GN reader
Warnings:Mild possessiveness, observation.

Yandere platonic! Galatea, Grace, Yidhra, Mary and Michiko with a child! reader who is afraid of them.
Tumblr media
Galatea Claude
Tumblr media
Sisterly affection.
Galatea simply doesn't care if you are afraid of her, she tries to get closer to you. Only because she saw in you a tenderness, a sister's tenderness.
Even if she doesn't care much for the fact that you are afraid of her, she still finds herself a little bit, will try to make you lose your fear. Whether it is by giving little handmade gifts or just showing a little affection.
She does all this. Because remembering the affection she didn't have in her childhood, and looking at you, a child, makes her want to hold you and care for you like a sister does.
She will make you lose your fear.
She just wants to hold you and never let go. Like a sister.
Grace
Tumblr media
Sisterly affection.
Grace is very disappointed to find out that you are afraid of her.
Grace can't think of any reason why you should be afraid of her. But she will accept it.
She won't be on top of you all the time, but she will make sure that you are okay. Even if you don't like her presence very much.
Grace views you with a fondness, a platonic fondness. It was the first time Grace felt comfortable in the presence of a human, a human child.
Even if you are always afraid of her presence.
Grace also feels the desire to protect you, because of her troubled past, and is very afraid of you seeing humans, afraid that they will do the same thing they did to her.
Grace will protect you, like a sister.
Yidhra
Tumblr media
Motherly affection.
I think Yidhra would be amused to see you afraid of her. She thinks it's funny about how desperate you are to see one of her followers following you. But Yidhra would feel a little, I say, a little guilty. But she has no regrets.
Even though Yidhra is sadistic with everyone, she takes it easy on you. She doesn't scare you so much, and if you get too scared, she just stops what she's doing.
Yidhra is incredibly affectionate to you, even though you have never actually seen her before.
She sends her followers to deliver things for you, be it strangely strange things that you have never seen or heard of. You didn't even know what it was, and you didn't care.
Yidhra would feel a great platonic affection for you, and I dare say it is a maternal affection. But she is very strange, so I can't decide if she has a maternal or platonic affection for you.
She really thinks you are a very interesting child.
You always feel someone watching you when you are sleeping.
Michiko
Tumblr media
Motherly affection.
If Michiko realizes that you are afraid of her because of her Prajna form, Michiko will try to spend less time in Prajna form, and more time in beauty form. In the hope that you will lose your fear.
Michiko will try to show more affection, and spend more time with you.
Michiko feels an enormous maternal love blooming in her heart at the sight of you, because in her mind, you are her child. Even if you are not of blood.
If you start to lose your fear, Michiko would feel very victorious. And she will be smiling all day long. Even after losing a match.
She will treat you as her child, sometimes even asking you to call her Mom, and if you do, she would be smiling and proud for the rest of the day.
Michiko will protect you, no matter what.
Mary
Tumblr media
Motherly affection.
Mary would feel a little offended when she realized that you are afraid of her.
However, Mary doesn't know why you were afraid of her, and wouldn't even try to pressure you to tell. Because she knew that it's not nice to be forced to talk or do anything.
Mary thinks you are an adorable child, who feels like taking you out of that game
Mary would try to show more affection. Either with words or with gestures. She also wouldn't be the type to be too clingy like Michiko, but she's not that distant either.
She keeps wondering what such a young child is doing in such a horrible game.
Mary would feel a great deal of maternal affection toward you, which is no surprise to anyone. When Mary gets a chance, she gives you a long hug, which lasts about three minutes. And you come out of it much calmer.

Post Silver Snow in which Dimitri survived… They are doing their best to reconstruct everything that was destroyed in the war and both are plagued with survivor guilt.
Byleth took Dimitri as her prince consort for political reasons. Faerghus is happy he survived and his blood will go on into the new royal family.
They are now trying to have her first heir but both are falling apart at the seams because they are dumbasses who cannot communicate and are trying to pretend the almost every day baby making is for Fodlan when they are stupidly in love and way too horny about each other to properly function in society.
Also they are actively falling in love with each other even more every day now that they live together and actively participate in projects and ideas for reconstruction that made them see the other with the same feeling of hope, love and wonder of a 4 year old who just discovered his first favorite dinosaur.
Silver Snow can be hopeful if you squint really hard and lowkey forget how to read….
Yeah - I am still in denial and crying.
Anon I’m so sorry I didn’t respond right away! I wanted to give it a proper response… And then I goldfish-brain’d with it. But I’m back and ready to answer!
Honestly, having him just appear out of NOWHERE in SS is so sad… and unexpected! Sure, we rescue Claude in AM and Edie has the “I wanted to walk with you :(“ scene in VW which is just straight up lifted from SS but let’s not think too much about it but Dimitri is the only one that we got told “he super died” and then we see him. It’s so odd, and so interesting… but really freaking sad.
SO ANYWAY yes, I can see Byleth, new divine monarch of the entire continent, taking up a spouse with a claim over part of the territory. It helps de-ruffle the feathers of the nobility by giving more legitimacy to her line. So on paper, it sounds great!
However, I can see how much they both could struggle with intimacy once married. (Like. Emotional intimacy, they absolutely do not struggle to get to the actual boning.). Pre-Gronder Dimitri’s problems with intimacy are pretty obvious (bucketloads of survivor’s guilt, complicated grief, hallucinations, his maternal figure was emotionally distant, etc.) but Byleth has the combo-wombo of “my class leader was in cahoots with the jerks that killed my dad and I didn’t notice until it was too late”, “I had to kill my class leader with my own hands”, “I had to kill the person that gave me a home because she went berserk-dragon-mode” and “to me, my father died like a year ago”.
I’m not necessarily saying that Byleth would revert back to “Ashen Demon :^|” mode, but I can see how she would at first try to approach the marriage as a purely practical arrangement(which it started as) but then feel guilty that she might’ve kinda-sorta indirectly strong-armed Dimitri into becoming her spouse? Since, she is the savior of Fódlan and that title does carry some clout, especially when compared to Dimitri who has no mayor military accomplishments in the war under his belt apart from almost getting killed om the 3-way battle that was Gronder Field.
On the other hand, when Dimitri is in a bad place mentally we already know that he just shuts everybody else out and only listens to what his ghosts say. So you can imagine what the disembodied chorus of ghosts have to say about the arrangement and how it would feed into the “has no right to happiness” feeling he seems to fall back on (aka the kind of thinking that’d make a dude say “yeah I’ll be happy when I die and my subjects are happy” with no irony at all).
They could start off in “super denial” mode, then having the “oh no I like-like them” and stopping by the “it’s foolish to assume that the other like-likes me” spot before reaching, “I will do anything for their happiness so I’ll support their pet reconstruction projects to make them happy”-ville before finally arriving to “wait they like-like me too!?!!?!” destination.
Thank you so much for the ask, Nonnie! Sorry again for taking so long, but better late than never, eh?

First of all, thank you all so much for the nice reblogs on the Claude Headcanons, post, second of all
✨🌸 Hannah and the Triplets Headcanons 🌸✨
Hannah is the only Demon in the show I imagine as being very old and very powerful. She could kill Sebastian and Claude with both hands tied behind her back and it wouldn’t even be difficult for her. I also think she is a fallen Angel, unlike all the other Kuro Demons who I headcanon as humans who went to Hell
Conversely, the Triplets are all fairly young, only a couple of hundred years old, and especially individually they are fairly weak
I read on someone’s headcanons (possibly @eemoo1o-animoo) that they were one Demon broken into three, which I think is really cool, so I guess my other idea would be that they were a human soul that either as punishment or just be happenstance got broken into three
My personal headcanon is Demons can’t have kids, they just start existing, so the Triplets aren’t technically siblings, they just popped into existence in roughly the same region of Hell and have been together ever since.
Hannah saved their lives in Hell and they will now do pretty much whatever she says. They were also the first of instance of Hannah just being like ‘I’m your mum now deal with it’ (I’m electing to ignore all the weird shit about Hannah’s boobs - remember, Marie Kondo approach to canon)
She didn’t realise that what she felt for Luka was maternal love, and not hunger for his soul, and she does feel sorrow that she killed him. She had mostly taken contracts with less than pleasant humans that she was always more than happy to dispatch, so she’d never really spent much time around children.
She both wants to protect Alois from Claude for Luka’s sake, and because she felt she lost her chance to raise a child in Luka and so she sought out Alois.
She’d definitely try, but I honestly don’t know if Hannah would do a vastly better job than Claude. Other than anything else, since she barely talks to Alois, so she doesn’t really know him all that well, and he is a very different person to Luka
Also she’s approximately a bajillion years old so she definitely has 0 moral compass, even less of one than Claude or Sebastian.
The Triplets sometimes switch their partings around and pretend to be each other to fuck with Claude. Problem is, Claude doesn’t care which is which as long as things get done, so like, nobody’s winning
I think the Triplets do the ridiculous Cockney accents as a joke.
When they speak to others, they have to speak in turn. They will not speak individually. No one knows why.
Unlike sort of Claude and definitely Sebastian, Hannah has no issues reconciling her maternal feelings with her being a Demon. As previously mentioned, she is a bajillion years old and could probably kill people with her mind so she has absolutely nothing to prove. Also she has experienced all the murder and bloodshed one could ever hope to and maternal love is something relatively new to her.
Basically Hannah is mum and she’s a cool lady who can stab things and she is unfathomably old and powerful with no concept of puny human morals
Hannah is she/her and I think the Triplets are of the ‘whatever pronouns make the joke land’ persuasion.
The Triplets will obviously always side with Hannah, especially if it screws over Claude (Claude is a dick to them because he doesn’t want to deal with them and also he makes them do chores) but they really don’t have much in the way of personal stakes in the whole thing so they’re kind of just vibing
The Triplets don’t like Alois, but in an annoying younger brother way. Plus he stabbed Hannah’s eye out, so they have mild beef with him for that. It’s just as well because combined their forces of chaos would simply be too strong.
It would be cool if they were the Demons of threes, or trios. Since 3 is such a significant number, maybe it has a number, and maybe that’s why the human whose soul they were mad from was split?
Much like Claude, they do what Hannah tells them to but they’re not especially house proud.
Sebastian Michaelis, who lives at the Phantomhive manor & cleans 10,000 floors each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
Much like Claude, they just do not get why Sebastian puts so much effort in. Frankly, they think it’s weird.
They definitely fuck about when no-one’s looking
Actually entranced by light switches.
Pretended to be repelled by crosses to Alois until Hannah told them to stop.
Tldr: the Trancy Manor is chaos as well
Might make more of these at some point, but rsi is hitting to so here we are. Hope you enjoyed

