at the two of you, “Get them up they are coming with you.”
Techno
When Schlatt had won the presidency and exiled both Tommy and Wilbur, you had insisted you go with the two of them. Wilbur had refused and convinced you to be a spy with Tubbo and keep each other safe in Manburg. Everything had been going fine, you and Tubbo had no reason to believe that Schlatt or Quackity suspected anything, at least until the festival had come around. Schlatt had been acting strange since the planning of the festival, so as soon as it began you pulled Tubbo aside.
“Tubbo, I have a really bad feeling about all of this, I think we need to get in contact with Will and call off this whole thing,” You said while looking around for anyone that could be listening in to the conversation.
Tubbo waved his hand and looked around as well, “Y/N, you’re just being paranoid, Schlatt suspects nothing at all. We will be fine.”
The event continued and your feelings of unease only rose with each moment. Schlatt called everyone back for Tubbo’s speech and at this point, you were practically sick with fear. You took a seat next to Techno and glanced over at him, trying desperately to portray how fearful you were simply by your eyes. Techno looked over at you and quirked up an eyebrow before both of you were pulled out of your silent conversation with Schlatt beginning to speak. You tuned out the speech as a whole and glanced up at Wilbur and Tommy on top of the building. Wilbur had the look of crazy that seemed to occupy his face all the time now. Tubbo stepped up to the mic and you could see the way that Wilbur’s smile only grew. You sat with bated breath until Tubbo said the words.
“And yeah, enjoy the festival,” Tubbo finished with a little laugh.
Schlatt let out a loud laugh before moving to block Tubbo in, “You thought that you had tricked me didn’t you. Well everyone, do I have news for you. Dear Tubbo here is a traitor. He has been conspiring with Pogtopia this entire time. And you know what, Y/N why don’t you come up here too.”
You looked around slowly and watched as Punz pulled out his sword and gestured up the stage. As you made your way to the podium you could see the fear on Wilbur and Tommy’s faces and the way Techno was trying to conceal any emotion to not give away his alliances. You finally stood in front of Schlatt with your head held high.
“Techno come on up here, I want you to show everyone here what we do with traitors here. Kill Tubbo and then Y/N,” Schlatt said coldly as he gripped a hand around your wrist so you couldn’t move.
Your heart was pounding as you watched Techno slowly walk up the stairs to the stage. You looked over at Tubbo who had silent tears falling down his face. The urge to cry was practically consuming you but you refused. Never give the enemy the joy of knowing your defeat, Techno had always told you. Your brother stood in front of Tubbo with his crossbow loaded and trained at Tubbo’s head. You closed your eyes and looked away as the blast sounded with the cries of Nikki filling your ears. Schlatt laughed loudly and pushed you onto your knees in front of Techno.
“Go on then, only one more rat to take care of,” Schlatt said to Techno with a huge grin.
“Do it Techno,” You simply said before closing your eyes and letting a few tears fall down your face.
The fear of losing your life was washed away as you came to terms with your death, but when the blast sounded you were fine. Techno was pulling you up and screaming at you to run. The disorientation of it all was finally wiped clean when you felt Tommy grab your hand and shouting at you to run as well. Techno had sacrificed his facade of neutrality for you.
Wilbur
The revolution of L’Manburg had started as a simple idea but now you were here, surrounded by your friends and family and fighting for independence. You looked over at Wilbur as the council plotted the next attack on the Dream SMP. You sat and listened as they all threw out different ideas of how to hit Dream and his friends where it hurt. Everyone was still shaken by Eret’s betrayal and Tubbo was completely silent as he sat next to you. You gently wrapped an arm around him and pulled him into your side. Wilbur was arguing with Tommy over who would go talk to Dream about a treaty. You sighed a little and looked around the room of defeated faces.
“I’ll go,” You said loud enough to be heard above your brothers.
Wilbur scoffed slightly, “Not that I don’t trust you but I am not sending out any of you to talk with Dream, I will go alone. And that’s final.”
Tommy was pouting as he looked up at his older brother before falling into silence next to Tubbo. You rolled your eyes a little bit and looked at Wilbur.
“Will, you have let me do almost next to nothing in this, I am tired of you trying to protect me. I am going to talk to Dream about the treaty. Write up your demands and I will go immediately. There is nothing that you can do to stop me,” You said stubbornly as you watched the anger grow in Wilbur’s facial expression.
