At Indian Wells, during the rain delay: Juanki: So, how long have Jannik and you been together? Carlos, blushing: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Jannik and I are not together. No. No. Juanki: Really? Sixteen ‘no’? Estás seguro, Carlos? Because you've both been smiling and giggling like idiotas for the past hour.

Scandals
Authors note: So, let's talk the Sinner doping thing first. I think the story is legit, it was one billionth of a gram. But, I do think that if Jannik wasn't no. 1 and from Italy he would have been suspended until the investigation ended. Still found innocent, but he'd be benched for a few months at least. As for Carlos smashing rackets... Honestly it was hot. At least to me... I was shocked because he never does stuff like that but I think the Olympic final was still in his mind and he just lost it. Anyway, enjoy these crappy shot fics!
Summary: Two short stories in which our two talented young tennis players, who have recently been in 'scandals', need a little reassurance
Warnings: English isn't my first language, no use of Y/N, gender not specified, everything stated in the Autors note is my opinion and I do not ask everyone to agree!
Word count: 711
Carlos Alcaraz x Reader
"Hey," you say as you enter Carlos' hotel room. "You okay?"
"Mmmmh, come here," he replies, looking you up and down. You walk over and hug him, smoothing out his messy hair. He wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you in close, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck and taking a deep breath. You hold him tight. "What was that about, hm?" you ask cautiously, referring to his anger at the court. He leans his forehead against yours, sighing.
"I just lose myself sometimes. I get too in my own head, too competitive, too hard on myself." He presses closer against you.
"You broke a racket; we were all so shocked..."
Carlos huffs, slightly embarrassed. "I know, I lost my temper... again. I should have done better, but I just couldn't keep it together."
"It's okay," you say, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, baby. Everyone has off days. You weren't feeling great, and Monfils just decided to play his best."
He exhales loudly. "I know, I know, but it's just so irritating. I wanted to win so badly, needed to win so badly... but I just kept screwing up and making stupid errors and—" He stops talking and rests his forehead against your shoulder.
"It's okay. Now you need to relax, get back into the headspace for the US Open. Okay?"
He wraps his arms around your neck, his body pressed tight against yours. "Will you help me? Help me relax?"
"What do you want me to do, baby?" you ask, looking gently into his eyes. Carlos' grip around you tightens, and a vulnerable look enters his eyes. He lets out a deep sigh as he lays his head on your chest. Your touch is soothing as his arms wrap around you, his eyes closing, melting into your embrace.
"You better, baby?"
He nods, nuzzling his face against you. "...Much better…" He pulls you tighter against him, almost like he doesn’t want to let go. Carlos stays there, listening to your heartbeat, feeling the steady rise and fall of your chest. He presses gentle kisses against your collarbone and shoulder, feeling a little clingy.
"Mmm, you wanna stay like this for a bit?"
He nods, slightly embarrassed by the clinginess but too tired to care. "...Just a little longer..."
Jannik Sinner x Reader
"Damn, they really booed you," you say as Jannik comes back from his first-round match. Jannik sighs in annoyance. He walks to his locker and grabs a towel. With a hint of irritation, he responds, "That’s nothing new."
He takes off his sweat-soaked shirt. "Yeah, but... they were really booing. It's because of the doping scandal—" He pulls out a clean shirt and starts getting dressed. "I don’t know why they still think I’m cheating..."
"...Well, you did get off better than most people would have..."
Jannik closes his locker a bit too hard. He runs a hand through his curly red hair and looks at you. "And what is that supposed to mean?"
"Well, if you weren't world number one, and you didn't have the fancy lawyers, and if it wasn't one billionth of a gram—"
He cuts you off, getting closer to you. The annoyance is evident in his voice. He looks you in the eyes, his tone low and serious. "You think I’m protected because I’m world number one and have money for fancy lawyers?"
"Do you think that if it was me, they would have let me play before I defended my case?"
He's silent for a moment, thinking about what you just said. His face slowly relaxes, and he looks away. "No, probably not…" he says, his voice calmer now.
"Look, I know you're innocent," you say, standing up and wrapping your arms around his bare shoulders. "But you need to know that you got the absolute best-case scenario that most people wouldn't get."