@bejeweled-eyes Kristina is the protagonist and my OC for my fanfic, “A Lovely Princess and her Faithful Servant”, who acts as a maternal figure for Jennette as her nanny. That aside, modern AU headcanons:
• Modern AU is interesting because it can completely flip certain dynamics and pivotal plot elements relevant to WMMAP (such as, Claude won’t be able to murder Ana so Ana wouldn’t be dead)
• The closest Modern AU to canon would probably be fighting over the spot of CEO with Ana disappearing after having Penelope cheat on Claude, making Claude the new CEO. So we’re following this kind of general plotline.
• Jen and Athy are most likely classmates at the same highschool. In my personal opinion, Athy gives off more introverted vibes while Jen gives of extroversion (mainly based off of how Athy doesn’t appear comfortable socializing in large groups or being the center of attention + keeping the status quo relatively the same, and how Jen does like attention, socializing, and new experiences)
• Athy in all honesty isn’t particularly a genius, she just already knew certain subjects because of her reincarnated soul. So in a modern AU, Athy’s best subjects and interests would align more into business like math or accounting. Athy’s personal favorite might be something like social studies and debate for her easily fired up personality.
• Jen also isn’t a genius, she was pushed to learn complicated subjects at a young age with Athy’s unintentional influence (WMMAP). However, because of her curiosity and eagerness to learn, Jen in all honesty comes across as someone who’s really into science and/or the creatives. If she’s forced to learn something, she’ll easily grow uninterested and stressed. But if she’s allowed to go at her own pace, she learns very quickly.
• Oh, and Jen is surprisingly naturally strong. Like she caught Roger??? No problem in s3??? In physical education, Jen isn’t a very fast player, but can accidentally hit very accurately in ball centric sports.
• In contrast, Athy is a VERY fast and stealthy person. Girl was sneaking past grown women as a toddler for chocolate. Though she has average aim, she has fast reflexes and reaction time.
• Athy aims to succeed the company after her dad, so she tries hard with her Gen Ed studies later on. Because she’s studying hard, she doesn’t have much time for hobbies all too much. Athy’s the kind of friend who’s hobby is her work, so when she gets burnout she has no idea what to do.
• Meanwhile, Jen really likes chemistry. Which somehow leads to food chemistry. So she makes REALLY good food as a hobby. (Mostly based on how she made chocolates for Claude and Athy that one time)
• Jen and Athy college roommates AU? Athy the workaholic with no time to cook, and her cousin who’s practically a culinary genius who balances Athy’s (unhealthy) diet
• Jennette would open a cute little cafe or restaurant after the whole company succession drama. That kind of local store that has super super good food. Jen likes talking to people while they eat her food too, and likes hearing where they came from and their experiences
• Athy is a really good speaker because of her speech and debate classes. If she doesn’t succeed Claude’s company, she’d make an amazing lawyer in all honesty.
• Jen has potential for law, too. Remember how after Ana sweet talked her? And even while being moved, still went to check history books to find any info that could say otherwise? And then wanted to hear Athy’s side of the story before finalizing on who to believe? I will never shut up about that.
• College Roommates AU or Lawyer/Ace Attorney AU seems cool
• Oh right, the boys. Uhhh, Lucas comes off as the natural born genius who has no idea what to do with his life. He’s a straight A student, but has no idea what to do with his amazing grades. Lucas as a doctor could be cool.
• He gives me Gordon Ramsey vibes.
• “Give me the fucking scalpel or this dumbass is dying of mass blood loss in ten minutes”
• I don’t know anything about medical procedures
• Ijekiel would be the most creative of the group…?
• The academic genius who everyone expects good things for, but in reality he wants to be a writer or an artist.
• He and Lucas would be terrible for an Ace Attorney AU though. Ijekiel is heavily biased to people he likes to the point he may throw all reason, and Lucas is the same—but more violent? They’d be in the middle of a trial and Lucas would accurately call out all sorts of bull and plot holes in the culprit’s defense, but it’d be completely irrelevant to the actual case.
• Ijekiel’s more likely to do that, but calmly and align it with legal offenses, but wouldn’t be able to find how it connects to his case.
• This modern AU headcanon list turned into an attorney AU headcanon list

Can I request yandere Alois with a motherly maid reader?
With pleasure. Although you have to be specific, I'll still do it in Headconon form since you didn't tell me what you'd prefer.
Tumblr media
You're just a simple woman, you haven't known whether you're lucky or cursed. How did you end up in Trancy Manor? Simple, one day your brothers stumbled upon the capricious count.
That time you had to save their skins from the demanding nobleman. Strangely enough, Alois ended up delighted with your attitude, but jealous at the same time.
Your brothers don't deserve to have you, so he ordered Claude to come after you.
"My master has offered you a job, how you respond is not my problem" Were the crude and cold words of the demon towards your fate.
The difficulty was, you knew about the blond boy's bad reputation, so you obeyed; fearing to anger him like your first encounter where your naive little brothers almost died.
You lied about going back, since you walked in the door and didn't come back, you walked away from your loved ones.
Now that you've witnessed it better and a year has passed since then; you can't help but understand your employer's attitudes.
Alois is just a child whose life has been through too many misfortunes and despite that, perhaps it should not be used as an excuse. That doesn't change his cruel and capricious actions.
Despite this, your maternal instincts kick in unconsciously. You feel a pity for this boy, even though he is your employer and at first you were just another critter in this mansion.
When it comes to his whims, he reminds you of a cat clamoring for attention and being somewhat mean to its owner. However, he reminds you of your old life, where you lived with your siblings and used to take care of them.
As painful as it is to know, not being able to see them anymore. From the beginning can be wise, when this count wants something and is infatuated, he doesn't let go.
If there's one thing the blond loves about you, it's your care.
How you genuinely care about him. Even if you were careful at first, you tried to do your job; you knew about his bipolar and how he could threaten you with your siblings.
You were afraid, yes, but gradually you broke through that fear and became attached to Alois.
On weekends, you do recreational activities, giving your full attention to the child.
There are times when his emotional outbursts hurt him physically, you find yourself in the obligation to heal his wounds.
Sometimes you wonder why there is no news from your siblings? And what you don't know, the blond boy killed them.
He would never allow your warmth, love and sweet words to be from others. You have never tried to escape because you were aware of the horrors it would entail, and you cherished your life, that's why he didn't tell you of his cruel acts towards your siblings.
Those flies were always crawling around, sending you letters and sometimes getting to the point where they went to the mansion gate.
That's why you should get rid of the pests as soon as possible, otherwise it would jeopardize your relationship. What's the use of thinking about them when you have him? You will be his perfect sister.
And alois would do the impossible for you, just keep being a good girl, and you won't know the horrible truths he hides from you, all while acting naive. Believing every lie, It's better this way, with a happy family!
Sorry it took me so long to reply, I had exams and stayed up late studying hahahaha fuck school TT

