Water doesn't get along with Tango and Jimmy, with Tango being a Netherborn and Jimmy having wings and all. Thankfully, Scott has ice powers and can simply freeze the rain for his boyfriends if they need it.
After Scott nearly passed out because he was determined to stop any water touching his boyfriends, Jimmy thinks to point out Scott could just... Freeze an umbrella for them instead. That way he doesn't have to use his powers continuously!
Maybe they should have figured that out before...

SERIES MASTERLIST
Gilded Constellations | (wolfstar x reader)
Summary: You meet Sirius and Regulus at a family vacation in the Caribbean, but things don't go as planned and you end up losing contact once the trip is over. Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally meet Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. Mostly canon-compliant. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.

A/N: Most Poly!Marauders fics are oneshots, where the relationship between characters is already established, and they're all happy and pleased with it. No issues, no drama, but I WANTED the drama. Couldn't find it, so I set myself up to write the story behind the stablished relationship. I wanted to know how they started dating each other, the jealousy, the will they won't they, because getting into a poly relationship can't be an easy task, and I wanted to explore that story. If you're interested: Welcome to Gilded Constellations!

Chapter one.
summary: vincent renzi x fem!reader.
A young law student is navigating her last year in university, where she meets a misteryous french professor that is going to help her getting her thesis done. A strong chemistry and a love for books and hard work it's what gets them to work so well with each other. But how much are they going to resist when temptation arrives?
warnings: age gap (legal ofc) he's 43 and she's 26. Other that that, none (yet).
London. 8 am and a room full of people on a rainy day. Cold fingers on the desk, waiting for something to happen.
I looked over and the clock was still; maybe it was broken or maybe the time was way too slow in the morning. Even for me.
Today it was the last-first day i was going to have on that university. Five long years studying law, yet it felt like i was still a stranger in that big, cold classroom.
I was, finally, going to get my thesis done. No more wasting time, no more fear. I had to be strong.
How difficult could it be?
The world with its unique, hidden irony seemed to have answered my question when, all of a sudden, he walked through that old, wooden door.
Mature, maybe in his early forties. Tall but not too much; quite skinny. Long neck and serious countenance. Silver hair, some strands fell on his forehead as he walked across the room until he reached his desk. His polished clothes didn't look wet even though it was raining, and even for me to be so far away from him i could, somehow, sense that he smelled like cigarrettes and old fashioned, classic cologne.
Professor Vincent Renzi was his name.
He came from France. He said that he had recently won a case in the city, and that a colleague of his needed him to replace him for a few months at the university. A two-hour weekly class and, most importantly,
he was in charge of correcting some of the theses.
I hesitated the rest of the class, unsure of what was going to happen. Would he be easy on me? or would he be an idiot? After all, all male professors in law school seemed to treat women like they were not smart enough to be there. Or worse, like they fucked their way to the top.
Suddenly my feet stepped on earth again when i felt a deep voice making, in a strong french accent, a question that no one dared to answer.
"So, has anyone already started working on their thesis?"
Silence.
Then, for inertia or maybe an obscure, unconscious desire to be seen by his blue eyes i raised my hand.
He smiled at me; perhaps relieved that he hadn't been ignored. Little wrinkles formed on each side of his mouth as he spoke:
"Great, at least someone is doing their job. Now, enlighten me, please".
........................................
I tried to leave as soon as the class ended.
Maybe it was the shame, the blushed cheeks as i explained to him the central themes of the thesis. For the first time, i felt like my tongue wasn't mine as the words kept coming out of my mouth, but i felt grateful for that.
However, due to how far away i was from the exit, i was the last one to leave. I slid between each seat until i reached the door where, luckily for me, he was standing, waiting.
"That was good. Very good actually". He said as he reached out for a pack of cigarettes between his pockets.
I stuttered.
"Well, thank you. There's still some issues i need to fix, you know. References and stuff". I tried, without luck, to sound as calm as possible.
"That's why im here". He said, staid but in a soft tone.
As he left the building and got into his car, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear and lighting a cigarette, i couldn't help but wonder
what the hell was i getting into.
next chapter soon

It was during the summer of 1892 — the year when they finally graduated from Hogwarts.
She never expected to be given the privilege of spending the summer after her 7th year with Garreth. It was undoubtedly what she truly needed: an opportunity to escape from the utter chaos of the life she has within her own family home in London: specifically her father's seething wrath after that stunt she had pulled, which almost destroyed their own family’s stellar reputation within the wizarding world's pureblood society.
Family drama aside, not only was it the perfect time for her to rest and recuperate, but it was also the chance for her to contemplate the future now that she has broken free from the shackles of her responsibility as an heiress (temporarily, that is). Perhaps in the midst of it all, she could also make amends for her past wrongdoings.
Oh, but [what on Earth can atone for all the wrong things that she had done]?
It wasn’t an easy task, to say the least, for the blood that was spilled on her hands all in the name of the greater good has long stained her psyche. There was an insurmountable amount of filth that resides within her as the vessel of accumulated pain, and all she could do was endure the ordeal. The moment she had made that dire decision in the repository during her 5th year, she was doomed to a life of loneliness, but all of that changed during her 7th year when the threads of her own fate were intertwined with his.
