꒦‧₊ ꒷ HEADCANNONS: team stan reacting to yn being in the hospital✧.*
✧.* tags: superhero au, college au
✧.* Characters: stan marsh, kyle broflovski, kenny mccromick, butters stotch
a/n: i ran into a bit of a wall with team craig but i'm going to give it another go tomorrow!
masterlist
Stan:
You send him a text saying you won’t be at the next dnd session because your in the hospital with a broken rib
Straight up just says “I’m sorry”
Nothing else. He doesn’t know how to talk to people.
You saw him dealing with kenny dying, he does NOT know what to say
He’s freaking the fuck out though irl. Are you okay? What if you aren’t okay? What is he going to do if you aren’t okay?
He comes to visit you when you tell Kenny and Kyle and they DRAG him into the room
He got you a giant fucking basket of random stuff that doesn’t really apply to you but you appreciate it nonetheless
“Are there any broken rib vitamins in here?”
“Those are a thing? I didn’t realize they made those. I can go grab some right now-”
“I fucking with you, dude. Thank you for the basket :)”
Kenny:
You’re talking to him normally, chatting about your day
Then he asks if you want to get pizza, smoke, and watch Rango
“Oh sorry, I’m in the hospital rn so probably not tonight"
"WHAT???"
"yeah my bus was hit by the stampede of cows from the villain attack yesterday"
You get no response
But that’s because 5 minutes later, kenny is standing in the doorway of your hospital room with a slushie from 7/11 in hand
It was the only thing he thought to get you (because who doesn’t love a slushie?)
You’ve got a few bruises and a hairline fracture on your ankle but Kenny acts like you are on death’s door
“Just don’t go towards the light”
“If you really thought I was dying, you should’ve brought me more than slushie.”
“Should I have brought 2 slushies?”
Becomes your personal errand boy until you’ve recovered.
Hungry? He’s got your grocery list and a recipe printed out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Bored? Time for a movie marathon.
Need help with class? He’s dragging kyle down the hall for whatever you may need.
Butters:
He was there when you got hurt because you were trying to film a fight and the coon miscalculated his landing spot, landing on a bunch of trash cans and sending a lid hurtling towards you
Obviously as butters, he’d rush over and help you
But he was PROFESSOR CHAOS
And what is more chaotic than a civilian being included in the battle?
But this wasn’t any civilian, it was YOU
And he’ll ground HIMSELF if he lets someone get away with hurting you >:(
He’d shout out a “TIME OUT” which mainly just confuses everyone (as any agent of chaos would do)
But it’s enough time for him to grab you and run away from the fight to his LAIR OF CHAOS where general disarray is able to give you a check up
After working with chaos for a few years, general disarray realized there needed to be someone with medical training so he took a few courses at the community center and now he’s on his way to being a registered nurse!
Doesn’t stop apologizing even though you tell him it wasn’t his fault.
Takes all of his stuffed animals from his bed and brings them over to you so you’re not alone while you wait for Disarray to give you the go ahead to go home
Kyle
Probably asking why you weren’t in class and you tell him you’re in the hospital
Thinks it’s a joke at first
But you send him a picture of you hooked up to the heart monitor
The coon had used you as a human shield during a fight with a villain and you ended up getting hit with an energy blast by Solar Flare (bebe’s supervillain persona hehe)
He calls you instantly
“I’m going to kill him.”
“Don’t kill him, kyle”
“Too late. I'm killing him. This is too fucking far.”
“Aw you care 🙂”
“No i just needed a reason to finally put that fucker in the ground.”
“Oh sure, just be mean to the person hooked up to fucking life support”
“YOU'RE ON LIFE SUPPORT?!”
“No, I just wanted to see how you’d react.”
“When i’m done killing cartman, you’re next.”
Spoiler alert: he was joking.
He brings you flowers and a sudoku probably
And the notes from the class you missed like the absolute king he is
Talks to the doctor when you get discharged and basically becomes a live-in nurse
“The doctor said you need to limit your screen time while you recover. Do your crossword instead”
Okay fucking MOM
Just kidding it’s sweet

birthday fic but belated
@timmys-and-scribbles i love you and i am sorry in advance if this is long and cheesy but
1. that’s julian and
2. that’s just showbiz babey
happy belated birthday bestie i hope you enjoy
“No, you don’t understand! Please, I’ll-- I’ll beg on my knees if I have to!”
Julian could be seen, and probably heard, from a block away pleading a poor man operating a gondola on the canal, and it didn’t look much like the man was giving in to him either.
The man shook his head, planting his hands on his hips. “You-- you don’t have to get on your knees. But I still can’t do it, I’m sorry. It’s too short notice.”
The sob that came from the redhead next was anything but subtle, and he shoved his face in his hands. “Please. Please, sir, everyone else has cancelled on me. Don’t you want to be the minority?? Wouldn’t that be a more interesting story for you?? Please, I’ll pay double, I just need this ride tonight. It doesn’t have to be all night, even just an hour if I could--”
The gondola rower rolled his eyes. The dramatics were a bit much, but Julian had good selling points. “Fine! Fine, if it means you’ll leave me alone and I can get back to work, I’ll do it for double.”
Julian almost screamed in excitement, and grabbed the man by his shoulders. He gave him a little shake, beaming a smile from ear to ear. “Thank you! Thank you, you’ve saved me. Thank you. I’ll see you in a few hours!”
--
After having shaken this man nearly to death, Julian decided it was time to start grocery shopping. If he was going to plan the perfect dinner for his perfect partner in crime, he wanted to have the perfect ingredients. After all, a pirate couldn’t ask someone to court him if he didn’t at least offer food and drink. . . right?
He didn’t want to stress about it. This day was already a long time coming, but every time he thought he’d worked up the courage, he found it all lost again when Julianne teased him, or plotted with him another sneaky escapade. This woman definitely, without realizing, always kept him on his toes. And he wanted to return the favor, at least for tonight. Besides, a fun date never hurt anybody, even if he didn’t wind up asking her to be his girlfriend.
The doctor spent about an hour or so shopping around for a dinner worth remembering. It took some time thinking of recipes he knew from the top of his head, but he settled on something fond from his childhood. Something Mazelinka almost always made, and almost everyone always liked it: soup. You couldn’t go wrong with a perfect soup dish paired with bread. Plus, looking for fresh ingredients and bartering with the merchants kept his mind off of the pent up anxiety he was feeling about everything. At least a dinner he was making by himself couldn’t be cancelled last minute.
He’d finally settled on everything he needed, and was beginning to head back to the ship. He was carelessly swinging his bags back and forth, whistling a merry little tune to keep him in high spirits.
The high spirits lasted all of five minutes to keep his mind off his worries.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Julianne, speaking to a familiar baker about eating some lunch. She was ordering some food when she caught him out of the corner of her eye, and excitedly called him over.
Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no.
She wouldn’t notice the bags, right? Of course she’d notice the bags. But he could just pass it off as stuff for the crew! Or maybe he could just pretend as if he didn’t see her--
Of course he couldn’t do that.
Awkwardly, he put his arms behind his back, the bags hanging over them. He gave a strange smile and headed toward Juli, giving a head nod of acknowledgement.
“Heyyyyyyyy... how are, uh-- whatcha up to?”
The woman raised a brow, a smile on her lips as she had just finished joking with the baker. “I’m........ ordering food. Why are you being weird?”
Uh oh.
Julian gave a dismissive ‘psh”, his face turning into an expression of confusion. “I’m not being weird. You’re weird for asking that, Juli. Anyway, what’s on the menu? What’s, uh, what’s for lunch?”
Julianne immediately knew something was up, but she wouldn’t press him about it until later. For now, she’d give him a bit of a hard time about it to see if he’d spill. “Food. Looks like,” she leaned over a bit, just a small part of his groceries in view, “you also have food on the menu.”
He leaned the opposite way, trying to make the bags less noticeable from her angle. “Oh. Oh! These, right. Yeah, Cap sent me out for errands today. You know those men, uh, always hungry! Yeah, can’t go forever without snacking, even if there’s only four of them on ship!”
A small laugh came from Juli. Yeah, she’d have to find out later. “Right. Well, I have to go eat before I go back to my own errands. Would you like to join?”
Why’d she have to be so sweet?? It made him all the more nervous, and he wasn’t being a very convincing actor at the moment. “Oh, I wish I could, darling! But Cap has been on my ass this morning about staying on task! We all know how, um, fleeting time is! I’ve gotta go, don’t worry about me, I’ll see you later on board, right?”
Her eyebrow still raised, she adjusted her own bag and nodded. “Ri--”
“Okay! Perfect! Amazing, and even perfect, you could say. Oh. Wait, I said perfect twice. Anyway, farewell! See you tonight.”
Juli watched as Julian walked away backward, still trying to hide his groceries. As he finally got further away, he tried turning away quickly to take off running, but accidentally bumped into a busy woman passing by. He apologized promptly and profusely, making sure she was at least okay before taking off again.
Yeah, he was up to something.
--
It finally had gotten darker outside, the sun setting as Julian strode back toward the boat. After a few hours, he had prepared dinner, finalized the gondola plans, and had even set up an nice surprise afterward to make sure everything was picture perfect. As if he hadn’t used the word ‘perfect’ to describe what he was going for all day. With his hands in his pockets, he’d finally settled down on his way back toward the ship, fairly confident in how the night would go.. at least for now.
As he got closer to his familiar home of sorts, excited to meet Julianne and to get the night started after all this planning he’d done, Julian stops aboard the ramp of the ship, watching as Juli was mid-conversation with his crewmate and co-captain, Gerard.
Damn it. Here we go.
Forcing a smile, he stepped closer to hear their conversation.
A hearty laugh came from the crewmate, one that sounded incredibly devious to Julian’s desperate ears. “He really lied to your face like that, Miss Juli? Ah, you know I’d never treat you that way~”
Shut up. Shut up, Gerry. Not tonight.
Julianne would have been seen to smirk, rolling her eyes. “It’s not that he lied maliciously. I’ll still get him back for lying. But I know he’s doing something behind my back. I’m just confused as to what it is.”
Gerard leaned back against the rail of the ship, giving a nonchalant shrug. “Still. You know, it’s taken him far too long to commit to you. Maybe it’s time you give the ol’ captain a try. I,” a puff of his chest, and he placed his hand upon his heart, “wouldn’t have made you wait this long for me to meet up after lying to you, maiden.”
It was taking everything in Julian to not barge into their conversation immediately. The confidence he’d built on the way back was slowly diminishing, but he’d wait a few more seconds to see where this conversation went.
“Co-captain, Gerard.” Julianne shook her head in amusement, also taking a seat on a nearby barrel. Might as well make herself comfortable as she waited. “How would Zora feel if she heard you giving yourself all the credit?”
“Hopefully very, very awfully.” Gerard chuckled as he ran his fingers through his hair. “But my point remains. See how he still isn’t here? That just proves my--”
If Julian wasn’t known for dramatic entrances, then the sky wasn’t known to be blue. As if on cue, interrupting Gerard as he tried to make his “point” was easy as pie for Julian, and he climbed aboard with the biggest, most confident grin he could muster to save face. “Julianne, my love!” He greeted as if she were the biggest and most important guest he could ever serve, stepping between the two to swoop her into a hug. “I’m terribly sorry it took me so long to get back! I got caught in a scuffle between two men arguing, and you know I can’t resist a good fight.” The last lines were said between almost-gritted teeth, and Julianne pulled away from his hug reluctantly.
Like her expression was before at the marketplace, she had her eyebrow raised in suspicion. “Is that so? They didn’t happen to also be the ones to eat your snacks, were they?”
Gerard chuckled from behind, making himself comfortable both physically and in conversation. “I’d say Ilyushka has a bit of a hole to dig himself out of here, hmm?”
Begrudgingly, Julian turned to look at Gerard with the same forced smile.
“Don’t you have a hole to dig yourself into, co-captain? Go find some buried treasure.”
A laugh from the man, as well as a clever reply, “Ah, but why would I go search for one when there’s one perfectly right before my eyes?” He flashed a smile in Julianne’s direction, and then gave an innocent, seemingly curious head tilt to Julian. “Oh, unless you couldn’t see that for yourself. It seems that eyepatch gets in the way of you looking past yourself and seeing what’s in front of you.”
The smirk began to fall from the redhead’s face, and he tried not to ball up a fist onto his friend right about now. In the end, he knew Gerry was teasing, but it didn’t make the blow less hard on his ego.
Julianne wasn’t naive to the tension; she started to make off-topic conversation. “I think Gerard is talking about the wine that Zora brought back after making a deal with the bartender down the street. Something about bringing back some of that Salty Bitters stuff from Vesuvia that you like so much. He wanted to advertise something new.”
“Right. The wine is the treasure I was talking about.” A final chuckle from Gerard and he stood, clapping a hand against Julian’s shoulder. “Save me some dessert, Ilya. You know where my room is. Send her my way.”
“Bye, Gerry. Have a good night.” Julian pulled away slightly, looking his friend up and down.
Gerard gave a hum of triumph, and pulled his hand away. On his way toward the steps downstairs, he gave a final “You know I will.” in reply.
Once he was finally out of view, Julian deemed it safe to turn back to Juli for conversation. “I am.... so, so sorry, Juli. I know you’ve been waiting for a while.”
“I know you heard the conversation with Gerard.” She replied, placing her hands upon his shoulders. “I’ve been here for a whole of ten minutes. You know how he is. Dramatic.”
He gave a soft scoff in return, rolling his eyes. “More than I am sometimes.”
With a laugh, Julianne pulled her hands away, but not before giving him a gentle pat to the face. “Not quite.” Getting up from the seat she’d made herself, she patted down the dirt that’d gotten on her dress from doing so. “Anyway, are you finally done acting weird, or are you going to keep me on my toes.”
“Well.......” Julian gave a shrug, “Hopefully the latter. But not in a bad way, I swear. I do.”
The woman only gave him a pointed glare in response. In defense, he gently took hold of her hand, and began to lead her off the ship.
“Here. Just follow me.”
--
The doctor had finally gotten Juli all to himself. After all the shenanigans of the day, he could finally wind down and listen to her talk about her day. Her errands, odd customers, the odds and ends of magic that he enjoyed listening to her go on and on about. It was what gave him some sense of normalcy among the absurdity that he endured on the regular. The gondola ride had gone smoothly, and he had definitely given the rower far more than he was worth. If not just for the theatrics and the experience, he hoped that Juli enjoyed it. Maybe she’d grown suspicious of him throughout the day, but he wanted to make it up to her.
They talked about a woman who’d called Julianne in to help cleanse her home, not knowing the “cleanse” wasn’t anything spiritual -- it was because the woman had attempted far too many cleaning spells and caused an overgrowth in weeds in her garden and magic cobwebs in her corners. Julianne had to explain that “cleansing” a house didn’t actually mean to clean it.
How cute. How cute, how cute.
An hour or so had gone by, and after their ride, they both thanked the rower tremendously. They’d even gotten a complimentary bottle of wine and a basket of fruit -- or maybe the rower was being kind since Julian had paid him so handsomely.
Then, he took Julianne back toward the shore.
He had taken hold of her hand and not let go, leading her down the beach close to the docks their ship had stopped on. He was sure she probably thought something odd was going to happen by the end of the night, but he wanted to make sure she enjoyed her time nonetheless.
As they walked, he made soft conversation.
“You know, the ocean is a view I could never get sick of. It’s so beautiful. And when the moonlight hits it just right--” he gave a chef’s kiss of sorts with his free hand.
“I guess that’s a good thing, considering you’re on a ship the majority of your time.” Juli teased, giving him a gentle nudge. “But I think so too. It’s very captivating. Calming, even.”
“Like you, hmm?” Turning his gaze from the ocean to Juli, he gave a wink.
With a fond roll of her eyes, she laughed a little. “You’re still being weird.”
“What? No. This is just regular ol’ Ilya.”
“Yeah. Weird.”
He grinned in turn, a grin full of absolute adoration. It was getting easier to rebuild that confidence from earlier.
They continued their playful banter, all the way up until hey reached a hidden little cove, a tucked away cave of sorts, with a light shining from within. They were far away enough now that the lamps in town seemed like blur now, and Julian preferred it that way for what he had been planning.
Julianne stopped, looking up at her partner with a confused expression. “What’s this?”
He let go of her hand, make sure he didn’t seem as if he were coming off maliciously. They had met, after all, under the guise that he was a murderer on the run. Julian offered one of his grins, the sweet kind, the kind that made you want to follow him into the unknown on an adventure you wouldn’t want to return from.
“Just dinner. You trust me, right? You don’t still think I’m a weirdo?”
“Well. I definitely do.”
A laugh came from Julian, and he just shook his head. He continued forward into the cave, giving her a nod to follow.
She did, and as they entered, a small table Julian had stolen off the ship was sitting in the middle of the cave, lit candles surrounding it in the sand below to keep light inside. On the table sat dinner: two bowls covered to stay warm, bread on either side of them, a great big glass of wine in the center of the table, and two glasses for one each.
With a great big swoop of his arm, he gestured toward the set up with a smile.
“Well, here’s the thing I was acting strange about. I just wanted... to set up something nice for the both of us.”
After her jaw had dropped at the initial shock, Juli turned to the man with a growing smile, and she genuinely looked impressed. “I’m surprised you could keep a secret this long.” Although she teased, she found his dinner setup rather charming. Nothing short of the extravagance he made for himself since the day she met him.
He continued forward once more, pulling one of the chairs out for her to sit. Once she was seated, he also took a seat, and began to pour them each a glass of wine to drink.
“Also, I stole this wine. This is the one Zora brought back, and Gerard is probably looking for now. Serves him right trying to steal my thunder.”
The woman laughs, reaching for her glass once it’s filled. “They’re going to kill you.”
He shrugged yet again, his signature smirk puling at his lips. “Worth it, if not just for the thrill of the escape.”
As Julian reached to uncover the bowls, a warm, earthy and flavorful aroma takes over the cave, and he explains his escapade to gather ingredients. Making the food proved to be a pain, having to bribe the ship’s cook to let him take over the kitchen to prepare their food, and to help him set everything up while he was out on the gondola ride with Julianne. He talked about how he now owed the cook kitchen duty for a week, and had to scrub the inside of the old hearth to make up for it. But it was worth it for him, to see how much she enjoyed his childhood favorite food. All the more memories to create, even if it was just soup.
Throughout dinner, it seemed as though Julian had about finished off the bottle of wine by himself. He was getting a little tipsy, and a bit more nervous toward the end of them eating. If only he had more liquid courage to help him out.
Julianne noticed how awkward he’d begun to get as dinner went on. When they finally cleared their bowls, he started going on about the importance of the correct shoes in acting. Something was up.
She reached for his hands, which were getting ready to pour the last few drops of alcohol into his glass.
“Ilya, tell me what’s the matter.” Her voice was soft compared to his big, velvety tone. He couldn’t help himself, not in this state of mind.
“I- no, nothing’s the matter! I’m just saying, how can you frolic about in a tunic and boots? Sure they look great for the aesthetic and for the costume, but you need the smaller and more rounded shoes to move around the stage more fleetly.”
“You’re talking about shoes, Julian, after we just had a nice dinner in a fancy set up in a remote cave.” She laughed a little at the situation, and gave his hands a little squeeze. “Tell me what’s on your mind.”
She was right. And he knew that she was. He hadn’t spent all day preparing for this moment to talk about how quick your movements need to be on stage. He had put all of this off long enough. Hell, for months. He was surprised she’d even stuck around that long, unless she thought this was all totally platonic.
“Yeah. Yes. Yes, there-- there is something I have on my mind.” He let out a slow sigh, mentally preparing himself for his little speech. He knew that she would listen to every word, even if he slurred and stuttered his way through it. Her touch gave him a bit of sobering up, and in turn, he moved his hands to grab hers instead, leaning in closer to her presence.
“I.. hm. I’ve known you for quite a while now. And, for some reason, it feels like I’ve known you far longer than the several months we’ve been adventuring together. I don’t even know if that’s what you’d call it-- never mind. Regardless, darling, it feels like I’ve known you longer than a lifetime. Like I’ve known you since a life too distant to remember. And you... Julianne, you just seem so familiar. You met me thinking that I was a murderer. A fugitive. And even then, even after you thought I was using you, you stuck. You stuck with me. Up until then, I struggled so hard to find something like home. You gave me a chance, and I can tell you haven’t regretted it thus far. I just... don’t ever want to have to just remember you again. I want you to stick around. You’re perfect to be around. My perfect adventuring find. My... my perfect partner. We’ve never made any official call for what this is, and... I know this is all so ridiculous and grandiose and seems like some sort of proposal. In... in a way, it is. I just--” he lets his head fall, and he takes a pause, before he looked back up into Julianne’s face. “Please, little dove, would you give a pirate a chance and just call yourself mine already?”
...
Julianne, flustered, and unsure of how to respond in the immediate moment, searched Julian’s eyes for his genuine feelings. It was a long search -- after all, he’d just poured his onto the table, practically. This wasn’t at all a surprise, they had in fact been in some rut of infatuation without ever having admitted it to one another. It was always just implied. But here they were now, Julian basking in all of his monologuing glory...
Before she could respond, he was quick to make a joke, giving her hands a squeeze as she did his before he had come clean. “Plus, now I’m less likely to get in trouble for starting a fight with Gerard, seeing as how we’d be an official couple rather than just flirting, fleeting friends.”
Julianne shook her head, letting it fall as she let out a laugh. “You... are quite simply the most unbearable person I’ve ever met. In the best way possible.” Looking back up, he simply gave a friendly and teasing shrug in response, and she leaned in to seal the space between them with a kiss.
It wasn’t long before it grew passionate, one full of longing and hope from both of them. It would be hard for Julian to pull away, had he not been wait for a response. Before he let the kiss get carried away, he pulled back, a hand pressed to Juli’s face.
“So?”
She looked him in the eyes, lifted a hand toward his face, and promptly gave him a flick to the nose.
“Ow!?” His brow furrowed, “What was that for??”
“For lying to my face earlier. I just needed you to know I didn’t forget.”
A huffy laugh came from the redhead as he reached to rub at his nose, now stinging slightly in pain. “Alright. Noted.”
She offered a final, soft smile, reaching to gently swipe her thumb over his nose in comfort. The woman then reached in for a soft peck. “I’ll be your girlfriend, Ilya. Or rather, your co-captain.”
Julian beamed taking her face into both of his hands. “Oh, I’m so glad. As co-captain, can your first duty be to teach me an adjective other than ‘perfect’? I’m a doctor, not a novelist.”
“Sure. But only if you teach me one rather than ‘weird’,” Juli offered in reply.
“Good, good. But uh, can we wait until after dessert?”
“Didn’t Gerard ask you to save him some?”
“Oh, no. Gerry can starve. I’m sneaking dessert back into my room.”

