Do any of you ever wonder if Camp Half-Blood accidentally brought in a demigod of a different pantheon before?

This would be especially hilarious if it happens sometime after The Last Olympian/Heroes of Olympus, where the gods are required to claim their kids quickly.

A whole day passes, and the new demigod needs to sleep in the Hermes Cabin and Percy is furious. Meanwhile, the Greek Gods are pointing at each other and shouting, contacting the most obscure of mini gods. Chaos erupts on Olympus as every deity in Greek Mythology is called upon and interrogated. Hermes hasn't run around so much in centuries.

Hecate sits in silence, fully aware of what's happening, but enjoying the show too much to intervene.

Dick Grayson's refusal to just wantonly kill someone, even when it puts their lives at risk, because Jon is a victim in this, THAT IS WHO HE IS AT HIS CORE, that mix of being a stubborn asshole who WILL NOT MOVE no matter how strong his opponent is because his faith in his beliefs and his willingness to go the extra mile for someone who is a victim, that's who he is to his core. Dick Grayson will look Barda right in the face and go, "No, this discussion is closed." and every single person in that conversation knows he's dead fucking serious. NEVER PLAY CHICKEN WITH NIGHTWING, HE WILL RAM HIS FACE INTO YOURS BEFORE HE MOVES AND YOU'LL KNOW IT.

I think this sequence is the best one in the whole book. It was this that proved concept to me. No matter where she is, who she is being raised by, Diana inherently is compassionate. Inherently cares for life and does what she can to preserve it.

After what felt like a solid year of cartoonish disappointment...thank god for women, on the page and behind it.

Pleaaaaase give this one some love. This is the kind of thing I was hoping for from the absolute line. Fresh, dark, but completely true to the point of the original character. And funny!
