Scandals
Authors note: So, let's talk the Sinner doping thing first. I think the story is legit, it was one billionth of a gram. But, I do think that if Jannik wasn't no. 1 and from Italy he would have been suspended until the investigation ended. Still found innocent, but he'd be benched for a few months at least. As for Carlos smashing rackets... Honestly it was hot. At least to me... I was shocked because he never does stuff like that but I think the Olympic final was still in his mind and he just lost it. Anyway, enjoy these crappy shot fics!
Summary: Two short stories in which our two talented young tennis players, who have recently been in 'scandals', need a little reassurance
Warnings: English isn't my first language, no use of Y/N, gender not specified, everything stated in the Autors note is my opinion and I do not ask everyone to agree!

Carlos Alcaraz x Reader
"Hey," you say as you enter Carlos' hotel room. "You okay?"
"Mmmmh, come here," he replies, looking you up and down. You walk over and hug him, smoothing out his messy hair. He wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you in close, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck and taking a deep breath. You hold him tight. "What was that about, hm?" you ask cautiously, referring to his anger at the court. He leans his forehead against yours, sighing.
"I just lose myself sometimes. I get too in my own head, too competitive, too hard on myself." He presses closer against you.
"You broke a racket; we were all so shocked..."
Carlos huffs, slightly embarrassed. "I know, I lost my temper... again. I should have done better, but I just couldn't keep it together."
"It's okay," you say, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, baby. Everyone has off days. You weren't feeling great, and Monfils just decided to play his best."
He exhales loudly. "I know, I know, but it's just so irritating. I wanted to win so badly, needed to win so badly... but I just kept screwing up and making stupid errors and—" He stops talking and rests his forehead against your shoulder.
"It's okay. Now you need to relax, get back into the headspace for the US Open. Okay?"
He wraps his arms around your neck, his body pressed tight against yours. "Will you help me? Help me relax?"
"What do you want me to do, baby?" you ask, looking gently into his eyes. Carlos' grip around you tightens, and a vulnerable look enters his eyes. He lets out a deep sigh as he lays his head on your chest. Your touch is soothing as his arms wrap around you, his eyes closing, melting into your embrace.
"You better, baby?"
He nods, nuzzling his face against you. "...Much better…" He pulls you tighter against him, almost like he doesn’t want to let go. Carlos stays there, listening to your heartbeat, feeling the steady rise and fall of your chest. He presses gentle kisses against your collarbone and shoulder, feeling a little clingy.
"Mmm, you wanna stay like this for a bit?"
He nods, slightly embarrassed by the clinginess but too tired to care. "...Just a little longer..."
Jannik Sinner x Reader
"Damn, they really booed you," you say as Jannik comes back from his first-round match. Jannik sighs in annoyance. He walks to his locker and grabs a towel. With a hint of irritation, he responds, "That’s nothing new."
He takes off his sweat-soaked shirt. "Yeah, but... they were really booing. It's because of the doping scandal—" He pulls out a clean shirt and starts getting dressed. "I don’t know why they still think I’m cheating..."
"...Well, you did get off better than most people would have..."
Jannik closes his locker a bit too hard. He runs a hand through his curly red hair and looks at you. "And what is that supposed to mean?"
"Well, if you weren't world number one, and you didn't have the fancy lawyers, and if it wasn't one billionth of a gram—"
He cuts you off, getting closer to you. The annoyance is evident in his voice. He looks you in the eyes, his tone low and serious. "You think I’m protected because I’m world number one and have money for fancy lawyers?"
"Do you think that if it was me, they would have let me play before I defended my case?"
He's silent for a moment, thinking about what you just said. His face slowly relaxes, and he looks away. "No, probably not…" he says, his voice calmer now.
"Look, I know you're innocent," you say, standing up and wrapping your arms around his bare shoulders. "But you need to know that you got the absolute best-case scenario that most people wouldn't get."
Jannik's face is now completely relaxed too. A few beads of sweat run down his bare chest. He puts his sweaty arms around your waist and looks into your eyes again. He doesn't argue with you anymore because he knows you are right. "I didn’t really see it like that before…"
"You're not a bad person, Jannik. You're just so fucking lucky it's annoying."