Over & Over, Honey
Tumblr media
Content warnings: nsfw (mdni), pregnancy
Pairing: Claude x fem!reader
Author’s note: me, writing this: I’ll fix this family with my. bare. hands. Anyway, this is a sorta part two to A Pearl. You don't really need to read it to get this one, though.
Song: Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart - Mitski
Tumblr media
‘There’s nobody better than you’ The thought occurred to Claude every time he saw you. Though he loathed to admit it out loud, you were making him a better man. He was happier than he had ever been. The anxiety still crept into his heart now and again but with you, he could let it pass through and forget. His rage was always calmed when he saw your eyes. Although you never judged him as bad or good, to you, he only wanted to show a version of himself that could be good.
So when you encountered the daughter he had purposely forgotten, only 3 years old, it made his heart clench in fear for more reasons than one. Though, calm as always, once you came to understand who and what exactly she was, you only gave your insight. “I’ve accepted all parts of you, good and evil. That’s why I feel comfortable telling you that what you did to that child was awful. But unlike many of the things in life you’ve done, you have another chance to change the outcome” You said “It’s your choice to make, not mine. Whatever you decide to do, whether you decide to develop a relationship with her or leave her be, do it for yourself and your daughter. Not for me.”
Your serene face showed no reproach. Somehow your lack of open judgement made him feel worse. What else could he do? Hearing you talk about what he had done, having you know, made all the unpleasant feelings flood back in. Maybe you were his external conscience. It’s true that the unpleasant knowledge of your concealed sadness was the main thing that made him want to make things right but it didn’t stay that way.
He met his daughter often, without you. At first, she was a curiosity. Her mannerisms, her clumsiness, her childish sayings. He had claimed they were annoying, even insolent at times but you knew they were growing on him. Now that he had worked through the pain of losing Diana and forgiven her, he also had to work through the last remnant of that pain that he had taught himself to forget. He had to make peace with the daughter who bore such a strong resemblance. It was a deeply personal experience that you didn’t want to interfere in.
Although it was painfully awkward at first, the two grew close enough to spend hours in the day with each other and you were glad. He was even beginning to act like a proper dad, carrying her properly and all. Slowly, you began to forge your own relationship with Athy. You never wanted to be her surrogate mother, you weren’t even sure how to do that, honestly. You just wanted to be someone who could help her, someone she could go to for comfort, for advice, for anything you could give. Even though you were her stepmother, she already had a mother and she already had a mother figure, the most useful thing you could be to her was a friend.
She took to you well. You were easy for her to like. She looked for you often and it wasn’t an unusual sight to see you carrying her in your arms around the palace. She took comfort in your soothing voice and how you would chide Claude when he teased her. In her head, she called you “Angel” for your demeanor and beauty.
Claude had formed his own relationship and love for Athy outside of his desire to show you he could be good. They had become a family. You could finally rest easily knowing that Claude was doing his best to repair his wrongs and that Athy had forgiven him. They were ready to include you in their dynamic. You thought that you could never be her mother but Athy was a bit more open minded than you thought. She had grown up being raised by multiple maids that she viewed as maternal figures. She had always known she could have more than one “mother.” She eagerly accepted you as her stepmother without ever letting go of the other women who had a hand in raising her.
Somehow, finding this makeshift family made you feel more grounded. Becoming a mother felt permanent. You were connected to Athy as you were tied to Claude. Even if you left this world, they were a part of you. You could keep them in your heart like pressed flowers between book pages. The peace of that was everything. It made your relationship with Claude even stronger.
Every time you got alone with Claude, the two of you were all over each other. The maids could barely get in to clean. Maybe it was the fact that in addition to his political duties, he had Athy and couldn’t spend as much time with you. Both of you felt so immensely pent up. He just wanted you. When you only had a bit of time to spare, you visited his office, he put his hand between your legs not bothering to stifle your moans at all. Making you twitch each time his thumb made a pass over your clit. The way your hips stuttered while you were trying to rub yourself against him, he couldn’t help but smile against your lips.
To make you cum on his fingers and get back to work were his only intentions until you began to rub him through his pants. You smiled impishly as you simply ran your pointer finger over his bulge. You could feel his cock twitch when you finally reached the tip and circled over it. You were very shamelessly teasing him. Claude wouldn’t dare admit it but he liked it when you did this, he loved that quiet confidence you possessed as you worked him up with only a finger.
That’s why he didn’t pull your hand away when you pulled his cock out and started stroking making sure to go slowly. Precum trickled down his cock as you circled a thumb around the tip, smearing it all over the head. You looked up at him, a glint of playfulness in your eyes, silently asking for permission. He was only supposed to make you cum quickly before returning to work. That had already gone out the window, though. He slid your panties all the way down your legs as an answer.
You were on top of his desk, papers spread all over and spilling onto the floor. The embarrassing wet sounds of him filling your cunt over and over, seemed to almost echo. Of course, you were beyond caring, you felt no shame. Claude was holding you so tightly you thought there would be finger sized bruises left outside of your thighs. Still, you wished he would hold you tighter.
He wanted you so much he could eat you whole. His face was buried in your neck, kissing you, moans sending ticklish vibrations through you. He inhaled your scent that clouded his head, always made him feel tipsy. Your scent worked like an aphrodisiac. When you were gone, he'd scoop up your robe and inhale. He'd be hard in an instant and wishing he could be wherever you were.
You had your arms wrapped around him, so close you could hear his heartbeat. Claude's pace was slow, despite the urgency he felt. He fucked you deep, pressing the spot that made it impossible not to cry out over and over. With each thrust, you felt your insides becoming more drenched. This was something that did not escape Claude's notice as he reveled in the feeling of your slick cunt. He couldn't help but speed up, laughing a little at your gasps.
Your trembling hands bring Claude's face back to yours and you kiss, both of you moaning into each other's mouths. The sensation of his tongue in your mouth, his cock pressing against your walls, his hand snaked between your legs with his thumb kept pressed against your clit. It was getting to be too much. You begged him to cum inside you, like it was the only phrase you knew. At your begging, his control which was stretched paper thin, snapped. You felt so good, so wet, so tight, your pussy was fluttering and throbbing around him. And then there was this, you begging him in such a pretty voice. It was something that happened when you were within a hair breadth of cumming, you would mindlessly whisper in his ear and beg him.
Who was he not to oblige?
Even when you came, Claude didn't slow down at all. He relentlessly pounded into you, as you dug your nails into his back, as you cried out from overstimulation. Claude's skin was slightly sweaty, eyes trained on the sight of you coming undone before him. His lips were red from your kisses and parted. He looked fucking filthy. Pink, flushed cheeks were a good look for your Emperor. He always looked so calm, untouchable, indifferent before; It was nice to know you could make him like this. You made the most ungodly moans as he fucked you through your orgasm and his. He came a lot. So much that it dripped out of you and onto the desk.
Your entire body went slack. Your face was buried in his chest so you couldn't see him looking down at you with a grin. He rubbed your back, with one hand massaging your scalp the way he knows you love.
It was always like this, Claude always thought he would simply get you off but he was never able to control himself to that extent. Not when it came to you. You knew that and from the deepest part of you, you thoroughly enjoyed it. People always thought of you as the emperor’s woman but more than that, he was your man. You were the only person who could ever bend Claude in any direction. You influenced him in more ways that he was willing to admit. You never forced your whims on him, it came out his own desire to give to you.
You found out you were pregnant a few months later. It wasn't planned, you hadn't even spoken to Claude about children. You figured the topic was a sore subject. There was certain kind of tea that was used as a form of birth control. You had been using it every time you had sex and it had worked fine...until now, of course. You thought everything would be stable, at least for a time. You felt secure before but now, there was bound to be uncertainty, fear and anxiety. Even in the best case scenario, things would be stressful for both you and Claude, welcoming a new life into the world was no simple feat. It would break open old wounds, stir up new anxieties.
Although the pregnancy was sudden and unplanned, you wanted to have your child. Whatever happened, you wanted them. But you were worried about Claude’s reaction. You knew him and you knew he wouldn’t hurt you like you knew the sun would rise each day, what concerned you was how he would feel. The arrival of a child wasn't easy for any couple even without the complexities of Claude’s situation.
You didn’t know how to tell him. So you decided to be straightforward. What else could you do? It was late at night, when he went back to his bedroom. You told him as soon as he closed the door. He stilled for a moment. “What?” He asked. His voice was sharp.
"I'm pregnant" You said, calmly. You were prepared for the worse that could come of the situation. You had preemptively accepted whatever outcome would result. You were almost floating above everything, emotionally detached.
Claude was silent, his eyes wide, fists clenched and trembling. He wasn't even looking at you. For someone who didn't know him, his reaction could be perceived as rage but you had known him long enough to recognize it as fear. You would be a fool not to know why. Your emotions flooded back in as you watched him silently grapple with old fears renewed.
He needed reassurance. You stepped toward him. "Claude" You called, softly. You reached out and touched him, resting your hand against his cheek. "Claude." His eyes finally met yours, trying to appear stoic. "Nothing is going to happen to me, I feel sure of that. But even if something does, even if I should meet the same end, you need to know that I will never leave you. I'll be gone from your sight, that's all. I choose you, Claude, every single day; wherever I am, you will be a part of me." You began, voice soft as the whispering breeze. "The world, your world will continue on even if you can't see me. Even when I'm no longer a body, just a ghost living in your garden. You'll still have people who will need you can't let them down. Not again."
Claude heard the warmth in your words but your hand was shaking. Your face held a tender expression but there was also fear in your voice. You shared his fears, you prayed that he never had to experience what he'd already gone through, again. You didn't fear your death, you feared the impact. Claude was calmed, brought back to reality by focusing on your words. You chose him. The words made his heart sting. It always amazed him, the sincerity in your commitment to love him. He didn't deserve to be loved this way but that didn't mean that he didn't lean into it like a plant reaching for the sunlight. He had only been thinking of himself again when you were the one...the one who must have been more afraid.
He had thought he had gotten past it but he was still afraid. He would always be afraid. Maybe that was what part of loving something that could be touched by death was, being afraid. But he wasn't the only one. How could he have only thought of how desperate he was not to lose you? You were feeling just the same and yet you extended your hand to him. You comforted him when he should have been the one to do so. He took you into his arms, burying his face in your hair. "I'm...sorry" He said, awkwardly, as if the words didn't suit him. Before you, he was humbled. He was human. “I’m sorry” He said again, lips against the top of your hair.
Your eyes as you gazed at him were glossy and too pretty to disappoint. Whenever he looked you, he felt anxious knowing that he would give anything for you. It was a frightening feeling to know that there was potential for emotional ruin even greater than Diana’s death had caused. And it was out of his control whether you stayed or whether you went. Claude strived for control over his own life but this…he had to surrender to you. But before it could bring him any anger or melancholy, those eyes comforted him somehow. There was a certain peace that came with it, in knowing that however temporary your bodies were, there was permanence to what you had. What you had would outlast death, whether yours or his and even if that didn’t remove the fear, he felt appeased in that moment. Claude had always been slow to believe, hesitant and skeptical. But there was something convincing in your sincerity. What you believed is what he wanted to believe.
For the first time, Claude earnestly wished for something. He wished he could be the man he ought to be. He was better than he used to be, but it was still a work in progress. When you talked about him, you talked about what you saw in him and not what he used to be and he almost felt like maybe he could be the man he ought to be. As you rested against his chest, his scent and the sound of his heartbeat slowly calming you down, Claude ruminated on this.
He wanted to be what you needed, even if he had to wait. Even if it was hard. Even if sometimes he didn’t exactly understand what it meant to that person. Before your eyes, he wanted to be the man you could lean on. So that you could do whatever you wanted, get whatever you wanted, talk however you wanted and whatever messes you made, whatever emotions you felt, he’d clean it all up. He’d care for you in the way he knew how and he’d still be clumsy, blunt at times, but he would try. He would get better. Over and over and over again.

🌺Momma I have a question do you mind doing more headcannons for claude from Black butler with a pregnant s/o I can’t find your other one and really want to read it again but I don’t want to pressure you with anymore so I’m asking...🌺
-His demon side senses the miracle before you and him even realize. he starts to circle around you like a protective wolf, not even really realizing until you point it out. Even then he only chuckles and softly apologizes, before continuing his duties.
-Once it becomes more evident that you’re carrying, his more erratic and protective side emerges, and he begins to obsess over you even more. Making maternity clothes, snarling at anyone who comes near you, holding you possessively in his lap whenever he gets the chance, and so much more.
-Eating? Yeah you aren’t going to be doing that in peace anymore. You need nutrients, not abysmal garbage! Silly little mate, you just let him care for you, let him make the food and feed you. It’s not a request. You could choke! He needs to make sure you chew and  swallow properly!
-You can throw a fit all you want, you aren’t bathing alone. It’s much too dangerous! It’s his job as your lover to provide for you during this time, and to protect you from anything he deems threatening. So it’s not just showering that he feels could kill you.
-Kisses constantly,as well as praise on your glowing appearance no matter what trimester you’re currently in. his hands will lovingly stroke your abdomen while he whispers his love and praise in your ear, and on occasion he might leave a love bite or two.
-Will drink your breast milk with absolutely no shame. He wants a taste then he’s going to get one. You look so lovely when you blush and moan during those sessions so it’s all the more reason for him to continue!
-Continue to insist that you’re “Just fine taking care of yourself” then he has to resort to wrapping you up in his webs, cocooning you tightly and keeping you in bed for as long as he sees fit. Actually, you seem much safer this way, and rather cute when you wriggle and hiss out insults. Perhaps he should keep you like this? Wait until the baby is born and then breed you all over again? It certainly sounds like a wonderful fantasy, don’t you think?

