#what is wrong with Josh Kushner ?

So I was watching a short video clip of Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner leaving a restaurant in Miami on July 28th.

I don’t claim to be a body language expert but I am a people watcher. The entire chain of events seems pretty off at least by my standards.

As they leave the restaurant Karlie hurries to keep up with him and is caught reaching out for his arm. Did he forget he was with her???

When she catches his arm from behind he just continues at his fast pace not slowing down to walk WITH her ( as a “normal” couple would / should do) The lack of intimacy is screaming at this scene. No smiles, no closeness, no connection, no conversation just numbing emptiness.

As he reaches the car he drops her hand and walks around to the drivers side not even making any gestures to her or even bothering to look her way.

Karlie then opens the passenger side of the car for herself. The energy she gives off is of someone who is alone and is used to being alone. She had no expectations for him to open her car door or display any form of intimacy.

Karlie then gets in the car and that’s the end of the clip. But the taste it left still lingers.

Like I said I’m not a body language expert but I’ve people watched all my life.

This was a pathetic display of what a real and or happy relationship should not look like.

No communication, no eye contact, no closeness, no happiness, no shared bond, no protective gestures Or curiosity from her “man” and their energy feels separate as opposed to how a united married couple’s should feel. You would never know they just shared a dinner together. They probably spent the entire dinner on their respective phones.

One can only hope . Free Karlie Kloss. It’s time to go

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or more of an observation: this fandom is very much not normal about gay men. It makes a 100% sense that conversations about homophobia in the fandom mainly are about sapphic swifties, because they are a huge part of the fandom and face intense harassment. Men generally are less prominent within the fandom, so I see why people don't always think about how they are spoken about. However, because of this and the fact that "twitter gays" are enemy of the state for swifties on that platform because of their frequent dislike of Taylor, it can feel like homophobia geared towards gay men is a free for all. And I don't just mean the absolutely horrendous comments people leave on Twitter, but also the way people talk about Joe's "lack" of masculinity or make jokes about him being bi* in a way that reduce (male) bisexuality to something ridiculous. Even the anon you got after somebody said Joe would have been good in Challengers felt (unintentionally) dismissive of him potentially playing a gay role. Why is that? This might also be a tumblr thing where the demographic of the website is a bit different then on twitter, but the fact that one of the main groups that regularly get harrassed by Swifties are gay men is frequently ignored and that rubs me the wrong way, and I think it relates to how the fandom in general talks about gender and sexuality.

*addition: the assumption that Joe must be queer because of his quiet demeanor or the field he works in was huge in the fandom at some point and it has always felt icky to me and very much tied to traditional gender roles, which is something this fandom is very infected by. But this was also very en vogue in gaylor spaces, for obvious reasons, but there is also a convo to be had about how gay women don't always treat gay men with dignity or respect. (Their male privilege is not a catch all excuse.)

you're preaching to the choir here. it stems from the same issues of misogyny and homophobia as the anti-wlw sentiments though. like, it's wrong for women to express sexual desire over another woman, especially one like taylor, whose femininity is pretty paramount to her persona. and in comparison to uber-masculine travis, joe becomes "gay," just like josh kushner was called gay in kaylor circles because of his ~mannerisms~ or perceived lack of masculinity. there are many other things to say about this phenomenon but it should be very obvious to everyone by now that swifties (like the rest of the world, but it's highly visible in this fandom due to who taylor is and how she looks) have very intense opinions about what femininity and masculinity should look like. and if someone in the universe steps out of line then it's criticized pretty openly.

All I can give you is my own opinion which is this—both Karlie—and Josh by omission really—have made it clear for many years that they are liberal leaning/democratic. As a “couple” neither of them post about supporting Trump, and have gone out of their way to make it known they arent thrilled with the familial association

You can make the argument that you can’t chose what family you are born into, but you can chose who you are friends with/ hang out with. Taylor is showing us that the Mahomes political leanings aren’t a deal breaker for her even though they actively support everything she stood against during Lover and Miss Americana. Dave Portney is worthy of a thank you note and hugs from her family in VIP even though the Wikipediae entry on him shows that he’s an absolute fucking wanker especially to women

Karlie, in contrast has been seen with her Kusher relatives very rarely over the length of her “marriage” and she actively supports politicians and causes that are in direct opposition to them. She has never faltered or changed in her political stance that I am aware of—she is steadfast in her moral compass

