So our pirate dad confirmed the Widow Evelyn Higgins and Mary Bonnet pairing, and I have to finally post this Queen of Hearts wedding portrait I did of them for the Tying the Knot zine last year! (There was meant to be a nsfw companion piece but I haven't finished it yet)

Wedding portrait commission for a friend on fb of her OCs Hermani and Lucca (both are he/him)! It’s the most ambitious/detailed/time-consuming project I’ve done and it was totally worth it, and I learned a lot about making my own custom brushes in procreate. I was given refs for the wedding saree but looked up others to help fill in some blanks and wow are they beautiful! I hope I came even a little bit close to recreating that beauty in my own work.

Forgot to post this painting I did for my brother and sister-in-laws wedding. I used acrylic paint, white gel pen, and colored pencils. Took a bit but it was fun to make. The background is the stardew background in the intro. They both love that game.

A wedding portrait for an old friend and a newer friend, using watercolors heavily overlaid with colored pencil and crayons because an hour of YouTube tutorials apparently wasn't enough to teach me how watercolors work, haha. But I think I wound up with an interesting look, and I'm really happy with the likenesses.

Papercraft wedding piece! This wedding took place at a beautiful lake the couple loves, so I decided to incorporate that into the background instead of the more abstract, pattern-focused backgrounds I usually gravitate towards. And it worked! The couple really liked that the lake itself appeared in the piece! ^__^ Congratulations, you two! May the future be filled with many watery adventures and tons of love!

So I haven't posted much art lately as I was determined to get this finished in time for my sister's wedding. It took a long time to finish, and I spent many lunch breaks translating Sindarin in the office, but I'm very proud of how it came out, and very pleased to hear they liked the gift!
