You know, something that the audiovisual and ludovisual formats tend to forget often is to transcribe the sense of smell. I'm currently watching No.6 with my flatmate and they very accurately portrayed the quiet traumatism of sexual assault in a way I'd never seen shown, then showed us the protagonists atop a mountain of bodies and not once mentioned the pestilence there should be when the two guys should have been practically asphyxiated with the stench of blood shit and putrefaction. Even in Dragon Age where they love to remind you Ferelden smells of wetdog when you go back to Ostagar or when you run through burning Kirkwall or wade through the southern wetland there's no mention of smells, even though all of those should have their strong distinct unpleasant aromas. Shit, DnD has status conditions linked to smells and in BG3 you're only nauseated when too close to a specific type of undead, but what about the perpetually rotting battleground near Moonlight Inn ?? Te lake should fucking smell !
