quick Kilner
for years now We Fix Space Junk has been a source of comfort, an outlet for my artistic creativity and the characters and their stories will forever be reminder for me to keep going no matter what is handed to me.
I look forward to the adventures Kilner and Samantha will go on and the unfolding within Automnicon's narrative. And it's maybe strange to say I find comfort in reading Automnicon: The Intern but in some ways I do, I see parts of myself within all these characters from Kilner and Samantha to Ms. Lamb and Astatine, their pasts and complexities and flaws and ambitions and hopes sit within myself. Didn't mean to ramble so much but I really love this podcast. a lot. So thank you, Beth Crane, for creating this wonderful little universe.

Fiction Podcast Recs!
OOOOH love this!!!! Inspired by @littleacebee's podcast rec game!
One podcast that you think person interested in audio drama should listen to - @thesiltverses is one of the most elegant, original, interestingly made serialised horror dramas in the space. If you want to think and learn about how to write lyrically and evocatively for audio, listen to this!!
One podcast that has community around it you love interacting with - I generally find that fans of Wooden Overcoats are the absolute cutest people, possibly because we're largely awkward, shy and British
One podcast that inspired you to create something - I (Ella) cosplayed Christine from @archive81!!! Specifically from s3e6, exist in the space you are currently occupying
[Image ID: Two photos. The first shows Ella Watts cosplaying as Christine from Archive 81 and Beth Crane cosplaying as Kilner from @wefixspacejunk - they're standing in front of a stand for UK fiction podcasts. They're both white women, they have their arms around each other and are grinning. The second photo is Ella posing in her cosplay, pointing a toy pistol at the viewer and looking serious. You can see a tape recorded apparently taped to and embedded in her arm.] (Fun fact, this cosplay gave me a scar that I still have to this day...!) One podcast that have music you could listen on repeat - HAVE Y'ALL HEARD THE THEME OF @nightshiftpodcast????? I get 300% concentrated gay feelings just hearing the opening
One podcast that’s new and you need more people to join in appreciation - I'm a huge fan of @ethicstownpod!!! It's sensational, January is maximum blorbo material, and the premise (town where ethical thought problems are literally real and fucking up the townsfolk) is really interesting and well executed
One podcast you can’t wait for - I can't wait for @twelvelms!!!! Possibly obviously I'm a huge fan of fantasy generally, but also @spiritboxradio is fantastic and I'm really excited for more from the team!!!

Happy audio drama Sunday! I know I’ve been a little absent online recently, but there are some shows that I really need to yell about this week
First of all, @twinstrangersp are currently crowdfunding for Syntax S3, and need your help to reach their goal! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/syntax-season-three#/
If you’ve heard the first two seasons, you KNOW they’ve got some fantastic stuff in store for us. And if you haven’t? Now’s the time to give them a listen before the crowdfund ends - their S2 crowdfund was what got me hooked on the show, and I’m so glad it did 🥰
Also, I’m still not emotionally recovered from @monkeymanproductions Moonbase Theta, Out finale. I won’t say too much about it yet because a) spoilers for anyone who hasn’t listened yet, and b) there are epilogues coming.
But god, this has been such a beautiful story from the start. MTO is one of the first ADs I ever listened to, and it’s the one that stuck with me most vividly. I remember exactly where I was when I was listening to the first season, what the weather was like, which house I was in (I’ve moved a lot), what I was doing during each finale.
It would be easy for a show like that to have a disappointing ending, but no. The finale beautifully reinforces everything this show stands for for - community, radical hope, small victories against seemingly untouchable oppressors. I’m forever grateful that this story exists for me to revisit (and I will be revisiting, often).
And finally, I know I’m late to this one but I’ve been powering through Greater Boston in time for their live-show at London Podcast Festival this evening! I don’t know why I waited so long to listen, this show is hilarious, chaotic as hell, and has made me cry an alarming number of times considering a main plot arc is “cheese robots”
I’ll be at LPF tonight watching @ameliapodcast @greaterblogston and @wefixspacejunk and idk about you but I can’t think of a more perfect way to spend my Sunday evening ☺️

W is for @wefixspacejunk!
Sci-fi comedy. Two repairwomen indebted to the all-powerful and all-present Automnicon, hurtle through space fixing all kinds of things on different planets, and get into all sorts of shenanigans.

