BOOKS OF 2024
the list nobody asked for. again <3 i think this time around i read less books than the previous year?? but still 😤 we did it boys we read some fine books. reviews under the cut since i love yapping and i cant be fucked to make a goodreads account
Cromorama - Riccardo Falcinelli this book was sooo cool so engaging so interesting, its a look into the history and science of colors but its also so much more rlly one of my favorite nonfictions of all time
The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells disclaimer I only read this series up to Rogue Protocol, but I enjoyed it, I rlly liked the characters and the worldbuilding and the short novel format and most of all murderbooottt my best friend murderbot. when im in the mood for scifi again ill read the rest asw I prommyy
On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous - Ocean Vuong this is one of those books that as u read it you can already tell it will stay with you forever, dont be fooled by the shortness every single line will Kill You. it will kill you dead.
The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida - Shehan Karunatilaka probably my fav book of the year, it's beautiful it's gripping it's deep it's scathing it's irreverent it has a careful and deeply cultural magical surrealism it has sociopolitical satire it won the booker prize of 2022 and deserved it so much
Fuori le Palle! Privilegi e Trappole della Mascolinità - Victoire Tuaillon ill be hoooneestt I didn't find this uhh as groundbreaking as I was kinda expecting it to be?? but still it was a nice read and the "flipped" perspective to center the myth of """masculinity""" in a feminist text was interesting. also rlly pretty cover
Lavinia - Ursula K. Le Guin Ursula girl u did it again! constantly rising the bar for all of us!! another stunning book that sadly fell victim to the #girlboss tiktokification but DONT LET THAT STOP YOUUU its sooo good. bitches Love pre-hellenistic latin society <333 bitches love even more when the boundaries between story and characters and reality and fiction blur in such a masterful way that Lavinia can have a conversation with Vergil and it doesn't feel not even the littlest bit forced or out of place <333
Exordia - Seth Dickinson Went in for the giant snake alien/human toxic yuri stayed for the weird mystery body horror stuff almost left for the overabundance of USA military stuff that I just can't be bothered to care about. I liked it way less than the masquerade but it Does have all the classical elements that make it a Seth Dickinson book aka fucked up women. Imperialism Critique. the horrors. the trolley problem. being Very Long. etc
Iron Widow - Xiran Jay Zhao wow guys. this book fucking sucked. like I'm speechless. you'd think that with the crazy popular rep it has it would have smth worth salvaging but uhhh- anyway go stream cocoon by corrupter which is iron widow if it was actually good
Fire from Heaven - Mary Renault nothing more special than a cultured fujo and her special golden shiny perfumed blorbo that everyone wants to fuck so bad <333 finally a book that healed my tsoa related trauma, the only thing that could've made it better is if hephaestion discovered brat taming
The Spear Cuts Through Water - Simon Jimenez beautiful and with such a dreamy magical atmosphere once again I LOVEEE interwoven stories, and I feel like some of the writing's style Choices are so original. it starts a bit slow tbh but I found it impossible to put down from the second half of the book til the end
Voyage of the Damned - Frances White well. it was a cherished super pretty shiny gift from a beloved friend so that's why I finished it but uh. uhhMMMMM uhghhh whhhhfhhmmm uhhhhh hmmmmm uhhhhh. yeah. I'm iconic 💅
Bad Gays: a Homosexual History - Ben Miller, Huw Lemmey ill be honest I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did but its really nice!! its a critique and analysis of white male gayness told through the lives of some Notable Controversial Homos, and I liked how it rlly paints a full picture not only of their lives but also of the socio-political landscape that shaped them and the concept of queernes of the time. only lil gripe tho is why there was only One woman and One Japanese guy then-
#taking into next year mauriceeee finally!!! rlly excited to read it. and in Italian. needed brain cleanse for all the english otz#also yeah not included in the list the radiant emperor reread 🫡 y’all alr know what i think of it 🫠 what i Went Through#/pos /dead#as alwayyysss besties feel free to suggest ur books im always up for recs <333#it might take me 11 years to get to it but i'll get to it#books#send post

Five Nights at Freddy's (Movie Review, Part 2)
So, let's continue with my FNaF Movie Review. If you want to see Part 1, the link is below:
Five Nights at Freddy's (Movie Review, Part 1)
I had to make two separate parts because of crossing the image limit I was allowed on Tumblr. Part 1 contains a non-spoiler review, as well as a spoiler review of the characters and story with a warning for those who haven't seen the movie. Part 2 covers the finale of the movie, as well as the main villain.
MOVIE SPOILERS!!!!
Now, let's get to our main attraction!
Ahhh, William Afton... Seriously, whenever the animatronics weren't stealing the show, this guy would take the spotlight in every scene he was in. I was legit looking forward to his character in the movie, and he never disappointed.
He appears as an unassuming career counselor, Steve Raglan (missed opportunity there to call him Dave Miller), who gives Mike a job after learning that he is the older brother of the kid he had murdered, even saying how the owner ''was too sentimental to let go of the pizza place''. Yeah, when I heard that, I knew immediately he was talking about himself.
During the movie, we learn that William has somehow influenced the Ghost Children to trust him and hunt down Abby to make her his next victim, with the climax having Chica almost stuffing Abby into a springlock suit and Foxy hunting her down (this is both a The Silver Eyes and Into The Pit reference!), while Mike deals with all of them (and gets his leg damaged by Carl the Cupcake).
I will admit, I almost screamed when I saw Spring Bonnie approaching Mike, and the latter's futile attempts to fight him off.
William as Spring Bonnie is legit the creepiest and most awesome part of the whole movie, and I absolutely love how he chews the scenery as he confronts Mike, telling him he was behind the murders and how he will kill Mike as well, as well as siccing the animatronics on him.
Oh, and I love the Ghostface reference here, gotta allude to Scream given the actor's career. X3
I know I shouldn't be fangirling over the main villain of the story, but COM'N!, this guy is stealing the show and he enjoys what he's doing.
As the movie reaches its climax, William confronts Vanessa, while Mike realizes that he can turn the Animatronics against William and asks Abby to help him. What does she do?
She makes a drawing that shows the truth (something that happened in The Fourth Closet). Also, just look at the gaze Abby gives to William. It screams: ''Now you're dead.''
And William knows this. There is genuine fear and shock in his eyes, especially when the realization hits and the Animatronics surround him.
They are pissed, and you'd think that William would turn into a sniveling coward and beg for mercy as they move to kill him. Yet, that doesn't happen.
Instead, he remains defiant, delivering an epic rant to the Animatronics:
"Look at you… Look at the nasty things that you have become! Look at how small you are! How worthless you are! You are wretched, rotten little beasts! I made you!"
This prompts Chica to unleash the Cupcake, who takes the bite out of the suit and causes the springlocks to snap.
