Alan Wake is a slower-ish paced thriller game that wished it was survival horror. Its a bit silly but I really like it! Its great. It follows fictional best selling author Alan Wake as everything he’s ever known crumbles around him, and he has to fight it all off with the help of his best friend and several other people! He kind of sucks as a person but i think hes great because of that, even if I do wish his best friend would punch him in the face some time. Also theres a fictional band whos every song is plot relavant and their music is provided by the real band Poets Of The Fall and all of it rocks!

Control is an Action Thriller with horror elements (bit less so than Alan Wake imo, it was less scary to me)! It kinda has an “SCP if it was Even Cooler” vibe going on to me, but if SCP focused less on monsters (well, mostly) and more on items. Your in the Federal Beurau of Control, and your looking for something important to you. The beurau also deals with anomalous Events, and its really cool! A song by the fictional band comes up in this game, and its featured in probably one of my favorite video game sequences ever, other than something from Alan Wake 2!

Alan Wake 2 is survival horror, and is probably the scariest piece of media that I’ve ever made it all the way through the end of, and still enjoyed. Its genuinely a masterful work of art that I wouldn’t have had any other way. It’s amazing and I love it. Unlike most horror game video sequels, you absolutely need to experience the first game to know whats going on here. I’m not going to talk much about the story here because I think going in as blind as possible other than knowing the ending of the first game is probably the best way to experience it. Also that fictional band comes up again, and somehow this game has an even Cooler sequence where the music is used! Despite all the terrors this game has utterly delighted me, and I think I genuinely understand why people love horror now, and its because of stuff like this!

Go there go in the Remedyverse (games made by Remedy Entertainment), their games are genuinely masterful!
