ballerina marinette lives rent free in my head
#mari going to uni to be a fashion designer#taking up gynastics in her free time#then attending one (1) ballet class and fallung in love#taking up ballet and droping gynastics#mari performing on stage as a ballerina and her friends coming to support her#adrien cheering the loudest in the crowd#:(#miraculous ladybug#marinette dupain cheng#ladybug#adrien agreste#adrienette#love square#omg adrien privately taking up ballet as well and helping her practice as chat noir#chat noir becoming her practice partner bc they’ve always worked beautifully together#her coach or whatever tf their called in ballet watchibg chat noir and mari dance flawlessly#the coach (?) telling them that they have to dance together in the performance bc it was just so beautiful#shennanigans as chat noir tries to come up with an excuse as to why he cant but the coach (?) wont hear any of it#now adrien has to come up with an excuse as to why he cant come watch but he wont be able to stand the sullen expression on mari’s face#so he has to find a way to be there as both adrien and chat noir#adrien sitting in the seats until its mari’s turn and then sneaking out to show up back stage as chat#calming a worried mari who thought he wasnt gonna show and then them both swinging on stage together#giving the performance of a life time#and then chat leaving for adrien to reappear#alya conplaining that he missed chat noir but its okay bc she got it all on tape#adrien complimenting mari after the show and then chat finding her later that night to compliment her again#is it obvious i prefer marichat?? should i attend a risqué event
#31st january. in london. the week after my exams#event is free but i'd have to stay at a hostel#i could take the coach nice and early then enjoy the day there#make it a little trip#so even if i chicken out at the last minute it wouldn't have been a complete waste of time#maybe if i can bring alcohol it'll be alright#OUGHHHHHHHHHH#if it's in london nobody will know me#and if i mess up then i'll never have to see these people again#if i make just one acquaintance it would be worth it#and it's 18-25 so ... yay#need to get myself out there more#maybe this is just me at 11pm having crazy ideas but ive been known to decide to do things at worse hours and they've turned out okay#joined a muay thai class at 2am. that went great. i put myself down as 'interested' for redacted event at 11pm#that's fine#this is fine#all is well my life is going great#not feeling unstable at all#😬😬😬

Oh dear...
Alex is attending one of the most prestigious magic academies in the country, on the orders of his parents of course. Even though Laiz Fier Academy reviles even the name of the only type of magic he's ever been good at. His parents swore he'd find another specialty here, and he'd let himself believe them, like the idiot he is. He's scraping by in classes. Barely. At least he's managed to make a couple of friends and figure out how to sneak into the library stacks to find books that will actually help him hone his skills.
However, Alex realizes now there's a reason why it's not recommended to do your first summoning alone. Because, while he does manage to summon a demon, it doesn't exactly end up in the silvery urn he'd laid in the center of the pentagram.
So now he has a talking, demonic Furby to hide. One that, despite its too-wide eyes and disconcertingly smooth voice, Alex thinks he might be developing feelings for.

Alex knows he should figure out how to undo it and send Willie back to Hell or wherever#but then he has to rush to hide him first before he gets caught#and then they end up chatting a fair amount over the next few days#because Alex is a world class insomniac and Willie just doesn't sleep#but Alex is kept too busy with classes and stuff to go back to the library to find the stuff to sort out the mess he's made#and if Willie knows how to do it he isn't sharing#(he totally knows but it's his first time in the human world in ages and Alex is nice and kinda cute tbh so...)#and...they become friends? And also develop massive crushes on each other?

#LET ME TAKE THE SEX CLASS OR THOU PERISH#i finished the core classes i needed so i can take one of my 2 electives#why is it a big deal with me taking an elective in fall when im gonna finish my degree at the same speed and time regardless?#it doesn't throw a wrench into the requirements#they know me well enough that i work my ass off on assignments#AND one of the groups I'm primarily going to serve are LGBTQ#heck im already doing that with coaching#so taking a class in multicultural considerations toward human sexuality is gonna be important AF for me#they might not even offer the course until next summer or ever depends on the cohort request on electives#and I'm burnt out and damn it i need a class to look forward to after my summer break#imma fighting this#expect an apa paper on why you should let me do my thing#and a permisson slip that says “I can do what I want” a la Ron Swanson#magenta#magenta is my vent word#safe word for venting

I’ve dreamt of the same person 4 nights this week
#it’s someone I’ve never met but I could describe him in detail#every time I wake up from the dream it feels like a thread wearing thin until it snaps#like we’re connected somehow#I think I might be in love with this dream guy#he wears pinkish red glasses#hes a teacher at a college- but he’s a (very good) physicist#he’s married (✋🏽😔)#his dad died recently and left him his boat. he hasn’t had time to work on it recently but he really loves it#the first dream we met if I recall correctly since it was almost a week ago#I believe I sat in on his class accidentally while I was looking for my actual class and then stayed because I was mesmerized by him talking#then he pointed out that I wasn’t in his class and we talked as he walked me across campus to my class#later that night we ran into each other at a local bar and ended up hanging out all night (bar hopping but it felt like a date almost)#the second dream I saw him in was mostly watching him from afar on the campus#at the end of that one I heard that he got recognized for something he did in physics#and this one was#well. very romantic#like unintentionally#waking up was actually agony today#put me back in coach#this one I was out with coworkers at said bar again#working on some sort of project I think and then dream guy walks in#I think he ended up accosting one of my friends over a spilled drink or something but in a nice way#so I used it as an excuse to -diffuse the situation- to go talk to him#so he ends up sitting with us at our table and chatting and he tells me about his physics thing#and he had such a sweet look in his eyes when I told him I was proud of him and how smart he was#somehow I ended up curled up in his lap snuggled up against him while we were all talking#because for some reason we’re very comfortable with each other#the dream ended with us looking into each others eyes after I said something about his dad and the boat#the (are we about to kiss right now??) look in his eyes jolted me awake since I was like. but he’s married!!! I’m not evil!!#but maybe I am now I guess