Chapter 5
Thankfully the rest of the week went pretty quickly. Friday morning, Ava was a ball of excited energy for dinner with Andy and Jacob. She wasn’t the only one. You couldn’t wait either.
Unfortunately, throughout the day you were inundated with texts and calls from your ex, which set you on edge. You managed to make it to your lunch before you broke down and actually called Andy. You planned to just leave a voicemail, as you were sure he was busy. You were happily surprised when he picked up.
“Hey, Sweetheart.” He said, “Are you on lunch? How’s your day going?”
“Yeah.” You said, “It’s much better now that I’m talking to you. I was just going to leave you a voicemail, but this is much better.”
“Everything ok?” He asked, concerned, “And unless I’m in court, I’ll always answer for you.”
“I’ve been getting a lot of texts and calls today from the ex.” You replied, shakily, “It’s just getting to me. It’s exhausting.”
“Forward me the messages,” he said, “I promise you, this will be over soon. In the meantime, we have tonight and tomorrow night together to look forward to.”
“That’s what’s getting me through.” You replied, “I can’t wait to see you. Ava is beyond excited as well.”
“Only a few more hours.” He said, “I can’t wait to see you and Ava either. How about you both come over at 4:30. Gives you time to get her picked up and I’ll leave work early and meet you at my house.”
“Sounds perfect.” You agreed. “I’ll let you get back to work, and I’ll see you soon.”
“I’ll see you soon.” He said, “And you can call me whenever you need to.”
The rest of the day went smoother. The calls and texts tapered down so you were at least able to focus. Once your last class was finished, you wrapped up some last minute emails to parents, then shut your laptop, grabbed your stuff and headed out of the building.
You got Ava picked up from school and headed home to change before going to Andy’s. Ava insisted on wearing her Elsa pajamas, even though you repeatedly told her it was not a sleepover. One thing you were sure of, the child was headstrong. You changed into jeans and a lighter weight sweater. It was starting to get cooler, especially at night.
You arrived at Andy’s and parked behind his black Audi. Getting out of your car, you made your way around to get Ava out and the two of you walked up to the front door. Andy was already there waiting with the door open, smiling at the two of you.
“Hi Andy!” Ava exclaimed, bounding up the step and throwing her arms around him. He hugged her back, smiling at you over her head.
“Hey, Princess.” He said, “I hope you’re hungry. We’ve got lots of pizza on the way, and enough snacks to rival the movie theater.”
“I’m starving.” she confirmed, beaming up at Andy. “Where’s Jacob?”
“Right here” He said, coming up behind his dad. “Come on, let’s steak out the best seats for the movie.” Jacob reaches for Ava’s hand, helping her into the house.
“Hey, Beautiful.” Andy said smiling at you, “Come here.” He gently pulled you up the step into the house and into his arms. You felt your whole body relax into his embrace. The stress of the week and everything with your ex melting away.
“That was exactly what I needed.” you said smiling up at him, “Thank you.”
“If I’m being honest, I needed it too,” He replied, “It was a long day. I was more than happy to leave it all behind. Come on, let’s go inside, I’ve got wine or beer. You’ve earned it.”
Andy led you into the house and to the kitchen. It was a very nice house from what you saw of it so far. It was definitely larger than yours. Surprisingly, it looked very homey, not the bachelor pad you were expecting with two males living there. Jacob and Ava were seated in what looked like oversized bean bag chairs on the living room floor flipping through Disney+, deciding on which movie to watch. It was cute that Jacob was patiently flipping through them all, even though everyone knew the choice would be Frozen.
You’d decided beer sounded better for the evening, especially with pizza coming. You and Andy sat at the island in the kitchen sipping your beer, enjoying each other’s company while you waited for dinner to arrive.
“I wasn’t sure where you’d like to go tomorrow night, but some of the other lawyers at the firm suggested the new sushi and steak restaurant KoFusion. I made reservations but we can always go somewhere else if you’d prefer.” Andy said, taking a sip of his beer.
“That sounds perfect.” You replied, smiling. “I’ve actually been wanting to try it, but Ava isn’t really open to trying sushi or steak.”
“I don’t think I would have been much for them either at her age.” He laughed, “Jake may eat steak now, but I doubt I’d ever get him to try sushi.”
“I was planning on making them a mini taco bar for dinner.” You said, “It’s easy to make.”
“I know Jake loves tacos so he’ll be happy.” He replies.
The doorbell rang, signaling dinner’s arrival. Andy grabbed the pizza and paid the delivery person, bringing the pizza back to the kitchen. We loaded up plates for everyone, grabbed drinks for the kids and brought it all to the living room.
“We’re going to watch Frozen!” Ava declared, “Jacob said they haven’t seen it yet!”
“We were just hoping to get to watch it with you, Princess Ava.” Andy said smiling and winking at Ava, while handing Jacob his pizza.
“Be careful, Monkey.” I told her, handing her a plate.
“Mommy, I want a Princess party this year for my birthday!” Ava said, “And I want Jacob and Andy to come to my party!”
“When is your birthday, Ava?” Jacob asked.
“November 6th!” Ava said excitedly, “And guess WHAT?”
“What?” Jacob humored her smiling.
“I’ll be 6 years old!” She replied, “Mommy said it’s special because it’s my golden birthday!”
“That is very special, Ava!” Andy said, “We’d love to come to your extra special princess party.”
“We’ll go get the invitations next week and fill them out so you can pass them out to your friends.” You told her, “
Jacob starte the movie and we all watched while eating our dinner. Once everyone was finished, you stacked the plates on the coffee table until the movie was over. Andy scooted closer to you on the couch, pulling you into him. His arm was round you and relaxed against him, enjoying just being with him.
Halfway through the movie, Andy paused it and declared it was ice cream sundae time. Everyone went to the kitchen and built their own sundae before carrying it back to the living room to resume the movie.
After the movie was over you helped Andy to carry all of the dishes to the kitchen. You offered to help him with the dishes but he said he’d have Jacob help later. Ava was starting to get sleepy, so you got her tucked into the car and said goodnight to both Andy and Jacob. You were definitely looking forward to your date the next night.
“Drive safe and text me when you get home.” Andy said leaning in to kiss you gently through the driver’s side window.
“I promise” you replied, smiling.
By the time you got home, Ava was fast asleep. It was a good thing she’d worn her pajamas afterall. You didn’t want to wake her enough to brush her teeth, you figured one night wouldn’t hurt. Thankfully, she was still light enough you were able to carry her into the house and get her tucked into her bed. Once you finished that you text Andy to let him know you made it home. You exchanged a few more texts back and forth and then you too, decided to call it a night.
You spend most of Saturday getting errands run and household chores you’d neglected over the week completed. Ava spent a few hours with your parents while you got everything done. They were used to getting to spend time together on the weekends. Later afternoon you swung by to pick her up so that you could go home and get ready for your date.
“She’s welcome to spend the night here if you want, Sweetheart.” Your mom said, “That way you don’t have to rush home from your date.”
“Jacob is coming to the house to hang out with her while Andy and I go out.” You replied, “Those two are thick as thieves already.”
“All we heard about today was Jacob and Andy.” Your mom said smiling, “I can’t wait to meet them. Just be careful, Bri. I’d hate for Ava to get attached just to get her heart broken. You too for that matter.”
“I wouldn’t let her get attached if I wasn’t sure about this, Momma.” You reassure her, “I know it seems fast, and really, it is, but the connection is there… and it’s strong. Wait until you meet them, you’ll see.”
“How about you bring them over Sunday for a family dinner.” Your mom suggests.
“I can ask him.” You replied, “If this Sunday doesn’t work, we can always schedule for next week.”
“Just let me know.” she said.
Ava came in with her jacket already on, bouncing in excitement.
“Come on Mommy! Andy and Jacob are coming over soon!” She said. She ran and gave your parents hugs, “Bye Nana and Papa! I love you!”
“I’ve ever seen her in such a hurry to leave us before.” Your dad pouted, “We’ve got competition now, Honey.”
“That we do.” Your mom laughed, “Have fun tonight Baby doll! You can tell me all about your fun night with Jacob tomorrow, ok?”
“I will! And Mommy can tell you about her date with Andy!”
“I can’t wait.” Your mom said, winking at you.
“Love you both” You said, “I’ll call you about dinner.”
“Have fun, Sweetheart,” She said,”I’m really happy you’re getting back out there.”
Ava was already in her seat and buckled when you got to the car. On the ride home you glanced in the rearview mirror to look at Ava and noticed the same car had been behind you for several blocks. You shrugged figuring it was nothing and continued on your way home.
Once you pulled into your driveway and parked, you got Ava out and the two of you headed inside. She immediately started setting up the living room for a movie and game night. Poor Jacob would be kept busy for sure.
You decided it made more sense to get the taco meat cooked up and veggies chopped before getting ready, so you got to work on that while Ava was setting up the living room. She finished before you and came into the kitchen while you were getting everything ready.
“Mommy, can I have a snack?” She asked.
“There are apple slices and grapes in the fridge,”You told her, “Grab a bowl and you can put some fruit in it.”
“OK!” She carefully grabbed one of her bowls from the cupboard on the island and went to the fridge.
Twenty minutes later, all of the food was prepped and the taco meat was finished. You settled Ava on your bed with her tablet geared up to one of her learning games and you started looking through your closet to decide what to wear.
“Mommy,” Ava said looking up from her tablet, “You should wear the pretty blue dress you wore to Nana and Papa’s party. Andy wears blue lots, I think it’s his favorite.”
“You think so?” You asked, smiling, “I like that dress a lot too. I think I will wear it! Thank you my sweet Monkey!”
She beamed then went back to playing her game as you quickly changed into the dress. It was a short sleeved, chiffon fit and flare dress, simple yet elegant. Most importantly, it was comfortable so you wouldn’t be readjusting it all night. You chose the diamond pendant necklace your parents gave you when you graduated college, and a pair of silver drop earrings to match. Once you were dressed, you went into your bathroom and did your makeup. You decided to leave your hair down, but quickly took the curling iron to it give it a little bounce. Finally you were as ready as you were going to get.
Satisfied with the end result, you finally stepped out of the bathroom.
“You look pretty, Mommy!” Ava said, “Is it almost time for Jacob to come?”
“Almost!” You confirmed, “And thank you, Monkey. Let’s go downstairs, I need to check my phone.”
Ava made herself comfortable on the couch, while you went to your phone. You had several messages from your ex. You chose to ignore them for now. You didn’t want anything to ruin the night with Andy. You had one message from Andy, which you tapped to open.
Andy: We’re leaving now, be there shortly. See you soon. XX
You checked the time stamp and the current time and realized they’d be here any minute.
“Mommy! They’re HERE!” Ava exclaimed, launching herself off of the chair by the window where she’d apparently taken up watch.
“Give them a moment to get to the door, Monkey” You laughed, “Don’t go flying out of the house.”
You started to head to the door to open, but Ava flew past and beat you to the door. She remembered to look back and check that it was OK for her to open the door. Once you’d given permission she quickly pulled the door open. Andy and Jacob were just getting to the door.
“Hi Jacob!” she greeted him, happily, before launching herself at him to hug him. Jacob chuckled, bending down a bit to hug her back.
“Hey Ava!” He replied, “Ready to watch movies, eat junk food and stay up past your bedtime?”
“YES!” She confirmed, “Can you always be my babysitter? Not even Nana and Papa let me do all that!”
“I’m not sure you’re supposed to reveal your master plan while the parents are present, Jake.” Andy laughed.
“Hi Andy!” Ava said, breaking away from Jacob to hug him, then looking at the button up dress shirt he wore, added, “I knew blue was your favorite color! I told Mommy to wear the blue dress because she would be pretty and it was your favorite color!”
“Blue is my favorite color,” He confirmed smiling at her, then looking up at you, he said, “And your mommy looks beautiful.”
“Told you, Mommy!” Ava beamed, happy having helped you out.
“You did tell me, Monkey.” You replied smiling, then to Andy said, “You’re looking pretty handsome yourself.”
“Ok, Ava,” Jacob said, playfully rolling his eyes, “Let’s get away from these two.” The pair headed into the living room, Ava already chatting a mile a minute.
“Hey, Sweetheart.” Andy smiled, stepping into the house, and closing the door. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in close and dropping a quick kiss onto your lips.
“Hi.” You replied, smiling up at him, “Looks like we’ve learned how to clear the kids out of a room.”
“That’s going to be a handy skill to have.” He agreed, laughing. You both made your way into the living room where the kids were.
“Ok, the tacos are all ready to go, although you may want to reheat the meat. There are drinks in the fridge. Ava knows where all of the snacks are. Just make sure she isn’t bouncing off the walls from too much sugar.” You laugh, “There are emergency numbers on the fridge. If you need anything, just call or text.”
“We’ll be fine” Jacob assured you, “I’ve got this. You guys go have fun and don’t worry. We’ll be having too much fun here to even miss you.”
“I’m feeling the love here.” You teased him. “I know you’ll be fine, I’m not worried in the slightest.”
After hugging them both, they pretty much shoved you and Andy out of the house.
Once you arrived at the restaurant, Andy quickly came around and opened your door. He held your hand as the two of you made your way into the restaurant, only separating for him to open the door and then his hand landed on your back, gently guiding you into the building. Once inside, he took your hand in his own again.
You were seated at a semi-private table toward the back of the restaurant. Your waiter took your orders for drinks and then left you to look over the menu.
“This all looks amazing.” You said, “How is anyone supposed to make a decision?”
“I was thinking the same thing” he laughed, “How about we get a variety and we can try it all?”
“That’s a brilliant idea.” You agreed.
The waiter returned with your drinks and you placed your orders. You took a sip of the wine to help calm your nerves. You weren’t nervous around Andy, just being on a date after not dating for over 5 years was causing a little anxiety.
“I haven’t been on a first date since college.” Andy said, as if reading your thoughts. “I have to say, this one is already far better.”
“I haven’t been on any date of any kind since before Ava was born.” You replied, “But I can say with certainty that this one is already better than any date I’d been on before that.”
“Here’s to many more dates together.” Andy said, raising his glass to you. You raised yours toasting.
“And possibly to last first dates.” You said, smiling.
“I’ll definitely drink to that.” He agreed, smiling back at you.
“Ava spent the morning with my parents while I was running errands and according to them she didn’t stop talking about you and Jacob.” You told him. “They offered to keep her tonight but she wasn’t trying to miss out on time with Jacob.”
“I think Jake would have been bummed to miss out on time with Ava too.” Andy said, “I think he really likes having someone look up to him.”
“They’re good for each other.” You agreed, “My mom invited you and Jacob to dinner tomorrow, I told her I’d pass along the invite. It feels weird to say that on a first date. You don’t have to accept, I know it’s really soon.”
“We’d love to.” Andy reassured you, “It might be soon by others’ standards, but I’ve had enough of living by others’ standards. I think we just need to do this our own way.”
“I like the sound of that.” You agree, “We can make our own standard.”
The waiter brought the dishes to the table. You and Andy enjoyed the variety of sushi, trying different kinds. Conversation continued to flow during dinner. It honestly felt like you’d been on many dates by the time you were finished eating.
“I don’t think our kids want us home yet, and I’m not ready for this date to end.” Andy said, “Do you want to go for a walk by the lake?”
“I’d love to.” You said, “I’m not ready to go home yet either.”
After paying the bill, Andy leads you out to where the car is parked. He opens your door for you, and you slide into the passenger seat. He quickly walks around to the driver’s side and gets in. The drive to the lake doesn’t take long and being pretty deserted, it’s easy to find parking. Andy once again comes around to open your door and offers his hand to help you out of the car.
You’re glad you thought to grab the lightweight sweater to wear with your dress. It provides enough cover to where you’re not going to get cold while enjoying time with Andy.
You make your way to the path that leads along the lake, Andy taking your hand in his, your fingers intertwining.
“I’m really enjoying the milder fall weather this year.” You said, “It’s been really nice to be able to be outside longer. I’m hoping it holds through Ava’s birthday before it gets cold.”
“I imagine it would be easier to hold the party outside as opposed to all of those kids inside the house.” He chuckled, “I’ve really loved the weather being so mild too. It allows me to go for walks by a lake with a beautiful woman.”
“Smooth, Mr. Barber.” You laughed, “And yes, holding the party outside would be much less of a headache.”
“I’m only stating facts, Sweetheart.” He smirked, “And whether the party is inside or out, Jake and I can help wrangle kids.”
“That would be most helpful.” You said, smiling.
The two of you continued to walk along the path, stopping when you arrived at a pier. Andy led you to the end where there was a bench and you both sat down, close to one another. He wrapped his arm around you, pulling you in close, and you relaxed into his side.
“I haven’t been this happy or relaxed in a long time.” Andy admitted. “Even before everything exploded with Jake and then after...with the accident… I wasn’t happy. I was trying. I wanted to be happy and to want the life we had, but it felt too forced. I can’t remember the last time I was happy. Meeting you and getting to know you better, has changed everything. I don’t know if I deserve to be happy, but I’m going to hold on to this.”
“You deserve to be happy, Andy.” You said, turning slightly so you could look into his eyes. “I thought I was happy with my ex, I thought I wanted to marry him, but once he walked out when I got pregnant, I realized that I wasn’t actually happy with him. I don’t know that I ever really loved him. Being with you though, makes me happy.”
His hand comes up to cup your face, his head lowering to yours. His lips connected with your own, his beard rubbing against your face. His tongue licked at the seam of your lips, asking for entry. You allowed him access, your own tongue snaking out to meet his. The kiss deepened, he pulled you closer into him, your arms wound around his middle. You continued to kiss until you finally had to break apart for air. His hand stayed cupping your face, his thumb brushing against your kiss swollen lips.
“Maybe we should have had your parents keep Ava,” Andy teased, his voice husky, “We could have continued this without a curfew.”
“Maybe next time,” You smiled, “Depriving Ava of Jacob wouldn’t have won you any points.”
“I wouldn’t want that.” He agreed, “I need her on my side.”
“I think you’re good on that front.” You assured him.
“As much as I would love to stay out here with you, we should probably start to head back.” Andy said, reluctantly.
“We probably should.” You agreed.
You walked back towards his car hand in hand. On the drive back to your house, Andy kept your hand in his own, driving one handed.
Once you arrived back at your house, Andy parked and came around to you. This time when he helped you out of the car, he pulled you into him and kissed you again.
“I can definitely get used to that.” You said, smiling.
“Me too.” He said. “Shall we head in to see what the kids are up to?”
You nodded, turning to head to the front door. As you turned, movement caught your eye on the street. You turned your head to investigate and felt your stomach drop. In the street light, you were able to see the same car that you’d thought had been following you yesterday. With the light, you were able to see the driver.
“Andy” You said shakily, “It’s him. That’s my ex in the car.”
“Are you sure?” He asked, turning quickly to see the driver before he drove off down the street.
“Yes.” You confirmed, “I think he followed me yesterday too.”
“Let’s go inside.” He said, guiding you up to the door.