Hi, can you please write something about jannik being a jeleous boyfriend (not red flag😂)? Thank youuuu
Jealousy
summary: Jannikh as always been a jealous boyfriend in a good way
Pairing: Jannik Sinner x reader
warning: none, maybe bad english
A/N: i'm sorry if it took a long time to write it, i had few ideas and i didn't know which one was better. i really hope you enjoyed it
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
Jannik was the one person who would have done everything he could to make everyone around him feeling good and happy; he was the one person who would have done everything to make everyone smiles around him. He was always so kind and gentle, he was always open to help everyone who needed it and it was like that even with you. Everyone would have noticed the good person he was just seeing him on the tv, how respectful he was with his opponents and with the referee, even if they weren’t respectful as he was.
One thing, however, that no one else except you knew, was that he was a jealous person, really jealous.  Not in a bad way, he never tried to impose himself on you, he never told you what to do, what to wear or how to behave; he was respectful with you, and he let you choose for yourself, even if, sometimes, he did not agree.
Sometimes you just messed around with him on purpose, trying to make him jealous just for the fun of it; you loved seeing him jealous when someone else tried to flirt with you, you loved the way he just reached you as soon as he noticed, marking his territory, and making clear that you were his. You just loved that because you knew that he was jealous in a good way, in a cute way. He wasn’t like he didn’t trust you or anything like that, he just wanted to be sure that everyone else knew that you were his girlfriend, he wanted to make sure that everyone knew that they didn’t stand a chance with you, since you were taken.
When you argued, even for the smallest thing, you used to make him jealous on purpose, just to messed around with him, that day, was one of those occasions.
You argued just few hours before, when he refused to show you what he was actually hiding from you; you discovered that when you exited the bathroom after the shower and when you saw him hiding something in his pocket immediately. You tried to ask what it was, but he didn’t tell and that made you curious about it. What was he hiding from you? Why was he hiding something in the first place? You were together for four years after all and he never hided anything from you, like you did with him after all. You were always sincere to each other, and you just couldn’t understand for what reason he was starting to hide things from you now, after all those years together.
You tried to discovered what’s that all about, but he didn’t tell you, he just kept saying that it wasn’t nothing important and he ended the discussion like that, telling you to get ready. You sighed, but you had no time to argue with him any longer, that’s why you got ready, wearing your dress and fixing you hair and your make up.
There was this dinner with most of the Italian tennis player and you just couldn’t miss it, even if you lost all the desire to accompany your boyfriend after the discussion you had, especially since you were left with no explanations. When you arrived at the dinner, that was obviously formal, you were by Jannik’s side, and you stayed with him while he greeted everyone he knew. You kept biting your lips, smiling softly at people you didn’t know trying to see if someone you knew arrived.
Then, finally, you saw Lorenzo Musetti with his girlfriend, Veronica.
“I’ll be right back, Jan.” You said, leaving him alone with a man you didn’t know. He followed you with his eyes all the way towards Veronica and Lorenzo and he immediately sighed in relief, worried that you were still angry at him and that you weren’t feeling good about it. He was relieved to know that you went to talk to Veronica, since he perfectly knew that she was one of your closest friends.
He looked again at the person he was talking to, while you greeted Lorenzo and Veronica with a smile.
“Hi beautiful!” Veronica said, smiling and hugging you at once. You smiled back, hugging her and also Lorenzo with a warm smile.
“Hi, how are you, guys?” You smiled back, looking at them. “Parenthood suits you.”
“Thank you, Y/n.” Lorenzo smiled, taking his girlfriend’s hand, and caressing it gently.
“How’s Ludovico?” You asked, smiling even more when Veronica took out her phone and showed you some photos of their child, that was growing faster then expected. “God, he’s beautiful.”
“Thank you, y/n.” They both smiled back, then Lorenzo looked around, trying to find Jannik. “Where’s Jan?”
“He’s talking with someone back there.” You pointed him, watching as Lorenzo kissed his girlfriend’s cheeks before walking towards your boyfriend. You sighed when you met Jannik’s gaze, looking immediately away and catching Veronica’s attention.
“Are you guys okay?” She asked politely, looking at you and placing a hand on your arm when she noticed how sad and concerned you looked. “Hey, what happened, y/n?”
“We argued.” You whispered, shaking your head slightly. “It’s nothing bad but... I don’t know. It’s strange for us to argue about something this stupid. I saw him hiding something from me, but he didn’t want to tell me what that was and… I don’t know, Veronica. It’s not usual for us to hide something from each other.”
She listened to you, trying to reassure you as much as she could. She didn’t know what to say to you since she didn’t know Jannik as well as you, but she tried to make you feel better.
“Don’t worry, Y/n, I’m pretty sure that’s something stupid. If your worried, though, I can try to ask Lorenzo if he knows something.”
You nodded and gave her a small smile. “Thank you, I would really appreciate it.”
Veronica and you kept talking about everything for a few minutes, before Lorenzo called her; she smiled at you, apologising, then she walked towards his boyfriend to greet one of his friends; you stayed there, watching Jannik talking with another man you didn’t meet before, then you looked around and you recognized Matteo Berrettini few feet away. You looked back at your boyfriend, then you walked towards the brown man, still angry with Jannik to just pretend that nothing happened. You were still too upset to pretend that everything was okay, that’s why you reached Matteo, that was alone.
“Hi Matteo, what are you doing here all alone?” You asked, smiling when he offered you a glass of wine he took from one of the waiters that were walking around the room between the guests. You accepted it, thanking him and drinking it.
“Hi y/n.” He smiled, taking a sip of wine. “I’m drowning my sorrows in the wine, it’s not obvious?” He chuckled.
“Oh, well we can do that together if you want.” You whispered, looking at Jannik for just a moment. You met his gaze and you knew at once that he was starting to get jealous, seeing you but Matteo’s side and not his own.
“Problems in paradise?” Matteo asked, following your gaze and looking at Jannik too.
“Yeah…” you whispered. “And you? Why are you so sad?”
“Oh, I still have to elaborate the end of my relationships with… well my ex-girlfriend now.”
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.” You whispered, placing a hand on his shoulders and trying to reassure him as well as you could. “If you need someone to talk to, count on me.”
Matteo smiled immediately and lean out to place a kiss on your cheeks, in a friend way. You definitely knew that he was just trying to thank you, but Jannik didn’t appreciate it at all, especially when you placed your hands on his shoulder, trying to reassure him. When you saw Matteo with his eyes glossy, you leaned out and you hugged him.
“Do you want to go out for a minute?” You whispered, knowing that, probably, he didn’t want to cry in front of people he didn’t know very well, in front of people that weren’t his friends.
“Yeah, maybe it’s better.” He said, drinking the last sip of wine before following you outside, where he hided his face between his hands, trying not to cry.
When Jannik saw you hugging him that way and when he saw you two going out together, he just couldn’t repress his jealousy anymore; he apologized with the people he was talking to, then he followed you outside, trying to find you in the dark of the night.
You were by Matteo’s side when Jannik found you; he looked at you from afar, while you trying to reassure Matteo with some hugs and caresses. You kept caressing his back, consoling him while he cried silently; he was broken inside and he needed someone by his side, he needed a friend and you wanted to be helpful for him. You didn’t notice Jannik at first, but you couldn’t care less about it while Matteo was crying.
Jannik didn’t understood t first what was happening between you two: he definitely knew that you weren’t cheating on him or anything like that, but he couldn’t help but be jealous of Matteo, because you preferred to by his side instead of your boyfriend’s. He knew you were still upset about what happened between you two and he thought that you were just messing around with him on purpose, to make him feeling jealous. And, if that was the case, it was definitely working.
Jannik wrapped an arm around your shoulder, leaving a kiss on your head and catching both your and Matte’s attention.
“Are you okay, love?” He asked at first. Then, when he noticed Matteo’s state, he got worried at once. “What happened, man?”
Matteo dried his own tears, trying to stop crying. He looked up at Jannik and tried his best to smile at him.
“Don’t worry, Jan… it’s nothing important.” He said, noticing Jannik’s gaze and his arms around your shoulders; he wasn’t stupid, nor blind, he knew that Jannik must have been jealous of him and that’s why he just smiled at both you and Jannik. “Thank you for your help, y/n. I really appreciate it. I’ll leave you alone now. Thanks again.”
Before you could even stop him from getting inside, Matteo was gone and only you and Jannik left.
“You’re a dick, Jan.” you whispered, adding some distance between you two. “You don’t have the right to be jealous this time, especially since you’re hiding something from me.”
“Y/n, please…” Jannik tried to explain himself, but you were right. You didn’t know the reason why he lied to you, and you have all the rights to be angry at him after all he did. He didn’t want to tell it to you like that, but he had no choice, he didn’t like to see you like that.
He put his hand inside the pocket, looking around to be sure that no one was nearby. When you were still arguing about everything that happened, Jannik knelt in front of you, with a small red box in his hand. He waited till you noticed what was happening and, when you did, you were left speechless.
“W-What… Jan?”
“I wanted to tell you after this stupid dinner, but I can’t wait, and I can’t deal with you being angry at me. I know that I had no rights to be jealous, but I’m jealous because I love you with all my heart. I wasn’t trying to hide anything from you, I just wanted to prepare a surprise, I wanted to surprise you. I can’t live another day without you being by my side. I want you to be my wife, I want you to be the love of my life permanently. I love you with all my heart, y/n. Do you want to marry me? Do you want to be my wife?”
You looked at him, tears streaming down your cheeks.
You were too shocked to answer him, and it made Jannik more nervous after every second. He looked at you, fear in his eyes, then you practically jumped on him, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“Yes!” You exclaimed, smiling through tears. “Yes, I’d love to be your wife.”
He put the ring on your finger, smiling when he saw that he got the size right.
“Thank God I got the size right.” He smiled, placing a kiss on your lips. “Veronica helped me with that.”
“What? She didn’t say anything when I told her that we argued!” You replied.
“Well, I asked her not to… it would have ruined the surprise, don’t you think?”
You nodded slightly, kissing him again and caressing his hair gently. “You’re right, but don’t you dare to hide anything from me ever again. I thought you didn’t trust me anymore…”
Jannik smiled again, shaking his head. “Don’t worry, babe. I won’t hide anything again from you, okay?
“You better not.” You smiled looking down at the ring with glossy eyes. “I can’t believe I’m becoming Mrs. Sinner.”
Jannik smiled again. “I can’t believe I’ll be your husband. I’m the luckiest man in the world.”
“I love you, Jan.”
“I love you too, my future wife.”
“Oh, shut up.” You laughed when he called you like that, even if you loved hearing that.
“What? I’ve only started. Wait ‘till be come back inside, I’ll present you as my fiancé and I can’t wait to make sure that everyone knows it.”
You smiled again. “So, you’ll stop to be jealous? Because I actually love to mess around with you and your jealousy.”
“Oh, trust me I know it. And don’t worry, I won’t stop to be jealous of my woman, even if she’s my wife.”
“Good to know:” You smiled, kissing him again.

Toronto 2023 aka one of the most bizarre tournaments of the entire season
Even Daniil winning Rome has nothing on this chaos:
First, let us take a look at some of the seeds in this tournament. Casper Ruud is the third seed, having just flopped his way through the entirety of grass season and getting bageled in the final of a clay 250. Fourth and fifth seeds are Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune - we'll get to them later. The tenth seed is Félix Auger-Aliassime, who has only managed to hold onto his spot because most of his points are from the end of the season. For reasons inexplicable to me, Cameron Norrie is the eleventh seed. Borna Coric, holding on to his Cincinnati points, is the fourteenth seed.
In round one, lucky loser Vukic immediately upsets Coric 6-2 6-3. Qualifier Purcell takes out FAA 6-4 6-4. Milos Raonic, given a wildcard into his home tournament, beats tenth seed Frances Tiafoe in a tight match in which there was a ton of drama about what areas of the net it is acceptable to touch and win a point. Speaking of Canadian wildcards, Diallo beats Evans, who had just won Washington the week before. And finally, Alex de Minaur (we'll be seeing a lot of him) beats Norrie in a comfortable 7-5 6-4.
In round two, the top seeds come in and a lot of them immediately head out. Fifth seed Holger Rune, about to enter a massive flop era, loses to qualifier Giron in three sets. Tsitsipas gets crushed by Monfils 6-4 6-3. Vukic continues his run by beating Korda in an extremely close match. With the exact same scoreline as Tsitsipas, sixth seed Andrey Rublev loses to McDonald. Thirteenth seed Zverev is utterly destroyed by Davidovich Fokina 6-1 6-2.
Now into the third round, newly crowned Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz loses the first set to Hubi Hurkacz. And, in true Hurkacz fashion, the next two sets go to tiebreaks, both of which Carlos wins handily. Vukic's crazy run is finally ended by Monfils. And Davidovich Fokina continues to show no mercy to top seeds as he takes out Casper. Now, it seems like Alex de Minaur is down and out, seeing as he is down 1-5 against eighth seed Taylor Fritz. But then he wins a game. And then another. And then another. Yes, he somehow manages to win the set and ends up breadsticking Fritz to win the match.
So into the quarterfinals we go. Carlos Alcaraz's streak, starting all the way at Queen's Club, comes to an end as he loses to the inconsistent roller coaster of a player that is Tommy Paul. Davidovich Fokina just keeps winning and beats McDonald 6-4 6-2. And again, it seems like Alex is done for, down 2-5 against Daniil Medvedev. But what do you know: he wins a game. And another. And another. Alex de Minaur does it again and wins the match in straight sets.
In the semifinals, he keeps his momentum going and beats Davidovich Fokina 6-1 6-3. Amidst all this chaos, Alex de Minaur has pulled off numerous feats of excellence and is surely on his way to a title.
But there's one top seed left.
To say that Jannik Sinner cruised through this tournament is almost an understatement. He only lost one set, and he was gifted a walkover in the third round. Tommy Paul, who just beat Alcaraz? Jannik beats him handily, 6-4 6-4.
Alex's reward for his incredible run is a final against someone he is 0-4 against, an in the near future would be 0-7 against.
Before his miracle run ever sprang from that fateful bin, Jannik Sinner emerged from this insane tournament as the winner. And a few months later, it paled in comparison to everything he would do next.

"They tell me I'm mentally strong. I'd say: not yet."
Tumblr media
From the latest Sky Sport hour long interview with Jannik (Jannik oltre il tennis: Sinner un anno dopo)
- talks about how it always feels special to play Carlos, how he feels a different energy when playing him and how it feels different to see his name in the draw
- talks about how fortunate he feels to be a tennis player, and puts his job into perspective ("not like a doctor who can't make mistakes during an operation")
- talks about how it's probably not possible to be "happy" on court but how he strives to be cheerful/joyful
- analyses how competitiveness is something you have inside yourself and describes how it manifested itself when he was a child (he is 22, how in god's name is he so self aware?)
- gets asked about critics, e.g. people saying "he's never going to be as good as Alcaraz" and how he feels about it, says criticism is a positive thing because it shows he's at a level where people are interested in what he does, and it's usually something that will make him go "I'll show you" but that he also tries not to put too much stock in it because he knows best how hard he works ("and of course I'm a bit happier when people compliment me instead" *cute little grin*)
- when asked about it says the match point against Carlos at last year's US Open was very painful and it took a few nights to get over it and that during this year's US Open loss the cramps he had must have been a mental issue "a bit like what happened to Carlos with Nole at Roland Garros"
- playing in Italy is the most beautiful thing for him "because I feel at home"
- tennis is an individual sport but you have your team and when you practice, you practice WITH the other player, you have to in order for practice to work, so there is a certain team aspect there as well, it's only when you are on court for the match that you're truly alone
- "the best feeling for a tennis player is when you feel that it's a beautiful match and that you're part of a beautiful match"
- "respect is the most important thing in sport and I respect a player whether he's the No.1 or the No. 2000, because respect isn't based on ranking or strength"
- when asked about maturity levels and how grown up he feels he talks about leaving the dishes in the sink for three days, which is just about the sweetest most relatable thing he could have said (I don't have a dishwasher either, Jan and I still leave the dishes in the sink, don't beat yourself up about it)
There was lots and lots more in there, go watch it if you can! [And disclaimer that I don't speak a word of Italian and my Italian comprehension stems from hearing it a lot at work and speaking related languages, if I've made an egregious translation error please correct me!]
The interview is here (VPN set to Italy needed if outside of Italy)
And I also recommend watching the first interview done a year ago, also on YT (Jannik oltre il tennis: Sinner si racconta)

sooooo this is the translation for the icon interview with Pecco and a bit of Enea + (my little notes) (for @vr46ridersacademyofficial and whoever wants to read about pecco being a neurotic bestie and a "true rock" nerd)
Tumblr media
Genius and moderation: Francesco Bagnaia’s winning qualities. He’s the champion who says about himself that he’s shy (and that already sounds like an oxymoron); then you see him race, and you ask yourself if he hadn't been just joking…
To win a MotoGP world championship, the highest class of motorcycle racing, you need a lot of talent, to win two of them, and one after the other even, you need to be extraordinary.
The third centaur who was able to do something like that is Francesco Pecco Bagnia (don't pretend you don't know who I'm talking about!). The third after Valentino Rossi, his idol and mentor, and Marc Marquez, his next year teammate in Ducati. And, because the hunger comes while eating (lol that's prob just an Italian idiom and it means that when you start to eat you start to get more hungry too, so winning is making him more hungry for more victories), Pecco is trying to do the same this year with the new Desmosedici GP24.
Tumblr media
“Motivation is not something I’ll ever be lacking” says Pecco wearing the new glasses carrera Ducati (lol)
When I asked him to draw an imaginary identikit about himself to start our interview he replied: “I’m shy, very determined and an hard worker”. You can feel all of his Savoy (i guess coz he’s from the Savoy region but idk its more of a stereotype for people in the north of italy, being serious and quiet) essence - a mix of being a very private person, and also respectful and polite - that’s his own signature “ethics/moral code" and style. “It’s difficult for me to clash or argue with someone. If I’m angry or annoyed or nervous I keep that inside of me.” That's true in the paddock and outside.
Tumblr media
Who better than him is the opposite of the cliche “to be a pilot you must be crazy”?
“Being lucid is the most important thing in this type of sport. The instinct can make you go fast, and maybe there’s a bit of madness, but during the race, everything you do has to be calculated, and every decision is considered and thoroughly thought through. Nothing is left to chance. And seeing red on track/not being lucid is what makes you do mistakes.”
Most people would think you have to live a life full of sacrifices to become a champion, but Francesco lives that life differently. “Everything I’ve ever done, I’ve done it cause I wanted to, I’ve never missed out on anything, not really. I’ve chosen to go train on track instead of going out with my friends most of the time, but it’s because I truly believe you’ll always have time to do all the other things you want to do.”
Tumblr media
Respected by everyone in the paddock, Pecco is also praised by Enea Bastianini, his colleague and teammate, also born in 1997 but nearly 12 months after Francesco.
“He has the type of determination and awareness that when he decides to do something he’ll go and get it. On a more technical side, his braking is super effective with the types of tyres we’re using.”
Their relationship is really good and Pecco says “Enea is one of my many rivals. The only ally I have on track is myself: I motivate and help myself”- he displays a strong sense of duty and responsibility- “cause I’m also the most self-critical person in the world.”
And maybe it is this moderation (I guess she’s talking about the self-criticism bit) that becomes a strength for the natural-born rider Pecco.
Tumblr media
Francesco Bagnaia is cast in the same mold as another Italian sports prodigy ( shes trying to say the have similar vibes lol) Jannik Sinner, and not coincidentally Pecco is also a big fan of Jannik (he also carries Juventus in his heart, and he received a personalized jersey in December from the club).
“(Sinner) appears as a very “clean” person, it makes you want to support him. I’ve always loved tennis and thanks to him I’ve become an even bigger fan. I play tennis especially during the winter, I take classes three times a week”
Francesco always brings the same things to all of his races and most between the all: “Socks just under the calf, however it has nothing to do with superstition” and also music.
“I listen to music as soon as I wake up. I love old rock, the true rock. Favourite rock group? Led Zeppelin, of course, and I also really like Greta van Fleet.”
Tumblr media
Around the circuits, his sister Carola, assistant and media manager, follows him like a shadow.
“I would like Domizia with me at races more often, her presence is a necessity for me.” Pecco and Domiziaa are gonna be married in a handful of hours (July 20) after seven years of engagement: “Organizing the wedding was easy: there is no comparison with the World Championship. Maybe Domizia thinks differently about it.”
What does Francesco Bagnaia see in his future? “A successful career and a large family. And still riding a prototype bike: if not until I’m 37, the goal is at least 35.”

