buffalo by hurray for the riff raff off their new album THE PAST IS STILL ALIVE. that album BANGS and "buffalo" is one of my favorite tracks. "this year tried to kill us, baby / well good luck trying, you can't catch me!"

the neko case + eric bachmann version of sleep all summer, originally by crooked fingers (ie eric bachmann + lara meyerratkin). i love the original version (#1 crooked fingers fan) but/and neko case is one of the most beautiful singers of all time. this is truly 2 great tastes that taste great together!

my west african blues journey has taken me to tinariwen, which i understand is Thee preeminent tuareg desert blues group. just learned that my fave song off their album ELWAN has a BANGERRRR animated music video: nànnuflày

heat wave fic is going to be so, SO short. i swear it's going to be. it's about a hot day in summer when eddie's air conditioning breaks, so, of course, eddie and chris come over to crash at buck's for some cool air. chris gets buck's bed; buck and eddie share the air mattress on the floor of the living room. they don't want to wake chris up, but they can't sleep, so they lie side by side and text each other. heat of summer, phones in a dark room, quiet love confessions - u get the idea!

it is only technically inspired by a mountain goats song, bc it really couldn't have less to do w/ the song (have to explode), but sometimes i get the lyrics tile floor of the bathroom/scrubbed clean and bright, and you and me lying on the tile floor/trying to keep cool/restless all night stuck in my head and im swept away to the feeling of a cool tile floor on a hot day. so that's the inspo!!

stand there and get hit i have definitely told u about, though it probably has changed a little since then. title is from spent gladiator 2 (which is an eddie song, or at the very least a song w/ eddie lyrics) (amy aka spent gladiator 1 is a buck song: 'do every stupid thing that makes you feel alive'). this fic is very shortly after buck comes out to eddie - they go out for drinks and eddie tries to be supportive and talk to buck about being bi dating a man et al. inevitably, he kinda fucks it up and buck gets mad at him. buck tells eddie that maybe this is just a thing eddie isn't going to understand about him; eddie has a spiral of unprecedented proportions about that.

sweet/savory/spicy: this is a silly question. there must be balance, and also they're not mutually exclusive? thinking about a good pad thai which is all of the above. like, if only allowed one ever for the rest of my life, savory probably? because what is spicy without savory-ness? but i also am a baker with a sweet tooth, so. silly question.

Relationship status: married to @unloneliest! this year will be our 10th anniversary (from dating) which? wild. we were babies.

Current obsession: i mean, always my comic @farragone, I'm very close to finishing the coloring for an episode right now and am! very excited for how that's looking! a little out of context screenshot! they.

but also recently got a shelf and discovered it was in much rougher shape once it was getting cleaned, so I learned how to refinish wood about it! and did that intensely for 3 days

the before, after I sanded & added wood filler, and after!! dragon shelf!!!

I'm also getting top surgery in a month, so, definitely very focused on getting stuff prepared for that! bought some very cheap shirts today that can get wrecked if they must, dealing with boring paperwork etc.

Last thing you googled: was trying to order vegan wings and suffering about it since the place we originally tried to order from wasn't actually accepting online orders, and the place we did order from did not have any descriptions of their sauces. So doing a search to see if anybody had even posted any photos or reviews, while slowly losing my hungry mind over how large their menu was.

Jesus, let's see...

My first aspirations, in what I'm sure is not any kind of order, were: artist (visual artist, I wanted to draw and paint things), horse trainer (bc I was very much a horse girl in my early childhood), and a crab inspector (bc my parents, up until they retired very recently, owned a seafood inspecting company,, and I had the pretty common early childhood desire to be like my parents/older siblings/other respected older role models at that time).

I could be wrong about this, but I THINK that the earliest and most genuine/unifluenced of these was the Artist option. Which is still a thing I aspire to, in various forms,, even though I really don't have any desire to make it my livelihood at this point in time, for logistical and financial reasons.

We have run out of cooking gas a week ago, and the price of a gas cylinder is about 480 shekels (120 € ), also there’s no flour, it’s bag price is almost (150 €) , no salt - kilo of salt is almost (5€) - , no sugar - kilo of sugar is (9€) .

In addition there is my child’s needs:

-a pack of Pampers for 180 shekels (45€ ),

-3 cans of baby milk per month for 120 shekels (30€ ),

-warm clothes for the child about (100€ ),

-and a plastic cover for the tent to protect us from the rain costs about (200€ ),

I want to buy cleaning materials , such as :

-Bottle of shampoo 80 shekels ( 20€ ).

-2 Kilo of washing powder 140 shekels (36€ ).

-Bottle of dish- washing liquid 50 shekels ( 13€) .

****So i urgently need your help to raise 1000 € more by end of Wednesday so that I can go to the market and buy these very necessary supplies.

Note : Now , we are using fire for cooking and baking , and the price of a kilo of firewood is almost (2€ )

The flour we have , contains worms and weevils and is expired.
