nonsense bitching is just par for the course with dragon age but i do not understand the people who miss trevor morris. outside of the dlc tracks and bard songs, inquisition’s soundtrack can only be described as “painfully mid.” it’s sparse, lacking in identity, and i could not tell you a single track name off the top of my head or a time in which the base game ost was in any way memorable to me. it’s literally just Fine and There.

downloaded the pocket mirror soundtrack AUUUGH. who was going to tell me that the same theme that plays in the beginning over elise giving her the pocket mirror is the same that plays throughout the emotional scenes.

trying to do homework and getting distracted bc I'm listening to the Star Wars OSTs (because of course) and the ROTS end credits track is called A New Hope and End Credits since we end w/the skytwins' birth. And just. It's like. Peak Star Wars soundtrack. It has all the combos from ROTS like John Williams usually does for these. It's got Anakin vs. Obi-Wan. It has the Throne Room song from the end of ANH in it. It has the main theme. It has Leia's theme. It's a masterpiece.

beat rift apart for the first time spoiler-free a couple weeks ago and i LOST IT when 'join me at the top' played in the credits. Why would you hide a masterpiece like that in the end credits of the game 😭😭

I think we as a society need to be reminded how good the original Powerpuff Girls was. Here's some of my favorite things about it:

the fight scenes had a level of punchiness and impact that was rare for cartoons of the nineties, and fight scenes that were way better than what one would expect from a comedy

The character writing is so good that a large portion of the show's most iconic episodes consist of just showing how the girls' personalities react to different scenarios, for example in one episode the girls take turns recapping a fight that had just happened, and the tone and art style of the flashback changes depending on whose telling the story

One of the recurring extras is a talking dog that goes about it's day like a normal human

Each girl has mostly the same powers with one special ability that sets them apart. Blossom has ice breath. Bubbles can speak to squirrels and is also fluent in Spanish. Buttercup can curl her tongue.

while the majority of the show is lighthearted comedy sometimes it'll just decide to be nightmareworld for an episode and i think thats pretty cool

The show utilizes a blend of classic upa linework and sixties art deco shapism to create a visual style that is utterly timeless. If the majority of the show wasn't cell animated you would not be able to guess when it came out

The main villain's speaking patterns were directly inspired by The Super Dictionary. AKA, the same book that brought us this:

In the season one finale, the girls fight a giant monster using a mech suit. During the fight, there is a sequence that is literally just 20 uninterrupted seconds of an absurd amount of missiles coming out of every possible orifice of the robot. And then they miss.

There was an anime adaptation made in the 2000's and its actually pretty good, like it does take a lot of creative liberties but its clear that the people making it understood the spirit of the original show and were just adapting it to reflect japanese pop culture in the same way the og show reflected american pop culture.

The show had an insanely kickass soundtrack consisting of early techno so clean it's kind of shocking that it was made in the late nineties and not the early 2010's pre-dubstep era

I will say i dont have the highest hopes for whatever story aspect would be added for shadow if any (both because sega loves waving him like the charlie brown football in front of fans without having any actual thought out substance in mind for him, and also because generations story is already.... almost nothing) but.... I think no matter what, the new levels are gonna super exciting and I'm really excited to play them and see what they do. just please god dont delist sonic generations and ill be happy

Unpopular opinion but GG was right to award I'm Just Ken. The song slaps. It's not "unfeminist" of Golden Globes or whatever. It's the movie creators' fault that they gave the male lead a great musical number (and two overall) while all Barbie got was some background music. There was nothing stopping Greta & co from giving Barbie an awesome scene with singing and dancing and a Mark Ronson/Slash masterpiece, but she didn't, so here we are.