Contrary to what popular media would have you believe, having autism and/or ADHD is not actually super fun, it doesn't make a person all ~quirky, and it is absolutely not a super power. You know what is it? Fucking disabling is what.
Like, yes, I know I joke that the reason I've been able to write SO MUCH fic since August is because of the ADHD. And yes, it is. But then what needs to be taken into consideration is the cost. I'm hyperfixated on tennis, on Jannik, on the RPS side of things - all separte hyperfixations combining into one mush in my brain. When I start writing, I then hyperfocus on that at the expense of pretty much anything else. I've stopped all my other hobbies, I normally read c.10 books a month and I've read hardly anything in months. I haven't touched the new Stardew or Palia updates. I'm struggling to concentrate on schoolwork because my brain full of tennis. I've had to get an extension on my first assignment because of it. And like, it's never mattered before if I don't do the housework because I live on my own and no-one sees... except now there's another person and expectations and feeling like I'm letting her down.
But hey, I'm writing loads of fic!
It's all I can think about. Which is fine when I'm hanging out in the online bubble, when I'm on Tumblr, or chatting on Discord, or (and I can't believe this one because its very un-me) when I'm having conversations with the friends I think I'm making in fandom. Because we're talking about tennis or fandom or fic. That's fine.
But outside of fandom spaces? At home? Or in work? I don't feel like I know how to talk about anything other than tennis because it's all I can think about because it's all in my head and its getting super fucking frustrating to be quite honest.
And Li's a fandom person, obviously, and she's a slasher. But tennis isn't her fandom and she doesn't do RPS and I don't know how she isn't completely fed up of me right now tbh
I've always been relatively masked at work - don't get me wrong, I've never been 'normal' but I've always done a relatively good impression of 'person who works in an office'. I lost my mask during COVID and uhh the people I work with have had to deal with an unmasked hyperfixated Cassie who - on the second day of their new job - got up at 4am to watch Jannik in the USO. Like, logically, I recognise that this was not a sensible decision. However...
I understand the how and why of the hyperfixation. I lost my job, I got a new job, I left my flat, I moved 200 miles and moved in with Li. I lost my physical safe space. I'm still working on curating my physical safe space - it's getting there but I don't have one and there's still a big part of my brain that gets super upset and just wants to go home.
So my brain *created* a virtual safespace. And it's apparently called Jannik Sinner.
I also have what my therapist calls 'a low uncertainty threshold', and I'm really not good with things not going the way they're expected. So like I preplan any journey, if I eating out I've checked the menu before and know what I'm going to eat and it's a little world ending if they're out of whatever I've picked.
Lets take today's tennis for example. Carlos did... pretty terribly, lets be honest, and Clippy (he's trying to help but he gets it wrong... so Clippy. Yay anthropomorphosising my anxiety/depression/neurosparkly) did not know how to cope. He (and therefore me) kinda just stuttered to a stop, I had to run to the office loo to have a cry and then spent the best part of two hours doing soft-office-level stimming to process an unexpected. There was chair spinny and playing with my infinity cube and listening to some happy Cassie music. Two hours of brain struggle. Because *checks notes* a boy lost a tennis match.
Logically, recognise that this is kind of ridiculous and over reacting. However brain just could not process the unexpected event.
So yeah. Not a super power. Kinda disabling. Really fucking annoying.

Introduction
Hello, and welcome to this DOTD roleplay blog!  Have a read through all these rules for all the need-to-knows for this blog and me as a potential roleplay partner:
• Please be polite and respectful.  Of me the admin and of other people who interact with this blog ❤️
• Even if you interact with this blog frequently and actively, you are not obligated to follow it.  You are free to follow as you please.
• Roleplays can be done in the reblogs of asks or in pms.
• Roleplays can be started based on prompts from prompt lists or scenarios of your own.
• My favourite characters are Jannik, Tylibark, Creeper and Pika, so expect the most interactions from them, unless I feel like playing someone else or you specifically ask after a different character.
• I am open to roleplaying AUs and/or crossovers.  But if it's for a fandom I'm not in (do take a look at my main blog for reference) then please send me a long-ass explanation in pms for everything I need to know.  Or send/tag me in your character bios or whatever.
• Note:  if you want to handle the narration by revealing your character's/fandom's story as the roleplay progresses, that is what we shall do.
• Aside from that, I welcome OCs, whether they be from Minecraft, other fandoms, or are fandomless.
• There is no "time limit" for you to reply to roleplays.  You can take as many days/weeks as you want.  I will be waiting patiently and will always welcome you.  I, too, will take a long time sometimes.  I won't rush you, and I expect to be treated the same way.
• If you see me actively replying to someone else but not you, please ping me.  I will never purposefully ignore you.  I'm sorry if the note gets lost, or if I forget.  Whatever it is, know that I am not deliberately ghosting you.
• I'm not finicky about roleplay length.  If a one-worded piece of dialogue is enough to convey everything, then that's fantastic.  Of course, this won't be the case most of the time, so something needs describing, do that.  Don't make the roleplay bland.
• If you're someone who's vehement about your rp partner cutting roleplays, then this blog might not be for you; please understand that I am strictly a Tumblr mobile user and do not have that function.
• I do have anon on; I logged in through my browser and did it.  But otherwise, I am staying on the app.
• If...okay, if anybody does wish to roleplay smut, I am open to it, but it MUST be done in pms, and you MUST be 18 or older.  AND NO RAPE.
• I am aware that canon is very gory, but I am not comfortable with it. For a feel of grounds, gore like in Die a King, the Creeper vs Tylibark MGB and Override is an absolute no-no. The most I can take is when Finn got impaled and his head got separated from his body in Born for This, or Aaron's bone sticking out of his arm in War of Change. But if you are not comfortable with these kinds of gore, we will certainly abstain from it.
• I also cannot roleplay suicide, self-harm or abuse, because they are triggering for me.
• I'm okay with any romantic ship except Blocky/Olive because they are siblings
That's all!  I hope you interact with me.  Please enjoy your stay :)

♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦ - ♦
A soft smile is on your lips as you watch your boyfriend was engrossed in a long rally. Jannik was in the middle of an intense training session with Stefanos Tsitsipas, both very determined to win this point. You really love to visit and watch his trainings because during the tournament matches you are way too nervous to actually enjoy his tennis, all you can do is nervously knead your hands and sometimes you can't even look at the match properly. So, you really love watching his trainings.
After the boys were done with their training, they did a little handshake at the net and even took a selfie – which Jannik will probably forget to post – you slowly make your way down to the court to your boyfriend.
After you stepped on the court, you feel the summer sun on your skin, and it seemed even hotter on the clay court than in the stands. You squinted against the sun and almost collided with Stefanos, who was heading towards the exit with his bag shouldered.
"Hi Stefanos!" you greet the Greek, who nods at you and smirks: "Hey Y/N! Your boyfriend is really in a good shape right now, I'm already worried about meeting him in the quarter finals!" You couldn't hold back a laugh and waved goodbye to Stefanos, "All the best for your match tomorrow!"
Jannik was sitting on the bench next to the court, putting his rackets back in his bag. “Hello love!” as you pass the cooler, you grab a water bottle and hold it out to Jannik.
His skin was covered in a fine film of sweat, fine red sand stuck to his left forearm.
“Thank you, darling!” his face brightens, he smiles at you, and you immediately feel the butterflies in your stomach. Jannik was just perfect. And he was your perfect boyfriend. You don’t know what you’ve done to deserve him, but you are so thankful to have him. You have never felt so loved, so safe and so happy in your whole life as you did with Jannik. You couldn't help but put your hand to his cheek, his skin was hot under your fingers.
Jannik watched you with a smile, puts his hand over yours and strokes the back of your hand with his thumb to pull you closer with his other arm at the same time. He rises from the bench, wraps his arm around your waist, and he tilts his head to kiss you. Everything in you wanted to feel his lips on yours, yet you determinedly push a hand between you and brace it against his chest: "Wait wait wait! What do you think you're doing?"
Your boyfriend blinks at you in complete confusion: “What do you mean?” his smile became a little insecure.
You don’t answer his question instead you just raised an eyebrow at him but at the same time you wrap your arms around his neck, your fingertips playing with the ends of his hair peeking out from under his white cap.
Jannik looks at you suspiciously for a few moments, his pretty eyes sparkling and actually you want nothing more than to kiss him passionately, but when he finally made another effort to put his lips on yours, you turn your head away, shaking it: "You don't really think I'm going to let you do that, do you?!"
Jannik stares at you in disbelief, you could tell he had no idea what you were talking about. He swallowed hard and chewed on his lower lip while looking at you with question, "Y/N? Are you okay?"
You had never seen your boyfriend so confused and on the one hand you felt really sorry for him, but on the other hand you certainly wouldn't back down in this matter: “I’m definitely NOT kissing you while you’re wearing this!”
Jannik slowly released his embrace and took a step back to have a better look at you: “Wearing what?”, you could tell that he might get a little annoyed, he was tired, sweaty, maybe even a little hungry, and really, he wanted nothing more than to pull his girlfriend to him, breathe in the scent of her beautiful hair, and kiss her gently.
“You cap!”
“My cap!”
You give the white cap a disapproving look: “Yes, your stupid cap! I’m not kissing you while you are wearing this!”
Jannik immediately started laughing, obviously thinking that you’re joking. But when you don’t join in his laughter, he stops: “You can’t be serious!”
“I’m dead serious, Jannik!”
“Why?”
“Have you ever looked in the mirror?”
Jannik's facial expression made it pretty clear that he had no idea what you were talking about. You take a deep breath, unable to suppress a small smile: “Jannik, my love, what did I tell you: what is the sexiest thing I find about you - besides your smile?”
Jannik frowned and tilted his head: “I don’t know, Y/N? My…my hair?”
You beam at him, nodding in excitement: “Exactly! And, when you wear that cap, can I admire your amazing hair?”
“No?”, he raised an eyebrow and looks down at you, “So, if I take it off, you will kiss me?”
“If you take off this cap, I’ll do even more than just kissing you…” you hadn't even finished speaking when Jannik's white cap sailed onto the red sand, and he presses his lips to yours.

