“Tiva” is stepping up to the mic.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly — NCIS vets and stars of the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff — are launching a Spotify video podcast titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch.
In each weekly episode of Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, de Pablo and Weatherly will invite a special guest to join them as they rewatch iconic NCIS episodes.
Watch the Off Duty trailer below:
Present and past cast and guest stars making appearances include Sean Murray (who since Season 1, Episode 7 has played Special Agent Tim McGee), Brian Dietzen (Dr. Jimmy Palmer since late Season 1), Sasha Alexander (Special Agent Caitlin Todd in Seasons 1 and 2), Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah (NCIS: Los Angeles‘ Marty Deeks and Special Agent Kensi Blye), Season 13 NCIS guest star Jon Cryer and others, each of whom will join the hosts to reminisce about the long-running and well-watched procedural’s impact on television and pop culture, and reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes moments from making the TV series.
Premiering Tuesday, June 4 (soon!), the Spotify video podcast will also feature recurring and interactive segments that will further connect fans and NCIS loyalists.
Weatherly starred as NCIS‘ Special Agent Tony DiNozzo from the series’ backdoor pilot (as a JAG double episode) through the end of Season 13, and made a surprise cameo in the most recent season’s second episode.
De Pablo played Special Agent Ziva David from Season 3 through 10, surprised viewers with her own cameo in the Season 16 finale, and then appeared in multiple Season 17 episodes.
De Pablo and Weatherly are heading to Budapest this summer to begin filming Paramount+’s Europe-set NCIS: Tony & Ziva series, which finds the title characters “trying to raise their tween daughter and save the world.” John McNamara, whose past TV credits include co-creating Profit  Fastlane and The Magicians, penned the spinoff’s premiere and will serve as showrunner.

Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch is produced by Spotify Studios in partnership with Rabbit Grin Productions, with Jeph Porter and Rob Holysz as executive producers. Natalie Holysz, Kasper Selvig and Derek Johnson also serve as producers.

2. Between Certain Death and a Possible Future – Monday, November 1 at 7:30PM-8:30PM
Featuring: Alexander McClelland, Eddie Walker, Kate Doyle Griffiths, and Ryan Conrad
Hosted by: Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore

An Ottawa Writers Festival event
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Qu’ART and the Ottawa Public Library to celebrate this enthralling and incisive anthology of personal essays on the persistent impact of the AIDS crisis on queer lives.
Every queer person lives with the trauma of AIDS, and this plays out intergenerationally. Usually we hear about two generations – the first, coming of age in the era of gay liberation, and then watching entire circles of friends die of a mysterious illness as the government did nothing to intervene. And now we hear about younger people growing up with effective treatment and prevention available, unable to comprehend the magnitude of the loss. But there is another generation between these two, one that came of age in the midst of the epidemic with the belief that desire intrinsically led to death, and internalized this trauma as part of becoming queer.
Between Certain Death and a Possible Future: Queer Writing on Growing up with the AIDS Crisis offers crucial stories from this missing generation in AIDS literature and cultural politics. This wide-ranging collection includes 36 personal essays on the ongoing and persistent impact of the HIV/AIDS crisis in queer lives. Here you will find an expansive range of perspectives on a specific generational story – essays that explore and explode conventional wisdom, while also providing a necessary bridge between experiences. These essays respond, with eloquence and incisiveness, to the question: How do we reckon with the trauma that continues to this day, and imagine a way out?
3. Disruptions 07: Jeff Kasper on Measures of Support – Wednesday, November 3, 2PM-3PM
Hosted by: Carleton University Art Gallery
Event link: https://cuag.ca/event/disruptions-07-jeff-kasper-on-measures-of-support/
CUAG invites you to join a talk and creative exercises by the NYC-based artist, designer and educator Jeff Kasper. This event is free and everyone is welcome!
This is the seventh event in CUAG’s “Disruptions: Dialogues on Disability Art” series, curated by Michael Orsini to generate dialogue about contemporary art as a force for challenging ableism.
Informed by his ongoing socially engaged projects, Jeff will guide participants through mapping their own networks of support along real, virtual and imagined distances.
This talk is based on his digital workbook “Practicing Distance,” a multi-part guide for preparing for our futures together, post-pandemic.
Thank you Disruptions 07 is generously supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Reesa Greenberg Digital Initiatives Fund, Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School for Studies in Art and Culture, The Pauline Jewett Institute of Women’s and Gender Studies, Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture and the READ Initiative.
Access
This event is held on Zoom. Live captioning and ASL interpretation will be available.
Disability accommodations
Should you have any disability-related requirements, please contact Victoria by 20 October at [email protected].
+Jeff Kasper+ designs pathways for a trauma-informed culture shift by prototyping peer support mechanisms through objects, tools, workshops and social spaces. His current work is deeply informed by queer disability embodiment and over a decade of arts organizing with various cultural institutions, social planning organizations, collectives and both formal and informal spaces of learning. He is Assistant Professor of Integrated Design at University of Massachusetts Amherst.
4. House of PainT Knowledge Conference – November 4 – 7, 10AM-7PM Daily
Hosted by: House of PainT
Festival schedule and info:https://houseofpaint.ca/storyboard/house-of-paint-2021/
Four days of professional development for artists and our communities. Join us for conversations, lectures, presentations, workshops and panel discussions. We’re taking everything you love and doing it online.
House of PainT’s Hip Hop Knowledge Conference is a four day long online conference for hip hop artists and their communities. Artists and administrators address current topics through conversations, presentations, workshops and panel discussions with the goal of sharing knowledge, strengthening the community, and creating sustainable counter-cultural arts practices.
5. Pride, Not Prejudice Craft & Community Fair – November 4 – 7
Schedule: https://pridenotprejudice.ca/schedule
More info: https://pridenotprejudice.ca/
COVID-19, and the necessary social distancing, sucks.
Craft and Community Fairs provide an opportunity for the community to come together. They provide a venue for artists, makers, and creators within those communities to share and sell their works. They provide a crucial space for resource sharing, conversation, and connection. They can serve as an opportunity for inspiration, for revitalization, and for solidarity.
We’re not letting COVID-19 stop that.
Pride, Not Prejudice was conceptualized after learning that Feminist Fair was taking a hiatus for the year due to concerns about COVID-19. This event, organized by the Feminist Twins, has been (and will be!) a truly unique event within the Ottawa community. Focusing on feminist and progressive creators and resources while entwining accessibility and community care – this event stood out as a unique gathering space for likeminded individuals.
Likeminded individuals who might often be labelled “social justice warriors”.
Pride, Not Prejudice is an online craft and community fair that aims to provide as much of this community feel and element as possible in an online format.
Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 5:00pm to Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 6:00pm.
6. From IDF to IJV – Thursday, November 4, 7:30PM
Independent Jewish Voices Canada (IJV) presents an online event featuring the stories of Jewish activists and former soldiers who went from waging war to waging peace.
Join us to hear IJV members reflect on their time serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and what moved them towards a position of support for Palestinian human rights and liberation.

