You can find so many Adam parallels in SPN. His last name is not Winchester, although technically he is one; while Winchester brothers’ motto is “family doesn’t end in blood”, Adam is the embodiment of “family doesn’t start in blood”. Michael’s pure unconditional romantic and platonic love for him is opposite to Nick’s sick murderous obsession with Lucifer (both being the two sides of the same coin). Adam has a forgiving and kind personality, he believes in being able to save the world even after he and his mother were brutally killed; his father sought revenge for Mary’s murder, destroying the only family he got left in the process. There are so many things that can be compared to Adam’s story arc. Michael’s grief after losing Adam / Dean practically forgetting about Castiel after 15x18? Adam (the son who hates the father) replacing Dean (the son who loves the father) in the Cage? Sam saying him and Eileen came to an agreement / Adam saying the same thing about him and Michael literal minutes after that? Adam had so much importance in the series, and all that being basically unnoticed by the fandom is just unfair.

the kavetham brainrot is real, I have multiple foreign language tests this week and I’m starting two new courses but instead I’ve been researching architectural styles of the middle east, north africa, and southeast asia to be able to write this akademiya era fic because Kaveh is a genius and a passionate prodigy and I refuse to not write him as such.

after multiple hours of research and a lot of reading, I am now extremely angry and disappointed about how genshin dropped the ball with indo-islamic architecture in the rainforest, it could’ve been so colorful and beautiful and connected to real architecture. but it’s so orientalist in game. ironically the desert is better in terms of architectural adhesion to real cultures. pls ask me about it im going crazy

This is from a post-Fade kiss but pre-relationship solavellan wip, in which Solas helps Eira with a panic attack and then learns she's been dealing with difficult to control nightmares. This snippet is from a scene where he teaches her some meditation techniques so that she might better control her emotions in the Fade:

Eira watches with fascination as he lifts the teapot with practiced grace and pours two cups. She realizes then that it's the same teapot from his desk in the rotunda—the squat round turtle-shaped pot with four little turtle-shaped feet. It feels so out of character for him that a laugh—part genuine amusement, mostly frazzled nerves—bubbles up and out of her throat. 

He glances at her as he sets the pot back down. 

“It's nothing,” she says. “You know, I quite enjoy tea. I've never mentioned that.”

“Then this will be a much less painful experience for you,” he says, with a grave sort of dryness that makes her mouth twist into a smile. “Do you take it with honey?”

“No. Too sweet.”

Solas wrinkles his nose, and it's such a ridiculous display of disgust that she nearly laughs again. “Very well,” he says, stirring a generous spoonful into his own cup. “Suit yourself.”