I find it endlessly amusing how after 10 years, my OTPs have circled back onto the same type. lol
I realize the Blue Lions have Dedue, and Ashe used to be a commoner. But Ashe got adopted into a higher class. Meanwhile, the Golden Deer has 3 commoners who stay commoners.
And Yukimura probably had commoners serving under him, but Sengoku Basara (2009) takes a lot of time to emphasize that Masamune's commoner associates are named, get screentime, voice his effect on them, and spent time closely serving under him. Meanwhile, Yukimura's only named subordinates seem to also be lords or ninja, more than basic commoners.
When referring to "self-doubt & a phase of failing as a commander", I'm specifally referring to Sengoku Basara (2009) season 2 for Yukimura. That's pretty much most of what he does that season. And he made a critical decision error as a commander that got one of his major subordinates killed and probably also unnecessarily killed some of his other soldiers. Though I am vaguely aware that in one of the videogames, Yukimura similary spent most of the story in self-doubt, after thinking Takeda was dying, and I think he ran his army around doing actions without enough thought.
And of course, with Dimitri, I'm referring to his post-time-skip phase wherein he went full "boar" and refused to properly lead his army. Though after regaining more mental stability and becoming a proper general, he still gets haunted by self-doubts for the rest of his life.
When I spell "Strength" with a capital "S", I'm usually shortening my term "True Strength" and referring to both a mental and emotional fortitude, resilience, and frequently an iron resolve in Compassion. That's just my personal philosophy in defining "True Strength". Personally, I see 2 definitions of "strength" that both converge at Compassion, to define "True Strength". 1) In an amoral sense, strength is resilience in maintaining one's own "soul pattern"/emotions/resolve, without being swayed or influenced by outside forces to change. 2) In terms of defining strength as the ability to do what is most difficult, in my opinion, Compassion is the most difficult. Not only do acts of Compassion often cost a range of efforts from some to exorbitant, but it can also require the enacter to put themselves into a vulnerable position. So it is often something only the strong can afford, or survive, or disregard fears of being vulnerable or taken advantage of. Therefore, in my personal opinion, converging the 2 definitions into an unwavering resolve in Compassion, is my personal definition of "True Strength".
So when I categorize Date Masamune as having Strength, I mean he is unwavering in his resolve towards Compassion. Sengoku Basara 2009 takes a lot of instances to reiterate that Masamune cannot be swayed, his Resolve is unquestioning, no one can stop him, slow him, or change his mind. His catch phase is "pressing onward" (translated as "full speed ahead"). One of his first scenes is charging ahead, disregarding Katakura's warnings for caution. (Notice that in Judge End, this is framed as foolish brashness, but in Sengoku Basara 2009, Katakura smiles and continues following without worry, because he completely trusts Masamune's instincts and decision-making. Because everyone trusts Masamune 2009 to always make decisions based in the best ideals/Compassion.) This is reiterated throughout season 2, when Masamune makes allies and each of them ask him to change directions, but the most they can do is temporarily slow him down, because he doesn't stop moving forward. This Strength directed in outward Compassion towards others is almost unexpected after considering Masamune's historical backstory. One would think that someone betrayed by his mother would become disillusioned and spiteful towards the world. It's a basic supervillain backstory to be betrayed by a trusted figure, especially during fundamental development. But instead, Masamune seems to want only to protect others and bring the whole country under his command, so that the whole country of people can be under his umbrella of protection. The 2009 series only mentions his regret from one of his early battles where lots of his soldiers died, being his major motivation in protecting others, specifically his soldiers. But I've headcanon'ed a lot that can be extrapolated from his historical backstory, that when in conjunction to his actions in Sengoku Basara 2009, portrays a Masamune who has dedicated himself towards Compassion, despite his tragic backstory.
Similarly, Claude's backstory is tragic, yet he emerges with True Strength. I've heard criticisms within the fandom that Claude growing up experiencing so much bullying and discrimination against his being biracial, could not believably yield a person dedicated towards Compassion. But I think that's just brainwashing from too many supervillain tropes telling us that traumatized and mentally ill people invariably become villains. I've heard it's more realistic that people who have experienced trauma, tragedy, or some kind of pain, actually are more likely to increase their ability to empathize/sympathize with others, consequently becoming more compassionate. (Mentioned in https://youtu.be/bHe2seINnE0 at 2:03/9:09; https://youtu.be/zaZYDK1RcEU) Claude experienced descrimination and bullying; he explicitly explains in FE3H canon that he wants to create a world where no one else has to experience that same pain. I really don't see why this can be an unbelievable characterization to some people, when most of the world admires Batman for literally that same reason. And I think that characters, like Claude, who react to trauma and hardship with altruism, demonstrate a True Strength in their characters. They haven't been broken by their trauma. They not only survive, but survive as people who still want to care for others. (Also why I love Natsume Takashi.)
I was tempted to include Dimitri in the category of "Emerged from tragic backstory with Strength and vowing to make world where no one will experience same pain". But he didn't emerge with the same level of flawless Strength that Masamune and Claude did. Dimitri certainly did resolve to protect others from ever experiencing the pain that he felt, after the Tragedy of Duscur. But he was also not as mentally stable. He was so repressed and internally conflicted (concerning his feelings of vengence, or sadness that didn't know how to be expressed as anything but anger, lest he break), that he didn't integrate his "boar" impulses/emotions until much later in his post-time-skip. I didn't feel that Dimitri was a fully reconcilled version of himself, until after he had accepted his "boar" emotions, stopped repressing his unresolved anger, and learned to express them more appropriately or at more appropriate times. After he became more mentally/emotionally stable, I have no doubt that he still can have episodes of rage, anti-social moods, or crippling survivor's guilt, but I think he no longer allows those feelings/episodes to push away the people he cares about or disregard his true personal desires to be kind/protective towards others. He knows how to deal with those feelings now. But he spent a long time not yet at that stable level, until much later. Until then, he was frankly wavering, conflicting with his personal resolve, denying his own ideals, and allowing his survivor's guilt manifesting as ghosts to sway him away from his true desires/motivations/values of Compassion. Dimitri was Weak for a time. So I can't say that he was in the same category of Strength as Masamune and Claude.
Dimitri's backstory of his father's death and idolizing Rodrigue, after he took him in, is information he canonically tells the player.
But I realize that Sengoku Basara 2009 never actually mentions a backstory like this for Yukimura. I'm actually referencing the takarazuka version of Sengoku Basara. In that play, they include a childhood backstory scene, where Yukimura's father was a subordinate of Takeda and died while protecting him. Young Yukimura blamed Takeda for his father's death and went to punch him out. Because Takeda understood that Yukimura needed catharsis and was trying to reconcile with his grief, Takeda allowed himself to be punched. But he also punched back. I think maybe to encourage Yukimura to keep going? I can't remember. But eventually, Yukimura punched out all his anger and only had energy left to finally cry, and Takeda said something that comforted him. From then on, he called Takeda "Oyakata-sama" and became completely devoted to him. This explained the origin of the running gag from the 2009 anime, wherein Takeda and Yukimura engage in fist fights as a form a bonding. (It's a shame that the video of these scenes was taken off YouTube. ;_; ) I don't know if "Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura-den" mentions how Yukimura's father dies, since he finally appeared in that game. So I'm referencing the takarazuka version.
There isn't really mention of Masamune's mother in the 2009 Sengoku Basara anime. The closest, was Masamune's maternal uncle appearing in the movie "The Last Party" that ended that anime series. But historically, after the real life Date Masamune survived smallpox at a young age, and lost sight in his right eye, there was a lot of dissent among the other high ranking people within his clan, concerning his continued position as the Date clan's head. A lot of this dissent was lead by his mother, who insisted that Masamune's younger brother should become the new clan leader instead. Some accounts say that to shut up accusations that Masamune was weak and that his faulty eye was just an advertised weakness that enemies would take advantage of on the battlefield, Masamune either pulled out his own right eye or ordered Katakura to do it. Apparently, that shut up everyone except his mother, who still continued to try undermining his position. I don't know if there was one instance of several, but she also tried to kill him through poisoning, to replace him with his brother. Because of this, Masamune's only choice was to kill his own little brother, which forced his mother to run back to her original clan. (I can only assume that Masamune didn't just kill his mother, because it's possible she indoctrinated his brother to ursurp him. So Masamune might have ended up eventually needing to kill his brother anyway.) Lots of us in the Sengoku Basara fandom like to headcanon that all of this happened for the Basara version of Masamune too.
It's my understanding that Cornelia implicated Dimitri's stepmother in the murder of his father and friends at the Tragedy of Duscur, but that things were still left canonically vague. Personally, the fact that Patricia was always kind to Dimitri, combined with the fact that Cornelia is proven duplicitous, I find it difficult to believe that Patricia intentionally betrayed Dimitri. The way Cornelia described it, she offered Patricia a chance to be reunited with her daughter Edelgard, Patricia confirmed that desire, then the Tragedy of Duscur happened. Given that Cornelia was already doing terrible things behind Patricia's back, like experimenting on Hapi, and Patricia being angry at Cornelia when she discovered Hapi, I doubt that Cornelia would have been fully truthful with Patricia. I imagine Cornelia tricked Patricia into opening a path or lowering some defenses to "allow a clandestine meeting with Edelgard", but then Cornelia would probably use it to sneak in enemies to kill Dimitri's father and friends. That's my headcanon theory on the Tragedy of Duscur anyway. So Dimitri was only *possibly* betrayed by his mother figure.
And that's my comparison between DateSana and DimiClaude/DMCL/ClauDimi. It continuously amazes me how similar these ships are and how my shipping has come full circle. lol