Speakers
Yom Shamash was born in Israel. At the age of 6, his family moved to Brazil. He returned to Israel in 1971 as a member of the Hashomer Hatzair group and settled in Kibbutz Zikim, south of Ashkelon. He served in the IDF in the Nahal brigade and was in the Sinai in the Yom Kippur War. He currently lives in Vancouver, where he is a member of IJV-Vancouver.
Daphna Levit was born in Israel and was an enthusiastic Zionist who served in the army NAHAL corps on the then border with Egypt, until the 1967 Six Day War. She was then recruited to serve in the Military Spokesman Office (Intelligence Corps) as a Press Liaison officer to attend to and escort foreign journalists to sensitive locations. This move was due to her fluency in several languages. One of her jobs was to ensure that the foreign press did not violate the strict censorship rules and did not stray into prohibited danger zones. She accompanied reporters to the Allenby Bridge across which Palestinians fled to Jordan when Israel “conquered” the whole of historical Palestine and expelled about 300,000 Palestinians from their homes. Watching the exodus, the fear and the misery of this flight was what turned Daphna into the peace activist she became. She co-authored an earlier book on the Middle East impelled by the Gaza War of 2008-2009. Her most recent book, Wrestling With Zionism was the culmination of many years as a human rights activist and draws on the diversity of dissent that commenced with the inception of Zionism in the 19th century.
Rafi Silver was born in the US and immigrated to Israel in 1971. He did his mandatory service in the IDF from 1974-76 and was in the reserves until 1996. A former member of a kibbutz and a retired social worker, Rafi immigrated to Canada in 2001 and lives in Montreal. He is an active member of IJV-Montreal, and sits on the national steering committee of IJV Canada.
Moderated by Lia Tarachansky – Lia Tarachansky is an Israeli-Canadian journalist and filmmaker born in the former Soviet Union. She has made short, experimental, and feature films and worked as the Middle East correspondent from Israel/Palestine. Some of her films screened on TV, won awards and toured globally; others died on her hard drives. She’s the Education Director of the Morris Winchevsky School in Toronto, and spends her days filming, designing lesson plans, and reading barely-comprehensible books for her PhD in Media Studies.

8. All Honor to the Mackenzie Papineau Battalion – Thursday, November 11, 11AM
Location: Green Island, 90 Sussex Dr., Ottawa
Hosted by: Anti-Imperialist Alliance, Ontario Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines
Please join us this November 11th at 11am to honor and celebrate the brave fighters of the Mackenzie Papineau Battalion.
The Mackenzie Papineau Battalion, along with Dr Norman Bethune were one of the Canadian working classes greatest expression of international solidarity and anti fascism to date.
The Mackenzie Papineau Battalion were a battalion of Canadians organized by The Communist Party of Canada to fight in defense of the Spanish Second Republic against the fascist coup during the 1930s Spanish Civil War.
Surpassed only by France, no other country sent as many fighters proportionally to their population as the Canadian working class did.
“By summer 1937 some 1,200 Canadians were involved in the Spanish conflict. The Canadians had traveled secretly to reach Spain; some of the early volunteers were dispatched mainly with the volunteer Abraham Lincoln Battalion of Americans. Later they traveled with the North American George Washington Battalion, with about forty Canadians serving in each group. In early May 1937, a separate battalion began to organize for the Canadians in Spain. When it was formally organized at Albacete Spain in July 1937, the volunteers named it for William Lyon Mackenzie and Louis Joseph Papineau. These men had led the Rebellion of 1837 – 1838 in Canada. They became noted politicians in the 19th century. The Canadian volunteers chose this name as a symbol of their national identity and commitment to the Republican government’s side.”
Please bring flowers, relevant flags, and your friends!
This Remembrance Day, we will remember the heroes of our working class and its movement!

Even leans into Isak’s side. He feels so, so nice. And warm. His hair against Isak’s neck. The sound of his breath. It’s heaven. Isak hasn’t felt this safe in ages.
That’s when The Thought pops back into in Isak’s mind. The Thought that Isak had managed to cram back into the deepest corner of his memories. Right there it is. Awake and present. "What if I’m gay?"

Note
If Bayern losing is indeed your fault because you jinxed them somehow, I need you to watch their match against Freiburg please 😂 this is a team that actually deserves to win against them. Manu is probably back by then, but hey, such is life!
I'm also convinced that Leicester lose when I watch them, but that's their problem tbh, not reason enough to miss out on my weekly Kasper fix 😤
– 🌞
I'm a curse for some teams, I swear!! I'll try to watch that one if I remember, here's hoping Freiburg wins! 😂🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I don't watch even for Kasper. I miss Kasper more than anything, but nothing will get me watching Leicester again 😅