She never would've expected that Garreth Weasley out of all people would serve as the beacon that would lead her back to all that had been long forgotten — her own happiness.
Truth be told, she wasn't the most forthcoming with the notion of romance in general due to her unsavory experiences and personal issues, opting to steer clear of the entire topic in general. In fact, she was better off alone, but for some miraculous reason, the fiery-haired male had managed to creep into her heart, taking his rightful seat on its long-abandoned throne. It was truly a mysterious outcome, for nobody would've foreseen the unusual relationship to even happen, much less prosper.
A Slytherin and a Gryffindor; the celebrated hero and an aspiring potioneer. They were like day and night; the sun and the moon — ever so different, yet fell in love too soon. Perhaps the irony of it all was what truly brought the both of them together, regardless of all their atrocities, differences, and follies combined.
But even the greatest of love stories always had their own fair share of trials and tribulations, and the silly, dramatic little tale of her and Garreth weren't an exception. She remembered it all vividly: the times when she'd discourage him from pursuing her, only for her to fall harder and harder for him in the end.
“You'll never know peace a day in your life once you decide to be with me, Weasley.”
“I'm not good for anyone, lest you want a head full of gray hairs before you reach the age of forty.”
“You're better off without me, I assure you.”
“Garreth, please don't. I'll ruin your life.”
Yet her words, no matter how grim, threatening, or incessant, would always be met with his adorably goofy little grin along with the same simple reply that held the undying promise of his devotion and loyalty.
“I know.”
If only things were that simple.
From this moment onwards, ["I know" is never good enough] — not when she's aware of the dire consequences that would soon follow should she decide to pursue the yearnings of her poor, naïve heart. It was too huge a risk to gamble the life of the man who had brought her solace and joy amidst the pandemonium that rages within her blackened soul, for he was all she had left — the only person who would never treat her as a pawn across the chessboard; her most trusted confidant, companion, and lover: her chosen family.
The musical incantation of Vulnera Sanentur from his Aunt Matilda's lips was all that she heard whilst she silently wallowed in her own thoughts of self-blame, her eyes darting around the damaged parts of their humble abode out of pure guilt. She glances at Garreth's father, who winces as several hands aided him to sit more comfortably on the sofa. His younger sister and older cousins scampered around to repair the several damages within the house whilst checking up on the others after the incident.
It was an ambush by dark wizards: the ones who sought to covet the corrupted power within her. Despite her not being a family member of the Weasleys, they fought gallantly alongside her, defending her as if she was one of their own. Although they are well capable of empathizing and understanding her prior violent display of magic within the heat of battle, it did not quell the bubbling shame that stews within her being.
It was almost the norm for her to be targeted by the enemies that she had made in her past battles, but to be attacked while she was in Garreth's family home? To put the Weasleys in danger? Preposterous. Utterly preposterous. She'd never forgive her enemies for it. Hell, she'd never forgive herself for it either.
The warmth of Garreth's palm on her arm startled her from her train of thought whilst she was in the middle of repairing the broken walls, offering her a kiss on her forehead the moment her head turned.
“Garreth…” her voice, uncharacteristically small and hesitant, trails off while he cups her cheek, tracing his thumb over her delicate face as a form of reassurance.
“It’s not your fault, so please don’t think about it too much, alright? We’ll handle it from here,” he reassures.
Despite her evident disagreement with her fiancé's words, she bit her tongue, not wishing to add any more fuel to the fire. She gave the Weasleys one final glance as she headed to the kitchen to help his mother prepare their dinner for tonight while the others focused on either healing their mild injuries or fixing the damages within their house.
The Weasleys were a beautiful family. It was the ideal family that she would truly love to be a part of in a heartbeat: they were kind-hearted, selfless, and honorable, never swayed by the adversaries that came their way. It was for this very reason that she decided to protect them with all that she has, and she would never allow a single soul to harm even the hairs on their head even if it means that she has to bring herself out of the picture in the end.
Thus, she has made her final decision.
[She's only safe when she's alone], just as they'd be a whole lot safer without her presence. She could easily slaughter anyone who stood in her way without fear of disappointing anyone with her ruthlessness, and none of her loved ones would be used as ammunition to make her submit to her enemies’ bidding. This painful choice was truly for the best — such as the fate of all fallen “heroes” who walk a lonely, dark path.
Yet despite all the danger he'd have to face and the sought-after coalesced filth of humanity that literally resides within her, her departure was Garreth’s greatest fear.
It was on the same day of the incident that he received the heartbreaking news in the middle of that particular rainy night. His sister was about to pay her a visit for their usual heart-to-heart session, only to find out that she was no longer in their home.
“Gone? What do you mean she’s gone?!” he bellowed, fear lacing his voice as he sped towards the guest room with soft footsteps trailing after him.
“Garreth, I'm sorry. I went to her room and—”
Not giving his younger sister a chance to finish, Garreth barged into the guest room with evident panic, only for his heart to sink at the sight of a room that was entirely bare of her belongings except for a note that she had hurriedly scrawled before she left.