*note: ↑ i came across this video and saw this comment by boogieedits (credits to parkchimn & boogieedits for the inspiration! 😍) and felt inspired by this wonderful plot! i’m inspired by the amazing video edit too! <3 i decided to give it a try and welp- truthfully i’m having writer’s block with my Full of Stars series that i might wanna take a break from it for a while until i figured what the next episode’s plot would be. for now, let’s enjoy this oneshot! 🥰 (extra note: several changes were made in this story and yes, the nickname might be a little cringy but i couldn’t think of a better pet name, so....bear with it, i guess 😅😂 also, Y/N’s angered replies are intended to have typos. i purposely did the typos in her texts bcs she was angry af :3)
The night was feeling empty. The streets were quiet and you had no idea where you were heading. You couldn’t believe that you actually managed to get out from your best friend, Suzie’s party that was filled with a lot of her drunken friends and thank God you successfully escaped, even though right now you were feeling a little tipsy due to the amount of alcohol you consumed earlier.
“Fucking Suzie,” you mumbled as you walked home. “telling me it was just a small party and she lied! Who would lie to their own friends?!” You have the habit of talking to yourself if you feel alone and that was what you were feeling right now, so alone in the streets and you were clueless. You felt the need to cry but what’s the whole point? No one was here to save you even if you did.
You were sure you weren’t dreaming or hallucinating at all but you heard footsteps were following you. As you turned around, you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, seeing as there was no one. When you turned around to walk again, the footsteps were heard. “HEY!” you yelled as you aggressively turned around. “don’t you dare follow me or I wouldn’t hesitate to call the cops!” You rolled your eyes in annoyance, mumbling to yourself again to make the uneasy feeling go away.
As you finally arrived home, you were struggling to grab the keys to unlock the door. At this very moment, the keys were tricking you; purposely tangling themselves with your pocket. “Are you kidding me?! I wanna get inside, you stupid keys!” You widened your eyes when you saw your older sister opening the door for you. How was she still awake at 2 a.m.?
“You look like a horrible mess.” Michelle commented, and you scoffed while pushing her away from the door as you went inside.
“Why are you still even awake anyway? Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping?” You were shaking your head while shutting your eyes to avoid that tipsy feeling.
“How can I sleep when I know my little sister wasn’t home yet? I was worried sick, you moronic bitch.” She shook her head, feeling disappointed with how you acted right now.
You were feeling sleepy and tired, so you decided to ignore her and went upstairs. Before you went to your room, you heard your sister yelling, “Yeah, go ahead and ignore me just like you always do to avoid conversations with me! I’ve had enough of babysitting you, Y/N! You’re so horrible!” You slammed the door before hearing any more of her complains.
Despite feeling so tired, you couldn’t sleep at all. You took the time to stare up at the ceiling instead, filling your head with numerous thoughts. But the thoughts stopped as you heard a Ding! on your phone. You read the texts and to your surprise, it was from an unknown number.
unknown [now]: sweet dreams, twinkle toes
unknown [now]: it took me nearly four years to pluck up the courage to text you
unknown [now]: and i can’t lie, i’m having butterflies
unknown [now]: you don’t know how many times i’ve dreamed of touching you
unknown [now]: by the way, go take a shower before you sleep 🌹
“What the hell?” You got up quick and scanned the whole area in your room, worrying that person who texted you might be in there. Hiding under your bed, maybe? You didn’t know whether to text this person back or not, or to block him but if you block him now, how would you know where he got your number from? ... or how would you know whether this person was a male or a female? So you decided to just leave it be for a while and reply this unknown person’s texts tomorrow. After this dreamland taking over your world, you were hoping that these texts were just all hallucinations due to tiredness.
••••••
....except that they were not hallucinations at all. You started to feel panic when you saw the messages were still there in your message box. Now it was your turn to build the courage to reply this person back.
you [now]: Who are you and how did you get my number?
Anxiety started to form inside you. You were supposed to run some errands today but with the situation you were facing right now, you were having doubts whether it was safe to go out there or not.
Your daydream of thoughts stopped when Michelle walked in to your room. “Y/N?” You raised your head up to look at her. “you feeling better now?”
You nodded, feeling hesitated as you knew that answer wasn’t true at all. You weren’t feeling any better, even after last night for being a little drunk but with this stalker texting you??? A whole new level of creepy started to scare you. You kept wondering how on Earth this person got your number.
“I baked you some cookies, just in case you were hungry and um,” she paused for a while. “I’m sorry for yelling at you last night. I didn’t mean to.”
These words shocked you. Her apology made you give her a look of astonishment. You and Michelle have been through it all; dramas over boys, arguing over little things and never once in your life you ever heard her saying sorry to you. This was so new, she finally apologized to you for the first time in her 25 years of living.
“I’m sorry for being an irresponsible bitch, Michelle. I didn’t mean it too.” She shook her head while smiling, walking towards you and gave you a hug to comfort you. Ding! And this person appeared again, stopping you from hugging your sister.
“Whoa, who’s texting you at an exact 8 a.m.?” Michelle teased while wiggling her eyebrows. You chuckled at her silly attitude, although this wasn’t supposed to be a happy situation at all. You were already feeling terrified as curiosity started filling itself in you, wondering what that person’s text might be.
“Probably just Suzie wanting to apologize too for being a lying turd.” You shrugged it off, chuckling alongside your sister. Michelle then walked out and you quickly locked the door, opening the stalker’s message.
unknown [3m ago]: you’ll know soon enough, twinkle toes 🥰
Twinkle toes??? Who the fuck does this person think he or she is? Calling me twinkle-fucking-toes? Your thoughts started to annoy you right now. You felt the need to slam something out of frustration, but you weren’t feeling like it anymore. You were still feeling scared because of this whole situation.
••••••
“Class dismissed!” Mr. Peterson announced when the bell rang. The whole Math class felt like a living nightmare. You were feeling sleepy the whole time but your attention was drifted off somewhere else.
When you walked outside the classroom to pack your stuff in your locker, you were stopped by Adrian. Adrian, the guy you knew had a crush on you since sophomore year. He was indeed cute; shaggy hair that really matched with his bright, green eyes and had a very nice personality that could make every girl fall in love with him. Unfortunately for Adrian, you weren’t one of those girls.
You’ve been taking the time to appreciate and love yourself for several years now. Your last relationship ended because that asshole cheated on and lied to you a lot of times, leading you to have trust issues and hence the reason why you didn’t wanna give Adrian a chance too. But Adrian, being a nice guy he was, stated that he’d wait for you no matter how long it might take.
“I brought your favorite snacks, Y/N. I hope we can eat lunch together today.” Adrian showed you your favorite snacks that were hidden in his brown bag. You softly smiled at how thoughtful Adrian really was.
“Thanks, Adrian. But um, I don’t think I wanna eat lunch today. I might just head home this afternoon. I’m not up for afternoon classes.” You felt bad for lying to him. Truthfully, you just wanted to investigate more about this stalker of yours.
His face was sad, but he seemed to understand. “Oh, okay.. are you okay, Y/N? You don’t look okay.” His voice was recognized with genuine concern.
“I’m having headache, that’s all. I need rest.” You scratched the back of your neck, feeling this conversation becoming awkward already. You were uncomfortable, your negative thoughts made you feel like this was an uncomfortable conversation to participate in.
Adrian nodded as he understood why, so he patted your back gently. You didn’t see it wrong, though. He wanted to kiss your forehead, but hesitant to do so since he knew that might be wrong. It was because he knew you didn’t feel the same for him.
••••••
{8.47 p.m. with Adrian walking in the streets alone}
Adrian was listening to music on his phone as he was on his way home from his friend’s house. But eventually stopped when he felt a sudden presence behind him. He turned around and it wasn’t there anymore. He shrugged it off, thinking it might have only been his imagination.
When he was singing along with the song he was listening to, the footsteps were closer and closer and suddenly, two strong hands grabbed Adrian’s hair and pulling him to the ground, kicking him hard and punching him numerous times.
This unknown person who punched Adrian was wearing a black mask, a black hoodie and ripped jeans that matched with a pair of motorcycle boots. Despite wearing a mask, his eyes sent deep, horrendous message. “If you ever touch Y/N again, I’ll make sure to have all of your bones broken so you can’t do anything in life anymore,” he aggressively grabbed Adrian’s collar this time. “Y/N is mine and mine alone. Don’t you fucking dare come near her.” He released it roughly, spitting on the spot of the ground next to Adrian and leaving him alone as he walked away. It was an unfortunate night for Adrian, no one was there to rescue him and call for help.
••••••
{10.11 p.m. in your room}
Ding! You groaned, knowing whose message this was from. You rolled your eyes as you read the person’s texts.
unknown [now]: i’m feeling so happy right now
unknown [now]: you have no idea how happy i really am 🥰
You shook your head and scoffed whilst reading them. Who even decided to care whether this unknown person was happy or not? Definitely not you.
you [now]: Lmao do I even care if you’re happy or not though? All I know is that you’re crazy
Ding!
unknown [now]: i am crazy indeed
unknown [now]: crazy about you
You groaned in annoyance at this unknown person’s response, not wanting to reply anymore. But then as you were about to place your phone on your side table, there was another notification from that person.
unknown [now]: i’m happy because soon enough, i’ll have you in my arms. no one’s gonna rescue you from me
“What the absolute fuck?” you got up and this time feeling so angry to the point you were having typos as you typed your words in all capital letters.
you [now]: GO FUCK YOURSELF WHOSVER YOU ARE, QUIT BUGFING
ME!!
you [now]: I’M GONNA BLOCK YOU NOW, YOU CNT DO THIS TO ME
Heaving a sigh, you grabbed a pillow and stuffed it on your face, screaming as loud as you intended.
Ding!
unknown [now]: you can try blocking me
unknown [now]: but i have a lot more phones that i’ve stolen and your number is saved in every phone i keep
unknown [now]: like i said, twinkle toes. no one’s gonna rescue you and take you away from me 😉
This time as your courage was already built, you dialed this person’s number but they quickly rejected your call. You tried again and you got the same result; your call was rejected.
you [now]: What’s the matter, huh? No balls to answer my call???
unknown [now]: i’m not going to make you hear my voice yet, princess. where’s the fun in that?
unknown [now]: i’m saving it for our date soon
you [now]: Screw you, you fucking creep
unknown [now]: damn, say that again
you [now]: FUCKING SCREW YOU!
unknown [now]: i’d love to be screwed by the one and only Y/N 😍
You were scared again. Not only this person secretly got your number, but he knew your name too! This was another whole new level of creepy!
You shut your phone off, not wanting to take this conversation further with that creeper. You closed your eyes tightly to move yourself in your dreamland, and thankfully, it was successful.
••••••
{Meanwhile at someone’s place}
He watched you through the one of the screens in his room. You had no idea about this at all, but this stalker had already placed a few cameras in your house. One specific camera he always watched was outside the window of your room so he could have a clearer and nicer view of your sleeping face.
“My God, she’s so beautiful,” he said as he attentively watched you sleeping. He was playing with his fingers as his eagerness started to bloom. He was starting to feel desperate now, wanting to touch you, wanting to hold you in his arms, wanting to kiss you until you’re unable to breathe.
“don’t worry, my Y/N. You’ll be in the arms of Jeon Jungkook’s soon.” Jungkook started to smirk with the dirty thoughts of you forming in his head. He really, really, really couldn’t wait to smother you with his kisses. ....once he catches you.
••••••
The next day at school felt so weird as you found Adrian absent. Adrian wasn’t the type of a person who’d miss a day at school, but today he decided to do that. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion as you looked around for him. Weird. Where is he? you thought.
Ding! “Gosh, what the fuck does he want now?!” You opened to see who the notification was from, but thankfully it was from Suzie.
suzie patootie [now]: bubs, wanna hangout tonight? mum’s having a date with her 5th boyf. house is free for us girls
you [now]: Girls night, eh? I’m on
This girls’ night was all you needed to avoid feeling scared as you were right now. Sure, you were feeling brave already to confront that person through messages but you were still scared too. What if that person was watching your every move right now and you weren’t aware of it?
••••••
You decided to head to grocery store to buy some foodies and drinks for your girls’ night. You didn’t bother to head home first to take a shower since you knew that this girls’ night would be a sleepless night for you, anyway.
As you walked out from the grocery store to head your way to Suzie’s home, the footsteps were heard again. You stopped your tracks. Oh no. What if this is that person? You were standing still and the footsteps stopped too. You didn’t care and you walked forward quickly and the footsteps got faster following you from behind.
You started running and the follower chased after you so quick until he finally caught you, locking you in his strong arms.
“Don’t run away from me, Y/N,” he whispered, placing a kiss on your earlobe and you started to cry. “didn’t I say I’d have you in my arms soon?”
Before you could scream, he covered your mouth quickly and dragged you backwards with him to an unknown place while holding you tightly.
“No one’s gonna save you. You’re all mine now, twinkle toes.”

Kakashi Hatake 18+ Part 1
WARNING 18 and up. Kakashi x Fem!reader
Part 1 of 2
Kakashi Hatake had known Y/N since they were kids. She was always the quiet girl. Instead of being a ninja though she became the owner of a bookstore. He visited her often. Every time he went to the store it was when she was there. Sometimes she would be off doing errands and he would just come back when she was there. Usually it was followed with excuses of why he waited until she was there. He didn’t like to admit he was helplessly in love with Y/N.
Standing in line, Kakashi was looking at Y/N as she talked to a customer about a book they were purchasing. Her smile was radiant as he got closer. Sending the customer away, her eyes scanned the crowd and landed on the next person in line: him. It was like the sun was reflecting off of her she was so bright as she saw Kakashi.
“Hey! I haven’t seen you in so long,” Her voice was butter in his ears.
He shifted uncomfortably as thoughts entered his head, “Yeah, I just got back from a mission with the three kids I’ve told you about.”
“Oh,” She ushered him forward, “How’d it go? Smooth I hope,”
He chuckled, putting his book in front of her, “When do they ever go smoothly?”
She shrugged with a giggle, “I see you’re reading the trilogy I recommended, how’d you like the first one?”
“It was a little... slow. But it had a nice build up to the steamier parts,” He said lowly.
Her smile was genuine and bright as she gave him the book once it was paid for, “I’m about to go on my lunch break, do you want to join me? It would be nice to catch up.”
He smiled at her. With his mask it only showed through his eyes but he nodded his head. Her soft, doe eyes looked through the crowd and grabbed the attention of a male worker. She told him to take over the counter and she bounced happily to Kakashi as he waited for her by the door. Kakashi couldn’t help but let his eyes go to her modestly covered boobs. She wore long sleeve turtle neck but her breasts were large enough to still be something to look at.
“I missed you,” Y/N confessed as they walked down the road.
He grinned, “You say there every time.”
“And you come and see me every time you come back,”
“Only because you have the best novel recommendations,” He teased.
“I have the best novel recommendations because I like the steamiest of things,” She admitted with a slick grin.
She knew the game she was playing. Kakashi knew that. Y/N was a game of cat and mouse that he had wanted to play before. The only thing that had stopped him before was his own thoughts. Now, he was ready to throw those concerns away. After lusting after someone for so long some things are worth the risk.
They sat down at the bar of a ramen place. Kakashi had put his new book in his pants pocket as Y/N ordered what she wanted. Her long hair was pulled back and her eyes were full of joy as she looked at Kakashi beside her. He was leaning his head on his hand, watching her silently. Her eyebrow raised as the two of them made eye contact.
“Like what you see?” She giggled half playfully.
“I do, actually,” He almost growled out.
Her skin began to blush, creeping to her face and taking over her. The ramen was given to her and she ate it quickly. Kakashi didn’t order anything but he sat with her and they talked. It didn’t take long for her to finish. Once she was done Kakashi paid for her meal, despite her protests, and the two walked back towards the bookshop together.
“I want to see you again,” Kakashi said as they approached the shop, “Tonight.”
Y/N stopped in her tracks. Looking at the man in front of her, she couldn’t help but let her mind wander as the words left his mouth. Taking a deep breath she continued towards the shop. Kakashi couldn’t help but chuckle at her change of demeanor. He was getting under her skin.
“Well, you know where I live, why don’t you come over?” She challenged as they approached the door to the shop.
He grinned, “I will. See you soon Y/N,”
She grinned, “Have fun with that novel while you’re waiting. Page 102 is my favorite part.”
Kakashi watched her walk inside. He finished all his duties for the day so all there was left to do was wait. So he did just that. He sat on a bench not far from her home and opened the book he bought. It didn’t take him long to get to page 102. The sun was beginning to set when he stood up, knowing she would be home by now.
“Did you get to page 102?” Y/N asked as she answered the door.
He grinned as his voice became dark, “I prefer 207 myself.”
“Oh?” Her eyes were wide, “And why is that?”
“mmm, do you really want to know?”
She smiled, opening the door wider, “Please, tell me.”
Walking inside, she left the door open. Following her, Kakashi made sure to take of his shoes before shutting the door behind him. She had changed into a more casual, comfortable attire. Kakashi wore what he always wore. There was a tension in the air, a frustration Kakashi felt as he watched her walk in her kitchen.
“So, what is it about page 207? Let me guess; it is either the part where she is laying under him, trembling as his fingers touched her or it is when she takes control and climbs on top of him.”
Kakashi’s blush was hidden by his mask but he kept his composure well, “You got it right the first time. But I bet I can guess why you love 102 the best.”
She smiled innocently, leaning against her table, “Oh?”
He approached her slowly. The both of them were playing with one another. He put both his hands on the kitchen table, trapping her between him. Their faces were inches apart as he looked down at the shorter woman. Kakashi’s breath was even, although his thoughts were racing. All he wanted to do was touch Y/N.
“I think you like it because he grabs her and pins her to the wall. How he grabbed her by her pretty little throat and made her beg,”
“And why do you think that’s my favorite part?” Her voice was meek as she looked up at Kakashi.
He grinned before leaning down. His mouth stopped beside her ear as he whispered, “Because you want me to do just that to you.”
Her breath stopped in her throat. Kakashi slowly took off his mask as he leaned away from Y/N. She smiled seeing his face again. The last time she saw it they were kids. Kakashi was looking into her eyes with a hunger. Y/N returned the hungry gaze.
“I do,” She finally said with a sigh, “I really want you to.”
Kakashi didn’t need anything else. He took her lips as his in an instant. She reacted to his lips instantly, letting an arm grab on to his waist, pulling him closer to her. The build up that Kakashi had been dealing with since he was fifteen was finally being released. Grabbing her, he pulled her into him and forced her legs to wrap around him. Her fingers crawled up his back, one resting on the back of his neck, sending shivers through his body.
He couldn’t help but let out a frustrated groan when she pulled his hair softly. His mouth left a trail down the her turtle neck. She was eager as she tore it off of her, making Kakashi grin. Tugging her off the table, he carried her to the living room a few feet away and almost tossed her on the couch. Taking off his own shirt he slowly crawled on top of her. It was a lion looking at its prey.
“I’ve been wanting this for so long,” He growled out, leaning down and kissing down her neck, “I’ve been wanting you for so long.”
His hands clawed at every inch of her skin. Shivers ran through her body. A deep chuckle rumbled through Kakashi as he slowly let his hand settle on her skirt. They made eye contact. It was a silent question of permission. He wasn’t going to move until she gave him permission. She grinned and nodded her head slowly.
Pulling off the rest of her clothing Kakashi let out a frustrated sigh seeing her body. It was perfect. She was perfect. His eyes widened when her own hand grabbed at his pants. With ease she unbuttoned his pants. He slid them off of him, leaving only their underwear on.
His fingers slid across her bare skin, outlining her underwear. She moved closer to him, groaning as he removed his hand. Looking up at him, she couldn’t help but stare at him. Her eyes were hazy and hungry. Kakashi looked at her with the same hunger as he moved down to kiss her.
His tongue grazed her bottom lip, asking for entrance. She didn’t hesitate as she opened her mouth. There was no fight for dominance for she knew Kakashi would win every time. His fingers clutched her hips, bringing them towards him. Ripping off her underwear, Kakashi let out a growl as she began to slid his off as well.
Kakashi pinned her to the couch as his length was put at her entrance. His breathing was heavy as he placed kisses along her neck and breasts. She whined as he teased her. Then without a warning he slid a finger inside. She yelped from the sudden movement but soon moaned as he quickened his pace.
“I’m going to make those books look like childs play,” Kakashi smirked down at Y/N.

Wordcount 1.5K.
A/N I’m new to the social media AU sphere and also not from the US, if anyone could recommend me an app or a program for good fake texting/insta/twitter, that’d be amazing and I would love you forever.
On Friday afternoon, you were frowning into your gin tonic. Ani slumped into her seat across the table from you. A sigh left her lips, which went unnoticed by you as you watched the ice cubes in your drink. She narrowed her eyes at you and your expression.
“Earth to Y/N,” she said slowly, “are you here with me?”
“Hmm.”
“I take that as a no.”
“Yeah.” You considered the glass in front of you critically, with a look so scathing that it was usually reserved for incompetent colleagues, or annoying plaintiffs. Diluting liquor, you mused, seemed like a waste of everybody’s time, and yet you couldn’t stand shots without a chaser. You wanted to cling to that train of thought, somewhere between cocktail recipes and youthful memories, but you couldn’t. Mentally, you were still stuck on the group you encountered last night, replaying the encounter in your head over and over again. Your regrets had launched you into a full-on anxiety spiral that morning. You should have insisted on going with them. You should have insisted they take Jungkook to the hospital. Hell, you should have at least given them your damn name so the cops would have a witness. Bottom line, you should have done anything that didn’t include you awkwardly shuffling your way out of there. You felt like an idiot even thinking about it, but you couldn’t not think about it, either, because you were simply too old to behave like a headless chicken.
“I’m hungry,” Ani said, picking up the menu again, “let’s split some nachos.”
You hummed a response. Nachos seemed like a good way to take the edge off before you ordered another gin tonic. And then another. With ice. Which was cold. Like nights usually were. Unlike last night, when you had left a group of helpless tourists standing in an alley on their own… damn it. You had almost managed to pull yourself out of it. Almost. You forced yourself to look at Ani, whose eyes were focused on something behind you. She shook her head before saying: “That dude is wearing two fanny packs. No, three. Tourist much?”
Your head whipped around so fast you almost snapped your own neck. Sure enough, there was Seokjin, digging into one of his many pockets while Namjoon was fiddling with his phone and Hoseok studied the menu board of a restaurant further down the street. You nearly fell out of your chair in disbelief. They were all there, all seven of them. Either you got heatstroke at lunch and were now hallucinating, or the universe was sending you a sign to make things right.
“Order the nachos, Ani,” you mumbled. Without acknowledging her answer, or considering your choices further, you pushed to your feet and started walking towards the men. You were a few feet away, heart hammering in your chest, when you called out Namjoon’s name. More than one head shot up. You scanned their faces quickly, and they all seemed okay. Jungkook’s bruises looked better in the daylight, too. A smile blossomed on your face as the relief crashed right through you. Hoseok and Jungkook smiled back at you.
“Hey, guys,” you said.
Namjoon’s expression was unreadable when he looked at you, the hint of a strained smile playing about his lips. “Hello, Y/N.”
“You all look alive. And kicking. That’s good.” You felt a familiar nervousness claw its way up your spine, settling at the back of your neck like an oversized memory. Your hand came up to brush your hair from your face, and you found it trembling a little. “How’re you, Jungkook?”
“I’m good, thanks.” There was that grin again, slightly mischievous, but mostly sweet. You had no idea how any self-respecting mugger could have picked him of all people as a victim.
“Good. Great, actually. I, uh, wanted to apologize for running out on you like that yesterday. I should have stayed. Did you end up going to the police?”
“We did,” Namjoon said, “They wanted to put out a call for witnesses when we couldn’t give them your name.”
You blushed at that, because of course they did, and you didn’t think of it. “Yeah. Again, I’m sorry. I’ll get down to the station next week.”
“Seven strangers late at night,” he replied, shrugging in lieu of mentioning what seven strangers late at night might be capable of, “I would have wanted to leave, too.”
“Oh no,” you were quick to assure him, “No, not that at all. Just… that was my first mugging, too. In a way. I’m just glad Jungkook is fine.”
He crossed his arms against his chest and you wondered if that was his defense or offense. “Jungkook is fine, alright. We’ve been his friends for years, we took care of him.” You raised an eyebrow at him, very inclined to meet his tone at least halfway. The underlying challenge was not lost on you.
“Except for the time you lost him, of course. His English is good, though, I’m sure he would have found his way back – eventually.” You noticed that the other six had taken a few steps back, Hoseok and Yoongi grinning at each other, the others looking away.
Namjoon’s jaw was working hard to contain whatever unfriendly things he was undoubtedly thinking. You watched a range of emotions cross his face before he managed to settle on a smile.
“Again, thank you for your help,” he said, clearly intending to end the conversation there. You were ready to accept that, knowing now that they were safe and well, when Jungkook put his hands on Namjoon’s shoulders from behind and mumbled something into his ear. You were close enough to hear that something was being said, but not what.
“Would you be open to us buying you dinner as a thank you?” Namjoon sighed. You perked up immediately.
“It would be my pleasure,” you practically purred. You never said no to free stuff, categorically. It was free stuff, after all. Also, during your day of self-inflicted mental torture about the fate of the seven strangers, you had found yourself curious about them, their dynamic, whether they had enjoyed their vacation so far. There were things you wanted, no, needed to know. You didn’t believe much in fate, but two chance encounters were one too many for even you to ignore. So before Namjoon could change his mind or grab Jungkook and make a run for it, you pulled your phone out and motioned for him to do the same. Seokjin seemed to put as much trust in Namjoon as you did, because you saw him typing while you recited your phone number out loud.
“Tomorrow?” you asked, “I can come pick you up if you want.”
When Namjoon smiled this time, it seemed almost genuine. “Our treat, so we’re picking you up.”
After a few more waves and bows and goodbyes that were slightly less awkward than before, you returned to your table from where Ani had been watching the situation unfold, always ready to intervene if you showed any kind of discomfort or alarm.
“Don’t tell me that was them,” she scoffed into her beer.
“Yep.”
“And when did your life become a romantic comedy?”
“There’s nothing romantic about it,” you protested immediately. “It’s called civic courage. My duty as a citizen.”
“You’re full of it, Y/N,” Ani said, “but they’re hot. Whoever Jungkook is, you should have carried him to the hospital bridal style and locked that shit down.”
“Shut up and mind your boyfriend instead of ogling tourists.”
“Getting possessive already, are we?”
After running some much needed errands on Saturday morning and getting some even more urgent cleaning out of the way, you were contemplating your closet when your phone vibrated with a new notification.
“I have no time for more of your boyfriend drama, Ani…” you mumbled to yourself as you picked it up. It wasn’t Ani, however, it was Namjoon, confirming the dinner time.
“Ever the gentleman,” you told your empty bedroom, but texted back something affirmative anyways. The big question remained, what in the fuck am I going to wear? So far, “dinner” was all the information you had. That could mean anything from a pizza slice to an actual reservation. You didn’t know where, what, for how long, would there be dessert? Should you wear a dress, or a dress? Sneakers or boots, in case you had to walk? The uncertainty was stressing you out more than any meeting you’d had this week. You decided it was high time to call the cavalry, but then Ani didn’t pick up and you were left to your own devices once more. Frustrated, you flopped down onto your bed to scroll through some apps. Your messenger was still opened to the last message, and you figured even Namjoon wouldn’t find a reason to get annoyed at you over a simple question.
You groaned, burying your head in your comforter. He really had to make this harder than absolutely necessary – not that you had expected him to be actually helpful. But even without his expertise, you were dressed and ready when 7 came around and your doorbell rang.

