A list of things Kohei Horikoshi one hundo percent intended for us to understand about Hisashi Midoriya, because he definitely implied them uh somewhere in text (next to social structures and a functioning bureaucracy) (Izuku Midoriya substitute teacher is so fucking funny to me tbh like Horikoshi really said bb ur a glorified babysitter till ur bestie gets his money up) (Him being Bakugou's sugar baby hero is SO fucking stupid I wish I could've come up w that)

Canonically Izuku was a fucking immaculate conception.

The real Hisashi Midoriya was the friends we made along the way

I about to start working on Himiko back story but I have to tell you all she’s the most traumatized out of everyone like double the amount of trauma Keith has, well fleshed out trauma but still LOTS of trauma. Good news though I know her story better than most others so it should be finished in a couple days at most

bnha will end soon, and i’m bursting with how much feelings i’m going through especially after i’m reading many congratulations already and thanking to horikoshi for giving us such amazing story. this manga has been with me when i was still in high school, i was just a teen back in 2017 when on that beautiful and older twitter i’ve seen people talking about mha, curiosity got me and i started it and it has been best decision of my life. because this wasn’t a shonen like others, mostly because izuku wasn’t like some other shonen protagonists. he was the voice of all that people that in their life no one encouraged them, that everyone underestimated because someone like them can’t do great things. but despite all they continued to follow their own dreams, no matter how much work it would take. deku has been all of those things, and it’s rare for me to kin a character so much, but he catch my attention because he was and is just like me. i’m not joking that the “deku wouldn’t give up” has been my mantra by now . so, here we are now soon at the end, but it’ll end knowing those characters got our heart and especially deku got kacchan’s heart and became his sun that he finally accepted into his life.

we love our hero academia and thanks horikoshi for showing us this beautiful art, reaching at a conclusion of bakugou and izuku’s development as both characters and their relationship

I believe that AFO could be still telling his own story from a external pov because even in current times he sees his own actions from a third pov, like it was all a part of a comic book

And it could also be that he internalised prejudiced views on quirk users because the period of time where he was born was really ruthless for quirk users 🤷

Yknow what, that would make sense and is more interesting than anything I thought was going on with the narration. The idea that AFO is the narrator talking about himself like a comic book villain is so compelling, I love it. Also fits in with the pattern of villains talking/showing us their own experiences and backstories, just in a different way

And yeah, now that I think about it, the prejudiced view thing sounds like something he would have. With the way he's lived, how could he not internalize the way the world has behaved towards him from day one? It fits for how he seems to view the world and himself

funniest possible outcome for the "who is izuku's dad?" question is if afo very dramatically reveals that he is izuku's father a la darth vader on the battlefield -- "that's right izuku.... i am your father!" -- and everyone stops in shock but izuku just looks confused and is like "what? no you're not. my dad is midoriya hisashi" and afo is like "you foolish boy, midoriya hisashi is my alias! i am your father!" and izuku just goes, "what? no you're not. papa works in hokkaido. that's why he's not home often. look, we went to the musutafu aquarium 3 months ago." and he pulls out his phone and starts flipping through his gallery and just shows afo countless photos of inko and hisashi holding hands, holding baby izuku, izuku sitting on hisashi's shoulders. cue the league in back going, "well this is awkward"

You know, you really gotta appreciate how everyone efforts to bring AFO down, even if they didn't succeed themselves, contributed to actually making him defeatable. Endeavor actually managing to kill for the first time started it by forcing AFO to use rewind. Then Tokoyami and everyone else's onslaught on him make regress to a young enough state where his mental faculties could be more easily exploited by All Might. Heck go back a bit more and even thought she died for it Start and Stripe outsmarting him with her quirk brought them all enough time and weakened him enough to make all of this even possible in the first place. Even if they were defeated, everyone contributions will bring their victory.

Let's be real here, AFO is a tough opponent and then on top of that, there's the other villains that they're fighting. It definitely going to take team effort and power-ups to win this war.

Feat. Kudo breaks down after the sewer incident, an "If you have any respect for me" moment, and lots of boba.

Shiki - The whole package of the aboves, and what the Resistance was like, both on-duty and in moments of calm. Lots of ugly humanity whenever pressure starts to come down.

Feat. The first Three (+ OC) get to meme, Yoichi is the prettiest bastard in the world, Kudo is a snarky bitch obsessed with Disney, and Bruce is the parent of the Resistance. Reality will hit like a truck at times and the humor will be nowhere in sight then.

"Batman" - The irony of having a cliche, aesthetic Meta Ability, and no one (including the wielder) even realizing it exists for over half the story.

Feat. Dressing like a cool, hip vampire, Yoichi calling OC "Batman" unironically (much to Bruce's delight), and iron deficiencies.