The iconic springlock failure we're all familiar with is not a fountain of blood with William quickly dying. Instead, it is slow and agonizing, and William is doing his best not to scream in pain, falling onto his knees as he is dying and quickly grabbing the Spring Bonnie head as he delivers his iconic line:
''I always come back!''
Now, this made me scream in excitement!
Not only is this William's iconic line, but it also has a deeper meaning behind it. He knows that he can return to life by having his soul possessing an animatronic, and he's taking full advantage of it.
While Mike, Abby and Vanessa book it out of the pizzeria as everything starts falling apart, the Animatronics grab the dying William and slowly drag him away, and it seems like the story of Freddy's is finally over... or is it?
We see William inside the Spring Bonnie suit, whimpering in agony as the Ghost Child that possessed Golden Freddy stares back at him, before closing the door on him, sealing the room shut, and honestly, I legit thought Hello Zepp from Saw was about to start to play during this scene.
youtube
Seriously, look at the scene and tell me you didn't think the same thing. Unfortunately, it doesn't, but the song that does play is more than appropriate!
youtube
YES, FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S BY THE LIVING TOMBSTONE IS IN THE MOVIE!!! LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!
Overall, I LOVE this movie, and the very ending with Spring Bonnie...
...or shall we call him, Springtrap, makes for a solid base for a sequel.
If you want to hear my ideas for a FNaF sequel or just want to discuss the movie, leave a response or a question in the inbox. I have SO much to say about this.

TOP 9 BOOKS
tagged : @hmsharmony ty jennifer this was SOOO hard oh my god like. genuinely agonized me for days to think about what to choose but it was SOOO fun tho <3 tagging : @rosesau | @evcndiaz | @pendrgcn | @gayarthur | @the-tenth-arcanum | @oretsev | @wherepoetsdie | @bellamyblakru | @ryekat & anyone else who wants to do it !!! rules : list your top 9 books obviously. i cheated a little and put series as as one option because that's just who i am as a person. most of these i chose at random from my 5 star reads from the past few years btw
1. percy jackson and the olympians (series) by rick riordan
i was never a big reader in elementary school—or at least not to the extent that my classmates had been. my sixth grade english class required us to bring a personal book from home for silent reading and i stole my brother's spine-cracked copies of pjo and brought them to class. i finished the whole series in less than a school week (i had to scramble to the library to pick up another series because the single novel should have lasted me at least three weeks). pjo literally kickstarted my love for reading as a hobby and i truly don't know how to state the importance it had on my little ten-year-old brain fr
2. on earth we're briefly gorgeous by ocean vuong
i have never read a book more beautiful in prose and so uncommonly human than this. there's just something so incredibly heartbreaking knowing this whole book is the narrator's letter to his mother who can't read! like what the fuck
3. alone with you in the ether by olivie blake
this came as a surprise to Me when i first read it. i meandered through the first quarter, loving the writing style but feeling disconnected from the characters until the Church Hand Scene™ and it was hook, line, and sinker at that point (i have since come to love the disconnectedness in subsequent rereads, knowing that the feeling was the Point). i have read this book four (4) times since i read it first last year. LAST YEAR!!! olivie has like... fundamentally altered my brain chemistry or something because i feel like everything i have written since having read this book has been somewhat influenced by it.
4. much ado about nothing by william shakespeare
what can i say! this is theeeeeee romcom ever. i have watched so many adaptations of this play, read it countless of times and can recite some iconic lines, and still the banter between benedick and beatrice is sooo elite. cannot be topped!!
5. a place for us by fatima farheen mirza
fun fact: seed rec'd this book to me and has been reccing it to anybody who would listen. the prose is so lush and melancholic. it's one of those books where nothing Really happens, but you feel Every Emotion Under The Sun and you're just like. altered by reading it
6. the song of achilles by madeline miller
obviously.... OBVIOUSLYYYYYYY this had to go here. if i had two nickels for every greek myth retelling i read during school that fundamentally changed me etc etc u get it. i read this as a junior in high school when we, yet again, had to bring a personal book to read durin class. i think at that point of my life, i've never read something that tragic yet so beautiful at the same time and now i am always looking at the beautiful and tragic in media. so! there u go! brain cells rewired and whatnot!
7. the grisha trilogy by leigh bardugo
this is funny because i . technically did not rate any of these books 5 stars i'm sobbing. but like, considering the fact that my url is what it is and the way i always have them in the back of my mind, it's no wonder that i put them here. i have such an odd attachment to these books and these characters. i had copies of these books since their release but didn't touch them until ... before the sab tv release which is so fucking funny. like i don't know what i would be like if i read this as a t(w)een. i would've been so fucking insufferable ngl
8. when my brother was an aztec by natalie diaz
i actually read this for an assignment and had to write a report on it and i had SO much fun doing it. diaz plays a lot with hunger and her imagery is literally unmatched. i think about the way she contructs sentences and am filled with such envy. my beginning sentence for my paper was a nod to her style (though i failed miserably). it was: "in a paradoxical sleight of hand, hunger feeds in natalie diaz's debut." she is just. so fucking good at words i need to CHOMP on it
9. sharp objects by gillian flynn
you know the thing where you see a really popular author for a really long time and they have their work adapted to the screen and it's so good but you still haven't read their actual writing? yeah, that was me with gillian flynn (specifically about gone girl). i read gone girl, i read sharp objects, i read her short story the grownup, i'm currently reading the last novel of hers that i haven't read, dark places, and flynn is just so... incredibly good at constructing harrowing stories. it's no wonder why all three of her novels got adapted to the screen! her prose is so grounded. vivid. there's this ease to her writing that, whenever i concurrently read another novel, i always find the other piece to be lacking. i slink back to flynn's prose and immerse myself in her awful, human worlds.

Hello, hello, hello!
it's been a fantastic, exciting, and reinvigorating two weeks! I've been lurking hard on tumblr mobile for a bit, but now we're back with consistent internet access and a working keyboard! i'll be responding to all your lovely messages and tags over the next few days, so if you've sent me something, i promise i'm not ignoring you! 😭
in doing the unthinkable and not being glued to tumblr for days, some kind of cool things have happened:
i got to meet @therosejamjournal ! we met back in the midnight mass days and she was as lovely in person as she is over the dreaded tumblr messaging system.
in my travels, i found a Miller Brother's Sandwich shop in Edinburgh. Nice to see Joel and Tommy expanded their operations! 🥪😆
i got engaged??? The Boy says hello to you all and is shocked about all the lovely messages you sent in when i posted about it! 😆"so you've never met these people before?" "only online." "how do you know they are who they say they are?" "if they're catfishing me, their commitment to TLOU is shocking."
(i broke 200 followers) 🫣and i still haven't finished with the previous milestone event . . . y'all are to good to me! thank you thank you thank you!
spooky season is around the corner and i'm not gonna lie, i am stupidly excited over the icon i've got planned! 👻🧹
I can't wait to share with you what i've been stewing on the past few weeks! get ready for some sex pollen in Bogota, some illicit chocolate fountain debacles, and laundry day with the most boyfriendshaped man alive: frankie morales!
happy hauntings!

