Tyler Galpin X Reader: Not a monster, just done monstrous things.
Tumblr media
Summary: Tyler knows something if off and you are the only one he could trust. Because you're his friend or maybe... something more.
Warning: none this is pure fluff
There was something wrong with Tyler.
He didn't know when it had started but he knew something inside him had changed. Once this realization had made its way into his head strange things started occurring.
It began with the dreams. He’d find himself dreaming about the woods that surrounded the small town he’d grown up in. Unusual places he’d never gone to in his waking hours would flash into his mind during his shifts at the cafe. Then things escalated. He'd woken up in a cave, his body completely bare and covered in blood. He didn’t remember what he’d done but he knew it had been bad. He knew something was off but he didn’t know how to stop it.
You’ve been studying in Nevermore for over a year now and in that time you and Tyler had become friends. You’d often pop up at the cafe before class for a cup of coffee and a good morning from your favorite barista. Tyler would always greet you with a smile which you returned. Today however you found yourself worrying about him. You’d gotten there at your usual time and instead of finding him behind the counter you were greeted by one of the other workers. You’d asked about your friend and found out that he’d called yesterday night saying he wasn’t feeling well enough to go to work in the morning. You rushed out of the cafe before the poor girl behind the counter could ask for your order.
You’d been to Tylers house before so you knew how to get there. You were sure you’d get an earful from principal Weems for missing your first class but you’d be willing to tolerate it if it meant making sure Tyler was alright.
Once you’d gotten to the house you knocked on the front door and waited for someone to answer.
“Coming.”
Sheriff Donavan’s voice came from inside the house, followed by the sound of Tylers mumbled complaints which calmed your nerves slightly because it meant he was still well enough to bicker with his dad. You watched the door open and Sheriff Donavans head pop out from behind it.
“Well hello there.”
“Hi Mr Galpin.”
“Aren't you supposed to be at Nevermore?”
“Yeah but I heard Tyler wasn’t feeling too well and I wanted to check on him. Is it alright if I come in?”
Sheriff Donavan looked at you for a moment as if contemplating your question. The first time you’d come over the sheriff had been a bit uneasy at your arrival, the whole “school of freaks'' thing making him wonder if you were a good influence for his son but with time he became used to the idea of your friendship with Tyler.
“Alright, go on up. He’s in his room.”
“Thanks.”
You made your way to Tylers room fully expecting to find him laying in bed with the sheets up to his nose and surrounded by an amalgamation of used tissue paper littering his floor. Instead you’d found him bent over his desk scribbling away at a piece of paper like a mad man. You slowly approached the boy, bending over a bit to see what he was drawing.
“That’s a bit gory.”
Tyler jumped up from his chair at the sound of your voice causing his shoulder to hit your nose.
“Holy crap!”
Your hand went up to cover your face, the sudden impact startling you.
“Oww Tyler, I think you broke my nose.”
“What the hell are you doing here?”
“I went to the cafe and you weren’t there. Your coworker said you called in sick.”
You got a good look at Tyler. He didn't look sick at all, if anything he seemed a bit better then normal.
“You don’t look sick.”
“I’m not.”
“So you just wanted to ditch work for the day. Gosh Tyler seems like my bad nature is rubbing off on you.”
Tyler’s face completely changed at your comment, his brows moving into a worried expression.
“Don’t say that.”
“Why not?”
“Because there is nothing wrong with me!”
“So there is something wrong with me, is that what you think?”
You’d adapted a defensive behavior, Tyler had seen you doing before but never directed towards him. He didn’t consider you a freak so you’d never found yourself having to tell him off. Until now.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Oh really? Because that sure as hell what you said.”
“I’m sorry. I just…I had a rough night.”
Tyler grabbed your hand into his own caressing it slightly as he spoke. Your eyes softened at the gesture, your gaze falling onto his face. He looked like he hadn’t slept well. You knew the feeling.
“Want to talk about it?”
“I don’t really know how to.” “How come?”
“Because I don't even really know what happened.”
You watched Tyler fiddle with his clothes nervously before his eyes went up to look at yours again.
