One thing that amuses me about the difference between the WenClair fandom and the WolfWren fandom is that when i see posts about WenClair (or honestly the show Wednesday in general), it really seems like folk have just fully divulged from any kind of canon characterization and are just running on fanon and/or vibes

Wednesday (the character) especially is sweet and lovey-dovey and I guess very Gomez in a way that is at least a few logical leaps of character development from anything yet in the show

Most of the Wolfwren stuff seems grounded in a way I don’t see often. Shin is presented as a feral gremlin that stabs as a form of flirting. Sabine is stubborn, cocky, frustrated and frustrating. It’s like people are looking at them and thinking “look, they don’t need much character development other than getting their fighting to include ‘make out about it’ as an option sometimes”

And like, i love both ships and neither approach strikes me as better as long as folks aren’t surprised when S2 drops and the characters (hopefully) behave pretty much mostly like in S1. I just find it fascinating.

It’s WIP Wednesday!

I’m juggling a lot of ideas right now, but here is the first summary I made of the multi chapter WolfWren fic that came to me in a dream!

Please note that this fic is only a very rough draft right now and might not ever see the light of day, but I hope it will.