thank you so much for the request!! this is super cute and I def now have a newfound love for k’andre <3 (but go isles!!)
come along the world trip
📍venice, italy with k’andre miller
"Let's go in here," K'Andre pulled on your hand and pulled you into the Prada store.
"Babe, this is way too fancy," you whispered as you passed the security holding open the door for you.
"Shh, act cool. We'll find you something." He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows, before being greeted by a sales person. She showed you around the store, explaining the latest collection and trying to sell you on everything you had your eye on. K'Andre was in his element. He loved looking at everything, showing you what he liked, and of course sending everything back to the fitting rooms.
You on the other hand, while you liked a lot of things you saw, weren't as confident in picking things out as he was.
"This dress would look amazing on you," he said holding it up to you. When he saw you hesitate, he leaned down to kiss you. "Please? For me?"
You gave in with an eye roll, blushing when the sales woman gave you a small smile. He was able to convince you to get a few more clothing pieces before you made it back to the most private and luxurious dressing room. You had your own little fashion show while being served coffee and tiny Italian pastries.
"No, I like the red one better." K'Andre did another little spin for you showing off the suit, trying to convince you on the deep green color, but you he was unsuccessful. While it did look good on him, as anything did, the deep maroon suit he tried on before was your favorite.
"Fine, I'll get that one then." He changed back into his clothes. "Your turn."
He had picked a few basic pieces out for you, like a blouse and shirts, even a pair of shoes that after trying them on you absolutely loved. Then it was time for the dress. "Mmhm. My girl."
He stood up from the little sofa in the waiting room and immediately took you into his arms. His hands wandered down your body, so did his eyes as he sported a devilish grin. You blushed and tried to look away, but his fingers got ahold of you chin and forced your gaze back up. "Gorgeous." He kissed you softly and you melted in his arms. You felt safe and loved.
"We're taking it and you're wearing it to dinner tonight."
"Yes, sir." With a little growl, he smacked your ass and pushed you back into the dressing room before your sales person would see.
K'Andre got you to pick out a purse as well while he shopped for some ties for his hockey games. You checked out and left the store with a happy grin.
Your little shopping trip was far from over though, K'Andre wasn't done using you as his little dress up doll. But you loved it. As always, he was very touchy-feely, always tell you how beautiful you looked in anything you tried on. He knew what you liked and what you felt confident in, so he knew what to pick out.
"Thank you." You pressed a kiss to his cheek and wrapped your arms around his torso. He pulled you even closer with his free arm to kiss you. You were in the middle of a busy street, so you pulled away from him, but he wouldn't have it.
"What are you–?" Before you could finish, he had already pulled you across the sidewalk towards the buildings against one of which he pinned you. He smirked before claiming your lips again, this time a deeper kiss. "There's people," you tried to mumble.
"I can't get enough of you," he said between kisses, which he then started pressing against your neck.
"So, this morning when you had me for breakfast and the time in the shower wasn't enough for you?"
"Never enough with you, baby." He went back to kiss you, but you were interrupted by a strong male voice with a thick Italian accent.
"Hey! None of that here!" You broke apart only to realize that it was a Venice police officer yelling at you. He looked pissed and nodded his head for you to keep moving.
"Sorry, sir." K'Andre tried his best to contain his laughter while you were mortified. He pulled you away from the officer, laughing when he wasn't in earshot anymore.
"That's so embarrassing," you whined, but his laughter was so contagious, you sooner joined.
"Well, safe to say we will remember Venice and Venice will remember us."
You stopped at your hotel afterwards to rest for a bit and change before dinner. You did as promised and wore your new dress to dinner. You walked around the canals a bit and took a boat's tour through them. At night, the city felt even more alive than by day, especially all cozy in your boyfriends arms.

send me a year and i'll tell you my favourite movie of that year
Ah, 2014. In Ireland, we have these massive exams at the end of our final year of secondary school (high school) that determine what college courses we qualify for, called the Leaving Certificate.
On the eve of the first of the exams, my Aunt took me to the cinema for one last piece of relaxation before the massive stress of the next two weeks.
Having never watched the show or the prior movie, we saw The Inbetweeners 2.
It was the awkward, cringeworthy experience of my life. I have no idea why that show is beloved by British people of my generation.
Anyway, on to the good stuff. 2013 reignited a love of animation in me, and there were some damn good movies this year. Big Hero 6 and How To Train Your Dragon 2 were great films.
It was also quite possibly the best year of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the two films they released were the iconic Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the beloved Guardians of the Galaxy. And this is also one of the few years Fox put up some resistance, as X-Men: Days of Future Past is point-blank one of the best X-Men films. Shame Sony screwed up their offering.
Though speaking of action, this was also the year we met John Wick. Meanwhile Kingsman: The Secret Service showed us how traditional, cheesy/campy Bond can work in the modern world; and Edge of Tomorrow/Live.Die.Repeat./Live.Die.Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow is some fantastic sci-fi, even if the studio flip-flopped on the title. The original Japanese light novel is called All You Need Is Kill, to add to the confusion.
And if we're talking about action, I legally have to bring up The Raid 2: Berendal, even if I haven't been able to watch that in full.
Personally I think The Theory of Everything was the better of the two biopics about British scientists that came out this year.
While I'm not the biggest fan of horror (I'm a scaredy cat), It Follows is fucking amazing, absolutely loved it.
To go to horror-comedy, What We Do In The Shadows has been a surprisingly impactful movie for a little indie film from New Zealand.
And 22 Jump Street is great, even if it's been tarnished by recent accusations against Jonah Hill.
...but for my favourite? Why it's the other Lord and Miller film of 2014. Before they gave us the massive crossover of the Spiderverse, they gave us the massive crossover that was The Lego Movie. I still have a minifig of Vitruvius on my shelf. Up until 2021, I had a newspaper poster of the movie hanging on my wall. I just loved it.

I've had a thought on the Mad Max films. I've heard that Miller doesn't consider them a definitive timeline so much as legends told in the post apocalyptic world about the figure known as Max. In that case, the loose continuity and the way the world and action has gotten more and more exaggerated kinda makes sense?
If Mad Max 1 was the actual backstory of Max, and Road Warrior was a memory about Max (I have not seen Thunderdome), then Fury Road feels like its showing the legend of Max.
He's no longer just a tough guy, he's a feral action hero able to shoot down dozens of enemies in one movie. He begins driving his V8 Interceptor (despite its destruction of Road Warrior) because that's his iconic vehicle. Basically he feels like how Max would be perceived by people telling his story in later years.
It's cool because the way the world and characters gotten more exaggerated actually fits with how Miller approaches his story, and is fun to think about in that way.
Yeah, it's great! It's a great filmmaking idea because it means they don't need to worry about keeping a tight continuity between installments, and it works in-universe because of the post-apocalyptic setting where most of the population is illiterate. What we're seeing is the half-remembered representation of something passed down by word of mouth. Furiosa really leans into this with the different possible fates of Dementus.

**Chapter 1: Descent into Darkness**
The sun had just begun to set, casting long shadows across the city as Ethan Crutchly, a veteran police officer and SWAT team leader, briefed his team. They stood in a secluded area, away from the curious eyes of the public, the air tense with anticipation. Beyond the police cordon, curious onlookers and reporters had gathered, drawn to the scene like moths to a flame.
"Alright, guys, we've been called in because the situation has escalated beyond the local police's control," Ethan began, his voice steady and commanding. "As you all know, we've responded to reports of erratic and violent behavior from people inside this high-rise. The first SWAT team that went in has gone dark—no communication, no sign of them. Our job is to get inside, find out what the hell is going on, and contain the threat."
The team consisted of five highly trained officers, each with their unique skills and expertise: Brandon Hicks, their tech and explosives specialist; Sarah Miller, a former army medic; David Wu, their close-quarters combat expert; Mike Wilson, the team's sniper; and Ethan himself, a seasoned leader and investigator.
"We'll start our search in the underground parking lot and work our way up," Ethan continued. "Keep your eyes and ears open. Whatever we're dealing with here, it's not your average hostage situation. Be prepared for anything, and remember your training."
With a nod, the team geared up, double-checking their weapons and equipment. They moved with purpose toward the entrance of the parking garage, the weight of their mission heavy on their shoulders. The building loomed over them, an imposing structure of steel and glass, its windows reflecting the fading light.
As they entered the garage, the hum of their flashlights cut through the darkness, illuminating the concrete walls and rows of parked cars. The air was thick with an eerie silence, the usual bustle of a busy office building noticeably absent.
"Place is dead quiet," Brandon remarked, his voice echoing slightly in the vast space.
"Too quiet," Sarah agreed, her hand resting on the grip of her pistol. "Where is everyone?"
Ethan shook his head, his brows furrowed in concentration. "That's what we're here to find out. Stay sharp. Remember, our primary goal is to locate any survivors and neutralize the threat."
They moved deeper into the garage, their footsteps echoing off the walls. The further they ventured, the more the hair on the back of their necks stood on end. Something felt inherently wrong about this place, an underlying sense of dread hanging in the air like a thick fog.
Suddenly, a loud crash startled them, the sound of shattering glass and screeching tires piercing the silence. It came from one of the lower levels of the garage.
"Over here!" David called out, already sprinting toward the source of the noise. The team followed suit, their training kicking in as they fanned out, forming a protective formation around David.
As they rounded a corner, their flashlights landed on a horrifying scene. A car had crashed through a concrete pillar, its front end mangled and smoking. But it was the driver, or what was left of them, that drew their attention. A figure, or what used to be a person, hung halfway out of the shattered windshield, its body twisted and contorted in impossible angles.
"My God..." Sarah whispered, her medical training kicking in despite the surreal nature of the scene. "There's no way anyone could survive that impact."
Ethan approached the car, his eyes narrowing as he took in the details. "This wasn't an accident. Look at the marks on the concrete. Something... or someone, forced the driver to crash."
Brandon shone his light on the ground, revealing smears of blood and drag marks leading away from the car. "Something was done to that driver, and whoever... or whatever... did this, took the body with them."
A chill ran down Mike's spine as he scanned their surroundings, his sniper rifle at the ready. "You don't think this is the work of those... things we encountered at the Rise incident, do you?"
Ethan exchanged a grim look with the team. The Rise incident, as it had come to be known, was a case they had worked on several months prior. It involved a similar situation—people going insane and attacking others, only to be revealed as possessions by an ancient, malevolent force. That case had left an indelible mark on each of them, and now, it seemed, the nightmare was far from over.
"It has all the hallmarks," Ethan said grimly. "But we can't jump to conclusions. We need to find more evidence, and hopefully, some survivors who can tell us what happened here."
With a renewed sense of purpose, the team continued their descent into the depths of the parking garage, their flashlights cutting through the darkness like swords slicing through the encroaching evil that seemed to lurk in every shadow.
**Chapter 2: Unspeakable Horrors**
They moved with cautious steps, their senses heightened, alert for any signs of movement or danger. The further they ventured, the more the temperature seemed to drop, an icy chill seeping into their bones.
"This doesn't feel right," David whispered, his eyes darting from side to side. "It's like something out of a damn horror movie."
Sarah nodded in agreement, her breath forming small clouds in the cold air. "I keep expecting to see bodies or blood... some sign of what happened here. It's too quiet."
Ethan held up his hand, signaling for the team to halt. "Wait... do you hear that?"
They stood in silence, straining to listen beyond the thumping of their own hearts. At first, there was nothing but the soft hum of the building's machinery. Then, faintly, they heard it—a low, guttural moan, followed by the sound of something dragging across the concrete.
"It's coming from over there," Brandon said, shining his light in the direction of the noise.
With weapons raised, they moved toward the source of the sound, their footsteps slow and deliberate. As they rounded a corner, the beam of their flashlights landed on a figure huddled in the corner, its back against the wall. It was a man, or at least, it used to be. His clothes were torn and bloodied, and his face was a mask of terror, his eyes wide and unblinking.
"Jesus..." Mike whispered, his rifle lowering slightly as he took in the man's state.
The figure began to stir, its head snapping up, eyes glowing an eerie yellow. It opened its mouth, and a guttural, inhuman sound emerged, sending shivers down the team's spines.
"It's one of them," Ethan said, his voice steady despite the horror before them. "A Deadite."
The Deadite lunged at them with inhuman speed, its fingers extending into sharp, bony claws. David was the closest, and he reacted instantly, swinging his bat at the creature's head. The wooden bat connected with a sickening crack, but the Deadite barely staggered, its skull caving in slightly before it lunged again.
"What the hell?!" David exclaimed, swinging again.
Sarah joined in, her pistol firing round after round into the creature's chest. The bullets tore into its flesh, but it kept coming, driven by some unseen force.
"Head shots only!" Ethan shouted, raising his own pistol and firing directly into the Deadite's face. The creature's head snapped back, and it stumbled, finally falling to the ground, its body twitching and convulsing.
The team stood, panting, their weapons trained on the fallen Deadite.
"What the hell are these things?!" Brandon exclaimed, his eyes wide as he stared at the mutilated form.
"They're Deadites," Ethan said grimly. "Possessed by some ancient evil. We encountered them at the Rise incident, and now it looks like they've infested this place."
"But how do we kill them?!" Sarah asked, her voice shaking. "We shot it, beat its head in, and it still kept coming!"
Ethan's eyes narrowed as he thought back to their previous encounter. "We need to destroy the source of the evil... whatever is causing these possessions. Until then, head shots seem to be our best bet to take them down."
"Great," David muttered, reloading his pistol. "So, we're dealing with an army of relentless, undead office workers."