“When you first transformed…could you…did you feel it? Like could you remember everything?”
“Not everything. I mean werewolves normally keep a state of consciousness when we transform but that's now how it works for everyone. There isn’t right or wrong with this kind of stuff. It just is how it is. Why do you ask?”
“I’ve been having these dreams. More like flashes really. They come out of nowhere and I can't control them.”
“You could be having visions. Loads of different people have them. Sometimes seers start developing their powers through visions. Do you know of anyone who was an outcast in your family?”
“My mom went to Nevermore. Dad almost never talks about her but I found an old picture in one of his boxes. She was a student there but I have no clue what she was.”
“Maybe you got the gene from her. I could ask Principal Weems if you-”
“No!”
Tyler rose for where he was sitting abruptly. You started up at him.
“Sorry, I just don’t want anyone to know yet.”
“Okay then. But if you need anything I'm here for you.”
“Thanks.”
Tyler pulled you into a hug. You nuzzled into him, enjoying the way his smell surrounded you.
“I have to go now but keep me posted okay?”
“Yeah I will. Thanks again.”
“Hey that's what friends are for.”
You’d made it back to school in time for your second lesson and to your surprise Principal Weems didn’t chew you out. She was far too busy with Nevermores' new student to notice you were gone. Thank goddess for that.
The following  weeks went by as usual. You'd go to the cafe and chat with Tyler before class and the two of you would hang out whenever you had free time. Tyler had found an interest in Wednesday Addams, the new girl, and even though it made you a bit jealous you never admit it to anyone. Things seemed to be going smoothly around Jericho until the attacks started becoming more predominant. Of course the normie sheriff believed Nevermore had something to do with it while the rest of the townies believed it to be a bear.
Tyler didn’t mention his visions to you again so you supposed they had stopped happening. The two of you had allied with Wednesday on her search for the creature causing all the killings which only seemed to cause more and more problems for both of you. Wednesday seemed to have a suspect but she refused to share it with the rest of you. You knew pushing her wouldn’t do anything so you just let it be.
You found yourself unable to sleep one night, a small gut feeling making you stay awake. You lay in your bed staring up at the ceiling and waiting for the uneasiness to go away. Then your phone started ringing. You picked up the device glancing at the screen. Tyler's name greeted you. You looked at the time. What the hell was Tyler calling you about at three in the morning?
“Tyler?”
“Sorry did I wake you?”
“No, I couldn't sleep. What’s up?”
“Can you leave the school?”
“I mean not officially but I have a secret escape route. Where would I be going?”
“The woods.”
Your stomach dropped at the sound of Tyler's voice. It didn't sound right to your ears, his goofy nature being replaced by a darker tone.
“You there?”
“Yeah I'm just…what's going on Tyler. The woods at 3 am. Considering there is some sort of monster around it doesn't seem very safe.”
“The monster won’t be a problem.”
“How do you know?”
“Please just come. I need you.”
Well how were you supposed to say no to him when he asked like that?
“Yeah okay i'm going.”
You walked through the woods, your eyes looking at your phone to make sure you were going in the right direction. Once the small icon on your map made it to the destination you put your phone away and looked around.
“Tyler you here?”
You heard some rustling in the leaves making your claws come out in a defensive manner. You turned abruptly towards the noise ready for combate.
“Wow! It’s just me.”
Your shoulders dropped at the sight of Tyler.
“You can’t do that Ty!”
“You scared of me?”
“No of course not but come on, it’s the middle of the woods and totally dark. I think I'm allowed to be a bit on edge.”
“I would never hurt you.”
“Yeah i-”
“I need you to know that. I need you to be one hundred percent sure that I would never harm you.”
“Okay… Tyler what’s up why are you acting like this?”
“I know who the monster is.”
“Really? Are you sure?”
“Yeah I'm sure.”
“How come?”
“Because it’s me. I'm the monster.”
You wanted it to be a joke. A sick twisted joke but you knew Tyler wouldn’t do that. Not with something so serious. So that meant Tyler, your best friend, the guy you’d risk everything for, was a murderous monster. You didn’t know what to do. The correct thing was to turn him in but you couldn’t do that.