I'm sorry. I love you.
Garreth quickly ran down the flight of stairs and straight to the exit of their home. The shouts and cries of his name fell on deaf ears as he bolted out of the house, racing into the chilly night with a million panicked thoughts buzzing unpleasantly within his head as raindrops drizzled upon his form.
[She had his heart, and he could only hope that she wouldn't hurt him] permanently with one measly written goodbye. He was angry and dismayed with her drastic decisions that lacked his consultation, but he simply couldn't allow all that they'd built to just disintegrate in a blink of an eye. She was, after all, his dearly beloved — the person he'd give his all without a second thought.
As soon as the thunder rumbled, he hurriedly took out the piece of parchment that she had left, casting a tracking charm with his wand. The piece of paper immediately bursts forward, leaving a trail of glittering golden dust for him to follow before the increasingly damp piece of parchment falls to the ground. The spell worked, and it only meant that she hadn't wandered off too far.
He knew exactly where she was from where the trail was heading. With the location clearly visualized within his mind, he apparates to their usual spot, hoping that she was still within the particular vicinity.
Needless to say, he was right.
There she stood in front of the tree where they often frequented for their usual picnics — the place where it's usually just the two of them, gazing upon the meadows of the countryside whilst enjoying the summer breeze. She looks upon the ring that was on her left hand, admiring the ruby and two small diamonds that glimmered under the moonlight. With great reluctance, she attempts to slide her engagement ring off, intending to keep it within their box of little keepsakes before she leaves, which was contained within the tree's hollow.
Amidst the soothing pitter-patter of raindrops, the sound of an audible crack was soon heard from a distance followed by several thuds of footsteps, effectively stopping her. She whips her head in the direction of the sudden noise, only for her eyes to meet a pair of emerald-green orbs.
[Sometimes, she forgets that she was his] — he'd always find her wherever she may be simply because he knew her that well. She should've expected that he'd figure out her whereabouts within minutes after she had left the Weasley family home. He was, after all, her dearly beloved — the keeper of her heart; the one who knows her better than herself.
“Blast, I shouldn't have loitered around…” she thought ruefully as she faced him completely, a shaky breath escaping her lips as she braced herself for an earful. Instead, he runs towards her with a relieved expression, pulling her into his embrace before kissing her fervently.
As if it were right on cue, the rain began to pour harder, just like those dramatic little romance novels written by Muggle authors. His touch, although scorching against her cold, damp skin, brought relief to her mind, body, and soul.
It was only he could bring her such solace, nobody else.
As soon as his lips parted from hers, he grabbed her bag nearby before turning to her direction once again with a tired sigh. Before she could retaliate, he swung his arm around her, engulfing her in his arms before apparating back to his home — specifically into the living room, where the rest of the family was awaiting their return. A blush crept up to her cheeks upon feeling their eyes on her and Garreth, who held her by her waist. The both of them were soaked to the bone with their clothes and strands of their hair clinging uncomfortably onto their skin.
Wordlessly, Garreth set her bag on the ground before flicking the tip of his wand at both of them, casting a drying spell before making his way to the kitchen. She winced at his deathly silence, while the others glanced at each other with an evident grimace as well.
“... Alright, you lot! Off to bed, we go. Come along now!” his mother urges, pushing the other family members right towards the staircase, much to his younger sister's and cousins' chagrin.
“But mum—!”
“Shhh!”
She received several apologetic looks and pats of good luck from his cousins, for she was obviously going to need it. Garreth was upset — abysmally upset to be precise. It was a rare occurrence, but whenever it happens, it was a painful punch to the gut.
Silence looms over the living room, the thumping of footsteps dying out as they scamper to their bedrooms, leaving her and Garreth alone on the first floor of their home.
“Garreth…”
Silence.
“Garreth, please say something?” she pleads, all to no avail. He remains tight-lipped, averting his gaze from her as he grabs the nearby teapot to pour each of them a cup of tea.
She hated it when he was like this, but his reticence was definitely warranted. She sighs in defeat, finally deciding to stop beating about the bush.
“... The attack from earlier—”
“—Was, again, not your fault. And you ran away because you didn't want any of us to get hurt. I know that,” he cuts her off bitterly before he sips his cup of tea in hopes of calming himself down.
“Then you're aware of the dangers, Garreth. You've seen what they're capable of. You've experienced it for yourself.”
“Yes. So?”
“So why did you bring me back? You know that chaos ensues whenever I'm around, and it's never the good kind.”
“Really, now? Seems like a pretty peaceful night to me until you decided to leave,” he sarcastically snapped, much to her exasperation.
“Garreth, for god's sake—”
He slams his cup on the countertop, nearly shattering the object. His frown deepened, finally looking at her with a glare.
“A note with no explanations? Sneaking out right under my nose? Is that how trivial our relationship is to you?” he asks with a tone mixed with anger and hurt. She visibly pales at this, panic evident within her eyes that he would even think of such a thing.
“Garreth that's not—”
“—what you meant? Oh, believe me, I know. But it certainly feels that way and it's really upsetting. I'm not mad though. I could never be mad at you, but I'm sick and tired of you pushing me away at every bloody inconvenience!”
“I'm doing this for your sake! As long as I'm around, you and your family will always be—”
“I didn't ask you to play hero for us!”
“So you'd rather thoughtlessly sacrifice everyone else just to keep me around?!”
“YOU'RE MY FIANCEE FOR GODRIC'S SAKE!”
She was stunned into silence by his raging outburst, all retaliations within her head immediately disappearing as he ran his mouth, pouring out every single trace of frustration that had accumulated within his chest.
“Don't you know you're just as important as everyone else in here?! I know what I signed up for — mum knows, dad knows, my little sister knows, every single relative knows! You're already a part of this family at this point!” he continues exasperatedly, running his fingers through his hair out of sheer agitation. “Gods, you’re always like this! I hate that you feel the need to constantly tell me I shouldn’t be with you! I’m still here, aren’t I? Is that not enough for you?!”
She looks away, letting out a shaky exhale while she clenches her fists, her eyes becoming glassy with tears. His heart was thumping loudly, his chest heaving as his emotional hurt slowly descended from its peak. His glare soon faltered the moment he realized the aggression of his words, his fiery anger slowly dissipating as he stared at her with guilt simmering within his gut. Her eyes were downcast while she chewed on her lip, desperately keeping her emotions under wraps while placing her arms gingerly around herself to soothe her nerves.
With an aggravated sigh, he gently pulled her into a warm embrace. She whimpers at his display of tenderness despite the prior exchange of heated words, finally letting her tears run free as she wraps her arms around his waist, a string of apologies pouring out from her lips. He pressed his lips at the side of her head before parting from her as he cupped her face with both of his hands.
“Darling, listen to me. Look at me.”
She acquiesced, her bleary sight slowly trailing up to meet his verdant-hued eyes, which gazed upon her with pure love and adoration despite his recent display of anger.
“I know I may not be the best man for you, but you best believe that I'll do whatever I can to keep you safe. When I swore to you that I'll accompany you to the ends of the earth, I meant every single word,” he whispers with heartfelt sincerity, wiping a stray tear away with his thumb. “But all I ask of you is to please have a bit of faith in me; in us — that we’ll manage all of this just fine. Please, I love you too much to let you go...”
“But… Your family…” she meekly sobs.
“Then we'll live alone together, just the two of us.”
“But what about you?”
“Then I'll be stronger for you! Hell, I'll beg Sallow to teach me how to duel better if I have to so please…” he begs, his voice cracking.
“Don't ever leave again. Stay with me until the very end.”
At that moment, she finally caves into her heart's desire, standing on her tiptoes to urgently plant her lips on his without hesitation while his hand flew to the small of her back, the other placing itself at the back of her head to press her further into him. After what seemed like an eternity, they finally parted, gazing at each other's eyes with a smile of relief etched onto their faces. A surprised yelp escaped her lips as he scoops her up into a bridal carry, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck.
“Well then, now that's done and settled, let's get you to bed, shall we?” he grins, his anger completely appeased by her response.
“At least let me bring my bag upstairs first, love. I need my clothes,” she laughs.
“Clothes? For what?”
“...To change in?”
“Oh, trust me. You won't be needing them tonight,” his voice drops into a teasing whisper.
Her eyes widened, warmth creeping to her cheeks at his insinuation. He chuckled at her reaction, planting a kiss on her cheek before heading upstairs with her in his arms. The tense aura that loomed over the entire building was now completely gone, her soft giggles of sheer elation filling the halls before a peaceful silence ensued the moment the door to her room was closed shut.
Like the moon and stars that reside in the night skies, this was where she truly belongs — right in the arms of her dearly beloved; her most cherished abode.

The last thing Caleb expects to hear on a rainy Tuesday evening is the sound of a knock at his door and Verin Thelyss, Ambassador of the Bright Queen to the Dwendalian Empire, on his doorstep. But he should have expected it. After all, Essek had already prepared for this eventuality.
Reccer says: I love this glimpse of Verin, and Caleb being able to explain his relationship to Essek's brother.
What Makes a Home? by literalfuckinggarbage (3188,General) Warnings: Child abuse, abusive parenting Pairings: Beau & TJ
TJ turns up on Beau's doorstep after running away from Kamordah. Beau takes care of her little brother.
Reccer says: It's really lovely seeing an older Beau step up to being an older sister and the relationship between her and TJ is incredibly sweet. They have a rapport, they banter, and the love that's grown between them over the years is plain in each word between them. The ending is so wonderful too and it's a concept I really should rotate more.

Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the Week Ending October 5th, 2024
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the week ending October 5th, 2024. A little quieter this week than the last couple, at least in terms of things worth paying attention to. Plenty of garbage, but I don't feel like giving any of that oxygen. Still, any week with a new Q-Games release is one worth writing about. Let's check out this week in the world of Switch!