Felinette Month 2020 - Day 27: In Between
Here’s the beginning of the last set of late @felinettenovember works! Enjoy a little competition between Adrien and Felix that ends with an altogether different winner.
Around 2300 words
Marinette loved fashion design. She loved seeing the clothes, learning what went into making them, and figuring out how to make them look the best on people. What she didn’t enjoy was going to stuck up parties where most people were trying to trip up others. She thought this one would be easier as it was only a company-wide Christmas party and she already had at least two good friends attending, outside of the coworkers she had a good relationship with. What she didn’t bargain on was that both her friends would compete to be her companion for the entire night.
Upon arriving and checking in at the front, she found her good friend Adrien at her elbow. He immediately asked about taking her jacket, which she allowed, inquiring about the coat room and readjusting the bag she would keep throughout the night. Then he began to try bringing her into the main room, encouraging her to hold his arm for steadiness, and offered to find her a refreshment right away. Instead they were faced with Felix holding two glasses partway down the hallway, asking Marinette which she would prefer. She thanked him for considering her favorite and accepted the glass.
Marinette hadn’t thought ahead when she told both men about her excitement to attend and see other designers she didn’t get to see often. She and Adrien had been friends since school, her even holding a crush for a few years before moving on. She had gone on some dates after and had decided she didn’t enjoy their company enough for it to cut into her designing time, especially as she worked tirelessly to expand her portfolio for university and beyond. The two had remained good friends, meeting once every few weeks with their friend group except during busy seasons at work when one or the other couldn’t make it.
She and Felix had connected in university, finding that they were doing complementary classes and that by collaborating, the two had excelled in their coursework far beyond their classmates. Learning that they both intended to work at the same company had resulted in weekly lunches and occasionally Felix “reminding” Marinette that she needed to go home and rest when she had been working later for too many days in a row. She needed the escort out of the building to ensure she didn’t go right back to working.
Unfortunately the two cousins had not gotten along well in the past five or so years, though the two had never elaborated on what happened to drive a wedge between them. The hostility between the two was tangible though, a whisper among their coworkers about how the two would specifically avoid meetings that the other was meant to be in or take their lunches at very select times, in areas of the building the other wasn’t likely to go to. Marinette hadn’t realized it was actually bad enough for the two to glare at each other the way they were, thinking the rumors played up this tension.
From further into the entryway, Claude waved an arm and rushed forward towards Marinette, breaking the staring contests between her friends. His dark green suit and bright red tie contrasted to really emphasize the occasion.
“Hello Claude. How are you tonight?” she greeted lightly, slightly uncertain of what to expect without as many work restrictions. He greeted her with a half hug, kissing near both her cheeks. Felix and Adrien had both turned to watch him intensely.
“Marinette! I’m so glad you’re finally here! Your dress is magnificent! Did you bring a date for tonight?” he gushed, gently holding her arm near the elbow. He was beaming, grin reaching his ears, and only glanced at the two men near her as he asked about the date.
“Not tonight. I didn’t particularly feel like finding one when we were starting to design for the spring line already. Especially since Christmas is already next week, and many of my friends are planning to spend time with their families in preparation,” Marinette casually answered, successfully hiding her wariness at his line of questioning. He had asked her out to dinner once when she first started but he quickly moved on to other targets after she had gently rejected.
“I can escort you, if you’d like! A pretty woman like you is bound to be surrounded otherwise! Plus if I remember correctly, this is the first year you’ve managed to make it so you don’t know where to find all the best food and I can help with that,” he exclaimed with what he probably thought was a charming smile, ending with a wink. Marinette hoped he got distracted soon instead.
“That’s alright Claude! I’m sure I’ll be alright without a date, and if I decide I need to find the best food, I’ll find you,” Marinette tried to dismiss his offer in a polite, but firm manner. With no comeback or ready suggestion to combat it, Claude smiled a little less brightly and informed them he would be returning to the action, reminding Marinette to find him later. With a small wave, he was gone and Marinette sighed.
After rolling her shoulders and head, she strode forward towards the main party. Both Adrien and Felix rushed to match her stride. Adrien asked if she and that man were close; Felix, if Claude bothered her at work. Both assured her that they would take care of her if she needed. She laughed a little, assuring them that Claude was not harassing her at work and she had the situation under control. They didn’t seem convinced, so Marinette made note to herself that she should follow up on this issue.
Walking through the main doors, Marinette paused to scan the room for specific people she hoped to see. She quickly decided that she should just start at one side of the room and work her way around it. She approached a pair chatting that she had worked with on a few occasions.
“Good evening! How have you been? Is your wife here tonight?” She managed to slide into the conversation easily, the pair exchanging small talk quickly before asking her opinion about one aspect of their winter line and her thoughts. She explained what she personally thought were a few pros and cons before a voice behind her chimed in his opinion. Marinette had jumped slightly as he spoke, not realizing that Felix had followed her over. She turned, trying to widen the group so Felix was within the semi-circle rather than behind her. Adrien stood right next to him, causing Marinette to jump again. The original pair looked curiously at the blonds and Marinette tried to casually laugh the interaction off.
“I didn’t see you two join us! Excuse my excluding you from the conversation!” her voice came out nervous, blood rushing to her cheeks. She wished they had said something sooner. Then she proceeded to ask if they had all met and introduced Felix when one man didn't know him. A minute or two of uncomfortable small talk followed before silence. When Marinette excused herself to talk to a woman that had recently returned from maternity leave, Felix and Adrien trailing behind her, one man speculated about her relationship with the two men that were meant to run Gabriel one day. The two agreed that if she was getting special attention, it was likely due to her talent. Gabriel must have asked them to keep an eye on her.
Marinette continued chatting, moving from person to person and, learning quickly from her first experience, immediately introducing people to the heirs of Gabriel by only their given names, as casually as they might any other random coworker or friend. Many noted to themselves or others nearby that those men seemed very attentive. One older designer chuckled quietly when Marinette made a passing statement about wanting to try some hors d'oeuvres before they were gone and both Felix and Adrien slipped away, only to return nearly simultaneously with plates piled much higher than would be deemed appropriate normally, offering them to Marinette. The young woman tried to laugh at them and asked her if she wanted to try any of their offerings. Each of them took one small item from each plate and turned away anything further. Each looked smugly at the other when Marinette took her choice from his plate.
As the night moved on and the live music started, many people moved towards the dance floor with their dates. Most songs were upbeat and catchy and Marinette had made herself at home with another young woman from another department. Felix and Adrien had been pulled away by some executives, discussing this and that, each trying to gain a small amount of favor for their futures. Keen observers may have noted the young men sneaking glances towards a young designer, laughing with another woman.
Soon a young man invited Marinette’s companion to dance. With an excited smile over her shoulder, she accepted. Marinette gave a small wave in acknowledgement and found her drink. It took very little time for the two men to approach her. Felix and Adrien reached her at the same moment. Both asked for a dance in that moment. Marinette’s eyes opened wide in her initial surprise and the swift beeline those men made to get to her had attracted more than a few watching eyes.
“Are the two of you planning on ignoring the rest of the guests here the entire night, when I’m content to stay on my own? Here you ask me to choose between my two very good friends while other young women wait to be invited to dance?” Marinette mockingly replied to the two, eyebrows raised slightly. The men flushed, but Felix took a step forward, leaning slightly towards her. Adrien quickly moved to follow step
“I would only be content to stay by your side, and I’m sure the other women wouldn’t be content in my company either. You look too beautiful for any other to keep my eyes on her,” Felix spoke in a husky whisper, just loud enough for the trio to hear. Marinette looked into his eyes and felt the impact of his words stirring her heart. She knew a blush had to be creeping up as well.
“I can’t imagine wanting to dance with another girl when I know you’re here! You enchant me!” Adrien’s exclamations were much less subtle and held an undertone of pleading. Unfortunately this attracted more eyes nearby and Marinette felt uncomfortable under the weight of their stares.
“Adrien, would you mind not loudly saying things like that? People will get the wrong idea about our relationship,” she replied in a hushed tone, her eyes flicking across the nearby faces watching them with all but outright stares. Adrien didn’t seem to read her mood.
“What do you mean? I care for you unbelievably! I would ask for a date if our careers didn’t make us too busy,” Adrien proceeded, only speaking slightly quieter. The nearest people switched from watching to fish-eyed stares. Felix put a hand on his shoulder.
“Offering her your heart does not mean you have hers. You do not yet have the kind of relationship to boldly declare your feelings for her in front of others, dear cousin,” Felix chided quietly. Marinette’s eyes were drawn to him again.
“I can’t help if I want to shout my affections, my love, from the rooftops! I don’t mind others knowing that I have feelings for her, even if she hasn’t returned them yet!” Adrien justified to Felix, no longer speaking boisterously but still well above a whisper. Felix shook his head slightly.
Marinette couldn’t help but think about the differences between the two as she watched this interaction. Felix asked nothing of her future, of commitment beyond this dance. He put in the effort to be with her in the moment, making time to see her at work often without letting himself become a true disruption. His eyes conveyed a longing for her, a desire to have her close, but he did not presume upon her heart. His words were private, personal and left their relationship as a private matter. He was giving her the option to choose how much she wanted from him and how much others could know. Adrien asked only of a dance here, in a very different way though. He was proclaiming to others that he intended to pursue her when he felt the time was right and that their relationship held something more than friendship, even if it was truly one-sided. He chose to wait, put off his pursuit until it was his sole focus, causing him to miss out on her life in the everyday mundane. This embodied one large difference between the pair: Felix tended to be reserved and only show his thoughts and feelings to those he chose and Adrien tended to be open and show his thoughts and feelings to all.
“Adrien, I work with these people and personally would prefer they recognize I got here on my own merits. There are some that would infer that I am only succeeded due to your influence and any defense you tried to pose would only make them more convinced. Also, I recommend both of you grab yourself a drink because I’m not having my first dance of the night with either of you. I’ve got my eye on someone for that already,” Marinette stated firmly before walking across the room.
The men watched as she approached an older gentleman and gently asked him to dance. He took her hand and the two proceeded to the dance floor where they did a slow sway. She laughed and smiled as the gentleman spoke. The young men looked at each other and Felix extended a hand. Adrien took it silently, the two agreeing to bide their time for Marinette’s decision. In the night after the Christmas party had ended, Felix learned of Marinette’s decision and rejoiced in his opportunity to see her more.