Jannik's face is now completely relaxed too. A few beads of sweat run down his bare chest. He puts his sweaty arms around your waist and looks into your eyes again. He doesn't argue with you anymore because he knows you are right. "I didn’t really see it like that before…"
"You're not a bad person, Jannik. You're just so fucking lucky it's annoying."

ROUTINE ANALYSIS ☆ J.S.
In his short life, Jannik has learned the perfect technique on how subtleties like all great observers have. And somehow, he'll always manage to use these skills on you. word count: 1.9k words - genuinely so glad someone asked for another part. had a lot of fun with this 🙏🏾 warnings: mentions of prayer/spirituality, kissing, sickeningly sweet domesticity
The day before a big match is always the most nervewracking. Excitement, combined with the everpresent fear of failure, finally settles into the pit of an athlete's stomach and waits to be cracked open like an oyster or left to fester as the pearls within those creatures do. And for you, it's no different.
So, to alleviate your very obvious unease, Jannik decided to take it upon himself, on his day off, to practice with you. Having already secured his place in the semi-final, he had decided one less day of rest would be worth it if he could help out the woman he loved.
Practice went well, by all definitions of the word. In fact, it went really well. However, Jannik's praises and your temporary feeling of contentment could not negate the fact you just might buckle underneath the pressure of the match.
The emotions showed at the end of practice when you crouched down with your forehead on the handle of your racket and prayed - aloud - out of Jannik's earshot, of course. You'd never been super big on outward displays of faith like that; you preferred a more reserved, intimate relationship with spirituality. But desperate times call for desperate measures and you had squeezed your eyes tight and prayed as hard as you could. And once you were done, you dusted yourself off, packed your racket bag, and trotted out of the facilities with your boyfriend. You tried to think nothing of it, so Jannik wouldn't notice. But he does. He always does.
Turning the shower off, you wrapped the towel tightly around yourself and opened the door exiting the bathroom. Steam and hot air billowed out around you, casting the light every which way. You looked down, hugging your torso; water drips from your elbows, and you let out a quiet sigh.
"From where I am, you look like an angelo dal cielo, dearest," Jannik says, leaning against an adjacent doorway. You turn away and smile. An angel from heaven. How classy. The Italian's charms never cease to make you blush, no matter how long you've been together. "Why thank you, Jannik," you say, walking over to your bags. You quickly found your nightclothes - one of Jannik's old t-shirts and a pair of spanx - and promptly threw them on.
"You played so well today, amore," Jannik said from behind you, wrapping his hands around your waist. You smile down at your bag. "Really now? Well, I guess I did have an amazing practice partner," you say with a smirk.
"You guess?!?" Jannik pulls away, and you turn around to see the Italian dramatically gaping at you. He faints onto your shared hotel bed with a hand on his forehead. Straight out of the opera. You roll your eyes. "Get up, you bum. We need to brush our teeth." The two of you make your way to the bathroom sink and go through the motions of a usual night. Bumping hips while brushing. Moisturizing each other's faces. Making gargling mouthwash a competition. You don't realize it, not yet, that Jannik is distracting you from the whirlwind of thoughts he knows is in your mind. And future you is already thankful.
You pad your way around the room, turning out the lights and straightening things. Jannik sits in bed rereading David Foster Wallace's String Theory for the hundredth time. He leans closer to the lamp on the nightstand. "You already wear glasses, baby. Don't hurt your eyes anymore," you call out from across the room. Jannik huffs and puts the book down. He knows I'm right, and he can't admit it. Such a man. While making your rounds, you glimpse tomorrow's outfit in the closet, and you almost forget yourself and shudder. Instead, you just close the doors and slip into bed.
Jannik notices you're not as chatty as usual. On a typical night, you'd be talking to him about your day, the funny things you saw on social media, weird texts from your siblings. But it's not a typical night, and Jannik understands.
"You are thinking about tomorrow's match, aren't you," Jannik says, looking at the ceiling. He still hasn't turned off the lamp, so the warm lighting casts half his face in shadow. You reach over and run your hand through his curls. "What makes you say that, Jan?"