“Absolutely not! You are going to stay here with Tommy, Tubbo, and Fundy. I am not letting you near that man. He is completely insane and if you think he wouldn’t hurt you you are wrong,” Wilbur yelled at you making your anger fester.
You stood up and took a few steps closer to Wilbur, “You have been treating me like a child! I am strong enough to go and meet up with Dream, stop throwing yourself in the line of fire because you think I’m some helpless child Wilbur,” You yelled back just as loud.
“Y/N I don’t wanna see you hurt! I already dragged you and Tommy into this and I will do everything in my power to keep the both of you safe,” Wilbur yelled before storming off to the back of the van.
The entire room fell deathly silent before you took a few moments to swallow your pride and calm down. You looked over at Tommy who had his eyes stubbornly trained on the floor. With a roll of your eyes, you walked towards the back of the van and opened the door to see Wilbur on a chair with his head in his hands. You frowned a little and took a seat next to him.
“Will, I was a little out of line with what I said. I know that you are just trying to keep Tommy and me safe. We just get a little frustrated when you push us to the back of the battle. You didn’t drag us into this, we joined because we believe in this country. We want to fight with you,” You said softly as you looked at your older brother.
Will looked up with red-rimmed eyes, “I just don’t want to see either of you hurt.”
“I know Will,” You said softly before pulling him in for a tight hug.

The Problems Arising (The Festival)
First - Previous - Next
Notes: :)
Warnings: Character Death
Tubbo had barely woken up when Schlatt’s voice rang out, announcing his entrance.
“Tubbo, my man! Today’s the day!” Tubbo sat up sleepily, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Normally Schlatt would’ve let him sleep longer than this. He seemed very excited at the moment though.
Tubbo wracked his brain for what possibly could’ve been today that had got Schlatt so excited. The tired feeling almost completely disappeared when he remembered.
The festival was today!
Normally, Tubbo wouldn’t be this excited for an event like this, but Schlatt had told him that he could attend as long as he stayed hidden. Now, he would’ve stayed hidden regardless. He didn’t need anyone else knowing about him or borrowers, but he appreciated Schlatt’s concern.
The past couple weeks had been strange for Tubbo. Schlatt had started getting better, he wasn’t as violent and angry towards him. He even called him son at one point.
It made the borrower happy, knowing he’d officially gained Schlatt’s trust. The president still wasn’t a good person by any means- plus the man drank way too much to be healthy. But he trusted Tubbo, and that was progress.
Tubbo quickly made his way to his feet and stared up at Schlatt, who was looming over the enclosure with a big smile on his face. It was an unnerving sight for the borrower but he decided not to say anything, instead opting for smiling up at the president.
“It’s the big day, sir! Your festival! Is everything all set up and ready?” Schlatt continued to grin and lifted the top of the enclosure off. The man reached inside and grabbed Tubbo in a fist. The borrower resisted the urge to squirm in the grip as it was a bit too tight.
“Well of course it is! Everything is going perfectly as planned.” Tubbo only faked a grin up at Schlatt. He had to play nice with the man in order to be able to go to the festival.
If he was being honest, Tubbo was getting tired. Tired of everything happening and of Schlatt and Quackity. He didn’t really have to interact with the duck hybrid too much, but those moments were still tense. It was easier whenever Schlatt wasn’t around, but those moments were few and far between.
Tubbo hoped he would at least be able to see Tommy and Wilbur at the festival. He knew they were exiled and weren’t actually allowed in the country, but he also knew those two were the types to have something planned. Wilbur was bound to have a plan for something to happen at the festival, he had to.
That was the main reason Tubbo was excited to go, he would be able to see whatever chaos the brothers would cause. It made them rescuing him more difficult, but he didn’t mind. He was in good standings with Schlatt, so he was fine.
Tubbo was yanked out of his thoughts when he was roughly deposited into a stuffy pocket. The material was scratchy and uncomfortable, reminding him of the suit he was currently forced to wear. It wasn’t too difficult to identify this as being Schlatt’s pocket. So despite the discomfort, he was going to have to deal with it for the rest of the day.
He shifted around in the pocket in order to rest on his knees and tried to get a look at the world outside. A finger suddenly came in and pushed his head down, shoving him back into the stuffy pocket with a yelp.