TO München - issues I take with "Wir kriegen euch alle"
I just came to realize that the first half of "Videobeweis" is too cringey for me to go into it again (I swear it has some good moments, they just show up very late...), so instead I'll go into the Tatort München episode "Wir kriegen euch alle" again. Which isn't cringey per se, it's just kinda bad and makes me feel queasy. I'll try to talk about it soberly, but this is still all personal opinion. Mind spoilers as you go.
They open up a heavy, dark subject and then never manage to see it through to its conclusion.
The focus on victims and perpetrators is incredibly skewed.
Might be the hands-off approach Tatort has to continuity, but they fail to reflect on the inspector's stance on the case and how it's not fully congruent with what we have known of his character before - that would have been an awesome opportunity to make this actual character development.
But first things first, let me be incredibly petty: Why on earth would anyone cast Jannik Schümann, only to stuff him into the ugliest, most tasteless clothes on earth, the least flattering glasses they could find and whatever the fuck they did to his hair? He's already playing an unlikable, whiny, immature, self-absorbed psychopath - couldn't he at least have been a pretty psychopath?
And a brief rant at presentation: Why do they need such a long-winded way to get to the plot? And why does this Tatort, once it gets to the plot, start out almost 1:1 like a Supernatural episode from 2006? And the freaking dolls? What kid would keep a glowy-eyed, talking Uncanny Valley doll around as their personal confidante? These dolls are creepy. Same goes for the plastic Santa Claus mask; in what child would that induce trust? Are they trying to sell me on horror? Is that why the protagonists are so unlikable? Take that out of my mediocre German grandma copaganda. You're supposed to comfortably intrigue me, not make me feel viscerally icky with a visual. Also, if your corpses can't hold still, try freeze images, geez.
Now with that out of the way, let's talk about sexual abuse of children and the wish for revenge. You have been warned.
I think it's not exactly a hot take that many people wish death upon child rapists. If the newspapers headline would read, "parent who sexually abused their child for years got brutally murdered", I can imagine there'd be cheers before one gets around to thinking, wait a minute, we have a legal system - people can't just go around and kill people. "But those aren't people, those are animals" my ass; if any of us has the right to determine someone is not a person and law doesn't apply to them because of a criterion we deem appropriate, what will keep anyone to determine someone is not a person because of any criterion whatsoever? That is incredibly dangerous, and that's why even the most vile and disgusting of people are still people and in the hand of the law, not of other citizens.
The episode adds the complication of "but what if the state can't persecute; what if they lack the evidence to set any legal means in motion?" That's why our vigilantes here are working with a surveillance system to secure evidence before they act - and their actions are rightfully called premeditated murder by the police and investigated. Until that's not the focus anymore because our vigilante got misled and more or less accidentally killed a family who "didn't deserve this", namely, who had not abused either of their children even though the aforementioned psychopath claimed otherwise. That's where the entire episode breaks down. Protecting a child from ongoing abuse, punishing a really evil person, intervening where the police legally can't - that's an incredibly strong motivation to kill someone, and it was the police's task to stop him because despite this motivation, he's still in the wrong to kill. But then they put the focus on that last case that is based entirely on petty, selfish motivations and where the killer himself regrets what he has done - in this case, not because he acknowledges the law. That's the most important one, when his internal logic doesn't apply? Fucking cowards. Sure, Ivo talks a bit to one of the guys from the victim support group about the vigilantism, but even that dude's breaking point is that he doesn't believe our psychopath and builds the injustice of that case on the deception and betrayal. That's not only weak because it shirks giving the strong NO these actions would have deserved, it also re-victimizes our poor little murderer because woe is him, he got lied to and so killed the wrong people.
The message that killing anyone is wrong never gets through to him. This episode doesn't have the balls for that; we rather want to keep up sympathies for the vengeful killer because his purpose is a sympathetic one.
Then, focus. It isn't my primary complaint, but how are the two main cases at hand abuse in fucking rich families with huge houses and personal slaves au-pairs and stuff? What, do middle-class and poor families not abuse their children? They do - but the boy in the rented flat whose father rapes him is merely a footnote in this spectacle; I don't think we ever even learn his name. Who they present to us are the two poor little rich girls, Lena and Gretchen, respectively, in their huge houses with their huge rooms and their expat nannies who work 13 hours a day. I'm not saying these children shouldn't be protected from abuse; I'm just saying it feels skewy to put the focus on these two only. That resonates really poorly with the obvious class conceit of Gretchen's family, who after all their classist bullshit and racism get promptly victimized via their psychopath son and his equally psychopath girlfriend. Speaking of racism, the two Chinese au-pairs are a passive, soft-spoken doormat (so doormat-ty in fact that she didn't call the authorities when she suspected abuse in that house) and a cold-blooded psychopathic killer (who's so dumb that she doesn't seem to know the child she's taking care of at all, with how idiotic her approach to killing Gretchen is). That doesn't look like bad stereotypes or anything. Shove it, BR.
Overall, Gretchen's entire family is bullshit. I don't feel for anyone there. The son is a psychopath, but the father is an asshole and I can't say I was overflowing with sympathy when he and his practically non-present wife died (did she even get a speaking line?). The au-pair is also a psychopath, a bully and, as mentioned, not the brightest bulb, but that kid she's taking care of? Gretchen is a brat. She's what, eight years old? And thinks she can do however she pleases, and that she can boss her au-pair around and talk down to her, which is obviously something she picked up from her parents. And no, of course she shouldn't suffer or die because of that, but even when she kills the au-pair kind of accidentally and in self-defense, she still manages to be bratty about it. I would have walked out on her after a week. No, the victims of a crime don't need to be likable, but it would have been good for the episode to not center on a family that makes me space out or check my mail whenever a scene with them begins because they are so goddamn annoying. That's just a bunch of unpleasant people being unpleasant to each other.
Still talking focus, but now the one on the vigilante. They work with the victim perspective, but mostly, they work with the perspective of that one victim who has already become a brutal criminal himself, and for all his savior complex, we never see the consequences of his actions for the survivors. Lena and Gretchen never grasp within the episode that their parents are dead and they're alone in the world now. Let's look at Lena because she was actually abused - but does killing her parents make her life better? I'd say it victimizes her again. Now she's an orphan and God knows where she'll grow up and how she will handle emotionally that her parents got murdered, on top of the abuse that she also has to cope with. And yet, our vigilante is throughout presented in a sympathetic light. A man who's killed a bunch of people and did their children not nearly as much of a favor as he likes to tell himself - but we only get to see him as well-meaning, as a protector, as someone who's been through something horrible and wants to stop that from happening to others. As mentioned previously, the episode fails to condemn him.
In short, if it weren't for the Kommissare, I wouldn't have anyone to empathize with. They don't put in an effort to make me empathize with the victims, unjustified as their death may be (by internal logic because who even cares about the law), and I don't want to empathize with a vigilante killer, although the episode fucking tries to get me there. Nope.
Last part, Kommissare. I'll quickly talk about Franz; Ivo has a more in-depth part. Franz is kept simpler around here (and confuses me when he mistakes something for a biblical numeration and asks about psalms like, "is anyone a Catholic?" - dude, you were a freaking altar boy; don't act stupid or I'll have to bitchslap a screenwriter). He does get to punch the father raping his little son, which is a moment of cheer, no doubt. It still makes the focal point the perpretrator deserving of punishment and Franz' righteous anger - not the boy who's in pain and crying in his room. And I get that they can't involve child actors too deeply in this subject without damage; I just don't like that they hardly even talk about the children in question.
Ivo. Good Lord, Ivo and his new bit of background story. And yeah, I guess you could argue that he made that bit up to get the victim support group to accept him as one of theirs, but it doesn't feel that way - when he discloses what happened to him, that's one of the very few scenes that feel genuine and tear on me the way they're meant to. So we get a Tatort-Kommissar who has been sexually abused as a teenager; I think he's the first male inspector Tatort puts in correlation to a sex crime. Lena O and the Dresden girls were threatened with rape on separate occasions, but the assholes in question didn't get a chance to go through with it. Overall, Tatort usually doesn't go for male rape victims - because German TV has weird heteronormative hang-ups, men are perpretators in sex crimes, not victims. In this episode, they very deliberately shift that with the all-male support group. And then it's Ivo. This is a first, and it's really heavy. He gets put on the same level as the other guys in the group, on the same level as our vigilante. He's given understanding of what happened to them, a good reason to understand the hate, the anger, the wish to do something.
And he does what he should do as a member of the police and what the episode doesn't support to the degree it should - he condemns the vigilante killer. That is also a big one because it's actually not characteristic of Ivo if we look at older episodes. He is prone to vigilantism; hell, he has done a few really nasty things before. 2010, "Nie wieder frei sein" - he beats up a rapist and would-be killer of a young woman when he finds he cannot arrest him because he lacks the evidence. Or let's take it a thematical step closer, and chronologically a big one back - 1995, "Frau Bu lacht"; there's a woman who has killed her husband because he was sexually abusing her child. And it was a premeditated murder, too. Only she never gets put before a court of law because Franz and Ivo help her flee the country with her daughter. That is what Ivo has done in an extremely similar case. "Wir kriegen euch alle" is on in 2018, and Ivo does his freaking best to arrest a vigilante out for child rapists. That is a huge thing for him, especially with his very personal empathy, and the episode completely fails to adress this. Even though it gives me a shitton of respect for Ivo for managing what vigilante guy didn't, namely see beyond his anger and his "fuck law, I'll do it myself" views and acknowledge that skipping the legal way and killing the assholes is not the way to go.
Okay, that's all I got. Now excuse me as I curl up in a ball and cry for a bit in overall hatred. Thanks for coming to my brat talk.