"Oh, I don't know. How quiet you were at dinner—the constant sighing and staring into the distance, the praying." He says the last phrase with a sidelong glance, and you close your eyes and breathe. The jig is up. You sink into the bed and look away from him.
"Jan, do you ever get that feeling of 'I'm going to screw everything up once I get out there' before a big match? Because I sure as hell do," you whisper to him. The covers are pulled up to your chin. You're hiding. You're actually ashamed of a feeling so natural. And you aren't sure what upsets you more; the shame or the feeling itself.
Jannik mulls over your question. "No," he says flatly. You sit up straight. Jannik rises to lean on his elbow so he can look you in the eye. "For me, it's always the thought of 'the worst I can do is embarrass myself in front of millions of people.' And honestly, I think that might be worse."
You smile at him. "I think it might be the same," you whisper back at him. You huff, thinking of what to say.
"It's just... I've played countless finals and hope to play countless more, and you've invested so much time, energy, love into me and-"
"You know you can do it, but you still feel like, um, how do I put this, merda?" You've thrown your hands over your face. "Yes. Merda's the word."
Jannik smiles and pulls you into him.
"Well, I can't get rid of the feeling for you, but I can tell you one thing; you are one hell of a tennis player, and that other girl, your opponent, has nothing on you. Not your passion, not your personality, not even your attitude. None of it." He squeezes you with every compliment. A few tears prick your eyes. "So, I want you to throw away all of your doubts and worries. Win or lose, there is nothing you can do to get rid of me now. But you are not going to lose. I can feel it." His hands are on your face, forcing you to look into his dark eyes. You place your hands on his wrists and nod your head. "Okay, Jannik."
"Good," Jannik says with a small smile. And with that, he seals his words into your mind, body, and soul with a kiss on your forehead.
Jannik finally turns off the lamp, and the two of you settle into bed. There's a beat where you both just listen to the sounds of the night. The other's breathing. Cars still rushing by. The ticking of the clock on the wall.
"What did you pray about," Jannik says, breaking the silence. There was never much of it in your relationship, and Jannik knew he should probably revel in the quiet, but he needed to know one last thing before he went to sleep.
"None of your business, dork," you say, snuggling into your pillow.
"Ouch," Jannik says, putting his hand on his heart. You snort a laugh and close your eyes.
"I prayed that all your training wouldn't go to waste and that I'd win tomorrow so I can prove to myself that I am indeed that confident woman I thought...think I am. I'm usually pretty "go with the flow" but I guess someone finally got to me, you know? But overall, it was for guidance and strength."
Something in Jannik's chest tightened. Your tone and the way you described what you were feeling reminded him of himself. He leaned over and kissed your neck.
"You know what Italians call people like you?" You shake your head.
"il preoccupata. Pensatore eccessivo. The worrier. The overthinker. But to be completely honest, I think you are more of il filiosofa - the philosopher. You carefully study everything around you and try to put a name to it. And this time, you couldn't. Your, erm, what's it called when you test something over and over to see if it works?"
"Routine analysis?"
"Yes, that. Your routine analysis," Jan emphasized the phrase you just taught him. "You couldn't check the boxes, and that upset you. But dearest, you are not a robot. Feel as you feel, and don't try to explain it away. It's what makes you human; what makes you, you."
Your bottom lip began to quiver. "Oh, dispiace amore mio. I didn't mean to make you cry. Forget everything I just said.
"No, I-I'm not sad, Jan. It's quite the opposite. You're just s-so right," you blubber into his chest. "And I'm so lucky to have you."
Jannik dips down to kiss you. "Get some sleep, amore. You have a big day ahead of you." You're not sure if it was Jannik's words or all the stress leaving your body (probably both, to be frank), but you had the best night's sleep you've had in weeks.
You beamed up at the cheering crowd. It was next to impossible for you to contain your joy as you walked to the next to shake hands with your opponent. The look on her face was...kind. It was filled with a certain security that is hard to describe.
The two of you shook hands and gave each other a quick hug. "You deserve it," she says as both of you walk to the umpire. Another smile spread across your face. "Oh, stop it."
"No, really. You fought like hell," she says with a laugh. You follow suit, finally feeling the pit in your stomach be filled like a pothole in a parking lot. After hands were shaken and you waved your racket at every person in the stadium, you decided it was time to find Jannik.