Wild West AU (Yeehaw)
The town? Garreg Mach. A growing boomtown on the edge of the frontier. Life out here is tough, but the people are tougher. Between the sandstorms, the corrupt politicians and business moguls, and the weird magic shit going on behind the scenes, the people of Garreg Mach are gonna need all their wit and gumption to survive.
-
Golden Deer
Claude: A popular young lawyer, half Irish Immigrant and half Cheyenne Native American. Claude is well known as a bit of a celebrity about town, frequently challenging the government and protecting the rights of Native Americans and their claims to land. A bit ruthless and a lot charming, Claude is a leader among the townsfolk, particularly the poorer folk.
Hilda: While the Civil War ruined most southern folk, Hilda’s family made it rich by siding with the Union and fighting the Confederacy. Hilda, a southern belle who also happens to be as strong as an ox, came to Garreg Mach to get away from her overbearing brother. A rich girl, she frequently funds Claude’s efforts to protect Native and African American rights.
Lorenz: Born to an old-money New England family, Lorenz talks and acts like British nobility. He’s come to Garreg Mach to expand his family business, but he aims to do it the proper way, avoiding his father’s unsavory tactics. He pays all his employees a living wage, and insists on paid vacation and maternity leave. A reluctant ally of Claude, Lorenz truly has a heart of gold under the snobbery.
Marianne: Marianne's family worked on the Underground Railroad, shepherding slaves to freedom. That got them killed. Alone now, Marianne has come out west to try and get away from her past as the town doctor. But he inborn compassion proves too powerful for her, and she frequently finds herself fighting alongside Claude in his legal suits. She’s smart and she’s ind, but blames herself for her parents deaths.
Ignatz: The son of a merchant who hit it big during the Gold Rush, selling to miners, Ignatz has been sent out to the frontier to both expand his family business and try to make it big selling his art. Ignatz loves to paint murals upon the various buildings of Garreg Mach, bringing some much needed color and beauty to the town.
Leonie: A spitfire girl who was born and raised to ride ‘em, rope ‘em, and brand ‘em, Leonie is a cowgirl through and through. She’s been making a name for herself as a bounty hunter, bringing outlaws and the like to justice. She hates big business and “civilized softies”, but she’s got a place in her heart for her more “upper class” friends. She thinks this whole “Manifest Destiny” thing is stupid and works with Claude against heedless expansion.
Raphael: The son of Scottish immigrants, Raphael’s a big guy with a big heart and an even bigger appetite. With a sick grandpa and a little sister to look after, Raphael makes his money working as the local blacksmith and occasional head-thumper at the bar when fellas get too fresh with the dancing girls. He does his best to keep the town honest and he’s more than willing to throw down against any corrupt old men looking to take over his home.
Lysithea: Smart as a whip and just as stinging, Lysithea is a genius chemist and scientist. Diagnosed with a nasty disease early on in her life, she’s determined to make the most of the time she’s got. She bought herself an old farm which she’s converted into a “science paradise”, Lysithea is determined to make as many breakthroughs as possible, making money to leave her parents comfortable. Much to her chagrin, she finds herself sucked into Claude’s legal fights
-
Blue Lions
Dimitri: Dimitri was a boy, son of wealthy Russian immigrants, when he enlisted in the Civil War. Now traumatized and trying to move, he’s come out West to find a better life. But his wish for a quiet existence seems to be for naught, as he finds himself made Sheriff of Garreg Mach and charged with fighting criminals and the corrupt. Hoping that protecting the living will silence the screams of the dead in his head, Dimitri is determined to protect his people, no matter what form the threat takes.
Dedue: The son of an escaped slave, he and Dimitri met during the Civil War. Hoping to liberate the rest of his family, Dedue found that the slaves of the plantation his mother had fled from had been butchered by their master, whom Dedue and Dimitri killed in revenge. Disillusioned, Dedue now leads many former slaves here in Garreg Mach, helping them find their footing as farmers and ranchers. A part-time deputy for Dimitri, Dedue will let nothing stand in his way of fighting for a better future for his people.
Ingrid: A girl who disguised herself as a man to fight in the war, Ingrid is firecly loyal to Dimitri as his full-time deputy. A powerful voice of compassion and justice, Ingrid is a devotedly “by the book” woman. She’s been softened to new ideas by many of the folk in Garreg Mach, but she remains decidedly stubborn towards change. Nonetheless, you’ll never find a more devoted and steadfast soldier than Ingrid.
Sylvain: The local lothario and heartbreaker, Sylvain is the self-proclaimed “good for nothing” son of a wealthy rancher. Despite this, his kind heart frequently triumphs over his self-loathing and he stands as a permanent friend of Dimitri and enemy of the forces seeking to ruin Garreg Mach. A surprisingly good quickdraw, Sylvain also fights alongside Dedue for the rights of the African Americans in Garreg Mach.
Mercedes: The daughter of slave-owners, Mercedes ran away from that life, unwillingly leaving her brother behind. Working first on the Underground Railroad, and then as a medic during the war, Mercedes has come to Garreg Mach to devote her life to the Goddess and the less fortunate. A permanent fixture of compassion and healing, Mercedes is beloved by the everyone for her willingness to heal and work with everyone no matter their race, religion, or nationality.
Felix: The son of New England wealth, Felix is the fastest gun in the west and one of the best bounty hunters to boot. Sickened by civilization by the horrors he experienced in the war, Felix is determined to make his own way in the world as a running gun and part-time vigilante. Despite his “lone wolf” status, Felix finds himself frequently coming back to Garreg Mach and the friends he’s made there, frequently ridding with Sheriff Dimitri, grumbling all the way.
Annette: The local schoolteacher and historian, Annette is a slightly flighty girl who loves her friends, her charges, and books. Always trying her hardest, Annette is behind several charities trying to take care of veterans and former slaves, working closely with Dimitri and Dedue towards that end. She’s also a part-time singer at the local saloon, much to the town’s scandal.
Ashe: A former thief, then the adopted son of a Southern Abolitionist, Ashe lost everything during the war. Gathering up the remains of his adopted and blood-related family, he now seeks to build a new life for them in Garreg Mach. Despite trying to stay out of trouble, his strong sense of fairness and compassion frequently suck him into problems that are not his own, fighting for the weak and downtrodden. He’s one of the few people who can sometimes outdraw Felix.
-
Black Eagles
Edelgard: The mayor of Garreg Mach, Edelgard was the daughter of a powerful plantation owner before she gunned her father down and rallied her friends to take up arms against the Confederacy. Now she fights for the rights of the poor and oppressed as Mayor with the same ferocity and single-mindedness that she fought in the war. She frequently butts heads with Claude and Dimitri over methods, but she is determined to create a better future, and damn anyone who gets in her way.
Hubert: Edelgard’s closest friend and bodyguard, Hubert is also a chemist and mathematician, using his deadly intellect to devastating results. While absolutely devoted to Edelgard, Hubert is also determined to make a better future through whatever means necessary, no matter how unsavory they might be. There are rumors about what happened to Hubert’s father during the war, but nothing that could be proven.
Petra: The daughter of a Lakota Native American Chief, Petra is determined to make a better future for her tribe and fights for their rights at every turn. As such she works frequently with Claude and Edelgard to secure the rights of the Lakota. As deadly as she is beautiful, Petra makes her money by keeping the frontier safe and taking out Edelgard’s political enemies to pave the way for her people’s future.
Ferdinand: While Lorenz only acts like British nobility, Ferdinand actually is British Nobility, come across the pond to secure his family’s interests. He ended up sucked into Edelgard’s crusade and provides support and money to her designs. Despite his loud demeanor and arrogant tendencies, Ferdinand is a kind creature at heart who will always put his neck out for the little guy, much to his family’s chagrin. He’s also the owner of the local saloon, and as such everyone want to be on his good side.
Dorothea: The star-singer of the town saloon, Dorothea is the face of Edelgard’s political machine, earning support and favor with her charm and her voice. She has a love-hate relationship with her boss, Ferdinand that veers between attempted murder and true love. She spends most of her money on the poor and badly-off as she knows what its like to go without. Despite her pretty face and gentle demeanor, she’s no less vicious in her pursuit of what’s right than Edelgard.
Caspar: The former son of a plantation owner, Caspar fought alongside Edelgard against the Confederacy and his own father. Tough, brave, and true-hearted, no one knows what Caspar’s job actually is. He just seems to do a little bit of everything from manual labor to bounty-hunting. A permanent shield for “the little guy”, Caspar will never give-up the good fight. Never.
Linhardt: As smart as he is, Linhardt could take over the world if he had a mind to. Fortunately, he doesn’t. A scientist and researcher who frequently works alongside Lysithea, Linhardt seems more interested in taking naps and reading his books than anything else. Despite this, he maintains polite friendships with many of the townsfolk, including his dearest friend Caspar whom he lives with and shares a bed with. But totally just good friends!
Bernadetta: The local shut-in, Bernadetta was the victim of an abusive father and neglectful mother, who jumped at the chance to run away when Edelgard presented it. Despite her shyness and her borderline agoraphobia, Bernadetta runs a large farm outside of town, frequently hosting political get-together which she barely shows up at. Hidden reserves of courage drive her to help Petra and her people frequently providing aid whenever she can. From insider her room, of course.