“Can you control it?”
“No. Not really. I’m consious when it happenes so I remember everything but I'm not in control. Please don’t hate me.”
“Oh Ty i could never hate you. It’s just you know it's a lot.”
You moved closer to Tyler pulling him into a hug. He didn’t hesitate to hold onto your body, his shoulders relaxing into your hold. He had hoped you wouldn’t judge him but there was a small part of him that had believed you’d scream and run once you’d found out. He was glad you didn’t.
“Don’t worry Ty. We’ll figure something out.”
You kept Tyler's secret for the rest of the week knowing that if the others found out they wouldn’t react as well as you. Tyler had assured you that if he started feeling a change coming he'd call you first thing.
Everything seemed to be in control.
And then Wednesday got Xavier locked up and ended up being expelled. The day she was supposed to leave you’d gotten a text from Tyler saying: “Something will happen tonight. Meet me in the woods.”. You followed his instructions, staying hidden behind one of the trees as he met Wednesday. In the middle of the interaction you noticed Tylers posture had become more rigid. You got up from your spot just as he looked your way. His features seemed to be split between two feelings: complete dread and unbearable excitement. The change was starting. You rushed over to where he was pushing Wednesday out of the way.
“Get out of here!”
“You knew.”
“Wednesday we can talk later, just go!”
You expected her to remain glued to her spot in defiance but instead she listened to your command, running to the school. You heard your name from behind you causing you to turn to where Tyler had been but he was no longer there. You moved your head up to look at the creature in front of you. You’d heard about Hydes before but seeing one up close was something else. They were gnarly looking alright.
“Tyler!”
You waved your arms trying to call its attention to you. It didn't work the Hyde was focused on his target. You watched as the monster turned to were Wednesday had ran to.
“No! Tyler over here!”
You couldn’t stop him, at least not in your human form. You took deep breaths, focusing your mind to make your change begin. When you opened your eyes again you were in your wolf form. You raced after the hyde jumping onto its back as you tried to make the creature turn back into Tyler. The hyde fought back furiously. It managed to grab you and throw you against a rock. You let a howl of pain at the impact making the creature stop moving. It turned to face you and when you looked up at it you were greeted by Tyler's eyes. You watched as Tyler forced himself back to his original form before rushing over to you. You switched into your human form as he approached you.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t want to but I couldn't stop it.”
You winced as you tried to sit up making Tyler look at you with guilt.
“It’s okay. You’re back now.”
“Here.”
Tyler handed you a jacket from his bag for you to cover up. A blush stained your cheeks when you realized how exposed the two of you were. You glanced up at Tyler, noticing his face was also slightly pinker than normal. Now was not the time to start behaving like a kid with a crush but you couldn’t help it. You’d always seen Tyler as more of a friend and you often thought that his relationship with you wasn't always as black and white as it seemed.
“What are you thinking about?”
“You made me change. I couldn’t have done that if it weren’t for you.”
“I wonder why that is.”
“I don’t have to wonder. I know why.”
Tyler moved his hand so that it was around your neck, forcing you to lean your head up to him. Your faces were so close you could feel his breath on your lips.
“It’s because I like you, more than just a friend.”
Before you could even respond he had leaned down and kissed you. Never would you have imagined that this would be how your night would end. Kissing Tyler Galpin, the hyde, in the middle of the woods after battling against him for your life. But it didn’t matter. None of it mattered. The world could be burning and you wouldn’t care. You’d find a way to deal with Tylers situation together. Everything was going to be alright. For now you chose to focus on the feeling of his lips on yours. The rest could wait until tomorrow.

Opposites - Xavier Thorpe.
A/N - Apparently I just write Angst when it comes to Xavier.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"I miss you, tiny."
Beaming at the text you'd just received from your boyfriend who isn't your boyfriend but kinda is your boyfriend you quickly typed out a reply.
"I miss you too, lanky."
