Love is like peeling an orange Begins with the peel A rough exterior that is hard to get through With each chip, you see the interior It may be beautiful on the inside Or it could be ugly The damage lies there Sometimes invisible from the outside Once the delicate inside is exposed It must be treated well Bite into it Bitter at first Then sweet afterwards The delicate flesh Easy to bite into Impossible to put back Once the orange is peeled There is no going back So be careful whose orange you peel And who you let peel your orange

What would have been...

“Today would have been our 4 year anniversary. I was feeling rather down & melancholy about it yesterday, but strangely today I don’t feel sad. I feel energized and excited and ready to continue in this positive direction my life has been needing (and is!) to go! 

He texted me today, trying to small talk about football & Cat and I refused. I do not want to be his friend. He did not choose me, so I have stopped choosing him. My last statement to him:

‘In your heart of hearts, are you able & willing to change yourself? Are you willing to make your priorities and stick to them with conviction? Whatever they may be?’

‘I think yea...’

‘Well you figure that out. I will not be a part of your change. You need to figure out what you want in life. What makes you happy. Who is worth your time. And more importantly... who you would move mountains for and expect nothing in return.’

This is the beginning of my new (and much stronger) story.