Hey, so can you write something like person at Starbucks collides with calum, coffee all over her... Meet again a week later at same place, both hungry, so calum offered lunch, forgot to exchange numbers... Both want to get to know each other more but don't have contact... Just add your flavours after this please. This is like a dream I had a long time back and I really wanna know what happens in the end lmao. It's kinda cringe but I really hope you will work your magic and make it better <3
For me the cringier the better haha. This idea was actually great!…and gosh I’m so jealous of your dreams shoot mine are just confusing af and very Calum-less haha Thank you so much!! Hope you like it!!! Idk about magic but you made me very inspired!
Requests for drabbles, mtls, reactions, and fake texts are OPEN!! Please send in requests!
Fuck. You could not believe your boss. I mean sure you were his assistant but to send you on petty errands like coffee…fucking coffee, when the office was in a rush trying to complete all these orders. But no… you totally had time to go pick up his fucking americano despite the fact you had a million other things to do that actually related to him being productive rather than some caffeine intake. But here you were at the infamous Starbucks, packed as usual from the looks of the long line you could see from the window. You felt your pocket buzz as you approached the door. Reaching for the door handle you read the words “Y/n can you also get me one of those sandwiches?” from your boss when you felt the impact of someone colliding with you and the sensation of cold liquid running down your blouse. You screamed in surprise, looking down to see the iced coffee staining your blouse a caramel color. Your muttered quite the string of expletives and was ready to curse at whoever had the AUDACITY when your eyes met the most apologetic brown puppy eyes and all your anger faded away…
Tell me you wanna come over… wanna be closer…wait no that doesn’t sound right. Calum had been working on these lyrics for what felt like ages. The tune always came easiest to him, but lyrics was something he was always very particular about because it had to capture everything perfectly. He kept running what lyrics he did have for the chorus through his mind, trying to get them just right, as he walked out of Starbucks with his coffee in hand. Tell me tell me tell me you wanna come over…I wanna be closer… or no you’re telling me you’re telling me you wanna come over, you wanna be wanna be wanna be closer. Do-duh-do do-duh-do do-duh-do closer… shoulder rhymes… duh-da-duh hair over your shoulder… hold ya…duh-da-duhsshhhhiiittttt
He did not realize someone was on the other side of the door, so he was surprised to suddenly feel someone colliding with his chest and the crush of plastic in his hand. He noticed his caramel macchiato all over her blouse, looking up to her face he found her quite cute despite the frustration across her features. Before he could apologize, because he truly did feel sorry, suddenly all the frustrations were vocalized. Several curse words later she looked up at him, he prepared himself for your obvious rage to be directed at him, cursing himself for not paying attention since this girl clearly has been through enough today. Meeting her gaze, he watched as her features softened. He took this as his chance to finally apologize.
“I-I’m sorry…I didn’t see you-I wasn’t really paying attention-”
“No…it’s-it’s fine don’t worry about it” she said, cutting him off. “I just-ugh… it’s just the kind of day I’m having you know?”
“And I just made it worse…look let me get you some napkins and I’ll get your coffee. It’s on me…really the least I can do” He said as he walked back into the café, already grabbing napkins and handing them to her. “What is it you’re getting?”
She wiped the coffee stain as she recited her orders to Calum, running to the bathroom to get whatever else she could out as he placed her order. By the time she returned, he was already handing her the carrier of the various assortment of drinks.
“Thank you… you really didn’t have to do that I was on a coffee run for some coworkers” she said, blouse in better shape and a soft smile on her face.
“It’s really the least I can do. Can’t have a pretty girl like you having a completely shit day” Gosh that was cringy…he regretted the words as soon as they left his mouth…what was he thinking?!
She laughed in response as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.
“Hello? WHAT? NOW!? Ya-no I’ll be right there” Panic filled her features as she glanced back at him.
“I’m so sorry-I gotta go… work is-yeah…maybe I can...um maybe we-uh um bye” She muttered as she practically ran out the door, leaving Calum wondering what on earth just happened.
You left the poor guy, the poor oh so attractive guy, as a stuttering mess. The right words refused to leave you mouth. You wanted to say SOMETHING that would allow you to see him again, but you were distracted by the incessant vibrating in your pocket and the thoughts of the chaos unfolding at your job. By the time you finally got out of work (two hours late, honestly how surprising) you couldn’t help but walk past that very same Starbucks hoping to spot the stranger who’s name you never did get, much less his number. Sure enough you couldn’t see the beautiful man through the windows…just employees wiping down tables ready to end their own shifts. When you got home, slipping on your pjs, you almost stopped yourself from spraying stain remover on your white blouse. Staring at the remnants of the coffee stain, you wanted some proof that today actually happened (even if you did nothing but completely embarrass yourself). After several moments, you finally pretreated your poor blouse and started the washer. The memory being washed away along with whatever minuscule chance you had with the beautiful stranger.
That did not stop you from trying though, oh no. You walked past Starbucks every morning on your way to work, and every afternoon after. Along with whenever you could sneak away during your lunch break, you weren’t stalking him, although you couldn’t help if this may be borderline stalking even though he never came. After several days passed though, you wondered what on earth you would say to him if you had the luck to actually run into him again. Fate was not on your side however, since each time the man was no where to be seen. He probably didn’t remember you anyway.
Today. If he is not here today then this will be the end of it. It’s been nearly a week if I don’t see him now then I never will. You thought, making your way to the Starbucks entrance once again. Today you actually got the afternoon off now that work had slowed down. Your boss thought “you deserved it for you hard work”, as if you hadn’t put in dozens of hours of overtime. After a quick glance around the café, he was once again nowhere to be seen. Surprise, surprise. You gave your order to the barista at the counter and sat down at one of the nearby tables. You pulled out your phone to pass the time when you heard someone clear their throat next to you.
“Uh-hey” Calum said, almost in disbelief. After coming to this very Starbucks practically every day at various times hoping to run into you. So when he walked in, imagine his surprise when he looked around and saw you sitting at the table next to the counter. You looked frustrated, probably another bad day, so Calum almost didn’t approach you however he couldn’t stop himself. After saying hello, he was glad he did because the smile that lit up your face was breathtaking.
“Hey” you laughed. “I didn’t think I’d see you again” Your eyes widened after making this statement, redness spreading across your face as you put your head down in embarrassment. Calum chuckled as he sat across from you.
“Neither did I. I hope this doesn’t sound weird but I’ve been coming here a lot hoping to see you again…I mean…I just um… wanted to apologize”
“No I-I’ve been here a lot too… I had to leave so I didn’t get your name…”
“Calum”
You smiled holding out your hand “I’m Y/n”
Calum smiled back as he took you hand in his, holding on to it for longer than a simple handshake would require. “Do you wanna get out of here and get some actual food or something? There’s this great pizza place up the street and-”
“I’d love to” you smiled wide, pulling on his hand still wrapped around yours as you led him out the door, leaving your coffee order forgotten.

Sometimes You Need a Little TLC from a Villain (Dabi x Reader)
Summary:
Reader is a normal civilian...well as normal as you can get dating a villain. On Friday, Reader is stalked. On Saturday, an 'accident' occurs. On Sunday, Dabi comforts you best he knows.
word count: 1925
Masterlist | Requests? open
It was Friday, the last day of the work week. I wouldn’t be able to see You in person for a couple days. It made me feel so sad, but then I saw You through the doors of the office building. The clear office doors where You worked as an accountant. I knew You hated that job, with your slavedriver of a boss pushing you around constantly. But, I suppose You did make good money, your apartment was nothing to laugh at. Even if it was at the edge of a seedy part of town. Even if You have creepy neighbors I’ll always be watching You.
I could faintly smell your scent as You walked past me. You didn’t see me, luckily, otherwise I would have to converse as to why your coworker was ‘reading’ a paper in front of the building in which you both worked.
You walked past that karaoke bar as you always do to get to your train--the local green one. I saw You insert the ticket, and I followed after a few people. I stayed near You, maybe I could be your gallant knight in shining armor to save you from weirdos. I saw You sitting by the window, squeezing your legs, your brow furrowing as You stared at your phone. What was on there? I craned my neck to see, even though I knew I was too far away. The train came to a stop: station 5. Your commute was at least 30 minutes, mine more. As You walked out of the station, I saw your head tilt and You swerved around, scanning the area. I ducked behind a wall, and your heeled feet continued on their way. Relief flooded me, You didn’t see me.
That relief however, was short lived. Right out of the station’s doors, I saw You jump into someone’s arms. I heard your laugh, like bells in the wind.
I clenched my fist, fishing my phone out of my pocket to snap a photo of this mystery man. No one was good enough to be with You. Everyone except me, of course. You and that man walked hand in hand all the way to your apartment. Disgusting. Suddenly, the man lifted your arm above your head, spinning You into a hug.
“Hey! What are you doing?!” You giggled. Your back was to me, but he. He was facing me. As I stared on, his eyes focused, landing on me. They were a bright cerulean, deadly. Just as quick as they focused, he turned around, an arm slung on your shoulder.
I blinked, rubbing my eyes. Did that actually happen? Or were my eyes playing tricks on me?
You were gone by the time I decided to move again. Maybe that was for the best.
Your apartment was on the 2nd floor, overlooking the street. Your window blinds were almost always open, the lights inside silhouetting your body perfectly. You of course, weren’t alone. That man. I saw his shape too, that should be me.
I stayed outside for another hour and a half at least. I would have stayed longer, but he was pissing me off too much. Since when had this happened? I’ve been following You for a couple weeks now and I’ve never seen him before. I spared another glance at your window, and the blinds were drawn except one part was lifted.
Cerulean blue eyes.

“What are you doing, weirdo?” [Y/N] called to their boyfriend.
“Nothing you need to worry about, Doll,” Dabi said, pulling the blind down.
“Well, I hope you’re hungry! I made cold soba.”
“Starving,” he replied, joining [Y/N] at the small dining table. “Hey. You ever feel like you’re being watched?”
“Watched? I can’t say...today I thought someone was behind me a lot though, why?”
“Why don’t you take your pants off then? I know you hate wearing them after work.”
“Oh so you just wanna see my ass, huh?”
“Course,” Dabi gave a lazy smirk and waved a hand towards [Y/N] .
“Fine, fine! Let me finish eating at least.” After, [Y/N] and Dabi cuddled on the small couch and watched Into the Tall Grass.
Dabi always smelled like campfire smoke and pine, cigarette smoke seeped into his clothes. [Y/N] used to hate the smell, but now, it brought them comfort.
“Why did you ask if I thought someone was watching me earlier?” [Y/N] asked, pressing their face into his neck. In return, he tightened his grip.
“Don’t worry about it, Doll. Thought I saw someone from your work.”
“Oh, Hidashi? He rides the same train as me. I think he told me he gets off at the stop after mine or something.”
“Hidashi, huh?”
“Yeah, okay, shh, movie time now.” [Y/N] ’s boyfriend gave a small chuckle and kissed their hair.
The rest of the evening was spent cuddling on the couch, which the two were grateful of. Dabi hadn’t been around for the last couple weeks because of a mission Shigaraki sent him on, and [Y/N] was just glad to be off work, and to be in their boy’s arms.
≿-----༺❀༻-----≾
I tried imagining me holding You like that last night, but he kept popping up in my mind. That guy with those blazing eyes, spiky black hair, and long black coat. Was this the type of man You went for? Some drab fellow? Why couldn’t it be me? These last few months of working with You, I tried being nice and being your friend. I brought You sweet snacks I thought You would enjoy, and hovered around You, always ready to lend a hand if You needed it. Punching the air right now.
I sighed, rubbing the back of my hands over my eyes and got up to get dressed. It was Saturday. You always went to a park around lunch time. You would spend a good hour or so there, and later return to your apartment.
I would be there, of course, watching silently. When I got to your apartment, the lights were on. I saw You across the street, seemingly dancing to a song. I felt the ghost of a smile grace my face, until I saw Him waltz towards You. He held and hand out for You, and placed another on the small of your back. I seethed, watching the two of you sway.
Who even was this guy? I kicked a trash can and the lid clattered to the ground. I couldn’t bear to see You with someone. I fished my phone out of my pocket, scrolling through the thousands of photos I took of just You. My haggard breath calmed slightly. This was no biggie, I could get rid of him easily with my Quirk. He looks scrawny enough.
A cough jolted me out of my reverie. Startled, I looked to your window, only to see the lights off. Had You left for the park already and I hadn’t noticed?
“Hey.”
I grunted. Who the hell is bothering me now?
“Look at me, motherfucker,” the voice commanded.
Slowly, I turned around.
The man before me was covered in scars and staples. Wasn’t there a villain that had those features?
“I said look at me.”
I saw his hand reach out, a blue flame hovering above his palm. Hesitantly, I looked up, what would a villain want with me, a normal civilian?
Blue cerulean eyes.
I would recognize them anywhere.
“It’s you. What are you? Some kind of clown?” I sneered. He raised an eyebrow.
“So. You’re Hidashi, huh?” Okay. Now a little fear.
“How..How do you know my name?”
“I’m sure you know mine, after all, I am a notorious villain,” he purred, stalking closer to me.
“Dabi..”
“That’s right,” he affirmed, stooping down. “But you know who else I am?”
“[Y/N] ’s boy toy or something? I haven’t seen you around. What, they pick you off the street because they felt sorry for your ugly ass?”
I can’t believe my precious [Y/N] decided to go for this asshole.
Wait, was he holding You hostage?
“We met a few months ago, you know? [Y/N] found me lying on the cold hard ground. Patched me up. Now they can’t shake me,” he said. A few months? How did I not know about this? Why didn’t You tell me?
“They won’t have to worry about you anymore though.”
“They’ll never get rid of me. Ha! They don’t even know it’s me! You may be a villain but I know you can’t fight without your little buddies here to help you!”
“You’re right, they’ll never get rid of you themselves…” He sighed, almost contemplating. “Glad I'm here to do it for them.”
[ Y / N ] P O V
Today was a really nice day, [Y/N] thought as they headed back home. It was nice to sit under the cedar tree and watch the clouds roll by. [Y/N] had even gotten a ways through their book.
“What’s a pretty little thing like you doing out here all by your lonesome?” a man’s voice drawled behind you.
“Just walking home,” [Y/N] replied awkwardly, turning around slightly to get a look at the guy. Once they realized who it was, they brightened up immensely. “Hey, you! I didn’t see you this morning. Thought you had to do another errand.” That’s what they called his work. [Y/N] knew Dabi worked with the league, but he didn’t like going too much in detail, so [Y/N] didn’t ask.
Dabi throws an arm around them. “Yeah, I had to take care of somethin’, but now I’m all yours, Sweetness.”
[Y/N] giggled, “Thinkin’ you’re gonna get some tonight?”
“You know I will.”
“Mmm, maybe,” [Y/N] teased.
As soon as the two got inside of [Y/N] ’s apartment, Dabi flopped on the couch, while you went in the kitchen to find some snacks. [Y/N] heard the TV flicker on, and a news reporter appeared on screen.
“Reporting live! This is Max Lobo. I never do things like this, but I’ve been following the Paranormal Liberation Front for some time now. A BODY has been discovered. It’s singed and nearly unrecognizable. A man in his late 20’s, brown hair.
“While this could be the work of a lesser criminal, these blue flames that linger are sure signs of the villain Dabi. We will continue investigating this as if our life depends on it. Was he just trying to blow off some steam? Or was he a rat that needed to be eliminated?
“Back to you at the studio.”
“Dabi?”
A grunt.
“Was that your little errand today?”
“So what if it was? He deserved to die. I saw the way he looked at you.”
“D’awww, you care about me or something?” [Y/N] crooned, setting a plate of cookies on the coffee table.
“Nah, I think that reporter was right. Just tryin’ to blow off some steam,” Dabi smirked.
“Glad I could lead you to just the guy then.”
“Yeah yeah, get your ass over here,” he said, rolling his eyes. Dabi pulled [Y/N] onto his lap.
[Y/N] liked when he would stare up at them with those content eyes and lazy smirk. They liked being taller than him, if only for a bit. Leaning down, [Y/N] captures his lips in a kiss. They always start off slow and sweet, but Dabi’s patience wears thin and it turns steamy in a matter of seconds. He runs his hands over [Y/N] ’s sides, grasping at the thin shirt.
“Stop hiding from me,” Dabi murmured, breaking the kiss and pulling it over their head.
[Y/N] ran their fingers across his scars and staples in a light feathery fashion.
PS!! requests are open, so drop me somethin if you’d like!