torn between going to the team pregame party so i can have a slightly negative but mostly neutral last impression of the night or (not really actually) lying about getting a headache and just going to bed so i dont have to see anyone else tonight
#context im absolutely pissed at everyone :thumbsup:#our game today was GARBAGE. it started off ok but then the second we get scored on everything goes off the rails#i didn't dress today (played yesterday and hadn't been scratch in a while) so i literally could not do a thing to help that#(my game was good i played well and vibes were decent)#vibes were not decent after today#IT WAS SENIOR NIGHT. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN.#i worked so hard on one of the gifts it was a hand (digitally) painted portrait of each of them!! it took me a month but turned out so cool#it burnt me out though.#and they liked it which is good :)#but this was supposed to be the end of the stress and then we were supposed to have fun !!#but then everyone decided to give up in the third and then everyone hates each other now.#one of the seniors went to the front of the room and basically called everyone out for giving up when she was the one who gave up most#which like fine. whatever. uncalled for but we can move on#but it's also my buddys bday so our class took her to get dinner to celebrate#but then the whole time they trash talked the team and or coach#and didn't include her at all#and im just mad now. im so mad about that#they didn't even notice she hadn't said a word in 20 minutes#we were going for her!!! to celebrate her!! and yall cannot put aside twenty minutes to have a good conversation with her!!!#what the heck!!!!!!!!!!#and then when i brought it up near the end to my old roommate and good friend she just went “oh its fine” NO ITS NOT>??????>?#i dont want to go. but i dont want to end it like this#and everything hurts. my body just hurts.#im tired my head hurts my hips are KILLING me#im so done

#ace's face#+Extra#its all well and good going awaaay for you uni to get distance from your parents until any other family member tries to organise something#spent Friday travelling home straight after class going straight from the party to get an overnight coach thatll get me back at 6am Sunday#but had to be done cant act like i dont care just cus of the distance#this one was an engagement and housewarming party so seemed more significant than going to an event that was for just one thing#im missing a babyshower several birthdays and something else too im p sure#but i got classes assignments and sht plus the travel costs and time is insane#i need to learn to drive honestly

was super obvious about my crush today but i did get a sweet failed hip bump sweep to successful scissor sweep to failed cross collar choke to failed arm triangle to failed s mount armbar to mounted triangle to roll to traditional triangle finish
#ok so its like a super long convoluted story to basically say i was kind of weird and blushy but probably ultimately not that noticeably so#but we were doing hip bump sweep setup drills and there were odd numbers so he went with me and anyways halfway through the ‘this is kind of#like missionary and our crotches are kind of thrusting together’ thoughts hit and i got kind of blushy and distracted and quietly went to jo#in a training partnership and left him to coach#but he bantered with me about dua lipas levitating so probably not noticeably weirder than i usually am woth him#he did do a kind of sing songy? flirty? (lying to myself) ‘thanks [name]~’ at the end of class so who knows#JOIN. NOT JO. jesus christ#well in other news someone complimented my guard recovery skills hehe

If you're an organizer, activist, or anyone else who may be leading a rally or protest, please consider looking up theatrical vocal techniques and warm-ups. You can really do serious damage to your vocal cords if you don't warm-up your voice the right way or support your voice in the right way. I have been to so many protests, strikes, and other movements where the organizers are hoarse by mid-afternoon from screaming into a microphone or bullhorn all day.
This isn't about aesthetics or anything. You will hurt yourself if you shout for hours at a time, days on end. There are vocal techniques actors and singers use to warm up their voice, and then to support and project their voice safely through a theater. This is how they perform so many shows night after night. I'd really encourage anyone who is an activist, or is even just attending protests right now to look up some videos about how to safely project your voice instead of screaming, and also doing some vocal warm-ups before the protest or rally starts.
#there should be youtube videos but vocal coaches are also just about everywhere esp if youre in a big city or suburb#and its not hard to learn#i had two voice classes a few years ago and im still able to put into practice the things i learned#im not going to say them here only because im not an expert and probably won't describe them well or effectivly

undergrad was so funny i skipped so many classes bc they were a waste of my time but i also skipped important classes bc i caught depression from being mega overworked lol
#fall semester my senior uear was a MESS#it was 4 senior level classes. two of which were notoriously difficult#and i worked over 15 hrs/wk at the dining hall#and i was interning in a lab on campus#AND i was doing crew#my coach tried to get on my ass for not making up practices i missed and i broke down crying bc i was so stressed#he shut up real quick after that lol#i had to drop one of those classes#and one i only was able to pass bc she let us read a book on active learning 4 extra credit#<changed my life#that semester was VERY BAD#also my apartment sucked and it got almost no natural light#oh well things are better now :)#myaa

on today's episode of "morgan wickedhawtwexler brags about her violin skills because that's one of the few things in her life she has to brag about", i went to the intermediate orchestra class today and played 2nd violin with them and was Not Terrible 💅
#one of my friends plays 1st violin in beginner orchestra and 2nd violin in intermediate orchestra#so at the concert he played ALL the group pieces and i was like fuck i wanna do that too#omg and my teacher mentioned multiple times they need more cellists and i'm like!!! girl i volunteer as tribute!!!!!#i have been saying since january i would like to play The Chellow just throw me in coach!!!!#i said once i got into the intermediate classes on violin i was gonna go thru the beginner classes on cello and well. here we are ladies#i'm 4 weeks out from finishing beginner technique & i'm playing in the intermediate orchestra. soooo#after the concert i think i'm gonna see about adding cello. it depends how much it costs to rent one lol#m.txt