You zipped your racket bag shut and weaved in and out of the people setting up cameras and ramps for the trophy presentation. Your trophy. Finally making it to the court entrance, you bounded up flights of stairs and traversed the corridors to your team box, where Jannik awaited you.
He spots you first. He always does. Jannik makes a few quick strides, scoops you up in his arms, and spins you around. You laugh into the air and place your hands on his shoulders to brace yourself.
"I knew you could do it tesoro," Jannik whispers in your ear, bringing you back down to earth. "I know, I know. Should've listened to you earlier," you say looking down at your feet, a bit embarrassed at all your worrying just for everything to turn out okay. He laughs and wraps a long arm around your shoulders.
"You'll be here for the award ceremony, right?" The answer is quite obvious, but you ask the question anyway.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world amore," he said, smiling down at you.
"Front row," you ask sarcastically as you shuffle towards the exit.
"Where else would I be, honey," Jannik smirks. You grin back at him. "Well, I'll see you down there then." And you turn to walk down the stairs.
"Oh, wait," Jannik calls after you.
"Yes, dear?"
"Ti amo bambina," Jannik says, leaning down the stairs to look you in the eye. Your heart tightens a bit.
"Anch'io ti amo, Jannik," you answer softly, closing the gap between the two of you and laying a light kiss on Jannik's lips.
author's note: as an athlete, those unshakeable feelings of imposter syndrome sneak up on you lol. even for the most laid back of us, me included. I remember this one time I got knocked out of high jump and really beat myself about it (I shouldn't have, I'd just run the 400m five minutes before and my legs were mush) but I cried for like three minutes and moved on to my next event. c'est la vie.

౨ৎ⋆˚。⋆ cooking with jannik (blurb)
warnings: none, it’s just fluff at his purest form
notes: after his loss today i needed to write something fluffy
“i get what you’re saying jan, but here it says only 200 gr of flour.” you explained to him pointing at the recipe book you bought him for his birthday since you knew how much he loved to cook, especially desserts.
“you don’t trust me, uh?” he said pretending to be sad at your words and pouting like a baby, avoiding eye contact with you. “yeah, i do! but i’d like to follow these instructions rather than your cook’s instinct, baby.” you replied caressing his cheek, comforting him while your lips curved in a sweet and soft smile.
“i’m from a family of cooks, babe. i know what i’m talking about, and believe me if i say that if we add 250 gr of flour instead of 200 nothing bad is gonna happen.” he has always had a particular way of saying things, so hypnotizing that you could never say no to him, especially when his eyes briefly fixed on yours and then moved away, returning to the bowl full of sugar and butter he held in his hands.
“fine.” you finally gave in, rolling your eyes to mask your weakness for him that showed when he acted like that. “but i swear to god, jannik, if it ends up being shit…” you warned him, pointing a finger to his face. he smiled and placed a small, sweet kiss on your temple, then took the flour and added it to the bowl while you looked at his movements carefully.
after mixing everything, your boyfriend took a small cake pan and poured the contents inside. his face was so focused that you could see little wrinkles on his forehead due to his effort, and to keep his focus he had his tongue between his lips, looking so cute to your eyes.
“done, it will be delicious.” he said as he finished filling the cake pan with batter, before proceeding to place a small kiss on your head and move away from the table to make room for you, as he knew how much you enjoyed decorating desserts and especially this cake, which you decided to make to celebrate him being the new world n.1, so you couldn’t mess it up. it had to be perfect.
while your hands worked the surface of the cake, covering it with sprinkles and chocolate chips, you suddenly felt a grip on your hips but, once you looked down, you realized that they were only jannik's arms that were now resting on your waist, holding you gently to his body that towered over yours. he nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent like he always did, making you giggle. “c’mon…” you whispered, still a hint of fun in your voice.