Select New Releases
Sword Art Online Fractured Dream ($59.99)
This is an action game that is mainly designed for online play, where up to twenty players are supported. It features a whole bunch of Sword Art Online characters, and the buzz from people who played the game via Steam Early Access is solid. Provided this Switch port has been handled well and the community is there for it, this could be a fun diversion. Those are some big provisos, though.
All You Need is Help ($19.99)
Okay, so first up and very importantly: this game is four players only. You can play local multiplayer, or you can play online multiplayer. But if you don't have four, you don't play. No single-player. None. Anyway, each player controls a different fluffy puzzle piece, and you have to work together to solve each stage. It's from Q-Games, so you can count on a certain degree of quality here. If you have the people to play it with, I'm sure you'll have a good time.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game ($39.99)
Another effort from Outright Games, specifically the team behind the rather good Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. This appears to be a Patrick Star-flavored take on Human: Fall Flat, and if that's the case then I suspect SpongeBob fans are going to have a really good time with it. You've got an open world to play around in, and plenty of activities to do in it. What's the main goal? I have no idea. We'll have to see how this one plays out.
I*CHU: Chibi Edition ($29.99)
If you want to play this particular free-to-play mobile game at a premium price with the money squeeze removed, here you go. It's a rhythm game with some story bits in between the action, focused around an academy for idols in training. Unfortunately, with the gatcha-dependent progression and rather spotty localization, this isn't an overly pleasant experience. You get all of the grind, you just can't buy your way through it. I imagine this might appeal to fans of the mobile game anyway.
Picross Records of The Shield Hero ($10.99)
Another Picross game, this time themed around the manga/anime Rise of the Shield Hero. An episode mode has been implemented here to tell some of the story as you solve puzzles. You get a bit over two hundred puzzles in total, all related to Shield Hero in some form or another. More Picross for those who need it, or those who are piling up Picross games for a rainy day.
Skautfold: Into the Fray ($14.99)
Here's a third game in the Skautfold series ported to the Nintendo Switch. This one is a top-down action game with plenty of gore and lot of ways to dispatch your foes. While it's not exactly the same kind of game as the previous ones (or the ones that will follow it should the whole series get ported), I'm sure if you enjoyed those you won't have a bad time of it here.
Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel ($5.99)
So, first up: despite that screenshot, Zero's sprite hasn't been edited in the actual game. He is still sporting the rising sun headband, and the symbol is all over the place. I'll leave it to you as to how you feel about that. As for the game, this is the Aero the Acro-Bat spin-off featuring Aero's rival Zero, and it's a very challenging game thanks to its reliance on the player mastering Zero's rather unusual move set. It's in that nicer emulation wrapper that Aero 2 released in, so that's good. For those wondering, this is also the Super NES version of the game. I'll review it soon.
Kill Knight ($14.99)
If you're hunting for your next great isometric twin-stick shooter fix, Kill Knight is a good choice. It's a tough game and it has a lot of interlocking systems that you'll have to learn before you'll make any progress, but if you stick with it I think you'll find that this is a rather rewarding game.
Circus of TimTim ($9.99)
Another horror game that relies on people being creeped out by mascots, this time with an added circus twist for that clown phobia spice. Explore a ruined carnival and watch out for things who won't be kind to unwelcome visitors. Use a metal detector to find items, but be careful as its beeping will attract attention. Not my kind of thing. Maybe yours.
Planetiles ($12.99)
Another one of those games where you place tiles strategically in a landscape to try to produce the best results, this time planet-themed. I've been into this kind of thing since around a year ago, and this is another solid one. I wouldn't recommend it over Dorfromantik or anything, but if you're looking for another game that offers a similar experience then you might want to check this out.
Macho Shot ($5.00)
This new SAT-BOX release is essentially another spin on the ol' Suika Game concept, but with macho dudes instead of fruit. Merge your machos into bigger machos, but be careful not to overflow the field. Nothing new under the Sun, but the choice of theme was so odd I had to include it here.
Dawngrown ($5.99)
Is this top-down 2D PowerWash? Not really, but it is a game about cleaning up a messed-up world. It's cute, it takes about an hour and change to run through, and while the whole thing feels like it could have used a little more everything, it's an amusing enough ride while it lasts.
Arcade Archives Moon Shuttle ($7.99)
Nichibutsu scored its first big hit in 1980 with Moon Cresta, and for a good while after that it was all about the Moon. Here's 1981's Moon Shuttle, a very simple side-view shooter. I can't call it side-scrolling, because it doesn't. You alternate between two types of stages. The first sees you trying to shoot a path through a field of debris as your shuttle approaches. The second has you fending of waves of enemy attackers while dodging their attacks. Nothing special, but for its era it does its job. Not available in the North American eShops, for some reason.
EGGCONSOLE Silver Ghost PC-8801mkIISR ($6.49)
Yes, I'm still imagining the world where D4 Enterprise puts the extra resources into localizing all of these amazing Japanese computer classics it's tossing out onto the global eShop. Silver Ghost is a beloved strategy RPG for many Japanese gaming enthusiasts, and has been cited by one of the Shining series creators as a source of inspiration for those games. It would be really nice if fans outside of Japan could more easily enjoy this, but you're again dealing with a lot of Japanese text if you choose to tackle it.