A faint sound caught their attention, and they turned to see another figure shuffling toward them from the darkness. It was a woman, her once-smart business attire now torn and stained with blood. Her eyes, glowing an unearthly yellow, fixed on the team with an unblinking intensity.
"Another one," Mike said, raising his rifle. "How many of these things are there?"
"Take her out!" Ethan ordered.
The team opened fire, their bullets tearing into the Deadite, but it continued to advance, its movements jerky and unnatural. It took several more shots before the creature finally fell, its body twitching and convulsing on the ground.
"This is insane," Brandon said, his voice shaking. "How many of these things are there? We can't just keep shooting them! We need a better plan."
Ethan nodded, his eyes scanning the garage for any other threats. "We need to find the source of this evil and put a stop to it. Until then, we keep moving, and we take these things down one by one if we have to."
With a sense of growing dread, the team continued their journey through the garage, their flashlights cutting through the darkness, revealing the horrors that lurked within.
**Chapter 3: A Tide of Evil**
They had only ventured further when they stumbled upon a scene of pure carnage. The mangled bodies of several Deadites lay strewn across the garage floor, the concrete stained with blood and other unidentifiable fluids.
"What the hell happened here?" Sarah whispered, her eyes wide as she took in the destruction.
Ethan shook his head, his face grim. "Looks like someone, or something, got to them before we did."
David approached one of the bodies, his bat at the ready in case it suddenly sprang to life. "These bodies are torn apart... like something went at them with pure rage."
"Could it be infighting?" Brandon asked, shining his light on the mutilated forms. "Maybe these things turn on each other?"
"Or maybe," Mike said, his voice filled with unease, "there's something else down here with us. Something even more dangerous than these Deadites."
As if in response to his words, a low, inhuman growl echoed through the garage, sending shivers down their spines. It was a sound unlike anything they had heard before, a mix of animalistic rage and otherworldly malevolence.
"What the hell was that?!" Sarah exclaimed, her pistol raised.
"I don't know, but it sounds big," David said, his eyes scanning the darkness beyond their flashlight beams.
"We need to find a way out of here, now!" Brandon said, his usually calm demeanor cracking under the strain.
Ethan shook his head, his gaze fixed on the darkness from which the sound had emanated. "Not yet. Whatever that is, it's between us and the exit. We need to take it out or find another way around."
The growl came again, closer this time, followed by the sound of heavy, dragging footsteps. The team formed a defensive circle, their weapons raised, flashlights illuminating the encroaching darkness.
Out of the shadows, a figure emerged. It stood on two legs, but any resemblance to a human ended there. It was a massive, hulking creature, its body distorted and twisted, muscles rippling with unnatural strength. Its head was that of a demon, with glowing yellow eyes and a mouth filled with rows of sharp, jagged teeth.
"Oh my God..." Sarah whispered, her voice filled with a mix of horror and awe.
"It's a Deadite, but unlike any I've seen before," Ethan said, his voice steady despite the terror that gripped him. "It's some kind of... abomination."
The creature roared, the sound reverberating off the concrete walls, and charged at them with astonishing speed. The team opened fire, their bullets tearing into its flesh, but the creature barely flinched, its relentless advance continuing.
David stepped forward, swinging his bat with all his might. The wooden club connected with the creature's head, sending it stumbling backward, but it quickly recovered, its eyes fixed on David with an unblinking intensity.
"Fall back!" Ethan ordered, firing round after round into the creature's chest.
They retreated, forming a loose semicircle as the creature advanced, its movements jerky and unpredictable.
"We need explosives!" Brandon shouted. "Something to take this thing down!"
Sarah nodded, her eyes never leaving the creature as she rummaged through her pack. "I have some C4, but we'll need to get close!"
"I'll draw its fire," Mike said, his rifle already trained on the creature. "Ethan, when I move, you move in and plant the charge!"
Ethan nodded, his heart pounding in his chest as he prepared for the risky maneuver. Mike opened fire, his bullets tearing into the creature, drawing its attention. As it turned toward Mike, Ethan dashed forward, Sarah at his side.
They reached the creature, and Sarah quickly attached the C4 to its back, the pack shaking in her hands. "Go, go, go!"
They sprinted away, the creature turning to follow, its roar filling the garage. Mike fired again, buying them precious seconds.
"Now!" Ethan shouted, and Brandon triggered the detonator.
The explosion rocked the garage, sending a shockwave through the air. The creature staggered, its body engulfed in flames, before finally collapsing in a heap, its limbs twitching spasmodically.
The team stood, panting, their eyes fixed on the smoldering remains.
"That... was close," David said, wiping a sleeve across his forehead.
"Too close," Ethan agreed, his eyes scanning the darkness for any further threats. "Let's keep moving. We need to find a way out of this garage and up into the building. Whatever is causing this, we need to put a stop to it."
With the memory of the massive Deadite still fresh in their minds, they continued their journey, their flashlights cutting through the darkness, revealing the horrors that lurked within the once-ordinary high-rise building.
**Chapter 4: Into the Heart of Darkness**
They found the maintenance stairwell and began their ascent, their footsteps echoing off the concrete walls. The air grew thicker and more oppressive as they climbed, the weight of the building pressing down on them.
"This place feels like it's suffocating us," Sarah said, her voice echoing in the stairwell.
"I know the feeling," Brandon replied, his breath coming in short gasps. "It's like something doesn't want us here."
Ethan shook his head, his hand tight on the grip of his pistol. "Whatever this evil is, it's not going to drive us out that easily. We need to keep moving, find the source of this madness."
As they climbed higher, the sounds of chaos and destruction grew louder—shouts, screams, and the sickening wet sounds of violence.
"Sounds like we're getting close to the action," David remarked, his bat at the ready.
Rounding a landing, they came upon a horrifying scene. The stairwell was littered with bodies, some clearly dead, while others twitched and convulsed, their eyes glowing an eerie yellow.
"Deadites," Mike said, his rifle already trained on the nearest one. "Looks like they were cut down trying to escape."
Ethan approached one of the bodies, his eyes narrowing as he studied it. "These people weren't just trying to escape. They were trying to warn others. Look, this one has a makeshift sign—'Don't go up. Evil above.'"
Sarah's eyes widened as she took in the scene. "So, whatever is causing this, it's not just contained to the lower levels. It's spread throughout the building."
"We need to keep moving," Ethan said grimly. "The source of this evil is somewhere above us, and we need to put a stop to it before more innocent people are harmed."
With a sense of growing dread, they continued their ascent, their footsteps heavy with the weight of their mission. The higher they climbed, the more the temperature seemed to rise, an oppressive heat filling the stairwell.
"It's getting hotter," Brandon remarked, wiping a sleeve across his sweating brow.
"Not just hotter... it's getting harder to breathe," Sarah said, her voice strained. "The air feels thick... almost toxic."