Taylor has no moral compass, her choices are based on what benefits her the most at the time, and there doesn’t need to be consistency because she doesn’t actually care

Submission: Levi is a real kid- Josh and Mikey’s by surrogate

This is just a theory but, it is my opinion that Josh and Mikey had a surrogate carry their children at the same time as Karlie’s pregnancies. Likely, the second official baby Karlie has will be “another boy” while in reality, she will have a second girl. Then, at the end of the day many years into the future after the taylor’s coming out, the joshlie split, and kaylor reunion, it will be revealed that Taylor and Karlie had two girls. This will allow Taylor and Karlie’s daughters to have a (more) normal childhood out of the public eye (contrast with someone like north west say, who has had a very unique and famous childhood). 

I think the long game entails having the general public piece together over a very long period of time how very fake it ~all~ was. What I do not know is how they are going to go about Karlie’s stunting with Levi and the second boy as they grow up and before the girls are revealed; of course karlie needs to be seen with them sometimes so people don’t accuse her of being a bad mother. Perhaps they will go the “very private” route like they did with toe. But maybe it will be a divorce situation where Levi and boy #2 spend their actual time with Josh and Mikey and meet up with karlie very occasionally for pics that she will latergram to look like they split the time with her.

Yet another (unhinged, but who would be surprised) option would be to have the divorce story be that karlie cheated on Josh with Taylor. Then they could say that Josh got custody of the kids in the divorce because karlie was “in the wrong” for cheating. This would allow karlie to post fewer pics with the boys and possibly get a bit of sympathy thrown her way at the time of the split. People will be so shocked/enamored/horrified by the high romance and excitement of “cheated with Taylor swift” the drama of which will distract somewhat from karlie “losing custody.” As long as there’s an occasional pic of her with the boys, people will be satisfied, and Taylor doesn’t have to ever be seen with them because karlie doesn’t have custody. Then they raise their actual daughters behind closed doors and reveal their existence after they are adults or when the girls are capable of choosing that for themselves.

SR: The first paragraph is part of the reason that I have felt strongly that their first child is a girl (the opposite of the child that Karlie is showing) so that her actual child is not labeled a Kushner. I feel as you do that they will do the same thing here. He will post the opposite sex of their true second child. But, I would find it very bizarre if Karlie keeps up this Levi and to-be-named second child narrative with photos for years after their fake divorce. She needs better lawyers or advisors if she signed up for that type of contract.

I hope these are in the correct order. It’s a post that’s been done with a lot of research into Travis’s interviews and social media likes and a giant bunch of conjecture as to how this means he’s been thirsting after Insta Models for ages, even when with Taylor and that these likes are always meant to be hitting on whichever girl receives a like. And a lot of really unkind things being stated and implied about Travis being a not good man.

I want this here for posterity. I have a feeling that this is going to stick. I think they’re going to run with this - or another - theory/story about how Travis is actually Not A Good Man. They need to villainize him somehow. With Joe it was him being boring, plain, a bad actor and I forget what else. They couldn’t go hard on him because he didn’t do a whole lot wrong. But look at what they’ve done to Josh Kushner and loads of other boyfriends. They need to convince themselves that the guy is Bad and therefore it’s Only PR and now they can openly hate him.

Prior to this, you can’t openly hate on someone who hasn’t done much to acts problematic. But if they’re problematic, oh they’ll amplify the shit out of it ans then pile on lies based on other conjecture and theory that now becomes fact.

I saw this happen a lot in Gaylor spaces on Reddit. For example: They’ve taken all the Kaylor lore and what isn’t lore, but lore-adjacent+lies and made it into fact. People LOVE bringing up that Taylor wore a bi-pride bracelet as her own statement about herself.

This bothers me because if you were a fan during Lover, you know exactly how she got that bracelet and context really matters in this case.

Do you guys remember the Lover Secret Sessions had Taylor’s homemade rice krispy bars? They were “bi” colored, meaning they had purple, blue and pink on them. That’s what they say about her “bi-colored” wig on YNTCD, even though the top third of her hair was green. So it went Green, Purple, Blue, Pink.

Anyway, Gaylors now cite Taylor wearing a bracelet that says pride and is in bi colors on one of Lover Secret Session insta posts. What they forget is all of those bracelets on her arm that she posted, and there were many, were given to her by fans.

That isn’t proof. But they’ve turned it INTO proof because there’s so many new Gaylors who weren’t around back then.

Now, they’re going to trash Travis and it is all conjecture and lies.

