I hate to break it to everyone, but I personally know more than a handful of right wingers who agree that "You can't trust these weather-men anyway, because God controls what happens with the weather."
I've heard them have full discussions on the subject.
Also heard them after the past two visible solar eclipses discussing (after attending eclipse parties, mind you) how it was likely a Biblical sign of the coming apocalypse. Never mind the fact that you can only see a solar eclipse in a particular path, it's not visible to the entire world all at once, but I kind of doubt they're totally aware of that.
Anyway I'm going to go slam my head through the nearest wall for totally unrelated reasons.

[Map shows Russia, and "The average number of days with snow cover". There are more days of snow as you go from south to north, but the greater affect is from west to east. In the south-east, there are areas with less than 50 days of snow a year, on average. In the north-west, there are area with over 250 days of snow a year, on average.
North-central Russia has some isolated spots with over 300 days a year. South-central Russia has some (mountainous) areas that break the south-north pattern, and get more snow than their immediate north (some get over 250 days a year, while their neighbours to the north only get 175). There's also a small area that sticks out of the bottom of far east Russia that can get down to 75 days of snow a year.
(50 days is less than 2 months. 300 days is almost 10 months.)
End ID.]

We report: late sunset, the light is finely combing through the clouds. It is freezing out, and even though we took care to bundle up, we feel it, deep in our bones. This was a windy day, but only a light breeze remains. It is enough to dry out our eyes as we walk.

Oooo, a random list for weather events! I'm adding a few more to make it an easy 1d20 roll haha.
15. The sun beats down relentlessly, making the air feel dry and the ground hot to the touch. 16. Snow falls thick and fast, quickly blanketing the ground and muffling sounds. 17. A sharp, biting wind cuts through clothing, making it feel much colder than the actual temperature. 18. A brief but violent burst of wind and rain sweeps through, toppling smaller structures and tearing loose objects away. 19. A light rain falls while the sun shines, creating vibrant rainbows across the sky. 20. Small chunks of ice pelt the ground, creating a cacophony of impacts and forcing travelers to seek cover.
Note: If a weather event wouldn't make sense for time of year, season, other circumstances, you can always adjust it slightly for context.
Sun beating down to heat the ground in a winter scenario? Slight change that it causes a rapid melt.
Calling for snow but it's out of season? Could be some unnatural occurrence, maybe magic, or simply change it to rain or similar.
Enjoy!
14 Random Weather Events...
The wind is strong, causing loose belongings to tumble down the streets.
There is a torrential downpour of rain.
The wind is light, causing the trees to sway gently.
There is surprisingly, no rain.
The wind is almost nonexistent.
There is a light spattering of rain.
A storm rolls in across the sky, causing the surroundings to grow darker and darker.
It’s cold, but bearable for a trained adventurer.
The temperature is just around freezing, frost and ice are forming in some places.
The remnants of nearby storms funnel through the surroundings like a wind tunnel.
In a matter of minutes, a few inches of rain or snow will fall.
A thick haze has rolled into the surroundings, causing some colours to become muted and making the view even more mysterious.
Lightning arcs through the sky at random intervals, lighting up the surroundings in bursts and flashes.
Tons of dust has blown into the surroundings, covering everything in a thin layer of dirt.