New Leaf (2)
HAHN AU
After having lunch with her mom, Amanda went to visit her brother, Wyatt, at his rehab facility. Him and her didn't have a very good relationship but she wanted to go see him since it had been so long. She had gotten the address of the facility from her dad under the guise that she wouldn't give the information to her mother which she agreed to simply because she knew her mother didn't care to know in the first place.
The nurse led her to his room and opened the door for. When she stepped in, she spotted him sitting out on his closed off patio. She sat her purse on his desk before going out to where he was.
"It's a nice day, huh?" She said plopping down in the seat next to him.
"If you say so, Amanda. What are you doing here anyway?" He asked barely glancing at her.
Taken back by his tone, Amanda took a few deep breaths to keep from going off on him and smiled once again. "I came to see you. I just moved back yesterday, wanted to let you know."
Finally he looked over at her.
"Where are you staying?"
"At home. Where else would I stay?" She chuckled.
"That's dumb. Why go back there? Those people don't love you, they just wanna control you."
"Wyatt ... no they don't. I get it, you're mad that you're here but I think you should be grateful anyone was willing to help you. They could've just let you keep going until you overdosed. Or they could've let you go to jail for killing that little girl."
Wyatt shot a sharp glare at her and she gave him the same back.
"That look does not scare me. We all know what you did, you're just lucky the right people couldn't prove it." She huffed standing up from her chair. "You know, I know you're pissed at them because of what happened to us at camp but that wasn't their fault, they didn't know that would happen. And you feel like they owe you something, especially mom, because of what happened but mom doesn't owe you a damn thing. You're just spoiled and ungrateful."
Wyatt snorts and rolled his eyes waving her off. "That's easy for you to say. They don't do you like they do me."
"What? Wyatt, before I moved to Atlanta all they did was put all of their attention on you. I barely got a glance. You were always in trouble or in the hospital. They did what they did because for some reason they think you're worth saving."
"And you're saying I'm not?" He asked looking up at her.
"That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm getting out of here and don't expect me to come back. Good luck on getting clean."
Ignoring his yelling and insults, Amanda went back into his room and grabbed her purse. She tossed the gift she'd gotten him on his bed then stormed out of the room leaving the door wide open.
After dropping her uhaul off, Lainey ubered to her father's garage. It was one of two of his businesses, the other being his construction company. This is the one he was at today. While she waited in his office, a couple of his employees came to talk to her. When he walked in she was sitting on top of his desk laughing and talking with them standing near her.
"Now I know yall asses got some work to be doing." His voiced boomed making the two of them jump. "Get away from my daughter before you don't have a job or eyes anymore."
Lainey laughed as they scurried out of the office. "Pop, why you so mean to them?"
He kissed her head then pushed her off his desk and walked around to sit behind it. "First, don't be sitting on my desk. Second, cause they asses don't have no business in here talking to you. Especially when it's so much work to be done. What you doing here anyway?"
"Ew, rude, Pop." She laughed sitting in one of his chairs. "I just came to see you. I can't come see my father that I missed so much and that I love so much."
Caleb started at her with his brow raised. "Your mama put you out, didn't she?"
Lainey laughed loudly. "You know she did."
"What did you do?" He asked laughing.
"Well...I had invited her to come with me to drop the truck off and I would run errands with her. I was tryna help her and provide her with entertainment while she got ready. And do you know what she told me, Pop?"
He chuckled. "No, what?"
"She told me I get on her d-a-m-n nerves so I simply told her that she's a Christian and she not supposed to be cussing. She must ain't like that too much cause next thing I know there was a shoe coming my way and she told me to get out and leave and not to come back to later. So... here I am."
Caleb couldn't help the loud laugh that came out. He could hear his wife's voice perfectly in his head. "And I know you're proud of yourself. Want me to take you to get your car?"
"Very," she nodded. "No, Amanda is gonna pick me up. We're gonna go find her an outfit for tonight."
"Where you two going?"
"A friend of hers is hosting a party at a club tonight so we're gonna go. Might find you a son on law while I'm there."
Caleb stared at her, "Alright ... don't get nobody shot, Lainey. Why don't you invite your brother? I'm sure he'll wanna go."
"You want him to go so he can scare people off so no. But he has a date anyway," she said with an eye roll.
"Oh right with that girl from ya mama church. Something about that girl ain't right."
"Same thing I said but Mama told me hush my mouth."
Across town, Benny and Mitch day in their shared office doing paperwork and talking. They had a very busy morning that tapered off into a calm afternoon.
"How's your brothers, man?"
"They good, they good. Two more months left then they gon be home." Benny told him with a smile. "I can't wait."
Mitch looked up smiling, "That's what's up man. I know they're ready, it's been a long time coming."
"Hell yeah been six long years. I know Mama gon be shouting and praying when they get out. You know her," he laughed.
"Yeah, you know it. You ready for your date tonight?"
Benny huffed loudly and laughed. "I'm ready to get out over with. That girl is weird, something is wrong. I been turning her down politely for months then he ass turn around and go through my mama."
"Knowing Ms. Hanna not gon let you say no."
"Exactly. Ima take her to dinner then ima take my ass home. She not about to get my caught up in nothing."
Mitch frowned a little, "What you mean?"
Benny put his pen down and leaned on his desk, "Something about the way she be looking at me and looking over my shoulder, like she paranoid or something. Ion really like that shit."
"Keep your eye out when you're out with her. You picking her up?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I was gonna have her meet me there but you know."
"Yeah, Ms. Hanna wasn't having that. Just let me know when you pick her up and when you drop her off."
Later that night, Benny sat across the table with his date for the evening, Gia. He had been texting his best friend on and off to give him updates.
"You okay? You seem a little distant."
He raised a brow at her. "I'm cool just hungry. Waiting for my food."
She laughed a little nodding, "Yeah, me too. They're a little slow tonight. So how was work?"
"Work was work," he answered watching her look around for the fifth time, "Aye, what or who are you looking for?"
"Hmm? Oh nobody, nothing. Why did you ask?"
"Cause your ass keep looking around. You got a man or you running from someone. Which one?"
She shook her head laughing a little. "Neither, neither. I just like to watch my surroundings."
Benny hummed not believing her. If it's one thing he could do, it's sense when some shit wasn't right. And nothing about Gia seemed right.
"What did you say you do again?" He asked knowing she had never told him.
"You weren't listening to me?" She asked smiling.
He chuckled rubbing his hands over his beard. "I'm a lil forgetful sometimes. Tell me again, sweetheart."
Gia took a sip of her drink which Benny paid attention to. She was stalling.
"Oh I am a uh consultant for a bridal shop." She stuttered out with a smile.
"Oh really? Which one?" He asked leaning back in his chair.
"Mmm I don't wanna talk about work, Benny," she laughed, "Work is stressful and I wanna leave it where it's at. I'm gonna run to the restroom really quick."
Nodding, Benny watched her hurry off to the bathroom with her phone to her ear. He pulled out his phone to text his best friend and his father to let them know something was feeling off with her. Meanwhile, Gia was pacing back and forth talking on her phone.
"What?" The voice on the other end snapped.
"I think I messed up." Gia panicked.
A loud groan came through the receiver. "What the hell did you do?"
"He noticed me looking around a lot and I don't think he bought my excuse. And he asked me what I do and I told him at a bridal shop."
"Dammit! That is not what I told you to do! You just better hope you don't fuck this up for me! Cause if you do.."
"I know, I know. I'm sorry."
"Not as sorry as you will be if you fuck this up. Get back to that table and stop being so damn paranoid!"
Gia assured them that the rest of the evening would go according to plan and hung up. Before leaving the bathroom she fixed her make up. Benny looked up from his phone when he saw her come back to the table, giving a half smile to her wide one.
"Ooh our food came. This smells and looks good," she commented sitting in her seat. "What did you get again?"
"Steak, roasted vegetables and a loaded potato. You good?"
"Yup, I'm good," she smiled. "Would you like to taste my pasta?"
Benny looked up from his food for a moment, "Nah, I'm good. Thank you though. So the consulting thing. You like a independent contractor?"
Gia thought quickly before nodding. "Yes, that's its. They call when they need me and I go in to help on already scheduled days every 30 days."
"So you make your own schedule and all that? You always wanted to do that?"
"Be my own boss," she laughed a little, "Yes. Consulting, no. It's not the last stop but it's a stop. I love fashion and all that."
Benny hummed listening to her talk. He couldn't care less about what she was saying, he just wanted to keep her talking. Caleb taught him if you kept someone taking long enough, they tell on themselves without you having to do much.
"Cool so what's the next stop?" He asked eating some of his food.
She smiled and shrugged, "Haven't decided yet but something big. I hear your sister is back in town. You excited?"
Benny frowned, "How you hear that?"
"You know your mama told everybody at church," she laughed. "And we know some of the same people."
"Mmhm. Yeah that's my lil baby of course I'm excited."
Gia nodded. "A friend of mine wanted to know if she was dating anybody. He's been crushing on her since they were in high school."
"Nah," Benny answered cutting his steak, "She not dating nobody. At all. Whoever it is can keep crushing cause it ain't gon happen."
Gia laughed mixing her pasta a bit, "Awe you're protective. That's cute."
Lainey left her room with her clutch and phone, heels clicking down the hallway to her parents' room. She walked into the room dancing a little bit and adjusting her dress. Hanna sat in her bed against the headboard watching tv.
"Mama, come on and tell me I look good so I can go." Lainey laughed.
Hanna looked over at her and chuckled. "You missing straps and fabric at the top and bottom of your dress. Where you think you going?'
"Mama ... its a halter dress is not supposed to have straps. And it's almost mid thigh, that's long enough."
"Who told you that you could wear that?"
Lainey laughed a little, "I dunno if you know but I'm grown, Mama. Plus I'm cute and it's cute."
Hanna hummed. "Yeah okay, cute. Your daddy seen what you wearing?"
"Nope and ima leave before he does."
Just as Lainey turned to leave she bumped into Caleb. He looked her up and down then chuckled.
"You gon be late to ya party, go get dressed, Lainey."
Lainey looked down at her dress and heels then back at him. "I am dressed, Pop."
"Where you think you finna go in that?"
Again, she started to dance and laugh. "I'm about to go cut a rug, Pop. Shake what my mama gave me."
"You shake too much and you gon be showin what your mama gave you. You not wearing that."
Lainey sucked her teeth, "Pop, its cute."
"Uhuh, cute, I don't care. Go change."
Pouting, Lainey stomped out of the room back to her bedroom. She started to pick another outfit then grabbed her long sleeve jean button up shirt and put it on over her black dress. She left it unbuttoned and fixed it in her mirror then left to go back to her parents room. When she walked in they were kissing which made her frown.
"Hey, ew. Stop that. I don't wanna see that." She complained. "Is this better? Can I go now?"
They pulled away laughing.
"Much. Leave that on, don't take it off. You staying with Amanda or coming home?" Caleb asked.
"Staying with Amanda. Text yall when I get to where I'm going and when we're back at her parents."
Caleb nodded, "Alright, babygirl. We love you. Have fun but be careful."
Lainey went to kiss and hug them quickly before leaving the room. Once she was in her car, she pulled out of the driveway quickly heading for the Cryer house. Halfway there, her phone rung.
"Hey, Manda! I'll be there in like 15 minutes."
"Ugh I can't go," Amanda groaned, "My dad neglected to tell me that we're having a dinner party tonight. My mom tried to help me out but no dice."
Lainey pouted sitting at the red light. "Damn it. That sucks, I was looking forward to the party. Well call me when it's over and we can chat."
"Okay, I will. I'm so sorry about this. What are you gonna do?" She asked still sulking.
"Uuuh, I don't know," Lainey said quietly. "Probably go see my aunt or get food and go back home."
"Okay well I'll call you. And I'm sorry again."
"Girl you're good. I understand."
When they hung up, Lainey drove around for a bit trying to decide what she was going to do. While she rode around her phone ring again. She smirked seeing who it was.
"You must've known I needed something to do," she laughed.
Mitch's laughed echoed through her speakers. "I have great timing. Thought you had a party to go to."
"Plans got canceled. So now I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Lainey."
She laughed a little. "This is when you ask me if I wanna come over, Mitch."
He laughed. "I was getting there. You wanna come over? I'm not doing anything, my best friend is on a date. I could use the company."
"Well good then. What's your address?" She asked happily.
Mitch gave her the address, then talked to her until she got to his house. While they talked, Mitch straightened his living room up then pulled his car out of his garage so she could park there.
Lainey looked around his living room while he went upstairs to change. He noticed pictures of him and a very familiar older woman who resembled him. She knew she had seen the woman before but couldn't remember from where. Mitch had changed into gray sweats and a black t-shirt before coming back down. He noticed her looking as he took a seat on his sofa sitting with his legs wide.
"Those shoes look nice on you but they can't be comfortable to stand in."
She turned to smile at him and went to sit at the end of the sofa. "They're not uncomfortable yet but I did want to sit down."
"Good. I don't know if I told you but you look beautiful."
"Thank you, Mitch." She smiled fixing her dress a little.
He nodded looking over at her. "How long do I have the pleasure of your company?"
She shrugged. "I'm not sure. I was supposed to be spending the night with Amanda so didn't plan on going home."
Mitch stretched his arms out on the back of his sofa, he's knees fanning a bit. "Well if you wanna stay a few hours, I'm good with that and if you wanna spend the night I'm good with that too. Up to you."
Lainey eyed him. Looking from his open legs to his face then his outstretched arms. She hadn't realized just how much of him it was until now and she was not disappointed at all.
"I um ... I'm gonna stay the night. If that's okay with you."
Mitch smiled at her. "Like I said, I'm good with what you wanna do. We can order food and watch a movie."
Realizing he was about to get up, Lainey stopped him and pulled out her phone. "Wait ... we can use my phone. You don't have to get up."
He chuckled softly taking her phone. "No problem. My uncle's restaurant delivers, I'll order that for us."
"Okay um we should ... we should talk and get to know each other while we wait."
"Wanna talk about this stuttering thing you're doing," he asked concentrating on ordering their food. "You didn't do that before."
"That was before I noticed how much of you there is." She said louder than she intended. Covering her face, she laughed nervously. "Oh my God ... I was not supposed to say that so you could hear me."
Mitch laughed looking over at her briefly, "It's okay, honesty is good. Did you not realize how big I was when we met?"
"Honestly, no. I was so tired from the drive and unpacking that I didn't realize it."
"Even when I walked up on you in the kitchen?"
She shook her head looking at the side of his face. "No. Happened so fast and I didn't want my brother to come in so I was looking at the doorway."
"Tell you what, when I'm done ordering the food I'll stand up for you so you can look again. Deal?" He asked.
"Deal."
"Good then I wanna see this outfit," he added softly, "without the shirt that's covering it."
Once the food was ordered he gave back her phone then stood from the sofa. He fixed his shirt and sweats before smiling at her. Lainey raised a brow starting at the moon in front of her. There were so many things she wanted to say and ask but nothing came out but a small, barely audible, "oh." Laughing a little, Mitch pulled her up from the sofa and looked down at her.
"I'm wearing six inch heels and I'm only at your chest. How is there so much of you?" She asked staring up at him.
"I dunno. Genetics, I guess, Lainey." He laughed and sat back down. "Your turn, beautiful."
Lainey removed the shirt she was wearing on top of her dress tossing it aside into the love seat. She adjusted her dress a bit then spun around so he could see the entire thing. Mitch had to restrain himself from reaching out to touch her when she turned her back to him. He smiled at her once she was was facing him and pulled her to stand between his legs.
"You look beautiful. This is a beautiful dress on you as well. I like it."
"Thank you, Mitch. At least you like it, my parents didn't."
Mitch chuckled grabbing her hands. "They're not supposed to. It fits you very, very well. You wanna take these off?"
Lainey raised a brow and laughed. "Wait ... take what off?"
"The heels, Lainey." He laughed. "The heels. Do you wanna take them off?"
"Oh, oh," she laughed, "Yeah, I do."
Mitch started to help Lainey take her heels off. They got one off successfully but the buckle on the other got stuck. Between both of them pulling and tugging, Lainey fell into Mitch's lap. He caught he'd around the waist, her face inches away from her as she laid her hands on his chest to catch herself. There breathing increased slightly.
"You good? I got you." He said softly searching her face.
She nodded tucking her bottom lip momentarily. "Yeah I'm good. Thank you."
Using his free hand, Mitch finally got the buckle loose and tossed the heel aside. His hand slid down her waist to her thigh keeping his eyes on her.
"You got goosebumps. You cold?"
"No," she answered shaking her head. "No, not cold. Just ... you."
A ghost of a smile graced his face. "I can take a hint."
Pulling her further into his lap then leaned up to kiss her. She fell into his rhythm putting her arms around his neck. The two of them kissed until Mitch's phone vibrated in his pocket making her jump and pull away.
"Sorry," he said softly going into his pocket for his phone, "It's Benny. He's been updating me on his date."
Lainey nodded staring at him, waiting. That was fine that they were keeping in contact with each other but she didn't care. When he tossed his phone to the side, she launched herself at him kissing him hard. While they were kissing Lainey's phone was vibrating on the other end of the sofa being ignored. She's forgotten to text her mama so she was calling.
"She probably just having fun with Amanda and forgot. You know how they are," Caleb assured his wife. "She'll text."
Hanna sighed hanging up. "She better. She knows I worry."
"She's a big girl now, she's okay, lil lady. Let's finish this movie."

I’ll Handle This (3)
Ao3 | FF.net
The walk to the Principal's office wasn’t that long, but it felt like it with the dagger’s Adrien was staring at him.
“I know what you’re going to say—“
“You knocked him unconscious.”
“What was I supposed to do? Let him drag me all the way back to the mansion, making me escape again?”
“You’re doing this all wrong! Father doesn’t like disobedience! He’s just going to tighten the leash every time you act up! It’s better if you just apologize now and then follow his orders to a T.”
“Listen to yourself, Adrien.” Plagg paused one the hall. “Orders? Disobedience? You make him sound like a prison warden, and not a father! You always followed his rules and it’s gotten you nowhere.”
“I was better off then than I am now...”
“Yes, you were.” Plagg admitted. “Not going to lie, this is going to get way worse before it gets better. But I’ve already made my intentions known to him, so he’ll know that I’m not just being rebellious without due cause. I’ll just have to keep pushing until he cracks.”
“I hate this.”
“Cheer up kid. Just enjoy the ride. I’ll take care of everything.”
Adrien just groaned as they reached the Principal's office and he dove back into his pocket.
Plagg knocked.
“Yes yes, come in.”
Inside, Mr. Damocles only spared Plagg a glance. “Yes, Mr. Agreste, what do you need?”
“I don’t know.”
“Then can it wait until after school? I’m very busy.”
“Okay.” And he walked back outside.
“You were supposed to tell him about what happened in class, and he was going to punish you!” Adrien chastised.
“I don’t want to be punished.” Plagg shrugged.
Adrien just groaned again. “You will be the death of me.”
“Adrien, don’t be so dramatic.” Plagg impersonated his father. “Emotions are for peasants. We rich people have no need for feelings.”
“Damn, that’s really accurate.”
“I practice.”
Adrien floated out of the pocket. “By the way…why didn’t you tell me Marinette was Ladybug?”
Plagg halted and leaned against the railing. “How’d you figure that out?”
“Tikki.”
Plagg snorted. “I bet she felt pretty stupid for letting that slip.”
“She said you’re a cheater.”
He shrugged. “She has the same ability as me. She’s just too much of a goody-goody two shoes. Anyway, I didn’t tell you because I wasn’t supposed to.”
“You’re also not supposed to put cheese in my shoes, but that doesn’t stop you.”
“That’s different. The whole identity rule was put in place by the Guardians. Master Fu, the guardians before him, and now Marinette. That’s a little more binding.”
Adrien wilted, knowing he was beaten.
“But you’re on board with my plan now, right? Flirting with Marinette?”
“Sure, but Tikki said she’s already in love with me.”
“That’s true, but she doesn’t know you’re in love with her. And instead of just confessing, I’m going to slowly convince her that she’s the one you’re in love with.”
“Why do it slowly?”
“Two reasons.” Plagg held up his fingers. “One: I want to leave the mushy gushy confession stuff to you, and B: it’s more fun this way.”
“You’re a piece of work, you know that?”
“Yes. One worthy of the Louvre. I’m glad you’ve finally noticed.” He swiped Adrien out of the air and tucked him into his pocket. “Now, we must get back to class. While I certainly lived the Hundred Years War, you still need to know what’s going to be on the test.”
Plagg walked back into the classroom, completely unbothered.
Miss Bustier looked surprised to see his return. The Gorilla was propped up against the wall with a washcloth on his forehead. He was still unconscious. “Back already? What did Mr. Damocles have to say about your behavior?”
“He took away one of my good noodle stars.”
Someone in the back of the room snorted.
Miss Bustier sighed, as if she had been expecting this. “Alright, take your seat, Adrien. I better not hear a peep out of you for the rest of the day.”
“You got it, teach!”
—
At lunch, Plagg turned in his seat and addressed Nino. “Hey, you busy after school?”
“Uh...Alya and I had a date, but if you’re free I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if I postponed!”
“It’s a little rude to cancel plans without consulting the person you made them with, don’t you think?” Alya snarked, leaning forward.
“Oh my apologies, madam.” Plagg bowed. “Dost thou mind if thine beloved joins me on an errand after school?”
“But Adrien,” interrupted Marinette. “Don’t you have fencing after school?”
“Hmm, you’re right. I have to keep up appearances.”
“What?”
“After fencing then.”
“Hmm, how about this,” suggested Alya. “What if we come watch your fencing practice, and then we all go together.”
Plagg blanched. “Eh, I don’t really want to be a third wheel.”
“You wouldn’t. Marinette’s coming too!”
“Oh!” He hopped up on his knees, eagerly getting into her space. “Like a double date? That sounds like fun!”
“Date?!” Stuttered Marinette, “Uh, yeah! Sure!” Then her face pulled into a wince. “That is, if you don’t want to go with Kagami instead...”
“Nah, this is an errand meant for the OG crew. Wouldn’t want anyone else! So what are we doing for lunch?”
“You don’t have to go home?”
“Sure, I have to, but I don’t want to. Let’s see...” he took out his wallet. Inside, there were several credit cards, but only one in Gabriel’s name.
“I’ll cover lunch, let's hit the most expensive restaurant there is! Daddy’s paying!”
—
After lunch, the group walked back to school, with the boys taking the lead while the girls hung back a few steps.
“Okay, as much as I love new Adrien,” Alya whispered. “There’s definitely something up with him.”
“Yeah. I noticed the minute I saw him this morning. I’m really worried about him.”
“Eh, I wouldn’t be worried about him. I’d be worried about everyone else.”
“What do you mean?”
“I just mean...he’s gotten a taste of power somewhere, and it’s bound to explode outward. I’m sure that triple digit bill at lunch is not going to go over well with his father. If he’s messing with his dad and with Lila...when is it going to stop?”
“No. Adrien’s not like that. I think he’s acting out for attention.”
“You think he’d do that?”
“I...I don’t know. But I think it’s closer to what’s happening. Adrien is good and kind, he’s not snotty like Chloe. I think this is just honest to goodness rebellion.”
Plagg turned around and called back to the girls. “Do you think a tattoo would suit me?” Then he grabbed his leg in pain. “Ouch! Cramp!”
“Definitely rebellion.”
—
After school, Nino, Alya, and Marinette took a seat under the shady courtyard stairs so they could work on homework and watch Adrien’s practice at the same time.
Nino spread out his books and then leaned back on his elbows.
“You guys noticed how frickin weird Adrien’s been acting today?”
“Yes!” The girls said unanimously.
“We were just talking about that at lunch!” Said Alya. “Marinette says it's a rebellion. I say he’s tasting the rich boy power.”
Nino screwed up his lips. “I think you’re both wrong. I think he’s magically switched bodies with someone...or something...”
“Dude, what the hell are you talking about?” Alya stared at him, blank-faced.
“Come on, you can’t seriously rule that out! What if there’s a body swapping Akuma out and about that we don’t know about yet?”
“You think Adrien’s an Akuma?”
“Or under the effects of one.” Nino clarified. “Maybe someone out to ruin his reputation...or something more sinister...”
“If that’s the case, we should grill him. Ask him questions only the real Adrien would know.”
“Yeah!” Nino stood. “Like that one episode of Spongebob!”
“We should definitely not take advice from a children’s show.”
“Or…we should.”
Adrien emerged from the locker room, foil in hand and dressed in his gear. There was still something off about him. Were his pants on backwards?
“Hey Adrien!” Nino called.
Like an excited puppy, Adrien trotted over. “Sup homes?”
“What’s your favorite vine?”
He rubbed his chin. “Odd question. But I suppose it’d be a trumpet, or perhaps a Honeysuckle.”
“Uhh…” Nino raised a brow at him, suspicion rising.
“Oh, you mean one of your silly little internet videos.” Immediately, Adrien dropped into a fighting stance. “DON’T EFF WITH ME! I’VE GOT THE POWER OF GOD AND ANIME ON MY SIDE! AHHHHHH!”
“Yep, that’s Adrien.”
—
While Alya and Nino got to work on their homework, Marinette was constantly distracted by Adrien. Nothing new, of course, but it wasn’t all ‘grace’ and ‘elegance’.
It was ‘sneaky’ and ‘unlawful’.
Whenever Adrien’s partner was turned away, Adrien grabbed the tip of his saber, and bent it, only to release it a second later to snap on his opponent’s rear end.
“Hey!”
“You had a fly.”
“Mr. Agreste!” The coach called. “I don’t tolerate unsportsmanlike conduct! One more goof, and you’re out of practice!”
“Just one more?”
“One more!”
*TWACK*
“Out you go!”
“Thanks!” And Adrien walked right off the mat and over to the locker room. He came out a few minutes later, looking even more disheveled than he was this morning. His hair was a sweaty rat’s nest.
“Now that I’ve been kicked out of fencing, who wants to run some errands!?”
Alya slammed her book shut. “Me is ready. Me can't read anymore!”
“Well, me is hungry,” said Nino. “Can we get food first?”
“Snacks it is!”
But before they could even go anywhere, Kagami appeared, looking rightfully confused. “You’re skipping fencing today?”
“Correction, was kicked out of fencing today!”
Her eyes widened in horror, before she frowned hard. “That’s not something to joke about Adrien.”
“I’m not joking, I was goofing around and Coach kicked me out of practice.”
She shook her head. “That’s disappointing, Adrien. I expected better from you.”
In Plagg’s pocket, Adrien gave a little gasp of pain. Hearing his father’s disappointment was one thing, but hearing that from Kagami was horribly painful.
But Plagg rolled with it easily. “Kagami, let’s talk.” He turned to his friends. “I’ll be back in a little bit, think about where you want to eat.” Then Plagg led Kagami over to a secluded corner so they could speak privately.
In the pocket, Adrien prayed that Plagg would be nice to her.
Once they were a distance away, Kagami crossed her arms and levelled a glare at him. “If you are going to tell me to loosen up, I am. But you know how important fencing is for me. I want you to have friends, but I don’t like you blowing off responsibilities.”
“Kagami,” Plagg folded his hands in front of him. “This is bigger than us.”
Her face paled. “What? What are you saying?”
“I’m saying, you and I are leading different lives—“
“You’re breaking up with me?” She sniffed.
“Ah ah, technically, we were never really dating in the first place.”
“But—“
“I’m going to explain something to you, and I want you to listen and hear it objectively, as much as it will hurt. Don’t take it personally, alright?”
She nodded sadly.
“You think you’re in love with me, because you think you should be. I’m the only male friend you have that’s our age, and because of the affection you have for me, you’re assuming that it’s infatuation, when really, it’s just a connection.”
She blinked, frowning, but her eyes weren’t tearing up anymore.
“I’m in a similar boat to you, where I started to like my first female friend on instinct. It was only until I made other female friends that I realized what I felt for her was really love, and not just the thrill of having a friend that’s a girl.”
“Then…how do you know I don’t feel the same? I get what you’re saying, but I think I really love you.”
“Do you? Or do you love the idea of me? Do you love the idea of having a male companion that you can bond with?”
“I do like that…”
“Can you imagine it being someone other than me?”
“I don’t know who else it would be…”
“Make up a person. Pretend you’re talking to someone else, getting ice cream with someone else. Do you feel like you could get the same thing you want from me from someone else? Or is it something only I can give? Is it companionship? Or is it my sense of humor, my topics, my interests, my opinions?”
Kagami crossed her arms, now deep in thought.
“Kagami, I don’t want to hurt your feelings. I do care a lot about you, and I really enjoy fencing with you. But…I can’t see myself spending the rest of my life with you. We’re too alike, and yet too different. Our discussions are shallow, and I don’t think you want the same things from life as I do. But I think you want a boyfriend, and I was the closest boy available.”
Kagami unfolded her arms, and raised her head to look at him levelly. “Yes, I suppose that is an accurate assessment. You do do things that irritate me, like fooling around in serious moments. Every time I brought up the future, you clammed up. I can see you live for the now and not for tomorrow, which is difficult to build a relationship on.”
Both Plagg and Adrien sighed. She was taking this extremely well, given her track record for akumatizations.
“I suppose I do need to make more male friends. I think that would be smart to learn more about what I want in a partner. And we can always revisit our relationship in the future, right?”
“Umm, maybe…?”
She frowned again. “Oh, yes, you said earlier that you are in love with someone else. It’s Marinette, isn’t it?”
Plagg grinned. “Pretty obvious, isn’t it?”
“I was in disbelief when you called her a ‘really good friend’. I saw it a mile away, but since neither of you were making a move, I decided to ‘shoot my shot’ as they say.”
Plagg figured that’s how it was, but Adrien was gawking at her from inside the pocket. She knew?? And she didn’t tell him?!
“I suppose I should have expected this conversation as well. But I appreciate your insight. I think you’re right. I just want a boyfriend.” She shrugged. “I guess it doesn’t have to be you.”
Plagg sighed again. “Thank you, Kagami.”
“No, thank you, Adrien. Thank you for breaking this off before I got too invested. You know how much I hate wasting time.” And with that, she walked off.
Once she was out of earshot, Plagg whistled lowly. “Whoa, burn. Dodged a bullet there, pal.”
“The time we spent together was not a waste!” Adrien protested. “Anytime spent with friends should be cherished!”
Plagg cupped him in his hand, rubbing right between the ears. “Hey, come on kid. She didn’t mean it like that. She can be as cool and calm as she wanted, but she’s still hurt. But I swear, it’s better for both of you this way, especially since you’re in love with Marinette.”
“I know…it just…sucks.”
“Sure it does. But it won’t forever.” Then he popped him back inside the pocket. “Come on! Let’s meet up with the others! We have some shopping to do!”
“What are we shopping for, exactly?”
“Tools to use to piss off your old man.”
“Uh, been there, done that?”
“Oh no, my teeny tiny friend, we have much left to do. Much left.”
—
“Touching me…”
“Touching you…”
“SWEET CAMEMBERT! BAH BAH BAH—“
“Now,” Nino interrupted their little impromptu karaoke down the sidewalk, “my English might not be very good, but I’m pretty sure it’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ not ‘Sweet Camembert.’”
“Aw,” Plagg waved his hand. “It’s not important what the lyrics are, it’s just important that you feel the song.”
Nino, as a DJ, looked aghast. “Of course it’s important to know the lyrics! Why do you think they’re written that way?”
“Relax, I love making cheese parodies of songs. I’m not going to go to Jagged Stone and argue that my lyrics are better.”
“Um…since when do you make cheese parodies? And aren’t you like, low key lactose intolerant?”
“Allergies can’t stop the cheese, my friend. Why do you think I take so many bathroom breaks?”
Adrien pinched him from inside the pocket, but Plagg just swatted him back. Did he not see the opportunity he was just given? A perfect cover for when he had to go fight akumas!
All he had to do was become the weird cheese kid. Such were the sacrifices of being a hero.
“Oh!” Marinette exclaimed as they walked past a boutique. “That is adorable!” She stared at a dress in the window.
Plagg’s ears metaphorically perked up and he swooped in to make a move. He laid an arm on her shoulder. “Oh, yes Marinette, that’s extremely cute. I think it would look nice on you! Can I buy it for you?” He gave her a smooth smile.
Adrien facepalmed in his pocket.
“What! You want to—for me? No! No…I can certainly make it on my own!” She snapped a picture of the dress. “I think I could find a print I like better too.”
Plagg was not deterred. “Oh, then perhaps I could buy the fabric for you? It’s not often that I get to buy things for my friends!”
“Dude, you bought us lunch today.” Said Nino, with some concern. “You okay? Like…you’re not going to start giving away your personal belongings, are you?”
“No, unless I have something you want? A video game perhaps?”
“Stop it. You’re freaking me out.”
This actually did give Plagg pause. In all his experience of human history, supplementing friendships with presents was the easiest way to manipulate people. What was he doing wrong? Was Adrien not generous enough?
“You know…” Nino scratched the back of his head, “they say when your friends start being super nice and giving stuff away and talking about personal things…it’s a sign of them being suicidal.”
Adrien’s bite was sorely deserved, Plagg decided as he flinched. “No! No no, gods no!” He laughed awkwardly. “I just…decided to be a little more…generous?”
Marinette laid a hand on his arm. “Adrien, never feel like you have to buy our friendship. We like spending time with you, no matter how we get it.”
Plagg tightened his jaw. He knew what he had to do, but mushy-ness and feelings were his least favorite thing in the world.
He took her hand and held it. “Thank you Marinette. I love you, all of you. It’s so important to me that I get to spend time with you too, and I’m happiest when I’m with my friends. I just wanted to show my appreciation.”
Nino sniffled and wiped his eyes. “We love you too man.”
Slam dunk.
—
The shopping trip went splendidly. His target was horribly gaudy clothes that would offend his father. He used Marinette as a litmus test. If she gaped in shock, it was perfect.
Most of his purchases ended up being cheap tourist shirts, ‘Hawaiian’ shirts as they were often referred to.
After the initial shock of Plagg subjecting them to the eye sores, it started to turn into a game.
“Look Adrien! This one’s got little croissants on it!” Marinette said with glee.
“I love it,” Plagg stated, holding it up to Adrien’s body in the mirror. “But, all of these shirts are still just a little too normal. I think it’ll piss my dad off, but it’s not enough to push him into absolutely indignant.”
Marinette shrugged. “I mean, we are in Paris, the fashion capital of the world.”
Nino was the one that held up two shirts together. “I mean, you could wear these two at the same time.” One was a sunset orange, and the other was a vibrant Microsoft Blue Screen of death blue. It was painful to look at them next to each other.
Marinette made a loud, gasp, it almost sounded like a honk. “Nino.”
“What? I thought we were going for gaudy?”
“We are, we are, you’re a genius!”
“I mean, of course I am, but what did I do?”
She took the two shirts and examined the seams. “I might doom myself, but I can separate these shirts and re-sew them. Basically, making two new shirts!”
Plagg laughed maniacally. “Oh Marinette, my dear, that’s downright diabolical!”
Marinette blushed, but she smiled proudly. “I can probably do a couple of these shirts, as long as they’re the same style. It might take me a few days—“
Plagg hugged her from the side and kissed her cheek loudly and obnoxiously. “That would be amazing! Thank you Marinette!”
Gauging by the way the girl melted into the floor, Plagg assumed he had scored a few points.