Ethan nodded, his eyes narrowing as he took in the changing environment. "Whatever is causing this, it's not natural. It's like the building itself is alive and reacting to our presence."
As they neared the top of the stairwell, the air grew even thicker, the heat oppressive. The sound of their labored breathing filled the confined space.
"I can't... breathe," David gasped, his hand on his chest.
"We're almost there," Ethan said through gritted teeth, his own breath coming in short gasps. "Just a little further."
Rounding the final landing, they emerged into a hallway, their eyes widening at the scene before them. The hallway was in disarray, furniture overturned, and papers scattered everywhere. But it was the bodies that drew their attention—bodies of Deadites, their twisted forms strewn across the floor, the walls, and even hanging halfway out of shattered windows.
"What the hell happened here?" Brandon whispered, his eyes taking in the destruction.
"Looks like a war zone," Mike said, his rifle raised as he scanned the area for any signs of movement.
Ethan approached one of the bodies, his eyes narrowing as henodded, his gaze sweeping the hallway. "Whatever happened here, it was recent. These bodies haven't begun to decay."
As they ventured further, the air grew thick with an ominous energy. It was as if the building itself was alive and aware of their presence, watching their every move with malevolent intent.
Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream pierced the air, followed by the sound of shattering glass. The team sprang into action, their weapons raised as they moved toward the source of the sound.
"It's coming from that office!" David said, pointing to a room with a shattered window.
Ethan nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "Mike, Brandon, take point. The rest of us will cover you."
They approached the office with caution, their footsteps slow and deliberate. As they neared the doorway, a figure emerged from the shadows, its form twisted and contorted. It was a Deadite, its eyes glowing an unearthly yellow, its mouth twisted in a macabre smile.
Mike fired his rifle, the bullet tearing into the creature's chest. But the Deadite barely flinched, continuing its relentless advance.
"Head shots!" Ethan shouted, firing his own pistol.
The team opened fire, their bullets finding their mark. The Deadite staggered, its head snapping back with each impact, but it refused to fall.
David stepped forward, his bat swinging with deadly force. The wooden club connected with the creature's skull, sending it reeling backward. Finally, it collapsed in a heap, its body twitching and convulsing.
"Damn, these things are tough," Brandon said, his breath coming in short gasps.
As they entered the office, their worst fears were realized. Two of their teammates, Mike and Sarah, lay on the floor, their bodies mutilated beyond recognition. It was clear they had fallen victim to the relentless Deadites.
Ethan felt a surge of grief and rage wash over him. He had lost good people, and the cost of this mission was becoming painfully clear.
"No..." David whispered, his voice shaking as he took in the gruesome scene. "Not them..."
Ethan clenched his jaw, his eyes narrowing with determination. "We knew the risks when we signed up. We have to push forward. For them."
Brandon nodded, his face set in a grim mask. "We can't let their deaths be in vain. We have to find out what's causing this and put a stop to it."
With heavy hearts, they continued their mission, their resolve strengthened by the loss of their teammates. The horror and gore they had witnessed only fueled their determination to put an end to the evil that had infested this place.
**Chapter 5: The Heart of Evil**
They ventured deeper into the heart of the building, the air growing thicker with malevolence. The sounds of chaos and destruction surrounded them, a constant reminder of the threat they faced.
"This way," Ethan said, his voice steady despite the turmoil within. "We're getting close."
As they turned a corner, they were confronted by a horde of Deadites, their eyes glowing, their bodies contorted. The creatures advanced, their movements jerky and unnatural.
The team opened fire, their weapons tearing into the Deadites with little effect. The creatures kept coming, driven by the evil force that possessed them.
"Fall back!" Ethan shouted, his pistol firing round after round. "We can't hold them here!"
They retreated, their footsteps echoing in the hallway. The Deadites pursued relentlessly, their inhuman strength and endurance pushing the team to the brink.
"We can't keep this up!" Brandon gasped, his rifle firing wildly. "We need another way!"
Ethan's eyes narrowed as he searched for an alternative escape route. His gaze landed on a nearby window. "The window! We can jump to the adjacent building!"
Without hesitation, Ethan led the team toward the window, their footsteps pounding against the floor. They leaped through the shattered glass, one by one, landing on the fire escape of the neighboring building.
The Deadites howled in rage, their claws scraping against the window frame as they tried to follow.
"We can't stay here!" David shouted, already climbing down the fire escape ladder.
They descended rapidly, their hearts pounding in their chests. The Deadites' howls echoed in the alley below, a constant reminder of the threat that awaited them should they falter.
As they reached the ground, Ethan took a moment to assess their situation. "We need to find another way in. There has to be a back entrance or a loading dock."
Brandon nodded, his eyes scanning the surrounding buildings. "There! That loading bay might lead us back inside."
They made their way through the alley, their weapons at the ready. The loading bay was large and dimly lit, crates and pallets stacked high.
"This place is clear," David said, his voice echoing in the large space. "But it won't stay that way for long."
Ethan approached a closed door, his pistol raised. "This should lead us back inside. Be ready for anything."
With a deep breath, he pushed open the door, revealing a dimly lit corridor. The team moved with cautious steps, their senses heightened.
Suddenly, a low, guttural voice echoed through the hallway. "You cannot hide from me. Your souls will feed the darkness."
Ethan's blood ran cold as he recognized the voice. It was the same malevolent force they had encountered at the Rise incident, the ancient evil that had caused so much destruction.
"It knows we're here," Brandon whispered, his eyes wide with fear.
"We have to keep moving," Ethan said, his voice steady despite the dread filling his veins. "We're getting close to the source."
They continued down the hallway, their footsteps slow and deliberate. The air grew thicker with an oppressive energy, the very fabric of reality seeming to warp and twist around them.
Rounding a corner, they came face to face with a nightmarish scene. The hallway was filled with Deadites, their bodies contorted and twisted, their eyes glowing with unholy light. But it was the figure standing at the far end that drew their attention.
It was a man, or at least, it had once been. His form was distorted, his body contorted in impossible angles. Tendrils of darkness writhed around him, and his eyes, glowing an intense yellow, fixed on the team with an unblinking intensity.
"Welcome, agents of light," the figure said, his voice like a thousand whispers. "Your journey ends here."
Ethan raised his pistol, his hand steady despite the terror that gripped him. "We're not leaving until we banish you back to the depths of hell!"
The figure laughed, the sound sending shivers down their spines. "You cannot defeat me. The darkness has already won. Your world will fall, and your souls will be mine!"
The Deadites advanced, their movements jerky and unnatural. The team opened fire, their bullets tearing into the creatures, but it was like shooting at the tide, an unending wave of evil.
"We need to get out of here!" David shouted, his bat swinging wildly.
Ethan knew he was right. They had to retreat and regroup. "Fall back! We'll find another way!"
They turned to flee, but it was already too late. From the shadows, more Deadites emerged, blocking their path. They were surrounded.
Brandon's eyes widened in horror. "We're trapped!"