"Who's got you grinning at your phone?" Your mother teased from the other side of the breakfast table. "Is it the mysterious boyfriend?" You rolled your eyes at her. "He's not my boyfriend, Mom. Xavier and I are just-" She cut you off. "-Just friends, I know, I know." She studied you from across the table for a couple of minutes before she said. "You should invite him to dinner, we can order pizza or Chinese food?" You let out a small gasp. "Really?" She nodded. "Really. When is he allowed to leave the school grounds? Weekends? How about Friday night?" This is why you loved your mom, having you young she knew how judgemental other people could be, how horrible they could be and she'd never judged Xavier for being an Outcast, for going to Nevermore. They'd met once. When he ended up in the hospital where she works after Tyler Galpin and his friends beat the shit out of him, it was when you'd first met him as well.
"Mom!" She turned away from her colleague instantly hearing the panic in your voice as you all but fell through the doors of the ER, trying your best to support the tall boy's weight. "Honey, what happened?!" She asked, rushing towards the two of you. "Who is this?" She added as she supported his other side, leading the two of you towards a room. "I don't know his name, I was reading, he was painting a beautiful mural across the road when Tyler Galpin and his friends jumped him and defaced the mural." Your mom huffed, never a fan of bullies and helped you sit the boy down on the bed and started gathering the supplies she would need to clean his wounds, one or two of them you were sure would need stitches. The boy coughed and then croaked out his name. "Xavier." Both you and your mom stopped and turned to look at him, not sure he'd even spoken at all. "My name is Xavier." He croaked again. "Y/N, go and get him some water." She'd slipped into nurse mode and you weren't going to argue. "Xavier honey, can you tell me your last name and your birthday?" She asked as you left. When you'd returned she'd wiped most of the blood from his face but as predicted, he needed stitches. He was eyeing the needle of the anesthetic she was going to give him nervously so you sat yourself down next to him and asked him any questions you could think of to distract him. "Do you think aliens exist?" You asked as you handed him the bottle of water. Your mom quirked an eyebrow at you from his other side and you shrugged in response. "I go to Nevermore, I don't think there's much that doesn't exist." He answered. "Is it really as creepy there as everyone says?" "Y/N!" Your mom scolded you. He let out a tiny laugh that caused him pain, you could tell from the wince. "Does your side hurt, Xavier?" Your mom asked and he nodded. "Okay honey, let's get you stitched up and down to x-ray to see if there's any broken ribs." You sat with him the whole time and then waited with him for Principal Weems to show up. "You helped me. Why?" His question took you by surprise. "It was the right thing to do." You'd told him. "I'm an Outcast, most people wouldn't." You shrugged. "So what? We might be different but that doesn't mean you deserve to be treated any differently to me." He gave you a small smile. "You're alright for a Normie." You laughed. "I should hope so, I lost my copy of Lord of The Ring's throwing it at Tyler's head trying to get him off you." He snorted a small laugh. "You're a nerd too! Even better!" When you got home that night, you had a message request on Instagram and the pair of you began a budding friendship.
"Alright, I gotta go to work, invite Xavier, love you!" Your mom said as she kissed the top of your head and left to go to work.
"Xav!! Guess what?!" You'd text him as soon as she'd left and it struck you as odd that he hadn't replied straight away like he usually does, you busied yourself with getting ready for school and headed out the door. It was lunchtime when he finally replied.
"Y/N/N!! What?" Can a text message sound off? Is that a thing? Because his did, but you shook it off and replied.
"Mom's invited you for dinner on Friday, either pizza or Chinese food, you game?" Again, there was no instant reply and when it did come after dinner it was one word.
"Sure."