Happy Solstice from Moonbase Theta, Out!
HAPPY SOLSTICE, friends of the Moon! Last year we celebrated with our first and only Moonbase Theta, Out holiday special, "Visions of Sugarplums" - crossing over with FIVE shows we love in five dream sequences! Go check it out if you haven't before!
It's a fantastically fun series of crossovers with @starfallpod, @wefixspacejunk, @pasitheapowder, @sidequestingpod and Oz-9! And it's all caused by that loveable MTO artificial consciousness, Tumnus!
And while we're in the holiday spirit, we thought we'd re-share our Moonbase holiday cards of yore! This was a lovely group shot of the Base Theta crew during the original shutdown sequence, by @rosenkranz-does-things!
And this was last year's holiday card, featuring Dr. Day (aka Sarah Rhea Werner) and Dr. Raptor, also by @rosenkranz-does-things!
And then, of course, a quick revisit to this year's card, featuring Ashwini and Jaxon, created by the amazing @grendel-menz! (We just can't share this around enough times!)
There are just a bunch of folks on the Moon who love this time of year, I guess. All the best wishes from our part of the universe to yours, now and always! <3

Hello audio drama community! I would love to interest you in little podcast appreciation-recommendation game. Please reblog/comment and share with me:
One podcast that you think person interested in audio drama should listen to (either because of the influence on the medium, a cool way of using audio format, general amazing sound, performance etc, whatever you think falls in this category)
One podcast that has community around it you love interacting with (fandom, artists, discord server, official accounts, etc)
One podcast that inspired you to create something (fanart, fanfic, something handmade, cosplay, headcanons, something completely original, etc)
One podcast that have music you could listen on repeat (theme, musical episodes, any songs included)
One podcast that’s new and you need more people to join in appreciation (like max one season, even better if not complete)
One podcast you can’t wait for (is not yet released)
RULES: One podcast per category, you can put the same podcasts in few if you want but I encourage trying to pick six different. I know that probably you have more than one that can fit every category but still I ask for one – I don’t want you to treat it as the one you put is your favourite or the best one, just the one you thought about now, is lately on your mind. If you can’t think about one for certain category you can leave it empty. If you want you can add explanations why this one, the description of the podcast or generally show some love but that’s completely voluntary. And if you are official podcast account and want to join the fun, came and join! Put your own podcast in any category and share your other choices.
And of course just have fun with it and share some positivity!
I’ll start:
One podcast that you think person loving audio drama should listen to: The Orphans - extremely interesting way of telling the story with amazing cast and quality
One podcast that has community around it you love interacting with: The Amelia Project - Soon after I listened to TAP the cocoa collars took place and it was so nice to see so many people show love to this podcast. Love you my besties <3
One podcast that inspired you to create something: Stellar Firma - I embroidered one of the quotes and plan on making it into a pillow, it will be an amazing extremely confusing pillow
One podcast that have music you could listen on repeat: Night Shift: An Urban Fantasy Audio Drama - “Give it all up” is stuck in my brain and I already added it to my playlist to listen on repeat
One podcast that’s new and you need more people to join in appreciation: The Kingmaker Histories - Listened to latest episode today and I just love the number of cool dangerous women that are introduced, you would love them tumblr
One podcast you can’t wait for: Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later - Every bit of info I get about this podcast just make me more and more excited

Yesterday I finished something I've been putting off. I caught up on MarsCorp. And then I was legally obligated to throw a few bucks at their Patreon. Because I need more MarsCorp in my ear holes. Okay. Full disclosure. I *wasn't* legally obligated, but maybe if I say that others will pay in, and we'll *all* get more MarsCorp. MarsCorp (@marscorp )is from Definitely Human productions @definitelyhumanproductions , the same lovely people who brought us, The Bunker (I miss you David, David, and Tom!). It's a Sci-Fi Futurist Comedy, about no nonsense project manager, E.L. Hob waking up from cryo-sleep on Mars. Hired to assist the company with it's terraforming project, Hob's limited term employment is only meant to last a couple years, and then she can go home to Earth. All she has to do is whip these lazy Martians into shape and get this project back on track. Unless this project has been going on longer than she thinks...wait...how long has she been asleep??! If you loved The Bunker, Our Fair City, or We Fix Space Junk; this one's for you! Go listen! Go pay into the Patreon! I need it. There's a pain in my feed where this podcast belongs!

Audio Drama Hub Podfest 2022
For lovers of audio drama and audio fiction, whether listening to it or creating it, the organisers of the Audio Drama Hub are hosting their first Podfest in High Wycombe on the 19th and 20th November 2022.
I'll be appearing in two live shows next weekend on Sunday 20th Nov!
First up is Cyclone from @audiblevisionsdrama where I shall be playing the ruthless Officer Cannes in a special prequel script.
Next is a complete change of tone, as I play a selection of characters in the comedy Inspector Murder Inspects...
Join the cast from Unbound Theatre following the hilarious and hapless adventures of Victorian London's infamous detective (no, not him). Now in Season 3, we'll be performing a favourite script of mine from Season 1, with the case of a missing tiara...
The whole weekend of #ADHPodfest2022 features panels and workshops for those who love audio drama or want to learn more about creating it.
You can see other live shows, including @roguemaker, meet some of the folks behind @thekilda, @wefixspacejunk, and David Devereux from @tincanaudio will be giving a talk on editing audio fiction.
Tickets can be found here:
