Princess, I would love to hear you tell us how Ozai was towards you. How was you two’s relationship like, what was the dynamic, was he different towards you than say, an advisor or his anyone else other than you? What kind of man was he?

Mine and Ozai's relationship was complex in many ways.

An arranged marriage is always hard to get used to, as the two of us had to learn to navigate each other, and Ozai and I were forced to do our relationship a bit backward. We were married and then courted each other, but we worked hard, we tried hard, and Ozai, in his own way, could be kind and warm. However, yes, he is an emotionally distant man who isn't shy about expressing disappointment or bursting into anger.

He often said it was my kindness and warmth, and my ability to see good in him, that made him pause. Although I saw his ire and anger, he never treated me like he did a servant or advisor. With them, he expected them to perform their duties to perfection; if they failed him, he often threatened those who failed him with banishment to the colonies.

Ozai was not shy about reminding people that I was his wife and his alone. It was flattering at times to know he cared for me that much, but I didn't see it for what it truly was.

Something changed in him as time went on; his ambitious nature overtook him, and he became even colder and crueler to everyone around him, even me.

I guess when the end came on the horrid night, I wasn't surpised, but it still hurt things ended that way.

I may have moved somewhere new and everything, but I feel like i have no friends, even with the people i left back home still chatting when they have the time. I wish i had a little internet friend that could chat with me whenever [unrealistic]. I've just been in my room all day with nothing to do and no one to actually talk to :(

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