“what?” he asked, gripping on you tighter. you were on the verge of speaking while you suddenly felt his lips on your neck and you froze instantly, closing your eyes. “jan…” you warned him, but not for a particular reason. he murmured something against your skin, his hands trailing up to your chest. “i need to get this into the oven.”
you pulled away from him, leaving him surprised by your sudden gesture you smiled to yourself feeling his eyes on your body, as you bent down to put the cake in the oven. once it was closed you turned towards him, a warm smile on his lips, a little amused and always serene. taking off your apron you said “well, we’ll have to wait for a bit now.” you smiled proudly, unable to wait for the cake to be done.
when the timer went off, he whined in annoyance, hugging you tightly, wanting to feel your body against his once more. while waiting for the cake to be done, the two of you decided to spend that time cuddling on the couch, something you’d dreamed of doing for a really long time since lately he had never been home due to tournaments and practices. his body was resting on top of yours and his head laid gently on your chest, your fingers intertwined with his red locks.
“please, don’t go.” he said softly as soon as he noticed your were gonna get up to take the cake out of the oven.“jan, the cake is going to burn.” you explained patiently while caressing his head. “let it burn.” you laughed at his childishness, finding it cute. “c’mon.” you got up, waiting for him.
the cake was slightly burnt, but that was fine since it was your first time cooking together. it could have been gone worse than that. you placed it onto the counter as he followed every one of your steps, looking at it amazed by the decorations. “they’re amazing, baby.” he said in awe, as you kissed his lips to thank him.
“should we taste it?” he asked you. you nodded “yeah!” he cut two slices of the cake, positioning them on two little plates and gave you a small fork. as soon as you tasted it you immediately realized that the cake had a strange texture. it was very floury. “it's like eating pure flour.” you told him after swallowing it hard, making a disgusted face. “this sucks…” he agreed with you.
“i told you jannik…” you remembered him “always follow the book and never your instinct.” you tried your best to sound bossy but you just couldn’t get angry at him, especially when he was looking at you so sorry.
“i’m so sorry baby, i’m an idiot. how can i make it up to you?” he asked sincerely, wiping his plate clean onto the kitchen bin. “maybe there is something…” you thought about it, what harm could it do? “what is it?” he asked. “c’m here.” you threw your arms around his neck, kissing him passionately. he felt so good back onto your lips.

"They tell me I'm mentally strong. I'd say: not yet."
From the latest Sky Sport hour long interview with Jannik (Jannik oltre il tennis: Sinner un anno dopo)
- talks about how it always feels special to play Carlos, how he feels a different energy when playing him and how it feels different to see his name in the draw
- talks about how fortunate he feels to be a tennis player, and puts his job into perspective ("not like a doctor who can't make mistakes during an operation")
- talks about how it's probably not possible to be "happy" on court but how he strives to be cheerful/joyful
- analyses how competitiveness is something you have inside yourself and describes how it manifested itself when he was a child (he is 22, how in god's name is he so self aware?)
- gets asked about critics, e.g. people saying "he's never going to be as good as Alcaraz" and how he feels about it, says criticism is a positive thing because it shows he's at a level where people are interested in what he does, and it's usually something that will make him go "I'll show you" but that he also tries not to put too much stock in it because he knows best how hard he works ("and of course I'm a bit happier when people compliment me instead" *cute little grin*)
- when asked about it says the match point against Carlos at last year's US Open was very painful and it took a few nights to get over it and that during this year's US Open loss the cramps he had must have been a mental issue "a bit like what happened to Carlos with Nole at Roland Garros"
- playing in Italy is the most beautiful thing for him "because I feel at home"
- tennis is an individual sport but you have your team and when you practice, you practice WITH the other player, you have to in order for practice to work, so there is a certain team aspect there as well, it's only when you are on court for the match that you're truly alone
- "the best feeling for a tennis player is when you feel that it's a beautiful match and that you're part of a beautiful match"
- "respect is the most important thing in sport and I respect a player whether he's the No.1 or the No. 2000, because respect isn't based on ranking or strength"
- when asked about maturity levels and how grown up he feels he talks about leaving the dishes in the sink for three days, which is just about the sweetest most relatable thing he could have said (I don't have a dishwasher either, Jan and I still leave the dishes in the sink, don't beat yourself up about it)
There was lots and lots more in there, go watch it if you can! [And disclaimer that I don't speak a word of Italian and my Italian comprehension stems from hearing it a lot at work and speaking related languages, if I've made an egregious translation error please correct me!]