hey! i saw your Sascha post
i am (used to actually) be a fan of his. let’s admit it, he’s a very good player. and then like a week ago i found out what he did, and i was so disappointed. he’s not my favorite anymore, obviously, i don’t have a favorite and i don’t know who to cheer for right now so he’s the closest for me to “cheer” for, even though i don’t like it, so i’m not a huge fan but i prefer him winning more than some other tennis players. (i really need to find someone i like, urgently)
so my point is. either people have absolutely no idea what he did, or they don’t care, which i find weird and disgusting. some people support him *only* as a player, but hate him as a person, which i tried to but i couldn’t do that, i still felt disgusted and a bit guilty.
so there it is! i hope people wake up, and i really, really hope people start talking about these issues. especially professional tennis players and the entire tennis world.
Hi anon!
Tbh I didn't expect a response to that post because it was written out of pure anger and some of it is not worded well at all. It's hard to flip from 'I really want this guy to win' to 'he's done terrible shit and I hate him' so I understand. I hope you manage to find a new favourite soon and are able to completely drop him.
I know you didn't ask for favourite suggestions but I'm gonna take any opportunity to hype up my boi Pablo Carreno Busta lmao (it's a wild ride but it's fun!) and if you want to support someone young and upcoming then Jannik Sinner or Hubert Hurkacz are good to go for. I mean with the US Open coming up just pick a random match and watch it and see if you like the players.
But yeah I've had your side reply to me which is 'I am disgusted but am finding it hard to find a new favourite player' , I've seen people able to drop him completely (a bunch of fanpages on instagram have done so but some haven't which is disappointing) and I've had someone reply to me with 'I don't believe her, her story doesn't make sense' which is just...A Lot and they got blocked. There's a mixture of responses but I feel nothing but anger if you know what he did and willingly support him/believe she is lying. I understand that you now know and are trying to stop supporting him so I hope that goes well!
I hope you're day goes well anon and I hope you find a new fave soon so you can start properly enjoying tennis again! (if you want more suggestions I am happy to hype players up to you lmao)

WELCOME DRACO MALFOY ( benjamin jarvis fc ) — PLAYED BY HALEY!
ADMIN COMMENTS: so we had four draco applicants, and my god, this was a difficult decision. we even called in a few more existing members of the group to read all these applications and give their opinions on it, and i think we all managed to agree on YOU, haley! we genuinely loved your writing so much, we think you managed to get draco's characterization so well done — for him to go down this path after the war, the bitterness he feels, the ANGER. it was a long journey to draco, but we are glad we went through it because it led us to you. thank you, and we can't wait to see more of him!z

JOHN KELLER HAS ADDED MADSEN ‘MADS’ KILDUFF AS A FRIEND! The TWENTY-SIX year old will be playing the role of the DR. JERK in his very own horror movie. Right now, HE is a THERAPIST at MORNING STAR PRIVATE COUNSELLING but HE might not be for much longer — you might see HIM on the town’s next tape. ( jannik schumann, he/him– played by nomi, twenty-two, she/her, est )
back at it again with my second character! This is Mads, your local asshole therapist, but that’s Dr. Kilduff to you.
Madsen is Mimi’s twin brother so from birth up to the age of eight they share the same story, except Madsen was sent off to live with their mother instead of their father which he honestly regrets every day.
He was also kind of inspired by the netflix show Sex Education so if you get those vibes you’re right.
It’s not that Madsen’s mother was horrible, or neglectful in any way. Quite the opposite actually, Claudia Kilduff cared way too much. For most of Madsen’s young life he can remember his mother being loving in her own way but also invasive and overbearing. That coupled with the fact that his mother was also a sex therapist who wrote a best selling novel, meant that Madsen didn’t exactly have the worlds most normal childhood.
But he could label each part of the vagina by the age of ten though, and not many people can say that.
Through his childhood Madsen’s mother was always psychoanalyzing him. And although it was a frustrating invasion of privacy, Madsen did ultimately trust his mother and open up to her more than that average son would. Their relationship was a bit odd maybe but very, very open. They were very close pretty much all of Madsen’s young life, to the point where Madsen didn’t even second guess legally changing his surname to hers rather than a father he barely knew.
The all changed the day that Madsen’s mother wrote her second novel, a very thorough book about raising a sexually deviant teenage son which Madsen was the star of without Madsen’s knowledge or consent. Madsen found out about the book before it was published, and fought tooth and nail with his mother not to publish it but since so many publishers were already fighting to get it on the shelves and Madsen’s mother thought that this novel would be helpful to other mothers she published it anyways. Without Madsen’s consent.
That was a pivotal point in Madsen’s life where all his trust in the person he trusted most in the world was broken (very private things that he told his mother in confidence were in that book) and so Mads went from adoring his mother to despising her very quickly. However after Madsen tried displaying that hatred and acting out, he quickly realized he was achieving nothing, so he readjusted.
He used the fame that he gained from his mother’s novel to achieve his own success, even going as far as to go into business with his mother to do so. They became a famous mother son counselling duo, like they wrote a book together, they went on Ellen, it was wild. By the time that Madsen was in the middle of college he made a name from himself worldwide, at least among people who cared about this kind of thing.
But Madsen had also made a name for himself as ‘the guy who effed a peach because he read it in a book once’ and ‘the guy who couldn’t touch himself until he was seventeen’ so Madsen wasn’t exactly grateful to his mother yk.
Once Madsen had finally gotten his therapy certification officially and made a name for himself that he was satisfied with he decided that his time with his mother was over. Not only did he rather abruptly leave their business together to make one of his own (taking more than a few of their clients with him) he also sabotaged his mother in the process, revealing some choice information that threw her into a scandal as a parting gift.
But yeah that’s what Madsen has been doing the past couple years, working on private sessions with his clients and expanding his practice. He’s also been working on his first novel without his mother, and been traveling the world to do it, which is what leads him to Jericho. He just got here honestly, and what brought him here was the murder of Ariella. At the moment he is particularly interested in how the brutal murder of one of their own can affect the psyche of people within a small close knit community, especially when that murder has been witnessed by members of the community online? It’s GOLD. Madsen is having the time of his life. He’s counselling people for free and even paying some of them just so he can get some of his regular counselling done but more importantly so he can get info on Ariella.
PERSONALITY ;
personality wise Madsen is,,, a dick. But a dick in sheeps’ clothing. Madsen is absolutely kind of heartless, but I almost put faux affably evil for his trope because he does a very good job of hiding how rotten he is inside. He is the type to smile politely to your face even as he internally laments how much he hates your guts and that’s just how it is. He’s a fake ass bitch.
But he’s a fake ass bitch who is very good at his job despite being a jerk about it, hence the Dr. Jerk trope. He always leaves his clients better off than they were before they met him, even if he doesn’t really care about them at all.
Madsen is also a big control freak and neat freak honestly. His office is pristine, he never has a wrinkle in his clothes, he’s always on time. He’s not a very flexible person at all.
CLIFFNOTES ;  (aka what i’ve been sending around on discord)
mimi’s twin brother
basically kind of inspired by sex education like the show idk if you’ve watched it but it’s a wild time
his mother was a sex therapist who was really just too invasive and overbearing, and Madsen kind of grew up under a microscope
his mother literally wrote a best selling book on raising him and his sex habits like?? it’s basically about the sexual habits of teenage boys and how to confront that and it’s all about madsen and she published it without his consent
Madsen was of course pissed but there was really nothing he could do about the whole situation so he decided to take control of the situation and just kind of spin it to his advantage? Because of that he went into business with his mother for a while and they became like a therapy duo
they were in business together for a while and when Madsen got as much popularity as he could from the arrangement he left and went into business on his own
So that’s what he’s been doing for the past few years just going around the country riding the wave of his ‘fame’ (not really but you know) and visiting different towns to like counsel people and get some info for his book
personality wise he’s a bit of a dick? like he’s kind of heartless i almost put faux affably evil for his personality type like that’s the kind of guy he is aksbjssj BUT he’s also the type to be very good at his job but also a jerk about it, like his clients are always left better off than they were before they met him but he’s also like a bit of a dick behind his mask