Ethan's mind raced, searching for a way out. "We have to fight our way through! We can't let this evil win!"
With a battle cry, they plunged back into the fray, their weapons a blur of steel and gunfire. The Deadites fell, one by one, but their numbers seemed endless.
Suddenly, a blinding light filled the hallway, causing the Deadites to stagger and recoil. A figure stepped forward, their form shrouded in a brilliant aura.
"Ethan Crutchly, your journey has brought you to the heart of darkness," the figure said, their voice filled with power and compassion.
Ethan squinted, his eyes adjusting to the light. "Who... who are you?"
"I am the Guardian," the figure replied. "A protector of the light. I have sensed the evil that has taken root here, and I have come to aid you in your battle."
Hope surged within Ethan's chest. "Then we must fight together! This evil cannot be allowed to spread any further!"
The Guardian nodded, their form shimmering with power. "Then let us join forces and purge this darkness from the world!"
With the Guardian's aid, the tide of the battle turned. The Deadites fell before their combined might, their twisted forms crumbling to dust.
The ancient evil, sensing its defeat, let out a howl of rage. "You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over! The darkness will rise again, and next time, there will be no escape!"
The Guardian turned to Ethan, their eyes filled with determination. "This victory is but a temporary reprieve. The evil has taken root, and it will seek to corrupt and destroy. We must be vigilant and prepare for the coming storm."
Ethan nodded, his heart heavy with the knowledge that their battle was far from over. "We'll be ready. We won't let the darkness consume this world without a fight."
With the threat momentarily vanquished, the team took a moment to catch their breath. The Guardian's presence filled them with a sense of hope and determination.
"We have much to discuss," Ethan said, his gaze sweeping over the team. "But for now, let's get out of here and regroup. We've earned a brief respite, but the war against the darkness is far from over."
With the memory of their fallen teammates fueling their resolve, they made their way out of the building, their minds already turning to the challenges that lay ahead. The battle lines had been drawn, and they knew that their fight against the evil that lurked in the shadows was far from over.
**Epilogue:**
In the aftermath of the harrowing mission, Ethan Crutchly and the remaining members of his team found solace in the knowledge that they had played a crucial role in containing the evil that threatened their world. The ancient force, though temporarily vanquished, would surely rise again, and they knew their battle was far from over.
The team, now bonded by the shared trauma and their encounter with the Guardian, vowed to be ready for whatever came next. They would train, they would prepare, and they would stand as a beacon of light against the encroaching darkness.
The Evil Dead incident at the high-rise building would go down in the annals of their careers as a testament to their courage and resilience. It served as a reminder that evil could lurk in the most unexpected places and that their vigilance was essential to protect the innocent.
Ethan, Brandon, and David, the survivors of that fateful mission, would go on to become renowned experts in their field, their names synonymous with courage and heroism. They would train new recruits, sharing their knowledge and experiences to forge a new generation of defenders against the forces of darkness.
The memory of their fallen teammates, Mike and Sarah, would forever be etched in their hearts, a constant reminder of the sacrifices made in the name of good. Their legacy would inspire future SWAT teams to face the unknown with unwavering bravery.
And in the quiet moments, when the weight of their experiences threatened to overwhelm, they would remember the words of the Guardian—a beacon of hope in a world shrouded by darkness. The battle against evil was eternal, but so too was the light that dwelled within them.

'We are on the verge of a "Hartnettaissance."
Josh Hartnett recently had impressive performances on TV ("Black Mirror") and in movies ("Oppenheimer").
Since he's known best for his work on the big screen, we're highlighting Hartnett's top movie roles.
14. John Tate in "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later" (1998)
In his big screen debut, Hartnett played John, the son of Jamie Lee Curtis' character, Laurie.
It's what you'd expect — he runs for his life from Michael Myers. It's not the most memorable performance, but landing the role did help catapult him into the "next big thing" conversation in Hollywood.
13. Hugo Goulding in "O" (2001)
In this modern-day retelling of Shakespeare's "Othello," Harnett plays the evil Hugo (essentially an adaptation of the Iago character in the classic play), who plots against his supposed friend Odin (Mekhi Phifer) to get the attention of Desi (Julia Stiles) and ruin Odin's life.
Released at a time when Hartnett's star was rising fast, the movie helped show that Hartnett was more than just a pretty face.
12. Dwight "Bucky" Bleichert in "The Black Dahlia" (2006)
Though this Brian DePalma-directed adaptation of James Ellroy's classic pulpy noir didn't get the acclaim you'd expect with such legends attached, Hartnett still shined as a detective investigating one of Los Angeles' most notorious murders.
In a cast that also featured stars like Aaron Eckhart, Scarlett Johansson, and Hilary Swank, Hartnett proves here that his dramatic acting chops are on par with those of genuine movie stars.
11. The Drifter in "Bunraku" (2010)
A rare impressive performance from the decade or so where Hartnett found himself in B-movies that often went straight-to-video or On Demand, Hartnett has a blast in "Bunraku" playing the movie's lead, The Drifter, who stumbles upon some interesting characters — and a lot of blood.
10. Matt Sullivan in "40 Days and 40 Nights" (2002)
Hartnett leans heavily on his heartthrob status in this rom-com, in which he plays a guy who gives up any sexual contact for Lent.
Playing up his character's wide eyes and penchant for hyperventilating as his hormones gradually get out of control, Hartnett delivers big on the laughs and the charm here.
9. K.C. Calden in "Hollywood Homicide" (2003)
A year after doing the rom-com thing, Hartnett teamed up with Harrison Ford for this studio action comedy.
Harnett holds his own across from Ford, delivering a playfulness he doesn't often give us in his filmography.
8. Ernest Lawrence in "Oppenheimer" (2023)
In Christopher Nolan's biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer, Hartnett stars as one of the real-life physicists who joined the Manhattan Project to create the atom bomb alongside Oppenheimer.
Hartnett plays Ernest Lawrence as a man who is not just friendly with Oppenheimer, but who tries to make the genius understand that his actions, especially his favoritism towards Communist thinking, can lead to problems.
7. Trip Fontaine in "The Virgin Suicides" (1999)
In Sofia Coppola's feature directorial debut about the tragic lives of five teenage sisters, Hartnett plays Trip, the movie's heartthrob who dates the most rebellious sister, Lux (Kirsten Dunst).
Hartnett plays his role perfectly, and Coppola frames him as a high school God on screen, complete with a flowing 1970s-style haircut and stylish outfits.
6. Dave "Boy Sweat" Hancock in "Wrath of Man" (2021)
The recent "Hartnettaissance" can be traced back to this Guy Ritchie action thriller.
This revenge movie set in the world of armored truck guards finds Hartnett playing one of the guards who befriends Jason Statham's character.
It won't be the last time Ritchie calls on Hartnett to bring one of his characters to life.