The interview is here (VPN set to Italy needed if outside of Italy)
And I also recommend watching the first interview done a year ago, also on YT (Jannik oltre il tennis: Sinner si racconta)

lewis hamilton, p3, is interviewed during the post-race press conference, hungary - july 21, 2024 (transcript under the cut)
Interviewer: "Lewis, coming to you. 200 podiums. What a score, what a trophy cabinet. Now, you've often said that you're not into statistics, but this surely means something?" Lewis: "The number doesn't, no. I mean, I just think about these two and how young these guys are. [laughs] They were in nappies when I started, so… [laughs] No, honestly, it just makes me think about the whole journey and all the great people I've had the chance to work with. I got signed by McLaren when I was thirteen, and so there was always so much love for that team and through the journey that we had where I had my first world championship, and then they went through a really difficult time. To see them back up there is really, really great. I'm really happy to… That's my old family, so really, really grateful to be up here with them. And then ultimately I think it was a tough race today, and I definitely didn't think I would be having 200 podiums, but… What have I done, like 340-something races, so not too bad a score. But I couldn't have done it without all those great people that I've worked with in both these teams." Interviewer: "Lewis, many congratulations. You've got to go to the stewards very shortly, so I'm gonna open this to the floor, and can we start with any questions to Lewis, please. Any questions for Lewis, before he heads to the stewards. Yup."
Journalist: "Sorry. Luke Smith from The Athletic. Lewis, could you talk through the touch with Max? He obviously made that move down the inside, you guys touched. He was on the radio saying about you were moving under braking. Could you talk through your side of it, please?" Lewis: "Yeah. [laughs] No, I think… I mean, from what I can remember, obviously we passed a backmarker, I got to the braking zone, then Max appeared, to overtake the car behind me, so I moved over to defend. I left enough room in the inside, but Max locked up and he was going a different trajectory to me. I was going towards, around the corner, and he came shooting across, so… It felt like a racing incident, and it's easy to make mistakes like that, and so I don't feel there should be any hostility. But, of course, from his side there always will be." Interviewer: "Alright. Any more for Lewis, please?" Norris: [unintelligible] Lewis: [laughs]
Journalist: "Hi. My name is Jannik Sauer. I work for a German news website called Watson. I was wondering, because you have this little fan laying next to you, especially after a hot race like today, there were some headlines in the past few days about the FIA planning to implement some sort of cooling for the cockpit and the drivers. So you are surprised, I see. Do you have any opinion on that?" Lewis: "Well, firstly, I didn't know that, and it's not needed. This is Formula 1. It's always been like this. It's tough in these conditions, and we're highly paid athletes, and you've got to train your ass off to make sure you can withstand the heat, ultimately. And it's tough-it's not easy, especially when you go to places like Qatar [laughs] and Singapore-but I don't think we need an AC unit in the car." Interviewer: "Thank you. Any more for Lewis? Yup, we can do one more."
Journalist: "Florian Niedermair, from Motorsport-magazin.com. About your race pace in general, did you expect before the race to be battling with Max, or was it a surprise for you, especially given the conditions?" Lewis: "No, I think out of pure pace, we weren't. Unfortunately we're still not, in hot conditions particularly… So you saw in Austria and here, we're not able to keep up with these guys. But in stint one I was really surprised to see that I was able to hold on to Max, and I wasn't even having to push too hard to stay around a second behind him, so I thought at that point that maybe I was in for a chance of at least fighting for that place. But then in the second stint it was a bit of a disaster. It didn't feel good [laughs] and the true pace of the car started to show, I think, on those tires. But we obviously got the undercut, and track position is clearly key on this track, and I think that really, ultimately made the difference." Interviewer: "Thank you, Lewis. Any more? Okay. Lewis, we'll let you go. Thank you very much."

My Wimbledon Champion (2)
Author’s note: this one is a little rushed so sorry for that😭
After that weird interaction with Carlos, he wouldn’t stop DMing you making sure you were still coming. Every single hour or so he would text you “Are you still coming?” or “You sure?” He couldn’t stop talking about it to you. You didn’t even know if you were friends at this point or just someone he decided to invite .
“Okay, you sure your coming?”