Something had been off with Xavier and you couldn't quite put your finger on what it was. But today was Wednesday. Wednesday meant coffee at the Weathervane after school and Xavier's therapy session. As usual you'd make your way there straight after school and start on your homework while you waited for him. You heard the bell above the door go and scribbled your final answers to your homework, having sat in your usual booth you knew he'd know where to find you so you didn't look up straight away, when you did, your heart sank a little. Xavier was sitting on the other side of the coffeeshop with someone you'd never seen, a girl you'd never seen, two identical black plaits and bangs covering her face. He looked enthralled with her. "Ooooh, tough break Y/N, your weirdo boyfriends ditched you." You fought back the lump in your throat. "Fuck off, Lucas." The boy laughed loudly at you as you were trying to pack your things away as quickly as you could, and it drew Xavier's attention to you. Not wanting to meet his eyes you scrambled up and in a rush to leave you fell over your own feet and crashed right into Tyler, who was carrying a tray of hot drinks that ended up all down your front. "Y/N!" Xavier was on his feet, you were mortified. You held a hand up to him to stop him coming any closer. "I'm fine! Go back to…" "Wednesday." The girl introduced herself. Wednesday, the girl you'd heard plenty about, the girl Xavier had rearranged plans with you more than once for. You forced a smile, you were pleased he was making friends you told yourself. "Well it's nice to meet you on this fine Wednesday, Wednesday!" You chirped awkwardly and Xavier had definitely noticed it. "I have to go!" And you turned and ran like a coward.
"Mom! Don't laugh at me! It was mortifying!" She continued to laugh. "I'm sorry baby, I can just picture it!" You huffed and dug your spoon back into the tub of ice-cream you'd been drowning yourself in, ignoring the constant stream of texts you'd been receiving since you got home. "So you do like him then? More than just a friend?" She asked gently. "Well, yeah, I thought we liked each other." She placed her hand on yours gently. "Well, have the two of you ever spoken about that?" You shook your head. "I just thought it was a thing, that we were a thing." She let out a small sigh. "Then baby, he's not really done anything wrong. I know you don't want to hear it but if you've never told him how you feel about him and you've never talked about being a thing, then…" she trailed off as your phone went off again. "But it's Wednesday. We always meet on Wednesday's" She smiled at you. "She's new to the school and town, maybe he was just being nice and showing her around, sweetie, maybe read some of his messages before we panic and uninvite him from dinner and curse his name, yeah?" You nodded at her as you got up from the table and dragged yourself upstairs. It wasn't until you were in your pyjamas and curled into your bed that you looked at your phone.
1 Missed Call - Xavier Thorpe
"Are you okay?"
"Y/N?"
"Talk to me."
2 Missed Calls - Xavier Thorpe
"It's nice to meet you on this fine Wednesday, Wednesday?"
"What was that about?"
"Seriously, Y/N, are you okay?"
"Please don't ignore me."
3 Missed Calls - Xavier Thorpe
"Okay, you're mad, I get it, Wednesday is our day where we hang out."
"Y/N, come on."
"I need to know if you're okay."
"I'll climb through your window, I swear to god, Y/N"
4 Missed Calls - Xavier Thorpe
"Please Tiny, I'm sorry."
The last message nearly broke you, Tiny. Your heart had cracked every time he'd called you by your name in his messages. You didn't reply, you couldn't, what could you say without sounding childish. He never climbed through your window.
You woke up feeling groggy, your eyes were sore and your head was swimming. You looked at your phone to see the texts had continued into the night, but he had stopped trying to call. As you showered and got ready for school you decided you'd at least text him back. Shouldering your backpack and putting your headphones in as you walked out of your house, your Mom long gone as she was on the early shift, you selected the playlist Xavier and you had made during one of your Wednesday's at the Weathervane and clicked play, because you were a sucker for pain.
"Sorry I fell asleep. I'm fine. See you Friday if you still want to come for dinner. You don't have to, it's cool, no worries." This time the reply was instant.
"Don't do that to me! People are dying, Y/N! I've been worried sick! Of course I'm still coming for dinner."
"Could've climbed through the window, couldn't have been that worried. See you Friday." You knew it was a low blow, but it momentarily made you feel better. There was no reply.
The remainder of Thursday and Friday had been horrific. Constant teasing from Lucas and his friends about Xavier and how he'd ditched you. Barely any words said between you and Xavier and a constant anxiety growing about seeing him tonight. You'd tried to reach out but again there was no reply.
"Pizza or Chinese, what are you feeling for tonight? Really looking forward to seeing you!"
"If you still want to come, that is?"
"It's okay if you don't, I understand. Things have been weird between us lately."
"Just let me know."
Which led you here, pacing in your living room, anxiously checking your phone and chewing your nails. "Honey, I'm sure he'll be here." Your Mom tried to reassure you, but there was something in the pit of your stomach telling you that she was wrong.
4:30PM - "What time do you think you'll get here? Do you want me to meet you in town and we can walk here together?"
5:15PM - 1 Call to Xavier Thorpe (Missed)
6:00PM - "Xavier?"
7:30PM - "Are you okay?"
7:45PM - 2 Calls to Xavier Thorpe (Missed)
8PM - "I guess you aren't coming."
8:45PM - 3 Missed Calls to Xavier Thorpe (Missed)
9PM - "I've told Mom to eat, she said she's sorry you couldn't make it and that you're welcome anytime."
10:30PM - "I really hope you're okay. I won't lie. I'm hurt. I'm hurt that you ditched me on Wednesday for Wednesday. I'm hurt that you didn't come tonight. I'm hurt that I'm hurt. I'm hurt that I'm hurt because of you. I'm sorry for how I acted on Wednesday and for what I said on Thursday morning. I miss you, Xav."
He didn't reply.

Xavier Thorpe X Reader: Unrequited love
Tumblr media
Warning: None but this is just angsty. There is a happy ending but not with Xavier.
Being able to know what other people were feeling had its perks. It made it easy to counsel those around you. You never had to wonder the effects you had on others since you knew exactly how they felt to be around you. There was a downside to it though. Knowing others emotions meant you had to deal with the pain of feeling someone you like fall for someone else.
You had been at Nevermore for a couple of years and in that time you’d made quite a selection of friends but one of them stood out from the rest. Xavier Thorpe was one of your closest friends and unfortunately for you the boy whose fingers had wound themselves around your heart. No one knew about your crush on Xavier including the boy himself. The reason for this was that he’d never displayed any kind of loving emotions while you were around him. You were stuck inside the friend zone and to make matters worse you knew for a fact that you had no chance whatsoever.
You’d tried to get over him for a long time but nothing seemed to work. When he started to date Bianca it felt like your heart had been ripped from your chest. Fortunately you hid your pain well. And since no one in school had abilities like yours no one questioned you about it. Xaviers relationship caused you to distance yourself a bit from him, the pain being too overwhelming to handle constantly.
Then out of a sudden they broke up and who did Xavier come running to? You of course. You had been best friends after all. And you greeted him with open arms. He talked about his fears in the relationship and you listened to him vent for hours. Even though the circumstances weren’t the best you were glad to have him back, even if only as a friend. Things seemed to change after the break up. You’d often find yourself wondering if something was wrong with your readings. Xavier had gotten more touchy with you and you swore that some of his affirmations had taken a more flirty tone. Despite that, your abilities still read his emotions around you as mainly happy and nothing more. That didn't stop you from clinging to hope however.
That is until she arrived.
Wednesday Addams was a strange person. For the first time since you developed your powers you’d found someone you couldn't read. No matter how hard you tried you sensed no emotions from Wednesday's unusually pale frame. It made you wonder if perhaps she was some sort of zombie. You had nothing against Wednesday. She made no difference in your life. You weren’t looking for new friends and she didn’t seem to be either so it worked.
Then suddenly things went off the rails.
Xavier started gravitating towards Wednesday like some sort of lost puppy. You’d search for him around school and often find him glancing at the girl from afar. Once you even managed to catch him drawing a portrait of her in his sketchbook. The moment you had appeared he rushed to hide the image. The flirty comments stopped and Xavier stopped hanging out with you in his free time. You knew it wasn’t her fault but you’d started to develop a small hatred for Wednesday. The last straw was the Rave’n dance.