5. The Salesman in "Sin City" (2005)
As the slick assassin in the Robert Rodriguez adaptation of Frank Miller's iconic comic series, Hartnett's character plays a key role in bookending the movie.
His voiceover narrates his target at the start of the movie at a party. Then, dressed as a doctor at the end of the movie, he encounters a woman in an elevator. She knows from the sight of him that her fate is set.
Though Harnett doesn't get a lot of screen time, his presence in both scenes is thrilling and chilling.
4. Matt Eversmann in "Black Hawk Down" (2001)
Hartnett is front and center in Ridley Scott's acclaimed war movie, which follows the aftermath of a Black Hawk helicopter crashing in enemy territory in Mogadishu in 1993 during the Somali Civil War.
The role was a breakthrough in positioning Hartnett as not just a heartthrob, but a good actor in his own right.
3. Danny Francesco in "Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre" (2023)
Teaming again with Guy Ritchie, Hartnett delivers one of his best performances in recent memory. In this Ritchie action movie, Jason Statham plays a spy who must track down a device before an arms dealer (Hugh Grant) sells it to the highest bidder.
Hartnett plays the dealer's favorite actor, whom Statham's character uses to infiltrate the dealer's world.
Here, Hartnett gets to flex his comedic chops, as his egotistical actor character suddenly has to be as tough as the characters he plays on screen.
2. Danny Walker in "Pearl Harbor" (2001)
Michael Bay's blockbuster fictional epic about the attack on Pearl Harbor was slaughtered by critics and became a punching bag for audiences throughout the summer of 2001. But despite all of that, it features one of Hartnett's best performances.
Starring alongside Ben Affleck as two best friends who survive the attack, the role marks the biggest studio job Hartnett has had to date. Not only does Hartnett deliver an impressive dramatic performance, but he also carries the movie's main love story, alongside Kate Beckinsale.
1. Zeke Tyler in "The Faculty" (1998)
The same year Hartnett made his big-screen debut in "Halloween H20," he also starred in Robert Rodriguez's sci-fi horror "The Faculty."
As the rebellious, drug-dealing student at an Ohio high school who is repeating his senior year, Hartnett delivers all the qualities that would go on to make him famous: His boyish good looks, his brooding intensity, his signature deep voice, and that late-1990s look where you wear a long-sleeved shirt under a T-shirt.'

hi, i hope you're doing well!
my gender: female
gender i'm attracted to: male
about your future spouse: i shuffled my playlist to channel some songs from them! i got:
thinking about you - frank ocean
my boo - usher x alicia keys
fairy of shampoo - dosii
my favourite part - mac miller x ariana grande
i enjoy watching early 2000s romantic korean movies, and one of my fave, is ‘my sassy girl’! this is so iconic and now i get why everyone loves it. their story starts out amidst through coincidences, but slowly their feelings grow for each other. they are the prime example of calm bf x chaotic gf. i don't wanna give out spoilers accidentally by talking about them too much. hope you like it <3
may i please know what film couple is like me and my future spouse?
initials: KS if you need them.
p.s. omg we're moots now hihi ~(つˆДˆ)つ。☆
hii!! thank u for sending in an ask and the songs. and yes i followed bc your blog is so cute and i love the things you reblogged. ok moving on to your reading: eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (2004)
i think this couple fits you and your fs pretty well, i think your fs will be someone who's more quiet or not as social. they only really get talkative around ppl who they are close to, so once you both get to know each other better it will be easier to see the more witty and fun side of their personality. this person seems like someone who longs for love but doesn't want to admit it out of embarassment or of their own insecurities. they seem like really guarded, like they are almost scared of letting someone in. the connection with you two will be pretty instant, i think they will fall first but you will be the one to make the first move. i feel like this is going to take place in a party or get together sort of scenario. im hearing a lot of late night convos - especially about childhood and memories of loved ones from the past. also feeling some insecurities getting discussed, not exactly sure who is speaking about that but i feel like you both will comfort each other well. it kind of reminds me of this one scene from the movie. it might not exactly be about looks but i feel like it might have something to do with childhood or pain from the past. some last details about this person is that they seem rlly outdoorsy and probably likes taking hikes and exploring nature areas. they have an eye for nature photography and is something that they want to get into more.
that is all that im getting right now, thanks for the movie recs and please leave feedback!

💛Smoshblr December Asks Day 23💙
What are your top 3 favourite books (/comics/manga/poems/etc...) and/or top 3 you would recommend to others?
Oh, here we go, we're in my house now! (Obligatory "I could never choose just three" disclaimer here)
Microserfs by Douglas Coupland - I love the way Coupland writes, and this is my favorite of his fiction novels. It follows a group of programmers who leave their safe jobs at Microsoft to risk at all for their own start-up. It's funny, sweet, and very nerdy. (Other gems by this author: Generation X; JPOD; The Gum Thief)
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller - I'm obsessed with the story of Achilles and Patrocles, and this retelling still far exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful, epic, and impossibly tender. It's the first and only book that's ever made me audibly sob.
Nimona by ND Stevenson - Stevenson started Nimona right here on tumblr, when they were an art student! The comic follows Nimona who wishes to become a villain's henchman, and Ballister Blackheart, the "villain" in question. This comic is full of heart, it's hilarious, and I'm forever in love with Stevenson's art style.
And now, I hope you're warmed up, because I'm about to rec you. (I'm sorry, that's very sexual; forget that part.)
I put recommendations under the cut, please check them out!
ALSO, if you like quizzes, I have a uquiz where I recommend you books based on your answers! You can find it here; and my ask is open if you wanna talk about your result :)
Thank you for asking!
I obviously recommend my three favorites listed in this ask, but I also recognize that they're not for everyone, so here are three others:
If you like comic books and feminist history, I recommend "Brazen: Rebel Ladies Who Rocked the World" by Pénélope Bagieu A collection of short comics about iconic women who have left their mark on the world throughout history. Gorgeous art style, factual history, and a lot of humor. (Translated into over a dozen languages, in case English is not your favorite; I read it in Danish myself)
If you like classics, but not the 'fancy ladies talking about marriage while needlepointing' kind of classic, I recommend "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas You're probably at least somewhat familiar, but just in case: The young d'Artagnan goes to Paris to become a musketeer, joining forces with Athos, Porthos, and Aramis in their efforts to take down the corrupt Cardinal Richelieu. The writing style is surprisingly modern, making it more readable than many classics of the time; and it's dramatic, swashbuckler-y, and fun.
If you think horror and comedy go hand in hand, I recommend "John Dies at the End" by Jason Pargin/David Wong John and Dave are slackers all but sleepwalking through life in their small town; until they do a mysterious drug at a house party and gain the ability to see the supernatural. Turns out their sleepy town is chockful of horrific creatures, and now that John and Dave can see them, they're putting up a fight. It's a genuinely funny read, but it also scares the shit out of me. And it's a series! There are 4 books in total, so far; in my opinion, each one is scarier than the one before.