Idk if in the us is different but in my country to get married you don't need the same religion like obviously i get that it's the proper thing if you want to get married in front of the religion or smth but i have jewish friends and their partners haven't converted they just got married with a paper and a ceremony you know the legal stuff. ttb has a huge issue with not listening to what minority groups are saying and of instead being stubborn and acting like she knows better than said minority groups.

examples:

when people asked her to stop calling the kushners and scooters "rats" bc of the long history behind jewish people being portrayed as rats to dehumanize them (esp during the holocaust), but she refused to listen and kept doing it.

when bi fans told her things she was saying were biphobic, and she kept saying those things and insisting there was nothing wrong with it.

a legitimate Jewish publication stated in an article today that Karlie Kloss did not convert to Judaism when she married Joshua Kushner. interesting. i don’t think karlie is lying about her conversion. i think she converted and this publication got info wrong despite evidence to the contrary (like karlie’s own words and a confirmation in people magazine).

It's so frustrating to see people making excuses for Karlie based on Taylor's lyrics. What did you really expect?? Taylor admitting that her wife has made (and continues to do so) some terrible, miscalculated business and life choices which have put both of them in a horrible position? That Karlie's closest former (SB) and current (JK) business partners are responsible for the loss of her masters and possibly the derail of all her c.o. plans?

That her wife, despite the misery and pain caused to millions by the Kushner krime family, still hangs around them? That she allows (potentially) their innocent child to partake in photo-ops with them and be perceived as a member of that notorious family? Taylor would never do such thing, and of course she would instead focus on the best aspects of Karlie, and good for her. But let's not use it as “proof” that Karlie has done nearly no wrong, and is extremely honorable, and the reason she does all she does is because Taylor asks her to?! Do you really want us to believe that Taylor asked Karlie to stage pap shoots of convicted criminal Charles Kushner with Levi? Did she also ask Karlie to bring Josh to the women's march??

Forget about the Kushners. Did Taylor ask Karlie to hang around the likes of Geffen and Russian oligarchs too? Please... Cause the one time Taylor dared to call Karlie out in one of her most revealing songs “maybe YOU run with the wolves and REFUSED to settled down” most kaylors suffered selective memory loss. The same thing that happened, when before the faux wedding, numerous sources were saying that KK & Josh wanted to become the new DvF & Barry Diller. Or was this also a plan of Taylor's?

I get feeling protective of Karlie, I do to against unreasonable hate, but not all criticism is unreasonable or unfair. And to pin most of her actions on Taylor is both unfair and unfounded. Taylor owning up to her fair share of blame through her music doesn't preclude the possibility that Karlie bears the biggest share. Regardless of how a hopeless romantic likes to portray the love of her life in her art. There are indisputable facts which contradict said portrayal... as for now at least.

I'm an older kaylor, I've stuck with the girls through thick and thin, but I refuse to gaslight myself into turning an extremely well-connected multi-millionaire into a hapless victim, because I can't accept that sadly she's seemingly slowly turning into the company she keeps.

we are at a turning point. taylor’s life’s work was just bought up by scooter braun and it is important for everyone to read this perspective because as swifties we have to understand the full gravity of the situation in order to best defend taylor against her worst nightmare. you may think the kimye situation is terrible enough, but add to it this:

Scooter has been a manager for a one joshua kushner for the better part of this decade. as in, the brother of the guy who is running major arms of our whitehouse without qualification. scooter’s job is to improve his client’s image as it relates to securing foreign investments as josh is a uh.... ‘venture capitalist’ in charge of investing his family’s assets. if you’ve been looking into scooter, go ahead and look into him too.

josh started being seen with then 19 year old (think about that) rising star karlie kloss. considering the amount of push in tabloids that this otherwise nobody started getting, these two are easily identifiable as a PR relationship. he does work with many overseas investors, and karlie helps bring them in where josh alone cannot (please take the time to look up about PR relationships and how common they are. also look up ‘bearding’ and how common it is to set up a PR relationship so that a manager can better mask who a client loves, should that be problematic to a target demographic)

taylor and karlie were formally introduced to one another at the end of 2013. they became best best friends. inseparable. seen together everywhere. anytime they are together their happiness is palpable.

did you know there was a slice of pavement in new york city by where karlie lives with the initials TS♡KK engraved? they were thick as thieves!