Quick Lunch Kenma x reader

A/N this had a lot of issues yesterday so I had to repost it!! every time I would fix one it would cause another so it’s just easier this way!!!
\You knew that you probably shouldn’t be doing this but you couldn’t help yourself, you had to. Kenma had a habit of starting something and not stopping until he finished, and right now he has been working harder than ever at his office. Kenma has been waking up before you and coming home after you’re asleep because they had an amazing idea at his company and he needs it to be done as soon as possible. You typically love this about him but you know that this means that he isn’t taking care of himself and is going to burn himself out quickly, which is why you decided to show up at his office today (it is freaking huge and super protected but everyone there has seen you with Kenma (or the pictures of you two he keeps at his desk because he truly is a softie for you and wants to remember to think of you throughout the day) and they just let you through and point you towards his office) with lunch.
It wasn’t the first time you’ve shown up with lunch for him but this time felt different, typically if he came into the office he was going to be working by himself for only a few hours a day and could make time to sit and eat a quick meal with you. Today you knew that he had no time and you just hoped that this would at least brighten his spirits a little bit. You also knew that he wasn’t taking care of himself properly because when he gets busy he just forgets to eat. This is why you brought his favorite food (with a slice of apple pie) and it’s the only thing that he will constantly eat all of which gives you nice peace of mind.
As the elevator came to a halt, so did your breath. You wanted to see Kenma’s face for just an instant and tell him how much you love him and go on your way. You exited the elevator and walked straight down the hall into Kenma’s office. You slowly opened the door and saw Kenma sitting at his desk quickly typing at his computer and somehow he didn’t look tired (even though he was only in bed with you for three hours) when you enter Kenma quickly glances up at you and goes back to work. A few seconds later he looks back up at you again.
“What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I brought you lunch,” you walk towards his desk, “here, I hope you enjoy it!” You put it on his desk smiling at him.
He looks mildly interested in the food but his eyes locked on you, “Thanks Y/N.”
He gives you a tiny smile as you turn to leave, “Where are you going?”
“Oh I was going to go run a couple more errands before going home, do you need anything?”
“Don’t go yet,” he tells you as he goes back to his computer. Staying would be a great idea expect Kenma didn’t have other chairs in his office because he doesn’t like people disturbing him while he worked, and if they had to he liked to make them stand so they would make it shorter. You scratched the back of your head and kinda just stood there watching him work at his desk.
“Sit Y/N,” he tells you sternly in the voice he only uses in the bedroom and you can’t help but clench your legs together as you go to kneel beside him at his desk. When you do his hand laces into the hair on the back of your head and pulls your head back so you are looking at him, “good girl,” he mumbles out for you as he returns his hand and continues working
You sit here on your knees watching him focus back on his computer as the wetness between your legs began to grow. You watch Kenma typed out several emails before he suddenly stops and looks down at you.
“Don’t tease me,” he says sternly, “and stop gawking and put your mouth to work.”
“Y/N make yourself useful,” he tells you before glancing at his trousers then goes back to his computer screen.
You quickly move under his desk and between his legs immediately bring your hands up to rub his length through his pants. He doesn't even flinch when you do this, so you take it one step further and lean down to kiss his length through his pants. After a few open mouth kisses, you can feel his cock twitch in his pants and you reach up and unbutton his pants while looking up at him. You continue to admire his beautiful face while you unzip his pants and push down his boxers freeing his now hardened member. Your hands pump up and down him a few times before focusing more attention on his tip.
His words go straight to your core and you can’t help but stare at him with your mouth hanging open until your brain catches up with his words. He doesn’t give you this chance and grabs a fist full of hair and pushes your mouth completely onto his length.
“I told you to get to work so stop being a dumb whore and do your job,” he demands before letting go of your hair and releasing your mouth. You take a quick breath before licking up the underside of his length and fondling his balls between your fingers. You take his stip in your mouth and such gently once then suck harder the second time, this causes for Kenma to hiss and squeeze his eyes shut momentarily before opening them and continuing his work. You continue to suck on his tip as you start to bob your head further down his length and licking and sucking as you go. After a second you bob your head and completely take his length into your mouth having it hit the back of your throat, you hold your head there for a second before going to pull up.
“Again,” is all Kenma can say to you while he intensely stares at the document before him.
You happily listen and this time when he hits the back of your throat his hand comes down and pushes your face even further down so that your nose was touching skin. He holds you like this for a minute until you tap the side of his leg twice as a sign that you need air, his hands don’t move. Kenma waits another few seconds before finally letting up his grip. When you take a deep breath and look up at him you see his eyes looking down at you hungrily and you know that this means that he is close. You take his length back into your mouth and start bobbing your head faster than before with one of your hands stroking the rest of him that your mouth isn’t covering and the other hand fondling his balls. This has him lightly thrusting up into your mouth and his eyes locked on you. His hands lace into your hair and he pushes your head all the way down before finishing down your throat, forcing you to swallow. You take his softening member out of your mouth and start to lick it off.
“You’re such a good girl for my Y/N,” Kenma coos before tucking his softened member back into his pants. You crawl out from under his desk and go to stand up next to him, “sit,” he demands again. You start to sit back down on the floor but he stops you with one hand grabbing onto your thigh, “on my lap.”
You nervously turn to face him as you climb onto his lap, choosing to sit facing him instead of his computer. “Good girl,” he hums with his eyes back focused on his computer screen, as he reads an email his hands grip your hips and start rubbing you back and forth against his length. You understand exactly what he is trying to get you to do and you start rubbing your hips against him and you wrap your arms around his shoulders as his hands leave your hips and go back to his computer. You continue to rub yourself against him until you are huffing and quietly moaning as you enjoy the friction. You have to lean into Kenma’s shoulder and end up biting down on his shoulder to suppress a loud moan. This causes Kenma to push your head back and grab your chin harshly, “One more noise from you and you’re out of my office. Got it?”
You can’t help but nod at him before he lets go of your chin and lets you keep rubbing yourself against his thigh. You keep going and speed up as you feel yourself getting close to finishing and you both can feel it. Kenma captures your lips with his and puts his hand on the back of your head to deepen the kiss. His lips are hungry and feverish as he moves his hands to your hips and grinds your hips down hard against his. He does this several times and you are completely on the edge. His tongue is exploring every crevice of your mouth and you can’t help but let out a little whiny whimper and everything stops.
“Y/N,” he says sternly, “get up and be good for me, and maybe you’ll get attention from me later.”
“Get up.”
“Noooo I’m sorry babe I promise I’ll be good please,” you can’t help but whine.
You open your mouth to argue with him but he points to the door and you know that he is done with this conversation. So you have no choice but to get up and head towards the door. Right as your hands wrap around the door handle you hear him shift in his chair, “if you even think about touching yourself I am not going to let you come for a week. Oh, and thanks for lunch.”
And with that, you leave. It is only a couple of hours until Kenma is home and you know that if you sit at home you are going to lose your mind so you decide to run some errands before heading home.
Once you’re home you decide to shower and put on some fancy lingerie and perfume before going to lay on the couch and wait for your man to walk through the door. After a few minutes of scrolling on your phone, you hear the familiar footsteps outside of the door. You pop up and go and open the door and smile at Kenma. His eyes go wide as he grabs your wrist and pulls you completely inside before kicking the door shut behind him.
His lips are immediately on your lips as he whines, “What do you think you’re doing?” he growls at you and you blink up at him innocently, “did you want the whole world to see you? You’re mine and only mine.”
You pull him into ao big kiss and his lips are ravishing yours and his tongue enters your mouth with no warning, as his hands rub up and down your sides appreciating your revealing attire.
“Babygirl I love you ut I need you to strip for me, now,” he steps back and watches as you strip completely naked for him. Once you are done he puts a little kiss on your cheek before pointing towards your bedroom, “Go wait for me upstairs, I need to upload a video then I am all yours,” he mumbles from the crook of your neck before squeezing you but between his hands and sending you off. You knew that he really didn’t need to upload the video now and that he was trying to tease you, but he promised that he was yours so you were perfectly fine for waiting a couple of minutes for him. When he next enters the bedroom his hair is tied back at the nape of his neck and his shirt is gone. He walks up to the bed and looks down at you so intensely that you can feel yourself getting nervous even though he has seen you naked countless times.
“Cum now,” he mumbles from between your legs, and before you know it you are finishing around Kenma’s fingers biting your lip as hard as you can to prevent yourself from making any noise. He is satisfied with this and licks his fingers off before inserting them back into your sensitive hole. You look down at him with panicked eyes hoping that he’s going to get the message that you can’t come so soon after the first orgasm which Kenma can tell but he doesn’t care, you can and you will come again for him. He slides up your body and captures your lips with his as his hand continues to pump into you at an overwhelming pace. After a quick kiss, he goes straight to your breasts and captures one in his mouth sucking harshly around your sensitive bud while his other hand squeezes the other. Once he is done with your breast he sits back up and watches as you squirm under his touch.
“Open your legs,” he tells you sounding almost bored with the whole thing but you know that he is just as excited for this as you are so you open your legs for him and he leans down and rubs his finger up and down your slit, “fuck Y/N you’re so wet for me,” he mumbles before leaning down and licking up and down you once before pulling away and looking at you.
“We’re going to practice not making noise, okay?” You nod your head quickly before he goes back to your hole and starts harshly sucking on your clit, then licking circles into your hole causing you to bite your lip throw your head back trying to keep quiet. Kenma notices how hard you are trying to be quiet and decides to push you to your limits by quickly pushing three fingers in and out of you while sucking harshly on your clit. You can’t help but squeeze your eyes shut as you feel your orgasm approaching. Kenma keeps up his fast pace and brings his hand up to your lower abdomen to prevent you from moving your hips away from him as you bring your hands to lace into his hair and pull gently on it.
“You’re so desperate to cum but you can’t, not yet,” he gives you one of his evil smiles before he starts biting marks down the side of your neck and bringing his other hand to rub circles on your clit. You can’t handle all of the sensations and have to bite down on your arm to keep yourself quiet knowing that the slightest noise and he will stop everything but at this point, all you want is to have another orgasm. His hands are hitting all of the right spots and his mouth is attacking the most sensitive spot on your neck and you are seeing stars as you try to hold back your building release. Kenma keeps using his fingers on your clit and hole right up to the point where you can’t hold back anymore and you are sure that you are going to finish around his fingers and take the punishment for it so you can receive the release you’ve been craving. But right as you are about to tip over the edge he pulls his fingers completely off of you as he clicks his tongue at you.
“Good girl, now I need you to come, now,” his eyes are dark with lust as he looks down at you squirming trying to finish for him. You can’t without contact and you open your mouth to try and tell him but before you can start he pushes three fingers into your mouth and three fingers directly into your hole and pumps them both into you causing you to finally finish around him. Once he has helped you ride out your orgasm he pulls you up so that your naked chest is pressed up against his as he takes off his pants and boxers.
He leans down and kisses up your neck until his lips are right by to your ears, “Good job being quiet, kitten, but now I need the world to hear who you belong to, got it?”
“Y-yes,” you whimper.
“Yes what?” he is unamused and grabs your chin to look up at him as he climbs off the edge of the bed.
“Yes sir, I will be loud for you, sir,” you blink innocently up at him and he accepts this answer and strokes his hard length a few times.
“Get me wet before I can enter your desperate pussy,” he commands and you lean over and take his whole cock into your mouth and start bobbing your head. Kenma lets out a long moan before grabbing a fist full of your hair and thrusting gently into your mouth. You moan around his length as he picks up his pace and is fucking your face so hard that all you can do is moan around him and wrap your hands around the back of his legs for some stability. As fast as he started he pulls out of your mouth and pushes you back to lay on the bed. You crawl back so your head is laying on the pillows and he follows you up the bed as he places both hands on either side of your head causing you to be completely encased in his body. He takes his length and rubs it up and down your slit a few times before you moan out his name and wrap your arms around his back.
“Kenma, sir, please, please fuck me,” you can’t help but whine and try and kiss his neck and chest in hopes that he will give you what you want.
“I just did, I fucked your mouth,” he replies smugly.
“Noooo sir please fuck my pussy, please,” you whine unable to help yourself from bucking your hip up to meet his hardened length. This causes both of you to moan and for him to squeeze his eyes shut for just a second before looking you in the eyes and ram into you. You can’t help but gasp at the sudden contact and he doesn’t give you a chance to adjust before he is pounding into you. All you can do is moan his name over and over as he thrusts into you hard and fast,. He then takes ahis hand down to your clit and starts rubbing harshly which causes you to wrap your arms around him and scrape down his back with a moan. He is filling you up so perfectly that you could come right now, but you know you have to get his permission first.
“Sir please please let me come please please I‘m desperate,” you whine at him unable to focus on anything but him.
“Come for me whore.” Within moments you’re coming and you’re coming hard, scratching down his back and biting down on his shoulder while moaning his name. Kenma keeps up this pace as you ride out your orgasm, but he still hasn’t finished so he flips pulls out and flips you over before thrusting into you from behind. He pulls your chest up against his as his hand wraps around your throat squeezing it gently, “I need you to come for me Y/N.”
“Noo sir I can’t please,” you barely whine as his hand returns to your clit and starts harshly rubbing on it as you start seeing stars, you are so caught up in your pleasure that you can’t help but let out a long moan that’s loud and needy.
Once he comes down from his high he flips you back over and gives you a loving kiss, “good girl,” he lovingly praises you while wiping some of the hair off of your forehead. He then goes to the bathroom and turns the bath on for the two of you. Once he is happy with how full it is he goes back to the bed and gives you another little kiss before scooping you up and walking to the bathroom with you. He sets you down and helps you get in the tub and before he climbs in behind you. He knows that he pushed you hard today and that you were completely exhausted and he is going to take care of you. Right now all you can do is whimper at his touch, your whole body sensitive and aching, leaving you completely exhausted so Kenma washes your hair for you and cleans off your body before wrapping you in a towel and bringing you back to the bed where he brushes your hair out for you and tucks you into bed, giving you sweet kisses as you rest your head on his chest and fall asleep.
“I said come,” Kenma growls into your ear and you have no choice but to release again this time unable to form any coherent thoughts, your mind is completely empty all you can think about is how good he feels around you. As you squeeze around him you feel Kenma’s thrusts getting sloppier as he nears his own release.
You let out a long whine, “sirrrr,” which sends him over the edge, finishing inside you with a few low moans and profanities.

Crowley x Reader. We Met Before. P2/7

Part 1 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7
Warnings: Mention of loss, Spelling mistakes, Picture of gun (straight after keep reading), you go to church?
Around 1700 words.
Meeting:
(Around season 5 but not following story at all)
…the day before your 18th birthday. The day you can finally start training and helping on hunts. You fall asleep after the movie and wake up to your alarm reading 8.30am (Birthdate) Sunday. The day you had been waiting for. You could finally start training. Well after Sunday service, it was something your mother never failed to attend no matter what state she was hunting in and you kept that alive, even if you weren’t exactly sure how you felt about religion, but going helped you feel close to your mum again, and after hearing briefly about what the Winchesters had gone though it could be useful to learn a bit more. You got ready and headed to the kitchen where you met with Bobby.
“Happy Birthday kid” he said trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible, even though he had woken up kinda early on a weekend.
“Hey, I’m 18 now, no longer a kid.” You smiled at him.
He shook his head in response chuckling as he grabbed an envelope with a box attached to it. When you received it you could see your name written messily on the envelope in a blue ink, you opened it and to no surprise was a card with (Your fav animal) wearing a hat, just like every year. You smiled and read the inscription inside. Then headed for the black box with a gold ribbon loosely tied around, Bobby had never been the best at bows, but you love the effort. Untying and opening the box you see a silver gun with carvings on, and a wooden handle with a pentacle carved. (Like below but you can change to preference)
“I know it's not much, but it was your dad’s, the boys found it when they…” he trailed of for a second. “when they were searching the nest, I thought it was the best time to give it to you, seeing as you’re so god damned persistent on training.”
“I love it Bobby, thank you so much” You gently lay it on the table and encase him in a hug, which he allows for a few seconds”
“Alright” He said patting your back and stepping away, “just because you have a gun doesn’t mean you are ready to hunt though. Understood?”
“Yeah I know” you reply trying not to laugh at his stern expression.
“Right well there’s some (f/f) if your hungry” he said moving to reveal a plate behind him.
“Oh my gosh you didn’t have to” You say looking at the counter with a neatly plated breakfast. You grabbed it and sat down enjoying the change from the usual cereal or toast, and with a mouth half full asked. “When can I start?”
“Lunch time. We will start with some basics ways to hunt and defend yourself.”
You were about to speak when he interrupted guessing your thoughts.
“You won’t be going on any hunts anytime soon until you are 100% ready. You can help out with some of the research though”
You rolled your eyes, as if you didn’t already help with the research. You finished your food and said your goodbyes, Bobby probably heading back to bed for a nap, you left heading for church to see Priest Peter. He was a nice priest and you got to know him a bit with the visits you made.
You were stood outside the church on time at 9:30 when you friend Lena came up and you started heading in. Lena was lovely, you had met at your first church service and continues to go together ever since. You didn’t really see each other outside, but you grew close nonetheless. She was only a year older than you but sometimes it seemed like she was half her age. She like the rest of people outside your small family didn’t know it was your birthday, and you liked that.
“So (Y/N), did you hear Priest Peters gone away for a while?” she spoke grinning at you, unlike you she didn’t like Peter, said his voice made her want to sleep.
“What, how come? I didn’t hear anything” you replied completely confused.
“Yep, No one knows for sure, but I think it's something about a family member getting married in Australia.”
“So, do we have Marcus today then?” Marcus was as you called him jr Peter, he was still in training and followed Peter around like a lost dog.
“Must do” She replied smiling, she never said it but you could tell she liked Marus a lot more, you took your seats, you sat on the second row back always. It was good for the winter because it was next to a heater, and good for the summer because it was near an openable window. You and Lena sat and talked about pointless things until everyone had sat down and the service started.
The priest walked up, but it wasn’t Marcus or anyone you had ever seen before. It was a very attractive man. He had messy hair, and very short beard on his pale skin. He was slightly chubby and wearing the usual priest get up, but for some reason seemed slightly us of place. Your eyes were drawn to him, it was like you couldn’t look away.
“Good Morning. I am Father Crowley, and I will be covering for Peter whilst he is away at his sister’s wedding.” he spoke confirming Lenas rumor.
He had a beautiful English accent and managed to get everyone's attention without raising his voice. The service went on as usual, although you payed more attention to the man in front of you instead of his teachings of God. Before long, it was over, and you all got up to give blessings and mingle a bit before you were to go. After a while Lena had left having to go run an errand, and you were talking to an old woman you did the occasional job for who lived about 5 minutes away. Just as you finished your conversation and the women went out, your phone buzzed, and you pulled it out of your pocket. 10.45 am, and two new messages.
One from Sam “Morning (Y/N), Happy Birthday, hope you have a good day, me and Dean will try to visit soon, I found a book in the bunker library you will like.”
Another from Dean “Happy Birthday (N/N) good luck training today, have a good one. Me and Sammy will swing round in a couple weeks to check in and make sure Bobby’s not driving you too crazy. Be safe xx”
You smiled as you slid your phone away deciding to reply later. You had been close to the Winchesters after the accident, both becoming brothers to you, Dean was however much more protective of you then Sam was. You looked around and noticed you were the last to leave, as you turned towards the doors you noticed Father Crowley still stood there looking at you.
“Did you enjoy the service?” he asked casually walking over to you.
You hesitated a moment before replying with a simple “Yes”. You don’t know why but he made you feel slightly nervous, not in a bad way, but you couldn’t describe it. You noticed up close his eyes were a sort of green colour.
“Good, I’m new to holding services to be honest with you…”
“(Y/N)” you filled in the blank.
“(Y/N) what a lovely name. Do you always come to church (Y/N)?” He asked lingering on your name.
“Yes, Father every week” you replied composing yourself a little. “It seemed like you had done a thousand services before, I don’t think anyone noticed”
“Thank you, and please just call me Crowley, I’m not a big fan of the whole Father thing” he said smiling. “What were your thoughts on the passage read today?”
“I’m not sure. I think in some ways it………...but it seems a bit………” You gave your opinion and Crowley responded with a grin.
“I agree completely. Well I assume you will be here next week?”
“Yes, I will be, and you?”
“Peter will still be away so it will be me again for at least another 2 weeks. Would you perhaps like to meet up after service for coffee and discus some more of your views?”
“Sure, I would love to” you replied trying to hide your smile, “I better get going though, goodbye Crowley.”
“Until next time” he nodded as you left to go back home.
Meeting up next week? For coffee? You thought as you walked along the path. Okay (Y/N) don’t think to much into it, he just wants to talk about the service. Oh, why did I agree, I don’t want to sit and talk to a priest about the bible, although I do want to talk to this specific priest more. Why am I even worrying about it it’s not like it’s a date, can priests even date? I wouldn’t even want it to be, he seems nice and he is attractive, but if he can date he's probably already married he did seem a bit older. It's probably a group thing and he just invited me along to go with them, of course that makes sense.
You finally arrived though the front door and are greeted with the sound of yelling coming from in the house.
“…no, you idjit, you’re supposed to give them the second number if you want the FBI………. Just don’t mess up again your lucky I have common sense.” He put the phone down just as you walked in the room.
“What was that?” You asked sitting on a chair.
“The wheelers, giving out the wrong numbers again. Your back later than usual service run over?” He asked looking at his watch.
“No just stayed to chat a bit after, it was a new priest.”
“Ahh I see, well do you want to watch a film seeing as its your birthday we could go get some snacks and rent a movie?”
“No way, you’re not getting out of this one, you said we would train at noon, its 11:30. We can watch a film after.” You looked up at him and he frowned.
“I don’t know kid, maybe we should wait another year.”
“Nope no chance, I’m going to get changed and then we can start.” Bobby looked unimpressed so you added on a “Please.” Giving him puppy dog eyes.
“Fine all right, alright go change we can start today”
“Yay thank you” You yelled heading up the stairs to get changed.
A/N I don’t really know what a service looks like because i haven't been to one for ages, so apologise about that. Sorry if your names Lena as well don't worry show wont be mentioned much. Thank you for reading hope you enjoyed it. :D

