I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways

I rewatched a whole bunch of WWDITS season 6 back to back with some friends who hadn't caught up yet before the episode 9 drop at midnight, and I think I had an even better time watching it the second time around with other people haha.

This season has REALLY been bringing all the wacky sitcom shenanigans

Honestly the conversations that were had at All-Minds-Burn feel like the best summary of what’s probably going on internally with Ashton and has been since roughly Issylra.

The whiplash of their mental state in the span of like 30 minutes. Being told by one of their childhood friends who left them to die that they’ve always been pretty broken. Then the second another one of his closest childhood friends expresses some fear towards him he’s like. “Yeah. Even though I really don’t want to hurt you I literally can’t promise that I won’t because I’m broken and can’t control myself.” Obviously Imogen HEARS all this so the second they leave she’s reassuring them that they’re an important part of the group as well as someone ~ special ~ and INSTANTLY he’s jumping on it like. “Yeah, of course! We’re all SO special. I already knew that. Let’s go save the world together.”

Truly encapsulates the wild up and downs recently of being told they’re simultaneously a fate bound enigma sent to aid in saving the world as well as a dangerous vessel to unknowable ancient powers who could kill everyone into such a shorter period of time lmao

Rescue 77 S01E03 A Bumpy Ride.

i don't have a point here except ???, but i realized today that starsky & hutch episode the psychic a) was written by micheal mann of (among many other things) classic crime thriller heat fame, and b) contains a baffling amount of (references to) crossdressing. it's one of the two episodes that opens with starsky and hutch chasing a guy in a dress (which gives us the "well i don't know, you('d) look rather nice in basic black and pearls" starsky-to-hutch line), later on they interrupt a robbery being committed by ANOTHER guy in a dress (and grey wig, posing as an old lady - presumably with the intent to disguise his identity rather than express some part of it, but who knows), and THEN they meet a hot lady mechanic who among many fast lines says to starsky "i'm really a basketball player in drag. whatever turns you on, honey" (interestingly timely, considering starsky's earlier comment about hutch). and finally, not entirely related but also not unrelated, there's these people at a laundromat hutch hits up on his mad phone chase at the end of the episode:
