A Knock on My Heart — êč€ì„ ìš°
Tumblr media
summary : one of your bestfriend, yeri, just got dumped by her boyfriend so in order to cheer her up, you and your friends decides to go on girls trip together during your school term break, promising to forget any boys that come between you and your friends. however, certain someone (or might i say a few) came into your life and the promise yall vow to not break, might actually crumble any moment. would you go back home solo or would sunwoo managed to steal your heart?
----------------------------------------------------------
CHAPTER 11 : Hey it's been awhile
Thank the heavens for your diligence in setting alarms every thirty minutes, otherwise, you might have missed the bus to school altogether. Last night’s choice to binge-watch reruns of Queen of Tears, despite your parents' gentle nudges for you to sleep early, was a glaring miscalculation. But isn’t it the human normal instinct to rebel against the very things that seek to restrain us? So of course, you didn't listen to what your parents had warned. And so, here you are, crammed into the bus, devouring a reheated egg sandwich with a fervor that belies your morning chaos.
As usual, the bus is a sardine can, brimming with adults rushing to their jobs, parents ushering their children off to pre-school, and students from every high school and university, each absorbed in their own worlds. You barely navigate through the dense crowd, finally finding yourself standing before an elderly woman seated beside her grandchild. You bow slightly, a reflex born of politeness, hoping to ease any discomfort your looming presence might caused to her. The elderly woman just returned back the favour.
You were too absorbed engaging a conversation with the elderly, not realising a tall figure stood beside you. Then, without warning, a nudge interrupted you. You turn to find Yunho grinning at you, and a wave of mixed emotions washes over you. "Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you," he says, his voice warm and familiar. Jeong Yunho—school pride, the star soccer player, and the second highest achiever in his class, seems to embody perfection itself. Good looks, intellect, talent; he possesses it all, earning the admiration of students and teachers alike.
Truth be told, back then, you harbored a substantial crush on him, and the two of you shared a history that now feels like a distant dream. That fateful day looms in your memory, a pivotal moment that shattered whatever bond you had. The surprise of his presence now feels disarming.
“Fancy seeing you here” you reply awkwardly, instantly regretting the banal exchange. Yunho raises an eyebrow, amusement dancing in his eyes. “We literally go to the same school.” Stunned by his playful retort, you mentally chastise yourself for your apparent awkwardness. “Oh right...my bad. I guess I’m still under the holiday blues” you manage a dry laugh. He chuckles lightly, his gaze piercing through your facade. “I saw your trip to Japan on Instagram. How was it?”
“It was fun! Definitely a much-needed break” you reply, relieved to find some common ground. “I see,” he responds as the bus approaches your stop. Eager to escape, you make a hasty exit, nearly tripping as you disembark. Yunho’s reflexes save you, his hand catching your arm just in time. Apologies spill from your lips as other passengers grumble behind you. Once outside, you quickly mouth a “thank you” to him before dashing toward the school gates, leaving Yunho watching you fade into the crowd, a friend’s arm slinging casually over his shoulder.
Tumblr media
----------------------------------------------------------
Inside the classroom, you struggle to focus, the numbers on the board swirling into a dizzying haze. Beside you, Doyeon doodles, blissfully unaware of the chaos in your mind. You envy her artistic talent sometimes, wishing you possessed even a fraction of it. The bell rings, signaling lunchtime, and relief washes over you.
“I can’t believe we’re already seniors. It’s insane,” Yeri exclaims, waiting for the cafeteria staff to serve her lunch. As you three settle at a table, you sense a familiar presence. Natty stands hesitantly, seeking permission to join you. It would be unthinkable to deny her, lest you be cast as the villain in one of those high school dramas.
Silence descends as Yeri and Doyeon exchange knowing glances, their eyes darting between you and Natty as you eat.
After freshening up in the restroom, Natty grabs your hand, leading you to a secluded corner. Suddenly, she kneels before you, an unusual gesture that prompts concern. “What are you doing? Get up,” you insist. “Please, forgive me. I was reckless that day! I don’t know what came over me. I was so stupid!”
Before she can spiral into a torrent of apologies, you hush her with a finger to her lips. “Okay, okay, I forgive you. At this rate, you could be a rapper” you tease. A grin spreads across Natty’s face as she links her arm through yours, playfully rubbing her cheek against your arms. You try to resist her affection, but her strength overcomes your resolve.
“Anyway, how are things with Sunwoo? Have you made a move yet?” you ask, curiosity piqued.
Natty halts, her expression shifting. “What’s wrong?” you probe. “Nah, nothing happened with him. I’ve moved on,” she replies, a grin lingering but devoid of sincerity.
“Just like that? Please tell me it’s not because of me”
“It’s not you, don’t worry. I just
fell out of love, I guess. Maybe it was just a holiday crush kind of thing” she insists, her lie palpable. The truth weighs heavy in the air, but you choose to trust her, burying your questions for the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------
The ticking of the clock becomes background noise, each second drawing you closer to your final class of the day—literature. Now, don’t get it wrong, you enjoy the subject itself; it’s the teacher that makes you want to crawl out of your skin. The way he drones on, his voice like a low hum, could put even a crying baby to sleep. And, apparently, you were no exception. Somewhere between the start of the lecture and your vague attempt at staying awake, you dozed off. Not that it mattered much, he seemed too indifferent to even bother waking you. Maybe he was feeling lenient, or maybe it was just the first day back, and he'd already resigned himself to the apathy of senior students.
Just as the class was preparing to pack up, your main teacher strolled in, clipboard in hand and an announcement ready on her lips. A collective groan rippled through the room. Everyone had thought they were seconds away from escaping the stuffy classroom.
"Alright, class" she began, her voice cutting through the tension, "I know you’re all in your senior year, and to kick it off, the school’s decided to hold an event. It’ll be open to the entire cohort, as well as the public. The goal? To raise funds for those less fortunate. So, let’s brainstorm and vote on what our class will contribute to the event."
The transformation in the room was instant. Where there had been the sluggish energy of a half-dead crowd moments before, now there was a burst of life. Your classmates, once as lethargic as zombies, suddenly brimmed with ideas and enthusiasm. You and your friend threw in your own suggestions, and after what felt like an eternity of back-and-forth, the class finally landed on a plan.
Good thing you’ve got some good-looking classmates, you mused, because without them, this idea probably wouldn’t have taken off at all.

QUICK READING RECAP
12th to 18th of july 2023
masterlist ‱ tip jar
🍌🍒🍑how does choi yena feel about the ‘hate rodrigo’ backlash?
↳ KnoS, wheat rx
she sees her and her company as being in the wrong. she knew from the beginning that this was risky and it was crossing a line, but also had the mindset of knowing that if big risks work then the reward is also big (regardless of if the idea wasn’t hers). she became more nervous after actually receiving the backlash and feared it really would end things for her career. right now she is back and forth on whether the move was too damaging to her career or if it’ll be something she can move on from effectively. basically, it’s made her really nervous but at her core, she is more positive and has hope so these feelings are basically playing tug-of-war in her brain.
đŸ„˜đŸ„ŸđŸ˜how does kiss of life natty feel about having to redebut in a group?
↳ the star, 10oS
not her ideal scenario but she is mostly positive about it and happy, knows that it was logically and practically the best option for her so she looks toward the future with confidence.
đŸȘ🍯🍹does le sserafim eunchae wish she debuted in newjeans?
↳ KoW, KnoW
she’s definitely thought about it before but she’s overall happy with her group (and the company she debuted under in general), so it’s not something she is upset about and thinks she may have even been more hidden in newjeans (so that makes her feel happier about le sserafim too).
đŸ„ŻđŸ„žđŸ„“how does russell wilson feel about future’s “fuck russell” line in “turn your clic upïżœïżœ?
↳ 8oS, the hanged man, the world rx
he’s doesn’t want to think about it but it’s genuinely pissed him off. he doesn’t want to give future the satisfaction of knowing it bothers him but future seems to just assume it has anyway. russell is sort of even more annoyed at the fact that it even annoyed him than the lyric itself, he wishes he was more unbothered (wishes he could be more chill).
đŸ•ŻïžđŸ§žđŸ§șwill olivia rodrigo ever write a song about taylor swift?
↳ 6oC, hawk, justice
yes
🍔đŸ„ȘđŸ„™how did the other everglow members (not mia) feel about debuting as mia and friends?
↳ chamomile rx, bee rx
not happy about it all but they pretty much all believed if they worked hard and proved themselves then they would get their chance to shine, they all took working hard pretty seriously. didn’t let this “concept” affect their teamwork, to put it more simply.
âŒšïžđŸ“ đŸ“Œhow did everlgow mia feel about debuting as mia and friends?
↳ ram, KnoS
she was happy, she felt really well-prepared for it (thought she was talented enough to handle it), and wanted to show how consistent should could be and that she would always be a hard worker.
đŸȘđŸ„źđŸ°what is the ideal (first) date for twice jihyo?
↳ nettle, 3oW, KoC
she wants to get serious pretty quickly so her ideal date would be both parties discussing their expectations for the potential relationship, and talking about what their long term goals would ideally be. she uses the first date to assess someone as much as possible so she can decide as quickly as possible if she even wants the dating to continue, so she wants as much as possible discussed and not feel as if her time has been wasted. however, that doesn’t mean she wants her dates to be boring, she enjoys drinking and eating with someone and talking comfortably.
đŸ„đŸ›ïžđŸ§will sm favour their new gg over aespa?
↳ 8oC, AoS
yes. at least initially but the answer is yes.
🚕🚗🚙why did pristin really disband?
↳ hanged man, play, 8oP
the girls were too rowdy, broke the rules too regularly. the company basically thought it wasn’t worth the effort trying to manage so many young girls who weren’t listening to their management.
đŸ„đŸŒŒđŸwhat does weki meki doyeon think of ex-april lee naeun’s bullying scandal?
↳ 8oP, the lovers, 9oC
she knows there’s truth to it and likely knew even before it came out (naeun told her stories and doyeon knew how she felt about the other member). she is on naeun’s side and doesn’t think naeun is in the wrong at all, she thinks if naeun even did anything it would have only been in reaction to the other member being annoying first.
🏼🧾đŸȘwhat is the ideal (first) date for nct johnny?
↳ 5oP, KoP, primrose rx
something very low-key and casual, if the other person is comfortable, he would even enjoy being in the comfort of his own home, ordering in and just hanging out. when it comes to first dates he wants to learn a lot about the other person but will do his best to make the conversation naturally lean towards getting the information he wants to find out (the most important thing is trying to work out how unrealistic someone is). he doesn’t want dates to be interviews or interrogations and is put off if the other person makes the date go in this direction. he also doesn’t appreciate trauma dumping but he could be understanding of it too (just ideally he would want the mood to be lighter).
đŸ˜đŸšđŸ„Ÿwhat does itzy yeji want in a partner?
↳ fox rx, 2oC, AoP
someone that wants simple romance, wants someone to do classic things (e.g buy her flowers and send her loving messages to wake up to). someone who appreciates keeping things low-key (she can even enjoy being a bit sneaky). compliments and verbal expressions of love are important to her. lastly, someone who has money and shows they’re willing to spend it on her (while still being smart with money) is something she loves.
đŸ«§đŸ«‘đŸhow did itzy feel about the protest trucks being sent to jyp?
↳ bee rx, 7oW rx
they were embarrassed about it, they thought all it did was highlight their failures as a group and fans didn’t understand the behind the scenes properly (though they appreciated the thought).
🍒🍉🍇are newjeans danielle and hanni (the australian members) closer with each other than they are with the other members?