Johnny Goes Down to See the Devil
TW: Suicide mention, canon-typical mentions of violence
It won’t take that long. He’s been well versed in how to thoroughly off himself when it comes down to it for quite a while now. The tricky part is not leaving a mess. After all, he only has an hour at the latest. Johnny was very careful to pick a time where both Dwight and Leera are preoccupied with clients. Additionally, he also found an isolated area to complete the act, giving himself a better chance of coming back without issue.
When the Devil saw Johnny, he immediately suspected some sort of melodrama was afoot. It was never something casual with the ill-tempered wastelock.
“And to what do I owe the pleasure, Johnny?” Señor Diablo was sitting at his desk, skeletal fingers crossed together as he peered down at the (questionable) human sitting across from him.
“Save it for another time, Señor Diablo; I have a favor to ask of you.” Johnny didn’t have any time to waste; he either had now or much much later. This couldn’t wait.
“Oh? Finally paying attention to the time limit are we? Go on; I’m sure it’ll be riveting.” The being flicks its fingers in a dismissive manner.
“I need a spaceship,” the smaller requests, his expression tense and serious, much to the Devil’s surprise.
Señor Diablo laughs for a moment and it fills the room, until he realizes that Johnny has one of those looks again. He knew that one well; it was the same one he gave him when he asked about his now partner…
“Oh, you’re serious. Why would you be asking me for such a thing when you have not only a partner who has access to many of them, but also are family members with a Queen and an Admiral and a Chancellor?” He gives Johnny a look, “Unless… ah- of course, you’re not wanting them to know. I see.”
“So,” Johnny huffs, hating how haughty the Devil can be. Stupid Ruler of Hell being such a self-absorbed prick.
“So? So, what’s in it for me,” Señor Diablo asks, a paper appearing on his desk along with a fountain pen.
Johnny scoffs, “ I asked for a favor, not a contract.”
“Then, you don’t get a spaceship.” The Devil sits back in his chair and checks his clock, “I have a lunch in ten minutes.”
“But you said you just came back from lunch…”
“I get hungry. Besides, I’m the Devil; I can take as many lunches as I please.”
“Whatever,” Johnny sighs roughly and thinks about it for all of five seconds before he acquiesces. “Fine! Fine. What could you possibly want from me?”
Señor Diablo glowers at the man for a moment before brandishing the pen again. An ominous sound arises from the paper as he writes. Smoke billows as if the utensil was on fire. “Your first born.”
The gray-haired human’s eyes widen and he starts to sweat a little. Wasn’t Chance technically his first born? Fuck! He could not and would not give Señor Diablo his son. Why couldn’t the bastard want something simpler like an eye or his use of the letter ‘s’?
“No, not really. I just wanted to see how you’d react.” Señor Diablo burns the paper into a crisp before he makes another one. “That’s a good question. What can you offer me, Johnny Denivar?”
“My soul?” Johnny shrugs.
“We’ve already gone over this; I cannot have you. You belong to something else. Next.”
“Dwight’s soul.”
“Again, you cannot sell me someone else’s soul… without their consent. Next- and this time- think carefully.”
Johnny ponders as the seconds tick by; he begins to worry about how long he’s been down here even if Señor Diablo was tracking time and would send him back after the usual fifteen minutes.
“How about… you can bother me and ask a favor of me whenever you want, no matter how bad the timing- er- minus-”
“Yeah, no, no worries. I wouldn’t even dream of it,” the Devil says quickly, cutting Johnny off. “And I suppose it would be rather convenient to give you a taste of your own medicine. Sometimes, I do need someone to help me with errands.”
“And now it’s my turn to ask, what errands could you possibly have where you, the Devil, cannot complete them?”
Señor Diablo shrugs his massive shoulders, “Oh nothing all that egregious. Sometimes, I just like to spend time with my family instead of running around.”
The man gives the Devil a look that conveys no small amount of disbelief.
“Oh now, are you the only one who is allowed to have a strong relationship with their son?”
“Fair point. Now, do we have a deal? I do your errands whenever you need me to and in return you get me an untraceable spaceship that’s in working order?” Johnny narrows his eyes; he should know better than to make a deal with the Devil, but he’s run out of all other options here. He needs to end this.
“We have a deal,” Señor Diablo writes again, that same moaning, groaning noise echoing as the pen scratches across the rough paper. “Now- sign your name in blood here.” He hands the pen over to Johnny, point first. The simple fountain pen has transformed into a red-feathered quill.
Johnny takes the pen and positions it towards his wrist when Señor Diablo curses and snatches the pen back. “Fucking Hell; I was joking. That’s disgusting. Just sign your name.”
The human rolls his eyes and scribbles down a signature that looks vaguely like his name before the contract rolls itself up with a ribbon and goes back over to Señor Diablo. The being takes it into his hand and tucks it into some unseen pocket.
“It is done.” He looks back up at Johnny. “Now, you don’t have to answer, necessarily, and after all I could just tap your brain to figure it out myself-”
“Just spit it out,” Johnny snaps, tired of the Devil’s games, especially ones where the fucker threatens to read his thoughts.
“Why do you need a secret spaceship? What are you trying to accomplish?”
“And what are you trying to accomplish by getting an answer?”
“Just mere curiosity.”
After a moment, Johnny speaks again. “I’m trying to get to Edgar. Tenn gave me the coordinates that he’s traveling to to find the Exper- er- to find me. If I travel to each one, I have a more likely chance of finally finding him and ending this all once and for all.”
“Fascinating… and you really believe that you’ll just- find him that easily on one of those dozen planets? And when you do find him, what do you plan on doing exactly? Will you fight him? How? What if he has reinforcements? What then? Do you ever really think about your plans, Johnny?”
Johnny’s face grows red, embarrassment coursing through him. The Devil had a point. He had thought those same questions ad nauseum and it all came down to a childish pout of an answer of ‘so what’. He’d kick Edgar’s ass, kill him, and then head home. Happily Ever After. The end.
Except it won’t be so simple. It never has been. Sure, he hadn’t been nearly as skilled as he is now when he first tried to kill Edgar with that straight razor. He thought he’d been clever when he captured Edgar the second time and ripped him to pieces, acting all the while like he never knew the man. He killed him successfully that time, but even then he knew that it had done nothing. Even said so himself in his clouded state.
“I’ll take care of all that. I know what I’m doing.” Johnny grumbles in response. “Speaking of which - one more thing about that spaceship…”
“And what is that?”
“How the hell am I going to get it?”
“Don’t worry about that- I’ll take care of it. I’ve got my ways. I also know what I’m doing.” There’s a mean spark in the creature’s eyes as he parrots back almost exactly what Johnny had stated.
The smaller man’s teeth grit and he has to stop himself from launching himself onto Señor Diablo and finding out if one can kill the Devil.
“Fine,” he hisses. “Just make it quick. I want to leave as soon as possible.”
“As you wish. Now, I believe our time is up,” Señor Diablo announces, the clock chiming as he rises from his desk. “Until next time, Mr. Denivar.”
“Make it quick,” Johnny echoes as the black spots in his vision begin to grow. A moment later he’s waking up in an empty room back on the ship. He takes a look around to make sure that nobody had been in or out, before cleaning up after himself and rejoining his partners after their meeting.
All the while, a new spaceship waits in the hangar, ready to ride.

Chap. 1 (Ao3) || Chap. 2 (AO3) || Chap. 3
Summer (July) || Sendai City || 2018
It was a warm summer evening in July. The gentle summer breeze swirled with a bit of humidity plied on Kei Tsukishima’s skin as he made his way into the train station. Usually buying a strawberry shortcake was an errand he readily undertook, but the day has been long and he was hungry that he was almost ready to neglect his errand. Besides, the anxiety building at the pit of his stomach as he walked towards the store was of no help.
As he selected a cake from the display stand, Tsukki tried to shake off his nerves. He was tired, worn and a little bit sticky, but today required special effort. Today was Kaori Miyahara’s birthday and he promised himself that he would surprise her with her (and his) favorite cake. He saw her regularly around the Sendai University campus, but he only ever hung out with her on Sundays. Today was Tuesday.
Tsukki was a second year college student playing professional volleyball in the Division 2 league. Since school was out, the training hours have extended themselves into the day. His schedule looked similar to a signed professional’s during his breaks, testing his stamina and his patience to their limits. His sport was fun, but sometimes it could be draining and Tsukki was the type of athlete who needed to rest.
The shopkeeper asked if he needed anything else. He requested for a candle to which she willingly obliged. He paid for his purchase and briskly walked in the direction of Kaori’s apartment which was located in a nearby residential street. He found his feet taking him into a dark brown door with a single pale of light lighting the doorstep. He rang the doorbell door.
A girl that barely hit the height of his chest opened the door. The smell of a maturing dinner wafted out into his Tsukki’s nose. He could hear the sizzling of meat and smell freshly cooked rice.
“Tsukki!” exclaimed a surprised Kaori. She looked like she just got home; she was still dressed in training shorts and her team shirt. Kaori trained with their university’s rhythmic gymnastics team.
“I didn’t expect you’d be dropping by,” she said. Her cheeks were flushed from the heat of the cooking, but her face looked drained. She too looked like she had a long day.
“I came over to drop this off. Happy birthday.” he said, handing her the paper bag containing the cake box. He tried to be cheerful in his tone, but Tsukki had never been great at being sunny.
“Thank you!” she smiled brightly, ”You really shouldn’t have-“ She stopped midway to take her cooking out of her pan and throw her windows open before rushing back to the door. The smoke from her pan had quickly filled her small room.
“You really shouldn’t have! I’m sorry to have caused you trouble on a weekday, I know how hard training is lately. Anyways, have you eaten dinner yet? Is your brother home for dinner?” she asked, with one hand holding the cake and another hand fanning herself. She had forgotten to put it down on her table.
Tsukki lived with his brother who was working in the city. They usually made dinner together.
Tsukki shook his head, “He’ll be out tonight. I’ll be heading home to get started on dinner. Sorry to bother you, I hope I didn’t distract from your cooking.” He shrugged his shoulders and put his hands in his pocket, slightly embarrassed that he had caused a ruckus in her home.
“Why don’t you stay over for dinner? I’ll make a little more teppanyaki beef. Okasan came over last weekend and she brought over enough food to stuff my fridge.” she said, ushering him in. Tsukki tried not to show that the smoke lightly fogging his glasses was bothering him.
Tsukki put down his bag and put himself to work. He filled two bowls with rice, plated some pickles and vegetables and helped her set the table as she made more beef. Kaori seemed to have run out of miso paste, so instead he made soup from powdered miso from her cupboard. This was the first time he’d been inside her home in the city.
While he helped her prepare their dinner, he quietly observed her little apartment, which was little more than a glorified room. Her dining room was her bedroom when her bed was rolled up. Her left wall was occupied by a desk and shelf stacked with books, memorabilia and some baskets of clothes. What looked like sliding doors to another room were where she kept her bed things and some clothes. Kaori was by no means big, but the room looked too small for her (at least in his eyes). The two of them making dinner off a minute counter quickly crowded the space.
Her apartment was drastically different from her old family home near Karasuno, just outside of the city which was a relatively spacious concrete home with wooden floors. The house had a backyard that was the size of a small half court. The house had multiple rooms and a wide receiving area. If Kaori did mind the size of her apartment, she did not show it. In fact, she was almost oblivious.
Once dinner was set, the absent sound of cooking begged to be filled by conversation. They sat down on her table on the tatami floor and began their dinner.
“How’s your birthday so far?” he asked. The table they were eating on was so small for Tsukki that even when his legs were folded and crossed, his knees would still touch Kaori’s toes. He felt conscious about touching her and moved himself back.
Kaori’s teammates had surprised her with some home-baked treats as birthday tokens, but other than that her training went on as usual. She proudly showed off some of the treats and told him a little about each team mate that gave it to her.
“How was your day? ” she asked in return.
“Nothing new,” he shrugged.
“Any ideas for internship plans for your senior year yet?” she asked. Tsukki was aiming to eventually enter a historical or science museum.
Kaori hesitated a bit, “When Okasan was here last weekend, she talked about her retirement plans. She is thinking of retiring in the Kansai region and I might move there after I graduated to be closer to her. I’m a bit concerned if I can get a job there considering our internship will be here.”
“So you’re moving again?” he asked as casually as he could. He could sense his nerves building while remembering Kaori’s last move. He had almost forgotten about that memory.
As far as Tsukki remembered, Kaori had moved a lot when she was in elementary. At one point her family lived overseas because of the nature of her Otoosan’s job. When she entered Junior High, her family moved into the house next to Tsukki’s family home. She stayed there until she abruptly left during their second year of high school which was the last time he saw her before college.
Kaori nodded, “Probably, if I can find a job in the region.”
Tsukki’s facial expression shifted. His face stiffened and then immediately erased any semblance of emotion.
“Is anything the matter?“ she asked, as she looked up from her food. She sensed his tension. She knew he was holding back.
“Nothing, it’s not my place to say. You should do what you like.” he said, shaking his head. He could sense his temper rising.
“Tsukki, I feel like you have something to say.” she said, treading carefully. Tsukki definitely had opinions even if he was quiet most of the time, “Just air it out.”
He put his bowl down unintentionally slamming it onto the table.
“ I can’t believe you’re moving…again! Every time things start to fall into place, you leave.” His voice was brimming with hurt and anger. His eyes were beginning to feel hot. It was taking all his control not to let angry tears roll down his eyes.
Kaori had never seen Tsukki so emotional. He kept trying to hold his outburst down without much success. Whenever he was disappointed or angry, Tsukki was always careful not to show it and now he had just exploded. She was stunned into silence.
“At least this time you’ve said it ahead of time, last time you didn’t even bother to say goodbye.” he said, crossing his arms and avoiding her eyes, “You just left.”
“Tsukki, I wanted to say goodbye. I had prepared to say my goodbyes to everyone -“ Kaori was pleading with her voice.
“You literally said goodbye to all you other friends except me!” he exclaimed with his hands.
Suddenly Tsukki felt like he was sixteen again, sitting in his high school classroom during lunch. He mentions to one his few friends that he had not seen Kaori yet after summer ended. A friend replies that Kaori had moved away during the break. Surprised that Tsukki had not known, his friend asked if Kaori had spoken anything about her move. Tsukki sits on his desk shocked and unable to process what he had just heard.
Tsukki remembered being asked to walk with Kaori to school on their first day of Junior High. His mother informed him that their new neighbors had a daughter that would be attending the same school.
“Moving to some place is always hard, it would be nice if you can be a friend to the Miyahara girl.” she said.
Tsukki grudgingly obliged to walk her to school on the said day, barely talking to her on the way there. Although he only promised to walk with her on the first day, they somehow left for school almost the same time every day. And so for all three years of Junior High, they walked to school together. Their friendship wasn’t particularly chatty, but Tsukki knew about Kaori’s dream to qualify for the national team for gymnastics and secretly thought it was cool whenever she got invited to selection camps. Kaori learned about Tsukki’s admiration for his older brother who played volleyball and was not surprised to find that he had barely made any friends in his volleyball youth group.
“Tsukki, I think your experience at volleyball would be richer if you made more friends.” she said, looking up to the sky with her hands in her pockets on their way to school, “I wish I could have teammates, you know. In gymnastics even your teammates are your competitors so it can be difficult to find lots of support from them during high pressure moments.”
Some time in their first year at Junior High, Kaori was invited to a selection camp for junior level gymnasts hoping to compete internationally. She found the experience stressful.
“Then why don’t you just join a team?” he asked. That seemed like a pretty obvious solution.
“Coach says I can better polish my individual skills if I work alone. Group routines take longer to choreograph and clean,” she sighed, “Joining a team will require me to learn a different skill set too. We don’t really do teams for individual competitions if you’re qualifying for elite.”
“See even your coach thinks team mates are unnecessary for improvement.” he pointed out.
Kaori retorted that it was because she competed in an individual sport.
“You compete with a team. You can’t compete alone.”
“Whatever, I still think I don’t need to be friends with my team.” he said, shrugging his shoulders.
“It’s like you weren’t listening to what I just said,” she said with her hands on her hips as she stopped walking. Tsukki ignored her and continued strolling to the direction of their school.
“Hey! You can’t just pretend not to hear me.” she exclaimed, with her hands still on her hips.
“Yes, yes I can.” he called out, turning his nose to the sky.
“You can be such a snob sometimes,” she said, her nostrils flaring while running to catch up with Tsukki’s long strides.
Tsukki chuckled on the inside as he walked slower so Kaori could catch up.
They began drifting apart in High School when Tsukki could no longer regularly walk to school with her because he had morning training. Still they tried to keep in touch, Kaori would sometimes go to his games and he would keep tabs on her competition scores. After summer training ended in his second year, he noticed he hadn’t seen the light in their house for a while. He heard about her move at school and hurriedly asked his mother as soon as he got home to confirm if it was true. His mother validated that the Miyahara family moved away because her parents had separated. Kaori would be living with her mother, who got a job somewhere else in another city.
“I was so tired by the end of it all explaining why I was leaving them that when it came to saying goodbye to you, I couldn’t do it anymore. I was so so tired of having to keep explaining a move I didn’t even want. I felt that we had drifted apart and that was excuse enough not to tell you at that time.”
Kaori looked worn. She had not anticipated Tsukki’s reaction. With her back against the wall, she could not decide between letting Tsukki vent or airing her own frustrations about him. She decided to pick up another piece of beef and continued chewing, too tired to do more than ignore the conflict at hand.
“Kaori, we’re next door neighbors. Could you really not have said anything?!” he snapped. His eyes glared at her intently. Tsukki did not have many friends so he felt particularly betrayed by her sudden move.
His last line incensed Kaori. She forcefully stabbed her chopsticks into her bowl of rice and crossed her arms. She couldn’t believe he was laying all the blame on her. Part of the reason they had drifted apart was him too.
“Tsukki, we barely talked during High School. We were both busy and you weren’t making time for me either. Qualifying for Nationals in important and hard work on your end, but you can’t just toss people aside while you compete. You would never even talk to me at school, because you were afraid that people would tease you about it like they did in Junior High. It made me feel like you had outgrown me. Every time I tried to reach out it felt like you were pushing me away.
I know and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I was only thinking of myself. I didn’t think you’d be so affected by my move. ” she said. Tears started welling up in her eyes. He realized too late that he went too far. Kaori was clearly hurt. His anger shifted to guilt.
“I was just so tired, Tsukki. My parents had been fighting all the time for years at that point and they were getting divorced during our first year. I was pretending that everything was alright even if I’ve been wearing thin all of freshman year.” she continued, not meeting his eye. She buried her face in her hands, sighing heavily.
Kaori knew from the moment she decided not to let Tsukki know that it would eventually backfire if they had met again and that moment had definitely arrived.
Tsukki slowly regained his composure. He didn’t mean to yell at her on her birthday. He hadn’t expected that he would be confronting the resentment that he held for her tonight and now that he finally did it his anger was slowly evaporating. He pulled the box of tissue beside him and handed it to her. He hated to cry and he even felt worse that he reduced her to tears.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to lash out.” he sighed, his temper finally cooling. He stood up to make another pot of tea to make himself useful. After adding more cold water and some ice onto her small pitcher of mugi cha, he poured the drink into her cup and gently pushed it towards her.
“I was so hopelessly attracted to you for so long, but I preferred to just shove things down. I liked you so much that I didn’t know how to deal with it when you suddenly left. At the end of the day, you don’t owe me an explanation. You don’t even have to apologize.” he acknowledged, nodding his head.
Kaori was quiet for a long while after that. At a loss at what to do next, Tsukki awkwardly kept eating his dinner in silence. When they were done, he brought out the cake and lit a candle for her to blow. She looked at the cake thoughtfully and waited a bit before she blew it out. She silently cut the cake in half, giving a slice to Tsukki, who started clearing dishes into the sink to make room for dessert.
“Where do we go from here? What do we do now?” she said in a subdued tone, not meeting his eye. Dinner was so still that one could hear the soft clacking of utensils on plates. Tsukki was tempted to wash her dishes to avoid any more conversation.
The two only ever met up every couple of Sundays under the guise of aiming to explore more museums in the area. Any conversation they had were usually related to school work or their current living situation.
“Well…ahh” Tsukki stammered, “We always talk about what we’re doing now, but we haven’t really caught up on the things we’ve done when we were apart….”
He was conscious of his wording as not to put the blame of being away on Kaori, “Do you want to start there?”
What supposedly began as a quick weeknight dinner dragged into the night. Kaori narrated how she was injured through most of her high school gymnastics career from a combination of pacing, stress and growth spurts which made her determined to pursue gymnastics through college so that she could have another chance to rediscover her love for the sport. Since she joined her current team, her training was lighter allowing her to be healthier.
“I’m doing so much better I feel like I’m having a resurgence of sorts. Competitive gymnastics is not really a long term career so to still be doing this now makes me feel so happy,” her eyes glistened as she spoke, “I can’t do all the tricks I used to do but I’m the healthiest I’ve been in a long while.”
She turned around and lifted her shirt a bit to show him her back. It was a slim back with some athletic tape here and there.
“I used to be covered in tape, like it was the only thing holding me together. Now, I feel so much stronger.” Kaori beamed as she talked about her health. Tsukki vaguely remembered a time in High School where she lost her spark for gymnastics.
“I mean if you’ve been in sports rehab for most of High School I should hope you really did come out stronger,” he said, sipping his tea.
Kaori put her shirt back down and patted herself, “That is true, but I don’t expect you to understand since you’ve had a relatively healthy career. What about you?”
Tsukki was slightly taken aback but tried not to show it. He talked about qualifying for nationals all three years of his high school career and how he found his passion for volleyball. In Junior High, he felt like he was only playing because he needed something to do, but that changed during the finals for his first prefectural.
“Nobody thought we could beat Shiratorizawa High because they’ve been unbeatable in the finals at the prefectural level the past three years, even I thought we were going to lose. When I learned how to block his spikes and play against them, we won. That really changed the sport for me. It stopped being just a club. I realized how much I liked playing and winning.”
“It’s still not fun all the time, but it started becoming fun some times.” he added.
Tsukki briefly touched on how he was recruited to play professionally in Division 2, which was a far less exciting story than qualifying for his first Nationals.
Their conversation kept going and they began talking about their future plans for after college. Kaori explained why she was so adamant to be near her mother and how she found it difficult to be away from her so long now that she worked in another region.
“After my parents divorced, I felt very lost. I knew I was a child, but I had no choice but to be an adult. After she started getting part, I was set to start out college and she moved south. I want to get some time with my mom back. It’s very important to me Tsukki.
When she retires, she might not like it here in Japan so she might just move back home to be with the rest of her family. She said she might stay in Japan for a couple of years in her retirement to give it a shot.”
Tsukki stated that he would like to work for a museum and that he was aiming for Sendai City Museum. He wasn’t really sure if that would pan out with his professional contract, but he is quite looking forward it.
The night ended quite late with Tsukki standing just outside her door. He had felt much lighter than when he first stepped foot into her apartment earlier that evening but he also felt more exhausted. Not only was he physically drained, but the emotional weight of the evening was wearing on him.
“If you really want to move to Kansai, I’ll move with you.” he said in all earnestness. Tsukki caught himself after he made his promise, “Depending how things pan out I guess.”
Kaori was caught off guard. It was near impossible to get him to be expressive and vulnerable and here he was promising to plan his future with her.
“What about your career? How will you continue to play volleyball professionally if you move?” she asked, sounding concerned.
“We can talk more about this another time. I don’t have to play professionally. I can just find another league. I’m not sure I can keep playing like this after I do get a normal job.” he shrugged.
“Really?“ she smiled brightly.
“Kaori I just said I would,” he said, raising his eyebrows, his cool had returned after an evening of being unnerved.
“It wasn’t loud enough. Could you say it again? I don’t think I heard you right the first time,” she teased, laughing while cupping her ears closer to him.
“You’ll have to wait another day.” he nodded while tilting his head and turning his back on her, “See you on Sunday.”

