kinda thinking about how hesh not used to be loved and appreciated just because.

elias praised him only when he was a good soldier, brother or son. logan loves him dearly but only because david is literally his parental figure since maybe eleven. in his regiment before stalker they promoted him to lieutenant because he was only one who cared enough about everyone's wellbeing and safety in and out battlefield regardless of ranks. it's like he learned unintentionally that he can receive love and respect only if he's willing to give something in return.

so it's almost bizarre to see kick caring about him just because david is broken, disappointed and angry. to hear him joking around just to make hesh smile even if it's about kick's cringy behaviour. to receive care for absolutely nothing but his willingness to provide it.

'i promise once i'm okay i'll pay you back for all of this,' david wanted once to return the gesture but kick just laughed it off.

'you don't have to. actually, i just want to help you'

'why?'

'well, you're good person, hesh. and i see you struggling and i want to help. that's all'

he says it like it's simple. and maybe it is.

TFone spoiler but a some of a headcanon post:

Megatronus Prime's T-Cog is the only one that is purple, unlike the others. It would be very ironic if the reason for this was because of his resemblance to Unicron, as in the Aligned continuity. His original connection to Unicron was due to the fallen setting, while TFone Megatronus is a truly great and tragic hero.

So think he was a beloved superbaby, born with the best of both Gods, Primus and Unicron, that would make a pretty cute and sad thing. He was very dedicated to his fellow Prime and loved by them. It's a shame he met such a miserable end.

I do find it a little funny that in a fandom where the source material places so much power on deeply complex platonic love, idolatry & worship, and devotion / dedication, so many readers took Gideon's jealousy of Harrow's love of the body to immediately mean Harrow is romantically interested in Alecto. As if that's the only way you can be deeply dedicated and in love with something. And also as if Gideon wouldn't be jealous if Harrow had anything she doted on. Gideon's insecurities about Harrow's feelings on things are hardly the most reliable interpretations. I mean, even Harrow's opinions on her own feelings are like a solid 60% reliable

Hell, that's not even the most blasphemous wasy she can love Alecto! Worshipping her as a sort of false idol (in the way the ninth house sort of does the tomb) is infinitely more interesting to me than her just being "attracted" to her. I mean, some romance is tied in there sure, because the lines are so blurred in this series, but simplifying the connection Harrow has to the body she hallucinates everywhere to be a crush feels a little bit like simplifying the whole matter. But, that's just my two cents lol

By the way, what happened to the Fallen in TFone? As I understand it, didn't he betray his siblings and run away? But somehow he seems to have died with them, I guess? not sure but...If really so, it's possible that he actually stood with other primes to the end and fought against Quintessons, so they hated him so much that twisted the entire Prime mythology to write him off as a despicable traitor. (just delusion I dont know much about 13 prime things) at least that kinda makes sense for him to be a symbol of decepticon revolution.

I'm also wondering what the role of Quintus Prime would be if Quintessons are the main antagonists. I'm a fan of Earthspark too, so I'll have to find out what this guy's up to. 👀

it will always be telling when something like this happens & so many self-proclaimed activists will skirt around concrete statements of judgement & guilt UNTIL an arrest is made. then all bets are off. The most recent arrest for the UHC CEO Assassination was made under suspicion, and yet I'm still seeing people refer to him as "the shooter" without a second thought. So many people are purporting & accepting the alleged guilt of someone simply on the account of an arrest being made-- a form of violence often directed towards people of color and other marginalized populations time and time again. Newsflash: The Police just arrest people, even when a crime hasn't been committed. The idea that 'arrest = guilt' both ruins and ends lives; better to kill the cop inside your head than to uphold systemic violence that kills thousands upon thousands.