↳ AoC, KoP
overall yes, seems to mostly just be an easier communication thing. however, all the members still seem a little awkward with each other regardless and they’re not really close yet. they’re all still learning about each other (and getting used to each other).
đŸ«đŸ°đŸ§how did ive wonyoung feel about the protest truck being sent to starship?
↳ 6oC, 5oC
she was happy about it and appreciated it, more so in the sense that she was reminded of how much people care and she also agreed with the messages overall. however, she didn’t really think the protest trucks would actually make any changes.

5,13,14,36 for the ask game :}
5. Who was your very first bias?
Uh this is a little complicated to answer because I'm a very fickle person and I have a tendency to get super infatuated with one member before I eventually settle on a bias (who tends to be a different member).
I'd say Tae/V from BTS though. I was REALLY into him when I first got into BTS and I was convinced he was the love of my life lol. He didn't wind up being the bias I stuck with but, I consider him my first bias in kpop because of how severely I was into him initially.
13. The last photo of an idol you have saved to your camera roll?
Tumblr media
Ferret boy.
14. Name 3 idols you'd want to accompany you during a zombie apocalypse!
Hmm, interesting. Probably Jeonghan, Chris and Minho. I think I'd need people who can be a calming presence because I'd be freaking out a lot and, I feel like the 3 of them would help keep me from totally losing my mind. They're also smart, resourceful and know how to get things done, which are other aspects I think I'd struggle with in this scenario.
36. Name an underrated kpop group!
I'm going to be very honest, I don't branch out much (I plan to and I used to listen to a wider variety of groups) from the groups I listen to and, they're all fairly popular lol. I will say, tapping into groups I used to somewhat actively listen to, Weki Meki made great music and I'd recommend them. Very fun, very good vibes music. Picky Picky, my beloved 💞

rules - read before requesting
hi all; i’m back on my bullshit (writing in the kpop sphere); i’ve been in fandom spaces for most of my life but wlw kpop writing truly used to feel like home. i really hope you all enjoy what i post!
my askbox is currently open for requests for drabbles, headcanons, most-to-leasts, scenarios, reactions and general kpop girlgroup chitchat. i write both sfw and nsfw content, and i ask that minors do not interact with anything i post.
navigation around my blog should be fairly simple as all posts are tagged by ‘groupname post’ and 'memberstagename post’, but if you need help finding anything in particular just reach out.
the groups i write for are;
aespa billlie dreamcatcher everglow fromis_9 gfriend (g)-idle ive itzy iu kep1er le sserafim lightsum loona/artms mamamoo nmixx purplekiss red velvet snsd stayc taeyeon triples twice weeekly weki meki wjsn .. and more. if there's any group you'd like me to write for, just reach out and let me know. i've been a kpop enjoyer for years now, and i listen to girl groups almost exclusively. gugudan, berrygood and laboum are some of my all time ults (unfortunately).
i only write for members born in 2003 or earlier. if you’re unsure of an idols age, please check before requesting. no exceptions; anyone requesting pieces for idols born pre-03 will be blocked immediately.
i write member/member and reader/member.
this is a kink/fetish friendly space. i will write most things as long as they’re not explicitly on my 'NOPE’ list below. some of the things people ask about often that i am comfortable writing are;
armpit fetish blood play body worship electrostim fisting foot and armpit fetish general BDSM themes such as impact play, degradation, and D/s dynamics hybrids knife play omegaverse omorashi pet play polyamory/consensual nonmonogamy public sex sounding watersports
i will NOT write;
consensual non consent or rape scenes gun play incest (including fantasy incest + step-cest) high school aus yandere aus anything that's literally illegal - i should hope this goes without saying.
i prefer that cishet men avoid this blog as i’m queer as fuck. i will be writing predominantly wlw pieces, but i’m more than comfortable writing for people who use he/him pronouns or folks who have penises.
please don’t send the same prompt multiple times - it’s likely in my asbox waiting for me to get to it, so try to be patient. if you’re genuinely concerned that tumblr has swallowed your request alive please reach out to me off-anon so that i can confirm whether i’ve received your message or not. i won’t judge anyone for their prompts, i promise.

Thinkin bout you | Doyeon
Warnings: 1 curse word
Genre: slight angst, fluff
Wordcount: 2,489
Request: Can u do a Doyeon scenario based on Ciara's song Thinking Bout You?
Tumblr media
Loving Doyeon was strange. In the beginning, your relationship had clear boundaries. You were nothing more than acquaintances that spend the night together sometimes. There were no goodbyes the next morning. One of you would just leave, no pain of parting. But over time that changed. You would start having breakfast together. When one had to leave for work, they returned in the evening and sometimes you even spend three nights in a row together.
And of course, you broke your agreement.
You started to develop feelings for Doyeon. You started to miss her as soon as she left and caught yourself thinking about her several times a day. When you had stress at work, you thought about her schedule that day. When you came home in the evening, you wondered whether she thought about you, too, when she came into an empty apartment. But you didn’t tell her all of this. What if it was just one of your wild fantasies? What if you would scare her away when you told her that you wanted more from this relationship? So you kept your mouth shut and let your habits go on.
“You know that you’re burning the food, right?”
You heard Doyeon’s laugh from the side, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Oh shit.”
You cursed when you saw all the smoke rising from the pan. Thinking about the past totally made you forget about the present and now Doyeon and you probably had to eat some burnt fried rice.
Grumpily you turned off the stove, when arms suddenly wrapped around your waist.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure it will taste amazing anyways. After all, you have made it.”
Doyeon said with her head resting on your shoulder before giving you a cheeky wink and opting to set the table.
And there it was again. Your heart started to flutter, and you scolded yourself internally, wanting to spend just one evening without you imagining your future with Doyeon as your girlfriend by your side.
Hastily you pulled the pan off the stove to stop your thoughts from going crazy and walked to the table where Doyeon was already waiting for you with a smile.
“Are you staying tonight?”
You asked once you sat down at the table, the hope in your voice betraying the casualness of the question that you had intended.
“No, I’m going out with some friends.”
Doyeon answered, making no big deal of it, not knowing that your heart sank.
Your thoughts tumbled again. Who would she be going with? Were they really just friends? Would she go home with somebody else tonight?
“Are you ok? You’ve been zoning out a lot lately.”
Doyeon asked you with concern in her eyes, catching you twice in one day being deep in your thoughts.
“What? Oh yeah. Just a lot of stress at work lately.”
You tried to lie as convincingly as possible and Doyeon eyed you suspiciously but decided to let it go.
Although there was a little bit of tension surrounding the two of you now, you tried to drag out dinner as long as possible. You didn’t want Doyeon to leave. You wanted her to spend the whole evening with you. But there was no reason, she had to. You were not dating, you reminded yourself. She could go out with whoever she wanted to, without asking if you wanted to join. Because it was her life that she didn’t share with you.
Therefore, after both of you had cleaned the kitchen together, Doyeon left without telling you when you would see her again. Frustrated you decided to watch videos on your phone in your bed, because it was much too early to sleep, yet, but you also didn’t feel like doing anything else. As much as you tried to focus on the content of the videos, your mind started wandering off again.
You hoped that no one in this world could actually read the mind of others, because if someone read yours, it would be quite embarrassing. Yours were basically 24/7 occupied by one gorgeous, long-legged girl. Annoyed by yourself you laid your phone on your nightstand, giving up on the videos, drifting off to sleep with Doyeon being your last thought of the day.
The next two days brought you back to reality again. Doyeon didn’t reach out at all and you tried to distract yourself as best as possible from the twinging in your heart. Although you couldn’t help but notice how pathetic you seemed. Every time your phone rang, you looked at the notification with lightning speed, hoping it was her. Until your suffering came to an end finally and it was indeed her name popping up on your screen. You let the phone ring a few times with the intention of not seeming desperate, although you truly were.
“Hey.”
You tried to sound as casual as possible, although you were sure that you sounded way too excited for that.
“Hey, Y/N. What are you doing tonight?”
Doyeon asked and a wide smile played on your lips at the sound of her voice.
“Nothing too important.”
You answered, making it seem like you had some kind of plans, although you actually didn’t.
“Great. Do you want to go out with my friends and me?”
You were taken aback. Go out? Meet her friends? That was definitely new. You had never met outside the protection of your own four walls before. Doyeon cleared her throat nervously because you had been quiet for a while.
“Or is that too much?”
She asked insecurely, but you were quick to answer.
“No! Not at all! When and where should I meet you guys?”
Excitement but also nervousness was evident in your voice, but you hoped that Doyeon didn’t notice. You wrote down the time and place that she gave you and hung up the phone afterwards.
Once the line was cut, you let out a squeal. You would be meeting Doyeon outside of your apartment. This could be a step into the right direction.
Two hours before you had to leave, you started to get ready. You just wanted to make sure that you looked presentable, which was harder than you thought. Your first ten outfits didn’t make the cut and so you still weren’t any closer to being ready after one hour and actually needed to hurry to get ready in time.
You arrived 5 minutes late at the restaurant and when you looked through the window, you could already see Doyeon and all her friends sitting at a table. Seeing them made you almost turn around and leave before anyone of them could notice you. They were all drop-dead gorgeous. With a big gulp you dragged your feet into the restaurant, forcing a smile on your lips once Doyeon had noticed you, waving you over to the table.
“You made it!”
She exclaimed excitedly, standing up to greet you with a hug.
“Everyone, this is Y/N.”
She introduced you and all of them bowed their head politely, mustering you from head to toe. You should have opted for a flashier outfit, you thought. You looked completely dull next to them. Doyeon pulled you beside her into the booth, where the girl next to her, immediately extended her hand to you.
“Hi! I’m Chungha, nice to meet you.”
She smiled at you brightly with her eyes turning into little crescents and you were absolutely mesmerized. Why had Doyeon put up with you all this time if she had friends like that?
After Chungha had shook your hand, she leaned back again, sneaking an arm around Doyeon’s shoulder though, making Doyeon rest a hand on her thigh. They seemed very comfortable with each other and you couldn’t help the jealousy bubbling inside of you. Telling yourself that you didn’t have a right to be jealous, because Doyeon had never been yours, you tried to push those thoughts as far into the back of your mind as possible.
The rest of the night, you tried to keep up with the conversation as best as possible. The girl sitting across from you, Yoojung, especially tried to keep you involved, but that didn’t mean that you weren’t distracted by what was going on next to you. Chungha and Doyeon were closely intertwined the rest of the evening, most times somehow indulged in their own conversation.
Your heart felt heavy. This evening was a disappointment. What you thought would bring your relationship into the right direction, was actually a step back. It seemed like Doyeon truly just wanted you to be a part of her circle of friends, nothing more.
You were glad when one of the guys, Dongmin, said goodbye early, giving you the opportunity to leave as well.
“Thank you so much for this evening. It was a pleasure to meet you all.”
You said while bowling politely, when you suddenly felt Doyeon’s hand grabbing your wrist.
“You’re already leaving?”
She said surprised and you wondered whether it was disappointment in her eyes.
“Yeah, I’m feeling quite tired today.”
You lied, accompanied by a hopefully convincing smile.
“Then I’m leaving, too.”
Doyeon said quickly, making a move to slide out of the booth, but you pressed her back softly.
“No, you don’t have to. You should stay, I can see that you’re having fun.”
The words left your mouth reluctantly, because you would love nothing more than Doyeon coming home with you. But you needed to step back from her a little. Seeing her that often wasn’t good for you. Fantasies started to rise in your brain and you forgot your real place in Doyeon’s life. You were just one name out of many.
A little taken aback, Doyeon stared at you, but let you leave.
Taking a deep breath once you were outside the restaurant, you decided to walk home. You needed the fresh air to blow out all the thoughts that had falsely manifested themselves in your mind. Doyeon was just a friend that would sooner or later stop all the activities between the two of you that went beyond a friendship. It hurt to admit that, but you had to get used to the fact.
Trying to push through your sadness, you almost ran to your apartment where you immediately changed into some more comfortable clothes. You weren’t even five minutes back in your apartment, when you could hear someone knocking on the door, so you rushed to open it.
“Doyeon?”
You said surprised when you were met with her beautiful face after you had opened the door.
“Can I come in?”
She asked right away, and an inner conflict started inside of you. Didn’t you want to put a little more space between the two of you?
“I’m sorry. But I’m really tired today.”
You decided that you should stay strong. You had made a decision and you couldn’t wait around anymore, letting Doyeon control your life like that.
“I’m not here, because of that. I want to talk.”
Doyeon explained coldly, brushing past you, not waiting for your answer.
She stood in the middle of your living room with her arms crossed.
“Why did you leave so early tonight?”
Doyeon asked sternly and you gulped nervously.
“I told you...”
But Doyeon didn’t buy into your lie, interrupting you instantly.
“Don’t lie to me. I know how you look when you tired. And you definitely aren’t today. So why are you avoiding me?”
You knew that you should probably be intimidated by her cold tone right now, but you somehow felt your heart flutter at her comment. If she could tell how you were feeling just by looking at you, she must be paying attention to you, meaning that you were important to her. Feeling Doyeon’s impatient glare on you, you remembered the tricky situation. You owed her an explanation.
“Um... it’s because...”
You stuttered, not knowing what to say, making Doyeon raise an eyebrow expectantly.
“I just didn’t feel like going out tonight.”
You tried to dodge the question, but Doyeon huffed angrily.
“Y/N I thought we had been moving past that point. Lying to me? I thought you knew me better than to think that I would accept lies.”
Her voice sounded disappointed and she made her way to the door with big steps. Panic started to rise inside of you. Of course, you did know better. You knew everything about Doyeon because she was constantly on your mind.
“It’s because I can’t stop thinking about you.”
You blurted out and Doyeon froze in her movement, slowly turning around to you.
“What?”
She asked confused and you sighted loudly. Now that you had already started, you could also just reveal the whole truth.
“I-I developed feelings for you.”
You said right in the beginning, wanting to get rid of that weight on your chest.
“It started harmless, but after a while you were all I could think about all day long. And seeing you today just reminded me of my actual place in your life again. And it hurts. I’m not special to you. But I promise that I will work on it. I can overcome my feelings.”
You sounded desperate, but you didn’t care. You didn’t want to lose Doyeon.
“But you are.”
Doyeon said while taking a few steps closer to you until she was standing right in front of you.
“You are special. And also so oblivious, Y/N. Did you really think, I would spend my days with you and introduce you to my friends, if I didn’t have feelings for you?”
She chuckled lightly, shaking her head in disbelief because of your blindness.
“You were just always so distant, never involving me into your life. So I didn’t want to overwhelm you and took it slow.”
She took your hand in hers and you stared at her, dumfounded by her words. She took it slow because of you?
“You are the only one in my life. Because for a long time now, I have already assumed that we are kind of in a relationship.”
Doyeon looked sheepishly to the floor, seemingly embarrassed by her words. You were finally shook out of your trance. You lightly squeezed her hand, making her look into your eyes again.
“I don’t want to take it slow.”
You stated confidently, making Doyeon chuckle.
“I’m serious, Doyeon. I’m all in if you are.”
A wide smile played on Doyeon’s lips and she pulled you into her arms, instantly making you wrap yours around her body.
“I’m in.”
She whispered into your ear and you squeezed her lightly.
Suddenly you didn’t mind thinking about Doyeon 24/7 anymore, because after all you had been stuck in her head, too.
“Does this mean I can stay tonight?”
She asked with a smirk and you chuckled.
“You can stay as long as you want to.”
You answered, pulling her face closer to seal your offer with a kiss.

Honestly, Little by Little (Pt. 1)
Idol: Lua (Weki Meki)
Prompt: Because of who she hangs out with, Lua has the reputation of a “bad girl” around school. You’ve never spoken to her before, and never wanted to, but through a chance encounter, you begin to realize that everything you’d thought you knew about her was wrong. Fem!Reader.
Writer: Admin Kiwi
A/N: Okay, I couldn’t just let Weki Meki comeback and NOT write something for them. I seriously don’t get enough Weki Meki requests and I’ve been binging their Mohae series so I just had to write something for Lua, who has surpassed Yoojung as the bias. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy, and go watch Weki Meki’s comeback Crush, it’s amazing! Also this ended up being so long as I wrote it that I decided to split it into two parts. I’ll try to have part 2 up soon!
Warnings: Underage drinking and minor drug use that I do not condone. Also a few innuendos, I guess you could call them.
Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
“Guess what happened to me today.” You looked up as your friend Hyunjin dropped her backpack onto the floor and plopped down at her desk, eyes wide and a grin on her face. How the two of you had become friends, you really didn’t understand. She was quite popular, pretty, funny, and loud, and she was in multiple clubs around school. You, on the other hand, were a bit of a nerd. You spent most of your time in the library, where it was quiet (which was how you liked it), and you’d never been to a real party. The only club you were in was the math club, and you prioritized your studies, unlike Hyunjin, who was a solid C and B student.
But somehow, the two of you had sat together in homeroom freshmen year, and ever since, the two of you had been friends.
“What happened?” You asked, only mildly interested as you looked up from the book you’d been reading. In the past two years, you’d come to realize that she often found weird things to be exciting. Like the time she’d cried out of happiness over a girl giving her a piece of bread.
“Lua hit on me. The Kim Lua. I almost died.” That.... That was different. Your eyebrows went up and you put down your book, giving her your full attention.
“Wait, for real? I thought she only hit on hot girls like Lisa or Yves.” Pouting, Hyunjin kicked at your leg, but missed.
“I’m hot! Shut up!” You grinned and moved further into your desk so that she couldn’t reach you.
“Seriously, though. I guess she’s really making her rounds. What popular girls hasn’t she hit on yet?”
“She hasn’t hit on you.”
“I said popular. I’m not popular.”
“You’re friends with me!” You shook your head.
“That doesn’t mean I’m friends with your friends. I’m not in the popular group. I’m not cool like that.” Hyunjin sat back in her seat, pout gone.
“I think you’re cool.” You laughed.
“That’s just you, Hyunjin. Anyway, don’t you have a thing with that Heejin girl? Why are you so excited about Lua hitting on you?” She shrugged and unzipped her backpack, pulling out her notebook.
“I do. But having Lua hit on you is exciting! She’s really cool when she talks to you and she has a really nice smile. I’m not saying I’d date her like I’d date Heejin, but it was nice to talk to her.” You didn’t really get it. Honestly, you’d be fine if you never spoke to Lua. Her group of friends was not one that you liked being around. They cared nothing about school and thought they were so cool, pushing the dress code with their crazy outfits and hair and jewelry and throwing wild parties. Plus, they were plenty scary. Suyeon, one of the upperclassmen in the group who was on the basketball team, was known for having a quick temper and cursing a lot. Doyeon, also on the basketball team, was known for her cool and almost emotionless demeanor.
“Whatever you say,” you said, just as the teacher opened the door and walked in.
“Alright everyone, I’m going to need you to pass in the homework I assigned over the weekend once we start class.”
“Shit! I forgot, can I copy yours really quick?” Rolling your eyes, you passed over your homework. This wasn’t an uncommon occurrence.
“You’ve only got few minutes, you’d better hurry.”
-
Later in the week, you were sitting next to your friends outside, eating lunch. The cafeteria was much too loud and crowded for you to want to go anywhere near it, and it was a nice day outside anyway. It was a normal day: you’d made yourself a sandwich for lunch, Hyunjin had forgotten her math homework again, you’d helped your seatmate in chemistry understand hydrogen borrowing, and then you’d gathered with your friends away from the loud cafeteria to eat lunch. It was going like every other day of your life since you’d started high school.
It was normal. That is, until Chaeyoung skipped up to the group, eyes sparkling.
“You’re late,” Seoyeon said, giving her a suspicious look. “What in the world were you doing?”
She tossed her hair over her shoulder and sat down, a grin on her face. “I was talking to Yoojung. You know, the cute, short girl who’s friends with all the delinquents?”
“Why were you talking to her?” Chaewon asked quietly, curious as she peeked over her book.
“It’s a long story, but basically I tutored her in math and ended up saving her from failing, and she ended up being really nice, so we talk now.”
“I really don’t understand why she’s dating Doyeon,” you said, shaking your head. “That girl doesn’t seem like she has any emotions.”
“I know you’ve never heard of it, (Y/N), but it’s called love,” Chaeyoung said, making you scowl and throw your napkin at her.
“Oh, shut up, it’s not like you’ve ever dated anyone either.” She shrugged.
“Good point. Anyway, I was talking to her and guess what?”
“What?” Seoyeon asked, scooting a bit closer with wide eyes. Everyone else was listening well too. Even Dami had put down her book to listen.
“She invited me to the party this weekend.” The entire time she’d been talking, Chaeyoung had been hiding her hand behind her. But now, she pulled it out to reveal two “tickets” in hand, grinning widely and wiggling her eyebrows. “She told me to bring a friend too. How crazy is that? This math club member just got invited to one of Doyeon’s exclusive parties.” Everyone’s eyes widened, and Seoyeon’s mouth dropped open.
For a moment, the air was still and silent as everyone stared in shock. You wondered if you were dreaming. There was no way one of your friends has just gotten invited to such a thing. Surely, this was some kind of joke.
“Is there a catch?” Seoyeon asked gingerly, voicing your very own thoughts. Chaeyoung shook her head.
“Yoojung wouldn’t do that. I’m telling you guys, she’s actually really sweet.”
“I know she’s sweet, but what about the others?”
“She said that she’d talked to them already and they were cool with me coming. Apparently Doyeon was the one to suggest inviting me.”
“That’s so weird,” Chaewon said, shaking her head in awe. “Why?”
“She’s thankful to me for saving her girlfriend from failing, I guess? I’m supposed to meet both of them for science tutoring next week, actually.”
“The resident genius,” you said, shaking your head. “Only you, Chaeyoung.”
“So, who wants to come with me?” She asked. Immediately, Dami and Chaewon shook their heads.
“No way,” Dami said, “I’m not a party person.”
“Me neither. I’m way too shy for that.” Chaeyoung looked at Seoyeon, but Seoyeon shook her head.
“I have to babysit that weekend. Sorry.” Before you knew it, everyone’s eyes were on you. You were the only left.
“Come on, (Y/N), I don’t want to go alone,” Chaeyoung said, giving you her best puppy dog eyes.
“I-.”
“Plus, you know Hyunjin, right? She’ll probably be there so it’s not like you wouldn’t know anyone.” This was an awful idea. You had no idea how to act at parties, because you’d never been to one. Plus, the music would be so loud, and you’d heard how these parties usually went down. Still, you didn’t want to make Chaeyoung go alone.
You sighed. “Fine. I’ll go with you.”
“Yay! Thank you (Y/N), you’re my new best friend.” You rolled your eyes as she hugged you, already regretting that you’d agreed. You just hoped that Hyunjin would be there too.
-
“What?! You’re going to the party this weekend? How?” Hyunjin looked just as shocked as your friends had been when Chaeyoung had announced she’d been invited. She was so shocked, she’d actually sat up from her beanbag chair, where she was usually impossible to move. You sat across from her on the smaller beanbag chair, nodding your head.
“My friend Chaeyoung tutored Doyeon’s girlfriend Yoojung and ended up being friends with her or something. Now she’s tutoring both of them, so she was invited and told she could bring a friend.”
“Wow. That’s crazy. How did she convince you to go? You’re, like, super against partying.” You sighed and leaned back, looking up at her ceiling.
“None of our other friends could go and I wasn’t going to make her go alone. She’s better than most of us at socializing but she’s still awkward.”
“True. I’m going, so I’ll totally come over and talk to you. It’s going to be weird seeing you there though.” You laughed.
“No kidding. That’s not the kind of place I usually frequent.” She was back to her normal laying-down position on the beanbag, arms crossed.
“Anything I can do?”
“Yeah. Help. I have no idea what to wear or what to expect or how to act.” She laughed, loudly. Like she always did.
“How about I come over to your place, like, an hour before the party or something to help you choose an outfit?” You looked back at Hyunjin to give her a grateful smile.
“I’d appreciate that. Although I’m pretty sure I have nothing in my closet that’s party appropriate.” Her eyes sparkled, and you felt a sudden sense of dread.
“Then shopping time it is. Get your friend Chaeyoung to meet us at the mall. We’re going to get you party ready.”
-
The day of the party, the door rang an hour early, as promised. Chaeyoung was already there, picking nervously as her nails as you ran down to answer the door. Thankfully, your parents weren’t home, so you didn’t have to explain where you were going and why you were dressed like you were. And you were spending the night at Chaeyoung’s, since her parents were on a business trip, so you could avoid having your parents be suspicious.
You opened the door to two people instead of one. Hyunjin stood with Heejin beside her, and although you’d met Heejin before, a couple times, her beauty always took your breath away for a moment.
“Oh, um, hi.” You glanced at Hyunjin, and she gave you a sheepish smile.
“Sorry, I meant to let you know that I was bringing her over, but I forgot. She knows how to do makeup better than I do so I thought it would be good for her to be here too.”
“It’s okay,” you said, stepping to the side and giving Heejin a smile. “Welcome to my house. It’s not much but make yourself at home.”
“Thank you, (Y/N).” As pretty as she was, Heejin was also sweet. “What kind of makeup are we doing tonight?” She held up a bag that you could tell was full of makeup supplies, and you shrugged, leading them back to your room.
“Whatever goes with our outfits, I guess.” Chaeyoung stood up from the bed when Heejin walked in, looking surprised.
“Chaeyoung, this is Heejin, Hyunjin’s girlfriend. Heejin, this is my friend Chaeyoung.”
“Um, hello.”
“Hello! It’s nice to meet you, Chaeyoung! I’m going to help out with makeup, if that’s okay.” Chaeyoung was taken aback at first, but quickly smiled back at Heejin. You knew they’d get along well.
“That’s okay. Should we get started?”
-
Your outfit felt tight, even as you rode the elevator up to the rooftop party. You’d never worn a leather shirt before, and you were never going to wear one again, because this one was uncomfortable. The long eyelashes on your eyes also felt unfamiliar and heavy when you blinked, but they looked nice so you didn’t complain. Honestly, you’d been surprised at your own reflection. You looked different, and you weren’t sure you liked it.
The music could be heard before the elevator doors even opened, but once they did, it was even louder. The thumping base could be felt in your veins, and you winced, hoping your ears would get used to it soon.
“The only reason they get away with it is because Doyeon’s family is rolling in money and owns this building. Otherwise the police would be here already,” Hyunjin said under her breath, just loud enough for you to hear as the four of you walked up to the party.
Yoojung was there, standing at the door behind a small table, and she smiled when she saw the four of you walking up.
“Chaeyoung! You made it!” Chaeyoung smiled back and produced the homemade tickets from her small purse, handing them over to Yoojung.
“Yep! This is (Y/N), my friend who I invited to come with me.” Yoojung grinned and leaned over the table, taking Hyunjin and Heejin’s tickets before turning back to you.
“Hello (Y/N), welcome!” Hyunjin and Heejin were already moving over to a piece of paper, and you watched as they wrote down their names. Yoojung followed your gaze and then quickly explained. “Oh, I forgot you guys haven’t been here before! I just need you to both write your names down there. For a head count, you know?” It was a bit confusing, and you didn’t understand why a party needed people to sign-in, but you wrote your name down anyway. Once Chaeyoung was done, Yoojung gave her a little wave. “You guys have fun! I’ll come find you once I’m done here, okay?”
“Sounds good,” Chaeyoung said, waving back at her with a smile. Then the four of you turned and walked deeper into the party.
The first thing you noticed was the bar, and you winced. You should have known that there would be illegal drinking here. There was also the smell of weed in the air, although it was faint enough that it didn’t seem like a lot of people were smoking it. The music was loud and coming from a DJ in the corner, and there seemed to be an area designated for dancing.
“Wow, the scale of this is huge,” Chaeyoung said, eyes wide as she took everything in. Hyunjin nodded with a grin.
“Yep. Doyeon does everything with a bang.”
“Wait, didn’t Heejin drive us here? You’re not going to drink and drive, are you?” Heejin waved her hands.
“Oh, no! I don’t drink. They have non-alcoholic drinks at the bar too. Don’t worry!” You liked Heejin more and more as you got to know her. You let out a sigh of relief, and then another thing stood out to you.
“Hey, why did we have to sign in?” Hyunjin stopped and looked at you with her eyebrows raised.
“Wait, they didn’t tell you?” You and Chaeyoung looked at each other and then back at Hyunjin, shaking your heads. “At every party, there’s a drawing for some sort of prize. Sometimes, if your name gets drawn, you get to date one of the girls for a week. Of course, if you’re in a relationship, they respect that and draw someone else, but it’s cool to see.” One of the girls. She was referring to the group of girls that Doyeon hung out with: Suyeon, Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy.
“Seriously? That’s actually nuts!” Chaeyoung’s mouth dropped open. “What will we do if we get chosen? There’s no way I’d survive dating one of them!” Hyunjin laughed.
“It might not be a date this time, sometimes they give out, like, gadgets and stuff. The time my name was drawn I got a necklace and earrings, but they change it up every week.” You still didn’t like the sound of it, and you glanced back at the table, regretting writing your name down. It was like Chaeyoung had said: neither of you would survive dating those girls. Both of you were complete opposites of them.
“Try not to think about it and have fun,” Heejin said. “Come on, let’s go to the bar. We’ll show you how to order.”
They did end up having non-alcoholic drinks, and Heejin ordered you and Chaeyoung two virgin margaritas.
“They’re good, I promise,” she said as she passed them over to the two of you. And she was right. The drink was sweet, but not too sweet, and without the alcohol, there was no burn. You took a tentative sip and watched as Hyunjin drank her real cocktail, rather impressed. Hyunjin acted like an adult already.
You ended up sitting near the railing of the roof, looking down at the city lights below you with your drink in hand. Chaeyoung sat across from you, and Hyunjin and Heejin had disappeared somewhere after Hyunjin’s second drink. You kind of didn’t want to know.
The music changed to something much more up-tempo and you turned to look as cheers rang out from around the dance floor. Lua was there, with Yoojung, but your focus was on Lua. The way she moved was amazing, and you let out a little gasp as she did the splits like it was nothing, easily jumping back up and continuing to dance right afterwards. Normally you wouldn’t be interested in something like this, but somehow you couldn’t look away. She was just too good to tear your eyes away as she moved across the floor to the beat of the song, doing moves that you didn’t even know were possible.
You watched, eyes glued to her, until the music changed, and she stopped dancing and let out a laugh, hands coming back up to fix her hair as she walked towards the group of girls who had been cheering, grin so wide it showed her dimples. Quickly, you shook your head and looked back down at your drink. She was still just a playgirl.
“I was thinking about dancing, but I can’t after that. How are they so good?”
“They probably practice a lot,” you said, dismissing it the best you could. “Once the floor is full, people wouldn’t even notice if you’re good or not. If you want to dance, you should.”
“Hey! Are you guys enjoying the party?” Yoojung seemed to appear out of the crowd like magic, making both of you jump. “Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you! I’m small, so I move around quickly.”
“It’s okay,” Chaeyoung said with a smile, waving her hand not holding the drink. “You killed it out there by the way. Where did you learn to dance like that?”
“Thank you! It’s one of my passions, so I practice a lot,” she said, pulling up a chair and sitting down. “Lua is better than me, though. She’s been dancing since she was little. She can do everything from hip-hop to ballet.”
“Seriously?” You looked back over at her as you spoke. “I would never have pegged her as the ballet type.”
“Right? But she’s honestly amazing at it. I go to all of her shows and I’m still amazed every time. She’s surprisingly girly. Her favorite color is even pink.” Now that you thought about it, she did wear a lot of pinks, even if it was on her hats and bomber jackets or those bright pink pants that the teachers hated. She was even wearing a hot pink shirt now, albeit a crop-top with a lace-up front.
You glanced over at her, and when you looked back at Yoojung, Doyeon was walking up behind her. Even just her walk was intimidating, and you swallowed nervously, but Chaeyoung gave her a smile and a wave.
“Hello, Doyeon.” To your surprise, Doyeon gave her a small smile back as she wrapped her arms around Yoojung.
“Hey, Chaeyoung. You enjoying the party so far?”
“It’s a little different than what I’m used to,” Chaeyoung admitted sheepishly, making Yoojung laugh. “But it’s fun!”
“I’m surprised you’re drinking alcohol,” Doyeon said, to which Chaeyoung quickly shook her head.
“Oh, no! (Y/N)’s friend Heejin ordered these for us. She called them virgin, which means they have no alcohol. Right?” Doyeon chuckled.
“Right.” Then, her eyes landed on you. “You’re (Y/N), right?” You nodded, unable to find the words to speak, but Chaeyoung spoke up before you had to.
“Oh, yeah, this is the friend I invited, (Y/N)! She’s somehow friends with some popular people so I convinced her that she would have people to talk to if she came with me.”
“It’s nice to meet you, (Y/N). Thanks for keeping our Chaeyoung company.” ‘Our’ Chaeyoung? Apparently they really liked her.
“It’s nice to meet you too.” Doyeon looked down at her girlfriend, and her features became soft.
“Anyway, I came over here to get Yoojung so we can do the gift announcement. Sorry to interrupt.”
“That’s okay!” Chaeyoung said, “By the way, what is the gift tonight?”
“Dating Lua for a week,” Doyeon said with a grin, resting her chin on Yoojung’s head, which made the younger girl whine. “It’s been a pretty popular one, so we brought it back for tonight. Maybe you guys will get lucky.”
“Ah, I don’t think I could keep up with someone like her....” You weren’t saying anything, but you agreed with Chaeyoung. How would a nerd like the two of you be able to date someone like Lua?
“You never know,” Doyeon said, “don’t be so hard on yourself. Anyway, we’ve got to go. We’ll come back over and talk once everything is settled, okay?”
“Bye Chaeyoung, bye (Y/N)!” Yoojung said, waving at the two of you with a wide smile as her girlfriend led her away. The two of you waved back until the two disappeared into the crowd, and Chaeyoung looked back at you.
“See? Doyeon isn’t too bad. Yoojung told me that she just has a hard time conveying her emotions because she gets nervous.”
“Doyeon? Nervous?” It didn’t seem real. That girl had it all. But you guessed if it was her girlfriend saying it, it had to be real. “I would have never guessed it.”
“I know. But when I talked to her she was genuinely nice, so I know Yoojung is telling the truth.”
“They both certainly seem to like you,” you said, making Chaeyoung squeal and bring her hands up to cover her cheeks.
“Stop it! I’ll end up blushing!” You laughed at her, shaking your head, but then the music died out, making you look over at the dance floor again. At the far end, the main group of girls had gathered, and Doyeon had a microphone in hand. Yoojung was holding a bowl full of folded up papers, and your heart jumped knowing that your name was in there. You almost wanted to rush up and take it out, but you would never have to confidence to do such a thing.
To distract yourself from the feeling of imminent doom, you looked over the group. Suyeon was there, and she looked a bit different than usual with her hair up. Lucy was there too, hands in her pockets looking kind of like she’d rather be back at the bar eating the snacks. Elly was leaning over Yoojung’s shoulder, listening to whatever Doyeon was explaining, as the microphone was still off. Rina and Sei were talking, Rina with her arms crossed as Sei messed with her bangs.
“Honestly, Sei is really cute too,” you said, squinting to see her better from your seat. “How did she end up in their friend group?”
“Honestly I have no idea. I think she was friends with Lua so she just ended up joining the group when Lua did.”
Speaking of Lua, she was standing next to Doyeon, slipping back into the bomber jacket she’d abandoned when she’d went out to dance. She didn’t seem nervous at all, but she was always confident when she hit on girls so you weren’t sure why you thought she might be nervous now.
The microphone clicked to life and Doyeon brought it up to her mouth, raising her eyebrows.
“Hey everyone! I hope you’re all having a good time, like usual.” There was a loud cheer, and you looked around. Everyone who had scattered around the party before had returned, knowing about the prize and wanting to see who had won. You could even see Heejin and Hyunjin standing off to the side in each other’s arms, watching Doyeon speak. “We’re now going to announce the prize. Is everyone curious?” Another cheer, and she smiled. “Why don’t I let our Lua introduce it?” She handed the microphone over to Lua, who grinned widely and stepped forward.
“Since it was popular the last few times, we’ve brought it back. Tonight’s prize is, wait for it.... Dating me for a week!” The crowd seemed to go crazy, especially the girls. You’d known that she was a player, but you hadn’t realized that it was on this scale. The girls at this party were crazy for her. Shaking your head, you tuned out whatever else she was saying and took the last sip of the margarita Heejin had gotten for you. You weren’t really interested in any of this, dating someone out of this group was not on your to-do list, and plus, the chances of your name being pulled were slim. There were so many people here that there was no way-.
“(Y/N)! Tonight’s winner is (Y/N)!” Doyeon held up a strip of paper, and her eyes moved over to your table as the crowd began to murmur, looking around because they didn’t recognize your name. For a moment, you sat very still, hoping this was just a dream. But it wasn’t. It was very, very real, and you knew it was when Chaeyoung hit you on the arm in her shock. “Congrats, (Y/N), it looks like you’ve got a girlfriend for the week.”
You wanted to run, but you were rooted to your chair, unable to move as everyone watched Doyeon and Yoojung lead Lua your way. How were you so unlucky? You could see Hyunjin and Heejin grinning and waving at you, and you wished you’d never agreed to come.
“Wow, (Y/N), who would have guessed you’d get so lucky at your first party!” Yoojung was practically bouncing with excitement, and you stared at her with wide eyes, panicking internally. You’d never even dated anyone, how were you going to do this? Was Lua really going to be your first girlfriend?
“Don’t be so nervous, Lua doesn’t bite unless you want her to,” Doyeon said, earning her a slap on the arm from Lua as she stepped forward.
“You’re (Y/N)?” Slowly, mechanically, you nodded. “I thought your name was unfamiliar. I guess I wouldn’t know it since you’ve never been to one of our parties before. But it’s nice to meet you, babe.” Your face flushed immediately at her use of the word, and she grinned even wider, eyebrows going up. “Should we get to know each other better?” Chaeyoung across from you squealed and covered her mouth, leaning back in her chair, and you made a mental note to curse at her later. This was her fault.
“Uh, I.” What could you do? You couldn’t lie and say that you were in a relationship because Chaeyoung was right there, and Hyunjin and Heejin were making their way over, and Hyunjin looked just tipsy enough to sell you out for the laugh. And it would be rude to just refuse. Was that even allowed? You were totally stuck with nowhere to run. Swallowing, you glanced down at your empty glass. “Sure.” What else could you say? You were just going to have to ride this out.
Lua wasn’t fazed by your hesitance to accept, probably just thinking that you were nervous. With her grin still in place, she held out her hand. “Come on. Let’s go over to the bar and get you another drink.” Internally, you panicked. But on the outside, you tried to play it cool, swallowing thickly as you picked up your empty glass and stood up, glancing at Hyunjin and Heejin, who both gave you a thumbs up. You really didn’t want to take her hand, but you felt like you had no choice, so you did.
Her hand was surprisingly soft, and you just hoped that you didn’t start sweating is she gave you a smile and tugged you away from the group towards the bar. Behind you, you could hear Hyunjin whistle. She was so being added to the list of people to yell at later.
“So, what do you like to drink?” She was talking to you. You tried to remember what Heejin had ordered for you earlier, focusing on the empty glass.
“Well, I don’t really drink. Heejin ordered this for me earlier without any alcohol but I don’t remember what it was. A margarita or something?”
“Have you never tried alcohol?” You glanced at her out of the side of your eyes.
“No?”
“Oh, that’s so boring! I’ll get you something without much alcohol so you can try it.”
“Um, that’s okay, I-.”
“Come on, you’re at a party! You can let loose here! If you end up not liking it, I won’t make you drink it, don’t worry.” What could you say? She didn’t seem like she was someone who would take no for an answer, and she was determined to get you to try whatever she was thinking about. Was she drunk? You didn’t know, since you’d never actually talked to her before.
The bar was crowded, but the crowd parted as she walked up, and you could feel the girls standing there sizing you up. You really hated having this many eyes on you, so you looked down at the floor and tried to ignore the feeling of their stares.
“Hey, bartender Jihyo! Can you give me two of the usual? Make one light, though, my girlfriend hasn’t really had anything strong before.” The bartender gave her a smile and nodded, turning around to begin making something, and you shuddered a bit at the mention of “girlfriend”. This was real, wasn’t it? Your first girlfriend was really Kim Lua. This wasn’t just a nightmare.
You listened as some of the girls talked to Lua, and she laughed along with something they were saying, until the hand in your own tightened its grip and you glanced up to see her holding a drink.
“Here. This one is yours. I think you’ll like it.” You took it gingerly. It felt different than before, knowing this drink actually had alcohol in it. Jihyo slid another drink over the counter, and Lua grabbed it and stepped back. When you glanced at her again, there was a gleam in her eyes that made you nervous. “Alright, follow me. I know somewhere more private we can talk.” Some of the girls whined, but Lua ignored them as she led you away, towards a back elevator that you hadn’t even seen before. It was slightly hidden behind elaborate plants on top of half-walls, but Lua seemed to know exactly where she was going.
The elevator was even nicer than the one you’d rode up on, and you looked around in awe, surprised at the scale of it.
“This elevator is so pretty, isn’t it? It leads down to the upscale private rooms so they had to make it a little bit nicer.”
“It is really pretty,” you admitted, nodding your head. You felt stiff and unnatural beside her, the drink in your hand foreign and the hand in yours even more so. Then, it struck you what she’d said, and you panicked a little inside. Private rooms. Where was this going?
The elevator doors slid open to reveal a small but beautiful hall, and she led you out towards the last door, hand slipping out of yours to pull a key from her pocket. You waited with your heart in your throat as she unlocked the door, eyes searching for any way out.
“Come on in!” The door swung open to reveal a suite, with a large bed, an elaborate bathroom with a giant bath, a desk, and two chairs to sit on in front of the bed, not to mention the walk-in closet and the vanity. The television was huge too, taking up half the room. You stepped slowly inside, eyes wide as you took it all in. Was this normal for rich people? You’d never seen such a room in person. This stuff only happened in movies. Except now you were inside one, and it was very real, and you were definitely not in a movie. “What do you think?”
“This is crazy,” you said, shaking your head. “How are we allowed to use this?” Lua winked and sat down on one of the plush chairs, motioning for you to do the same.
“This floor is designated for Doyeon and her friends, which means us. We could stay here all night, if you wanted to.” You decided not to think about the implications of that sentence as you sat down. “Have you tried the drink yet?”
“Haven’t had the chance,” you said, glancing down at the glass as she took a sip of her own. What would your parents say if they knew you were here instead of studying at Chaeyoung’s place? You could only imagine. You’d never thought that you’d have your first sip of alcohol while you were still in high school, but there you were. Slowly, you took a sip.
It tasted almost like the drink you’d had before, but there was a bit of a burn when it hit the back of your throat and you winced a bit. Still, the sweetness took away most of the feeling, and the drink wasn’t bad. You weren’t sure if you wanted to drink it all, though. Being drunk in a room like this was not something you wanted to happen.
“Do you like it?”
“It’s okay. I’m not used to the burn,” you said, lowering the drink and hoping that she wouldn’t pressure you into taking another sip.
“I guess it isn’t for everyone,” she said, shrugging her shoulders and taking another sip of her own drink and nodding towards the desk. “There’s water and stuff in the fridge if you’d like that instead.” When you looked over, you noticed the small fridge for the first time. The door to it was clear, showing an assortment of drinks inside, and you got up and wandered over to it. Placing the drink on the desk, you opened the fridge door and took out one of the waters, then walked back over to the chair and sat down.
“This is good,” you said when she raised her eyebrows, assuring her that you didn’t want anything else. Honestly, you just wanted to go home. Although there was something about her that was... alluring, almost. You kind of understood now why Hyunjin had gotten so excited over getting hit on.
“If you say so,” she said, leaning forward. “Anyway, (Y/N), tell me about yourself. I haven’t really seen you around.” Well, you’d been around. But you weren’t surprised that she hadn’t noticed you. It’s not like you were anything close to popular enough for her.
“There’s not really much to tell,” you said, shrugging your shoulders. “I’m friends with Hyunjin and Heejin, but that’s about all the popular people I know. I’m in the math club. The only people I’m behind when it comes to grades are my friends. As for hobbies? If doing homework is a hobby, then I have one. I like watching shows, too, I guess. I’m pretty boring.” Her face was unreadable as she watched you, and it was unnerving, so you looked down at the water bottle in your hands instead.
“I haven’t known anyone in the math club before. That’s impressive, though, that you’re at the top of the school in your grades! I could never do that.”
“All it takes is studying,” you said, and she fell quiet for a moment before laughing.
“You’re interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone tell me anything like that.” You looked back at her, eyebrows raised, surprised she hadn’t thought it was rude. “I mean, it’s true. If I studied, I bet I could get better grades.”
“Do you not study?” She shook her head slightly and took another sip of her drink.
“Not really. I don’t have the time between everything else I do and doing the homework.”
“What all do you do?” She grinned, like just talking about it made her happy.
“Ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, hip-hop dancing. My dance teacher recently started training me to be more well-rounded so I can dance to anything, so that’s extra lessons too. Plus I’m a cheerleader at the school, and I’m in the dance club. And I do stuff like this. So I’m always busy.” You had no idea about any of this. You still couldn’t really imagine her doing gymnastics or ballet, but she seemed so passionate about it that it made you feel a bit bad for feeling angry about her not studying.
“How do you not get tired with that kind of schedule?” She laughed again.
“I do, trust me. But I love dancing and gymnastics so it’s easy to carry on. I think I’d die if I couldn’t dance.” That wasn’t something you’d expected to hear from her, but you nodded your head, looking back down at your water bottle. You couldn’t really understand where she was coming from. You loved school and learning, sure, and you liked math, but you didn’t feel like you’d die if you didn’t have them.
“It’s good to have something that you’re so passionate about,” you said, and she tilted her head slightly, watching you.
“I’m sure that there’s something you’re passionate about. Everyone is passionate about something. You just have to find it.” When you glanced up again, she was closer. So close that it made your breath hitch in your throat, both because of what she’d said and how close she was. You licked your lips, and watched her eyes follow it, your heart beating hard. She was leaning in, and you didn’t know what to do. You hadn’t even had your first kiss yet. Was this really how it was going to be?
Your phone rang in your pocket and you jumped up, startling her slightly.
“Oh, I’m sorry! It’s Heejin, they’re all probably heading home and I have to go with them.” Secretly, you were relieved for the distraction, but when you looked at her, her face was slightly fallen.
“Oh. That’s okay. I’ll walk you back up.” She sat down her glass and stood up, giving you a small smile as she pulled out her phone. “Could I get your number?”
“Sure.” It would be weird to have a girlfriend and not have their phone number, right?
Your heart was still beating quick in your chest, and you wondered if she could hear it as you typed your number into her phone and handed it back.
“Thanks,” she said, slipping the phone back into her pocket and holding out her hand again. Although you were flustered, you took it, letting her lead you out of the room and up to where your friends were waiting by the door.
Later, finally in the car with the rest of your friends, you looked out the window, drowning out the sounds of their excited talking. Your phone felt heavy in your pocket, and for some reason, you couldn’t get the image of Lua’s small smile out of your head.

Yoojung runs for her dear life back to the apartment she shares with her friend, you, because she’d told you that she was at home making you dinner when she actually had been at her homie’s place playing video games for almost the whole day. But it wasn’t her fault that she had been there for so long! In fact, it's Suyeon’ fault for winning all the time although she doesn’t play with nearly as much passion as Yoojung. Couldn’t she just put her pride to the side and let the younger win for once?
That isn’t the point. The point is that Yoojung has promised to make her roommate food because lately you've been a little more stressed out than usual due to your passion for your work and she wanted to do something nice for you
Which explains why she’s running for her dear life, checking her phone for how many minutes left there were until the delivery person was outside their door with one or two bags of noodles.
“Fucking hell,” she curses when she slips on the ice covered ground and almost falls face first.
After speeding down the sidewalk — well, with the highest speed one can walk on ice without risking death — she sees the apartment complex and sighs out of relief, the cold air making her warm breath visible. She puts turns the key to the place and she immediately scurries inside, only to stop when she sees a random person with two bags of food just a few meters away. Yes! She’d made it before the food arrived! After taking the bags and handing a few coins to the noodle person, she hurried inside to put the noodles in a pot to create the illusion of Yoojung actually making food — not burnt food!
She checks her phone for the first time since she was trying out for the Olympics outside. 16:19. She’s here any minute now, she tells herself and takes off her outerwear and puts them in their correct places as fast as possible, to make it seem like she didn’t walk through the door just a few minutes before. The sound of someone walking outside freaks her out and her reflex is to throw herself on the couch and act like she’s sleeping.
Creaks fills her ears followed by the sound of someone taking off their shoes. Her roommate ___. You just arrived from work.
“Yoooooojung!” you call out, thinking she might be locked inside her room, and get no response from the fake-sleeping woman. You check the hall then go to the living room, meeting the view of a cute girl with cute hair and cute fake freckles scattered across her red cheeks on the couch. Your smile grows slightly at her peaceful state.
Wait

Red cheeks!
Your first reaction is to worry and crouch down next to her on the floor. Gently, you bring her little hand into yours, so she won’t wake up from her fake sleep (that you still aren’t aware of) and feel an alarming cold. Not really alarming, but cold enough for you to do something about it. Your feet take you elsewhere only to return to crouch by the couch. Suddenly the woman feels something embracing her body. It’s a thick and smooth fabric, warming her up the second it comes in contact with her. She brought a blanket for me? I must be a good actor then; she smiles inwardly at her talent at lying while you're thoughtful enough to pull the blanket higher up to cover her pink chin.
The internal smile wipes away when she now feels warm hands on the sides of her waist. What is she doing? she asks herself rhetorically, fully paranoid. How do I know it’s ___ and not anybody else? she asks herself, slowly growing anxious. Whoever it is who’s touching her is now delicately touching the sides of her legs, going lower and lower

Soon her feet are lifted into the air
What if a murderer is touching me? Or a demon? I might’ve heard her — or its — voice but what if it’s a clone?!
and puff her legs are dropped onto something fluffy. Is she tucking me in? After that, you do the same thing to her arms until she is restricted and can’t move. She burritoed my claustrophobic ass—
“Fuck, why are you so cold, Babygirl?” she hears ___’s usually-sharp-now-soft voice close to her face as a wind of a fragrance from Rihanna’s perfume collection is swept on her face (which is all she needs to know that it’s ___; ___ always smells good, and everyone knows Rihanna’s perfumes smell like Rihanna and thus the closest one can get to smelling like a Goddess).
Wait— Babygirl? Blushing is her first reaction and she is so fucking glad that her cheeks are already red from the temperature. Then again, you wouldn’t have called her Babygirl and made her blush in the first place if it weren’t for her red cheeks. She can feel your eyes on her. Looking at her. Examining her. How can I make her warmer?
Tea. Chamomile tea. That’s what she needs. I’ll let her rest for a few more minutes until the tea is finished, you decide.
Whilst you are making tea in the kitchen, smiling at “the dinner Yoojung had made for you”, said woman is just chilling in the living room, still flustered about the caring side of her roommate who usually only focuses on work and doesn’t show much attention or affection for anything or anyone. She likes this side of you. Maybe she should act sick once a month. Once a week? Once a da— But why did you even call her Babygirl in the first place? And why did it make her blush? And why the heck was she overthinking it?
You walk back to her with a yellow Sponge Bob cup filled with hot tea in your hand and put it on the table before you leave again. Yoojung can smell the soothing herb scent of the cup next to her as she hears you approaching again, this time with a honey jar in one hand and a teaspoon in the other.
“Wake up, sleepy head,” you lightly shake her to try to wake her up, though she’s already awake.
Her eyes slowly open as if she’s been sleeping all along, maintaining the movie star status.
“Drink this while it’s hot,” you say softly, yet demanding.
“G'day to you too,” she replies with a big and sincere smile that is just a tiny bit too smug.
She breaks the burrito effect and sits up on the couch, thinking the blanket was everything that made her sweat. No. She is sweating because of what you said, and all thoughts that have been running around her head since then.
You puts multiple spoons of honey into the tea. “This might not be vegan, but I don’t wanna get sick and get behind at work because of you so you have to drink up every single drop,” you make up an excuse for your caring side, making Yoojung chuckle.
“Why did you tuck me in?” she asks with a neutral tone to not make you feel uncomfortable about being soft and caring.
She’s excited for the answer

“Well, you were cold so,” you reply fast as an attempt not to sound too concerned about her.
For every second passing her smile grows more and more. “And
why did you call me that?” she looks into your eyes, looking for a real answer.
“Call you what?” you answer the question with a question.
“Babygirl,” she says so content, so delighted, so warm.
You try to think of a good answer to no avail when you realize something
“How did you know I said that?”
Oopsie! Her smile falters a little. All she can do is stutter out parts of sentences that do not make any sense at all, trying her best to come up with a justification.
“Did you act like you were sleeping?” you lean against the couch amusingly at how you dodged an uncomfortable explaining and instead turned your cutie of a roommate into a blushing, stuttering mess.
What the Shrek do I do now? she asks himself internally as she panics. Her smirk grows greater as she gets the best idea ever. Should I really say it? What if I’ve misheard her tone? What if she thinks it’s actually weird— Fuck it, it’s now or never.
She smiles so fucking prettily and stares into your eyes, pouting, “I’m sorry, Mommy, I’ve been a bad girl.”

Her Love
Request: heyy, i love your writing sm omg. i was wondering if i could just request like,, a soft scenario with doyeon and her s/o? whatever happens is completely up to you i’m just soft for kim doyeon atm 😕
A/n You’re so sweet! I hope you like this, I got really excited to do this one and I hope that enthusiasm translated into my writing. It’s definitely short but it felt right at the time of conception so I hope you like it nonetheless.💛
Tumblr media
It was typical of her to come to you the moment she got the free time. Doyeon isn’t the clingy type but she gets excited at just the thought of being near you. She watches you shuffle around your apartment from the couch as you return home from work. You have yet to notice that your girlfriend had let herself in with the code she knew by heart and is awaiting your attention.
You toss your apron in a hamper you have placed near your door and turn towards your living area to see the tall figure of the woman you love seated in her normal spot.
“Doyeon?” You slowly approach her until you are standing directly in front of her.
“Not too bad. It ended early enough for me to beat you home.” She smiles and sticks her tongue out, clearly teasing you. You lightly roll your eyes at your girlfriend but lean down to place a kiss on her forehead.
Once you can clearly see her face the joy hits you. Doyeon hugs you around the waist from where she’s sitting and pulls you down next to her. She continues to cling onto you like her life depends on it until you lay her head in your lap. You begin stroking her head and basking in her presence.
"How was your schedule today?"
“Are you hungry?” Doyeon’s eyes close and she hums to signal she is while you smooth some hair back off of her face.
“Well I’m not cooking but I have some leftovers if you want to share.” Again, all you get is a hum to signal that she agrees to your terms but she makes no moves to relinquish your lap.
“Up sweetheart. I have to go heat it up otherwise we’ll both starve.”
Doyeon groans but shifts to allow you to stand up. You decide to at least create the illusion of a home cooked meal so you put the food on the stove instead of in the microwave.
It doesn’t take long for her to follow you to the kitchen like a magnet drawn to you. She wraps you in a warm hug from behind with her cheek resting on your back. In this moment, you represent a pillar to her. Something, somebody stable for her. You’ve been a constant for a long time and she couldn’t imagine being with anyone like this but you. Her immovable force, her love.

I.
The sun was beaming down upon you as you walked to school, your backpack weighed down with textbooks you needed for homework last night. You had all your buttons done up on your shirt, your uniform tie laying perfectly below your collar. It was clear you were proud to live up to your goody two shoes nickname, with immaculate grades and a pristine track record that has been kept that way ever since you stepped foot into high school.
After a few minutes more of walking, you found yourself approaching the school doors. Your best friend, Choi Yoojung, was sitting on the wall outside school waiting for you to arrive. She hopped down as soon as she saw you, walking over with her signature bright smile.
“Hey Yoo, how did you find the maths homework last night?” You asked as both of you headed towards the main entrance of the school.
“It was pretty easy, I got it done in about an hour, you?” Yoojung countered, your conversation carrying you all the way into the school until you reached your lockers. After taking your textbooks out of your bag, you grabbed your biology copy and workbook to prepare for your morning triple class. You quite enjoyed biology, finding it one of your easier subjects. The only thing you didn’t like about that class was the seating arrangements. Most notably, your benchmate, Kim Doyeon.
Doyeon was known by every student, teacher and staff member in the whole school. She was notorious for being a delinquent, your typical highschool rulebreaker who seemed to get off on making everyone else’s life a misery. Everyone could hear her coming whenever she arrived at school, her motorbike making enough noise to deafen the whole town. You could only hope that today she had chosen to skip class so you could be left alone to do your work.
However, it seemed all your hoping and wishing had changed nothing, as Doyeon found herself sauntering into the biology lab five minutes after class had started. She barely acknowledged the teacher as she headed towards you, a lazy smirk painted on her features that made you want to roll your eyes and blush all at the same time. It was unfair that she got to look so good, it made disliking her so much harder than you’d ever like to admit.
“What’s up princess?” She asked smugly, slouching down on the lab chair in her scruffy uniform and leather jacket. You did your best to ignore her, your hair falling down to cover your face as you tried to focus on the handout your teacher had given you earlier. It was hard to deny that your heart skipped a little at the pet name, but you shook off the feeling, knowing that she’d probably said the same thing to every other student in this building.
“Ignoring me already? That’s not very kind of you is it? I thought you were nicer than that, Y/N.” She pressed further, sitting sideways on her chair to face you.
“What’s wrong Doyeon, what do you want?” You replied coldly, not wanting to miss out on any more class time. You wished she would just turn back around, and stop staring at you with those deep brown eyes, or you’d be sure to forget about your work completely and give into her charming ways. Doyeon was about to flirt with you again when, thank god, your biology teacher interrupted your conversation.
“Hey, Y/N, Doyeon, keep it quiet back there!” Your teacher said sternly, giving you both a look before returning her attention back to the papers she had been marking since the beginning of the lesson. You were quick to shut your mouth, not used to being scolded by your teachers.
“I just want to talk to you Y/N, is that such a crime?” Doyeon pressed once again, paying no mind to the teacher, or the fact that she hadn’t answered a single question on her sheet. You did your best to try and focus on your work, putting up a cold front in an attempt to stop Doyeon from talking to you, or even worse, trying to make you fall for her. As much as you wanted to give into the taller girl, you knew it would only end in heartbreak. Her track record with relationships was notorious throughout the school, and you knew that you’d be no exception to her cruel ways.
“Doyeon, really, you don’t ever want to talk to anyone except your group of dumbass friends. All you want is to bother me, then forget my name as soon as you leave this class.” You finally huffed out in response, watching Doyeon’s smirk drop at your words. Instead of responding, she just lowered her head and turned away from you. A pang of guilt could be felt in your stomach, and you wondered if you actually hurt her feelings. The minutes sped past as you sat there, completely unfocused and figuring out how to apologize to the girl beside you. In all your worrying, you completely lost track of time, and soon, the class was over.
“Alright, I expect those worksheets should be done by now, if not, well there’s your homework tonight.” You looked down at your unfinished paper, groaning as you knew you’d be done if Doyeon hadn’t been bothering you in the first place.
“Aside from that sheet, your finals are coming up soon. Instead of your result being 100% based on a written exam, I’m designating 40% to be given on a project. Make note of who your bench partners are, because they’ve now become the key to you getting your full marks in this assignment.” Your heart dropped at her words as you heard a scoff from beside you, and you knew you’d really pissed Doyeon off earlier. You had to apologize and focus on getting a good grade in this project, and you could only hope that Doyeon would accept and help you with the workload.
“Well, looks like I’ll be doing pretty well in biology this year, doesn’t it princess?” Doyeon asked, the cocky smirk back on your lips. The kindness she had shown in her compliments had disappeared, as she spat out the pet name in a way that just felt so wrong. You sighed a little as you watched her leave, before grabbing her wrist in an attempt to make her stay for a second.
“Give me your sheet.” You asked her.
“What?”
“Just pass it here.” You sighed, taking her worksheet and using the pen on her desk to write down your number.
“I’m sorry for what I said earlier, Doyeon, I didn’t mean to be insensitive. But, I know your reputation when it comes to school, and I’ll be damned if you think this project is being done by me alone. Text me when you’re free, you’re not getting out of this one.” And with that, you spun on your heel and left, not sparing a glance at the stunned girl sitting at her desk.
Doyeon was laughing to herself as you left, amused by your sudden bold actions. She couldn’t help but look down at the number written on your sheet, thinking about how cute you are when you’re annoyed. She hadn’t even been angry at you at all earlier, she just figured that acting upset would be the best way to get your attention, and she was so glad it worked.
------------
II.
Two days had passed without a word from Doyeon, so you found yourself at home alone, researching topics on your computer. You scrolled endlessly through websites, videos, anything to give you some inspiration on your topic. Almost an hour into your research, your phone pinged with a notification from an unknown number.
“What’s up, princess.” The message read. Your eyes rolled back in annoyance but your heart fluttered at her words. However, you were more annoyed than you were smitten, as the two of you were running out of time to get things done, and it was clear she didn’t care as much about her grade in biology as you did.
“Nice of you to finally text me, Doyeon.” You replied.
“Well, it’s been a busy couple of days, you know. You’re just lucky I’m texting you now.” You couldn’t help but giggle at her reply, feeling the sarcasm coming right through the screen.
“Whatever. When are you free?”
“I’m always free for you baby.” She responded almost immediately, making you freeze, unable to think of a reply to such a text. You decided to keep it short and sweet, not wanting to embarrass yourself in front of the charming girl, even if it was only over text.
“Tomorrow, after school. My place.” You responded, quickly turning off your phone, not wanting to wait for a reply that could leave you even more flustered than before.
You lay in bed that night, thinking of everything that could go wrong if Doyeon came to your house
If she even turned up in the first place, of course.
In an attempt to push back your worries, your mind started to wonder as you thought of the girl in question. You couldn’t help but allow yourself to picture her in her leather jacket, with her flowing, brunette hair and those brown doe eyes that always seemed to have a hint of joy in them no matter how grumpy she tried to come across. Even though you weren’t the biggest fan of the girl’s reputation and the stories you heard, you’d still be a fool to deny how attractive she was. Sometimes you tried to ignore those stories, and focus on how nice she was to you in biology, hoping that it wasn’t all a ploy just to break your heart like she did everyone else’s.
You fell asleep eventually, your mind on overdrive about the mysterious girl that you really wanted to get to know better, but you were just afraid to do so.
------------
III.
After another long day of gruelling classes, you found yourself sitting on the wall outside of school, waiting for Doyeon to show up. After a few more minutes of waiting and constantly checking your phone, you weren’t feeling confident that Doyeon was going to show. She struggled to make it to school usually, so you highly doubted that she’d make any effort to meet up after school hours to do more work. You decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and wait for ten more minutes, in case she was running late.
The minutes slowly ticked by, students pouring out of the school gates to head home for the evening, but none of them were Doyeon. You used your hands to lower yourself off the wall, your feet hitting the ground with a thud as you grabbed your backpack and slung it over your shoulders. You were just out of the school gates, heading home when a loud rumble started coming down the street. You turned to look behind you, seeing a familiar black motorbike heading your way. You scoffed as Doyeon pulled up beside you, dressed in all black, her leather jacket around her shoulders as usual. You merely watched as she parked her bike on the side of the road, pulling off her helmet and grinning at you.
“So nice of you to show up.” You deadpanned, making the tall girl laugh. She held out a spare helmet for you, motioning to get up on the bike with her. Your eyes widened at the thought, already adamantly shaking your head to say no.
“If you don’t hop on this bike right now, I’m not coming over and I’m not doing any of the project work.” She said simply, shrugging and holding the helmet out again for you to take. You crossed your arms, a frown set in your features as you looked the bike up and down, the fear making you swallow and look down at the ground.
“Come on, Y/N, just hold on tight. I promise you’ll be okay.” As much as you didn’t want to admit it, the sincerity in her voice really did put your mind at ease. You released a sigh, holding out your hand and reluctantly taking the helmet. You fumbled with it for a bit, not really knowing how to put it on your head, until Doyeon noticed and called you over. She helped you onto the bike, turning around to fit the protective gear onto your head. Your breath hitched in your throat as she leaned in closer to adjust the helmet a bit, your eyes scanning her face. It was the first time you’d ever been this close to her, and it was safe to say you really didn’t mind the view.
You were snapped out of your trance by Doyeon knocking on your helmet, laughing as you scowled at her antics.
“Hold on tight and don’t let go, okay?” She asked, looking back to see you nod once. You wrapped your arms around her waist, hugging tight out of fear. You gulped as you felt the bike moving, squashing yourself against Doyeon as much as you could. Your eyes were shut tight and your arms were like a vice grip around the taller girl’s waist. You could feel her laughing every time she felt your grip tighten, pulling her impossibly closer.
You had to yell the directions to your house over Doyeon’s shoulder, squealing every time she sped around a corner. Thankfully, you had reached your house a few minutes later, Doyeon pulling over in front of your gate.
“No one home?” She asked as she noticed the empty driveway, hopping off her bike before giving you a hand off the bike too. You explained that your parents were away at work, leaving you and Doyeon home alone all evening. You took the older girl’s hand and hopped off the bike, pulling off your helmet with your other hand. You both headed towards the front door, neither of you realising that you were still hand in hand as you went. After unlocking and stepping in the door, you stopped and looked down at your still intertwined hands. Doyeon noticed what was going on, shaking her hand out of your grip and awkwardly clearing her throat. A slight blush settled on her cheeks as you looked up, and you grinned at the intimidating girl’s sudden shy behaviour.
“Come on, my room is up here.” You kicked off your shoes, motioning for Doyeon to do the same, before following you upstairs. Doyeon stepped into your room after you launched yourself onto your bed, watching her take in her surroundings. You felt a little shy as she picked up a picture frame, a photo of you and your family being displayed on it.
“I really like your room Y/N, it’s very
you.” She said finally, before sitting down at the chair in front of your desk, spinning around on it while she waited for your response.
“And how would you know anything about me, Doyeon? I think I’ve seen you in class a total of four times this year?” You asked, a smirk gracing your lips. She simply turned to face you, her brow raised as she took in your comment.
“Believe it or not, I’m always in school, and I see much more than you’d know. I just don’t like biology.” You both laughed at her cheekiness, enjoying the unexpected comfortable silence that fell between you. Doyeon stared at you, your eyes meeting her gaze until you got flustered and looked down, clearing your throat out of nervousness.
“Uh, about the project, I did some research on topics if you wanna take a look..” You trailed off, watching as Doyeon came and sat beside you. You opened your laptop and pulled it onto your lap, the tall girl beside you leaning closer to see the screen.
“I think you should pick the topic, I trust your brain more than I trust mine. Just tell me what you need me to do, and I’ll get it done.” She replied, turning to smile at you. It was the first time you’ve ever gotten a real smile out of her, and it was so much nicer than the cocky smirks you’d become accustomed to. After picking a topic and assigning different parts of the project, both of you were working faster than you’d expected. Almost all of the project was done, and you just had to start putting together a presentation to give in front of your class.
“Doyeon, can I ask you something?”
“Mm, go ahead.”
“Why are you being nice to me?” You asked, sitting cross-legged on the floor as you leaned your head against the side of your bed. The taller girl was paying full attention now, turning to sit and face you.
“What do you mean? Have I been mean to you before Y/N?” She asked, her head cutely lilting to the side as her eyes showed nothing but genuine concern. You were honestly taken aback by the girl sitting in front of you, it seemed like a completely different person than you were used to.
“Well, not exactly I guess, but you’ve never had a proper conversation with me, and you always call me pet names in class and then go on and ignore me whenever you see me outside the biology lab.” You explained, looking straight into her big, brown eyes.
“Well, I guess we were just never in the same friend group outside of class, but I do apologize if I ever hurt your feelings, princess.” She laughed a bit at your reaction to the pet name, even though you didn’t really mind it.
“Come on Y/N, you know you love it when I call you that.” She continued, her tone a bit more serious than it had been before as she looked for your reaction to her words. You bit your lip slightly, trying to hide the blush that was threatening to creep up onto your cheeks.
“I mean
I guess I dont hate it
” You said finally, scratching the back of your neck and trying to look anywhere else except at the girl who was sitting across from you, chuffed to know that you didn’t really dislike her.
“This is a lot coming from the girl who tried to ignore me in class and called my friends dumbasses just a few days ago,” She piped up again, making you groan as you thought of what you had said back in the biology lab.
“I’m only gonna say this once, so listen up.” You said, half serious, half joking. “I’d like to apologise for what I said, and I’d also like to say sorry for judging you before I’d ever spent time with you. I’ve actually really enjoyed myself today, and I wasn’t expecting to. So
Thank you.” You finished, looking up to see a soft smile on Doyeon’s face.
You weren’t quite expecting her to crawl over beside you, nor were you expecting her to wrap an arm around your shoulder, but you can’t say you minded either of those actions. You stiffened a little at the unexpected contact, but you couldn’t help but lean closer into the girl’s side, feeling comfortable against her.
“Is this okay?” Doyeon asked, and your heart melted at her considerate words. You nodded, resting your hand on her thigh as you continued chatting away for the rest of the evening until Doyeon finally had to go. Both of you reluctantly got up, neither of you wanting to leave the other’s comfort and warmth. You walked her to the door, waiting for her to put her boots back on before she stepped out onto your porch.
“We can finish everything next week or whenever you h-”
Doyeon’s words were silenced by your lips on hers. You don’t know what came over you when you saw her standing there, the orange light of the sky framing her as the sun was setting in the distance. Your lips didn’t leave hers as she pulled you closer, both of you standing on her porch. Her hands gripped your waist tightly, her fingers squeezing you out of affection. After eventually pulling away in need of air, the two of you were shocked at what just happened.
“Sorry
I don’t really know why I did that
” You said, mumbling away to yourself as you tried to process what just happened.
“It’s okay, I
I liked it.” Doyeon said, her hand reaching out to grab your own. The blush on your cheeks was impossible to notice, even more so as Doyeon cupped your face with her free hand, pressing another soft kiss to your lips.
“Listen, I’d love to stay, but It’s getting late and I really have to go. Can we meet up after school tomorrow to
talk?” Doyeon asked, rubbing her thumb gently over your knuckles. You looked up at her with a smile, nodding as she smiled back, her eyes crinkling with joy. She leaned down once more, kissing you softly, before kissing the top of your hand and stepping off your porch to get back on her bike. You watched with a small smile as she drove off, her hair flowing from the wind as she headed into the distance.
After shutting the door and running back upstairs, you leapt onto your bed like a little kid, jumping around as the butterflies in your stomach went crazy. You pulled out your phone to text Yoojung what had happened, and it was safe to say that there was an alarming amount of exclamation marks and random love emojis thrown into the text, more than you’d ever like to admit to using.
You stayed up most of the night thinking about what had just happened, and praying that Doyeon would really stick around. Heartbreak wasn’t something you were ready for at this stage in your life, but you were confident that the tall girl felt the same way about you as you did for her. It was truly hard to believe that the Doyeon you had known yesterday was the same girl you kissed on your front porch mere minutes ago. Love worked in mysterious ways, and it was clear that you and Doyeon were no exception to the strange workings of fate.
------------
IV.
“Can you believe that was a whole year ago, baby?” Doyeon asked, her arm around your shoulder. You were both laughing as you thought back to how awkward you’d been with each other. You couldn’t imagine life without Doyeon by your side now, the two of you were practically inseparable.
“Best year of my life though.” You finished, earning a kiss on the temple from your girlfriend at your sweet words. Doyeon had driven you both out to your secret spot on her bike, the two of you loving the privacy you had. It was just a small beach a little out of town, but not many people came here beside you two. You were sitting on the sand together as the sun set above the sea in front of you - the orange hues another reminder of the first kiss you two shared. The smile on your face could never be taken away, you felt like the happiest person in the world now that Doyeon was yours. This was love, it really was.
“I love you Y/N, thank you for brightening up my life when I really needed it.” You turned your head to face your girlfriend, your eyes closing as you saw she was already leaning in. Her kisses still brought butterflies to your tummy, and you could feel her smiling against your lips. You giggled as you pulled away, smitten and joyous, all thanks to the girl in front of you.
“I love you too Doyeon, so much.” You whispered out, pulling away from her lips slowly as you rested your head against her shoulder. This was true happiness, and you were never, ever going to let go of the girl beside you for as long as you could. Real love like this only comes around once in a lifetime, and it would be a crime for you to ever let something like this slip through your hands.

You didn't know when it all started. And, at the moment, your mind was too busy thinking about how the taste of her lips had the power to take you to heaven, thinking about that the curl of her tongue in yours took your breath away and her hands sliding from your shoulders to the back of your head drove you crazy, all of this at once, in an intense flow of thoughts.
Doyeon's beauty is unquestionable. And being her bodyguard required professionalism at a level above normal. After all, how to take your eyes off her? You should pay attention not only to her, but to the other members of the group and especially to the movements around them. But Doyeon... she always drew you to her, like gravity did to Newton with that apple.
But despite having that strength to pull you into her, there was a huge difference between Doyeon and gravity: instead of pulling you down, Doyeon made you feel like you were floating. Whenever you were in her presence, just the two of you, you felt yourself moving away from Earth, moving away from all responsibilities and problems, and getting closer to her.
And kissing her... made you feel like you were dancing on the moon.
She took your bottom lip between her teeth, pulling it slowly, until it was free of them. A peck on your lips ended that long kiss and you smiled watching the redness prevailing on her lips.
"You are the most beautiful person in the world, you know?", you said while your hands caressed Doyeon's thin waist.
"Stop it, idiot.", she smiled at you, pushing your face slightly.
"I have to go... I need to work, I have to take care of a kpop girlgroup, I don't know if you know them..."
"Hmm... tell me the name of the group...", Doyeon's fingers started to stroke your hair, making you want to drop everything to be with her right there on the couch in your living room.
"Weki Meki."
"Hmmm... they are promoting lately, aren't they?"
You were loving this moment of acting between you both, it made everything more fun.
Then you would have to act a bit more, pretending you were just idol and idol’s bodyguard.
You nodded in agreement.
"Okay... I'll let you go. But just because I know you are going to take good care of these girls."
And after a few more kisses, you went to work.
In your apartment, Doyeon took out of her backpack some clothes that she would leave in your closet for the days she would spend the night with you. As soon as she was done, she got ready and took an uber to the dorm. No one knew that she was in your apartment and she arrived exactly at the time that the girls were getting into the van to go to Inkigayo. The manager didn't care about that because, for him, Doyeon was at her parents' house, as she said. The girls thought the same.
Doyeon got in the van and as it was still early, everyone was very sleepy and a little tired from the promotions. She sat down and put on her headphones to listen to music as the van made its way to the location.
The van door opened and you were waiting beside it with two more bodyguards. All the girls got out of the van, waving and smiling at all the fans who carried huge cameras to take high quality photos of them. And when Doyeon left, you had to make an effort to keep your eyes on the people at the entrance to the building, attentive to the movements and screams of the fans.
Everything was going as it should be. You and your colleagues had no inconvenience and managed to take them quietly to the dressing room so they could do their hair, make up and put on the right costume for their performance.
As soon as they entered, you checked everything and, before closing the door, Doyeon, who was sitting in front of the mirror and already beginning to put on makeup, looked directly at you through the reflection. You shook your head slightly, as if you wished her luck. Not that she needed it, her performances were always impeccable. But you wanted her to feel less nervous about it. Then, you closed the door and waited.
Inside the dressing room, in one corner, Suyeon warmed up her voice while in the other corner Lua and Sei were helping each other with some part of the choreography. Yoojung, full of energy, was already talking animatedly about something with Lucy. Rina and Elly, one on either side of Doyeon, were still sleepy while the make up artists were doing their job.
"You are radiant today. Are you in love?", asked the makeup artist in a playful way.
Doyeon's face flushed from forehead to neck, from ear to ear.
"W-what? N-no, no! Me, no!", she replied, worried.
Would she have noticed the looks you gave each other? Were you both not having the necessary discretion for your relationship to go unnoticed?
"It's just that you came in smiling...”, concluded the makeup artist, noticing Doyeon's discomfort.
She relaxed a little.
When the makeup was finally finished, the hair was already being taken care of by the hairdresser's hands, but it didn’t take too long before Doyeon was almost done.
She stood up and Lucy took her seat. She went to the opposite side of the door and looked for the backpack where her clothes were kept for when she went to perform. She went to the bathroom and started changing, until she realized something was missing.
A crucial thing.
"Damn it!"
She had forgotten the suit jacket on your bed when she decided to put some of her clothes in the corner that you had left for her in your closet. How could she have forgotten such an important piece of clothing right away?
Doyeon's breath started to accelerate and she felt despair start to take over her body. When she opened the door, Rina was outside.
"Ah, I'm glad you’re done, I have to change.", said the younger girl, with a small smile on her face.
Doyeon got out for her to get in and went over to the manager to explain the situation. She said she had forgotten the suit at her parent’s house. He was a bit angry and said he wouldn't have time to search for it and that none of the girls had that spare piece of clothing.
"I tell you to pay more attention to your stuff but I'm always the boring guy in the story."
Doyeon ignored him. She took a deep breath.
Then an idea came to her mind.
You had just looked at your watch and noticed that the performance was only a few minutes away when the door behind you opened and closed quickly. And there was Doyeon, spectacularly beautiful, looking at you a little breathlessly and also seemed nervous. You couldn’t hide your concern.
"Did something happen?"
Doyeon's eyes went down all over your body and went back up to where your torso was.
"Take off your clothes."
"What?", you asked, eyes wide open.
"No! No, not the clothes!", Doyeon stuttered, nervous. "Just the suit jacket, I need the suit jacket."
You looked around, hoping that no one was listening to this conversation that was already too weird even for you. What the hell was going on?
"Why?"
"I forgot mine at your... at my parents' house."
You looked at her face, trying to decipher it. It only took a few seconds of looking at her to finally understand what had happened.
"They'll notice it, I don't have any other suit.", you started to take off the suit to give it to her.
"It's a life-death moment, Y/N!", Doyeon pulled on your suit and rolled up its sleeves. "I hope you don't mind, but if it looks good on me, I won't give it back."
And at the end of the sentence, she went back into the dressing room, without giving you a chance to tell her that she was looking stunning.
"Where did you get it from?", asked Elly as they walked until they were close to the stage. "I saw you talking to the manager about forgetting the suit."
The microphones were being adjusted and Doyeon was surprised at how well that suit fit her. It definitely wouldn't be yours anymore.
"Ah, well... Y/N, the bodyguard, is my friend. We are very close friends."
Elly nodded and they soon had to go to the stage. The performance would begin.
"Aren't you going to give it back?", Yoojung asked Doyeon as they got into the van.
The schedule was over and the performance was one of their best performances at Inkigayo. They would finally go back to the dorm and get some rest.
"Give back what?", she was confused by the question and sat down in her usual place.
"The suit jacket..."
There was a silence.
The van started to return to the dorm. Doyeon knew that Yoojung would expect an answer.
"The next time we see each other, I'll give it back.", she tried to speak casually. "I mean, on our next schedule."
"It's just that they are very friendly, you know, Yoojung?", said Elly, in a suspicious tone, turning to them. "Very close friends."
The girls started looking at Doyeon with suspicious smiles and she felt shy.
"YA! Stop it!"
There were a few giggles in the van and Doyeon started putting on her headphones.
"That suit was hers. But now it's mine.", she concluded, just confirming that yes, you both were very, very close friends.

the 2 different types of scenarios i imagine when hearing different songs
love scenario by ikon: 3 people fighting over a 4th person and even turning on each other over it. The 3 people get to know the 4th person and then they go to each other to make up as they realize there was no point in fighting and the 4th person is better off as just being their friend. bonus if the 3 are Looking Respectfully at the 4th person as they dance to the song in an empty convenience store parking lot as it rains
cool by weki meki: THE FUCKIN BAR FIGHT OF THE CENTURY THAT'S WHAT.