Oops!
I had promised myself to update my website regularly and now it seems a year has gone by since last time…I even have a monthly reminder on my phone, but somehow other things got in the way. My Instagram is probably still the best way to stay on top of what I do, but here follows a quick recap of some of the things I got up to last year.
The absolute highlight has got to be the two days I spent at Abbey Road Studios singing and playing in the house band for YLE Fem’s En dag i våra liv TV show. You can watch this excellent program featuring authors Kjell Westö and Kaj Korkea-aho here. At the same time, I also got to spend some time recording with Icons of Elegance in those legendary surroundings, which was, needless to say, absolutely great. The Lady Madonna piano ended up on a few things.
On the release front, I mixed Molly & Monroe, Catherine Kontz’s excellent and thought-provoking musical theatre piece about two dancers in pre-war Berlin. The album popped up on a few end of year lists, which is always fun to see. I also had the pleasure of helping out with Catherine’s 12 Hours with Rosie Middleton, which had its first outing courtesy of Cultural King’s at Somerset House in February. I look forward to that getting its full premier soon.
In fact, sound design for experimental opera seems to have become a thing this Spring as I’ve also produced the album release of Alastair White’s ROBE fashion opera, forthcoming on Metier Records, and I also worked on some virtual gallery tours that I can’t reveal what they are just yet.
On the poppier side of things, I produced a double A-sided single for Uncle Luc covering Bros and Bananarama, a fun mix of atmospheric 80s sounds and indie/americana, and I also produced his cover of Same Mistakes for Super Fan 99’s excellent Jon Brion compilation. All three tunes are worth a listen and if you don’t know his original stuff, check it out in the posts below here.
Corona has hit the industry hard, but so far I’ve been lucky to keep myself busy with various studio based projects. Who knows what will happen further down the line, but one of the positives has been the many Zoom and email collaborations that have started as a consequence. There’s something very special in the pipeline with Petter Näse in Stockholm, but first out is this summer anthem we wrote about the current situation with Jannike, Niklas Rosström and Janne Hyöty.
Last, but not least, we put out some new music with Icons of Elegance - our first release in 5 years! It’s been incredibly fun to work on this again after a long slightly quieter period. We’ve had some help from Mikko Gordon on the production side of things and it feels like it’s the best thing we’ve done so far. If it didn’t, what would the point be, right? More singles dropping throughout the year, so stay tuned!

Garth Crooks’ team of the week: Van Dijk, De Bruyne, Grealish, Eriksen, Vardy
Arsenal and Spurs played out a thrilling 2-2 draw to finish off an exciting weekend of football.
Liverpool kept up their 100% start with a 3-0 win at Burnley, while title rivals Manchester City thrashed Brighton 4-0.
Chelsea were held 2-2 by Sheffield United, with Manchester United drawing 1-1 at Southampton.
Leicester impressed again with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth,West Ham beat Norwich 2-0, Crystal Palace saw off Aston Villa 1-0 and Newcastle drew 1-1 with Watford. In Sunday’s other game Everton beat Wolves in a 3-2 thriller.
Here’s my team of the week – have a read and select your own below.
Garth Crooks’ team of the week
Goalkeeper – Adrian (Liverpool)
I think it’s perfectly acceptable for a goalkeeper to rely on his defensive unit just as much as his defenders can rely on him. The relationship between the Liverpool back four and stand-in keeper Adrian has had its good and bad moments.
Adrian’s performance against Burnley however was about as good as it gets. The Spanish keeper made a superb save from Chris Wood at a critical time in the first half while his defensive unit made sure Adrian was not required to come to their rescue thereafter. For the first time since Adrian took over from the injured Alisson Liverpool looked comfortable with their goalkeeper. The future is beginning to look Red.
Did you know? Adrian has a 73% save percentage in the Premier League this season. Of goalkeepers with three or more starts in 2019-20, only three have a better percentage (Vicente Guaita 80%, Ederson 77% and Hugo Lloris 76%).
Defenders – Fabian Schar (Newcastle), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Jannik Vestergaard (Southampton)
Fabian Schar: This was a very different test to the one facing Newcastle last week against Spurs. I posed the question ‘could the Magpies attack with the same conviction as they defended at White Hart Lane?’ Well the performance wasn’t quite as convincing but good enough to contain a Watford side desperate for points.
Schar played a major part in this controlled professional performance by Newcastle. They didn’t panic when they went 1-0 down and he took his goal with great composure. Not bad for a centre-back.
Did you know? Since the start of 2019, Schar has scored five Premier League goals, more than any other current Newcastle player. Four of these have come at St James’ Park.
Virgil van Dijk: It was only a matter of time before Virgil van Dijk resumed his place in my team of the week. This week the Dutchman has been indulging himself at award ceremonies with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. I suppose if you are going to be amongst the best players in the world these events must be attended.
However it was nice to see him exchange his tuxedo for the familiar away colours of Liverpool Football Club against Burnley and a stellar performance. For Van Dijk this game was a stroll in the park. Good to have you back in my team of the week Virgil.
Did you know? Liverpool have won 73% of their Premier League games when Virgil van Dijk has featured, with the Reds suffering just four defeats in these 56 games (W41 D11 L4).
Jannik Vestergaard: When Jannik Vestergaard out-jumped Victor Lindelof to nod home a brilliant headed equaliser against Manchester United my immediate thought was he wouldn’t have done that to Chris Smalling.
The former United centre-back, on loan at Roma, finds himself surplus to requirements along with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, only for United’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to then have the nerve to say his squad is looking a bit thin. The Red Devils are looking anything other than devilish at the moment, in fact they looked insipid and unconvincing against a 10-man Southampton side who should have been put away.
Did you know? Vestergaard scored his first Premier League goal for Southampton in his 27th league appearance for the club, becoming the third Danish player to score for the Saints in the Premier League, along with Ronnie Ekelund and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Midfielders – Kevin de Bruyne (Man City), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), Christian Eriksen (Spurs)
Kevin de Bruyne: He scored the first goal and set up the second in a first-half performance that just oozed with class. The Belgium international has now contributed five assists in four games and at this rate could find himself in the late teens and even reaching 20 in an injury-free season. This would spell disaster for Liverpool of course. Just a thought!
Did you know? De Bruyne has been involved in nine goals in his last seven Premier League starts (two goals, seven assists).
Jack Grealish: I don’t normally select players on the losing side but on this occasion I must make an exception. Jack Grealish not only gave a captain’s performance against Crystal Palace but was robbed of the part he played in providing Villa with what would have been an impressive and justified equaliser.
Kevin Friend’s shocking decision to disallow Henri Lansbury’s 96th-minute goal after Grealish’s brilliant run ranks amongst the worst decisions I’ve seen in years. What Friend didn’t see (and I did) was Grealish get bumped by Wilfried Zaha as he entered the box which propelled Grealish to the ground. You actually see Zaha (hand raised) appeal to the referee to say no penalty. This was truly an outrageous decision.
Did you know? Grealish has created the most chances of any Aston Villa player in the Premier League this season (eight), with all but one of those coming from open play.
Roberto Firmino: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when Roberto Firmino is on song so are Liverpool. The Brazilian orchestrated a masterclass by the Merseysiders against a Burnley side who, but for one brief occasion, never looked in the match.
Perhaps Firmino can heal the obvious rift between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane because it would appear manager Jurgen Klopp is having difficulty. For Mane to explode so publicly, as he did at being substituted after Salah had so clearly ignored him on two occasions to score, was completely justified. Salah can’t play this game on his own – a point Firmino clearly understands.
Did you know? Firmino became the first Brazilian to score 50 Premier League goals. He is the ninth player to reach the milestone for Liverpool – no other club has had more (level with Man Utd).
Christian Eriksen: When I saw Eriksen start this north London derby I immediately thought Spurs can’t lose this game. I was right, they didn’t lose the game but they should have won it. Eriksen is a class act and when he is on his game there are few better.
It was the Dane who bust a gut to get up with the play and tap home the loose rebound from the Erik Lamela shot. Spurs look like they might hang on to Eriksen for a little while longer which is just as well because they have no-one who can handle the ball better. As for Arsenal it’s a good job they have Matteo Guendouzi. He’s a Granit Xhaka with brains.
Did you know? Eriksen has now scored 50 Premier League goals – the first Danish player to reach this landmark. He is the first player to register both 50+ goals and assists for Spurs in the competition.
Forwards – Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Sergio Aguero (Man City), Jamie Vardy (Leicester)
Jordan Ayew: This game wasn’t a classic by any means but it did produce taking points. Jordan Ayew was very unlucky not to make my team of the week after his performance against Manchester United. However there is no doubt about his selection this week after forcing his way past Tyrone Mings to score in the dying moments of this fixture with Aston Villa and provide the Eagles with all three points for the second consecutive week. Mings, on the other hand, might have been included in the recent England squad but that doesn’t make him an England player.
Did you know? Ayew has scored in back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since December 2015, when he was an Aston Villa player.
Sergio Aguero: The Artful Dodger was at it again. Sergio Aguero was on the prowl against a Brighton side who had the audacity to go toe to toe with Manchester City. Aguero’s two superbly taken goals were not so much as picking pockets but more like taking candy from a baby.
I can’t work out if this was sheer hubris by Graham Potter to think he could beat Manchester City at their own game or continue with his theme of his team playing attractive football regardless of the consequences. I must say Brighton are playing attractive football, I will give him that.
Did you know? Aguero has scored 99 Premier League goals at the Etihad – only Thierry Henry at Highbury (114) and Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford (101) have scored more at a single venue in Premier League history.
Jamie Vardy: Quite apart from his goalscoring exploits under Brendan Rogers there is no doubt about it, Jamie Vardy is back to his best. His first goal was a finish of the highest order and his second was a heist. What Claude Puel must have been doing to this lad when he was in charge must really question his ability to manage at any level.
As for Bournemouth they should have been playing against a 10-man Leicester. The tackle by Youri Tielemans on Callum Wilson was a shocker. I don’t care if the player wasn’t looking or, the tackle was mistimed, the tackle was reckless and he should have gone.
Did you know? Vardy has been directly involved in 14 goals in 14 Premier League games under Brendan Rodgers (12 goals, two assists).
Now it’s your turn
You’ve seen my selections this season. But who would you go for?
Crooks of the matter
Is it me or has the quality of refereeing in the Premier League fallen? I can’t remember when I have seen so many outrageous decisions made by the man in the middle so early in the season. There is no doubt in my mind that VAR has made a huge difference to the dynamic of the game but I also sense it has created uncertainty amongst our officials.
It should be the referee’s decision that is final. Not VAR.
It cannot be helpful if every time you make a decision you are wondering what has VAR seen. Referees deserve our protection. The Premier League must follow Uefa’s approach and give the referee an opportunity to view replays in the technical area in the event of a contentious issue or an obvious mistake and let him decide whether his original decision was right or wrong.

Kids all right but too much too soon? Solskjaer’s starlets struggling to turn promise into points
Earlier this year, Channel 4 released a show called When I Grow Up . The starting point of the program was to take a couple of children with them and to throw them into working environments for adults.
One week they might work for Hello! magazine. Next, they would be chocolatiers or brokers.
Looking at Manchester United tried to defeat 10-man Southampton at St Mary's Stadium, you wondered if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & # 39; s silk played the lead role in the second series.
Harry Maguire looks deserted after Manchester United has not demolished Southampton
Jannik Vestergaard rose above Victor Lindelof for the precious equalizer of Southampton
Solskjaer trust wde sat down on his striplings. Marcus Rashford, 21, led the line. Daniel James, also 21, scored. The man who helped that goal was Scott McTominay, 22.
Also crucial in the run-up to United & # 39; s openers were Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 21, and Andreas Pereira, 23. Ac 1-1 and behind profit, Solskjaer turned to 17-year-old Mason Greenwood
Other options on the bank were academy products Tahith Chong and Axel Tuanzebe. Juan Mata, the 31-year-old midfielder who was used at No. 10, must have felt like a dinosaur.
In December, United turns it into 4,000 consecutive games in which they have named a graduate in their team – a dating record from October 1937. It is an admirable achievement, but nowadays also an inevitable one.
In the absence of senior players, Solskjaer has no choice but to turn to his children. Whether they are able to compete in the Premier League is another matter. The shape of United is certainly worrying.
United States Daniel James has impressed made with three goals in four games so far this season
Saturday's draw with Southampton, who was shy for 21 minutes, means that United has now won one of their last 10 games.
They saved only one clean sheet in 19 outings, while their last absence was a win against Paris Saint-Germain in March. Their last one in this country was in February.
You felt that the United had traditionally found a way to win this competition. However, the youngsters could not win a victory, and this is a worrying trend for Solskjaer.
Alan Hansen said infamously that you can't win anything with children in 1995 and that he was wrong. Spectacular so. But can you win the Champions League place in 2019? Early evidence suggests that it will be a big question for this group.
Did Solskjaer gamble his season's chances on children like 17-year-old Mason Greenwood?
The average age of Sir Alex Ferguson that made Hansen eat his words by becoming champion and FA Cup winners in 1995-96 was 26 years and 137 days.
Solskjaer's line-ups this season have on average 24 years and 312 days – the youngest in the Premier League. He realizes that they have to learn how to grind profits, and quickly.
& # 39; We have won the last three games, & # 39; said Solskjaer, referring to their 2-1 loss by Crystal Palace in Old Trafford and 1-1 draws at Wolverhampton and Southampton.
& # 39; That does not comfort us on the table, but it does give us comfort to know that we are doing the right things. We have to learn to win games like this and the boys want to learn how.
& We create opportunities. It's about those dirty goals. We have young players and they have to learn to score those nasty little taps that I did. They count just as much. & # 39;
Romelu Lukaku may not have lived up to the hype, but the ball flew again and again through Southampton's six yard box and again, you asked you what he had been waiting for.
Solskjaer plans to teach Rashford how to score the ugly goals he wanted to achieve.
A concern for United is a lack of experience in the dressing room.
Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez left and were not replaced, while Chris Smalling, Marouane Fellai ni, Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia were also shipped on Solskjaer's watch. The six alone had already played more than 1,000 Premier League games.
Chris Smalling has also left the club, where he has been since 2010 , for Rome
Respected, professional midfielder Ander Herrera left with a free transfer to PSG
Now the children take a seat at the big boy's table.
So far, United has won r-games in a division where the best of non-points drop.
& # 39; A few words are said in the dressing room – as it should be, & # 39; Solskjaer added. & # 39; But you cannot control the results. You can only control the effort. We all move in the same direction. & # 39;
Harry Maguire, their new £ 80 million defender, shares the same opinion as his boss. He found Jannik Vestergaard United's equalizer robbing a win, but also admitted that they should have done more to dominate this game, especially after Kevin Danso's red card.
& # 39; We have dropped two points & # 39 ;, said Maguire. & # 39; We were too messy. We need to improve that and show arrogance. Be self-assured. We are Manchester United. We want to control games. & # 39;
The Fledglings of Busby Babes and Fergie were special. Young Guns from Ole Gunnar – Solskjaer & # 39; s Starlets, if you prefer – may not achieve the legendary status of their predecessors.
If United wants to reach the top four of the Premier League, this group must grow up quickly.