...well, okay, they got caught kissing (we think that’s what Dancing With Our Hands Tied is about). but let’s say they were drunk? regardless, the smiles don’t lie—i think it goes without saying that taylor and karlie were important to one another. karlie influenced taylor to stay in new york, for example, instead of moving to london. karlie changed the trajectory of taylor’s life.

and you know they meant the world to one another because of songs with specific lyrics pointing to that like You Are In Love (taylor had an instagram post of her and karlie road tripping at big sur with the caption ‘on the way home’), and on reputation with songs like King Of My Heart (‘drinking beer out of plastic cups’ ... google “taylor swift beer” and see what photos come up), and Dress (watch her perform it with karlie watching, as she sings “i don’t want you like a best friend”).

karlie signed with scooter and in 2016 trump assumed office. jared kushner suddenly represents our nation. from then til now karlie has grown further and further distant from taylor as her relationship with jared’s brother continues.

karlie announces her engagement to josh and the very next concert taylor sings Curious with hayley kiyoko and is in charge of the line “calling me up so late at night are we just friends? say you wanted me but you’re sleeping with him.”

the only time they are seen in public is at the nashville concert in august, and there is a photo of karlie celebrating her bachelorette with her sisters. strange that the same ambience of the photo down to the curly pink straw was replicated in You Need To Calm Down. karlie’s straw says ‘bride’ while taylor chose the word ‘lover’

after passing through karlie’s hometown, taylor sang “Speak Now” and was shaking with electricity in her delivery.

taylor comes out as a democrat. says something compelled her in the past two years to start speaking out.

karlie and josh suddenly hold a surprise wedding (coordinated by scooter’s team) while taylor is en route to australia. i say surprise because it came out of nowhere, (wouldn’t you say it took taylor by surprise?) had close to nobody documented in attendance, and the tabloid articles pushed it constantly during the bad press the kushners were getting in conjunction to ... world events involving a us citizen that was a member of the press...

taylor lands in oceania and sings I Knew You Were Trouble and slips in a firey “and the saddest fear comes creeping in that she never loved me”

on the very last night of the rep tour, a kaylor sign (representing the pavement mark) gets put up on the big screen as taylor sings “you belong with me” and bows in front of it.

in between then and the lover announcement, taylor all but confirms that half of one of the reputation concept photos is a collage of her and karlie’s eyes. ...i mean, she even encircled which eye is hers on the lover album cover 😂

because their first wedding was such a drag, karlie and josh held a ‘bigger reception,’ also coordinated by scooter’s team, and they had the audacity to give out shots of patrón as party favors 😡 taylor is not in attendance.

now scooter buys her music??

not only is this guy responsible for bad behavior surrounding kimye, he also has orchestrated the obliteration of one of the foundational relationships of taylor’s life. whether it was platonic or more than that, i don’t want to waste my time convincing you because either way, hearing scooter’s name makes taylor cry. and i am a thousand three hundred percent positive that it isn’t just about bullying surrounding kimye.

think about that. think on it.

we need to support taylor (and god am i worried about karlie in her own right!) and it goes beyond the kimye drama because this man and his client are predatory and downright creepy. and given the political connection? dangerous. they ruined her reputation and took away her best friend. literally took her name out of the pavement and ‘married’ her friend off in the eyes of the public. this goes far f*ing beyond bad management practices. this is so unforgivable.

and i cannot stand for people jumping in the comments telling us we are all delusional. honest to god i thought this was all ‘a reach’ two years ago. i was there. but i gave things the benefit of the doubt and i looked into it. i did my research on the music industry, and on hollywood and PR relationships. taylor wanted us to get political, right? please take this a step further if you already haven’t and look into the structures that control our society. taylor is dropping easter eggs for us, right? we need to look for clues. taylor is drawing attention to LGBT issues, right? look at the intersection of that and the music industry, suspend disbelief for one instant and imagine if taylor herself was gay, what her relationship with karlie may have meant to her, and how it was torn apart, at the very hands of the men who took over her music.

i am being serious. people calling us delusional might like to tout themselves as being sane or more in touch with the world, but they are literally sticking their heads in the sand on this one and turning a blind eye on something that is so cutting for taylor... now and over the course of her whole career. and each and every one of them best get off anon and stick a name to their words and proudly stick a pin to their comments, and @ taylor (i am dead serious. at your words to @taylorswift) if they are oh so confident, because when this blows open they’ll be on the wrong side of history on this one and i want them to know it and own it and learn from it. because this a huge life lesson and we are poised to take what we learn and give back to our idol by defending her in full force and it’s harder to fight when you’re sitting on your hands.. what role are you going to play? please... make the jump.