Damikira ($7.99)
Sure, this is a pretty standard-looking run and gun platforming game, but it has a grappling hook! A grappling hook! The rules say that grappling hooks and/or web-shooters add an extra point to a game's score. That's a rule. That probably brings this up to a good three-and-a-half out of five.
Rolling Football Player ($3.20)
This is a goofy little thing. You have to roll your football player through five stages, trying to land him in a cup. It's a very short game, but it's more of a weird physics toy than anything else. For the price, that's probably fine.
That's all for this week, friends. We'll be back next Saturday with another Round-Up as we continue into October and the many games that will come with it. As ever, I will plug both my Patreon (where you can find lots of cool exclusive articles) and my Ko-Fi (tips help me run this blog). There, plugged. I hope you have a super Saturday, and as always, thanks for reading!

Girls Like Girls
Written By: Lily-May Young, Owen Thomas & Hayley Kiyoko
Artist: Hayley Kiyoko
Released: 2015
“Girls Like Girls” tells the story of a young girl actively looking to start relationships with girls currently involved with boys. In an interview with US Weekly, Hayley described the song as a “female anthem for a girl stealing another guy’s girl”, subverting the common theme of “guys always.. stealing other guys’ girls”. According to Hayley in an interview with Elite Daily, she didn’t have any artist that she could relate to when she was growing up, and so, she decided to tell her own stories. Kiyoko describes “Girls like Girls” as a story that she believes others can relate to: “There’s not a lot of representation for young girls who are best friends who might fall in love. A big point for me was to respect that and keep it real, so people can realize it’s not just a joke.” In a personal essay written by Kiyoko for Paper, she said that “Girls Like Girls” was born on a rainy day where she had a writing session with Owen Thomas and Lily May Young. “Growing up, everything I did was always about girls. I took dance because of girls. I got involved in student council because of girls. Not that I ever expected any of them to like me back, but I just felt comforted being around them, even if I could never date them. So there we were. The song “Girls like Girls” was born."
[Intro] (Boys) (Boys) Boys, (Boys) (Boys) [Verse 1] Stealing kisses from your missus Does it make you freak out? Got you fussing, got you worried Scared to let your guard down Boys, boys Tell the neighbors I'm not sorry if I'm breaking walls down Building your girl's second story, ripping all your floors out [Chorus] Saw your face, heard your name, gotta get with you Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new Isn't this why we came? Gotta get with you Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new [Verse 2] Always gonna steal your thunder Watch me like a dark cloud On the move collecting numbers I'ma take your girl out We will be everything that we'd ever need Don't tell me, tell me what I feel I'm real and I don't feel like boys I'm real and I don't feel like boys [Chorus] Saw your face, heard your name, gotta get with you Girls like girls like boys do, nothing new Isn't this why we came? Gotta get with you Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new [Bridge] I've been crossing all the lines, all the lines Kissed your girl back made you cry, boys [Chorus] Saw your face, heard your name, gotta get with you Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new Isn't this why we came? Tell me if you feel it too! Tell me, girls like girls like boys do, nothing new Girls like girls like boys do, nothing new

At Last
Written By: Henry Warren & Mack Gordon
Artist: Etta James
Released: 1960
Originally recorded by: Glenn Miller and His Orchestra feat. Pat Friday & John Payne, 1941
A song originally written in 1941 by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren and originally performed by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra for the 1941 movie Sun Valley Serenade, this ballad found its greatest success in the hands of the late Etta James in this 1960 recording. The tune became James' signature song. The song is featured on several “best of” lists, including inclusion in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry and induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
[Verse 1] At last My love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song (Oh, yeah, yeah) [Verse 2] At last The skies above are blue My heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you [Bridge] I found a dream that I could speak to A dream that I can call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I've never known (Oh, yeah, yeah) [Verse 3] You smiled, you smiled Oh, and then the spell was cast And here we are in heaven For you are mine at last

Lost and Found
By Lydia
All of the following items have been brought to The Overseer staff’s office for safekeeping until they are claimed. If you recognize one of these items as yours, please visit us to receive your items, or contact us at [email protected]. Lost items will be sent to Twinkly Trash if not picked up after two weeks. Thank you! *Not a real email address.
Item 1: Eight discarded journals Each of these journals appear to have been written by a member of a group chasing down a series of mobs, including a Warden, an Ender Dragon, a group of Polar Bears, and six dolphins. The journals delve into the interpersonal drama of the group, noting an authority system similar to the television show Survivor on multiple occasions. The staff has been treating these journals as their own personal source of entertainment, as if they are sitting on the couch watching a soap opera at home and eating buttery popcorn.
Item 2: A CD-ROM of an old video game This video game is labeled Star Catcher 2600 and took the staff a day and a half to acquire a device with a disc drive. With help from stragglers around Etho’s base, they were able to see their curiosity realized with this point and click adventure game. The plot of the game, according to our staff members, involves a hapless, eclectic group of spacefarers attempting to stop several stars from exploding. Despite its blatant scientific inaccuracies, the staff has noted that the game’s 1990s neon-themed aesthetic choices and campy dialogue has made the endeavor of searching for a disk drive worth it.