“You may be allowed to come with me to the festival, but under no circumstances will you show yourself off to my citizens. Stay in the pocket.” Tubbo wanted to protest, what was the use of going with Schlatt if he couldn’t see anything? Instead, he held back his grumbles and settled down in the pocket as if it was a hammock.
“Yes sir.” Schlatt seemed satisfied with the answer as he responded with an affirmative huff.
All of a sudden, everything began to move. Tubbo just sat in the pocket as Schlatt made his way outside to join the festivities that had already begun.
“Schlatt!” Tubbo bit back a yelp as Schlatt was suddenly crushed in a hug from no one other than Quackity. That was one of the things Tubbo hated about the vice president, he knew nothing about personal space.
This time wasn’t any different as Quackity unknowingly pressed the borrower tightly against the president’s chest. He gasped for breath when Quackity finally pulled away and he felt the lurch of Schlatt being dragged towards everyone else at the festival.
His chest hurt from the pressure of the hug, but there was little he could do as he couldn’t leave the pocket he was in.
From Schlatt’s pocket, Tubbo could hear everyone else’s conversations around them. He heard Niki talking to Fundy about her new bread recipe and Bad yelling at Quackity for swearing. He also heard a new voice, a deep voice that was unfamiliar to the borrower.
Was it someone who was passing through the country when the festival had started? It must be, Tubbo would’ve recognized them if they were a citizen of Manberg.
The festival was boring for the borrower. Being trapped in a stuffy suit pocket made all the different activities and entertainment pointless as he couldn’t do or even see any of them. They were also around people almost the entire time so Tubbo couldn’t even risk a glance, not like he wanted to. He’d rather as few people know of his existence as possible.
A few hours after the festival had started, Schlatt and Quackity both stood on a podium. The duck hybrid tapped on the microphone and began his opening speech as Schlatt stood slightly behind him, watching over the president’s shoulder as if waiting for anything suspicious to occur.
Tubbo tuned out the speech and took this opportunity to finally take a peek out of the pocket. As carefully as he could, he poked his head out of the pocket and surveyed his surroundings.
The podium was very well built but Tubbo expected nothing less from Schlatt. He’d probably hired the best he could find to make sure everything looked perfect.
Whether Schlatt had paid the architect was a completely different story, but that didn’t matter to the borrower at the moment.
Suddenly, movement from the top of a building caught Tubbo’s eye. He looked up to try and figure out what was moving on the building, expecting to see a bird or maybe a stray mob.
What he didn’t expect to see was Wilbur and Tommy leaning over the edge of the building, watching intently as the speeches went on. Tubbo slapped a hand over his mouth to stop the excited gasp from leaving him.
They actually came! He’d hoped that they were here to try and do something to Schlatt. Maybe they would take a stand and try to start an uprising. They did have some allies in this crowd, after all, so they would have an actual chance.
What bothered Tubbo though was how worried his best friend looked. Tommy normally went into every situation with overconfidence that would always get him into near-death situations. But now, now he looked scared. The way he kept glancing between Wilbur and the podium gave the borrower a bad feeling.
And when he looked at Wilbur the bad feeling only worsened. Something about the way he stared at Schlatt with an unwavering gaze made an uneasy feeling grow within the borrower. It felt... unnatural, it felt wrong.
Wilbur and Tommy suddenly both ducked back out of sight as Quackity began introducing Schlatt to the microphone. Tubbo ducked back into the pocket, not exactly wanting to be seen now that Schlatt was in the center of attention.
“Look at our fine country! Our beautiful Manberg deserves to be celebrated like this, don’t you all think!” Some cheers rang out from the crowd, though Tubbo noticed how some of them definitely sounded forced. He didn’t blame them, their country was changed so much once Schlatt became president.
Tubbo felt bad for the citizens of what was once L’Manburg. They were all people of a proud country, a country that fought for their independence. Now they had to listen to the new president- the dictator who had completely taken over their country and changed it completely.
No one deserved it, especially the people who were targeted by Schlatt himself. Niki was one of the hardest hit. Her taxes were raised constantly, Tubbo wasn’t entirely sure how she kept up with them.
Not wanting to think about that sort of stuff right now, Tubbo zoned back into Schlatt’s speech.
“And now we only have one issue left at hand. It has come to my attention that there is a traitor in our midst.” Tubbo froze. He’d been so good at keeping everyone’s secrets. Was it Niki? Fundy? Who’d Schlatt find out about and how had he even found out about them?
“The saddest thing is that it was someone I hold close to me. I really did trust them, but they have been going behind my back for quite some time now. It saddens me, but we all know what happens to traitors.” Schlatt paused for a moment, staring out over the crowd of people.
“Nothing good.”
Tubbo was given no time to react as fingers reached into the pocket and harshly wrapped around him. He closed his eyes as he was yanked into the open, the sudden light change being too much for him right now.
The crowd began to murmur in shock at the sight of him. He could hear the shocked gasps and whispers as they all tried to figure out what he was and why he was so small.
“My fine friends, have you all ever heard of borrowers?”
Tubbo opened his eyes again and stared in horror at the massive crowd of people he was being shown off to. They all stared at him in varying degrees of shock. The only people whose expressions he couldn’t read were Dream’s and a piglin’s, whom the borrower hadn’t seen before today.
“This here is Tubbo.” Schlatt seemed to pay no mind to how shocked everyone was, instead opting to continue his speech as normal. “He’s been a close member of my cabinet and I truly did trust him. But it seems as if he has decided I haven’t treated him well enough. I gave him clothes, food, a place to sleep, and he repays me with betrayal.”
Tubbo began trying to squirm out of Schlatt’s grasp. This wasn’t good, this wasn’t good at all. On top of the fact that now an entire country knew about him and his species, Schlatt had somehow found out about his traitorous actions. And Tubbo knew exactly how Schlatt felt about traitors, the man wasn’t subtle about that piece of information.
“Technoblade. Could you come to the podium please?”
Tubbo stilled as he watched the piglin stranger freeze up in shock before awkwardly making his way up to the podium. So that was his name. For being such an intimidating-looking guy, with an intimidating-sounding name too, he seemed to be pretty awkward.
That didn’t make it any less nerve-wracking as the piglin stood next to Schlatt, easily towering over the borrower, he was huge. So when Schlatt suddenly dropped him into the hooved hands of the piglin, Tubbo would definitely admit he was beyond scared.
Tubbo yelped as Technoblade fumbled with the borrower before gently holding him in his hands. The piglin looked around confused before settling his gaze on Schlatt. The ram’s smile sent a shiver down both his and the piglin’s spines.
“Techno, I’d like you to take care of him for me. That shouldn’t be too hard for someone like you.” Tubbo paled. He shook a bit and whipped his gaze towards Technoblade. He knew exactly what Schlatt was implying.
“Take care of him? Like, keep him safe?” Tubbo stared up at the piglin, confused and a bit angry at him for misinterpreting the command. He must’ve been an idiot for not knowing what Schlatt meant.
Though he did notice how Technoblade kept glancing up to the top of the building where Wilbur and Tommy were as if asking a silent question.
Tubbo let his gaze linger up there as well, only to notice a terrified-looking Tommy, meanwhile, Wilbur nowhere to be seen. He didn’t blame Tommy though, he’s pretty sure if nobody stops this then the blond was about to watch his best friend die.
Schlatt just narrowed his eyes at Technoblade’s response. “Kill him Techno. I’m the president, the blood doesn’t go on my hands. That’s what you’re here for.”
The silence following that confirmation was deafening.
Not one person in the crowd dared to speak, everyone in too much shock at the events playing out before them to speak anyways. Even Tubbo stilled at the words and kept his horrified gaze on the piglin holding him.
He- he wouldn’t actually kill him… right?
The blank look Technoblade was giving him was nowhere near reassuring though. Tubbo’s eyes widened as fingers began wrapping around his body. By the time he attempted to squirm away, the grip had already become too tight.
“P-please! Please don’t do this! Please don’t!” Techno just stared down at him with the blank stare, though Tubbo could’ve sworn he saw a small look of remorse flicker in his eyes like a silent apology for what was about to happen.
He screamed as the pressure only continued to tighten around him and black dots filled his vision. Soon, his own screams cut out as the grip became too tight and he couldn’t breathe.
As Tubbo felt himself slowly fading away, he heard the familiar sound of an ender pearl shattering before someone rammed into Technoblade, forcing the piglin to let go of the borrower and drop him to the podium floor.
Tubbo closed his eyes, letting the darkness consume him. Faintly, he heard the angry voice of his best friend and something similar to fireworks going off around him, but he ignored it all in favor of falling asleep.
Neither Tommy nor Technoblade noticed how the small body vanished into thin air, only a small puff of smoke remaining.