Summer (August)
Sendai City
2020
On a rainy August afternoon, the change of weather had finally eased the sizzling pavement of its heat. The unyielding sun and the dry air gave way to a cooler temperature made it an easy enough day to spend under light summer blankets.
Although there was a little bit of sun out, Kaori’s apartment was barely lit. Her curtains were drawn and the lights were off. The only sliver of light in the apartment escaped from a part of her window that could not be covered. The light barely grazed Tsukki’s head, illuminating the strands of his hair.
Despite the darkness, Kaori was aware of exactly where Tsukki was. He was laying on his side atop of her futon bed with a thin blanket covering most of him. She could see the outline of his toned body draped beside her. He had one hand on her waist and another running back and forth her hair and her spine.
“I called Okasan to tell her that I would like to work a bit in Sendai before I move to Kansai. I told her it might be easier to get my start here since I’ll be doing my internship in the area. She must have sensed that I’m seeing someone because she immediately told me to make sure that I put my career ahead of my priorities,“ she sighed her forehead pressed against his throat. She could feel his throat rise and fall as he listened to her.
“She went on a tirade cautioning me about getting into a serious relationship too early. She went on about me being in the age of curiosity - a time to explore what I like and don’t like. Now was not the time to be committing to something I might later regret was what she said.” Kaori murmured, her hand around his neck while she lay across him. She could feel his fingers continually running through her hair and bare back as she talked.
“I’m sure the advice was well-meaning.” he murmured into her ear, his fingers drawing shapes on her hips and lower back.
“Do you think she really knows?” her tone sounded a bit troubled.
Tsukki adjusted his glasses and gently pushed her away to look into her eyes, “She is probably just casting out a wide net honestly. I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about.”
In truth there was probably no repercussion if Kaori’s mother found out she was seeing someone. Kaori was just intensely private about her personal life and she felt mortified at the thought that her mother would know about her relationship.
“Do you ever get curious though?” Kaori asked.
“Curious about what?” said Tsukki, looking somewhat confused. He kicked the blankets down to his feet which were barely covered just because he was just too tall for her blanket. Kaori instinctively covered herself as her blanket slid down. Tsukki, grabbed his jacket from his side and covered her.
“What it’s like to be with other girls? Athletes have lots of fans, right?” she asked, only half paying attention.
Tsukki thought back to incidents with fans. He did remember hearing his name occasionally from the spectators during big matches. There would be girls trying to go up to talk to him every now and then and he opted to ignore them or shake them off.
“I don’t have the time nor the interest to entertain romantically interested fans frankly. Even when there were girls approaching me in high school, I thought it was just annoying,” he said, scratching his head, “I think Yamaguchi would have been a better audience for their attention honestly.”
Yamaguchi was his best friend and teammate from his High School Volleyball Club. One of his pet peeves was that girls would often approach him to ask about Tsukki. Tsukki felt that Yamaguchi was probably more suited to the attention Tsukki received from girls his age.
Tsukki was puzzled by the direction of the conversation especially considering how they had just spent the afternoon together. Just thinking about the intense pleasure he had experienced half an hour ago made tingles up his spine. How could he be thinking about other women during an hour like this?
“Are you actually jealous of my ‘fans’ ?” he smirked, then feigned shock, “I didn’t think you’d ever be the jealous type. My my!”
Kaori punched his ribs.
“You play in a Division 2 league, get over yourself.” she huffed, turning her back on him. Tsukki didn’t even play in the top tier professional league. There were more tiny children asking for his autographs than women shrieking for his attention. “You’re not Kageyama.”
“I’ve known you since we were in Junior High. If I was more curious I think I’d opt to look for someone I didn’t know as well or maybe a flashier girl…maybe I am the country bumpkin simpleton you tease me to be.” he said, “If country bumpkin equates to my lack of attachment to fame and attention.”
He tried to put his arm around her waist to draw her back to him. Kaori instantly swatted his hand away. Tsukki resigned to himself and lay flat on his back with his arms on his head.
“I mean I wasn’t even looking for a relationship, we kind of just stumbled onto each other. I really like you, I do but if we hadn’t been seeing each other I wouldn’t be actively going around searching for someone to date.”
He flipped the question onto her.
“How do you feel about your fans? Are you curious what it would be like to date one of the people cheering for you in the stands.”
“Not really? I mean I feel thankful and respectful for the people cheering me on, but honestly I’ve never thought about being romantically linked to any of them. Liking the same sport is not a good foundation for a relationship.
Also, the majority of gymnastic fans are either hardcore fans of the sport, former gymnasts or families of budding gymnasts. There are very few casual fans looking for a date in the audience, you know?” she said, turning towards him with her arms crossed.
“Oh wow, that’s very balanced of you.” he said.
“Are you not curious?” He asked, suddenly conscious of being her lover.
“Curiosity doesn’t always pay off.” she swiftly answered, “Every guy that has tried to ask me out either looks like trouble or believes me to be a different person from who I am.”
Kaori thought back to the time her friend tried to set her up on a double date with a guy that asked her to be more “kawaii” and lady-like because he felt she was taking too big a bite of her food. The boy thought she would be more attractive if she demurred herself. The experience made her shudder at the audacity of men.
“Does that mean I look like trouble?” he gasped, faking his dramatics.
“No, you’re too anti-social to cause trouble.” she laughed.
“Then are you not content with me?” he followed up.
Kaori quickly paused to think and said, “I am.”
Tsukki moved over closer to her, covering her body with his. Kaori wrapped her arms around his neck as he pressed himself onto her. He could feel her breathing in his skin.
“Then I don’t see what’s the problem.” he said, planting a kiss along her neck.

The thrilling adventures of a PA - Chapter Three : One step forward, two steps back (Adam Sackler x Reader)
Time does fly sometimes you think as you’re walking to Adam’s trailer with the lunch you ordered for the both of you at his request. According to the schedule, today was really a light day, he only had 2 scenes to shoot and they were supposed to be shot at dusk. It’s been 2 months now since you started the job and you knew what it meant for him to have to wait that long without having anything to do. You even suspected at one point he had ADHD but no, it was just how he was. How he came to be with everything that happened to him more precisely. Both of you had plenty of time to chat in between takes so you learned a bit about him as much as he learned about you. You liked that in fact, bonding like this, gradually but equally. it wasn’t all you talking and him listening or the other way around, no. He told you something and some other time or right after, you’d answer back. You knock on the door like you always do, letting him know it’s you behind that door & you let yourself in without waiting for any invitation since he’s expecting you.
- “Room service”, you joyfully announce, plates in one hand as the other closes the door behind you. As you turn around, you’re greeted by a small smile. He seems a bit tired by the look of it but you don’t mention it, no need to rub that one in. You lay the plates on the counter and take out the dishes from the cupboard. Yeah, you know where is everything by now, spending so much time in here explains it. Adam doesn’t mind or at least he doesn”t say anything about it. Maybe he even likes it, you suspect because he avoids keeping to himself like he does with the others. - “It smells fucking amazing”, he lets out as he’s approaching, taking the plates from your hands to set the table. “Thanks for that, I really didn’t want to go out on the canteen today.” - “No problem, you bought me lunch, I couldn’t say I wouldn’t do it. Plus, it’s still part of my job, remember ? You ask, I make it happen”, you answer back with a playfull smile and get a matching one from the actor. He pinches at your waist to retaliate and you chuckle. You’re getting comfy around each other these days and it’s really great but this doesn’t help you in any way not falling for him as the days go by. You both sit down on either side of the table & you can’t help but smile seeing him struggling to fit on the bench because of his long legs. That man really was a tree you thought to yourself, one you’d really enjoy climbing some day if it was possible. Snapping out of your inner fantasies, you start eating your lunch in silence, savouring the food for a second. Gosh that meat was so tender it almost dissolved on your tongue without chewing. A sigh of pleasure escaped Adam’s throat and once more, you chuckle making him furrow his brows at you. God, the places your mind went straight to while hearing that noise... - “Was that too loud ?”, he asks as you’re still smiling at him. - “Maybe a bit, but at least I’m sure you’re enjoying the food”, you retort, clearly teasing him. He pouts at you for a second & you laugh before you both start eating again. You’re halfway through the meal when you break the silence. “I thought that maybe we could go over your lines before you set off this afternoon ? It’ll pass the time and this way at least, I’d feel like i’m actually helping you in something that relates to your job for once and no just errands.” - “You’re helping me”, he says a bit sternly, “it might not look like it but you do, trust me, ok ?”, he adds looking you in the eyes to make sure you believe what he just said, making you blush a little in doing so. - “You know what I meant by that”, you reply looking down on your now empty plate. He nods and waits for you to look up again. - “Are you still hungry ? Do you want something else ?”, he asks gently & you shake your head to let him know you’re full. He takes the plates from the table and sets them in the sink. You catch a quick glance over before th turns & heads to the fridge to take some milk out. Adam drinks a lot of milk you noticed. He even drinks it with almost anything. You saw him have some with a slice of pizza once. It’s a bit weird but it’s Adam we’re talking about so, not so weird in the end. - “Can I have some too ?”, you say as he starts sipping directly from the jug. The giant immediately stops and wipes his mouth witht he back of his hand. - “Fuck, sorry. Yeah, of course, just a sec”, he answers, looking around for a glass but none are out so he reaches out in the cupboard to find one. Pourring the milk in, he puts it in front of you. - “Thanks”, you reply with a faint smile. This feels incredibly domestic to you all of that. The mall talk, the gestures... He nods again and sits back after he’s put the milk in the fridge. - “I didn’t picture you as a milk gal”, he blurts out and you genuinely laugh. - “What’s that even supposed to mean ?”, you reply still laughing a bit. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me Mr Sackler”, you add theatrically. - “Oh, I’m aware of that, trust me”, he talks back to you the same way, arching a brow for emphasis. You chuckle but inside you’re feeling quite flustered from that simple phrase. So you take a sip to give yourself some composure & take out from your bag the script, putting it in front of you as you set the glass on the table. - “Let’s get down to business”, you almost chant to the tune of the Disney song but you can tell he doesn’t know it as he grabs the script takes it away from you instead. “Hey, give that back, I don’t know the lines, we’re supposed to make you rehearse, not me.” - “What do I get in return if I give it back ?”, he asks with a playfull grin on his face. You cross your arms & eye him sternly for a few seconds, which makes him grin even wider, making you want to slap that grin off because you know you’ve already lost this battle. - “3 questions. Anything you wanna ask me & I’ll have to answer, whether I like it or not”, you finally reply after some thinking. It’s a dangerous bargain you’re strucking youself in but you’re pretty sure he’ll be interested, giving what he said earlier. - “Make it 5 and we have ourselves a deal”, he retorts matching your stance. - “If your acting career ever stops, you’ll have a great future as a broker in Wall Street”, you say but now you’re the one grinning. - “First of all, aoutch”, he answers back, pretending to be hurt, “but I promise I’ll make a good use of those 5 questions”, he adds smiling again. You shake your head smiling too and he gives the script back. The first scene goes smoothly, it’s basically a fight between the two characters after they went out. You’re trying your best to put in feelings & intonnation but you don’t dare look at him while he’s replying. Especially since you know what’s coming next. Adam’s character goes into a monologue that you know will hit close to home for him. He explains why he can’t commit to his girlfriend, a very intense scene, charged with emotions. You can’t help but wonder if it will be okay for him when the camera will be rolling. Ot’s his job yes, but it doesn’t mean it must be easy to deal with that kind of personal trauma. You take a little break once you’ve done the first scene a couple of times, finishing your glass in the process. You feel your body tense a bit as you turn the page to get to the next one. Adam passes a hand in his hair & you guess he’s dreading it as well, or at least to rehearse it in front of you. Suddenly, you feel your phone vibrates in your pocket, you reach for it and read the text. It’s coming from Shirley and says all of you PAs are going out tonight for a few drinks. - “Your boyfriend ?”, a deep voice asks you and you shake your head. - “Nope, it’s Shirley. We’re all going out tonight”, you answer as you put the phone next to you. The silence that follows your reply feels weird but you don’t say anything about it. “Do you wanna keep going or take a break ?” - “No, let’s do this”, he says a bit abruptly as he gets up, preparing himself for what’s to come. The atmosphere’s changed, neither of you can ignore it but you still go on. Adam recites his lines and it’s something to witness up close you gotta say. You’ve got chills down your spine and goosebumps all over. You’re almost crying when he’s done & he’s in the same state. You dare not say a word right now; like it’s going to break something that isn’t there so you’re relieved whe the actor sniffles and looks at you with a completely different gaze. - “That was amazing ! I... I don’t even know what to say since it was that effing good Adam”, you manage to let out without getting too emotional. - “You’re just saying that, it was shit”, he blurts out, taking his head between his hands in frustration. You feel there’s a storm boiling inside of him so you try to avoid it hitting the pointof no return. - “Why would I do that ? Plus, you know you’re always the worst judge when it comes to your performance. The director will be thrilled with it, believe me. And if he’s not, he’s either blind or stupid”, you point out, wipping a tear from your cheek and your phone buzzes again. A quick look at it and you set it aside. - “Still Shirley ?”, he asks shaking his head to clear his thoughts & get out of the scene. - “She says I should wear a dress and let my hair down because I quote ‘it’ll make you look cute, you never know who might be out there’. She’s trying to hook me up for a couple of weeks now. She says it’s depressing that I’m still single & only living for my job. She always says the nicest of things, don’t you think ?”, you say smiling, clearly kidding. You know she’s looking out for you and that it’s coming from a good place, but you’re not that desperate for one & well, you’re not interested in anyone except for one tall dark haired man standing two feets away from you right now. Who looks somewhat annoyed and lost at the same time. “Do you want to give it another shot or not ?”, you simply respond, chosing to ignore what just went down. - “No, if I trust what you’ve said, it’s more than okay I wouldn’t want to keep you here if you’ve got places to be tonight”, he tries to chirp to give the illusion it was just a spat but you can clearly see he’s still annoyed. - “Are you sending me away ?” - “You obviously want to get ready for your night and I think I can get myself to the set on time without you so yeah, it would seem so”. His tone is almost cold and you feel tears coming up from nowhere so you stand up, taking your phone and the script with you as you rush for the door since you’re being dismissed. - “Trust your guts for the scene, you’re a great actor Adam. Even if you don’t think so. I’ll see you in the morning”, you manage to say before you leave the trailer without looking back. What the hell was that, you ask yourself as you’re walking back to the locker room, trying to hold back tears. The last thing you want right now is for someone to see you like this and ask why you’re in that state. You’re still a bit shaken by what went down early on when you meet the others at the bar. Was it a way for you to conjure up Adam’s words that you actually listened to Shirley’s advice and put on the only dress you had in your wardrobe, letting your hair down and even got yourself pampered a little ? Perhaps... Catching you in her field of view, the other PA lights up instantly and comes your way arms wide open. - “Wow, look at you sweetie ! All dolled up. You look fantastic”, she says as she hugs you like a mama bear before realeasing you. “See, I told you you can clean out just fine if you put enough will in it”, she adds grabbing your arm as she drags you to the entrance where the others are waiting. Of course Stew is there but there’s also Kayla, a young brunette coming from Missouri who hopes her job as a PA will be her back entrance to an acting career. She’s nice & has a lovely voice (she nails every high notes of Mariah’s songs which she likes to sing all day long...). Next we’ve got Andrea, former waiter in a great hotel in Greece where he’s coming from, who got into the job years ago on a misunderstanding. He loves puns, you two have bonded over that since your sense of humor is based on the same cinematical references. And finally, there’s Oona. From chinese origins, she’s the little miss sunshine of your troup. Always making you guys smile with her clumsiness but mostly because she radiates good vibes non-stop. The lot of you enter the bar & settle at a table before ordering the first round. You’re looking around to scan the crowd and Andrea notices, as he’s sitting in front of you. - “Looking for your next mistake, aren’t we ?”, he teases you, he knows you’re the worst when it comes to anything related to flirt or relationships. - “No, not you too Andrea. Shirley’s seeing things, I’m not into him, just as he’s not into me. I just admire his intensty when he’s acting, that’s it”, you try to defend yourself but he’s not convinced. - “Honey, I’m a lesbian and I think he’s a total babe. You’re smitten, all the sings are here”, intervenes Shirley suddenly, as she pinches your chin softly. “That’s why whe’re here tonight. We’re gonna get you a man to make you forget another one.” You’re about to argue against that idea but one look at her and you know there’s no way she’s letting you off the hook. The first round of drinks arrives & you try to hide behind your glass but its size a bit to small for that, especially knowing what Shirley’s up with you. But you know she’s right and your mind plays back the exchange you had with him a few hours ago. The first couple of gulps go down your throat without you noticing it & the other woman next to you smiles. “That’s the spirit girl, let your freak flag fly tonight”, she replies chuckling and it’s a couple of hours later when you get out to catch some fresh hair that you’re joined by Stew who needs to smoke. - “You ok Y/N ?”, he asks as he lights up his cigarette with one hand. - “Do you wanna hear the short answer or the fake one ?”, you answer with a faint smile. - “The one you’re most comfortable with I’d say”, he replies with a smirk. “If you don’t want to talk at all, I understand. The same thing ahppend to me when I had my first job as a PA.” - “Really ? And how didi it end ?”, you dare ask, wanting to know even if you dredd the answer, feeling it’s not a fairy tale ending by the way he said that. - “Not going to lie to you, it was a bitch. It broke my heart & I gained 10 pounds eating Ben&Jerry’s for a whole month”, he says whille taking a drag. “We’re just a distraction, it’s nothing real for them. We’re here to help, answer their every need so it’s easy to be mistaken on what all this is in the end. But if you wanna keep working as a PA, you’ll have to set some barriers. Easier said than done I know but that’s how I’ve handled it.” The both of you talk about the subject for another good 20 minutes before Shirley comes out too and heads for you directly, saying it’s your turn to buy drinks and that it’s not outside you’ll be meeting someone. You look at Stew for help but all he gives you in return is a ‘sorry you’re on your own here’ shrug because he knows she’s not letting this go away. You’re only allowed to go home after she was you talk to 2 guys. You’re tired & have to process a lot of things. Luckily, the walk to your appartment gives you time to think things through or at least to start doing so. You’re not sure if it’s the alcohol or simply the emotional toll of the day that’s finally catching with you but as your head falls on the pillow after you’ve changed in your pj’s, you feel yourself drifting into sleep but you’re still wondering what you’re going to do with what Stew told you and what happened with Adam this afternoon. Your night is agitated, you’re rolling over & over again trying to figure out what you’ll do but as your alarm clock wakes you up in the morning, the answer si still out of reach so you decide that you’ll follow your colleague’s advice. Even if it'll be hard for you, it’s the only reasonable thing to do if you don’t want to end up heart broken when in a few months your paths will part. Why did he had to be so damn complicated and loveable at the same time ? You curse his name out loud as you leave your place for work, determined to let all that behind you somehow and not to fall in that trap another time. Or at least that’s what you’re telling yourself on repeat all the ride long to the studios this morning.