Three Houses: Where Are All the Mothers? Part 1, General Observations
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a game that leaves me wondering: Where are all the mothers?
You wouldn’t think a game like this would have this problem. So much of the story is driven by one woman’s unshakable grief for her mother’s untimely death, and the lengths she went to to try to get her mother back, that you’d think that mothers would have a more prominent role in this story. The mother-child relationship is central to this game’s narrative, so you would think that you’d see that relationship replicated, analyzed, and explored at all descending levels of the narrative. But no. Sothis is the only mother character in this game who is treated with any real importance, let alone central importance, and the rest are all, to varying degrees, left by the wayside.
Byleth’s mother is reduced to a plot point, a textual ghost more present by her sheer absence despite being the mother of the protagonist. She’s someone whom you would think would be considered important, considering that her death drives more than a little of the present-day plot, and yet, she doesn’t seem to be considered important at all. We learn next to nothing about her, besides the fact that she liked flowers and liked to cook, and was a nun. Alois never mentions her, despite the fact that he must surely have spent time around her when she was still alive. None of the clerics at the monastery who were around before Jeralt left ever mention her. Outside of Jeralt, Rhea, and (briefly) Claude, the only one who ever mentions her is Hanneman, who describes her only as a woman Jeralt was involved with long ago.
Byleth’s mother only exists when she needs to be deployed in relation to some shocking revelation. Whenever she isn’t needed for that, she gets shoved right back into the box of nonexistence. As if to underscore just how much they didn’t care about her, the writers went out of their way to avoid even giving Byleth’s mother a name. Rhea never calls her by name during her deathbed confession. Jeralt never says her name in his diary. The name on her tombstone has somehow been eroded away while leaving the rest of the inscription miraculously intact. It’s such a bizarre way to treat the protagonist’s mother, and unfortunately, this treatment is replicated at all levels of the narrative.
Of the students’ mothers, the only one given the honor of a name is Patricia von Arundel, Edelgard’s mother and Dimitri’s stepmother. She’s also the only one who’s story-relevant in any way. The closest to matching her is Claude and Bernadetta’s as-yet nameless mothers. The most we know about Claude’s mother is that she’s the daughter of Duke Riegan, that she forsook Fódlan to marry the King of Almyra, and that she has a strong-willed personality. What we know about Bernadetta’s is that she sent her daughter to the Academy for reasons never explained, that she’s dearer to Bernadetta than her father (though Bernadetta has few good memories of her), and that after Count Varley was arrested, she stepped up to support Edelgard in his place.
Of the other students, the mothers confirmed dead are Dorothea’s, Ashe’s, Raphael’s, and Marianne’s. The ones confirmed alive are Annette’s, Mercedes’s, Lysithea’s, and Ignatz’s. Of the two potential adoptive mothers, we don’t know if Margrave Edmund is married, and we don’t know if Lonato’s wife is still alive, and if so, what kind of mother she was to Ashe and his siblings, what part she did or didn’t play in Lonato’s failed uprising, and what happened to her afterwards.
As for the rest, we have no information, even in cases where we really should.
What does Ingrid’s mother, if still alive, think of the fact that her husband is trying desperately to marry Ingrid off for money? What does she think of the fact that Ingrid could potentially end up in an abusive marriage, married to a man who uses her as a broodmare with no regard for her well-being, until she eventually dies? Moreover, Ingrid is someone who completely fails to perform femininity as envisioned by Faerghus society, and Lady Galatea would likely be regarded as the enforcer of “proper” femininity in her household, both for servants and for family members. How did this impact her relationship with Ingrid? Was she accepting of Ingrid’s desire to be a knight, or did she want Ingrid to be a “proper lady” instead, resulting in their relationship being strained? Moreover, since traditional femininity is such a big issue for her daughter, how does Lady Galatea relate to traditional femininity? How does that play into the way she does or doesn’t relate with her daughter?
It’s easy to imagine that Felix’s mother is dead, and has been for a long time, because in the ongoing family drama plaguing House Fraldarius, she is a complete non-entity. One son dead, the other son’s relationship with his father broken beyond repair, with that surviving son violently rejecting all the ideals of chivalry and knighthood—also known as everything that makes you a “real man” in the eyes of the Faerghus nobility. And there’s no information as to what Lady Fraldarius thinks of this, if she sides with her husband or her son in their conflict or if she plays (probably ineffectually so) mediator instead.
We know that Caspar’s grandfather’s second wife pushed for her son, Randolph, to become the next Count Bergliez ahead of Caspar’s father, and that Caspar’s father was only narrowly able to avoid being disinherited in favor of his younger half-brother. What we don’t know about is Caspar’s mother’s reaction to all of this, since if her husband had been disinherited, she and her sons would have been left out in the cold. Caspar’s older brother is set to inherit, despite being patently unfit for the position, and it seems likely that this is influenced at least in part by the difficulties Count Bergliez had in holding on to his inheritance. What part has Lady Bergliez played in that? Did she advocate for her older son out of fear of another inheritance crisis once her husband was gone, or did she set her hopes on her at least marginally more capable younger son, only to have those hopes dashed when Caspar refused to usurp his brother’s place?
In all four routes, Hubert has his father assassinated not long after Edelgard ascends the throne. Apparently, no one felt it worth mentioning, even in passing, what that meant for his relationship with his mother. One would think it meant quite a bit, but nope, not even worth mentioning in Crimson Flower, it seems.
At the end of the day, I love Three Houses. However, as with many works of fiction, neglecting the mothers, even when by all rights they should be relevant to the overarching story or at the very least the journeys their children go on, damages it quite a bit. The narrative is left sparser than it should be, with these gaping holes in characters’ lives where the presence of their mothers should be.
Anyways, this was Part One, in which I made general observations, and hopefully didn’t make too much of an ass of myself. Watch this space for Parts Two and Three.
Part Two: Dimitri’s mother and maternal family Part Three: The Imperial consorts (and their children) and their families

CLAUDE HC: mommy issues
claude has issues with his mother! she was not affectionate with him. his dad was SUPER AFFECTIONATE with him, always roughhousing with him and ruffling his hair and picking him up and parading him around the palace. i picture his dad as a west asian zeus from disney’s hercules. just big and bold and loud with his affections, kind of goofy and easily excitable, but always so loving, always so proud. when he got angry at claude---which he hardly ever did, he just got quiet. disappointed more than angry. when claude revealed his plan to collect his inheritance and solidify an alliance between fodlan nations and almyra----his father got very quiet. his dad pretty much always reacted with enthusiasm---but then, there was nothing. just. if that was what claude had to do to be at peace with himself, if he thought it would work. then that’s what he has to do. he believes in his son---but it goes against some of his core values and the values of their people.
almyrans believe in transparency. they went to ‘war’ with leicester because they had to, the alliance wasn’t responding to their attempts to communicate, and in truth, they were pretty mad about what fodlan had done to their actual allies, basically stamping them off the map and like. stealing their kids like rhea does and not teaching them how to read or write or communicate. (almyrans are also very big on education, not just in war, which is obviously important, but also in language&ethics&their culture and the culture of their allies (tho some of this information is very outdated as the war between fodlan and the almyrans has been going on so long most almyrans haven’t been to dagda brigid or duscur in like thirty years)&as well as animal husbandry and artisan crafts.)
his mother was more secretive and sly. she pushed him harder than his dad did, because she didn’t want him to be soft. almyrans are more accepting than fodlan people are. claude was a transmasc kid, claude was biracial, part of her always knew he’d end up going back to fodlan, and that he’d need to be tough on himself to survive them. she pushed him away sometimes when she shouldn’t have. the truth was she didn’t know how to express love because as someone from fodlan, she’s only ever known real love (and not expectations that come from being the alliance heiress and being expected to have crest babies) from his father. she felt inadequate in raising their child compared to claude’s father. she retreated from the task often. claude asked so many questions and was so emotionally intuitive even as a child. she knew how to speak best through violence and she would never be truly violent with him. it was hard for her. she had come to almyra with the expectation she would never have children---and it just, kind of happened regardless. she wasn’t a bad mother---but she definitely wasn’t a perfect mother, and she often gave the duties of maternal comfort to servants and trainers instead of claude. and she never quite knew how to feel about him because of it.
all this to say, claude grew up craving her affection more, but also wanting to push her away just as much. he wanted to understand her, but also he felt rejected by her, because in his mind, every time she pushed him away or wouldn’t answer his questions, he was rejected by her. it was difficult for him. it still is. and yet, she seemed proud of him, and worried for him when he came to fodlan. which confused him more!
this is probably a large part of why claude appreciates secrets so much. he felt like in a way he was always in a chess match with his mom, always trying to trick her into giving him information about her past. and its probably why he finds himself more attracted TO people with secrets, people with mysterious pasts, people who don’t accept themselves, and have trauma. and, if he’s being honest, a part of the reason why he wants to fix fodlan is beyond trade agreements and the safety of people like him and dagdans and people of duscur and people of brigid. he also wants to help women like his mom not end up so fucked up and kind of broken. so they can lead more fulfilling lives, and be more chill with their kids.
he’s got a lot of motivations! lmao

I was tagged by @hippity-hoppity-brigade! Thank you!
AO3 Name: Schistosity
Fandoms: My dominant fandom is definitely Critical Role but I did write a few works for Voltron back in the day, and a work for BNHA and Zelda. I also have one Three Houses fic ongoing and three more in the chamber so like, prepare your assholes for my Claude bias to become professional.
Fic you spent the most time on: To The North, my multi-chapter platonic widojest manifesto/character study/murder-mystery extravaganza. I really am a fan of biting off more than I can chew and this idea started stewing back when episode 77 of Critical Role released. It’s been my baby for a really long time. I love it dearly.
Fic you spent the least amount of time on: Other People’s Heartache or really anything from that AU series. I wrote the first one in?? a day?? Something about Allura Vysoren verbally bodying Trent Ikithon just made the creative juices flow.
Longest fic: To The North, and it’s still getting longer, babey!
Shortest fic: finding the words (an aftermath), a really sappy Breath of the Wild post-game fic I wrote because I was being emo about zelink. I was originally intending to make it a big multi-chapter thing but less is more sometimes!
Most hits: To The North, the unified power of Caleb stans sustains me more than food.
Most kudos: Other People’s Heartache, which is a surprise! It’s all that Allura love.
Most comment threads: To The North, do I sound like a broken record yet?
Fave fic you wrote: Ooof, this is a hard one. I’m tempted to say To The North, because I’ve been nursing that baby for so long I really do have maternal attachment to it. But honestly, and pardon me for the #cringe, I’m still really in love with The Space Race Is Over (And I’ll Never Get To The Moon), which I wrote around about season three (?) of Voltron. Idk it was just very personal and I really like how it turned out.
Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: I wrote a small epistolary section between Claude and his mother for We Only See Each Other At Weddings And Funerals, my Three Houses Golden Deer trio (almost)murder-mystery fic (I really have to stop writing those) and I’d really like to expand on that format because it was really fun. I have all these plans for like,,, writing the whole route in letters,,, maybe,,, wack.
Share a bit of your WIP or share a story idea that you’re planning:
Here’s a bit from the next chapter of To The North (broken record, but I think it’s what a lot of you follow me for, sooo)
“Look after it,” he says, and then he adds, “And yourself. L–Look after yourself.”
Jester laughs.
“You too.”
She leans in and presses a kiss to his cheek. His skin is scratchy with stubble in that soft sort of way, and she can feel the heat of a growing blush before she even pulls back. His eyes flick away from hers and she smiles.
“It’s going to be okay,” she assures softly. “We’re not going to let anything happen to you.”
He chuckles. “I am more worried about what might happen to you. If this gets out of hand... perhaps it would be safer for you to go ahead without me.”
Jester rolls her eyes. “Well, first of all, I owe it to Liesel to find out what killed her sister. Second of all—” she clasps his hand in hers “—We’re your family, Caleb, and that means we aren’t going to leave you behind.”
“Th-Thank you,” he replies.
I don’t know a lot of fic writers on here actually uh oh, so i’ll tag @clarenecessities and if any of my followers who write fic want to do this, go for it!!