You didn’t expect Xavier to invite you but it still stung when you found out Wednesday had invited him. But what hurt the most was arriving at the dance and seeing him with Bianca. He hadn’t told you that his plans with Wednesday hadn’t worked out and instead of asking you, his supposed best friend, to go with him he preferred to go with his Ex. You tried to tune him out, deciding to dance with Enid instead. Suddenly Wednesday had appeared at the party accompanied by none other than Tyler Galpin. Your eyes snapped in Xaviers direction, the feeling of anger that surrounded him hitting you immediately. You watched Wednesday on the dance floor and you had to admit she had moves. Your feet started to hurt so you decided to take a break. You made your way to Xavier's table greeting both him and Bianca before sitting down.
“Can I talk to you really quick?”
“Oh sure.”
You followed Xavier to a corner wondering what he needed to talk about.
“I need a favor.”
“Okay. What favor?”
“I need you to read Wednesday for me. I’m going to talk to her and I want you to tell me what she feels.”
You started up at Xavier, a knot forming in your stomach. He took your silence for acceptance, giving you a nod before turning around.
“Come on.”
“No.”
“What?”
“Honestly Xavier, screw you. You ditch me for Bianca and then when you two are done you come running back to me only to ditch me again for Wednesday. So no, I'm not gonna read shit for you.”
With that you stormed out leaving Xavier behind. You found a corner and sat down. You’d promised yourself not to cry but the tears seemed to have a mind of their own. You hugged your legs, placing your head on your knees and letting every bit of anger out through your tears.
“What are you doing?”
Your head snapped up at the monotone words, your eyes falling on Wednesday. Great, just what you needed.
“What does it look like I'm doing?”
“Considering your makeup is all smudged I'd say crying.”
“That was a rhetorical question.”
Wednesday watched you for a moment.
“Why are you crying?”
“Boys are stupid.”
“Yes they are. But what does that have to do with it?”
“I liked a boy and he doesn't feel the same way. Plus he acted like a total jerk.”
“Want me to stab him for you?”
You looked up at Wednesday with wide eyes. A small smirk formed on her lips and for the first time you were able to read her. She was happy because she scared you. What was wrong with this girl?
“I was kidding. Unless you want me to.”
“No it's alright. Thanks for the offer though.”
You got up from your spot, running your hands over your clothes to smoothen them before whipping under your eyes. You looked up at Wednesday.
“You know you’re lucky.”
“Why’s that?”
“You don't care about what anyone thinks of you. It must be liberating.”
“Honestly sometimes I wish I cared more.”
A small frown appeared on her face as she said it and it made you wonder if she just acted like she didn't care to avoid getting hurt. It must be hard to pretend something like that. You decided you weren’t going to let Xavier ruin your night.
“Hey, you think you could teach me some of your moves?”
Wednesday glanced at you and nodded. The two of you made your way back to the dance.
“Just to be clear, I'm not looking for friends.”
“Yeah you’ve made that pretty clear. But it’s cool we can just be two people enjoying a dance together. If you’re okay with that.”
“Yes, that sounds…pleasant.”
You gave Wednesday a smile. Which she didn’t return but you didn't take it to heart. That was just the way she was and you could learn to live with that. You heard someone call out your name. Enid came running into view, her bubbly smile filling you with a warm feeling of happiness.
“There you two are! I was looking for-”
Enid noticed the slight stain under your eyes.
“Oh are you okay?”
“I wasn’t but i'm better know.”
“Oh good.”
Enid pulled you into a hug.
“If you need anything I'm here for you.”
“Thanks Enid. Actually there is one thing you could do.”
The werewolf let go of you holding your shoulders as she looked at your face.
“Sure what is it?”
“Help me tear up the dance floor?”
“Of course!”
Enid grabbed onto your hand, a giggle leaving her lips as she led you to the dance floor. You turned to look as Wednesday, your hand shooting out in invitation. She glanced at it and despite not grabbing onto you she followed you and Enid to the dance floor. The three of you danced to the music happily. You didn't know where Xavier was and honestly you didn't care. You were having the time of your life. What a great end to the night. I mean what could possibly go wrong now? That’s when it started to rain blood.

Anyone else think that after season 1 it's a daily occurrence for Enid to just tackle hug Wednesday?
