if galar came out during the 3ds era it would be peak even without the 3d models but alas it was the first mainline game on the switch AND costed 60 euros making it unplayable
#pokemon#galar on its own isnt the worst thing ever but it sure as hell isnt the best#even shiny hunting in this game is unfun#you have to ko the same pokemon 500 times for a chance of one of them to spawn with an aura#and the aura pokemon has the higher shiny chance#bizarre and awful#i like that i can somehow track how many ive seen (killed/catched) in game but the aura restriction sucks#im not excited to hunt in this game even though its the only one with shiny charm#alola with sos and kalos with hoards were so much better

gachas should stop relying so heavily on their npcs for storytelling and let their pullable characters interact more
#they can hate each other its fine healthy even#older gachas i miss you you were so allergic to npcs#some games didnt even have npc models#if a non-pullable character spoke there was simply nothing on the screen just some lines of text#in contrast to modern gachas who are scared to give their characters some conflict so they make the npcs do it

alice in borderland is so funny this guy is getting visions from the author in every single game but hes still getting obliterated
#alice in borderland#you cannot look me in the eyes and say arisu comes to these conclusions/plans naturally#yet somehow hes still making it by the skin of his teeth#like the beach arc#out for 90% of the game half-consious the rest of it#no evidence guesses the solution in minutes#uses his secret connection to the author to telepathetically view the military guys entire backstory#this is omnescient reader viewpoint but on accident#i cant hate this manga its so stupid but the games are so fun#rule of cool is the answer to every riddle#and when i say rule of cool i mean it the art style straight up changes arisu is drawn like a 30 year old man#the fact that its painfully 2000s adds to my enjoyment

#kasane and subaru#like youd think that would be a common aspect to explore in crossdressing romances but nope#it feels so refreshing#the couple are adults#and the crossdresser has started the hobby very recently as an adult#which means hes exploring gender presentation for the first time but has the wisdom of an adult#like hes not conflicted about buying stuff or dressing up because its his money and his clothes#but he does care about random passerbys looking his way#i would even go as far as to say its the only story ive seen where the crossdresser is just doing drag#he states that he wants to act differently while in and out of the femme clothes