Hi. Could we please get a post of Wmmap headcanons with Jen, Ana and Kristina after they leave Obelia?
Ooo, no one’s every asked me this before
Hm. I feel like I’ve thought about it, but at the same time have never actually thought about it.
I guess I should put some spoiler warnings since I do kinda plan for LPFS to follow the main storyline? To an extent at least, so be warned.
• I don’t know for sure if Anastasius has lost his magic, but from what Lucas implied, Jen and Ana haven’t lost their magic. They just lost the genes that provide imperial magic (which manifests in their eyes). So in this headcanon, he still has his magic.
• Ana probably has no morally good/socially acceptable ways of paying for stuff since he mainly lived in hiding, and before that it was being the future emperor. Kristina also doesn’t trust him that much, so she has to accompany him at all times when they’re out buying stuff.
• There are significantly great parallels between Ana and Athy that are drawn, so in this headcanon Anastasius has tried to magically summon money illegally but Jen and Kristina have to stop him (Kristina then proceeds to mention that Roger(?)Claude(?)Athy(?) has entrusted her with their funds because why the hell would they entrust Ana with their funds)
• Because they had to leave the palace in a hurry (as well as figure out what clothes were the least inconspicuous and don’t scream royalty), one of the first things they do is go on a shopping trip. Jennette absolutely loves the dresses sold in the townsplace and markets because they’re so light and airy and minimalistic in comparison to the very decorated and accessorized gowns in high society.
• Jen’s the one who mainly eludes to Ana’s new wardrobe style since Kristina has no sense of taste when it comes to clothes if it isn’t for children.
• After a while it suddenly dawns upon the father-daughter duo that ‘wait, Krissy what about your clothes’
• So now Jen excitedly goes around and tries clothes on her maternal figure since she’s only ever seen Kristina in a servants’ uniform. Whenever Jen asks for her father’s opinion, he just awkwardly does nod, shake head, or thumbs up or down.
• I talked about it before in a previous post, but Kristina and Anastasius have a weird relationship. It’s not that he hates or likes her, if anything he’s thankful to her, but he can definitely sense that she doesn’t quite like him. You know, that feeling when you want to get along with someone but you have the feeling they don’t really like you.
• Despite her weird feelings toward Ana, she does feel he sincerely cares about Jen, so she tries to make opportunities for them to bond more as a father-daughter pair (when shopping for new clothes for Jen, asking for his opinion; leaving them alone together during some activities, suggesting family outings and etc.)
• Jen’s particularly sensitive to people’s emotions, so she knows that her dad and her ‘mother’ don’t particularly seem to get along too well. So while Kris is trying to set up father-daughter bonding, Jen is also at the same time trying to get them closer
• Whether that works or not, I’m still not sure jsgdjdbsjb
• Jen love love loves the ocean and sightseeing.
• Jen also loves interacting with new people. Since it’s a harbor town(?), I can assume there’s be quite a bit of foreigners. Jen’s never had the opportunity to socialize outside maybe one or two tea parties, so she likes listening to the stories of people she’s never met or seen before
• I don’t even know if I would have wanted Ana and Kristina to get together at some point, so for now they have the novel Felix and Lily relationship where they coparent a child. It is a bit awkward when Jen calls Anastacious ‘Father’ and then turns to call Kristina ‘Mom’.
• Jen likes sending seashells with her letters to Athy, Kiel and Roger. Kristina teaches her to make jewelry out of seashells and sea glass, in which she sends to Athy (in which Athy wears whenever she has beach and water-themed outfits).
• Jen also gets other letters, in which I’ll write a mini one shot about later :) Needless to say, Ana is conflicted in that he’s protective of her as a father, but wonders if he has the right to as he has been absent her whole life
• Their house is much smaller than the Alpheus estate, but still reasonably big. After all, it’s an Alpheus beach house (a ducal family’s beach house). For privacy reasons, there are probably only very few servants (like four or five?) so it does feel lonely, which is why the three often have food together.
• Speaking of, Kristina is the only reason why they can eat well cooked and nicely presented food. Jen helps every now and then, slowly learning, but Ana is absolutely banned from the kitchen.
• It’s noted that Jen calls Kristina ‘Mom’, but still when referring to Penelope calls her ‘Mother’. They are both her mothers, but they do not replace one another and she wants to make that clear.
• Oh yes, hobbies. Jen likes to sew and make dresses (based off of how many dolls she has in the Manhwa), especially since she gets inspired so easily with new experiences. So much so that her designs actually gain a bit of attention and ladies come and commission some from her.
• This also applies to her sea themed jewelry, which is especially popular due to it being a harbor town.
• Ana also??? Needs friends??? And hobbies???
• Maybe the local bartender idk, someone he can rant to without any ickiness
• “I used to be an emperor you know”
• “haha I like your jokes funny man”
• Kristina would still be attached to Protea and Erith (Ijekiel’s nanny), so I imagine she’d write letters to them often. Ijekiel’s an adult by then I think, right? So I guess Erith wouldn’t really be his nanny anymore. She’ll probably visit occasionally since Kristina’s letters—in comparison to Jen’s—are kinda dry so she needs to see in person how they’re doing.
Otherwise, I can’t think of anything else of their Mieta life svdjvdjd

i understand the heart of where you were coming from with your response on the edelgard post. but i would like you to know that i think you have some misconceptions in your argument. firstly, korea's "religious fanaticism" especially in regards to christianic religion, is more of a phenomenon with korean immigrants, and is not reflective of the predominant religious views in korea itself.
As a korean myself, i can say that it is unlikely that koreans are inclined to be against edelgard simply because the church in game is inclined against her. speaking with various other asian poc, those who do not like edelgard are primarily against her due to much of her activities in-game calling to mind japan’s imperialistic history of invading our countries and colonizing us.
Regardless of whether people believe edelgard’s individual motivations are justifiable or not, it must be recognized that much of the game seems to promote a very pro-imperialistic agenda. even in non-edelgard routes, the endings are very leaned towards centralizing control of the continent often with disregard of independent state’s wishes. edelgard’s position as primary antagonist means that it is easy to see her as the primary representative of this mindset.
I don’t believe that the op is wrong in asserting that americans have favored edelgard while koreans have not for certain reasons. while the context is different, her popularity in japan versus korea can most likely be accounted for along similar lines of a history of imperialism. while fans of edelgard may not be in favor of her specifically for these views, there is a fundamental difference in perspective american and japanese fans are coming to the game with.
I dont believe that the op is wrong in asserting that americans have favored edelgard while koreans have not for certain reasons. while the context is different, her popularity in japan versus korea can most likely be accounted for along similar lines of a history of imperialism. while fans of edelgard may not be in favor of her specifically for these views, there is a fundamental difference in perspective american and japanese fans are coming to the game with. Sorry if this was an excessive explanation.
As a lesbian, i find a lot of traits of edelgard that i like. as a korean, however, my discomfort with her is great enough that i shy away from her. i respect who you choose to like or dislike in the game, and am only aiming to maybe inform what i felt was an argument formed on an incomplete misunderstanding of my country’s culture and history.
TLDR: The korean dislike of edelgard can be more attributed to the history of violent colonization from japan that she brings to mind. as japan executed this kind of behavior against many asian countries, this is a sentiment shared by several of my other asian peers. thank you if youve read all of these rambling messages xp, its an important topic to me and i wanted you to know religious fanatacism at the very least isnt a fully accurate description of my people
Thanks for the explanation and I can understand where you’re coming from when you put it in this way.
I also acknowledge that my negative experiences with Korean immigrants may have coloured my perception on the matter. In India we have had Koreans come here because of Hyundai, and the ones they sent here behaved so badly (I used to joke that Korea was using India as a garbage dump for its undesirables because there was no way the entire country was like that) that many real estate agents in India will not lease properties to Koreans. And now Hyundai has to give its employees racial sensitivity training in order to send them to India. This was in the mid-late 2000s however, so I’m sure things have changed since then.
India has a history of colonization as well by the Mughals and British. Rhea always reminded me of Mother Theresa (who put on a maternal/loving facade to disguise the fact that her hospitals were essentially “dying houses” where she would baptize people on their deathbeds, and was notorious for grooming her patients into thinking their sickness was “a blessing from Jesus”) and other Christian missionaries which was why she left such a bad taste in my mouth. Rhea’s behaviour is how British colonists in general also behaved, pretending to be a benefactor and kind to her subjects while actually abusing them. Even though the Indian Fire Emblem fanbase is very small, the ones who I’ve talked to have a dislike of Rhea for those reasons as well. However I don’t say that people who like Rhea are religious zealots/fanatics/whatever, because your fiction doesn’t affect your morality.
My problem with a lot of Blue Lions fans is many of them get overzealous when it comes to their path and tend to antagonize Edelgard fans, insinuating that ALL OF THEM have radfem-esque principles and only like Edelgard because she’s a woman/because she’s bisexual, or that they have White supremacist beliefs even if they’re POC themselves. They also think that if you’re a fan of Edelgard, you MUST hate Dimitri, even though many of them don’t. And the hypocritical Black Eagles fans who come under the faction that Blue Lions fans are attacking make things worse for the normal Black Eagles fans who are just trying to enjoy the content, because we get lumped in with the crazies.
All this nonsense makes me want to join with Golden Deers even though I don’t really like Claude that much, because they’re the only group that doesn’t fight with everyone all the time.