Debunking Josh & Karlie’s Reasons to Beard

One of the biggest lies repeated in Gaylor fandom is that Karlie Kloss was ‘basically out’ when she first started modelling as a teenager in 2006. This is absolutely, unequivocally not true. We have not found a single shred of evidence to suggest that she had a reputation for being a fruitcake - and while you might want to believe that’s because she was underage, that did not stop speculation around Kaia Gerber a decade or so later (when it is far more acceptable to be queer). 

Karlie’s supposed teenage sweetheart was fellow model Toni Garrn. Now, the only evidence that supports this is this one errant tweet from March 2012 which, frankly, reads more like a joke than actual tea. The woman who posted it, Suvi Koponen Riggs, is a fellow model (who is straight herself or at least in a het relationship currently). She’s also not a first language English speaker, so it’s possible she made a mistake rather than a joke. Either way, Suvi then deleted her tweet, which I think added to speculation around whether or not it was ‘true’. But even the folks over on the L Chat agree with this reading of Torlie. Now the L Chat is a hellhole of transphobia, biphobia, and general ickiness, but is also a hotspot for ardent speculation about celesbians or rumored celesbians (they cover Taylor every which way) and I went there so you don’t have to. Back in 2016, here’s what they said when discussing Karlie’s ‘rumors’. When the folks on the L Chat are questioning lesbian rumors instead of fueling them it’s… 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you still think Torlie might’ve happened, I’m curious what you’d make of the extremely close friendship these two women have maintained since ‘breaking up’. I’m not going to do the full round up because I don’t care enough about German model Toni Garrn but here’s a photo of them the night Kaylor allegedly met, here’s one of them in 2017, here they are in 2019, and here is Toni at Karlie’s WEDDING. She regularly calls Karlie her wife/husband which is classic straight girl behavior and would be downright psychotic if they had dated at any stage ever.

Prior to Taylor coming into the picture, Karlie Kloss was generally regarded as straight. This is a simple fact.

But Josh wasn’t, right? Wrong. Joshua Kushner had a serious relationship with a Nice Jewish Girl through college and beyond, breaking up only in late 2011 or early 2012. I am sure of this, but will not be giving her name here because she’s not in the public eye beyond being wealthy and she’s married with kids and exposing her to y’all’s possible craziness seems unfair. The point is, she was at all family functions and had the parental stamp of approval - something Karlie would not obtain for many, many years. You’re welcome to do more research on this, but please don’t veer into invasiveness! It’s not cool. We do not condone dark shipping ever - but most especially when non celebs and children are involved. 

The only gay rumors we’ve found for Josh sprung up after Kaylor, and the loudest seem to be around his relationship with fellow douchey heir extraordinaire Mikey Hess. The problem is, the two of them have been friends for years and, in fact, the entire Hess and Kushner clans are very friendly (hence Mikey sometimes being at family events - his parents are also fucking there because they’re all friends). The parents get along. The other siblings all get along. This rumor is a little like suggesting Tay dated Abi (she didn’t). This is not to say that you can’t fall in love with your preschool bff, but it’s not exactly a common occurrence.  

I’ve also seen people say: “the reason there were no rumors is because Josh and Mikey are not famous” which is completely untrue. There was a lot of gossip about them being entitled, privileged assholes. There was plenty of gossip about them on college forums and such, but let’s consider a couple formal publications... Here is a 2006 article hating on Josh. Here is a 2009 article hating on Josh. Here is an article from 2013 laying into Mikey. They are entitled, privileged, white assholes… And if anyone had believed they were boning, they would’ve definitely discussed it.  Some of the Harvard forums that discussed these guys completely bashed them for being coddled assholes and entitled pricks and no one ever, not once, called them gay.  

This was well before Hillary Duff made it illegal to use gay as in insult so these gossip forums and/or actual publications would have certainly mentioned gay rumors if there had been any.

And, no, a posed picture of Josh with his arm around a dude is not evidence he’s gay. The fact that people think it is speaks to internalized ideas of toxic masculinity and patriarchy. Straight men are allowed to be affectionate with one another! You don’t have to be Dan fucking Bilzerian in order to be straight. In fact, we want to encourage more caring and affectionate straight men, and fewer Dans!! Ffs. 

Anyway, when they met in 2012 neither Karlie, nor Josh, had any reason to seek out a beard.