“YES CARLOS FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME, IM COMING”
“Okay good.”
“And what would happen if I didn’t come?”
He just left you on read. The nerves of this man. A little later you sent him a picture of you in your dress to see if there was a theme of some sort and if it was fine.
“Is this good?”
Carlitossalcaraz saved an image.
“Did u just save the picture😭?”
“Whatttt noo…”
“Carlos..”
“I didn’t save it I swear!!”
“Does that mean my dress was okay?”
“Yes please wear it.”
“Little demanding but okay!”
“Your still coming righ-“ the second you saw that text you turned off your phone, that stupid phrase was starting to get on your nerves.
The sun was starting to set, and it was almost time to go. Instead of waiting for the right time to leave, you leave a little early. You wanted to talk to Carlos before anyone else got there. Again, it wasn’t too far so you decided to just walk there. When you entered you saw Carlos and his family there.
You didn’t want to bother them or be awkward so you try to find you way to the bathroom. Only a couple steps in and someone scares you from behind.
“Hey you made it!”
“WHA- Oh it’s you”
“Yeah you made i-“
As you turned around he was FLABBERGASTED. He liked your outfit and you knew it. “Wow.” he mumbles.
“Like it?”
He nods his head while his eyes are wide, lips apart still staring into the dress.
“Its- uh really nice!”
“Now im having second thoughts..”
“No your bea- Its beautiful I promise!”
“Whatever you say”
He leads you to your seat and its right next to his. Out of all these chairs, it had to be next to his, but you weren’t complaining. After that conversation you had with him, you started feeling something but it was way to early to clarify what it was.
Once all the guests arrived, Carlos left you all alone. He made sure to greet everyone politely to not seem rude. He talked to everyone for what seemed like hours and you couldn’t wait for him to finish and finally come back to you.
Seeing him like this being all polite and kind to everyone, shined a different light on him. The old arrogant and self-centered Carlos thought was slowly fading away and turning into some a little more than that…
Finally when he was done talking to everyone, it came your turn to finally have a talk.
“How’s the party?”
“It’s good I’ve been waiting for you to stop talking to everyone.”
“Oh sorry.. I didn’t mean to make you wait” he frowned, you stared at his frown and noticed how cute he is, (even though you noticed that long ago) it was still really cool to be able to talk to him like this and not like he was a celebrity.
“Sooo.. I was wondering how we would keep contact once I go back to Spain” the frown on his face still present but it seemed to get bigger.
“Keep contact? Does this mean were friends?”
“Yeah of course? Weren’t we always?”
“Okay.. I guess I became friends with the world number 2 in just a couple hours.”
“Im just a normal guy pleaseee don’t address me like that.”
“And also I live in Spain as well. I just came here to support Jannik”
His face instantly got serious at the mention of Jannik’s name. Sure they’re great friends, but since YOU were supporting Jannik instead of him, there was a slight problem.
Because he was so blinded by his name that everything started to become a blur.
“Hello? You good?”
“Yeah im fine”
“As I was saying I live in Spain as well so we could meet up sometime!”
His face lit up, almost like someone just brought a lightbulb and stuffed it in his face.
“Really?!”
“Yeah I mean I said that a couple times but I don’t think you were listening”
“I’d be more than happy to!”
“Alright well, i have a flight in the morning so im gonna leave okay?”
“Nooo wait.. stay with me a little longer”
You couldn’t tell if he was drunk or something. First he wasn’t listening to anything you were saying and now he’s being all clingy? You listened to him anyways and stayed for 30 more minutes before leaving to go to your room.

jannik so surprised that they chose him for Best Hair.....he's on that part of curly hair journey where you style it properly but still think it's ugly. Ive been there done that I get it. And half of the comments saying that either sascha or Andrey should have won.....sorry but that shithead just has long hair not good hair. just because a man has long hair doesn't mean it's automatically great I'm tired of that propaganda it has to done well not just the bare minimum. Andrey yeah alright his hair is good but as a curly girl I'm loyal to jannik's curls anyway his pattern is lovely

So... Jannik's nickname for Carlos is Beast, huh? *grins*
Well, when I'm done with studying this afternoon, I think I know what I'm feeding Bob!