Item 3: The memoir of a deceased singer This memoir, titled Unremarkable In Hindsight, details the life of Oliver Ophelia Vidi, a secondary member of a boy band from the early 2010s. The cover shows a pale, curly-haired teenager with a nose ring and pointed ears. The singer, who describes himself as less than talented but valued for his photogenic cherubic face, holds great disdain for himself and all of his band members, noting that the bubblegum pop they created could not hold a candle up to other singing groups within the genre that happened to skyrocket at the right moment. Oliver notes a hardy grudge he held against the lead of the band, who seemed to revel in the spotlight of being a teenage idol, because Oliver believed that the band was composed of complete hacks who saw a way to make a quick buck after being featured on an MTV reality show. Oliver also notes that his own taste in music was so diametrically opposed to the group’s own that the songs they performed made him want to fly into a rage on multiple occasions. One of his greatest gripes with the group is that they all “Absolutely refused to learn how to play any musical instruments. It is as if they were allergic to even touching one.” He details the agony of having his middle name revealed to the world in a joke told by one of the older members of the band who was six years his senior and saw the others as immature by comparison. A few months after his memoir was written, Oliver died during a confrontation during a hiking trip, having been stabbed with a knife by his traveling companion.
Item 4: An EMDR Manual and a notebook This book was found near one of Pearl’s alien trees, seemingly recently bought. The manual describes in great detail the preparation, processing, and evaluation of the practice, as well as a collection of studies in which examples of the practice are given. Words of caution litter the manual, and it is heavily emphasized that the practice should not be taken lightly nor performed by someone who is not professionally trained. A dark blue quill was found in a notebook next to the manual, filled to the brim with notes written in small and practically illegible cursive. A note was found inside of the book requiring the manual and notebook be turned in to The Overseer office as promptly as possible if ever lost so that they may pick it up, and for the staff not to add any notes to the notebook’s blank pages. The staff, while happy to keep the book in safekeeping, has not followed these instructions and has doodled a clowder of cats on the first blank page they found.
Item 5: A box of LEGO blocks This box of LEGO blocks was found in one of the Scarland hotels, though they all appear to have been glued together in a strange amalgamation resembling a modern art abstract sculpture. The blocks are all sizes and colors, and the staff has noted that they would not be surprised if an inebriated person had assembled all of them in this strange array during a vacation, though the staff did note that they enjoy the sculpture and will likely keep it for themselves if no one would like to claim in.
Item 6: Four Jack-O’Lanterns These pumpkins are quite large and have all been carved to carry faces on all sides resembling a cluster of Hermits making different expressions. The faces include those of Cleo, Zedaph, Tango Tek, Scar, Cubfan, Gem, Iskall, and xBCrafted. They have also all been donned witch hats that appear to have been bought from a costume shop. The staff has placed them all around the office in preparation for Halloween.

Rainy days and Hybrids don't always mix well. You have some like Ren who will do anything to get to go play in the storms until the first bit of thunder chases him into the closest base to demand cuddles. Others like Grian and Pearl can't stand for their wings to get sodden and heavier than their actual body weight.
What they all agree on is that making sad eyes as Xisuma until they're given hot chocolate and warm towels is the best part of the rare Hermitcraft storm.
The hermits all need to help towel down and wet hybrids. It's impressive how much room they can take up when they're big and puffy! Something Grian takes full advantage of - if he's gonna be wet, then he's gonna be a problem about it. A problem very easily deterred by kisses.

Weekly comic reviews N°1
The book tour, by Andi Watson
Published First in 2019
This book came in to my possession almost by chance. I had some money to spare this month and wanted to spend it on a graphic novel (living lavish, i know) this one, out of all the other ones in the book store that day, looked most appealing to me after a quick sift through the pages. Its fitting then, that the book is all about a guy that gets majorly screwed over by circumstance.
The book tour tells the story of G.H Fratwell, a relatively unknown english author who, upon the publication of his latest novel has to now go on a book tour to promote It. The book tour is a colossal disaster from day one, and on top of that he becomes the main suspect of some murders he didnt commit.
The story is almost simple in its structure, with Fratwell going from bookstore to bookstore, and hotel to hotel, and misfortune to misfortune, all without cracking that very British "politely inconvenienced" face.
Its a very kafkaesque tale, not only in its themes and presentation, but with a lot of references peppered in. For example, the title of Fratwells novel -- "No K" is one of many references to The trial, a short story that this book is clearly inspired by. You can see a very heavy kafka influence not only in the plot itself but the tone of the story, finding humour in the absurdities that Fratwell goes through, and in Fratwell himself almost perpetuating some of the things that happen to him by wanting to not inconvenience whoever It was that was making him miserable at the moment. It is a book ultimately about Fratwell and his downward spiral, as he realizes no one around him really cares about him, his book, or wether or not he killed a woman. I wont spoil the ending here, but make sure to be prepared If you like things neatly tied up. The ending DID work for me, and it kind of gets me reflecting upon the work and making me want to read again, which is good!
