- Puppy Love by jhoom, 4791 words During a hunt, Dean gets turned into a dog. Only a personal revelation can return him to his human form, but what could Dean's revelation possibly be? warnings: none i guess, a little sad, a little angsty my comment: i loved it i loved it i loved it!

- therapy by rubyjean_jacket, 5,279 words "It's how normal people deal, Dean." Alternate version to 13x04, The Big Empty. warnings: John Winchester's A+ Parenting, Therapy, Still sad though my comment: basically the fic that brought me back to reading again. it made me concentrate on something. angsty and good, exactly how i like it.

- Six Feet Deep  by MaggieMaybe160, 1,976 words John Winchester is trying to prepare his boys for the worst by teaching them how to climb out of graves. warnings: Buried Alive, John Winchester's A+ Parenting, Abusive John Winchester, Child Abuse, Angst my comment: i loved this. i cried, not gonna lie. john is pure evil and dean has to live with him. good god this was sad and painful.

Sam and Dean, left behind in Nowheresville, finally admit that maybe he's not coming back. It's easier to stay put than move on, and it'd be good for Sam not to get uprooted from yet another school, so Dean gets a job, makes a legit wage, and they have the first taste of normal either of them can remember. Normal isn't easy, though. Dean can't unsee the signs of monsters in the local paper, and minimum wage doesn't stretch as far as he would like. Dean needed someone to lie. warnings: aftermath of torture, angst, s12 au my comment: dean saves cas and they are sad but then they find hope in each other. go read it.
