Dream's stage presence during the TWWTH tour was great, and frankly a lot more than I expected from a guy with little to no experience with live performances. I had no doubt he'd be good at it, but he truly blew me away. And the fact he was able to pull it off so soon after a major surgery that left him unable to walk on his own? Absolutely incredible

I really hope he decides to do another tour in the future, it would be awesome to see how well he could command an audience now that he has a better idea of what he's doing/doesn't have to rehearse through a recovery period

who are your favorite artists? ik you’ve talking about Xana

XANA is my fav solo artist and PVRIS is my favorite band for sure. Chappell Roan is a recent rocket towards the top. Mothica's new album is coming out soon and oh my god listen to Nocturnal (Deluxe, there's some unskippables in the deluxe) if you can (cws: alcoholism, depression, i think her other trauma songs are on Blue Hour so those are the main ones). Outside of my top tiers it's really hard for me to distinguish layers so pulling a bunch would just quickly become a massive list lol but I'd go see all of those first four in concert (and in fact am seeing two of them) so that's why I call them top tier because it's really hard for me to manage that physically but I would for them. I promise I listen to more genres than this but most of my library is Pop/Alt XD You can also look to my fic playlists for more recommendations.

The reason I'm talking about XANA so much lately is because 1) I want her to spit in my mouth and 2) the music on the new album inspired me for the Slipstream backstory. I've been wanting to do a hacker and single mom Adora AU separately for a while but Slipstream didn't have backstory for why they fell apart yet and The Sex Was Good Until It Wasn't kicked down my door and said here's the inspo lol. i will never not defend people who like taylor swift. especially towards men.

people who say that kanye made her famous and that swifties are a cult piss me off so much.

“kanye made her famous” he interrupted a 19 year old girl who was WINNING AN AWARD. everyone seems to forget that she was receiving a vma. if he “made her famous” then why was she already being highly praised?

everyone getting upset at swifties, particularly teenage girls, who dress up, dance, have fun at the concert and movie don’t even try to see their point of view. some people treat the movie like the real concert because they didn’t get a chance to go to the concert. this is their concert. a lot of grown men do they exact same thing for sports. except i haven’t seen any swifties breaking things because she didn’t play their favourite song.

why are men allowed to enjoy their sports teams and dress up and yell and even sometimes become violent towards others over results but people can’t publicly enjoy an artist that makes them feel safe and happy.

it’s totally okay for you to not be a fan of her music, not everything is to everyone’s taste. i’ll even admit to enjoying a few kanye songs myself.

the hatred for taylor swift and her fans feels so misogynistic and uncalled for. they aren’t harming you. they’re just having fun. let them do that.