The art also wraps around the story pretty perfectly, with very simplified designs for every character (especially our main character) and more detailed backgrounds and buildings. It is pretty to look at and delicately drafted, and gave me the feeling that the street itself was swallowing up Fratwell, while providing a lot of character to all of the generic european towns and bookshops he visited. One of my favourite sequences in the novel is the opening one, where we see a character arriving in town through a lot of big wide pannels of cityscape. It reminded me almost of a movie, and in fact the timing displayed throught the whole story is really tight, this being not only pacing, but the pannel-to-pannel and page-to-page timing that really makes you feel those akward situations Fratwell puts himself in, and even the timing of the "jokes" the book has.
Ultimately, while i could write a lot more about the themes and overall message of the story (its pretty dense and would take me at least another re-read), its a light read that one could do in a rainy afternoon. It IS quite derivative of Kafka, but in a way that didnt bother me as someone who didnt really know all the references going in (but might bother someone who does for all i know) id definately reccomend this if you want a real dream-like experience, where in the end you can really chew on the story for a while.
I give It
7 kafkas out of 10.
Thanks for reading and make sure to tune in next week where i will read uhhh another comic.

Creative Days of the Week Chart Ideas for Preschool Education.
Creating engaging and effective Days of the Week chart ideas for preschool learning can be fun and educational preschool activities. These charts help young children learn about the concept of days, order, and routines while improving their cognitive and fine motor skills. Here are some creative ideas to make Days of the Week charts for preschool learning:
1. Visual Days of the Week Chart:
Create a colorful and visually appealing chart with each day of the week written in bold, bright letters. Include corresponding images or stickers that represent activities or events associated with each day. For example, a sun for Sunday, a school bus for Monday, a book for Wednesday, and so on. This visual representation helps preschoolers associate days with specific activities.
2. Interactive Velcro Chart:
Make an interactive chart using Velcro strips or circles. Write the days of the week on separate cards and attach Velcro to both the chart and the cards. Preschoolers can stick the correct day in order each morning, promoting hands-on learning and daily routine recognition.
3. Felt Days of the Week Chart:
Create a Days of the Week chart using felt fabric. Cut out felt squares for each day and write the names on them. Add a felt background, and preschoolers can rearrange the days as part of a daily activity. This tactile approach enhances sensory learning.
4. Song and Dance Chart:
Design a chart with the days of the week and pair it with a catchy song about the days. Each day, sing the song and have preschoolers dance, clap, or jump to the rhythm. Incorporating movement helps reinforce learning and makes it more enjoyable.
5. Nature-Themed Chart:
Develop a nature-themed chart by associating each day with a particular element of nature. Use images of the sun, moon, clouds, raindrops, leaves, and more. Discuss the weather or natural events linked to each day to expand their understanding of the world around them.
6. Storybook Days Chart:
Select a popular children's book for each day of the week and create a chart featuring the book covers. Read one book each day and discuss the story. This encourages a love for reading and connects days with exciting stories.
7. Daily Routine Chart:
Design a chart that outlines the daily routine of a preschooler. Include waking up, breakfast, school time, playtime, and bedtime. Use images or drawings to represent each activity. This helps children comprehend their daily schedule.
8. Weather Forecast Chart:
Combine learning about days with weather by creating a weather forecast chart. Assign each day to a different weather condition like sunny, rainy, cloudy, or snowy. Incorporate weather-appropriate clothing and activities.
9. Seasons Chart:
Connect the days of the week to the seasons. Use images or symbols representing each season (e.g., sun for summer, snowflake for winter). Discuss the characteristics and changes associated with each season.
10. Magnetic Days of the Week:
Turn your refrigerator into a learning tool by using magnetic days of the week. Place each day in the fridge, and each morning, ask your child to find and place the correct day in order. It's a convenient and engaging way to reinforce learning.
11. Weekly Activity Chart:
Create a chart with each day featuring a specific activity or theme, such as art day, science day, or outdoor play day. Plan activities accordingly, making each day exciting and educational.
12. Personalized Name Chart:
Incorporate the child's name into the Days of the Week chart. Write their name alongside each day to reinforce letter recognition and spelling.
13. Cooking Calendar:
Assign each day to a cooking activity, such as "Muffin Monday" or "Pizza Friday." Cook simple recipes with your child, helping them associate days with cooking adventures.
14. Nature Scavenger Hunt:
Pair each day with a nature-themed scavenger hunt. For instance, "Nature Wednesday" could involve finding and collecting leaves or flowers in the garden.
15. Gratitude Calendar:
Create a gratitude chart with each day dedicated to something your child is grateful for. Encourage them to express gratitude daily, fostering positivity and mindfulness.
By incorporating these creative Days of the Week chart ideas for preschool learning, you can make the process engaging, interactive, and memorable. These activities not only teach the concept of days but also enhance various developmental skills crucial for a child's growth and education.
